Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh Joe.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
During the Cowboys Jets game, Jerry Jones had no problem
letting Jets fans know how he really felt.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Check out this video, Ojo, let me see what Jerry
talking about?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Can you see? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:13):
I see it, I see it.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
Yeah yeah, Okay, stop playing with me, yo, stop playing
with me.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Little fingermaking Hey I might be the owner? Yeah, I
like little Finger might cost Jerry a little money. In
two thousand and nine, Tennessee Titans on former owner Rest
in Peace, Bud Adams will find two hundred and fifty
thousand for a similar incident for a series of gestures
made in the direction of Buffalo Bill's fan. The league
find Carolina Panthers on a David Tepper three hundred thousand

(00:44):
dollars for throwing a drink in the direction of the
Jacksonville Jacks fan. O Jo, do you think a six
figure fine is enough enough of the deterrent or a
punishment for a guy that has a franchise value that
twelve billion, who has a that worth a probably fifteen billion?

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Man, Jerry ain't tripping. Jerry not tripping.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Temper wasn't tripping.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
And uh young boy that did it before that wasn't
trip obviously fans probably heckling. You know how, you know
how people feel about the Cowboys, and I feel people
feel about Jerry Jones. They don't like him. A lot
of people don't like him, and he just wanted to
let those people know. Listen, I don't like y'all either.
And he'll take this with you.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
And he's warted. He was waiting.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
He's waving that cowboy fans and didn't hit the mothers
with that.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
That's for you, that's for you.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah, I mean, listen, yeah, they probably they gonna probably have.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Yea, they're gona find him at least a quartering. They
gonna they gonna let him know. Listen, Jared, you know
you can't do that. You can't do that.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
You know his five hundred thousand, Go ahead and do
what you want with that.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
You know what you will, and just just.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Well, here's a million, because I'm gonna get somebody else too.
I'm just letting you know. I will give somebody else.
I'm gonna be somebody else stadium and we go win,
and they're gonna be heckler be and I'm gonna show
out on them too. So but yeah, Jerry, look, Jerry
knows yeah, he'll probably. I'm surprised he didn't mention it.
He didn't mention on his radio show today. But you're like, yeah,

(02:08):
I know, I can't do that. Jerry's gonna say all
the right things.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
But he's like, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
And that's the funny thing when it comes to players,
when it comes to owners, when it comes to quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
They always say the right thing. They always say the
politically correct thing. And that's what I told you.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
We talked about I think last year, and you said,
can Ward can't say something like that because the franchise.
You can't do that when you're representing an organization, whatever
it may be. But I would love I would love
if we got back to a place where you just
say exactly how you feel and how it really is
right now at that moment. But it's just something you

(02:44):
can't But I just love I would love that raw
authenticity from players and owners when it comes to having
being really for that to be careful.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I don't know if you notice we getting back to
a place that where it was previously, I don't know
if you noticed it paying attention.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I don't want it to go back like that.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
I don't I don't miss nothing.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Okay, I don't miss nothing.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
I can see it little, little by little. As matter
of fact, let me tell you how much I pay attention.
I pay attention to all the distractions that they continue
to have going on to make sure we ain't paying
attention to the things that are changing behind closed doors.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
You see it, I see it all. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
I may play a fool on camera, but I ain't
one off.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Nope.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Uh. I think the biggest thing is is Roger Goodell
commission probably call Jared like Jared, come on John, Jerry,
and Jered goes say out he was having a little fun.
He's having a little fun because Jerry he likes to
have fun.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
He really is.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I mean, look, having the little bit that I've been
around him, he really is a great guy. He'll go
and if he you're out. If you ever see Jerry
out and you somewhere, he gonna send you a drink.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Thank you, Jerry. I don't drink well here the soda.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I'm trying to think, Oh it's Houston. When huh the
comeback the Patriots and I saw he drove. I don't
think maybe the next year, when did Jerry go into
the Hall of fame. But anyway, it might have been
then because he was on the bus. He had his bus.
He got a big old tour bus and it got

(04:16):
like the Man Cruiser and it got the cowboy big
cowboy logo. Okay, so that so the next year and
uh and he yeah that was yeah, so yeah, twenty
e septh. Yeah, so he got elected. So I was
because I signed with I was with Fox, and so
it was a twenty sixteen season, twenty seventeen.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
So that's when, yeah, you're you're absolutely right.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
And so man, I went on Jerry buss Man Man
his wife, we love you, but you got to lay
off the cowboys. The grand kid was on there, Steven,
all of us on the It was. It was but
if you if you ever around him, he really, I
mean he's really charming. He's resally personable, so it's easy.

(05:01):
He easy to like. I'm just telling you easy, really
easy to like because he is so charming, he is
so personable and and it's family the same way.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
But uh, it was. It was great. But Jared, you know,
he can't do this. He the owner.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Uh they they don't, they don't want the players to
do that. You damn shouldn't want. I mean, probably the
de facto owner of all owners of all the sports.
He's probably the most recognizable, the most visible.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Easy.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yeah, he's the he's the biggest owner, probably mister Strian Brenner.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Mm hmmm, oh yeah, hey, matter of fact, he shout
out that my boy can't bite him. I know you
probably gonna see this. I appreciate the jersey. It finally
came and finally came in the mail. I remember I
got what sure it was when I was excited when
he when he scored it, he had an interception. He done,
crazy celebration. I said, obviously, right now, you're probably one
of my favorite players.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Boom. They reached out to me. They got me a jersey.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
He signed it too. I'm not supposed to be wearing.
I was supposed to frame it.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah, my dog, is that a coast jersey?

Speaker 4 (06:09):
I can't yeah, buying them this yeah okay, yeahah yeah, Cam,
I appreciate that. Well, hey you see how big I
got God leave right, No, hey, I'm.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Swore he you know.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
I I got an email too from who when I
was in Vegas for the fight. When I was Vegas
for the fight, I went down and tried the audition
for the Chipping Dales. They finally emailed me back.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
They said not hiring.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
No, they say, they say they're hiring. They just had
a spot open up. They had to fire some dude.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Yeah, so I'm thinking about relocating out there when the
season over. Them having resident, I'm having residency, a Chippendale
residence right here.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I'm moving to Miami.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Okay, that's that's fine, that's matter of fact. A you know,
it's funny and you ain't even know. You just got
back in town.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Huh. Yeah, you did do me a favor.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
Right, look around, look around real quick and see what
you see missing out out of your room?

Speaker 6 (07:14):
I know?

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Is that? Uh?

Speaker 1 (07:17):
You know what I told a.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Man?

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Hold on, hold on, You don't see nothing missing out
of your room. I told you, I told y'all gonna
come to Vegas when you wasn't in town. And when
you listen, when you walk in your house, it's a
portrait to the right and the dog bowl to the left.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Where you get trophies.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I told you, y'all, told y'all gonna come back there
and get my stop.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah, huh.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
I told you, hey, hey, you need to you got
you know, Also, you need to work on your security system.
All I did, all I did, I cut You got
to get a d T because that system you got,
that definitely ain't it. Hey, check your cameras. Check your cameras.
Two days ago at seven o two, I'm gonna get
seven o two pm, I got, I got it, I got.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I appreciate that I got. I got a new one.
I'm I'm about to get glocked and seeing soe with
my new security.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Hey, I appreciate. I appreciate the trophies though, I appreciate.
That's love, thank you, thank you. Hey, the fact that
I had to come break in just to get my stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Shoot, you ain't getting no more though, you ain't getting
no more. Oh, I know how to get in now.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I'm gonna just wait you out of town.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Hey, that's all right, y'all. See Hey, he broke.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Hey, I'm glad because I got We were taping this,
so uh, I'm just gonna turn this over to the
Las Vegas Police Department.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
But they're not gonna be able to they're not gonna
be able to identify me because I was coming out.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
But you tell it, you tell it right now. Yourself.
But we're taping this.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I mean I could just tell them I was lying.
There's really no headline. He telling the truth because I
missed two trophies.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
He appreciate that. It was good doing business trophies. So
you know what, don't worry about it.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Don't worry about the chat y'all saw that, right, chat
y'all saw the man broke in the house. Now now
he done got his trophy and I send me my money.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
I had to come and get my trophies. I had
to come and get them.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
That's a five hour flight from Miami, five hour flight
on Spirit. I had to find where you lived at.
Then I had to go through the goddamn the house
plans to know exactly where the enter and where to
come out. Man, I had to cut the wires. I
had to get the trophies. I had to rewire everything

(09:43):
back together and then leave. That was a headache for me.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Can I get my fifty nine hundred? Now?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I got you?

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Now you know it?

Speaker 5 (09:52):
You not?

Speaker 1 (09:52):
You can get it? You can get it now, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
I appreciate that man that came to my house. Ash
and joryde was in on it cause they know the
cold to the gate to get in. First of all,
you got to get through the gate. Hold on for
one gates. I jumped them.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
I jumped them because if the cold, they'll they'll be
able to tell that somebody was there at that certain time.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
I don't need anything logged in. I don't need nothing
logged in. I jumped that.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
That ain't nothing.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
That's okay. I got something for it. Chat.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
But y'all see that he told you, Hey, you are,
he told y'all what he did so so with something bad, hash,
I ain't responsible with it. Say the man unkn't have
to do that. That ain't nothing but a little trophy
they have of them. He is anyway, I don't want
to hear that.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
I'm just a god on my side. God got me.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Yeah, that's all right. I will get you. I will
get my money back now. I want my money.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Yeah, you got you?

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Good Noe. He done broke in my house chat and
took two of my trophies. Who's my trophy? Mike McDaniel says,
Dolphins own the Steve Ross is really frustrated, McDaniel. He's
really frustrated, just like I was. We talked about the
challenge ahead to get ready for the Chargers, and that

(11:14):
was really the extent of it. Miami's one and four start.
Is this worse than twenty nineteen. The team's previous two coaches,
Brian Flooryd's and Adam Gase, were fired at the end
of their third season. Ross dismissed Joe Filban after a
one to three start in its fourth season, Tony Sperano
after a four to nine start in his fourth year
in twenty eleven. Ojo is Mike McDaniel officially on the

(11:38):
hot seat? Yeah, on that last year.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Absolutely, he's on the hot seat. Listen. And personally I
love Mike McDaniel. I love Mike McDaniel.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
And as we always say, players get coached.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Absolutely, they're not playing well. They're not playing well. The
better the players you have on the field, the easy
it is for you to win and have success.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Right now, obviously with the with Tyreek go on offensively,
even when Tyreek was there.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
They weren't correct things.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Yeah, that thing for the Dolphins just aren't going well
as they were two years ago when they were on
fire offensively, offensively, and it's just it's not good. I
think they're in somewhat of a rebuild. I'm not even
gonna say somewhat. They're gonna have to rebuild. They're gonna
have to tear it down and start all over. They're
gonna have to tear it down and start all over.
And I'm hoping, I'm hoping that Mike mcdamon can make

(12:27):
it through the season. But it's all gonna be based
on the players.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
He didn't make it.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
It's all gonna be based on the players and whether
they show up and show out on Sundays for their coach.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
If they don't, he might not make it the week
eight on he.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Ain't gonna make it. He might not make it the
week he ain't gonna make it on you, I mean
he might. I'm like I've said, this is last year
in Miami.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
It's it.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah, no Reek, even when they were I mean even
when Reek was there last year, they weren't playing very well.
They had a seventeen to nothing lead against Carolina and
Carolina walk them down.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
It's over.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
And I don't know what the reports are a by
guys being laid and this and that and stuff being overlooked.
I don't know what's true, but there's probably some truth.
There's even truth. There's a little truth, even in a lie.
But I understand and for him to publicly speak because

(13:22):
this is the first time that I heard, I mean
that he and the owner spoke. They speak after after
every game. I didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
You did.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
I think most coaches talk to the owners after games,
especially when they aren't going well.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
There's nothing to talk about when.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
You wait to ask your question.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
But if we keep losing, Okay, now I got to
answer to the head man. I got to answer the
head boss because not only my investment that I'm putting you,
but why are we not based on what I'm investing.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Why am I not getting goddamn return? I need a
return on that money.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
But it's all the fact that he mentioned that they Okay,
let's just say for the sake of argument, that's in place.
Coaches don't normally mention about the conversation that transpired between
the two, Okay, Okay, that's what Okay, Maybe maybe I
phrased it wrong. I'm not surprised that they meet. I'm
surprised that he divulged some of the things that they

(14:14):
talked about in said meeting. Right, Yeah, but uh yeah,
I just you know, and and and the history is Ross.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
You know.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
He got yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know if
he got short Paci.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Look, Joe Philbin lasted four seasons to Tony's Ferrano lasted
four seasons.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Uh uh. Brian Flores and Adam gazes At lasted three seasons.
So what year is this for?

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Make McDaniel three, coming up on four? This is fourth
season M two three, four five, it's fourth season.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
He good, okay, and he probably.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Got the probably gave him a contract distension after he won.
Uh took the team to the playoffs, so he probably
got a contract stench. He good.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
He's straight? Yeah, well what you mean straight? Straight? Is
he not going to No, he's straight about money? His money?
Oh no, no, hen't he gonna he gonna leave.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
I don't advocate anybody being getting fired, but back to
back seasons like this with the money that he's fitting to,
of the money that he and the draft picks that
he traded and those hot you know they they paid
the Kings Ramsom to get Jalen Ramson that they did
trade him and brought back Minka Fitzpatrick. But you know
they gave spent a lot of money for Jalen's u
uh uh for Bradley Chubb. They paid a lot of

(15:37):
money in Phillips. They just they spent a lot of
money and the return is just not there on the investment.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Yeah, man, Yeah, that that sucks. That sucks.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I'm curious where they're gonna go, especially coaching wise. I think,
uh tour they just paid to a last year so too,
probably has about maybe another three Maybe.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
They're gonna let to a key player like this. He
ain't gona that three years. He's gonna have to pick
it up. He's gonna have to play better. You have
to play better, right And dang, that's just that's just
the way it is.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Right right, right.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
That's a that's a scary thing too. That's a scary thing,
especially as as a player. You think you're safe, you
think you've gotten paid, but obviously if you're not playing
as well as you should be, especially when you're making
a certain amount of money, especially at the most important
position on the field. You know, as a quarterback, your
team go and right go, your team go. If you're

(16:38):
playing well, then everything flows really smooth because they do
everything through you. If the quarterback ain't playing well, shit,
you got damn defense better be all world they better
be top one, top two. If they're not, it's gonna
be real hard.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
To win, getary, extremely difficult. And they're not and they're
not really they're not anything special on either side of
the ball. So when you're not special on either side
of the ball, this is what you're gonna get. You're
gonna get one in four and it's gonna be a
struggle because we see New England is pretty good this year.
We see Buffalo. Buffalo is Buffalo. So there are no
what's what's Miami's next five games?

Speaker 4 (17:12):
It's not a matter of fact you said New England
is good. Yeah, ye, New England good because of who.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
They got the Chargers next, Browns, Falcons, Ravens, Bills. They might.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
I mean they can they can, you know, if Lamar
is not back, they can beat the Ravens. Ain't looking charges,
No chargers gonna get charges just coming off coming off
the laws to they're definitely looking for somebody to take
their frustrations out on. Yeah, they're that a right now.

(17:48):
People looking at the Dolphins like, okay, play the Dolphins
and call me tomorrow, like the doctors.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Say, take you and uh.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Hey, the Dolphins. Basically the homecoming game. Who we want
to schedule for homecoming?

Speaker 1 (18:03):
It's all good. Yeah, we're gonna be all right. Everybody
laugh now, But when we bounce back, boy, y'all ain't
bouncing back. Won't be back all right? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (18:13):
When when that gonna happen, give it, give it through.
We gotta rebuild twenty We got is it's gonna happen
in the twenty thirties, all right, guys all, oh Joe,
we got a very very special guest joining us. We
got the gold medal winning hunting me, the hurdle specialist woman.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
She has the American record of twelve seventeen. She's chasing
that Toby Alminston's record, the Nigerian of twelve twelve, and
I think she's gonna get it.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Massides, Thank you for joining us, Thank you for having me.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
How are you, guys?

Speaker 1 (18:44):
We're doing amazing? What up? Twin?

Speaker 5 (18:47):
Nothing much?

Speaker 2 (18:48):
The World Championships did not go as plan? I mean
you have been running up until that, running really well.
You go twelve seventeen, You're into the twenties, low twenties
the entire season, and for what reason you weren't able
to put it together in the finals of the World Championships.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
If you don't mind explain what do you think? What
do you think went wrong?

Speaker 5 (19:10):
I think a lot went wrong. Of course everyone knows.
I was, like you said, running all these crazy times
throughout the year.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
But I'm not the type to make up any excuse
as into why I didn't get the job done. I
think the main thing was just not the best planning
going into the meet, and me and my coach kind
of talked about that, and I can assure you that
those things won't happen again. And a lot of different
things went into like a lot of things had a

(19:36):
reason as into why I didn't do what I needed
to do.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
But like I said, I'm not in the business I'm
making up excuses. I'm young.

Speaker 6 (19:42):
That was my second Global final, the first one I won.
The second one didn't go as planned. But I can
assure you that it won't happen again.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
That's what we like to hear. Besides when you when
you look, I got kids older than you. But I
know the I know women hurdless, so I go back.
I know Greg, Gail Devers and Joanna Hayes and Don
Harper and Lolo Jones. Yes and when when and Breonna
Rollins when we swept and Kenny Harrison when she set

(20:11):
the world record.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
You're Donca Doncaver.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
I was around when You're Donca Doncover set the world
record in eighty eight of twelve twenty one. She also
won the Olympics in Seoul that year, so I know
I got I know the women I followed. I love
track and field. I don't know if you could tell,
but I love track and field. It's my favorite. I
was a professional football player, but the sport that I
love to watch that I really enjoy. It is the

(20:35):
only sport that I watched with the sound. On all
the other sports I watched, there is no sound. I
love to hear Otto Bolton. I love to hear Sonya
Richard Ross. Carol Lewis used to be on the call
as the as the lady that called the that called
the track and field. But I say that to say this,
how soon can we expect you to challenge that world record?

Speaker 6 (20:59):
Hey man, I feel like whenever it's meant to happen,
it's going to happen. I got another meat this weekend.
But yes, shout out to a flows.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
They're giving us another opportunity, another platform. All withamss meat
to do our thing, But you.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
Know, I don't know when it's gonna happen, And I
feel like, for me personally, I'm not like on a
timeline to like when am I gonna brek the work?
When am I gonna break thro a record? You know,
I know when I run my fastest times, I'm not
thinking about what I'm gonna do. It just kind of happens.
And I feel like when you're like reaching and searching
and trying to like break the record or run a
fast time, it never happened. So for me, whenever it's

(21:37):
gonna happen, it's gonna happen. Just like when I run
at twelve seventeen and at twelve nineteen, it didn't feel
like it.

Speaker 5 (21:41):
It just happened. So you know, at the end of
the day, whenever it's meant to be, it's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
You got your cash, y'at ready?

Speaker 5 (21:48):
Get ready cash?

Speaker 1 (21:50):
They wiped that call? What they put that thing in
right up? Immediately?

Speaker 5 (21:56):
No, I'm ready, I got it ready.

Speaker 6 (21:58):
We got the download, and I don't set the why
you're transferred about baking number, routing number.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
I got everything, go ahead, O Joe, and what hey,
what part?

Speaker 4 (22:10):
What part? When do you get a break, when you
get to relax, When do you have downtime to do
some of the things you love to do outside.

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Of truck I think I run at seven twenty the
break starts to seven twenty one.

Speaker 6 (22:24):
I'm gonna be chilling after that. I'm chilling for like
two months. I don't want to hear, I don't want
to smell, I don't want to think of a track.
So I'm actually going to Miami.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
As my vacation, so I'll be in your city.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
I want to know what's in the water at Bullets.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
I'm trying to figure out how to hell Quincy Wi
Wilson yourself.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
All these people come out of this one. What is
going what? What is it? What's the track program? I'm
trying to figure out what y'all got going on.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
It's low key like a college program, but it's just
in a high school setting.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
You know.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
I just think it's the coaches. I think the coaches
just have like really maximized like wanting to be a
good program.

Speaker 6 (23:07):
And yeah, I just think that they've done the research.
They want to be the best. You know, somebody got
to be the best. Somebody has to do it. Somebody
has to put the work in. And I think those
coaches over there just they understood what they wanted to do.
And you know, every year ever since I was a
junior and senior, they've been killing it ever since.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
So for a program to.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Just like continue to produce like world like I mean
honestly world class talent like me, I mean most people
at win d one. Quincy Wilson got a gold medal
last year.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
I got to go medal. So you know, I feel
like the proof is in the put in And if
you want run fast, you already know where to go.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
What made you go to I'm I'm trying to figure
this out. Sid, Sid McLaughlin Lebron. He goes to Kentucky.
You go to Kentucky. Now, at the time, Kentucky was
not that program. I forget the other sprinter, the hundred
meter specialists, you run one hundred to two hundred. She
ran the full hundred. Abby Steiner, she went to Kentucky.

(24:04):
But when I look at programs LSU, Texas, Arkansas, USC
and I'm like, when the Kentucky, I know Edric He's
now the head coach at a maybe he was your coach,
but I think now he's at the University of Texas.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Was he your coach at Kentucky?

Speaker 5 (24:21):
No, so I was a year late. Right when he left,
I came in. So then Rolando Green became the head
coach there.

Speaker 6 (24:27):
And he's been the head coach. He's my coach and
he's been who's been coaching me ever since I was
like first step foot on the campus and then now
still my professional coach. But I don't know, I don't
know what's in the Kentucky border. I know it's like
hurdle you that we're like doing our big one in
terms of that because it's me Jesswatch Quinn, Kenny Harrison. Yes,
like it's just like every single year, like it's a

(24:50):
hurdler doing their things.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
So yeah, I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
I just think it's I don't know, it's just one
of them programs that, like I think have had a
lot of just a lot of good luck and success
and some hard working people in the hurdles and then
even just like outside of the hurdles, but definitely the
most stacked in the hurdle.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Yes, you know what was funny too, is I'm thinking
about in high school. You know, I was, I was
a track runner. I was very fast, you know, in
a hundred I was, that was nine to nine.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
And I ran the two hundred yard.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
Dad, okay, hundred yard not me?

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah no no, no hound
of meters. I would not. I would nine eight nine
nine in high school.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Now I just yeah, So I'm thinking about, you know,
my daughter's that can take obviously, you know my daughter's
on the track team at Kentucky too, So I'm thinking
I still got some eligibility.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
So I'm thinking about.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Enrolling and running to seeing seeing if I could, I
could probably know do a.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
You're gonna come to Kentucky. You're gonna company teammates away,
baby shot.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yeah yeah, that's never been with his grades, he couldn't
get in. You ain't got that to worry about. Baby.
He good, he good. So you just beside.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Had we had Melissa Jefferson on and we were talking
to her, and this was before she actually ran, and
I said, you know what I said, watching you run,
I said, there have been very few women only and
recently back up ten six with another ten six, so
you could tell she was in tip top form.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
I say, you have the people in the World Championship
when you look.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
At who's around and you look at you had to
Louse Smith and you had Shit Carry, and you had
Julian Alfred and you had Dina Asher Smith. You had
all these women in there, so you had the people
that can push you. You had the conditions even on
a rainy track, and she ran what she ran. I said,
if you get a favorable with win, I said, I
think you can go sub ten five. I mean sub ten.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Six, she said.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
In her mind she thought she could run low ten
to five. I say that to ask you. You get
the ideal conditions. You get you get a start, you
get Atia Jones, you get an almin Son and you
get kombucha in that race, and you get perfect condition.
You say, you don't think about it, but you know

(27:11):
you're gonna probably need to run low in order to
be first to the tape.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:16):
Absolutely, I mean that's always the mindset lining up against
the women's hurtles.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
I mean, we're definitely the most competitive event across the board.
And that's the thing.

Speaker 6 (27:24):
If you're not shown up at your best, like it's
gonna be tough to bring a win like it ain't
ever gonna be an easy.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
Win in the women's hurdles.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
But I know for me personally, the way that like
I view myself and the way that I am and
the way that my work ethic is, it's just like
I know when I'm at my best and when I'm
mentally locked in and physically locked in, it's.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Not a lot of people that can humbly compete with me.

Speaker 6 (27:46):
And I feel like I've showed that, Like I don't
have the world record, but I'm I'm the only woman
to ever run twelve one twice in the same year.
So even though you know, Tokyo didn't go as planned,
everything always happens for a reason. So, like I said,
that's gonna be the first and last time that y'all
ever see that happen. And yeah, I mean I know,
like I'm a game time competitor. I'm a big time competitor.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
So at the end of the day, like I'm gonna
show when it counts.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
You're not the world You don't have the world record
yet yet.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
Yeah, matter of fact, you know, I have a question
too as a as a former hurdler, uh with much experience,
obviously there are different phases and strengths and weaknesses when
it comes to when we do run, When it comes
to you, when it's time to run the hurdles, what
do you think the strongest part of your race is?

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Is it the beginning, is it the middle?

Speaker 5 (28:36):
Or it's gonna sound kanagacky, but.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Go ahead talk.

Speaker 5 (28:44):
I know you don't care, but like you can't you
like running being a twelve war hurdler. There's not like
a bad part of your race. But I think my
what I'm most known for is definitely the back end,
and that's what like separates the for most But you know,
I think what changed this year is that I got
like this are mixed with the finish.

Speaker 6 (29:01):
So, like you said, perfect conditions, perfect setting. Even when
I ran the twelve one and Grand Slam, like it
was a great track, perfect wind, perfect temperature. Yeah, I
mean it was just it was just a great day.
And then when I ran my twelve one in Poland,
it was like fast track, good.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
Energy, good vibes, Like I felt good. So you know,
like I said, at the end of the day, when
it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (29:24):
I'm like getting closer and closer, so it's I'm definitely
feeding for and it's gonna happen when.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
Its Hey are you are you superstitious or do you
do the same routine before every race?

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Do you have the same meal?

Speaker 6 (29:38):
I like cut back because I mean I definitely well
when I was like in high school and honestly in college,
I don't know what I was thinking about before I
competed it.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
I'm like, I just was like I feel like I
was like a little baby, just out there competing.

Speaker 6 (29:49):
But then when I went pro, like before the Olympics,
like my, my, my whole mindset just completely changed. So
I think that now I definitely have a routine, but
I try not to like be oh, picture perfect, because
it's like, at the end of the day, it ain't
never gonna be the same. It's never gonna be like
you can't replicate it. So you can do certain things
that are the same, but you just got to show

(30:10):
up and run. Like at the end of the day,
I tell myself, I'm fast, so that's all it is. Like,
if I'm fast, I'm fast. It don't matter what the
weather is, what the time is, how it is, just
it is what it is.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
So just believe in that and just be true to
that and you go and run fast. So I try
not to like get too caught up.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
We had a moment.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
One thing. I have a question when it comes to dying.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Are you one that is free when it comes to
what you consume or do you are you strictly on Okay,
I always gotta eat healthy. Everything always has to be
good for my body. Or do you have a healthy
balance of Okay, I'm gonna eat McDonald's like oh cho,
But also on the other hand, I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Make sure I eat Yeah.

Speaker 6 (30:51):
So I feel like in the off season I go
kind of kind of crazy, but like in season, I
just try to stay away from the fire foods just because,
like I've learned a little more about like nutrition and
how it processes anybody. So now you know, when I
was in high school, you know, I'll be doing the
Chick fil a for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, like you know.

(31:11):
But I just try to eat just clean, like not
even just like as an athlete, just like as a human.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
Right, and we run like the way my coach trains.
We get to run the track.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
So if you're not fueling the right way, you're gonna
feel terrible. So for me, like, I just stay away
from like the fry foods. But I love a good sweet.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
I can't lie like I'm always okay a little sweet
every now and then. Yeah, you still eat McDonald's.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Yeah, that's why do you think I look like this.

Speaker 5 (31:42):
I can't believe you still eat McDonald's. You and Shaya
y'all gotta stop you eat McDonald's.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
No, that's why he's so smat. No I eat, I have,
I eat, I try to eat it. I eat healthy.
I probably I eat, try to eat three to four
times a day.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
So that's twenty eight meals, so twenty at least twenty
five will be tremendous rice, broccoli, carrots, chicken, ground turkey,
lean cuts or pro lean cuts of beef, stuff like that.
And then you know, I might have you know, I
might have a sausage, biscuits or something like that. But
the majority of the time, but yeah, yeah, oh yeaholi, no.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
Hell nah vestibles. But you ain't even had a big
mac with lettuce eat vestivals.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
They covered tomatoes too, man, they are putting no tomatoes
on no big Mac.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
I get, I get, I get tomatoes on my big Mac.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
What you're talking about you see. You see what I'm saying.
He's not gonna go to class. He had, he had
one class all day. He was in the same classroom
the whole day.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Missides. He not going back to school. That's why I
got it. I got to keep an eye on him.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Well we go places, I gotta I gotta leash he
locked on my arms because he'll wander off.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
I didn't want to tell you about I was trying
to save it. I didn't want to let nobody know.
But obviously, University Kentucky offered me a one year scholarship.
They offered me a scholarship. I sent in my film in,
I said, the footage, and they saw me running hundred. No, yeah,
Coach Green, he said, He said, listen, I'm thinking about

(33:30):
give you a scholarship.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Can you come in and run the one into two?

Speaker 1 (33:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
They saw they saw him running, they saw him leaving
them all. They said, yeah, he might running hundred.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Right, And y'all, y'all don't believe in me. Y'all y'all
too acting like my high school teachers.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Man.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
They told me about going to mount the ship. I'm
telling I'm gonna PuO you wrong.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Masside, Thank you for joining us. Congratulations on winning goal
in the past Olympics. Look, things didn't work out sometimes
you have Hey, you follow everything was feeling great and
I know you wanted to back up, you know, consolidate
the globals with a with a gold in Tokyo, but
it didn't happen. Hey, you get a chance Saturday. Enjoy
your time off and come back next year. What is
the Ultimate Championships the next year?

Speaker 5 (34:15):
Right, Ultimate Championships here in September next year.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Okay, so before we get you out of here.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
So now you're gonna take a month or two off, chill, relaxed,
you know, eat, you know, eat some you know, I
don't know if you like breakfast, you like pancakes.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
You like yes, bas my favorite bill.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Breakfast is my favorite bill.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Also, So so how soon before you get back and start,
you know, doing a little light jogging, doing a little
passive stretching, get back in the weight room.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
How uh? November December, first of the year for the.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
November shout a little too close, but.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Close to so the first of the year, huh.

Speaker 5 (34:56):
I'm pushing more towards the first of the year.

Speaker 6 (34:58):
I probably started getting up and moving a little bit
like in December, just like getting my feedback under myself.

Speaker 5 (35:03):
But I'm showing up for actual training with my coach,
probably into the first of the year.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Yeah. So what do you what do you train? If
you don't mind me asking?

Speaker 5 (35:12):
Still at the University of Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Okay, So okay, so you live in Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Okay, Well, congratulations, continue success, stay healthy.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I just
thought about something. Sixty meter hurds. If we race, you
think you'll beat me.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
But if we both do the hurdles. Have you run
a flat sixty and I'm going over hurdles?

Speaker 1 (35:33):
No, I'm I'm going over hurd I'm a hurdle runner.
She beat you fixty? Oh Joe? Hold on, hold on. Besides,
I have been great, Holloway in practice.

Speaker 5 (35:44):
You got your answer to you beating me? You smoking me?

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Okay? When I got I got a massage, I guess
you in a straight sixty period? What like, no hurdles?
I got massage gives.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
You tick Kentucky. You already know where I stay.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
I got massage against you straight up sixty meters.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Okay, bet bet where I'm gonna be at bet okay,
bet bet I matter of fact, I beat you and
my daughter.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
And you know, as a matter of fact, and guess
what when it happened, Massides, March around March or April.
When you back in shape, we're gonna come down there
and we're gonna we're gonna put it.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
We're gonna put it on. We're gonna put the money
on the ground.

Speaker 5 (36:24):
Put the money on the floor. Put it on the floor.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Hey, hey, when you when you run back, I want
you to pick it up as you crossing the line
first to go in and grab it. We go ahead,
grab it, cut money out of side, cause a fight, Masside.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
Thank you for joinings.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Congratulations on all your success, continue success. Hey, come back
and join us sometime soon.

Speaker 5 (36:48):
Thank you guys so much. I appreciate y'all.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
All right, thank you. Massides.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Russell American Olympic champ in a hundred meter hurdles and
she's the American record holder with a twelve seventeen. She's
the only woman to have two sub twelve twenty hurdle races. Congratulations,
We'll see you down the road.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Maya bye, oh Joe.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Bengals coach Zact Taylor isn't relinquishing one of his team's
most important duties. Taylor confirmed today he will retain his
role as teams offensive play caller. After the Bengals suffer
that third straight lost thirty seven to twenty four home
defeat to the Lions. Cincinnati mustard just three points through
the first three quarters for the third and secuty week,

(37:34):
Taylor said.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
He'll continue his dual capacity.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
He's hell since taken over the team's head coach in
twenty nineteen.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
Yeah, he don't need to relinquish nothing.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
I know what they need to do. Can I tell
you that what they need to do?

Speaker 3 (37:49):
Now, that's my team and I love them.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
I love them to death. But boy, I don't care.

Speaker 4 (37:54):
If you had Jesus in the twelve Disciples that quarterback,
they gonna be running for their life. But Jake Browning,
he get the ball before he could even turn the
ball around and grab the lacers to look down the
field to see where you want to throw the ball.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Boy, he running for his life.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
You hear me calling that gap protection?

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Then hey, but let me tell you something, Zach Taylor,
what do we need to do? If you understand there's
a weakness at the office of line.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
What do we do.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
Okay, we got Jake Browner in shotgun. Let's go quick game,
condense the goddamn splits. Run crosses, run whips, run the
stick routes. Allow him to get in the rhythm to
get the ball out of his get the ball out
of his hand fast.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
You know they're way there.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
They're ways to manipulate the play calling because there's a
certain weakness up front.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
You can do that.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
You can do that two seconds.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
This NFL if them boys can't block for two seconds
to allow him to get the ball out and shotgun,
they don't need to be on the goddamn team. I
saw alive with my with my own eyes on the safety,
on the safety he took.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Yeah, I saw that that what were doing.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
It was one second, one second. It's one on one.
No disrespect to the guard. You can't do that at
this level. How do you whiff?

Speaker 3 (39:21):
He didn't even make a good move.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
He stepped, He stepped to the right, and he and
he went to the left, and you whiff completely.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Just stay NFL, come on, man, well he about to
lose both of those duties at the end of the season, unfortunately.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
Jo Yeah, another thing I'm glad you said that, Chase, Chase,
I love you to death. I don't care if they
know what we're running. I don't care if they know
every play Boy, you're the best in the league. We
pay your forty million. At the ball in the vicinity.

(40:06):
You get jiggy with it like you did the other day.
I don't care if they know the plays. Every time
they come your way, you make magic. Whack, make magic.
No excuses none. You wear number one for a reason,
for a reason. You the best in the game for

(40:28):
a reason. Every time you come out to the other, boy,
you got to get in six l Well, I don't
care what the play is. Come to me, double team,
triple team, four people on me. Just throw it put
in the area. You know, I heard Chase say that.
They you know, they know what we're doing. They know
the player that's coming.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Man.

Speaker 4 (40:48):
Uh uh uh, boy, you wear one for a reason.
We pay your forty million for a reason. I don't
care if they I don't care if they got the playbook,
get jiggy.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
Oh y'all. You might carry some passes, but they know
what you're doing. You're not gonna win a whole lot
of games. You know that, right, I know.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
Okay, I'm right listen, I'm getting a little emotional.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
Emotional.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
Man, you got me, you got me losing.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
No, you've been a chat This man been sick for
three weeks. Hold on, I'm not sick. That man been
sick for three weeks. Chatty, y'all know what? Look?

Speaker 4 (41:24):
Oh my goodness, Hey a guess who Guess who was
our leading tackler in the game.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Chase? Yep.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
A matter of fact, because Jamar Chase was the leading
tackler and he led us in the receiving yards, we
need to pay him so more money because he playing
both sides of the ball. He's doing the job. He's
not asked to do what you're doing. Everybody heard you call.
I don't know what that is because I be smoking,

(41:55):
that's all. Hey, maybe maybe I need you think I
need to take off day.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
Man.

Speaker 2 (42:01):

Speaker 4 (42:39):

Speaker 2 (43:05):

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Where we go wherever they watching? He's sick? Yeah, hey
he a half.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
Matter of fact, y'all can put me on the track.
Put me on the track.

Speaker 1 (43:29):
I can wrap. Yeah, I'm wonder I'm gonna put him
on the eight track. Some of it ain't ever coming.

Speaker 4 (43:34):
Out, no, no, no, you know hey, listen, my penmanship
is cold, man. I can I write with the best
of them now. Sometimes the delivery ain't what it should be.
But I was in jay Z before jay Z Joe.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
Can you write in cursive? Who me? Oh? Cho? I asked,
O Cho?

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Yeah, can I write? Can I write a cursive? I
can talk and curse? I can talk, I can talk
them curse. That joke of fifty five years old is
still printing. Oh you oh, that is what I do?
H oh oh no, hey, I got some of the

(44:16):
prettiest handwriting in the world.

Speaker 5 (44:17):
Me.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
I used to write love letters to all my god goodness.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Yeah, during the day, I used to write love letters.
Matter of fact, unc matter of fact.

Speaker 4 (44:25):
Hey, Chap, if you got a girlfriend, when the last
time you use your pen to tell your girl how
you feel about her?

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Have you ever been able to express yourself on paper
like me?

Speaker 1 (44:35):
That's what I do. I write letters.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
I write, That's how that's how I get them.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
You got to think, if I don't spend no money,
how do I always end up with some of the
most beautiful women in the world.

Speaker 3 (44:46):
Uncle, you know why because my pen is phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
I don't spend no money phenomenal.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness. I've never had anyone
write me a love letter before. This is so thoughtful.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
Let me give you a chance, they said, they say
they know why, they know why you end up with
some of the most beautiful women in the world.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
The chat say they know whyn't got nothing to do it.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
Man, ain't none of my business. I don't even know
why I brought it. I don't know why I brought
it up. Hey, none of my business, and so I
ain't got that to say. What hey, hey, you know
you know uh you know my my uh, my representation.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
You know it.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
It's besides me. You know it used to call me
in high school.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
You didn't go to high school. You went to the
trailers behind the high school. Yeah, but what they call you,
what they call you? They used to call me the plumber. Yeah, yeah,
they used to call me the plumber in high school.
Ate them some good days on And the fact that
it's carried over for so long. I'm in my fifties
and they still call me the plumber. It's hard for

(46:02):
me to hold onto something for a long time. Yeah, Jimmy, Yeah, Yeah,
it's hard, but.

Speaker 3 (46:09):
You know I do what I do in the time.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
Yeah, you do how it is.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
That's what they say, Lord versus this man here North
can A lot of tar hills have started Bill Belichick
aal era where they two and three record and three
losses will blowouts against TCU, U c F and Clemson.

(46:33):
Discontent is building around the program, according to a report
by Pat Welter w r A L News, it's all
starting at the top and these boards are being affected.
A parent of a current UNC player told Welter, I
don't fought the players. I fought the leadership that created
the toxic environment. There's an individualistic mindset. The boys are

(46:57):
young and they're feeding into it. It's an UNC destructed mess.
There's no culture, no organization. It's a complete disaster. According
to the report, the players who were recruited by Belichick
and the transfer portal have been given preferential treatment. Parents
have questioned the lack of communication from the coaching staff
and hiring decisions Belichick made and his coaching staff, including

(47:21):
bringing the board two of his sons and the son
of general manager Mike Lombardi are being viewed by some
players as nepotism. The lack of experience the coaches have
is ridiculous, a source told Welter. They've always done that.
Somehow they've convinced us, and it's a lot of us
because when Lebron James do it, that's all y'all throw.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
But y'all see he got two of his son and
he brought another son.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
Yeah, so we're the only ones that look at nepotism
as a bad thing. We get in a position to
help a family member or friend, we won't do it
because us look like us say, oh man, that's never
till he shouldn't have get that job.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
But they do it all the time.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
It was reported, if I'm not mistaken what they reported
that if he leaves, his son would get the job,
Steve would get the head coaching job.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Let's look that upright, they doing our time, coach are waiting.

Speaker 4 (48:29):
I mean, that's been going on for a very long time.
I'm not sure why they's surprised now. I'm not sure
why that reports about it.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
Now.

Speaker 3 (48:36):
That's the way it's always been.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
It's been like, yes, coaches, look at look at look
at Jerry Look at Jerry's who.

Speaker 1 (48:42):
He got his daughters, he got his son, he got
all his kids working for it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
Yeah, most coaches hire coaches their kids and family. Yeah,
that's because he left the job. He's the DC at
What did the DC at Washington?

Speaker 1 (49:01):
Steve?

Speaker 2 (49:01):
I think he was the DC at Washington. Nepotism is
everybody else can do nepotism. We we look at it
as a bad thing, right, Like I said, my kids
don't don't want to be in the profession that I'm in. Okay, fine,
do your own thing. I never pushed them in any direction.
I just say, when you go to the direct direction, hey,

(49:22):
I'm gonna give you a shove. Just be the best
you can possibly be. Do you know what I'm saying.
What's the problem now? It seems to be that they're
looking at like the people that's in position, they're not
qualified to be in said position.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Qualifications on the matters to us, right that too.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
Wait a minute, now, when it comes to the coaches,
the people in those positions have a background in football.
They all have a background. They've been doing it for
a very long time. Actually they were doing it at
the highest.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
So coming down to the coming down to the collegiate level.
They had the experience and being able to coach.

Speaker 2 (50:01):
And yes, I don't got no problem with that. But
they started at the top. They ain't starting coach college
or high school. They worked their way up. They got
put on the staff because my daddy was the head coach,
or they got put in position because my dad was
the general manager, or my dad was the owner. So
it wasn't no working your way up. And I don't
got no problem with that. I don't have a problem

(50:23):
with it, just like I don't have a problem if
Lebron helped his son get on the Lakers or get
to their bed. So what they do it all the time.
But coach Belichick got a problem on his hands. Now,
I don't. I don't know if this, I don't know
if this is true. I'm willing to give the man
a couple of years, oh Joe, because it's different.

Speaker 5 (50:42):
Now.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Guys come and they go, you got the transfer portal,
and you got this and that, and it's different. And
because you got this nil and you got this collective
and you got all of that, you got these these kids.
Now it ain't just about no, no, sneakers. He said, hey,
you need you need to break these kids off. They
need to see it.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Yeah, that's it, that's it. You got this. You gotta
you gotta play.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Ain't no more waiting three four years? Don't you to
get paid? You know I can get I prepare yourself.
I can prepare.

Speaker 1 (51:08):
I can't prepare your son for the NFL.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
I know what it takes. I coached at an elite level.
I have won championship. This is okay. But in the meantime,
if you think I'm gonna come to your university and
I'm gonna wait four years to make money, You're wasting
your time.

Speaker 5 (51:24):
No.

Speaker 2 (51:25):
I mean if I I ain't gonna be held, I
ain't gonna lie. Hell if I was if I was
a kid. You come, you come to sit in the
Mary Porter House. What you talking about? Why you even
come here? You see how I'm living? You think my
grandma gonna live like this for another three years?

Speaker 1 (51:40):
Man? You watch your damn I I oh, hell nah,
I don't know what's true.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
Look, this is a this is a report said thing
and and and and I'm sure it has a lot
to do with because people. I'm sure there are some
that thought coach Belichick was gonna pick right up where
he left off in New England in the heyday. It
takes time there. These are young kids. They're gonna make mistakes.
Even even you know, professionals make mistakes. These kids are

(52:07):
gonna make mistakes. But it's different. We look at them different.
Now I'll show you know why because we used to say, oh,
jo before, man, they ain't getting paid. When you get paid,
you get looked at at a different level. I don't
care how old you are. You're making money now. Yeah,
eighteen nineteen year old Jeremiah Smith got four million dollars

(52:30):
of the Williams kids at Alabama one point eight. You see,
Carson bad got four million. Arch man in making six
No no, no, ain't no more, no, no, no, no, bro,
You're getting paid. You basically a professional.

Speaker 3 (52:41):
And the funny thing about it is everybody you just
named they're playing their wage.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
You got to. They're playing there. They're playing up to
their wage. They have to.

Speaker 4 (52:51):
They have to, you know, And all it is, all
it is is I call it. It's a starter pack.
It's a starter pack that it's gonna be like when
you get to the next level. Because the purse is
gonna be much bigger than what it is or the expectations.
Oh yeah, oh yeah, so are the expectations.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
Lebron James said the Internet into a tizzy on Monday
when he posted a cryptic teas for his second decision
on social media.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
Oh Jo, do you have any guesses what this is about?

Speaker 2 (53:20):
Tickets that were normally to get in eighty five dollars
are now four hundred and eighty five dollars for his
last home game for the Lakers, the last home game
the Lakers played the regular season in twenty twenty six.
Those tickets are going for the cheapest tickets are four
hundred and eighty five dollars.

Speaker 1 (53:39):
Damn, he might put a tease. I guess.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
You know, some people say it's a business venture. He
has something when Amazon coming out? Is it retirement?

Speaker 4 (53:49):
I don't know, Yeah, I mean obviously, I mean, I
don't think he would be discussing or talking about retirement
or putting out a cryptic tweak about anything when it
comes through time before the season starts.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
Whatever it is, I'm sure it's probably business related.

Speaker 4 (54:02):
And you never know when it comes to Lebron, and
he has so many things going on here, So you
probably really don't know.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
No, you don't really don't know.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
But the internet is going crazy. It doesn't strike me
as something that he would do, like he's gonna let
you know. Lebron plays everything close to the best. He
didn't let anybody know that he was gonna leave Cleveland
until he left. He't let anybody know he's gonna leave
Miami until he left. He let anybody know he was
leaving Cleveland again until he left, right, So.

Speaker 5 (54:36):
This is.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
Very uncharacteristic of him.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
If it was a a basketball decision, let's let's let's
say that keep it basketball related now, he could ask that,
you know, he could say I got this new company,
or I'm entering into disagreement with Amazon or Google or
who Microsoft or whatever the case may be.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
That's one thing. But business related.

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Lebron James has played it very, very close to the
best for twenty plus years.

Speaker 7 (55:03):
Absolutely absolutely, no, I gotta find me another player.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
I gotta find me another got a root for. I
don't know who's gonna be. Who y'all think I should be?
Who should I get behind.

Speaker 1 (55:23):
To root for?

Speaker 2 (55:23):
Basketball wise, No, that ain't happening, Ado Wibb. I'm trying
to think who I really like. I like Yo Kicch,
I got yok I got to pick between yok Yo Kicch,
Luca and at man.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
A man a man from the crib. Damn. But I've
been on Luca. I've been with Luca for them Jump
and Yolk guess something? Have me three?

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Oh yeah, But everybody's going crazy wanting to know what
Lebron is going to do. He say ten to seven
is when he gon announce it. Right tomorrow, Oh the
day is, oh tomorrow, the seventh. Shit, man, the days
be going so fast. I don't know what the hell
be going on. Huh yeah, yeah, oh you. I'll just

(56:32):
count that whole lot of say, November December. I got
about got about about eighty five more days in twenty five.
Then your boy, like a scout on a new route,
he out there, It is there, It is.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
You saved both.

Speaker 3 (56:50):
Come on, let me tell you, let me come on,
come on, come on back home, get it, get the
people for there.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
All right, guys, it's time for our final segment. The
evening's time for Q and A. Uh Triple X caped Saturday. Said, oh,
Jo broke in, but didn't leave your fifty nine hundred.
He didn't the least he could have DoD. I mean,

(57:20):
I spread this story when somebody broke into this lady
broke into this guy house and cleaned the house, wash
the clothes, clean the kitchen, wash the dishes and everything.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
You broke into my house, steal my merchandise and they
leave my money.

Speaker 4 (57:34):
Well, actually I went to your house and got my
merchandise that you refuse to send to me. There's a difference.
And when you're break into someone's house, you ran all black.
And the one thing I don't want is money in
my pocket.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
All right, it ain't supposed to be in your pocket.
It's supposed to be in my pocket. I want to
You want to hear my speech. No, I would to
hear your speech. I would hear so I would hear
my money. Shakur said, Uh, you're not going nothing on
them cameras, but teeth and chains it. That's how I
knew it was him. Uh, Tyler the Great twenty seven cent.

(58:11):
It's hard to get Travis involved on offense the game
when you use him to guard the number one receiver
worthy in Kelsey on defense, well, that's a part of it.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Bishop Bynette said.

Speaker 7 (58:23):
Ball.

Speaker 2 (58:26):
Then Street said, Bengals beat them, Jags, they'd beat five,
and oh if they would if, if they would have
beat the Bengals. They lost to Jake Browning and the
Bengals defense two and three. Who they y'all play Jags?

Speaker 1 (58:39):
Yeah, I think it was weak y'all. Oh y'all beat them? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (58:43):
Yeah, I think it was two.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
Kimpering on with you.

Speaker 2 (58:47):
Your five interceptions through five weeks is unacceptable for QB. Yeah,
because if he throwing five, that means he's gonna have
seventeen at the end of the season.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
And that's that's really high.

Speaker 2 (58:59):
With the fact Bengals are better than the Chiefs by default,
because Browning beat Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 1 (59:03):
Between it goes towards Ojo dead Uh no uh.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
Joey Lopez says, can we talk about the terrible calls
by the refs? Uh? I did think Hollywood Brown on
the on the on the shot up the sideline, I
thought he got interfered with. But other than that, I
thought that the game was, you know, fairly called okay.
I thought they called one that kept the drive alive.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
I thought the.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Receiver from the Jags o' shoe. I thought he slipped.
I didn't think we gonna put him down. But look,
we can go back and dissect and look at calls.
They're not gonna get every call, right, They're gonna miss some,
They're gonna get some. But it was a great game.
Congratulations to the Jag they earned this victory tonight. Little
Nitta twenty four said it was up unking old show. Hey, Oho,

(59:49):
the sooner you come to terms with the Bengals being trashed,
the better you will feel about the season.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
Lo o, L love y'all. Hold on, hold on.

Speaker 3 (59:56):
I feel good regardless, I feel good.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
I don't know what for because I understand.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
I understand.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
I understand why we're not playing well.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
Y'all terrible, So therefore to y'all terrible, I mean we're
terrible because you ain't say that about Baltimore yesterday. Baltimore,
you didn't say that by them.

Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
That's not my team, My Broncos, and my Broncos did
that thing, did Dell Joe? Okay, out here we go, Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
Johnny dem said Bengal should pick up Milton from the
Cowboys or Mills from the Texas Texans for a new backup.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
QB. I don't think Dallas is moving away on Milton.
They like him.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
I can see them me in the situation of hell
Mary at the sixty at the forty yard line and
they bring him in just to throw the hell Mary
because he had that kind of arm talent. Lady Race say,
big controversy in the chat tonight. The correct ones are
calling it a shopping cart or a cart, not a
horse and buggy from a little house from the prayer.

Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
Yeah, it's a shopping cart. Well, I mean shopping cart.

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
I don't know the doctor. Oh well, my grandma called
it a buggy. Probably don't put nothing in this buggy.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Them old people, they ain't pronounced nothing right, but you
knew exactly what they.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Was talking about exactly. Yep.

Speaker 6 (01:01:24):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Fuzz Light Year twelve said, Oh Joe, can y'all do
me a favorite invite Yankee players, coaching and trainers on.
I need that nightcap effect at the for this parlay boy.

Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
They need to do something. Man, they give it up.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
I mean they got beat what like ten to one,
and then they got beat thirteen to seven the other night.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
Yeah, that's what I said.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Aaron Jones, don't worry, We'll make McDaniels in phillys oc.
He's meant he's not meant to be a head coach.
Come up North, we got you. Yeah, might be onto something.
Tino Davis Casey plays the Lions in KC. What chance
you give KSE A great chance? I mean it's from

(01:02:05):
week to week, man, I mean you you never know.
I mean look out, look out Detroit look week one
against green Bay.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Look Out. It looked ever since.

Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
She of course say NFL want to expand and go global,
move bingals to London, so we never got to watch
them play where they play when we sleep right through
that true, Lamar Mill says, I noticed you all talk
top tier running backs and never mentioned Alvin Kamara.

Speaker 1 (01:02:34):
What tier is he?

Speaker 2 (01:02:37):
Well, it just so happens that he's on a bad team.
So it's hard to get the recognition that you deserve when.

Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
You're on a bad team, even though we know how
good you are.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
Jamal the singer, when I was a call my aunt fat,
she backhands slapped me, cut me under my eye. I'll
be thirty four the year I still got that scar. Yeah,
people didn't play back then, mate. Uh Drew Brown said,
you're unk, Okay, y'all build a dream offense.

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
You both started. Uh yeah, Larry Allen at guard.

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
I'm gonna take Jonathan Doctor at one tackle, Gary Zimmerman
at another tackle. I'm gonna put who gonna be my
other guard? I put Zach Martin at one guard.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
Quentin Nelson that center.

Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
You'll put Quitting Nelson a center. I was rested soul.
Mike Webster be my center. Uh quarterback, I'm gonna take seven.

Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
I'm gonna tie it in.

Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
I'll do Jerry t O rand as my wide receivers,
and i'mnna put barriers my running back.

Speaker 1 (01:03:57):
Mmm.

Speaker 5 (01:03:57):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
Who you got who you're who your team? Shoot?

Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
I want the same team you just said.

Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
But my receivers is me.

Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
My running back is Walter okay, and they got TiO
and Randy is my other two receivers.

Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (01:04:17):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
That conclude this episode of Nightcap. The Jacksonville Jaguars come
back late. They score twenty one unanswered, then get the
go ahead touchdown with thirty seconds remaining, as they clipped
the Kansas City Chiefs thirty one to twenty eight. Trevor
Lawrence was eighteen to twenty five, two to twenty one,
one touchdown one reception of the fumble, but he played

(01:04:42):
well when he needed to play well. The defense of
the Jags got a big time interception returns at ninety
nine yards and they win the ball game on a
Monday night and look very impressive in doing so. We
