Episode Highlights:

  • Airbnb is expanding to include celebrity experiences, like football and BBQ with Patrick Mahomes.

  • New Airbnb services also include massages, personal training, and local experiences.

  • A TikTok health trend called the "human dog food" diet is going viral — and it’s not as gross as it sounds.

Airbnb’s Big Move: Rent a Day with Celebs Like Patrick Mahomes
Airbnb is redefining what it means to “book a stay.” CEO Brian Chesky announced that the platform is launching new service-based experiences, including hands-on activities with major celebrities. Among the first offerings? A day playing football and chowing down on barbecue with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. You’ll also be able to spend the day with Sabrina Carpenter or Megan Thee Stallion. This move is part of Airbnb’s push to get people off their screens and into the real world through curated, memorable experiences. Quote from Chesky: “AI is magical, but you know what’s more magical than AI? The real world, and people and relationships and memories.”

The Viral “Human Dog Food” Diet Trend on TikTok
TikTok has found its next bizarre but oddly logical health craze: the “human dog food” diet. No, it’s not actual dog food. The trend involves chopping up healthy ingredients like chicken, tofu, rice, and veggies into a fine mix that looks more like kibble than cuisine. People are eating it for every meal as a simple, nutritious prep hack. While it might not win any beauty contests, fans of the trend say it’s efficient, easy to prep, and surprisingly satisfying.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Give us three minutes and we'll give you everything you
need to know for the day with Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
So Airbnb is going to start adding new services and
experiences to its service list, I guess, which includes renting
people like Patrick Mahomes and Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Whoa wait what you can airbn be a person now?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Now you can airbnb a person for an experience, also massages,
personal training, other things that are tailored to specific locations,
like pastry making classes in Paris. Oh, that's fun, or
art galleries in New York. Yeah, but it's like not
what Airbnb is like. Sometimes expanding the brand isn't necessary.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I like the idea of finding like pasta making classes
and stuff like that, especially.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Like like if you go somewhere well even like staate
an airbnbn, you find stuff around it.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah, that'd be cool, even if you're like in your
own like city, Like I think it's cool to have because.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
I want to go do that here.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
You still can do that here. There's a lot of
other things that offer it. I don't remember what it's
called right now.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I have a problem with this. I'm like Airbnb stand
your lane if people.

Speaker 5 (00:56):
Do because you think Airbnb is a short term rental company.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Yeah, not.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
They're a technology company that connects people who have things
to give each other.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Oh well, what does Airbnb stand for?

Speaker 5 (01:06):
It doesn't matter how it started, It doesn't even matter
what the name is. What the hell is Amazon even mean?
But that's a logistics company.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Oh plus us.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
It's not a prime because it's not a company that
delivers stuff the next day. It's not a video company.
It's a logistics company. It delivers what it does with
its technology. And so I think Airbn this is a
natural step for Airbnb. And really they're coming after the
Ubers and stuff like that of the world.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yeah, no, that they are, except for the adding the
celebrity part to it. Like you'll be able to play
football and eat barbecue with Patrick Mahomes. There's different things
that you can do with Sabrina Carpenter that will like
be like it doesn't say it's just experiences, but you would.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Rent for a day.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
That's very weird.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
You would ask you one specific question.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Wow, well, Meg the Stallions on that list too, so she.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Would ask the same question.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
But there's no word on pricing. I must pay them
a lot of money. Yeah, wow, Yeah, I don't know.
They just want people to experience life more than just
spend time in AI and on your phone.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Well, I also think everymb's prices are really expensive, so
they're trying to like find new ways for money.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Oh yeah, I'm sure to hang out with Patrick Mahomes
for a few hours or whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
It's probably like fifty grand or probably a lot.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I guess there's a bunch of celebrities that are already
ready and agreeing to doing this, Like would you do that?
Would you be rented for a day?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Jubil as much as their benb's probably paying me? Yeah?
How would I do it on a free app? No?
Like when I go on Craigslist and be like Renny
for a day? Probably? Are you sure? Maybe that could
be interesting, It could wind up with a good story.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
May be a good story. I don't know how much
people are willing to pay with jewbil.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
I don't know. We can tell you all about it.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
But there's a new health hack now thanks to TikTok,
and it's eating human dog food.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Ew. It's the weirdest thing. It's a health hack.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Basically, what it is is they people are starting to
take vegetables, rice, chicken and chop it up really fine
and mix it together and put it in.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
A bowl to basically put like a meat ball.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah, because you can you feed that, you can feed
that to your dog. You can feed that to your dogs.
So it looks like dog food. They're not actually eating
dog food, no, but they're calling it human dog food
because it looks like dog food.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
But if you eat this bulls corn beef hash, yeah,
it's just not dog food human. So I love corn
beef hashes good. The only kind of really like is
out of a can, though.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I like that. If you're gonna be if you're going
to start a new trend eating human dog food, I
mean eating dog food. Is a human eat the dog food? Yeah,
you know, well.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
That would just be weird because it wouldn't be human
dog food, that would just be dog food.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah. So but they're eating human food.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I know.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
It's frustrating.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
It's in the name. Yeah, the whole thing is acting.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
It's it's like a three year old who mashes everything together. Yeah,
this is not right, not a hack.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
That's like the definition of like, I'm so crazy, look
at what I made for dinner. It's like food, except
like I chopped it up fine, finer than normal.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
It's supposed to be.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Looks like dog food.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Then you drink your water that way, dude, it's.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Kind of I guess.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Yeah, no, then you have to clean your floor.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
They're supposed to help you lose weight. I don't know.
That makes no sense.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Well, it kind of does, just because it's already chopped
up so fine that your body processes it faster.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
But that's probably a lie. But I don't think so,
because your stomach.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Actually, your stomach works worse when it doesn't have to,
when it doesn't have to do the thing it's supposed
to do.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
And does it make you lose weight because you're eating
the same exact amount of food I don't.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Know, same calories.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Your stomach and if you take the calorie thing, like like,
your stomach's not working very hard, so it's literally getting.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Lazy as well. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
We've debuggd it. Also, if you're going to eat dog food,
choose a wet variety. I've tried both, and I can
tell you the wet variety is a little bit better.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Don't eat dog food.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Your experience with the day with jew Bowl that's what's
surrending
