Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jack had some words for Rudy Gobert. Let's take a
listen to what Shaq had to say about Rudy.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hey, Rudy Gobert, why don't you like Rudy fifty? You
don't deserve it though, as the president of the Big
Man Lions, you're making big money. Play like a big man.
That's it. Play like a big man. Throw some bowls,
knock some people out. Don't be letting a little white
dudes from Denver dunk on you and talk to you.
Then you got to grab them by the man.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Second.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Come on, bro, that's it. If you're gonna get paid
big money, play bill.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I just want Shaq to still be on TV when
Rudy gets into the Hall of Fame, because it's gonna if.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Rudy Gobert gets into the Hall of Fame, Gobert gets
to the Hall of Fame, I'll wear this dressed to
the mother ceremony.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Hey, lady Shack, Hey, look, I think with Shack because
Rudy is not an offensive guy, meaning he ain't shooting
the ball outside the paint. So hey, they ain't. They
ain't never gonna get rid of no credit on that.
He is a defensive big. He's a defensive guy. A
timing is everything.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Man. You know, he came along at the right time.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
But if you looking for him to offensively while you
when you think he got has a mismatch. I think
that's kind of like what Shaq thinking. He like, man,
he ain't dominating the game. Like you getting paid two
hundred some million, You can't dominate.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Shock.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Like Shaq was going up two people, three people. If
you didn't have at least three people on Shock, Shaq
was dunking on you. It wasn't even found you. Every
team that Shock played against they had three bigs. They
are eighteen files. To give up ojo, Yeah, because two
guys following out, Hey, well they're gonna have ten foules.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Oho.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
I came in and O one that was Shock. Shaq
was still in like the prime that was the Apex
Shock two thousand and one, two three. Yeah, you can
give it up, bro, We're gonna try to give as
much hup as we can. You got to fight him. Yeah,
it was it was unreal to try and stop they do.

(02:02):
He was so huge and agile. I was like, it
was unreal, Bro, it was unreal.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Shack.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Shack ain't gonna let it go. And the thing is,
here's the problem that you're running to deserve. I mean
deserve is a very very tricky word. Yeah, because sometimes
we get God's mercy and grace when we don't deserve it.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Yep, I look at it like this my notepad.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Man, Rudy's earned the money based on what they pay
his body of work. He's earned one hundred million, two
hundred million, whatever they pay him.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Shack, ain't no shock.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
If you waiting on somebody to be like you, you
never gonna see it with your own eyes in your lifetime.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
He analytically when they when they look at it from
that point of view, he dominates the game.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
You know what I mean? I means yes, yes, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
They looking at it from a deeper perspective nowadays. But
I guess, you know, I kind of understand what Shaq
is talking about.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
But Rudy's just not an offensive guy.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
He can't right, He ain't scoring outside that paint period.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
And you know what it is, Joe, And it looks
worse than this era because the scoring is up. See
if he was back in Shaq's era, hed been perfect. Yeah,
because they never say anything about Rick smiz. They didn't
say anything. They didn't say anything about Dwight Howard. But
Dwight had some years where he was twenty, he averaged
twenty points and twelve fourteen rebounds. So Dwight Howard was

(03:39):
always more of an offensive threat than Rudy Gobert. But
you look at Ben Wallace, Yeah, so he's looking at
it in today's time when you got four or five
guys averaging thirty and you got fifteen twenty thirty, twenty
guys averaging twenty and Shaq like bro you seven three,
you seven one seven three, and Bro you giving twelve

(04:02):
points a game, And so shagging look at it like
Bro for two point fifty. If Daddie Shacks looking at it,
this is Shacks taking. Shack said, if they had played
me two fifty, I give him forty at night, right, Absolutely,
that's not Shacks taking. Absolutely, Hey, y'all don't think the Hey,
these guys look at these contracts and the money that

(04:22):
these dudes making nowadays. If y'all don't think they look
at it and kind of frown upon in some of them. Yes,
they can't help it because you can only put yourself
in that position. Like man if I was around this time,
I'll be making X amount of you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yes, but what you think? What you think will and
mister Russell was thinking.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
When they making twenty thousand dollars a year and they
see guys making seventeen eighteen million a year, Yeah, the
same thing.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Go Tae, Look I'm looking at these guys now.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
We talked about George Kittle, he's making nineteen million, Ozzie
and killing and Mike Dicker and uh.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
John mckett.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
They looking at me when I was making what I
was making, the money I was making. And guess what,
in ten years from now, they're gonna be a guy
making one hundred million dollars a year in basketball a
hundi because they say ant Man could possibly be making
eighty two million in twenty twenty seven season twenty seven
to twenty eight, ant Man could possibly get the highest

(05:21):
contract eighty two million a year, a million dollars a game.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Yeah, hey, hey man, we have to pay respects to
the people who came before us, because hey, the money
these dudes making now, boy, hey, it's ridiculous. Shaq also
bet Mike Tyson that Klay Thompson's new relationship with Meg

(05:47):
thee Stallion won't last board than six weeks. Man, she
watched Shack beer Man, why Shack acting like this?

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Hey, man, just give it us a in here man
in the gym.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
They going golf and they're doing all.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Kinds of stuff. Yeah, I'm happy for that's nice. That's
that's Clay living like. Man there, y'all. I mean that's
what that's what that Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah, yeah, I think it's I think it's different now.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
I think with social media.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Do I think like athletes dated like celebs and entertaining. Sure,
but they kept it hush hush. Now you get a
picture anyone now, Yeah, Now I think now Joe and Joe,
it's hey, you cross or or you're an athlete or something.
You want to date a Mega stallion, or you want

(06:46):
to date a glow rilla, or you want to date
you know whomever. I don't want to throw nobody name
out there because you know, see somebody trying to be messing. So,
but I'm just saying, if you are an athlete and
you're uh Saul's gardeners.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Dating somebody, he dating somebody, what ice fight? Yeah? I
think so. Yeah. So in a situation like that. You
go out to you go out to eat.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
You y'all might just be in the as my grandma say,
the cold and paid y'all.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
You don't know you know what I mean? You can't
do nothing nowadays?

Speaker 6 (07:12):
O Yo, No, but listen, if you want to hide,
it's hiding as possible if you really want to hide.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, but but see, but here's the thing, O Joe.
A lot of people like what you hide me from?
Do you got something that you don't You hied me?
You don't want people to know about me? You got
somebody over here?

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Yeah of course they do. Yeah, ain't no, man, I
know some people just like their privacy. They do.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Oh Joe, you don't want to be everybody don't want
to be like you out there.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Like that, Oh Joe, dead serious, bro. Some people really
like the chill bro. They don't really be in that
for the for the for the hooping and hiland bro
for real.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yo. Okay, all right, let.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Be wildly so you mean tell me nowadays when when
people dates, if I ain't got you, if I ain't
got you, splaying it all over my here my profile,
and that I mean I'm doing something.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Even if you are all those pro Friday. Ain't ain't
stopping done.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
It ain't changing. It ain't changing.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
You're not gonna do a sit on here and act
like come on noo.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
I'm not saying that that doesn't happen. But some people
like their privacy.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
That's all.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Everybody don't want to date publicly. Everybody don't want to
be in a public relationship because guess what, everybody because
the moment you make it public, you get everybody feel
like they have the ability to chime in. And so
if you break up, if you break up, if you
date publicly, what you got to do?

Speaker 3 (08:49):
How you break up? O? Yo? Probably, but everybody don't
like that. Oyo, I like it. It don't bother me. I
like it.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Okay, that's you go through the same stuff the regular people.
I'm regular too, but we all go through the same ship.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
What am I heading?

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Fuck?

Speaker 6 (09:05):
I am?

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Yeah? It ain't.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
They just may deal with it in turnally differently with it.
It ain't because just like when you say, hey, some
people grave differently.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Listen.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
It's good though.

Speaker 6 (09:18):
If you date publicly and you break up public publicly,
then you have your supporters to help you cope. See boom,
there you go. See why you want to break up
and then you sitting down home crying, curled up in
your bed.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
You ain't gotta be doing all that. You ain't got
to do all that. And who's just saying, Who's just
saying you're not doing that? Even though you're putting on
that front.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
I don't do I don't do no crying. I'm just
saying I don't like. I don't like your tone towards me.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
No, I'm just saying, just because you out there, you
said a lot of times people be doing things publicly
and privately, they broke, they unhappy.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Okay, that's man, nobody looking at you know the help.
Ah wait.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Dwayne Wad says Kobe is a top three player of
all time and goes off on Bleacher Report for ranking
him eleventh on their all time list. If you ask
us Hooper, who played against Cob, all of us are
going to talk top three of all time?

Speaker 3 (10:18):
I agree?

Speaker 1 (10:21):
So where about the guys that played against Kareem? Where
we're gonna rank Kareem? All the guys that played, all
the guys that played against Jordan.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Somebody. I'm not saying Kobe should be eleven.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
I'm not look, whatever the case may be, but you
see what you see what Jordan? Jordan got number one,
and I think the lawyer's heat ranked was like two
or three. Lebron the highest heat rank was two. Maybe
the lawyers he ranked was like three. So for the
most part, people have been having Jordan going back and forth. Okay,

(10:52):
wherever you go. Hey, look, you can debate this until
the cows come home. But and I've said this, Joe,
the guy that gets undervalue the most is Kareem abdu
A Jabbar.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Yep, I agree, because he had he had the uh
he had the scoring record for the longest, had it
for forty years until Lebron broke it.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Yeah, yeah, when almost forty years. Nobody thought. They didn't
think nobody. First of all, big guys played that long.
Because after you get to a certain point a Kareem, Ay,
Kareem get the rebound to kick it out.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Hey, magic will hold that thing up. Make Kareem get
down there to the block.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Kareem throw that hand up, They throw it to him,
he throw the skyhook, go back down. Nobody thought anybody
was gonna break it because even when Karl Along got close,
Karla long body fell apart, Kobe. Kobe started falling apart,
Jordan started, the body started breaking down. So they ain't
nobody gonna break it. They didn't think nobody could break it.
But he got six MVPs. Six He got bored than anybody. Yeah,

(11:58):
and back then the that was the last year that
the players were allowed to vote.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
The players used to vote for the MVP. Joe, Yeah,
I don't know. They don't let it. They don't let
it happen no more. No, because in sixty two, was
it sixty two? I think? Uh no, no, no, no, no,
might have been sixty six. I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
I don't understand why, why why the players can't vote.
They think it's favoritism.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
The don't think they'll keep it real. No, they're not.
Because of my friend, my buddy. That's how it was
for the Pro Bowl. Hey man, man, he's such and
such a man. Make sure you vote for such and such. No,
y'all ain't gonna keep it real. Let's be real. We
got friends and they on the ballot. I'm gonna vote
for him. Hey, Plus, he in a contract. You're knowing
that if he makes first or second team all NBA

(12:48):
guess what he gets, he gets a super max contract.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
But then here, but then here's the thing. Then we
leave it in the hands of people who never played
the sport before.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah, and now then now you're still gonna have a drop.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
You're not gonna yeah, you're not gonna You're not gonna
be able to pie appease everybody. Somebody gonna have somebody
gonna be upset what you say. So let me ask
you this, Joe, you played the game, where would you
rank Kobe.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
In front of all those guys?

Speaker 4 (13:17):
So you got him in the top, you got him
in the top five. I was thinking more like two guardists.
I ain't know what he was talking about, like the
Holy League. See, they didn't right, they didn't rant position.
They ranked the top what was it?

Speaker 1 (13:30):
The top twenty five to top one hundred, and ask
can you parp the list up right?

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Okay? There it is.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
There was the top one hundred. Number one was Michael Jordan,
Number two was Lebron James. Number three was Kareem i'm
dua Jabbar. Number four was Magic Johnson. Number five with
Shaquille O'Neill. Number seven is Tim Duncan, Number eleven is
Larry Bird. Number nine is Wilt Chamberlain. Number ten is
Stephen Curry. Number eleven was Kobe Bryant.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
M that's tough. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
I gotta I'm gonna have to put him in the
top ten. I don't know who I'm taking now. But
see that's the thing. Oh, Joe, what would you tell?

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Joe? What we do? You bring somebody in, you gotta
take somebody out? Yeah, what is that? You can see that?
It's blurry? Damn what is it?

Speaker 5 (14:26):
And me and Kobe sitting there arguing that news cafe.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Yeah, when you take when you who you taking out?

Speaker 1 (14:33):
You taking out Jordan, You're taking out lebron Kareem, Magic, Russell,
Shaq Duncan, Bird, Will Curry. Because I guarantee you guys
that played against Magic Johnson, say, Matge Johnson's not coming
out of the top five guys that played against Shaq.
Tim Duncan is very underrated, very underrated. Larry Bird. Yeah,

(14:59):
I mean what we do with will will what will
will average? What it will average? You want MVP as
a rookie. I think he averaged like that in twenty seven.
Who gonna get twenty four thousand rebounds?

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Joe Man nobody getting that. Man, the numbers he put up,
were you buys? What just you mights?

Speaker 1 (15:23):
We just take you might as well just start over,
say you know what, we want somebody to really realistically
have a chance of getting the rebounds. And so because
you're not gonna get it. But even if you did that,
ain't nobody gonna catch Kareem? No, No, ain't nobody go care.
Ain't no, it ain't no rebounds. First of all, the
guys shoot too well. Now, they don't miss that many

(15:44):
shots in order for you to get the will got
the record with fifty five rebounds in the game. Nobody
getting fifty five rebounds in the game. I can't remember.
I can't remember. I don't know if anybody.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
I can't.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I think the most rebounds I think somebody's gotten that.
I can remember. It's probably thirty four to thirty five. Yeah,
so just think you steal fifteen rebound short, so you're
not gonna get that. The question is if we put
Kobe in the top ten, who we take it out.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
That's a good question, Couther.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
If you look, if you look at it, if you
look at let's let's be real, only two guys, only
one guy in the top ten. Got one regular season
MVP that Shock, but he got three postseason MVPs. Mike
got five, Jordan got four, Kareem's got six, Magic's got three,

(16:37):
Russell's got five, Duncan's got three.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Duncan's got two MVPs.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I think two With regular seasons, Bird got three, Wilt
has four, Steph Curry has two. Okay Finals MVPs, Jordan
has six, Lebron has four, Kareem has two, Magic has three.
They didn't have that with rough, Shock has three, Duncan

(17:02):
has three, Bird has two. They didn't have that they had.
I think we'll have a chance to get it once
so and Curry has one. Finals MVP. It's tougher than
you think it really is because it can't just be

(17:27):
about scoring. It's got to be about all Star games, finals, finals, MVPs,
regular season MVPs, all NBA's I think all that has
to factor in.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
What.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
So let's just say for the sake of argument, we're
gonna put him in that. We're gonna put him in
the top of level. Are we kicking step out? Are
we kicking Wild out? We're kicking Larry out, We're kicking
Duncan Shock, Russell Magic, who you kick it out?

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Joke?

Speaker 4 (17:55):
I gotta get being in there some way, somehow.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Where you got to take somebody out. It's okay if
you Lebron George Green Magic. No, we're gonna get him here,
but we ain't gonna get it in the That was expense, Chad,
Who y'all want out? Who are we kicking out? Chat
to the chat to kick it out getting ten? I

(18:28):
just think I think it's hard. I think it's hard. Yeah,
and eras errors makes it difficult because people like well,
I can't take Bill Russell out. He got eleven championships.
He got eleven championships in five m vps. Shaq was

(18:51):
as dominant as anybody's ever played the game. And I'm
Duncan two and three fifteen times all in all defensive
selection bird with the last guy to win three consecutive
MVPs well one four, Stephan got two. What's the chat
saying that's the hell of a class to be in. Yeah,

(19:14):
chat is saying take Steph.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Out, Take Steph out to put Kobe in there.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
I don't understand why Kobe Bryant is.

Speaker 6 (19:26):
Getting so much disrespect with all these lists, with him
being raided so long on.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
What's disrespect what's disrespectful? Oh Joe?

Speaker 6 (19:34):
Only the people that actually played against Kobe actually having
much higher than those that didn't play against him.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
But here's the thing, A lot of this happened when
Kobe passed, because I remember them when Kobe was a live,
people saying he was a ball hog and he was selfish.
The very people that said he was a ball hog
is selfish. They praised it, Lottie, They praised and lotted
him in depth when they didn't give him that praise
an adulation. We he's alive, right, Okay? They say Kobe

(20:05):
is top three, So d Wade, who are you taking
out of the top three? You're taking Jordan Lebron or
Kareem out because you said he's top three.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
That's what I need to know.

Speaker 6 (20:14):
He ain't taking Listen, knowing d Wade just based off
he would probably take he would probably take Kareem out.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
The man that was the all time leading score.

Speaker 6 (20:26):
Despite despite exactly what you getting ready to say, Yes.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
With six MVPs, Yes, with five championships, Yes, the all
time leadings score, third lead rebounder.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
He ain't taking him out, Oh Joe, You're taking you're
taking Lebron out now?

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Four regular season MVPs, four finals, MVPs, twenty one time
All Star, twenty one No. Twenty one time All Star,
twenty one time All NBA selection, three finals, three All
Star Game MVPs. You taking Jaring now ten times scoring?

(21:05):
You ain't gotta talk game, Okay. So, so I just
want to know. D Wade said he's top three. I
just want to know who he's taking out of the
top three to put Coke in.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Well, I'm gonna have to ask d Wade that I
don't know. I'm having a hard time. I'm having a
hard time getting him in there top three, you know what.
I'm fine, I'm finna ask.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Him because because the way you do it, Like, Okay,
such and such should have made it, because you y'all
do it usually something Joe, such and such should have
made the All Star Game. Okay, if I take the
All Star Team, if I take if I put him in,
who am I taking out?

Speaker 3 (21:43):
O Joe?

Speaker 1 (21:44):
We do this all the time with the Pro Bowl,
O Joe, say, man, such and such should have made it.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
I said, well, O, Yoe, who you taking out?

Speaker 6 (21:50):
Mm?

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Yeah, I get it.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Just tough.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
So that so forgetting the top ten, d Wade didn't
say he should have been top ten.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
De Wade said he should have been top three.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
So with that being said, that means Jordan, Lebron or
Kareem has to come out. There's no way other round it,
because you can't have I don't think that. Maybe they
did a little later down, but nobody was they had,
you know, okay, but two guys at number four, two
guys at number twelve or thirteen, Michael, Jordan Lebron, James Kareem.

(22:27):
I do a jabbar. He prayed on one of them.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
Again, I'm telling you to be taken out. You know
he ain't taken out Jordan. You know he ain't taken
out Lebron.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Camp he taking out.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
Going to take out Kareem. Despite all the accolades that
you just ran down.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
I guarantee you people don't realize how good Kareem was. Man,
he's gonna win the third MVP had he not missed
his ankle up. Because go back and look at the
numbers when Magic won the finals MVP, go back and
look at Kareem's numbers, bawling thirty three and fourteen. That's

(23:08):
what he was averaging. Yeah, Kareem had some years where
he was thirty two and sixteen. Like I said, just
go back and look at Kareem's career. Look, I understand
a lot of people didn't like Kareem. A lot of
people didn't like that he changed his name because he
wasn't originally Kareem abdu Jabbar. He was a very surly

(23:29):
He didn't get along with a lot of Kareem ain't
take no junk. Go back, you did something to Kareem.
Kareem was punching you in your face. Really, it was
really that simple. He rubbed a lot of reports. That's
why he ain't get no job. That's why he ain't
getting no head coaching job. Think about all the greats
that wanted to coach got an opportunity coach, Bill Russell,
Sam Jones, Jerry West, K C.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Jones, Tom Hinson.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
There are a lot of greats, el Jim Baylor, A
lot of the greats that wanted to Kareem never got
that opportunity.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, he was a bad boy man.
He hey, he probably had the.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Media didn't like the media that the players loved him. Yeah,
the playff loved it. Because you know how I know
the player loved it, Mojo. They voted him six times MVP.
But that's what I ge Wade, the Nightcab Crew, my O, Joe, Joe,
and myself. You said, Kobe is top three. I need

(24:36):
to know who you take it out of that top three.
That's it. Somebody's gotta come out you. You can't have
four guys in the top three.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
He at.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
I'm gonna tell you now, MJ made the game sexy.
He ain't take MJ out of that, okay?

Speaker 2 (24:57):
And then.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
Do you know he taking brun out of that? That
man every every bucket he scores in history books, everything, he.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Got a Joe, he got a cake, and he done
got ice on it. And they all they do is
just keep adding more and more.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
Ice every time he every time he says the flow, yep, hey,
he gonna making it. He making it hard and harder
for the next person who think they're gonna catch him.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yes, and the All Star Games, do you realize the
man got twenty one straight start All Star game starts.
It's not gonna happen, Ladies and gentlemen, Oh Joe w
NBA players warmed up in T shirts ahead of the
All Star Game last night, the T shirts featuring the
words pay us what you owe us. After the All

(25:43):
Star Game, when the feature fee call youer won the
MVP Trophy, the crowd chatted, paid them, pay them, pat them, Ojoe,
what you're thinking?

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Listen?

Speaker 5 (25:54):
Paying paying what they own? Now listen, I keep hearing rumblings.

Speaker 6 (25:59):
I don't know enough about this to get in depth
with it and talk about it like I should. But
I understand they get a very small percentage of the
revenue that they do bring in. Right, stay, stay with
me now, chat y'all, stay with listen. They make a
very small percentage of the revenue that they do bring in.
Pay them what you owe them a little bit more

(26:22):
than what they're already making based on the revenue that
they bring in. I mean, it's not rocket science, it's
not complicated. NFL players, I'm not sure what percentage of
NFL revenue they make that they're going to get. If
I'm not mistaken, I might have saw something that said
NBA players get nine percent of NBA revenue.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
WNBA. That's the WNBA get nine percent of the revenue.

Speaker 5 (26:49):
Let's get that up a little bit more.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
That's all that's all the game, the game for them,
for the women is continuing to grow. A lot of
people make a fusser old though nobody watch their dad
than anybody watching them.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Oh, people watching.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
They're filling up the stands every goddamn game I.

Speaker 6 (27:03):
Go to, I see the lines. Hell, I've been to
the games. So somebody lying Twitter lying to me? Because
every every time I turn on the game or look
at the game, the motherfucker stadium is full.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Everyone pay us what you owe. That's a slippery slope.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Why, because I've been From everything that I've read, the
w NBA has never turned the profit. So if I
never turned the profit, oh Joe, So let me get
this right. I'm losing money, but you want to raise right,
Some ain't adding.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Up if you never turned the profit. WNBA has been
around to how long? How many years?

Speaker 3 (27:50):
Now?

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Ninety six I think the year they started.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
They've never turned the profit. But it still seems to
be running just well and fine and continuing to grow.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
I mean, look, some said that the NBA is supplementing.
Some people say they're not supplementing. But the one thing
that's that's not being refuted is that they're not making
the money where.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
They could like.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
The reason why the salaries for the think about it,
ojo JJ Watt made one hundred and twelve million dollars
in his career, his career right his brother just got
one hundred and twenty three million dollar contract for three years.
Because why the NFL revenue is increasing exponentially.

Speaker 6 (28:35):
Okay, I like that, But listen, if its WNB been
around since ninety six, yes, not good at man.

Speaker 5 (28:41):
So I'm not going to say how many years it
has been.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
At some point in that time, whether it turns a
profit or not, that profit has still increasingly.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
Got better and better and better.

Speaker 6 (28:50):
So if you only make nine percent of the profit
and revenue that you bring in right now, there's nothing
wrong with making a little bit more, just a little
bit more. Don't give it too much much because I think, Look,
I don't think that's.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Not my area expertise. That would be.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
That would be amongst them to figure out. But I'm
just saying this a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
A lot of times, don't yo, when you feel you've
been underpaid for the length of time that you've been underpaid,
you don't feel that's enough. You don't feel they can
pay you enough. Oh, cho I can't pay back pay
you for thirty years.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
I like that right, jadber Hello.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
The w NBA players get nine point three percent of
the league revenue. NBA, NHL, NFL players get fifty percent
of the revenue. The w NBA did lose forty million
dollars in twenty twenty four. The large part was that
was due to they are currently signed to which twenty
twenty six goals from roughly forty five million to two

(29:52):
hundred million annually. This will result in the essence result
in essence the league making money overnight, losing forty million
to a net gain of one p fifteen just the
loan in TV deals. Even if game tickets sold were
to stop growing the merch stopped selling, it will still
be in the green.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
So with that being.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
Said, hold on lost forty million, Yes lost? Yes you
sure you read that right? You said lost?

Speaker 3 (30:22):
They lost forty million last year.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Yes, But but in twenty six they're gonna go from
getting forty five million annually for TV to two hundred
million annually.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Yay, there we go. Now be talking now, be talking business,
but pay us what you owed.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
But still no, I'm gonna pay you moving forward. I'm
not trying to make up a back pay.

Speaker 6 (30:47):
Okay, okay, well, okay, don't pay us what you owe,
pay us moving forward. But it better be looking better
than that ninety nine point eight percent that we are getting.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
Yeah, and it's listen, the game is growing tremendously. More eyes,
more visibility, kids are watching. Listen what Caitlin Clark has
been able to do along with the others that laid
the foundation, that laid the footprint, the agent Wilson's you know,
the Angel Reess like like, I like where it's going
Page Buckers, I mean, come.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
On, man Beckers, Beckers.

Speaker 6 (31:19):
Yeah, my bad, buck I was think about I was
thinking about jam Yeah, so I was thinking about Smuckers
my bad, my bad.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
Yeah yeah, but yeah, I think the thing. I think
the City nine.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
You got at least, I mean, at least you got
to get the twenty percent that let the bare damn minimum.

Speaker 5 (31:37):
Right you said Listen, you said twenty I was I
was gonna say no.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
But what I'm saying, I'm saying that said the bare minimum. Right,
You're right, You're right. I like it.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Shoot look oh yo, look, you and I both know
they're not about to get the fifty percent.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
They're not about to get the fifty percent.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
That's that's that's that's not.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
They're not gonna get fifty So maybe hey, can we
triple it? Can we get to can we get to
twenty seven percent?

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Yeah? Do right? Shoot, they need to lead, they need
to let me.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Let me, let me go on there. I get with you,
I get, I get you with your own I get
I agree with you.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
Oh put me in that goddamn room with Who would
I have to talk to if it comes down to
to to.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
The owners the owners? Oh?

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Ship, Well, I mean, what's what's the lady? That's the commissioner?
What's the lady Kathy Ingelbert inglehart Ingelbert.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
So basically you working with the commissioner and their lawyer
and uh uh the w NBA lawyers and you have
the w n B, A p A and their lawyers.
And they're like, okay.

Speaker 6 (32:50):
Yeah, all right, walking there, walking there with my nice
suit on.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
I you doing they Yeah? I think. Look, so you're increasing,
you you're increasing.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Basically four percent, four and a half percent, right, so
you're going up. I mean you're thinking about you're going
from four and a half, so you four times four
and a half times the money. You're going from forty
five million annually to two hundred million annually and then
looking and bring on a couple of other teams.

Speaker 6 (33:26):
Right, Oh, we need a Miami team. Maybe I could
be the owner of the Miami team.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
They had a Miami team. First of all, y'all barely
support the heat.

Speaker 5 (33:35):
Stop hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, man.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
And they had a good player, Ruth Riley. She used
to do. Uh she was one of the better players
in the w NBA.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
She used to go to this. But we expend studio.
So but uh no, no, not Miami. Too much going
on what you mean? But we you know what, how
y'all how y'all how y'all? Yeah, oh, y'all, y'all did
how y'all doing with the Marlins?

Speaker 3 (34:02):
The Marlins? How y'all doing the heat? You know, y'all
come to the game and have time at the heat?

Speaker 6 (34:05):
Right, yeah, but hold on listen to listen to me.
See it's one thing that's what I love about Miami. Okay,
let's talk about the women. We talk about the w
n B A. One thing about women is women show
up on time. One thing about women women support each other.
You know why we know they don't.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
That's why we're in the situation that we're in, because
if women supported each other, it'd be more.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
That's the problem. Okay, the women ain't supporting the women
in the w n B A right.

Speaker 5 (34:30):
I see, yeah, Ok, you're right, you're right.

Speaker 6 (34:32):
I just think for some reason, if I was a
starter at w NA A franchise, that thing would be
lit by I have. It's not American Airlines renting no more?

Speaker 5 (34:42):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (34:43):
Hell, don't start me to line now you live in Miami.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
I forgot the name of the rental.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
It was FTR. I mean, listen, all of them scammed.
They be scamming the names and they keep changing.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
So I don't know, but yeah, I want to look.
I think it.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Can we get Can we get the salary? Can we
get the top salaries to at least a million dollars?
A year old joke?

Speaker 6 (35:04):
Now we're talking. Can we get before Juju get here?
Can we get it like that?

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Can we get at least can we get that? I mean,
I think the highest you can make it is what
two forty five.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Two fifty now may make it?

Speaker 5 (35:17):
No, I'm making five hundred.

Speaker 6 (35:18):
Man make it five hundred, Hey, eighty young ladies, eighty
mi ladies, boy.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Seventeen million? Oh lord, who makes it all? So now
you can talk about three million. You have some three
million dollars some three million dollar with ladies.

Speaker 6 (35:34):
Yeah, yeah, Age Wilson, she should be making three milly.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
I was hoping that that triple it go to twenty seven,
twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
I don't think they going to forty, ash, I don't
think they're gonna even get to thirty. I think I
think realistically twenty. I think I think twenty twenty five
and maybe go incrementally.

Speaker 5 (36:03):
From there from that point.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (36:07):
Hey, hey man, that's hey, that's a good idea, man,
now that I think about it. What I was sitting
here ponsering and reflecting on, like me, me and you
we can go half on a w N A franchise.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
In my head, they were, hey, do you see the
Valkyries they just got They just got valued at five
hundred million. Who the Valkyrie They just came into existence
last year? Five hundred million. Deliberty four fifty. No, Shannon not,
you ain't gon fit to do nothing.

Speaker 6 (36:37):
Nah, listen, I'm let me let me call I'm gonna
call Jeff tomorrow. I'm gonna set up a call with Jeff.
I'm gonna set up a call with Jeff.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Yeah, because those those franchises are becoming very I mean
you see Eli Eli the backdown. You know he was
supposed to become a silent partner, but you know, one
percent partner with the with the giants, Eli Manning.

Speaker 5 (37:00):
Okay, we said no, bro.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
You see the valuation of these teams.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Yes, so even even if you talk at one percent,
you're talking one hundreds of million.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Yeah, and aho a lot of people just sitting on
a hundred million dollar can go get their hands one
hundred million.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Dollars for Joe.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
I know somebody, Yeah, I know somebody too.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
It just ain't nobody. Ain't nobody I'm really close to.
I know some people too. It just ain't nobody I'm
close to. Yeah, I know some people. I know a
few people.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
And that was a good one. That was a good one.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
I don't think people really, I mean, when you could
just go, ay, go touch it. I mean you can
go touch it, man, look here, nah, but I look,
I would like to see them at least at bare
at the absolute bare minimum. It goes to double, which
would be eighteen and a half to nineteen percent. I

(37:55):
would like it be somewhere that, you know, being realistic.
I like to be realistic. I'll be pie in the
sky and said, yeah, let it be like the NFL
and NBA of Swooper and so on. But that that's
not finna happen off off the top off the rip.
So if we can get that thing somewhere between twenty
and twenty five.

Speaker 5 (38:10):
Percent, I like it. Make it, make it twenty four
and and and.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Go out and support them. Yeah, who support them? People?

Speaker 6 (38:23):
I know y'all listening and whatever, whatever city you're in,
make sure you go out there, you support you support
the young ladies.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
One of these ladies shoot goddamn game, dope zel.

Speaker 6 (38:32):
Every time I think about that goddamn experience at the
Atlanta Dream Game in Atlanta, man cheese us Christ.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Stop playing. Yeah, hey, hey, wait.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Ladies making a million two million dollars a year, I
feel happy.

Speaker 5 (38:46):
You heard me.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Huh.

Speaker 5 (38:48):
Houston got a team.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
They had a team to comments. They won the Force
four NBA titles, so no more. But I think they
are they trying to come get get another team in
Detroit because Detroit had the Shock. Detroit won the championship
when Sheryl Ford, who was Karl Malone's daughter, she was
she was they won the title. Yeah, I don't think

(39:12):
Cleveland's ever who else had a Miami had a team,
Houston had a team, Detroit had a team. I'm trying
to think, does anybody else Sacramento used to have a team,
they had the Monarchs to chapel Cheri, Miami sould Okay, Charlotte.

(39:32):
So Cleveland did have a Oh wow, Okay, I think
Portland's gonna keep the same name, aren't they? Is it
because you said Cleveland Detroit.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
What's the other one in Portland? Philly? Philly?

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Okay, yeah, okay, just Josh Harris, right, yeah, yeah, I'll begion. Yeah,
I think let's Hey, I'm hoping I'm keeping my fing
across twenty twenty five percent.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Yeah, I like it.
