Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
So we're finding that bitcoin mining does a lot more
than just get you bitcoins to be rich. Wait, isn't
actually is helping reduce the amount of money that you
pay in your home?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Isn't bitcoin like not ai? But it's not an actual coin.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Right, But bitcoin mining is helping you pay less in
your home, but.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
You're not mining for anything. Well, that's interesting. You'll see
and I'll tell you what's going on there. Now that
you're hooked on the story, we'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
First, you also had questions about the last pennies and
how pennies we're going to make you millions of dollars.
And I've been saying it this entire time. If you
have pennies, save your pennies, because they're no longer being produced.
So some of the last pennies that were minted are
now going up for auction on de sever eleventh. You're
going to be able to bid on these penny sets.
There's two hundred and thirty two to three penny sets,

(00:49):
and one for each penny has been in circulation. Oh interesting,
I should have read this whole thing before I told
you one. But Yeah, one of the pennies twenty four
carrot gold, and so it's really interesting. Each set is
expected to bring in around forty five thousand to fifty
thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
What are you gonna do with the penny?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Well, coin collections have been a big thing.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
I mean, that'd be cool, but that's just gonna sit
on your desk, especially for all going out in the
next few hours.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
No, you know, you know, you might like one day
be like, man, I need a million dollars. I'm gonna
take these coins down to the pawn shop and I'll
make a million dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
You're gonna make a million dollars penny.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I mean people have done that, they take you could.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yeah, people have taken coins in like a bag of
coins into a shop and found out that they had
like a fifty thousand dollars quarter or something.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Actually put like crazy things, like we determine the value
of things, right, we are putting a ton of value
on pennies, right, It's a nuts to me.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
There's some very rare ones that are worth a lot.
My grandparents passed away and like they gave me their
penny collection or coin collection. Yeah, I take that straight
to the pawn shop. It was like forty bucks. I
was like, this is ridiculous, that's.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
What the pawn owner gave you, But it was actually
probably ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Really check it out, you know, I was like, this
is it.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
It sounds to be worth something for not immediately, but
I mean that's a good point. Though. We do put
the value on everything and upon people just put the
value on that. But it's the same thing with bitcoin.
We're putting the value on this not real thing that
you can touch. But bitcoin mining is helping heat your home.

(02:23):
Apparently the computers that are used for bitcoin mining create
so much heat. The normal computers that people haven't had
to turn their heat on. Feel like us, you're paying for.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Electricity though, right, yeah, it's like I waste a lot
of electricity, so maybe that's a lot of electricity to
bitcoin mine.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Oh my bad. It costs a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
What are we mining? I'm confused when we say bitcoin mining,
you're not going there with the hammer and it's chainsaw
or something.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Just get computers that basically search for whatever. You know,
I don't know all this.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
There's a whole class that she needs to take for
this and You basically have these high powered computers that
do computing really fast, okay, and so hopefully your computer
can come up with some kind of computation that will
create a new bitcoin, or find a new bitcoin.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Or something like that before someone else does. And then
if you find it and it's the next big one,
then you make a bunch of money.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Interesting, but then the bitcoin pays for the electricity, so
again you are saving this One company has been saving
one thousand dollars a month on heating by using a bitcoin.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Minor.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
How much are they're good?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Then?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
How much are they paying on electricity? They put that
one in your story?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Did they sure didn't. Yeah, I'm sure didn't. But if
you're a minor, here you go.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
That's what's treating
