that quit his job, uses four oh one K to
buy a boat and sail to Hawaii.

Speaker 3 (00:12):

Speaker 1 (00:14):

or so, and he's twenty nine years old. He's from Oregon,
and the reason why is he was diagnosed with something
called clipple feel syndrome, which could call cause paralysis. So
he's like, you know what, I'm gonna quit my job.
I'm gonna tap him buy four one K. I'm gonna
take my cat and we're going to sail to Hawaii.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Wait, he already had a pretty good four oh one
K set up at twenty nine. Yeah, I guess so
him as Cat Phoenix. They're just balling.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
That's impressive.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
The boat was fifty thousand dollars, so he a small boat. Hey,
but you don't need a big boat out of Hawaii.
Fifty thousand dollars is a lot? Is that not a
lot for a sailboat?

Speaker 1 (00:49):
No boats.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I don't buy boats a sale boat.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
A sailboats are a little cheaper I think though, than
the boat, so yeah, it might not be too bad.
But yeah, are expensive, man.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
They are expensive.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
But this that's how much he paid for his and
he did all the up keep himself and got it
all ready to go. So I'm telling you this story
because there's kind of a happy ending. So his plan
was to sail from Oregon all the way to Oahu
in Hawaii, and he did, and when he got there,
there was a whole group of people, cheering fans, including
Hawaii's governor, just cheering for him and his cat Phoenix.

(01:23):
They're just ready to welcome him and all all that
cool stuff, just to be like, you did it, bro,
good job. And now he plans to sail to French
Polynesian next, but he's got to repair his boat first.
He's gonna pay do some stuff to his boat and
then go.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I mean, at this point he could start to go
fund me and he'd get a yacht with the yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, yeah, he's definitely gone quite viral, so it's kind
of it's kind of cool.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Though, you know, he may say French Polynesia with a
captain and a bunch of girls on it.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
There's no cat to be seen anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
All the girls holding the cat like, oh, we're here
for Phoenix.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Don't you see how great life can be if you
make a purchase like a boat or a plane or
something like that.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
I tried.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
I spent on a plane with you.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
To convince you will to go have he's on a
plane with me. It hasn't worked yet. I just wanted
to see the fruits of our labor. Could be the
governor of Hawaii could meet us.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, cooled to stop and fix up our plane before
we fly somewhere.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
That's terrifying, But Brad, you could probably wear him down
just keeping Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
To be honest, I've been working on this for like
a decade.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Speaking of vehicles, the Slaw Dog won the Wieni five
hundred this week, and yes, the inaugural Weenie five hundred
happened at Minneapolis Motor Speedway and that was six Wiener
mobiles for the Oscar Meyer Fleet get it against each other,
which is pretty funny. The slaw Dog is the one
that passed the Shy Dog to take over the.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
It's really funny.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Just report on it and they got a trophy and
then a whole into hot dogs and buns.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Pretty cute.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
That's sweet. I know I want to go to that
next year.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Cheer on the slot off.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
And the prize these employees got for driving this truck
was more Oscar Meyer.

Speaker 3 (03:17):

that was full of Oscar Meyer.

Speaker 1 (03:21):

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Oh, I thought it was people making these guys wieners
on Wieners on Wieners. That's what they do there. So
the Nation's Spelling Bee is coming up too, And do
you guys know what the most misspelled word is in
the United States? At a monopia? No, actually, that's not
even on the list. Definitely nailed it. It's so infuriated

(03:44):

by separate and necessary superrit.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I thought that was a little easier than necessary.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
