Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
So there's a college announcer who's gotten the attention of
the internet, and he's getting a lot of hate right
now for what he had the nerve to say to
the opposing school's dance team. You're going to hear what
he said in just a second. But first, Oh my gosh,
do you know that it's coming out on Friday, Monster
the Egg Games story on Netflix? Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
I did see that. Yeah. Oh Charliehuntum sorry True True Crime.
Who's that? Charlie Unum is the actor.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
He's the guy that was Jack's in Sense of Anarchy
and a lot of other things.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
So it's cool because he's a super dream boat and
he's taking on a really terrifying role. Gotcha, gotcha? And
then also just because it's spooky season now and it's
your crime and Netflix. Okay, nobody else in this orm's excited,
but I.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Know you sitting there listening to me, are like, yeah,
a girl, it's time who the campaign.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Also, something creepy that's happening on Friday is Diddy is
getting sentenced.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
So we've been kind of quiet. He's not been sentenced.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
No, he hasn't been sentenced yet and so there hasn't
been a lot of updates to what's been going on
with him.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
But the sentencing is set for.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Friday, so prosecutors are asking that he gets eleven years
behind bars. Meanwhile his team is asking for fourteen months,
which would essentially be time served, so then he would
get released. And so there's a lot of back and
forth there.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
But have they confirmed what the charges are?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yes, he is getting charged on two counts of transportation
to engage in prostitution, and prosecutors are, uh, yeah, that's
what it is.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
So the two counts of that, that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Okay, But there are a lot of people that want
him to be made an example of to show that
people in power and celebrities and all of that can
still be held accountable.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
For andyvarable crimes.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, so we'll see what happens, but it could be
up to eleven years. Some are even well, I guess
the US Probation Department is recommended five. The prosecution is like, nah, man,
let's take him down. Oh yai, No, I mean he
did pretty bad things. So well, sentencing is Friday, so
we'll see what actually him quick ends up.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Happening. I know, spooky season a full effect.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
This college announcer, he's got so many people angry.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
So picture this.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
You're in Alabama and Alabama State is about to take
on Florida A and M on the whatever stadium.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Just picture that.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Kay, the dance team comes out and this announcer says
this and.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Congratulate they're now the new face. Prob what what? Why
would you say that?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
It's worse because the team that came out is super
popular plus sized dance team called the Honeybee. Oh wow,
so he is body shaming these women that just hook
to the field.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Oh why idea? I was gonna say, that's just terrible.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Like in the moment, everybody paying attention in the stadium
heard how bad that.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Was there Now the new face.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Pa, why would you even think that's okay to say
out loud like that is not the place for it.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
You are not a stand up comedian.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah, you don't get away with fully offensive phone.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Everybody right away was like, whoa give us picture? Like
that was no nobody nothing, nobody? Wow? Yeah? So wait,
so what happened is now? Like is he getting well?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
He is definitely under fire from everyone from the schools
to the people to feel like would be like there
was no update about whether or not he kept his job,
But my guess is going to be no.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, I'm imagining he's probably canceled for a little bit.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Yeah, not even canceled like even like as a college
sports like announcer, you that should not be me. You're
allowed to say. It's like an I'm like a teacher
saying if I don't know, like you're talking about exactly,
college are sho kids?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Like, dude, what why he's canceled?

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:51):
In this case, is being canceled as like a serious
time out. You go sit there and you think about
what you did, and you come back with a real
apology for those honey bees. What if there was actually
an Olympic sponsors like he was legit just trying to
read the sponsorship.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I just unfortunate that that's who they sponsored for the event.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
That would jokes on us, But dang, that is what's trending.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
