Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending. Nina is out sick today,
so producer Brad has You're trending.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
And to be fair, I was completely unprepared for this
and I am going to wing it. But space Ex's
Falcon nine rocket turned into a fireball over Europe after
an engine failure caused an uncontrolled re entry. Uncontrolled re
entry debris rain down in Poland and possibly Ukraine, damaging property.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Thankfully, entries bruh.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
But I mean space X is famous for being able
to catch their rockets and drop them back and be
all safe about it, but.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Not this one. They've had a few of those happened
lately with their launches too. You know, they've had like
a couple launches that have not worked.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
I don't turn how it comes back into orbit without
them knowing, or like how it comes back.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Into well it turned into a fireball.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
In space or wild was coming back? Was it supposed
to come back over Europe? That's what I'm saying, Like,
I don't know how it comes.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Back into the atmosphere no matter what, even if you're
coming back from space. Yeah, that's why they have a
part that burns up so that you can send the
other stuff through because it instantly will come bus.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Like there was an engine failure. No, it wasn't supposed
to happen. There was an engine failure, so all their
mask goes long key.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
When there's an engine failure.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
And then it caught fire and then debris rained down
upon Poland.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
So what was it called a non consensual reentry? Yes, well,
so it must have gone up and then the rocket
like just flamed out or something right when it got
out of the atmosphere and it didn't have enough to
get all the way out to where like the gravity
would or zero gravity would take it. So then it
probably just plopped back down through the atmosphere and then boom.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
That's exactly like that. We've all had a rocket that
flames out. I don't I don't want to. Oh yeah
mine is also. Yeah, it feels for it. I thought
what you were talking about, but I wasn't bullied.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
The NFL just raised its twenty twenty five salary cap
to a record breaking two hundred and fifty six point
eight million dollars per team.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
So that's how much you can only give each team?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, so each team has a salary cap.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
By the way, that's not their full budget, that's just
for sale that they can pay up to two hundred
and fifty six point eight million dollars per team.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
So they could literally give one player all that money
if they wanted to know. But that's the most money
they can pay their players.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, I guess it's because media and streaming revenues have
been booming, so they have more cash. Now it's up
like twenty it's almost thirty million dollars that they're adding
to the budget.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Interesting, and how.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Would you feel as the player who got like the
least amount, but knowing that that's what the cap was,
and so there's like a teammates.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Well, I don't know what the NFL's like league minimum
is anymore, but it used to be like two hundred grand. Oh,
I think it's higher than that because the NBA usually
has the highest league minimum, which is like a couple
million dollars. WHOA, So you could never even play. That's
why if I were an athlete, I would want to
be the person that sits on the bench on any

(02:53):
NBA team because you're making millions and you don't ever
have to play.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
You can because a practice squad.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
That's amazing. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I actually have a friend I went to Hi who
ended up on the practice squad for the Ravens. He
made four hund thousand dollars a year and worked.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Like two days a week. Yes, that's not bad either.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
The minimum salary for twenty twenty five season for rookies
will be eight hundred and forty thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Whoa wow minimum. So that's cool too. I would take
that job too.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, like I'm awful, just beat me up.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
I'll be I'm literally a paid dummy. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I'll just go get tackled a few times a week
at practice and then you're good.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Just getting that chill you don't have.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
You don't have to all the pressure of having to
perform on Sunday. You can sit there, you can cheer
on the dudes. You can hold a clipboard if you want.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
It's like when I was on track when I was
in high school, I was like I was a manager,
which just means clipboard holder and time taker.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, that's a great way to make eight hundred grand.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
What if you're an assistant coach for an NFL team
and you're like, you make like I don't know, a
measly three hundred.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Now, I wouldn't want that because you still have you'd
be an assistant coach if you're having to do coaching stuff. Yeah,
if you were just a player who didn't play, like
you literally have to sit there and then be like yeah,
and then high five. You get to high five the starters.
Oh my goodness, dude, you could high five like the
good players.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Hey, you get a touch on them.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Not only that, you're missing out on the biggest opportunity.
If you're the benchwarmer for a really good team and
they go to the Super Bowl and win, you get
the ring.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Every player gets the ring, whether they played in the
game or not.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
You know what I would do? Why am I blanket on?
The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs name right now?
Patrick Mahomes, Yes, Patrick Mahomes. I would want to be
on the Chiefs because you know how athletes like they
pat each other on the butt when they do a
good play, right, yeah, they I would be on the team,
but I wouldn't play, but I would be by him
after he made a big play and then he would
probably high five me and then pat me on.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
The butt and instant lawsuit.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I'm seeing him for sexual harassment, and he's got the
most money in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I've got a good business mind trending
