Speaker 1 (00:25):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to a thanks Giving edition
of No Fouls Given, presented by Prize Picks. I'm your
co host big Wa was joined as always by Danny
Green Paul Pierce.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
We got a fun show on deck for you guys.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
We're gonna go a little bit unconventional for the holiday
this episode. But first we want to get into some
fan questions.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Let's go to Nick Santo number nine.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Who asked, what was your biggest inspiration that motivated you
to make it to where you both have made it today.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Well, I fell in love with the NBA because my
idol was Magic Johnson. Growing up growing up here in Inglewood,
idolized Magic and wanted to play basketball and do the
things he did and make it to the NBA. So
I'm a as a as a Laker fan as a
kid to becoming a Boston Celtics fan. This he was
(01:24):
my inspiration.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
I'm gonna go with my pops first because he you know,
I was a kid you always want to be like dad.
But he introduced me to the game and he was
a fan of certain players. Come to fund. He liked
the really good teams and really good players. So growing
up it was Mike and watching Mike definitely inspire me.
And then you know, my pops pushed me. He motivated me.
And then along the way I had different people you
(01:48):
know that that gave me certain life of motivational inspiration
and you know, but it started with him. My high
school coach was really good. He was really good. Tim clues,
big inspiration. Then from there on it was like different
people that I played with, I played against, but I
was a fan of the game since I was a kid,
and started with Mike, and then it was different people
(02:08):
you know over the years.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Question though, like because you say Mike was your inspiration
and was League Pass available?
Speaker 4 (02:17):
No, we had the Box TV.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Did watch Mike a lot?
Speaker 4 (02:20):
No, we watched I watched the playoffs. I watched a
lot of playoffs. I mean I was in east of
New York, so Chicago's there. Yeah, I watched a lot
of We had the bulls like championship tapes, the v
vhs had all those. I had all that I have
from Chuck you watch the Space, Charles Barkley, Dave Robbs,
like all those guys that had the tapes, the highlight
tapes of you and Tim Hardaway and TMC. I used
(02:41):
to watch all those guys highlights VHS and then during
the season we watched a lot of regular season games,
watch some Chicago was they were television was easy.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
The reason it was easy for me because we got
the local games. You know, it wasn't a lot of
every single day. Every other night we watched the Lakers,
like you know, the national games come on, so it's
hard to like really see the other teams a lot
like it is today. You can see whoever everything.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
But Chicago is nationally at Chicago was.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
On TB S y g N. Is it why it
wasn't what is CBS w.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
G N, Yeah, w G Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Was on Chicago because that was a national Actually, you
can watch the Yeahs to Chicago.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Yes, I remember that, So watched a lot of them.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Bro, that's dope.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Uh sink or shwim as.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
How many games does okayc need to win for their
coach to win Coach.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Of the Year. I think that's a tough one. I
don't think it has anything to do with their wins.
I think I had to do with what other teams
have turned around. Because if you're looking at Detroit Coach of.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
The years, usually we thought you were trash.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
And you yeah, your exceeding expectation.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yeah, so like Toronto Detroit, Yeah, one of those.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
That's gonna they never like because I don't think Popovich
has ever won Coach of the Year before.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
I don't know's he's a sleeper team.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
I don't think Papo is won. I don't expose every
one Coach of the year. A lot of the best
coaches don't.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Think they might. I think they have one. I think
they have one, but I don't think they have multiple
like I think they have one.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Because once your team has expectations like oh yeah, you
didn't do anything.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Well, who's the coach in Phoenix right now? I'm shocked
at Phoenix.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
They're playing well. They beats Night with the kid they
picked from Cleveland. They picked him up. That's crazy, but
they just he's a Michigan guy.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, he's a Michigan State guy.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
They took him. He's one of assistance from the Calves
and shot well.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Phoenix has jumped out.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
They've been playing well, especially with even with James is
not even playing right now. It's not even they're playing well.
They're figuring out some things. They're sleeping. They're like sneaking
some people. But yeah, they're playing well, so he could
be you never know, it could be like a team
like that Jordan Ott.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah that's the son's coach name. He's doing a good job.
But yeah, I think it's just okay. See is like
the heavy betting favorite, the heavy favorite to win the championship.
Even if they come out and win like sixty eight games,
I don't think people are gonna be like, let's give.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I got a winning seventy plus.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Maybe if they won seventy plus, they'd actually have to get.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Yeah for them. Yeah, if they won seventy plus games,
I see they get round. Were they able them last year?
Like sixty eight sixty nine?
Speaker 3 (05:21):
They'll win seventy this year.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
They'll probably get seventy this year unless something drafted year.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
And plus, Like they start the year without their second
best player and they're still killing people. I think that
that's that has to say something about their preparation. Man, Yeah,
I am Brandon Brown says, what is the wildest thing
you guys seen in the locker room?
Speaker 4 (05:45):
I'm just gonna say, Shack.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
When did you play with Shack?
Speaker 4 (05:49):
I was in Cleveland my rookie year.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Oh wow, wash Shack.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yeah, he's Shack. He's done some wild shit. I'm not
gonna there's a multitude of things I've seen. It has
been wild with Shock in the locker room.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Ship I've heard.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
I've heard Shack is crazy, like he like likes to
show people his dick and ship like that.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
I mean, he walks around freely, might try to wrestle
the motherfuckers like yo, put some clothes on around.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Why do you know this?
Speaker 2 (06:24):
In a lot of room rookie.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I was the rook I was the only rook too.
I had to get the donuts and everything. I was
team assistant. You know, you don't know how it is
because you're a rookie that play. When you're rookie that's
not playing. You got to do everything.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Did you have the weird backpack too? You know?
Speaker 4 (06:39):
I had to greet them a certain way, so you
know Shock what he pledged, So I was pledging during
that time. I had to greet them a certain big
brother sha. I had a little step in all types
of ship, and I had to take with me there.
So like we had a team. We had a team
fullow some delinquents, but not a bunch of them, right, clowns.
(07:01):
You know, Jamario Moon was there, Delante Western there, we
had more Williams. We had said Shaq was there. We
had some some J. J. Hickson. We had a couple
of guys that that yeah, yeah, silly, silly as boys.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
This was two thousand and nine, ten yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Wow, oh that was a year. I think we put
them out.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
That was right, the decision and then the decision. It
was the second round. It was the second round, second round, right,
second round, first round, second round. Umber it might have
been second round th second second round, second round, the
second round.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Second round, yea, that's when all times for the second round. Then,
I don't know, I.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
Know the decision happened. Might have been first round, it
might have been first round, but I know.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
There you guys, I think, oh wait.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
It was first round. It was first round, first round, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Went sevend Wait that was second round. I know that.
And I didn't know bout ten wascond round the first round,
first round, Okay.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
We traded for Antoine Jamison and that.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Was the number they were they was, Yeah, they won
like sixty something games nine.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah, there's no way we was the second round around
both times. Yeah, because I think we're.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Magic in two thousand and I think we're a four
or five seat.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
Remember who we played in the first round.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, y'all were the first seed, uh.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Chicago.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
And then y'all played us in the second round. Yeah, okay, okay,
yeah second round.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, always a good game. We live past.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Might have won if they played your boy. You know
what I'm saying. I ain't get no tech, but nah,
I wasn't ready yet.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Paul, do you have any crazy locker room stories.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Boxing matches and ship they have?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Just just the fighting, just the general beach, the basic.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Ship standard.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
Again, I saw experienced another It was between coaches and gms.
I won't name, I won't name players or people involved,
but you know me as a rookie, your rookie is
always like in Cleveland, is the NBA with the is
going on here?
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Problem with with with Danny Danny Ferry.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
He might have been one of the players involved, but
it was all you hear behind closed door. You hear
thumping and all types of ship.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Fights in the locker room. But like the standard arguing, yeah, standard.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Like it was a norm.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Have y'all ever talked about why Rondo and Ray Allen
had beef.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
What was their issue with one another?
Speaker 1 (09:41):
I don't know. You don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
You just knew the hated each other.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Oh, you know what I think, No, you know what
it was. This is what I think it was. I
think it was because Ray felt like Rondo wasn't giving
him the ball enough. He was favoring other people, favoring
it to like me. I don't know, that's what I think. Younger,
(10:06):
I don't know, because I've heard other things, because I
know that Rondo is one of the most unselfish. I
don't know, so I think that's what it could be.
But I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
But it just it did go on for a while,
and it was like verbal stuff.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
It could have been something else, maybe behind closed doors
that I don't know about, you know. But I never
dove into anybody like personal stuff. You know. I kept
everything like basketball unless I dealt with the players, my
teammates individually or as a group, you know. But then
I would never just get into nobody personal unless they
(10:43):
shared it. And I'm not asking like who you what
and all that, you know what I'm saying. I was
a family dude, you know. Once I got kids, I'm
going home and I'm not into the like gossip stuff,
you know, I'm just not into it. If there was something,
but I'm just saying it was all basketball between them two.
So and then I think this no, to be honest.
(11:06):
I think because Rondo was so good young, and when
you're Ray Allen and you're one of the greats in
the game and you have to pass the torch and
you're not ready to it's like kind of fighting the
torch where it was like I gave Rondal the torch.
I'm like, this dude is too good, you know. So
I'm like, all right, I'm gonna trust you at a
(11:26):
young age, and maybe I might not get the same
looks because you got to hand some of the reins
over to a younger star, and I think it was
harder on Ray to do that than the rest of us.
Speaker 4 (11:36):

It's good to be right, Jack Tilley said, who in
the league right now is the best all around role player.
I actually happen to have an answer to me right now.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
It's Aaron Gordon.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Ooh, because he just all of like he's plays both
sides the court, and his biggest weakness was always a
shooting and he's just improved the last two years and immensely. Man,
he's just.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
All start this year. Honestly, if you hel dope, he should.
He's like, if they've the glue of like and he
put his numbers, they should get hopefully maybe three guys
in All Star this year if they stayed number two. Yeah,
but yeah, all around role player, best all around role player. Ooh,
(13:33):
you have to go see in the East, right we
go to NIXT.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
We've got.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Is great, great, great rolejo he gets paid borderline like
he's a star, but like he's just so good filling
the gap.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
Derek White.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Derek White is Yeah, he's one of my personal.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Phases too, looking at like, yes he is. Yes, he
is a number three option, the third option.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I mean they talking about Max and this guy next summer.
How could he be a role player?
Speaker 4 (14:06):
His roles like he does what Luca does in second
Like he's just a second unit.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
So what do we consider a role player fourth or
better option.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
That's not like a main priority option on Yes, you
don't drive offense.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Yeah to me, that makes you a role player.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Okay, yeah, well he's not a role player.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Look, it's one of the stars. I'm trying to think, like,
is there somebody in Miami.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Who Miami Davion mit is playing solid great basketball?
Speaker 4 (14:37):
I mean again Toronto, Like who you're looking at?
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Who's the role player on the Detroit give.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Me my boy from Atlanta? Dyson Daniels.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, he got to make a shot at some point.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
He's though, he got a role player, Yeah, defender and
he can be cracking like.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
In Toronto, anybody Detroit, I mean Thompson at Houston.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
I mean it's like their role guys is just like
Duncan Robinson. Can we even call Jalen During the role
player at this point anymore?
Speaker 2 (15:10):
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
I think he's what about the other in Atlanta? He's no,
he's a star now, he's a star now.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah, a lot of guys that are, you know.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
I mean, okay, see just has a team full of
just outstanding role players around the shade.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
I don't think so, but all around, maybe he is
all he's not paid like one, but I think he's
more role player on that group.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Wiggins, all of those guys is just incredible in terms Westbrook, Lebron,
James Brook, God, here we go. Yeah, Westbrook is doing
a good job of playing a role this part in
his career, all right. In Our last question comes from
Turtlelicious eighteen fifty truth, have you ever been to Bakersfield, California?
Speaker 3 (16:01):
They have never stopped in bakers driven past it, driven
by it a lot. They had stopped.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Yeah, team was there, but I don't think that there anymore.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Team was in bakers Field.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Chris Childs is from Baker's farm Land.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
It's farm town. It's the way to like Fresno to
Oakland up north. It's farming. And I never stopped in
bakers Field. I smell the cows and keep pushing for real, No,
for real.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
If you've ever driven from l A to Fresno to
Fresno or the Bay area, like, don't take the p h. Yeah,
you drive through like so much farmland.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
I'm terrible geography, bront.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
And at one point it smells. It's just this is no.
You can't do anything about it.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
It's crazy, all right, let's get into foul and no
foul the thanks getting addition, we're gonna try to speed
through these ones. Christmas music on Thanksgiving, foul and no foul,
m M foul, foul after Thanksgiving, after Thanksgiving?
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Okay, so to go the next one. So you can't
decorate before Thanksgiving for Christmas?
Speaker 2 (17:17):
No no, why no?
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Why are you getting a tree before Christmas lives in
your house? No no, no, let's do want service better
as long as possible.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
I'm paying for Christmas life.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
So you're getting somebody to install your people?
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Do who is going out there?
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Most people? Most people do not, Danny twenty twenty five Danny,
most people do not and twenty different Reality normal people, Bro. No,
people do not pay somebody to decorate their house.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
They climbing on that ladder and I don't. I don't
pay nobody.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Do you do it yourself?
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Bro, you're Verity in California's hell.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
No, bro, people don't have the money to do that.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
You do your lights, You do your lights?
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Yeah, yeah, you don't live in reality and your community, Daddy,
everybody pays.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
That's not true, that's not true.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
It is true.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
When I was young, Yes, we did them growing up.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
But right now they all pay people where you live,
but you don't live in the majority. No, do you
live in the hood. They all putting up their own lights.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Lives in the beautiful South.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
There's more to it than South Bay.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
I'm saying there's less hoods than there's normal like above
or like, No, there's.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Not so you said there's less drivers and rivers.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
Right, No, let's just say you were just a middle
class guy.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
In l A.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
There's definitely less, like Bro, there's more of an abundance
of people that have money here than I not.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
No, there's not l A.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
You can't live here if you don't have money.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
You like, there's people who bought a house for one
hundred and fifty thousand that their houses were.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Not fili yees bro, Bro in LA, you're not gonna
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
My whole life saying then, now a best driver or
a truck driver who has a crib, this is you
think he's hiring guys?
Speaker 4 (19:15):
No decorator, know what I'm saying. There's an abundance of
people out there that live out here well off in LA.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Yes, in your neighborhood and all of l A neighbor
there's Orange County and everybody's a millionaire.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
I didn't say that you have money to live here.
The house is now Like to get a house in
Los Angeles area, you got to probably spend a million dollars. Bro.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah, but those people have been living in these houses
for twenty years and some of.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
The hoods I give you that.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
When's the last time you did your lights?
Speaker 3 (19:44):
Bro?
Speaker 4 (19:44):
I didn't do lights for a long time, though, but
I didn't. I also didn't pay a service. I woudn't
pay a company to do them, Okay, I just never Okay,
but I'm going to pay a company to do You're like,
he's just gotta be up there as long as I
giving may be up as long as they can.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
They come and take him down to Yeah, is it
your lights or they are you?
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Do you kind of like rented? How does this work?
Speaker 4 (20:04):
I think they store the storage they saw.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Okay, service learned something new every day.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
So yeah, I mean I'm okay with christ lights before
Thanksgiving Christmas lights because like, what do you you have
lights up for just a month. You gotta put them
up for just three weeks and take them down for
three weeks.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
No, I keep my lights like almost like.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
After years take them off. Christmas is only like June's.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
It might be rolling. I keep minds on the list
until the time.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
I think there's like once they say once, and I
guess I think I think February. It's like, yeah, you
gotta you gotta take them by febru.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Yeah, yeah, I think January.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Though generally people start.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
I'm okay with people started like a week before, like
but Halloween is crazy. You do like a week before Thanksgiving.
I'm cool with that because people roll right into christ
like Christmas music all that time has happened right around Thanksgivings.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Like Mariah carry know.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I'm cool. I'm cool with the music. I don't care
about the music and Thanksgiving because Christian music get old fast.
But the lights and decorating, I'm cool with having some
decorations because all you do is Halloween goes Halloween. You
don't really decorate for Thanksgiving. You don't put turkeys like now.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
People do turkeys people that people do.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
Some people do and ship like pumpkins for Halloween.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
You know they'll like have the fake like corn on
the cob.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Again very rare. You see pilgrimage happening on.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Giving Thanksgiving decorations.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Pilgrimage decorations. So it goes Halloween and then Christmas.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Follow no foul Thanksgiving dinner with no mac and cheese.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
I would have to say, foul Jesus Christ, Come on.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
What are we doing? What were doing?
Speaker 4 (21:42):
You can't you can'tnot have maca cheese on any holidays
like phrase like this.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Honestly, that's not a fault. That's disqualified, especially in the black,
in the black community, then you gotta figure out how
who's actually making them. That's not sign for everybody.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
That's important.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
Dish you got that is the most that's more important
than the turkey.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Oh yeah, absolutely, so I'm glad we're in agreement on that.
Yams with marshmallows.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Get the marshmallows out of here, please.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
I think I think it's I'm gonna say it's a foul,
but I'm I'm saying somebody does it.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
I'm not. You're gonna try it.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
No, I'm not trying. I'm just not eating the mark.
I'm not. I'm saying it's not as long at least
you have the yams. It's some fuckers. I don't have
the yams at all.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Yeah, in the black community. You can't have mark. Yeah,
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
That's a big foul. Raisins in the stuff. Absolutely, it's
just craziness.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
I've never even heard of raisins in the stuff, and.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
People put raisins in all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
You're supposed to go for you supposedly, right, yeah, nutritional.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Cranberry and the stuff. And where did the ras come from?
Speaker 2 (23:05):
You?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
That's sho, that's you. You probably put raisins and you
know what I mean, he put he put raisins in
this uh, in this potato salad.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
O store bought desserts.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
I think, no foul.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
It's not a foul because obviously if you're capable of
come on, man, cook the desert. But like iron knocking,
if you at least you get the.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Pie deserts got some be straight and or you could
go to like a real bakery or something like that.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Is showing up two hours late.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
With no dish, absolutely, yeah, what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (23:51):
That's a foul.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
At least bring some.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Don't react because if they bring liquor and other.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Things that I was considered ignoted a dish.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
But like if you show up two hours and you
got the bottle of this or that or something you
know to contribute to it. Yeah, I'm cool with that.
Two hours later wild to me though, Yeah, because we're
gonna be done eating and you can bringing the drink
over or something again.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
You so do you wait for? Do you wait for
everybody show up? You eat?
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Now? We have the time? Yea, the time, that's why
the time if you're not I used to prayers starts
at this time.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
One time I waited on a family and it took
them like they were like three four hours. I was like, yo,
I'm never waiting the.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Prayer, prayers up at this time.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
I don't miss the prayer or oh you're done.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
Yeah I used I used to wait, I'll give you.
I'll feel like it's our grace period.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
I wait, Uh, taking food home even if you didn't
bring anything foul.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
And if the offer depends, if you we have a
lot of food in the crip I'm hosting eat in
the week. Yeah, I'm going to offer.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
You at a certain point.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
It's so much food, take some stuff home.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Like you're not like eight days later with food left
you four days cool after the four or five days
of eating it, like you gotta chill okay, so last
foul and no foul bringing a surprise plus one that's
a foul.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Well this is my thing, daddy, Like you can't react,
so let me explain. Communicate though, say this, like your
brother or your son or daughter brings the boyfriend. Communicate, well,
it's that that I'm fine with that though we gotta
know and like like no, because like say, like, I'm
(25:32):
older than y'all, so like if my daughter bring her
boyfriend if she has, I'm not like reacting, but you
act like I don't like like like if you just
bring in like the homie bringing some work, No, I
don't do that.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
Don't do that's more of a surprise. If your daughtersfriend,
she's probably telling you, hey, Dad, I'm bringing you see
it all the time.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
You see it all bringing your mistress to Thanksgiving.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Surprise guest to me is somebody that you don't have
no idea about, Like you know, your daughters dating somebody
you prepare. I'm preparing for certain people, like but.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Just out of nowhere somebody.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
It depends on where we're having the dinner too.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
I'm never overreacting, but I'm looking at you like you're
out of pocket. You're bringing somebody.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
I can't let you destroy my Thanksgiving either.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm not saying listen, we don't we don't
have we have enough face people, we have a little leftover.
What I'm saying, we don't have no food.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
We're not gonna make a big issue unless it's like
just like come on now, hey, I can't hold it in.
I'm be like, hey, who is this. No we're good, good, No, no,
we can't. We're not doing that. We're not doing that.
Before the prayer, get that, get that bad energy out.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Of here, get that situated in fact. So those those
were our things, giving foul and no foul. Now we're
gonna get to our favorite part of every single show.
That's the Picks of the Night presented by Prize Picks.
And we're gonna do football because everybody knows Thanksgiving.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Turkey Big football Day.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
Charo Golf more or less than two hundred and forty
yards passing.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
I'm gonna go last. I think they have a great
run game. That's what they do. Yeah, they got to run.
They got two great running backs. I'm not like Golf,
he's great, he can get it. But I think they're
gonna lean on the run. I'm gonna go last.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Yeah, I will go less.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
I'll go less.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
I'm going less as well. Got a really good pass rush.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Yeah, Michael Parsons is having a hell of a season.
Yeah I would. I would go less as well. Jordan
Love more or less than two hundred and twenty eight
and a half past yards, Like.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
He's up, he's been up and down. Twenty eight is
feasible for him. And you just never You just don't know,
is what you're saying. They have a decent running game.
It's like decent.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
I'm gonna go more.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Wait, who's the running who's the running back? Jacobs? Right,
he's out right, Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He's out.
That's what I'm saying. He's out right now. Yeah, he's
out today.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
He's questionable for Thursday, though.
Speaker 3 (28:17):
I'm gonna go more than since he's questionable. Josh Jacobs,
he's actually one of the he's great.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Give me, give me more for him.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
I'm gonna go Yeah, we.
Speaker 4 (28:27):

his defense. Don't tell me that he don't today.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Is the offense isn't what it was when he.
Speaker 3 (29:29):

Speaker 1 (29:37):

a more or less than half a rush or receiving touchdown.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Oh, and I'm gonna go more. He's gonna get one.
He's getting in getting, he's getting in the end zone.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
I'm going more.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
I'll go more as well.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
He's tough to guard.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Man. You will Wilson. This will be our last pick
for the Night Man. You will Wilson more or less
than one and a half rush.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
Or yeads, so rush over receiving for both.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
They giving him props.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Yeah, they think he's gonna comes.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Yeah, I'm going less as well.
Speaker 3 (30:16):

Speaker 1 (30:19):
That was our Picks to the Night presented by Prize Picks.
We're gonna do something, try something A little new Producer
Christian ran a simulation of you guys' NBA lineup.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
Yeah, a draft, A little draft, that.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
Draft that we did a few episodes ago, and Paul's
lineup actually beat Danny's lineup in the first game by
twelve points, and then in the seven game series simulation.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
They won in six. So the offense heavy lineup Joker a.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Shotless, he got first pick my Paul's team. Ultimately, let's
he avers twenty seven thirteen of eleven.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
My guy Joker sixty shooting. Yeah, it sounds about.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Joker Curry combination is far too great.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
My team is mid range heavy.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Elite talent, but fewer free throws, fewer threes, fewer easy buckets.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
More fully offensive engine yet right, I gotcha?
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Chat shept trying to go crazy crazy. So we decided
we're gonna do an all time draft and and I
don't know how we're going.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
To figure out how. Chat GBT says, who's playing cool?
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Okay, tournament style and yeah, so all of us are
going to draft our all time lineups.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
All right, Paul, you're gonna start us off your.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
First all time all time I'm gonna I'm gonna go

Speaker 2 (33:15):
I want to go Kobe here.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yeah, you had to go Kobe here. I don't know
where do you go from here?
Speaker 4 (33:22):
Yeah, that's kind of crazy.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Damn.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
I'm gonna go Timmy. Okay, I'm gonna go Timmy, and
I need some shooting.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Danny goes again.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
Yeah, I need so far.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
He has no shooting.
Speaker 4 (33:39):

Speaker 3 (34:11):
I'm gonna go, uh Kevin Durant.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
That's how damn again yea for the last pick.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
I'm gonna go Kevin Garnet. Pretty good, jeez, we got
everything tough.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
Yeah, that's a tough team. That's tough.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
I want to do defensively, offensively, we got shooting, we
got defense, we got killer mentality, we got clutch. We go.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Ahead.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Give me James Harden bro.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Jesus, you guys just gave up James Rogers. Y'all not thinking, no,
not really, you're not really thinking. It's not coming to you.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
No, it's not like if I have to go down
to players. I got a point I got You're gonna
help you with this last. Let's go Trason Grady.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Oh my gosh, nobody picked Larry Bird because I have
my perimeter kind of squared away.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Lebron's my power forward.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Kawhi is my three, Kobe's my two hardens, my point
guarding bro Kobe, Kawhi, Lebron.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Come on, we strapping this now?
Speaker 4 (35:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Oh you can do this now, single elimination tournament. I'm
not sure I can lose.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Nah, that team is crazy.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Really good thing.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Damn you can't simulate this right now.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
This is Danny versus Wol's best of seven. Game one, y'all,
y'all heard the squads. Uh I beat Danny one O
eight to one sixteen. Kobe cooks t Mac for thirty eight,
Kawhi slows down t max creation. Shaq gets thirty three,
but Kareem drops twenty nine and twelve efficiently.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Game two, whoa hold up?
Speaker 1 (36:19):
The only Game two, Lebron has a triple double card
in hits five three, Shaq gets doubled. Clay can't get
loose versus Kawhi. Game three, Danny beats me. Oh no,
hold on, don't go fastest. Shaq has forty one and eighteen.
Magic controls the pace. T Mac gets clutched mid range
jump over Kobe Duncan erases hardened at the rim. Game four,
(36:44):
Danny also wins in a defensive ward. Shaq bully's Kareem
into foul trouble. Magic posts up hard and relentless.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Mone.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
That's what I need to too.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Oh my god, this ship went to seven games. Game five,
my team breaks the series tie one O five one eighteen.
Lebron has takes over the game thirty four eleven to nine.
Kawhi klamps t Mac late. Kareem wins the Shack battle
for the first time since Game two.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
I lead three two.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Game six sees Danny's team win ninety nine one oh three.
Tim Duncan's masterpiece twenty seven seventeen six blocks Shack dunks
through Kareem late.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
To seal its game seven.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Game seven, I beat Danny by ten points okay, ninety
eight to one oh eight. Kobe closes the show thirty
two points twelve. In the fourth quarter, Lebron orchestrates everything
twenty eight, ten and eight Kareem hits a skyhookover Shack
to break it open, win the series forty three.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Wow, so they just threw me in the finals.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
They're gonna play after after you played wise, and you
gonna see.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
My matchup Nurse Colar legendary.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
This is the second match they're making.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
First per four fection, corn Verse peak, all around, KG
switching physicality.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Game one, smoked.
Speaker 4 (38:08):
Me just picked apart every.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Help rotation.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Thirty six, yeah, seventy threes. Game two, he seems unfair
bro one O nine one sixteen. Paul's team KD gets
hot for forty one points. MJ puts Kobe and foul
trouble early. Kareem is great thirty one and twelve, but
not enough.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Paul leads to zero.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Game three, Oh come back, Lebron dominates Paul.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
We win one.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Eleven one oh four. Kobe has a late ice versus
Jordan win.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Oh my god, overtime victory in Game four.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
How does Kobe hit a dagger over k.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
He'll put it up over anybody. Paul wins the game five,
goes up three two. Game six I tie up the series,
and Game seven Paul wins one eighteen one O six
The champion is is Paul Pierce over wise for three finals.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
MVP is Joker runner up Jordan's.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
Damn yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
Best balanced unstoppable offense is Paul's team. My team had
elite versatility plus closers. Danny's team dominant inside but weakest
perimeter defense.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
If you want, I can also get.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
That's crazy, like no premier defense. Team and Clay were
pretty good defenders.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Clay was his defensive numbers that like the Advanced Ship
always hated Klay Thompson for whatever, but you watch the
game and he's strapping people.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
You know, that was fun.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Since we're staying on the holiday thing, we're doing our
mount rushmore of holidays. Thanksgiving is that's like different as
a kids. Number one, But Thanksgiving like seeing people that
you haven't seen for a while, eating all of your
favorite food and telling stories.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
And jokes, and it's just to me.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
That's to me, that's my favorite holiday. Christmas is up
there too, because I don't I don't really give a
ship about gifts for myself, but like the younger people
in my family is cool to like see them happy
about that.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
I'm a fourth of July High. I love fireworks.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
I love Glizzies.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
I love the time.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Your quote.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
July is up there. And what would my last holiday.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Be, man, I would say probably Labor Day because again,
more barbecues, getting together, and it's always like the sort
of unofficial end of summer, especially back in New York
and LA not so much. It's basically nice all year,
but like back home in New York, we'd all go
to the freaking parade for the West Indian Day Parade,
(41:33):
like partying the entire freaking weekend. So Labor Day always
has a lot of memories for me. That's my Mount
Rushmore's New Year's Eve to me is overrated. Everybody always
thinks they're about to have the night of their life
on New Year's Eve and then it just when it's
just regular people get mad.
Speaker 4 (41:53):
I think it depends on where you're at for it.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
But I hate it's all going out. I hate the
prefix ticket and this and spots. That was fine to
get in his pack to the brim. You can't even
I'm not a New Year's Eve guy.
Speaker 4 (42:08):
I'm with you. I'm gonna go Thanksgiving number one, July
fourth number two for me, I do Christmas three definitely
more exciting when you were younger. As you get older
and you come Santa, it's a little different, you know,
(42:28):
when you are Santa and you gotta get all the
gifts every fucking body. It would be number one as
a kid, but as an adult number three, number four.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
What other holidays do we have?
Speaker 2 (42:41):
We have Memorial Day.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
I feel like, like, yeah, you're right, either like Valentine's
their Father's Day or Mother's Day.
Speaker 3 (42:50):
Fada is not a holiday, though you don't get off
of Valentine. It's gonna be when you fair.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
The king.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
Wartin Luther King is definitely a day we get presidents.
Speaker 4 (43:11):
I'll go to New Year's number four.
Speaker 3 (43:12):
New Years, all right, So for me, my mom Rushmore
is Christmas one because I know I'm gonna see my
kids for sure, and I just like the smile I
put on their face being Santa Claus. Number two. I
guess I gotta go Thanksgiving. It's just Thanksgiving stuff coming
(43:35):
out on Thanksgiving here, some time with the family stuff like.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
You, I've seen physical altercations.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
It's just a fun time.
Speaker 1 (43:48):
I love.
Speaker 3 (43:50):
Yeah stories on that Thanksgiving. So I mean, I'll say
it because it's a day of gathering, and how often
do you really gather with a lot of close people,
so I gotta go Thanksgiving. So the third one for me,
now it's a new one. I like Juneteenth. Yeah, June
Teeth is fun, you know. I celebrated that this year,
have friends come over and everything. It was pretty dope,
(44:12):
my first time really getting into it. And so for
the fourth one, now holiday where it's like nothing to do,
just chill man, that's a good one right there. Just
it's like, how many holidays is there American holidays?
Speaker 1 (44:28):
Like I said, Memorial Day, Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
Guess I gotta say Memorial Day because like back in
the day when I was younger, me and my boys
would take boys trips and we would go like to Miami.
Speaker 4 (44:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
Yeah, it was cracking, you know, younger day. So I
say Memorial.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
Mount Rushmore Thanksgiving foods.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
Oh yeah, come on, now, let me start this one. Yeah,
you gotta go with that gumbo. Bro, Gumbo on Thanksgiving
is popping. I don't know if y'all do it, but I.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
Know I've never had more.
Speaker 3 (45:03):
If you was born in the seventies or before, it's
gumbo got you. So I'm gonna go there to start
mine off.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
We can go, we keep going, Okay, Yeah, I mean

Speaker 1 (46:09):
Turkey is nobody's favorite.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
It's fine. I gotta go with sweep potato pie.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
M pies or like standard for peach cobbler like that.
Speaker 3 (46:21):
You gotta throw the sweep potato pie in there. Man,
I gotta have one of those.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (46:27):
I gotta go eggnogging, like you know, it's not a food,
but like I don't drink egg like I don't ever
think of egg at all until the holidays. Craving a
craving during that time. It's like yo, it kind of
puts the meal over there.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
Yeah, I guess something would be my four turkey is
like bro like it's fine. I don't have a problem
with it, but it's fine. Like at no no other
day of the year, you like yo, because somebody made
turkey today like that never.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
Had I think for I'm going greens Greens for show Greens.
I gotta throw that in.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
All right, let's get some no fouls given predictions going.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
Again. It's Thanksgiving football games.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
A little different from what we normally do. But the
Packers will be at the Lions. The Packers won the
first game twenty seven to thirteen. Week one. They were
so dominant on defense. Detroit, Detroit, always Detroit.
Speaker 3 (47:29):
I'm I think I gotta go Packers on this one.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
Beat them twice.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
Yeah. I just think that the Troy has been looking
just as like skating along kind of like. And I
think the Packers are younger and when they're healthy, they're tough.
Speaker 1 (47:45):
Yeah, give me give me the Lions at home divisional game.
They want to get some get back. I'll take the
Lions at home.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
Chiefs at the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
Chiefs, Yeah, Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
Cowboys got a good way. It's a fine, but to
big wins, I don't see them win three.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
Chiefs need this if they want to be serious about
like playing.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
I mean, Cowboys got a big win this past week
over Billy Yeah. Always after being down and great come back.
The Chiefs got a big win versus the Calls. But
they struggling.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
Man.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
I like the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
Okay, Bengals at the Ravens. Lamar Jackson's back. I think
the Ravens have won like four straight and Joe Burrow
may be back. Yeah, give me the Ravens.
Speaker 3 (48:28):
Joe Burrow is back with Chase being back because Chase
got suspended. Because I'm going with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Okay, all right, let's get out of this show.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
We wanted to get some veteran advice man out there
for young guys in the league. Just life advice to
the public, just a motivation of good words for the people.
It's a Thanksgiving holiday. I want to be motivationally.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
Thankful for the opportunities and everything.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
Man, my motivation is just so the people be thankful
for what you have. You know what I'm saying. People
often look at the things that they don't have and
just stress over it. Just be thankful for everything you have.
As long as you have life, friendships, and health on
your side. If you have those things, that's enough to
(49:21):
be thankful for. Regardless if you're rich poor, you know,
have food to eat every day. Just be thankful, you know,
for the things you have.
Speaker 4 (49:32):
I second that, but I'm gonna go into a different
lane on advice for some young guys because there's a
lot of them in the league today. Don't skip the details,
you know what I'm saying. Don't skip steps, and don't
be afraid to ask questions. Listen to your vets whoever's
in the locker room for you, especially off the court.
(49:54):
We don't want to see any of you guys getting
in trouble. Don't give it, no money back suspensions, We
don't want to see injuries. Take care of your bodies, man,
but don't skip steps. Be a professional, get greedy with success,
and continue to grind it out because you only play
but so long, so do it for the next you know,
ten eight to ten years, for how long you can
(50:15):
do it, and then hopefully you can get another career
after that. You're doing what we're doing. If not, you
made enough to take care of your family. But you know,
don't skip the steps and the details are important, all.
Speaker 1 (50:27):
Right, man. That was excellent, excellent motivation and advice man.
Speaker 4 (50:30):
From the from God Summer in your space of the media.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
I mean my advice is just be reliable, bro, like,
like be somebody who can be counted on.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
Show up. Like that's to me, like that's everything.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
Like if people call you and they know, like consistently,
like you're gonna do what you say right, to me,
that's everything.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
For your life.
Speaker 1 (50:54):
So that's what I would say to anybody, a player,
just anybody listen to our show. To me, that's the
most important thing. All right, guys, that was our show.
