Speaker 1 (00:25):
Welcome back, y'all.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
The No Fouls given presented by Prize Picks on Big
Wise as always, joined by Paul Pierce Danny Green.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
What's going on, y'all.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Let's let's talk, let's top.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
We got a good show. We got a good show
to get into today.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Jumping to the topic we were talking about right before
we got.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yes, I wanted. I wanted to get into this because.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
It was reported that Bron is ramping up and that
he would start he was cleared for full contact practice,
and that he was sent down to the side off
Bay Lakers, which is their G League affiliate. So yesterday
some guy in England was at one of the whacker

(01:10):
like tier like soccer leagues and he was just showing you,
like the stands with four hundred people.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I was like, that's dope. They got all of these
teams all around London and I'm like, damn, Like, I
guess the.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Equivalent of that is like minor leagues here, you know,
like whether it be baseball and basketball. I was like,
let me look into how much like when is the
next South Bay Laker game? I wanted to go just
to go to a G League game, you know, spend
twenty dollars on a ticket. Some cracking jacks like whatever, bro,

(01:42):
I go on stub Hub, whatever the hell it was.
Friday's game is sold out. The game after that tickets
is going. The cheapest ticket is seventy five dollars. I
looked up the next Pacer game in Indiana. You get
tickets for twenty five. So this NBA games that are

(02:03):
a third cost of what it would cause to go
to the league affiliate.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Treating it like Lebron is actually on the team.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Okay, so after you did that research, you assume that
Lebron James Senior was actually gonna.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Why do you think he's not gonna play?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Because it's the G League. It's Lebron James Senior, like
the most arguably the greatest player.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Ever lad, So he's trying to get himself into it.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Yeah, they don't. They don't practice.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
No more league teams practicetice got you, That's why he's
an I've been assigned to a G League team. I
did spend time. I've also come back injury been a sign. Okay,
so you can practice with the teacher and get some
repsent because the other guys ain't.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Why do you think the tickets sold out.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
People probably just like the Hennessy announcement, they might assume
like he was retiring, so they assumed that he might
be playing with the team. Lebron j See Brownie, Lebron
James Jr.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
He's a G League player. He might be in it.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
So it might be price might be going up because
of him, you know, Dalton connect.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I don't know if they're doing the father's son in.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
The league history.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Even I look at the would you for a second
think that Lebron James was suit up on the South
Bay Lakers.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
I can't picture it. I mean, because this is my thing,
this would be my mindset. I'm coming back from injury.
I don't want to get injured down there again, like
the chance of re injury playing in the G League.
I'd rather get injured in the n b A.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, so you know what I mean. But you practice
with you get some reps up.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
But you can get that with the with the with
the bench.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Doing Celtics have a G League affiliate, I don't think.

Speaker 6 (03:53):
They do, so you can't get you You can get
ten guys to practice with Lebron.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Right now where the Lakers. But Gabe Vincent being out.
They have they have Austin Reeves being out.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Okay, they got guys out.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Brouh and the guys that are playing that Luca ain't.
You only got fifteen on roster, Luca, all starters ain't playing.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
The Celtics do have a GEN League affiliate.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Yes, that's right, That's why I forgot it.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
So the start five for sure ain't playing in practice.
Even your key reserves ain't playing in practice. So that's
like a good seven guys and then you have two
guys out you can get you're not getting ten even
though he's not playing like they're still doing. It's not
and I might even be scrimmage. It's just like drills,
you know what I'm saying, Like, you know, stay hit.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
What do you do when you're doing your rehab with
the G League A philies.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Obviously it's different for each group, but when I went
down there, it was more like some of it up
and down, some scrimmage with most of the time it's
like things that you're doing preseason that you're no longer
doing anymore. Like they'll do stations, they'll do script, but
they're doing it a little faster paced. When the season
starts the regular TI team ain't doing. It's more so
film recovery, a little bit sweat up and down. But

(05:04):
you're not getting those type of reps of like you know.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
We're gonna do for so long.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
You need to you need to get them up and
down the defensive, you know, slide three two vertical verticality
to our charge drills, you know what I'm saying, or
just regular fundamental drills that the guys said. The regular
the varsity team ain't doing that. The JV team you
get some reps in to do that.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
But I just want to know why you don't think
Lebron would play.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I just don't understand that.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
I just be highly there's not a lot of things
that have shocked me in this world. You would be
see Lebron James and G League.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
You ain't see nobody in his caliber come down to
the league play either, Like we ain't see Anthony Davis
do that.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
I've never seen any All Star go down and play
in a G League game that was still a part
of it, that was still a part of the NBA Association,
like the association now if it's all sorry, that was
older and trying to get back in and playing them
on the league team. That's different. Currently all started still
in the Associated But if he takes.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
The G league bus with them to the next city,
you don't I think they're playing the Rick wise city.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
He don't do that with the two. Do you think
he's doing that with the league team?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Wait? Bro, didn't take the team bus?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
He sometimes, but again, you see them on the road.
How many times you've seen him on the road with them?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Well, he hasn't been going on the road with the
Lakers since rehabbing the injury, but he's back to feeling
like himself again.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Bro. It's a very it's a very non mandatory thing
for him to where he wants to, like certain superstars,
and it was always the case. It was usually most
guys would want to go on the road, travel with
the team, or they made it in today's NBA. Bro,
if you want to travel cool the city you want
to go to, you can rehab there, but you want
to stay home, stay at home, Bro, Guys taking their
own playing bus, trade car.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah, he still got his daughter home.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Makes sense that man, Yes, but he's doing what he
wants to do rightfully. So he ain't taking every sourci
of translation with the Lakers, let alone the G League team.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
So I guess Danny Green is chalking the sold out
tickets to By the way, they're.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Playing in the u c l A like Health.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Sens, So they're playing some rivals.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
They're playing Ripped City, So I guess Portland's G League affiliate.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
And I looked it up. I've never heard of this
place that they're playing in.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
No, I called one of the games last year, So
I think I played Portland last year when I called
one where it was at the facility, the practicility right
on the road, Yes, right there, So yeah, it was cool.
Brownie was supposed to play, so they had decent shows
his first year he didn't play.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
People do you think we're in that?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
It was a good amount of show like crowd showing up,
Like how what do.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
You think the estimated like amount of people?

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I mean it's the practice facility, so like they only
use one court and they have stands on one so
it's just like a two hundred people, Yeah, two hundred
maybe three hundred.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Those tickets could go quick. Now just imagine an intimate
setting like that. You get to watch arguably one of
the greatest player that ever played like, Bron might want
to give that gift.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
To the thing.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Are you selling tickets?

Speaker 5 (08:17):
He must a chance to see Beyonce in a five
thousand theater.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
See, that's that's what would be.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
It's probably an elite and invitational thing.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't public.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Bron might be that tapped in with the Lakers was
gonna cut from He's that tapped in with the SIUs.
He might want to just do this surprise pop up
pigs fly?

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Are you going hold on the question? I won't be going.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Okay, tickets is sold out, plus is a Friday.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
You're smarter.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
And you're smarter.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
You're smarter than that. I think.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
I just thought it curious that they were sold out
in that all the rest of the tickets were marked
up insanely high.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Let's move on to the Atlanta Hawks man who seemed
to be on a little roll since Trey Young went down.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
My old boss to Podfather might call this.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
The ewing theory, where you lose your quote unquote best
player and then all of a sudden you just start
playing way better.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Yeah, but usually doesn't happen for that long. Usually might
get one to get one a game of tea, well,
like one of those things your coach gets thrown out,
you might win the game.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Or Nick ninety nine went to the finals without pat ewing.
You feel me so like that was what the theory
is based on.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
That was what's the name here too? Right?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Spree well can be blackout.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Year, Yes, so shocks out year lost to the Spurs.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Maybe there might be some ewing theory going on with
Trey Young being gone from the team. Because Jalen Johnson
against the Jazz triple double thirty one points, eighteen rebounds fourteen.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
That says wild cos joker numbers, right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
A joker numbers. A Congo dropped thirty two with eleven boards.
Seems like they're playing free. Obviously, they're playing way better
on defense.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
That's the thing.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
When Tray sits, it's like their defense no longer has
an obvious attack point, but.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
It got us wondering, Like Trey Young has been on
the trade block.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
For he's getting the rumor of conversation of do you
keep him? Yes, because you know a lot of coaches
have been fired and.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Lou with how they're playing, is it time to pull
the trigger?

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Man?

Speaker 5 (12:00):
I like that time that the talent it seems like
it's getting unlocked. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, that
getting to develop fulfill their potential. Trey Young, I mean,
he's an All Stars, one of the leaguest great players.
But sometimes it's subtraction.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Addition by by subtraction, you know what I'm.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Saying, old trade right now because I feel like those
guys are he's older. Man, it's crazy, like.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Twenty seven, he just turned turned twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Okay, yeah, but he's been in the league for some times.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
He's been in the league for at least eight years.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah, he's crazy to say he's older because most of
the guys that have it so they have a.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Three all those kids, you know, yeah, the early twenties.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah, Dyson Daniels, super young guys, Jaylen Johnson, a Congo
might still be like twenty five, so you know, and
again Trey, he's been like, I don't know if you
see I forgot who got paid.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Over the summer, and Trey Young put a tweet out
like pay the man. See y'all supposed to be paying
people that do good work for the team and all that.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
He's been angling for a deal for like a minute now,
and they clearly is just like, bro, we don't think
we need to anchor our franchise to you.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
So do they bring it? Let him come back and
ruin what they seem to be building towards her.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
It looks like we got a fresh start from both
sides because somebody will appreciate Trey and will pay him.
And if Atlanta don't want to get an extension to somebody,
and he might need to be elsewhere because it looks
like Atlanta's like moving in a different direction. It's damn
shame because you know, him and Pat Pev had the
smoke and it's given Pat all that fuel right now

(13:48):
to talk shit because they're balling right now without him.
But I'm interested to see, like what spots you think
Trey will fit and that will like he would be
valued like that need a point guard.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
So it's tough because I think originally the two teams
that were dying for point guards were the Spurs, who
already filled that need with Deanon Fox and the Magic
Yeah Orlando, who they didn't feel a point guard need.
But they made a huge deal to bring Baine over,

(14:21):
you know, gave up three first.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Round gave up a lot of all of that five
total picks, right yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
So and the two teams that were like desperate for
point guard help have done different moves.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
And Bain is like signed for the next three years,
and then.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
They immediately paid up danon Fox, so like they're committed
to what's happening there.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Orlando still doesn't really have a true point guards what
you're saying.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Though, they don't. You need to make the money.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Work be too much. They have to give up one
of the big to.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Give league like what's the true point guard?

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, it's different in today's league, right. I think I
think is probably a better fit than because defensively, he
gives you more right.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
To me a real point guard to point guard somebody
like Okay, see, he doesn't feel comfortable just pressuring you up.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Ninety four feet and treating you like you're nobody, you.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Know, I mean the definitely that again, they don't. I
don't think they exist, Like how Rondo, you know what
I'm saying, Steve Nash, like assists first point guards, there's
not many of those anymore. Like Josh Giddy, you know
what I'm saying. Some guys that hop the rock get
you in sets. They don't run sets like that. Like
we talked about the game of It. We watched you
against Mike. There was pinned down set like sets, running

(15:33):
and going.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
I think they need to figure out how it looks
when Trade comes back.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Let's see how that looks again. And then he starts
messing up.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
If if I see a stunt in the development of
these other guys, because they already shown me that they
can't win a championship if trains your best player, you
know what I'm saying. So you need one of these
guys to turn into a superstar or like a Jayalen Johnson.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Jalen Johnsons, he could be a superstar.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
You know, if he can turn into a superstar and
be like, all right, we need to decrease some Tray's
role to where he fits in with them. He needs
to fitish like that's gonna work like.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
A real something he's ever done in his whole career.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
Yeah, it's been shown to be a winning it has
shown to be a winning formul ten years.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Maybe he's never done that, he's never played a subordinate.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Some guys just some guys can't. We've seen it happen,
So I mean, let's let's fish around on who you think. Also,
there's other teams that need a real point guard, like Dallas.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Dallas definitely, but it seems like the firing of Nico
Harris and I think they're going in a brand new direction.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
I'm rebuilding.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
People were saying when fredv Vlee got hurt, but the
season that Houston.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
The money, it says, the money is too big, that Houston.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
So you can rebuild with bringing in trade, though, can
you not? Because he's still twenty seven? Like if you
were a Dallas or a Sacramento and you're like, I'm talking.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Rid of everybody incremental, It's like, what is disgustingly shaped roster.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
But you get rid of after the roster gets prayed
and bringing some young pieces, it makes a.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Little bit more sense. You're not just playing like five
two guards. Yeah, at the same time. But I wanted
to ask you guys though, something like to get sort
of get into the mindset of a tree young Like
he's at the home. He's at home watching the team
take off without him.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Is he rooting for them to do worse at first?

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Like inside right, Like he's gotta be rooting against them
doing well while he's gone.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
I hate to think that. I don't think.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
I don't think of players hating against his team, but
I do feel like he's feeling the pressure of like, oh,
I have to fit in with that, what's going on
this formula?

Speaker 4 (17:51):
And how do I do that.

Speaker 5 (17:52):
I can't come back and do the same things I've
been doing because obviously it didn't translated words, and we
got up to a horrible start. They were one and
three with him starting out the season. So now, if
I'm a player and I'm smart, I'm like, how do
I fit in with this to make him look good?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
How do I not fuck it up? Basically, what do
you guys.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Think running right down there playing I can't go in
and this pressure for me to keep that going?

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah, Okay, I hope he feels the pressure.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
I would love to see him like he's a high
IQ player, man like in terms of his the way
he sees the floor, like he's one of the best
passes in the NBA. Like, full stop, he's one of
the five four best passes in the NBA. He's just
had horrible shot selection his whole career.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
I just I don't know. I hope he comes back
and is able to do that.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
But before we get out of here, we kind of
floated this in the pre show.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
How would you feel about a Ja Morant Trey Young Swap?

Speaker 5 (18:47):
I love it for Ja Moran, Yeah, I love him
with if he.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Was fucking up with the Blicky's in Memphis. I mean
at l every day, man.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
I sometimes it's not about the city.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
It's just the same scenery. You know.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
We know Atlanta got a good night life, nightlife for
young African American and I'm sure that like he would
understand that I would be a target here and he'll
put hisself in like a position to where he needs
to see.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Yeah, you don't mess it up.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
I don't think it could go one of two ways.
I'd like to think he's a little older, a little
more mature, and that when you have more access to
the resources you don't feel.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
The need to go to it all exactly.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
I think because he's lacking that in Memphis, he's not
getting anytime he gets out to another city. It's like,
we don't got this in Memphis. If I gotta, I
gotta spread my wings. But if I'm in Atlanta, it's like,
all right, cool, Like I got I can go. I
don't need to go out on the road as much.
I don't even go out home as much. Like I
got access to more opportunities here to kick it with
my people.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
When I got to show some discretion at the Blue Flame.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Yeah, let me say, grow up differently, you know what
I'm saying. He's learning, but I think he's It'll be
a good for both parties, like refreshing, start restart, and
I think Trey would because they probably need that more
aggressiveness in Memphis. Yeah, Trey with Jarons Jackson Junior and
then Cedric Howard like those guys, I think it'd be

(20:16):
a solid fit.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
I think the only problem is if Memphis moves on
from Jods, I could see them just shight have just
dedicated themselves to a full rebuild and that being just
what they do instead of bringing in a veteran again
who's looking for a brand new extension, a very lucrative one.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
So we'll see what tickets and you'll, I think you'll
win more games you're winning right now.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Maybe that's fair because they look god off of right
really bad.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Moving on, man, Paul, you were in. You were with
your old team at the end too. It Dome to
watch the Clippers versus the Nuggets. Nicola Jokic put on
a performance for the Ages.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
Man, talk to about what it was like, man, just
to see it lie Like, you watch it and you're like, oh,
you know, it's it's normal, thirty fifteen, twelve.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
But then when you actually watch it live, I.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
Think that might have been my first time since he's
been in his prime, this MVP prime right now he's
in watching him live, gotcha, And to just watch how
much smarter he is than everybody in the court, how
much better he is. Like he's playing with kids and
these are NBA teams. You know what I'm saying. It's

(21:33):
like I have a twelve year old son. That's what
it looks like today. I can just score them that wheel. Yeah,
I mean, his footwork is incredible, his IQ, he understands
and it's not like he's going down give me the like,
He's not a ball.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Dominant within the Florida so much.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Within the Florida offense, nobody sets more screens than him,
nobody passes the ball more than him. But sometimes how
the ball ends up in his hand and he's quick
to score with it and he makes quick decisions. It
was like it was like watching a master, a master
chess player watching this.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
I was watching the game with my girl and she
was like, oh, he's not in that good as shape.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
And I'm like, did you see him take the ball.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Off the off the radio and like he was Magic
Johnson beating everybody down the court. Finally, guys, I'm like, bro,
it was crazy. So the two starters went down very
early on in the game, Kim Johnson and bron and yeah,
Christian Brown went down, and I think it kind of

(22:38):
clicked to him, like with down two starters, I kind
of got to be a grass.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
He dropped twenty five in the first quarter, which was he.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
Just makes it look easy and said somehow his touch
just finds the net every time.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
And it's a back to back game.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
Yeah, that was the most impressive thing because I thought,
you know, I think the Clippers were like two and
a half point.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
They were up at one point, right, he went up
in the second the first first half that was played well.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
The threes.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
The kid from University of Miami, Jordan Miller, I think
his name is.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
He was incredible yesterday for the Clipper.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Yeah, for the Clippers shooting. Yeah, he was knocking down shot.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
I was like, he was amazing. The second quarter he
got crazy hot.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
I think he made like three threes in that quarter alone,
and they just you know, it was it was. The
Clippers were up at halftime, and then the third quarter
the Nuggets beat them forty three to twenty two, and
that was kind of all she wrote.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Yo, shooting from the field, he just makes.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
It eighteen of twenty three, fourteen of sixteen from the
foul line, could not miss it three and these threes
were just they weren't even touching the rim.

Speaker 5 (23:52):
He's the best player in the league. Yeah, that's he's
the best. I know, is the MVP. Yes, this is
the best player in the league.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Like them.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
This level of dominance from last night where Zubach and
people were giving me frying me on on threads because
I was like Zubach.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
His matchup.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
I've never seen anybody guard him better, like where it's like, oh,
it feels like is trying right now whenever batches on him.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
But then he was just yesterday he took the match
up personally.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
And another take to the wood shed.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
It was crazy.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Another thing I want to say, he's very underrated defensively,
He's like, I know he's not he got great hands,
but he's always in I looked at He's always in
the right spot, like you know what I'm saying, Like
like if there's help to be there, he's there. He's talking.
You know, he may lay off some picks sometime and
give the guy a shot like the defense. Yeah, but

(24:46):
he talks and he's always in the right spot.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
There was a couple of first of all, again that
did defenses over performing expectations like a motherfucker right now.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
There was a point the second defensive behind crazy.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
There was a point yesterday where like they blitzed James
on the pick and roll with Kic, like as if
he was like Dwight Howard or Anthony Davis or something
and forced the turnover.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
I was like, yeah, he was out there blitzing crazy.
He was out there.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
Blitzing hardened yesterday, getting out there slidest feet. That's what
I was like, He's getting out there over his feet.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
He's having he's having just an incredible, incredible year, which
is crazy say because he's had four incredibles, he's been
the VP before, and he's having a better year to start.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
This is the best he's ever been.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
No, no, no, no, the.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Best he started right now is the best year he's
ever seen in his career.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Averages, the numbers, I think he's shooting seventy seventy.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Just the supercent. It's not the numbers.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
No, shooting percent, he's the league assistant rebounds. Yeah, he's
playing last year's playing less minutes.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Twelve rebounds and ten assists. But he did that.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
It was his best year.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Twenty eight look good last year. But look at the
look at the numbers.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
I don't know why they don't have his field field
goal percentage of here last year, but I promised it's similar.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
It's similar.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Shooting forty one percent from three, he did that last year.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Shot high from last year twenty eight thirteen.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Like he's get shooting so well from from from the field, shooting.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
They don't. They don't even have it up. He's sixty
something from the field.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
I think he's shooting like seventy eight percent from the.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
What does it say for the season, we're at sixty
eight percent or no, no higher.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Than that, trustman, No, I was just.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Last year was a better year or on par with
the second?

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Yeah, sixty eight point this year percent, he's shooting sixty
eight killing season the better year for the season. The
last six games has just been unreal.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Yeah, you ain't lie. He's shooting sixty eight. Yeah, he's killing.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
And the Nuggets, they they look man to Tyler.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
He had a good game plan because usually it works.
He's anytime he scored fifty, they've lost. They've been all four,
so so make him, make him beat but they just
don't have the crew to They don't have the crew.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Said, our plan was to we don't want to leave
any shooters.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Make him.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
We're gonna make him a score. He was like, I
didn't think he was gonna score fifty five.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yeah, but even then again, he scored fifty. They've been
there four, Yeah, they've lost every time.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
He said, we're gonna give you.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Fifty anyway, Joker man, I know we've been doing the
Wemby watch. I think we got to start the Joker
watch because I feel like he's about to have the
best season of his life, which is crazy to say
for a guy who's already won multiple m vps. This
is the best he's ever played in his life. Last
year was the last year was up. This year is
even It's even crazier. Moving on to our next topic,

(27:54):
which I wanted to talk to you guys specifically because
you guys played on teams that actually won something and
played on teams where you guys were veteran presidents that
had to sort of impart some knowledge on some young guys.
And Draymond and Jimmy Butler, you know, after they got
smoked by OKC, they called out their teammates in the media,

(28:19):
in public particularly. I don't think they didn't say them
by name a starting lineup Creer, but I think people
got the context clues that it was the Kamingas and
the pajem Skis and the younger guys, saying that there
was some person quote personal agendas out there and a

(28:40):
lack of effort.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
After that game, they bounced back.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Both of them didn't start both of them didn't start.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
They bounced back.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Steph drops forty six, Jimmy has a great game, has
twenty eight. They just like down the stretch they played
some of the most inspiring, incredible basketball but.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Only played twelve minutes. That's wild.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Again, what I would ask y'all is like, you know,
Kaminga got his little deal, but he still wants I
don't think he wants to be right.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I think he wants to be somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Pajemski is obviously, he's in his third year, so he's
about to be after this year eligible.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
I think they also talked about because he made a
statement saying, you know, he wants to be better than Steph.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yeah, so my man Slater reported reported this out. He
or he was around his teammates and said that he
wants to be Steph or better than Steph, and his
teammates rolled their eyes. That was reported out by my
man Tony Slater. He's at ESPN now, used to be
at the Athletic and you know, he was just kind

(29:49):
of trying to kind of say that, like the older
guys kind of like sometimes feel like they're being warned
in by the attitudes.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
That the younger guys bring to in terms of their mentality.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
But what I would ask you, Paul, is like, when
is it a good time to take your issues public?

Speaker 5 (30:10):
M Like similar to what Draymond is Yeah with uh,
well obviously if he's taking this.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
And he was like, it was like a detail. We
just got into the like sort of the highlights. But
it was a long statement that he gave to the
media postgame about the lack of effort, the agendas, the
people got to get in the right headspace and this
is in championship quality and blah blah blah.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Yeah, I'm sure Draymond's had these conversations in practice with
them in the locker room with them, and it's just
when the frustration builds up, it's like sometimes it's necessary.
And I don't mind what Draymond did actually, because he's
a veteran, he's a champion in this league, he's well respected.
He can say stuff like that a certain people because
you know, he brings his hard hat every night and

(30:57):
that's been the identity of the Warriors since he's been there.
So I'm fine with him saying that on the young guys.
Maybe it'll put a battery in their back and knowing
that they're wasting a tremendous opportunity to go to practice
every day and watch Jimmy and watch stuff and him
how you know they have grown and how their work
ethic is and you know, maybe take something from them.

(31:17):
And when you see young guys not taking something from
the guys who've been there so long and became great
in this league, it's frustrating because you give them the blueprint,
like guys who gotta work. You see us, we're thirty six,
thirty seven years old, and we still work like this.
And when we see y'all not in here early, or
y'all not putting in the effort and we're still doing

(31:37):
this at this age, it could be frustrating and it
could come out in the media. And that's what I
kind of saw from Raymon.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
I like to think I'm a patient guy. Yeah, but again,
I'm sure, like what Paul just said, I'm sure he's
had this conversation with them prior, like even last year.
So some of those guys have been there last year.
I'm sure he's had multiple conversations with them. But Draymond
don't seem like the guy to wait or be patient
as soon as shit ain't right, he's going to speak
up on it and let it be known. He's not

(32:05):
one to bite his tongue comedy.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Has been on the team for four years though.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
For sure. But you know, like either way, yeah, regardless,
I don't give if it was four months. Sure, Draymond's
gonna say something, yeah, and as he should. He's supposed to.
He's one of the leaders, he's one of the vets
on that team. You know, Steph might say something, but
Steph's not the vocal what I'm saying. He goes on by
example by action. Draymond's gonna do both. But he's gonna

(32:29):
speak up and be, you know, the captain of the
team in a sense. So for me, I would think,
you know, I give it a couple of strikes and
see it's still early, twelve games in, but I let
him know behind closed doors a couple of times, and
then I'll go to coaches first. I think it would
be for me the absolute last resorts. I don't want
to call anybody out in the like in public, and

(32:51):
that's just how we've operated when I'm in San Antonio,
it's like we handle it behind closed doors. Now, if
the coaches don't say something, and I'm one of the
top I was never one of those guys. I was
one of the leaders at one point. Sure, But if
it don't change, then it's like, all right, maybe I'll
say something to media.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
I want to ask you guys though, specifically, how do
you handle something when because everybody, like that's the thing
about professional sports, your like your salary is public, you
know what I mean, Like, nobody knows what I'm getting
paid to do this.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Your salary is public.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
But that also means your teammates know that you got
a deal coming up, absolutely, and you.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Know that, like this guy is playing.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
For it to do what you're making, what you're trying
to make, what you want to know, everything is going on.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
So how do you manage that when it feels like,
you know, everybody wants their teammate to get paid, but
like we're all trying to win too.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
It goes hand in hand. Everybody eats if we win.
If you play the right way and playing winning basketball
and not just about yourself an individual, but.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
When you see somebody that's not fitting in within the team.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
The way to go about it, okay, and you know,
life teach you if I can't help teach you.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
It's easy to say, you know, when you're an older
veteran and you've made a lot of money and you
got a guy who's trying to feed he like, because
usually when you come in as a rookie, you don't
really think about winning. You're thinking about establishing yourself. You're
making a name for yourself and eventually getting a contract. Now,
once you get all of that, then you're like, all right,

(34:24):
it's time to win.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
You know. That's usually the progression of young guys mind.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
So I can see how Padjensky is like, man, I'm
trying to I'm trying to get my numbers. Hopefully we
can win while I'm getting my numbers, but I still
want to give a good showing. But you know, and
there is an agenda with a lot of young guys,
whether you like it or not, and especially when you're
a guard of his caliber, and you know you may

(34:49):
not get two or three different paydays, you know, And
so I can I can kind of see that. And
they can't knock and I can't knock them forward.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
Or nothing like that. But it's tough situation.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
My only thing before we get out of here with
Kaminga specifically is that Gary Payton GP two was closing
that game against San Antonio. This guy made like three four,
five winning ass plays at the end of the game,
and he is half.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
As talented as Johnathan Kminga. And the lesson there to
me is.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Like, if you played more like that, not only would
you have gotten paid, you wouldn't be pissed right now.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
You know, but he would have played twelve minutes.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
You know, everybody think they got the mama mentality.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
That again, I can't knock the young fellow for wanting
to get to the bag. You know that system may
not be for him, yea, that place might not be
for him, but you know he's he's going in like
and as he should. And so its Pazemski. I want
to be the best, you know what I'm saying. And
I want to I feel I can do it. I
show that I can play at a certain level. Maybe
I could play it a different and only only lightful

(35:58):
Let him know another situation. Thank you a superstar. We're
gonna find out find out real quick as you can
end up being. You know, we've seen people quickly turn
out the league very fast, right change changing.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Headed day going tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
All right, let's let's get into our favorite part of
the night man our Picks of the Night presented by
Prize Picks.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
I like, I like what's on the.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Board here, guys, Spurs versus the Warriors, the rematch uh
when be down the stretch man making damn pull up
three thirty point double bro bodying people up at the basket.
There was this one defensive possession where he chased stuff

(36:44):
around two screens, passed them off, contested the shot at
the basket, grab the boards.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
I was like, this guy is everywhere, everywhere, everywhere incredible.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
But we're talking about his points right now, So more
or less than twenty six and a half points?

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Danny you up.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
He's been on a pretty good tear right now. I
don't think gold State have his answer for him.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
But he feels like figuring.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
I think it goes both ways. It's a bad matchup
for the Spurs because they just can't chase like that
permoted with him and he has to leave the basket.
Makes him very vulnerable. Time he only had one block,
but I think he gets his points. I think he
is more than twenty six and a half. But yeah,
I like to think they get this win because we
lost of the night. But I said, if this is

(37:29):
one of the teams that will give Hi problems they
match up in the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
Yeah, it took a herculean effort from Curry for them
to win.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Yeah, but Wemby has been up and down with the scoring.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Yeah, but the last are you last.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
Wave? And every time I wrote it, he was went less.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
Gold State Also, even though Steph had forty six and
I don't see Jimmy hitting five, Jimmy hit five threes.
Moses Moody hit a bunch of threes. Guys, He's always wanted,
but he's a practice. How many you've seen him at
five thres in the game.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
In the big spots, Jimmy's always gonna make those.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
Ship man, it's an anomaly, usual time man. But like
regular sea, less less.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Than for Wemby, I'm going I'll go less than to
Draymond actually did a good job.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
I think he was like two of eight.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
He had eight turnovers against Draymond Green. He's looking at
one of them and learned from it.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
He had eight turnovers.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
But I always remember viewers that Danny Green got got
spurs silver and black in his blood.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
Coming out of his and I would say less with people.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Steph Curry twenty five and a half points more or
less than.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
I'll go more more again, it needs it, it's a
It's just a again. San Antonio was a bad matchup.
They can't chase and switch on the screen like those
pin downs. If Wenby has to run out on the floor.
The most important guy on the floor is usually Draymond
and Jimmy because not only are they quarterbacking, but they're
also set in the screen.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
So if you're sagging off Jimmy who was hitting five
and they're setting screens and Steff's coming off, you're late
and steps all he needs is daylight.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
You you sag off of Draymond and he's like, you
know what, I'm gonna run to where Steph is and
nobody's gonna be able to help when I faster? Is
fucking freaking guy more or less for Steph?

Speaker 4 (39:19):
I have to think they gotta have a better game
plan for Steph this time. Uh.

Speaker 5 (39:24):
And as you get older, there performances conformed between So
I'm going.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Last less than I'm going more. I think Steph is
he's feeling it. Uh yeah, are we gonna do more.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Yeah, we got a couple more. One more Fox and
jimm We got a couple up there.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Okay, let's do that. Then four and a half threes,
all right, and let's and we can just move on
after that.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
Right.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
You don't want to do Fox and Jimmy or even
Castle Moses. We could do one of the others. I
don't know about Hbing Horford, but.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
No, we can do this the threes and then Fox.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Yeah, okay, more or less than four and a half
three for Steph Curry.

Speaker 3 (40:01):
I'm gonna go more. He's taking fifteen. Yeah, he's sixteen.

Speaker 4 (40:06):
I'm going more.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
He's getting fifteen.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
I'm going more.

Speaker 4 (40:08):
So that puts him at fifteen points. It's gonna put.

Speaker 5 (40:10):
Him over yea more and I got him at less,
so I'm going less.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
Okay, Man last, but not least, Daron Fox twenty and
a half points more or less.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
I think he's he's still trying to figure he's trying
to he's playing to like fit in instead of playing
his game. Yeah, he's not as aggressive. I think it's
gonna take some times. I'm gonna go less for Fox
on this one.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
I'm gonna go more for Fox.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
He had a slow he had a slow game the
first game.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
I think he bounces back more than twenty and a half.
Those are our picks of the night, presented by Prize Picks.
Just wanted to do a quick Timberwolves check in. Man,
it feels like they're kind of riding under the radar
right now seven and four. They're on a three game
winning streak. They lost the very first game that and
came back, but you know, he there the next sort

(40:57):
of figured it out and is averaging twenty seven points
in twenty eight minutes. Randall is averaging twenty four. Jaden McDaniels,
it's averaging eighteen. He's been so much more aggressive hunting
get shots, especially when Ant was out. They've they've been
dealing with it with a few injuries. But you know
where do you I know where we thought we kind

(41:18):
of all had.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Them in the Western Conference pacing ord.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
We had them like kind of in that middle pack,
not playing, but not in the top tier.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
In top five, I think the top top sex.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
You had him in the top two.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
Definitely, top six.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
I got him top four.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
Yeah, I think they be top I think i'd say top.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
Five, but I think they're going to be in the
top four.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
Because before what is Underwalker? Like they had bodies. Yeah,
if they get any other injuries not I knew.

Speaker 6 (41:43):
That Walker would hurt them though, like not having don't
have developed a young kid Arren Shan Jr.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Yeah, or Dylingham, Dealingham, Dellingham and Terren Shan, both of them,
but they just haven't.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
They're still looking pretty shaky when he's out there, to
be honest, he's a tiny guy, gets lost on defense.

Speaker 3 (42:01):
Do we think they're getting back to the Western Conference
finals this season?

Speaker 1 (42:05):
It's hard for me to see that. It's hard for
me to see that.

Speaker 5 (42:08):
I mean, listen, look at it. Look at the West.
Who are your like, for sure team Denver?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Denver? Okay? See right, So.

Speaker 6 (42:20):
Then they've had problems with yes.

Speaker 5 (42:25):
And they're one of a few teams at the top
that's been together. Yeah, they've been together, like okay, see
and then whereas like I don't like if they give
a series, you can't say that. But who else Lakers?
I don't think that. You see they get to the
Lakers last year. I mean, so like, who else is
there in the Western Conference that they should fear outside

(42:47):
of Okay?

Speaker 3 (42:48):
See, I think they should very much still fear Denver.

Speaker 5 (42:51):
Well, they have respect for Denver, but they looking at different.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
You look at Denver, it was a different team and
the beat they be.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
Them like four times last year.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
Yeah, not for every single season for nothing.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
No counting them Denver.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
It's just something about Denver that they like playing them.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
I'm not counting them out. I'm just gonna say I
don't see them at the Western Conference finals this year.

Speaker 4 (43:22):
I think they if Denver has to play.

Speaker 5 (43:26):
Okay Ce before the conference finals, they're going to walk
to the conference finals again.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
This year is very different. I think even last year.
If Steph doesn't get hurt last year, that is a
different series. Yeah, they might not be in a West
conss this year. They got a match up with Golden State,
They're not going to if they got a match up.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
I'm not picking.

Speaker 3 (43:48):
I think they're gonna They're a different team.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
I'm not picking none of these old teams.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
So I think Houston I think they should worry about
Denver and okay See for sure, but I just don't
believe them enough to work like I can sure so
they can be Old State or Lakers this year with
even though is not a big difference. He's a difference
because looking like you put the.

Speaker 7 (44:07):
House against I think for me, my issue, if you
could even call it that, is that Conley is still
super important.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
And he's old, yea.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
They don't have enough.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
Absolutely starting to show his age where he's just not
as I'm not saying he's a bad defender now, he's
not as impactful as he's been in the past, and
so they're a diminished team.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
They don't have enough scoring. You got you gotta you
gotta rely on to score like it's Julius and that's
going to score. And then outside that, you gotta have
consistent that Devincenzo Nasri because if you don't have them,
those other teams are putting up numbers. Houston's put up numbers,
Lakers even put them numbers.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
I gotta believe I still have one of the best
five players in the league.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
For sure. It's not enough in the West. If it's
the East, I'll give you that, and.

Speaker 4 (44:58):
The West and not enough.

Speaker 5 (45:02):
Randos as solid as it gets random, I can count
him enough.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
The West is very tough. Bro. Again, you look at Okay,
so you never stacked, but even.

Speaker 5 (45:14):
An experience out there saying k D inexperience.

Speaker 3 (45:19):
Katie's got enough experience. They got enough, They played.

Speaker 4 (45:21):
One guys enough experience as she was older.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
They went to seven Golds.

Speaker 5 (45:26):
Do you understand them kids when them lights get brighter
and it's pressure in a playoff series?

Speaker 3 (45:34):
Different different Give me Minnesota has all of them are
the playoff.

Speaker 1 (45:40):
Have done deep, all of the guys that get big minutes,
nas Reed Roody, back to back conference finals, Mike Conley
and playoff experience, Jadi McDaniels.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
They've all like played, they all been all the Houston
been a playoffs experience to the.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
State's older. I think there's something different about the content.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
They got older, but they still got Moses Moody over there.
They got Buddy Hill, they got a bunch of Plethoro guys.
Zimski comingo, they got Plethoro guys.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
Going to that series healthy. I'm probably Warriors, but I
understand that.

Speaker 5 (46:16):
I just don't have no faith in the depth of
the Warriors. You've got Draymond calling out the young guys
and they getting vinced in. So you're saying in the playoffs,
saying they're gonna be ready.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
By the I got more this year than I did
last year. Because they're actually gonna have to play cominga.

Speaker 4 (46:30):
And is very a wild card.

Speaker 3 (46:33):
And you got Jimmy and he's got another year on
his belt with them, you got Moses Moody. He was
able to give you buddy heel like they got pieces
that can give you. Now hold for is another stretch five.
But even what they had last year, I think they
were capable of beating Minnesota. I think getting to again.

Speaker 4 (46:47):
Stay healthy, an older team, you know that's a factor.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
Yes, that that's a big piece. So you're you're banking
on that somebody, those.

Speaker 4 (46:55):
Two teams are healthy. I still got Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Okay, before just quickly, before we get out of here,
who's your top four in the West right now?

Speaker 5 (47:03):
My top four? I'm not even thinking about the records
right now? Yes, okay, yeah, Denver, Minnesota, and then I'll
probably have to throw. If I had to choose one,
I would say Houston. I will put them in the
top four.

Speaker 3 (47:18):
Top four, Yeah, it's okay, see Denver, Houston. It's not Minnesota.
It's either between go ahead, yeah go and State of
San Antonio, like.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
Oh, Sanatoria, No Lakers.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
Lakers, I say Santoni Lakers. On the outskirts, so gold
State four. Then I got, I got Minnesota behind both
of them. When it comes to trust Lakers and and
San Antonio, I got, I got Minnesota behind both of them.

Speaker 1 (47:47):
Mine is just just off trust. Like you said, no records. Okay,
see Denver, Golden State, Houston, for sure, those are my
Those are my teams that I trust the most.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
How do you trust Houston because Houston because because Houston
has an elite side of the ball with young, they
have an elite unit. Their defensive unit is elite, an elite.
I used to be an elite.

Speaker 5 (48:14):
De sense last year, last year, before the season started,
when you saw that Phoenix had Bradley Beal and book
and what I didn't know?

Speaker 4 (48:21):
I didn't.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
I didn't say that, but I might have thought they would.
I might have thought they would be an elite. You know.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
I knew for sure they weren't gonna be. But but
their offense, you know, I knew it was gonna work.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
You know, before the season started.

Speaker 8 (48:34):
Before the season they got I was like, come on,
Phoenix is gone. I was like, don't do that season start?

Speaker 3 (48:49):
Clip from something, A lot of sentiment, a group chat,
my clips from last year inside.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
The where the season started and started with horrible They
was the trade you said this.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Yeah, I never always the fact.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
On the next episode, we're gonna have both of our
rankings documentation of it.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
For you again. Bro, look at that number, I think
the top in the league in like points per possession
some crazy like.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Bro, they're killing it the offense again.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
I got them in my top five or four.

Speaker 2 (49:26):
The producer Chris remind remind us to pull up because
this guy is he's calling us liars.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
We gotta show that. Okay, moving on man to okay,
see which hu.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
Hum twelve and one they're SGA is averaging thirty three points. Again,
They're doing this all without their second best player hasn't
played a second this season. They're leading the NBA in
point differential, meaning this smoking every single team.

Speaker 1 (49:59):
It's hard for me to see who can get in these.

Speaker 3 (50:02):
Guys way they had on the bench.

Speaker 1 (50:08):
On the bench, they didn't have all the guys.

Speaker 3 (50:09):
And lou Dort too of their best to of their
best defenders still on the team out.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
Still a J Mitchell. By the way, where did they
find this kid is a two way player?

Speaker 3 (50:20):
Now he's they sign him to a three year, eight
billion dollar contract, a contract they got him on a
cheap contract too, like a three four year deal for
eight million dollars something that.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
He's like one of the top five or six players.
I saw this somewhere like the track drives. Per game
he's one of the top drivers. He's just taking it
to the rack every single game.

Speaker 3 (50:42):
With good talent and good players and a good atmosphere
the game, it becomes easier for you and so it's
counting for Nobody knows who he is really. But again,
when you have an s g A, you have a chet.
I can't imagine what's gonna like when Jay Dobb comes back,
lou dort Aaron Like they have their resting guys.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
They feel like they're on a seventy seventy win pace, Yeah, seventy.
They feel like they're, you know, on the pace to
march to and get the back to back.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
It's just for me.

Speaker 2 (51:12):
Even in the playoffs last year, I thought the Denver
series was telling. I thought the Indie series was telling,
Like they're built to smoke people in the regular season.
They're super deep, they play really hard every single game.
They like the energy, the physical like they can they
can be consistent every game with what they do that
makes them elaite. So regular season they're telling me, I
just think in the playoffs it's gonna be a different story.

(51:33):
And I do think Denver winner, if they meet again,
is gonna give them. That's the head of it's gonna
be the series. We're probably gonna see them in.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
The finally, hope we get both of those teams for
your health and we.

Speaker 3 (51:44):
Get at least we're gonna at least six to seven games.
Yeah in that series.

Speaker 4 (51:48):
Yeah, Kers looks like he's on a mission.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
But can you think of another team that might because
we all agree Denver they proof of.

Speaker 3 (51:54):
Constantbody thought, Lakers because of like Luca, we haven't seen
Bron healthy. Because they're smart enough. They live off turnovers.
I mean, you have three guys or at least two
guys who don't turn it over and a smart high
Q guys that handle a bigger than your guys.

Speaker 4 (52:07):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
But the way that they said made Luca look he
had one of his worst offensive games. He has the
worst offense against them. They trapped him. You know, they
got physical, they got they made him start their offense
at half court. Like if they're doing that to him,
I'm sure Luca played better if you had Brown alongside him.
So you think the Lakers would be a ton I
think it's a different matchup. It's only it's only Denver bro.

Speaker 4 (52:36):
It's whole team's healthy. Those are the class of the NBA.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
Yeah, yes, got you. Okay.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
On a completely different note, the Indiana Pacers, the Eastern
Conference reigning champions, are in playing for the Bulls guy,
trying to get a They're last in the East.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
They get to get a top pick.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
Uh, expectations for them.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
I figured they'd be if they if they had everybody's
healthy themhar t J. McConnell, Nie Smith, Matherin, Pascal Siaco.

Speaker 1 (53:10):
I think they'd be back still in the East.

Speaker 3 (53:13):
I thought they still be like a top six. It's
just they were good. They had a deep team. Mylesorny
missing piece, but is an All Star. Yeah, All NBA teams,
All NBA team, he's a Border All.

Speaker 4 (53:28):
Star, All Star East.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
He's a solid All Star All Star.

Speaker 4 (53:34):
How many All Star teams since he made three years?
Been in the league, like eight nine years?

Speaker 5 (53:39):
Yeah, okay, yeah, I mean he's a he's an All Star, yes,
but he's not a parential So.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
You're not surprised that they're thinking up the.

Speaker 3 (53:47):
Stots three times All Star but sting the giants crazy.
I thought they'd still be like I did.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
I thought they would much better than this. I thought
they would be at the bottom. I thought they would be.

Speaker 5 (53:57):
John watched actually watch them in the finals. Yes, yes,
like they were good because of Halliburton, fair like he
created everything.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
There were also good times they played well without.

Speaker 6 (54:09):
Without him, when TJ Crazy would have some games come
on now, so listen to this.

Speaker 5 (54:18):
You lost Halliburton right, and you lost uh turner turner,
So now all the roles that you were comfortable playing
you got to play a different role, more expanded.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (54:29):
I think you're not comfortable like when we saw TJ
starting and played like the second half of that game.
He looks horrible in the finals. Sure because the minutes
was too much. He's not used to playing against.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
Other twenty minutes bass to the wall, Yeah, that's the wall.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
I think losing Miles hurt them more than anything because
they had moments where they play with out Tarris and
looks out. Also the reason why TJ. McConnell was hurt
for some game them Hart was out like all those
guys were out. They had all their guys. See all
of the guys and they're all together. They're a better
team than one and ten. One in eleven they beat Charlotte.

Speaker 5 (55:05):
What I'm saying, they better than those teams. Man, these
guys made them look better.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
Well, let me ask you guys one more thing. He
was voted the most overrated player last year by his peers,
which is weird, Like Halliburton really be the most overraty
is he the most underrated?

Speaker 1 (55:26):
Like he's out and they one and eleven without underrated that.

Speaker 4 (55:35):
I mean, he's got the conference finals.

Speaker 3 (55:37):
People talking, people rave about how.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
Great he's rated. You think he's rated properly.

Speaker 4 (55:42):
I think he's okay. So where do you rank him
as the point guards? So today.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
And the East, just in the whole league league, he's
probably he's definitely top ten, but the top five is
like he's probably right outside Brunton. I mean, are you
putting s G.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
A in there?

Speaker 5 (55:57):
S G.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
Lucas is a point guard? Is a point guard?

Speaker 1 (56:02):
Do you guys think he's.

Speaker 3 (56:03):
Better than MAXI this year he's having I mean, I
feel like they're they're on the same playing field. I
feel like they're both in like MAXI, I mean Lucas
Luke Lucas a point.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
Guards a system andto himself Lucas a point guard.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
Lucas I mean, if we're gonna do that is a
point guard, you know, like we're doing that, then yeah,
he's not better.

Speaker 1 (56:23):
Than that five best players.

Speaker 4 (56:25):
But you know, just like the way Halliberg influences, he's a.

Speaker 3 (56:28):
Top seven point guard for sure. I think he's the
top seven point guard.

Speaker 4 (56:31):
I think he's top five.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
There you go, he's the biggest Haliburt.

Speaker 4 (56:36):
He influences winning. People said that he does the conference
finals two in the world. Who playing for that?

Speaker 3 (56:45):
Again, there was moments where he was very up and
some games he didn't show even he had game winners.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
Even the game times with the stats, she doesn't match
up with his actual exaction talking about.

Speaker 1 (56:56):
I agree with that he does.

Speaker 3 (56:57):
He does win. He makes many players. But the reason
why people were game is overrated, which we're not gonna
say he's underrated, is because he got a lot of
hype for but his team was also good and they
won when he didn't play well or when he didn't
play well, you know, the record when he didn't score
twenty points. It was really bad.

Speaker 4 (57:13):
They got good coaching.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
I think Rick, I think, if anything, maybe not underrated,
underappreciated whatever.

Speaker 1 (57:20):
I think he's better than people.

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Said on the game they had the game winn I
think he had like twelve eighteen, like he had twelve
points or so. He had the game winner first game.
But it's like he was getting thirty like people had
him in the standard because there was a time last
year before last he was getting thirty and twenty. He
was getting twenty as sis games. Yeah, that standard is
impossible to upkeep. So that's why they thought he was
like j Kit you know what I'm saying, like that status,

(57:44):
you know he's gonna get Rondo numbers the triple double,
twenty point, twenty assist game or sixteen to six, saying
he's just properly and he was shooting forty something from
three he hit those numbers.

Speaker 4 (57:53):
Came about his individual performance. That's what you're not even talking.

Speaker 1 (57:56):
Was talking about the team, just talking he's the engine.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
The season, the.

Speaker 1 (58:04):
Matters.

Speaker 4 (58:04):
That matters.

Speaker 5 (58:05):
But we're telling you think about this when you want
the time out, and he's like he doing talking ship
Gast on his team up. That influence is bigger than numbers.
Sometimes I agree he made them look like he had
them like pumpkins right now.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
But in the back and the way he gave he
gave the nick fans.

Speaker 4 (58:26):
Last morning.

Speaker 3 (58:26):
When you talk about individual numbers, that's what you're talking about.
When you've rated somebody over under, you talking about the individual.

Speaker 4 (58:34):
Because his.

Speaker 9 (58:36):
Numbers don't We're just talking about the numbers. Numbers were
you think Tree Young is better than that? Trey Young's numbers,
that's always been better than his always that went by.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
Plays by the way, stop come on, stop stop do.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
Stop doing balk abouts.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Run bro to take this. Okay, see team the seven
and he's the engine of the team.

Speaker 4 (59:01):
If you don't get hurt, we can say that if
he don't, Hi might have won it.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
He was looking like he was on his back.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
Yeah, I'm not taking anything I would have you. I'm
giving you the Devil's advocate. Why people saying he was overrated,
So it was a lot of what are you saying though,
I think he's very good. I think he's a top
seven point guards. That's a very good rating. Like we're
acting like I'm saying he's the top seven in the league,
and you're talking about Jalen Brunson s g A like,

(59:29):
there's a lot of great points out then let's him.

Speaker 1 (59:31):
I think he showed Jailing that he could be at
his level for sure, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (59:36):
For sure? Jayl's more consistent to me. That's what makes
him outside of the top five.

Speaker 4 (59:42):
To me, he was like, he's more consistent with his numbers.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
Just his nice show up. There's nights he didn't get
the record of him.

Speaker 1 (59:51):
That's nice.

Speaker 3 (59:52):
They lost, Bro, they lost when you don't score twenty,
they lost. That's fucking simple, like you can flying flying
ship no matter you lose. Yeah, they won series, but
they lost games when.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
He Danny Green gonna make him hit the rehab even harder.

Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
Bro, I never said, y'all making me look like I'm
not a fan of the guy's.

Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
Game, the one without the guys.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
It's not just him, Moss Turner's going Nemhart didn't play.
T J McConnell didn't pay like this guy. Pascal sat
out games. They all sat out games and hat hall Burton,
but I'm not I'm not saying that I didn't expect
him to be great. Yes, they were gonna be worse
had he's a level the top seven. When you got
a league of like Luca bro he's the top seven.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
He's very good. That hall of hate has to end.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
That's crazy, Indiana fans on my crazy crediting guy.

Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
That's the caption to hallae hate. We're just gonna get
some predictions out of you guys for some for some
NBA Cup action.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
Heat at Nicks.

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
I'm going heat.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Who's back yet?

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
It doesn't matter the Knicks arrested, they're at home, but
the team at home out the ankle.

Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
Forget that, Forget what I just said. Everything I just said.

Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
Russell got the ankle and yeah, man, but they've been playing.

Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
He won well regardless of that one.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
If Brunton ain't playing, I'm going I'm going heat.

Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
If Chal's out, give me the heat. The sixers at
the Pistons. Piston has been on.

Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
I'm going Philly Man. Detroit and de Troit do for
a loss.

Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
They want the.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Detroit top four defensive n B A Detroit K Cunningham
on a roll. They don't get they.

Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
Don't have a match for a loss like ten and one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Raised not enough for K cunning to give me the
Pistons number one in the East right now, Kings at
the Timberwolves, give me a break.

Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Teams in the NBA, we shouldn't evenscuss all yeah, Timberwolves, Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Warriors at the Spurs rematch, Danny.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
I'm saying, Spurs get they get back. I'm saying because
I just don't see I just don't see Jimmy getting
five threes again and most Moody like both they had
like ten threes between both of them orne three. I
would say al Harford had a couple of hair like
three threes. So like their supporting cast came up, I'm
gonna say carried them. They came up big for them
because step had forty six and he didn't have a
great night from three. He was five for sixteen from three.

Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
Gonna take it easy.

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
They're not gonna take it easy though.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
I like, Okay, I'm going to Spurs.

Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
It's hard to beat the team back to back.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
It is. It is the NBA, all right, folks. That
