Speaker 1 (00:25):
What's up y'all?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Welcome back to No Fouls Given, presented by Prize Picks.
Of course, I'm big Wise, joined as always by Danny Green.
Paul Pierce got another great show lined up for you, guys.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Let's get right into it, y'all. All right, ma man.
As of this recorded, Willie Green has officially been.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Fired, damn, quite unceremoniously from the New Orleans Pelicans. The
writing was kind of on the wall with him. I've
seen something this year that I've never seen before.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
They had seen.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Announcing Willie Green as their head coach, starting lineups.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
At home while he was still working there.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
While he was still the head coach. Do that because
he was getting booed mercilessly.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
I didn't know that was the reason. I just I
don't understand why they were.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
I'm pretty sure it's because he was just getting booed.
He was getting killed, Yeah, Nico Harrison. They had put
a like they put a brand new entrance to whatever
for where he was sitting.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
He had like a secret entrance way because it got
so bad with Willie Green.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
They were like, we're gonna pretend you're not even our
coach any Damn.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
And so he's gone.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Joe Dumars came out and said that he expects James
Morego to be the interim coach and finish out the season. Basically,
I guess give him a chance to prove that maybe
he should be the coach. If not, then they go
on a coaching search, you know, next off season.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
But you know, what are your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Danny on Willie Green as a coach and the circumstances
that are surrounding his firing.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I like I like James Arego. I know him pretty
well from San Antonio days and he went to Charlotte.
He's good for kind of you're trying to rebuild or
like get some positivity in an atmosphere. I don't like
the firing of Willie Green. I think Willie. I never
played for him, but I played against him. He's always
been a solid dude. I just think the situation was bad,

(02:20):
Like they set him up. It's a bad situation. Any
coach that's taking the next job, like James Brego, it's
a bad situation. They need to be looking at people
above him because he didn't he didn't put the roster together.
He can't control injuries, so you know, it was a
bad thing all around. As I think it starts at

(02:40):
the top. So you know, it sucks that he had
to be the one to fall on the sword, but
somebody had to for it.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
So he's had some success over there, like got the
team to the playoffs even without Zion constantly and stuff
like that.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
And they have just a terrible start this season.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Like like what you think management should have done, could
have done differently, Like in season.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
You know, I don't know what was going on in
the locker room.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Obviously something was going there, some tension between the players
and Willie. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Once you
start losing the players and you know the writings on
the wall. But he never really got a fair shake.
Never had a team that was that was healthy. Yeah,
you know, you dealt with Zion injuries the last three
or four years, Ingram, you trade away Ingram, you know,
you get rid of CJ.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
McCollum.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
You know, they you know, has been hurt. It's like
he never really got a fair shot. So when you
get situations like this, somebody got to be the scapegoat. Yeah,
you know what I'm saying, They're not gonna blame Zion
They're not gonna blame the players.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
It's always gonna come on.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
It's uh, it's tough because I was listening to my
guy Adam Morez out of Denver and he said when
they came into Denver, they went down by like forty
at one point during that game. And he's like, he
was there, he could tell there was a disconnect between
the guys and the coach. So like, at a certain point,

(04:09):
even if Willy's done a pretty good job, like it's untenable.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yeah, you know, you need some you need something you
need to change.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Also, we know that gms like to bring their own
guys in, So ownership they fired David Griffin.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Will Willie Green was a Griffin.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Higher, but they ownership loved Willie Green, so they were like,
we're keeping him on. But you can't be surprised at
the new management with Joe d and his crew, Like
we need to get our own guy in that That
tends to be what happens in the NBA when people
and so like pically Ship should have just like been like,
you know what, it's a new regime. Let him bring

(04:48):
in his own thing, because that just gives the GM
an escape route, you know, what I mean, like, it's
not get him out of here, you know, so I
think that's what happening. Willie Green, unfortunately is getting.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Thrown out on his feet. Thought Willie Grave is a
good coach.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, he has a great reputation. Pretty much everybody who's
like who knows about his Yeah, we're gonna get to you, Danny,
who knows about his his work habits rave about him.
And I think he'll be fine. I think so for sure.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
We're gonna move on to the Golden State Warriors, who
had two incredible wins back to back Instant Classic regular
season games against the San Antonio First two forty balls
in a row, culminating in a forty nine point outburst
by Steph Curry in the second game. In the process,
he tied Michael Jordan for most forty four games after

(07:12):
after turning thirty. This is forty fourth forty point game
after the age of thirty, which.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Is basically in seven years.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, forty four, which little Birdie told me he might
have heard Danny Green said he's not even a top
three point guard in this league and.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Had him insane. Wait hold on, no, yeah, right, that's right.
But I had him my top five. Y'all had Halliburn
in there. Yeah, you're talking about some holly hated but
I got Steph in my top five. We're talking about
KK got Detroit number one, and know what I'm saying,
So bro, I picked K. It still ain't a bad
pick to me, but this was impressed crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Did you have Oh yes, of course for more?

Speaker 3 (07:55):
You had him for less?

Speaker 4 (07:56):
I had him last for I had Steph Curry more.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
I have in my top five. They this is impressive.
It's a unbelievable game. And for him to do it
back to back, he made it way more impressive. But yeah,
I mean he's.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
There making it into both games.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
He's definitely making the case. Said it because I had K.
I took a young guy, but the way he's playing,
I just I really hope that he can stain it
and stay healthy for the Because I got Golden State,
I said, I got them beating better in Minnesota, Like
got you. I'm saying I got them better than Minnesota.
They're just more they're more polished, they more experienced than boys,
and they're just a tough matchup for certain groups.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Paul, what do you think about Steph after thirty just
still being able.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
To deliver against a young after thirty he's over thirty five,
he's seven years old.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Now seven now, Yeah, and this is against a young
you know, castling.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
These guys they get into dudes like.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Which more impressive. I said, I didn't think they win
this game, but I was like, even he scored fifty,
I don't think they because Moody didn't have the same game.
Jimmy played well, but not the same game.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
It was still low scoring one on nine to one
o eight. Yeah, but Wemby, I guess didn't get the
help that he normally gets, you know five.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
It just makes me think about when I was thirty seven,
how I felt right like, you know what I'm saying.
I was still in the league. I played till about
thirty nine. But for him to be doing this at
the age of thirty seven, when I think about when
I was thirty seven, hours waking up. How practice was
I was in Washington. I had to wear I had
to get my leg taped up from my way from

(09:24):
here all because I had my knee outs have a
knee issue. All the way to right here. I got
pictures of this. I had to play every game. Yeah,
I had a turf toe and I'm looking like dude
out here thirty seven, look like he can play about
five more cool.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Yeah, that's like you know what I'm saying. I knew
I was over for me, Like I'm like, nah, it's
too much to get ready and to cool, like to
get the engine going, yeah, to cool the engine down right.
And again, if you're not playing a certain amount of
minutes or the right amount of minutes, and the coach
sets you for too long, it's a rap like it
ain't no way't go back in because once once I'm
out for a ten minutes, like I can't help you.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Right, he's thirty seven, and he's picking his spots like steps,
he's going one hundred miles an hour the whole thirty
seven minutes or whatever he's playing per game, like.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
He's wearing these younger dudes out.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
You know. It was like one of those things that
used to track havingim out he's still running those miles
a game like CJ McCollums on those guys like yeah, Patty,
like there a certain guy like for him to be
thirty seven and still running in circles miles and miles
per game. Again, I hope that he sustains this throughout
the because what he's doing is impressive and I think
they could be a really good team in the playoffs.

(10:34):
He might. He made me look wrong with picking cat over, Like.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
You're looking at all these guys in the league that's
thirty five plus, like KD is what thirty seven forty
they're still playing at a.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
High, extra high level, like it's out Horford.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
To me, he's not doing for him very good moving
like as nimbly as he does, like even out Horford.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
I'm like, man, that's really impressive.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
And for me, if Steph is going to be playing
at this level, that's why I can't count Goldie State
out of you know, serious contention. Also, they smoked the
Pelicans on Sunday. Moses Moody dropped the career high thirty two, uh,
and we talked about Draymond and Jimmy kind of calling
the team out and this thing could have went sideways,

(11:21):
but they've responded with two big wins against the Spurs
and now a third win in a row against the
lowly Pelicans.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
And Moody playing well. Still, Yeah, I'm pretty.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Good to see it.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Drey spoke about his pot He said he was not
talking about them, but he said is one of the
most bodying guys since the beginning of it.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
We know who Draymond Green was talking about.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
It could have been, could have been present. You know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm I'm I'm just happy to see
them respond.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Like for sure, and again back to what he was saying,
these older guys and make unfair for some of the
other guys that like we hold him such high standard
that's over thirty five, like CP, it's like we expecting
to see it is year twenty two for CEP. Respect
from him. There's also other older guy like Kyle Lowry's
and the Philly Like, We're not gonna see that everybody.

(12:19):
It's like we're again the reason why I picked k
is because like, not everybody's lebron. I don't see it.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Makes sense that a thirty seven year felve year old gold,
he's not going to be our best guy.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Yeah for a whole Like now, I said, he'll give
you like thirty good games out the season, which is
still very good. But for him to give you fifty
or sixty good games and then being ready for playoffs
at thirty seven, he's got He's found something that a
lot of us have not found. And it's something to
keep your body healthy, your mind, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Like, and so you know, you guys remember early on
his Steph's career, he was dealing with the ankle stuff,
chronic ankle issues, missing a lot of time because of it.
But now it's just, you know, it feels like he's
a machine man. I I wrote a thread on Threads
and was like, Yo, we need to we need to
cherish these Steph Curry moments while we can, because it's

(13:07):
not guaranteed.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Like Steph Brown, these guys.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Could fall off a cliff tomorrow because of the.

Speaker 6 (13:12):
Age, you know what I mean, Like even is looking
good completely, you know what, James, Yeah, we forget about
West Tomar still ball.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Yeah, ball, So like there's some still some guys that
are that are doing it. You gotta appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (13:28):
Man, what's what's thirty five and all? Thirty five? Enough
team right now? It's definitely thirty four. Ron, it's dark.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Damar is definitely over thirty five because you've got your
seventeen eighteen. Like he's James and Lamar.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
James is thirty five.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
He's definitely James and James and Lamar.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Westbrook.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yeah, Russ up there after five your eighteen Jimmy, Jimmy
can't be thirty thirty Jimmy thirty five, Yeah for sure, yeah, man, Man,
so yeah, look that's the top. Jeff Green still Uncle Jeff.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Thirty seven.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
No, we ain't got them on the first five.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
They're not the old team.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
We got hard on there in Westbrook. The thirty five
and up group, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (14:20):
Yeah, Kyle Lowry Brook Low, they're still in the league.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Beyondre they were here last year. I forget Nicolatum. Yeah,
it's a lot of older guys getting it done, for.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Keeping it going. Yeah to them just to find the
motivation to get up and go. You know, they're not
practicing as much, but to get up and show up
to the gym every day. Yeah, so you know, put
on the lace up the Sneakers don't even have nothing.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Just the maintenance that you made your money already about
like maintenance that you have to.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Steph made his money. He's unfortunate. Yeah for him to
still get up and be like, yo, I still want.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
To incredible what I'm saying. So yeah, everybody keep your
eye on the Warriors.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
Man.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
They seem to have righted the ship and it's really
dope to see.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Moving on to the Lakers, somehow Lebron did not play
for the South Bay.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Somehow suggested.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
The game.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Was crazy.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Fans that paid the up charge thinking they might get
a glimpse of the goal didn't happen. But he has
been reallocated to the Lakers and it's likely to return
this week.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
And Bronnie James got to start this week too. They
went back to back games. You gotta starts Milwaukee. That
was a big one.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Bronnie James, the NBA starter, apparently started.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
He yes, I think they played ten minutes, scored, but
they were down peace to I think Marco Smart had
a oh, they have bodies down the back to back
and I think they have bodies that gave Vinsons already out.
It wasn't just to give virus. No, they had to
start him because they were down numbers, got you, and
they wanted to keep it balanced so that I know
who came with the bench that played more minutes. But yeah,

(16:00):
they started.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
So bron is coming back, which, as Paul predicted, that
that's gonna make the Lakers much worse somehow. I'm saying,
if they do something versus the chemistry, Okay, he's gonna
mess up to Kembi.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Because I like the way they got it, Like they
they move the ball, the hookahs in the zone reads
look at DeAndre Ayton looking like, uh, the number one pick.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
You know what I'm saying. You know his twenty and ten.
He got a couple of nights in twenty and ten,
now like he is twenty you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
So, like how they're gonna distribute the the minutes and
the touch and the touch is like, how is that gonna?

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Look?

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Now he has to really take which I don't.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
He has to get off the ball.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
He can do that.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
I said, even take like even a lesser amount of
like he has to play twenty five.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Always buck up against that thing.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
He's not gonna be like I'm a twenty eight minute guy.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
You gotta play some of the second units.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
But just like you just said, once he sit down,
he can't sit down alone.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Once you put the engine and like neutral some shit
you're trying to.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
That's what he said though in the past, like he's
like he doesn't want a minute's restriction.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
It's like, all right, if I miss a game, then
I missing.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
He wants to keep playing, but like in terms of
playing thirty one minutes a game, he's just not.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
He's bucked against that.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
You have to keep your mind and body and that,
like to keep it going because once you stop doing
that ship it's really hard to rev back up into that.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
I don't think he's going to come back and immediately
be playing in the thirties, not esentially eight.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Yeah, but he'll be playing his low thirties. But I
think he plays like he needs to play twenty four
and play a lot with the second unit and be
more of like him and eight and for salt, and
then you know, do what he the last year running
four gets some easy put backs, rebound, defensive.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
And listing what you asking for the forty one year old.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
He did it last year, though I.

Speaker 5 (17:52):
Can see last year but if you noticed this, if
you go back to last year when they first traded
for Luca, think about like when you got a player
that went to your team, it was like an excitement
at first. So it was like a lot of the
adrenaline was like, oh damn, we got Luca. So you
kind of like you going hard on the paint now.
And then remember that first two weeks they started off

(18:12):
like one, like six seven in a row.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Then it fizzled down.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Bron got hurt again.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, man, well you're saying, and what do you think
he's going to do, because you seem to be saying
that Lebron's not gonna do that, But what do you
think he's gonna do when he comes in?

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Lebron's gotta figure out how to fit in with Luca,
like and and how does that work? Because they kind
of play alike. You know, Luca got to have the ball.
He's their best player.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
I think he's gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Yeah, he's their best passer, he's their best scorer.

Speaker 5 (18:44):
Like, he's their best like Lebron, he has to find
a way to be like man, all right, maybe he.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Come out early, then go back in with the second unit.
You know what I'm saying, help run the.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Second unit, because like at the start, you gotta let
Luca kind of free.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Yeah, he's playing at that ultimately level. I don't think
I don't think he heard of Luca at all.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
I don't think it changes anything of Luca's.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Not I think they're going to be fine. Fat guy.
I think it's it's way better to have Brown out
there in Van Doo.

Speaker 5 (19:12):
You know, but what do you do with Luca when
Broun is at the top with the ball running office.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
Luca is not a stand in a corner guy.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Again, That's why he said ar is usually guy does
the second unit.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
It's gonna be ways to make himself useful.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
He's not that, but I think he'll find a way
to make himself useful. Chris, what is the eight in rumors?

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Just that he's.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Oh, okay, okay, So that's what Reeves heard. He's responding
to the eight rooms before he got to the Lakers.
Since okay, so awesome Reeves, because he's a great teammate,
he's going out of his way to just tell people
like this guy ate in his he says, quote, it's
unfortunate that the world works this way. That you hear

(20:04):
things about people before you even around them, that people
try to paint a narrative of character. You have to
be your own judge of character towards people these days.
Reef said the things that you hear, the things that
I heard about him was that he wasn't coachable moody,
and it's been completely opposite.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
A In, the former number one pick, has been incredible
for the Lakers this year.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Sixteen points eight rebounds, barely a block.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
But sixty.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Boys, yeah, give barely his point block bro get out
of his blocks thirty minutes a good action.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
You know, he's been better than I would have thought
that he would have been, especially this early on in
the season. I thought it would take him a while
to sort of get acclimated to these guys.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
But they've shown that it was a worthy pickup.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
He's done a great job. Is that his approach this
is different.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
And that it was a good thing that they tanked
the Mark Williams trade on purpose.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
He's locked in. He's locked in right now, which is great,
and I gotta get I give a lot of credit
to Austin Reaves because he's the one that's kind of
gotten him involved in that ye, like he's throwing them. Yeah,
dropped off the you know, please, he's dropped the ball
off to huntil he get That may change when Bron
comes back, But he's looking getting the big man, you know,
a little bit of you know, offensive action so that
he can feel like he's involved. So he'll rebound more,

(21:19):
he'll play defense and talk. So I don't know how
if he'll stay locked him for the full season, but
we hope he does. But it's a big change run.
It's huge for them because they didn't have any of
this last year. He had no rebounding that Rudy Gobert
said was getting thirty and twenty in the playoffs. So
if you can kind of neutralize that, that's a totally
different team, like now you because Minnesota beat them shooting

(21:40):
terribly from three. It's a different series if you have
a guy that can rebound. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
But the thing is too, it's a wake up call
when you come to the Lakers because for.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
One, when you get waved and you got bought out
and you.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
Number one picking you on your third team in six years, Yeah,
like come on, that's tough. So he like, if I'm him,
I'm over here looking at all these cats in my draft,
getting these two hell got paid. They all got paid.
I'm ok, I'm the number one pick. Like he know
he gotta get his act.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
Got this last.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
This is around.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Yeah, so you got picked before Luka Doncic.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
I mean he got it paid, but he got If
he didn't change his ways, that would have been his
last contract. And he knows that, like it's a make
up break season for him.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
It is.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
And again as he's talked about it against after the game,
because I was working spectrum and then he was just saying,
even when they lost, I forget who they lost to,
and he said DeAndre in the first thing, he said,
you know it was my fault. Didn't come to play,
and he took held himself accountable. And he's like, that's
who they know him to be. Wow, guy that holds
himself accountable. I'm like, oh, okay, that's different.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
That's not that's not what he was doing in Portland.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
But whatever, Portland is a different style.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
So is this a contract year?

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (22:50):
Man, how many times you been there to see a
guy in this contract year?

Speaker 4 (22:55):
He looked tall and run different that year? You know
it do happen?

Speaker 5 (23:01):
Like maybe those things was true in them other places
he wasn't coulforable, but he understands it now.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yeah, it's sunking in.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
And you know the other thing that it reminds me
of to just hearing Austin Reeves talk like that. I
remember lamar Odham gave an interview and he was like,
I'm not a self starter. I'm not a like, I'm
not a self motivator.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Like being would motivate me, like he would push me,
and I needed that.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
Not everybody's self motivated, even if they have it within him,
they need that extra push. And it seems like maybe
Austin Reeves is like being that guy with DeAndre Ayton,
which is fucking phenomenal if you're a Laker fan.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
Yeah, it's it's kind of it's kind of sad to
see that, Like there's certain superstars for you to be
like or a guy that's a top pick. He not
be self motivated, but a lot of a lot of
other people that's why you need those God.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Gave him his his height, his mobility, like he's naturally talented.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
He had the whoop, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
It's not like but nah, he's definitely a guy. He
feeds off other people's energy, and you gotta keep him
locked in by continuing Austin reeves and having.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
A two man game, and Bron's gotta come in and
kind of do the same thing.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Yeah, what I'm saying, like, if Bron has one of
those fits or like has a couple of moments where
he's like, nah, we can't trust him with the ball.
We're not feeding the ball. One of two games, you
might lose him. You know what I'm saying, Man, you
might lose him.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
So all right, Well that was our Laker update.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
We're moving just up the road, well up the five
Highway to Sacramento, where, according to.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Rohan, Bron bought.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Yeah I tried.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Clutch points shouts to Rohan. DeMar DeRozan is on the
trading block.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
This block right, Yeah, they're talking about Zach damn even
some bonuses and the report saying that they're ready to
blow it up.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
So yeah, the Lakers are. He's long been rumored with
the Lakers, even before he signed with the Kings. The
summer he signed, the last two teams he was talking
to were the Lakers and the Kings, So they were
the finalists for that.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
I like and that's been reported and all of that.
It's not a lot of being and all that stuff.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
The Lakers.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
I don't see the Lakers fit to be honest, between
bron Luca Austin, Like, where's Damar ball handled?

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Where is it gonna fit? And he does his space.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
More on Clippers side than if anything becomes Clippers James needs.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
That's the graveyard right there.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
One.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
It's a better graveyard than that he got. At least
James with him. You got Tyler also is to.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Be in Los Angeles.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
He's at the crib.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
I want to see Damar have an opportunity to win
a championship at this day. And where is that? Okay,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Where can he go in and be like all right
he can give maybe like Philly, No, they got they
got Paul George, So that ain't gonna work. So like
maybe like the trade, maybe that's the trade Paul George and.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Him, Yeah, bringing Paul George to Sacramento.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Wolf, Sacramento is not doing too many years.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Understand, See, Philly is a championship opportunity they have contentionally
healthy if you went healthy, Joe's healthy, Tyres Maxley, you
got the young.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
Kid or maybe a veteran presence in Orlando.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Yeah, young kids, Orlando could use some more ball handling, you.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (26:35):
Like they.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Have missed Jesus, Why am I blanking on the lights
kin dude's name Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
The sixth Man of the Year Tie Jerome, Like they've
missed his his ball hand president.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Yeah, like the market they also had that they have,
they have, they have people out. But the issue with
Cleveland is they always the two big, too small two
bigs they feel like don't work, Like Darius and Don
together is too small, and then Jared Allen and Evan
Moby together. It's like it's just most people looking at
it, it looks like an oxymoron, Like it just doesn't look
like it makes sense and it hasn't worked thus this far.

(27:21):
Yes again, so again they have to prove themselves this year.
They don't win this year, you have to.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
They got to at least get to the conference finals
for show.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Yeah, and if they don't, you who you're moving, you
gotta move?

Speaker 2 (27:32):
I think I think again we got to mention he's old.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Another year on his deal.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I think hat like twenty five twenty six million dollars,
which is going to be effective for some teams. But
you know, to me, I look at it, it's player control,
like you know you're gonna have him for this year
and next year if you trade for him.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
And obviously he's Darius Garland for Damar.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
No, hell no, no.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Absolutely not. Jeez.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
I mean he makes more, of course, but you.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
Can't be saying that.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
You can't be saying that I'm not you might not
get that GM job, saying that I'm not looking for it.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
I'm not. I'm not I'm not the point guard for tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
Again, the issue is saying that hasn't done. Too small
doesn't work.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
He's not exactly Scottie Pip. That's never been his.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Reputation, but he gives you a different dynamic offensive. He's
a bigger guard. He's not a small He's a bigger
the contender, so he could be OK. He still come
up the bench because they have Strews and everybody else
over there.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
So I'm trading my starting point guard for.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
A six man and another personli, I see what you're saying.
It's not just a straight up one one. They don't
they don't have they don't make this. I think you're.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Saying that should they could get more offensive depth.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
And if you're trying to win that like you're gonna
got you can get. I understand tomorrow maybe Milik. At
the same time, when you trade Darius getting to me,
I'm like, yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
I need Keegan Murray, I need I need.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Sacrad One wants to keep the young people. The young
people like you can't. He gotta win one and win now.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
You can't have my bona fide All Star point guard.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
Right if that's an All Star Right there, there's Garlands
that he's an All Star.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Can't do it.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
This is but he's not perennial like you said. He
wasn't guarding and not disrespecting him. He said Burton, he's
All Star. Your ladies is not Garland. The main two
All Stars are Evan and don and Garland he makes
it in because of their record. They're not in that record.
He made it twice. He's not like he's only been
in five second.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Garland is just not that good.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
I'm not saying that. I'm just saying they just you
got to pick one to keep you got. You're keeping
Darius of Donovan probably, so you trade Donovan to be
honest really, Yeah, he's younger, he's more distributed.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Oh are you training Donovan, No, I'm not trying.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
I'm I'm down to Donovan Mitchell like it was one.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Of the top. He's one of the top guards in
the league.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
I get that, like and I think in a vacuum,
like he gets buckets. But like, honestly, when Donovan Mitchell
is not scoring, he's not helping you. He's your leader,
Like he's one lane to.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Me again, so what if Darius is not scoring? What
is he doing?

Speaker 2 (30:16):
He's a way better passer, set people up, like, he's
a way better distributor, you know what I'm saying. Like
Diamond Mitchell that's always been as buggable to me. He's
a tunnel vision guy. Like when he's not getting his buckets, he's.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
He's always getting. He's always getting a.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
Little bit better than I like them both, but I'm
gonna go down. He's more of a leader, he's more consistent,
he's has more experience.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
I'm not trading either one of them for Damar DeRozan
no company package, okay, and the package then maybe Russ
you know what I'm saying, Like, whoever you get is
on a cheap deal.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
You can get Russ and Tomorrow the same time, have
a little thought the bench. Obviously it's only for the
one year because you only got them for two years.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
Maybe.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Yeah, those guys you just mentioned, none of them are
postseason players to me, Like, they're not guys who have
had big postseason success and forever.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
I'll let you take this one talking about here, talking
about Tomorrow, Russ.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
The war Russ, these guys cooking the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
Yeah, Rustling has some big playoffs, like when he had
when he had Paul Georgia Mellow that year.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Lost year did he Yeah, not on the team anymore.
He played so well?

Speaker 4 (31:33):
They one of them.

Speaker 5 (31:34):
I mean, they've just never been They never been deep
in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
As the guy, Yeah, they beat the Clippers. Broo, he
was in three. He's like forty something from three in
that series. Bro look at the Scottborn looking games he
had in the playoffs with them. Bro, He's forget.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
How quickly Russ is at the end of his career.
I'm not trying to denegrate career.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
For the team.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Like the day before the season star, if he so contributed,
people would have been wanting them in their buildings.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Then I'm saying winners, any winner could have.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Had a throwing with a Damar thing. That's the package
you can got your guys. I'm not saying training just
for us, training for Damar and Russ and some other pieces.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
We got garage Paul on the phone man because they
violating his clients out here.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Guard, do y'all think bigging the whole? It's crazy. My
credit is not enough credit for the guys that give
credit to which is crazy. How the top seven point guard? Yo,
he's not you hate how top seven? I said that
said if I'm going to keep so, he is all star.

(32:48):
But when we talked about Pascal, he said he's not perennial.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
No, he's not perennial.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Darres was in the same conversation.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
When he plays, he's an all star. I think what
he plays, he's.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
The same conversation as he's not.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
He's a little more bro.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
He's the third off, like he doesn't make it. If
they're not a good record, it's Don and Evan.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
They have a great record, they don't have it this year.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
They're not doing it.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Has been.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
Still thinking.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
That's an easy easy right now now because he's healthy.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
Even before it's an easy decision. You know you still
got Jayalen Bronson. There's a lot of point guards in
the in the East.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Is he not a top five point guard in.

Speaker 5 (33:31):
The East, Darius, let's go through all right, So Bronson, Maxie,
bro Brunton.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
And Maxie we're talking about healthy Haliburton, healthy Halburton.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
And then Darius is right, absolutely not, absolutely damn crazy
Darius Garland crazy?

Speaker 4 (33:54):
What's going on right now?

Speaker 3 (33:55):
I respect it's crazy. I just suspect.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Yo, like right now over there.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Numbers. Yeah, he's been doing and he's also proven in
the play He's.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
Had some memorable playoff games.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
People hate playing with the guy like as a point guard.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
People hated playing with Jordan's.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Jordan example.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
It doesn't it does not matter, does it not?

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Mad?

Speaker 2 (34:30):
No?

Speaker 3 (34:31):
And what I mean by that people in the Eastern
Conference Finals.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
People are elevated when Trey is out. Have you seen
this team since he's been the lineup?

Speaker 3 (34:39):
They went to the Eastern Conference Finals. He brought John
Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
And we brought John Conmason the Eastern Confers.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Dragon Copella. They get us to do that, they beat us.
Feeling got it?

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Darius Garland is barely the top in the East.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Parents. I didn't see that.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Look in the top five of mellow ball hell.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
I got Darius. I got there.

Speaker 5 (35:03):
Ahead of him right now till he starts showing me
some serious about But talent wise is more talented?

Speaker 1 (35:08):
You gotta be.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
You gotta take your job more serious than the mellow
does to be considered.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
But so we have we have Brunson, Yeah, Maxie, Maxie Haliber,
Donovan Mitchell a point guard.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
He's not a point guard. He's a shooting guard.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
And any other team he's a point guard. He's only
that's a problem for you. He's only only a point
guard because he's playing with Darius. When voted in the
all start voting, what is he voted as, damn bro
not a shooting guard because.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
It's just guard.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
He is not a top five point guard. We just
went through him, Darius Garland because we just threw Kateen there.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
That's four.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
No, we had Donovan, we had John Is.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Okay, we just we just who's the best shooting guard.
And when Donovan is voted in to the Donovan was
in the shooting guard common.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
He can voted as a shooting guard.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Now making off shooting guard does it. He's a shooting
guard because he don't pass the ball.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
That's a lot of point guards. What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Pass? Not a set up guy.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
And he's a point guard though if he didn't play
with Darris, he'd be a point guard any other team.
He's a point guard.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Bro, I would say Donovan mit elevated because he got
Darius Garland.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
That's the point guard.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
The same role as he plays with the ball to
a Mitchell brings the ball up, but that she has
a point guard. But he leads a team. Donald Mitchell
is a point guard, don't.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
I don't. I don't think. I think you want to
see him as a.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
Point passed the ball, but Donald Mitchell does not.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
He doesn't. Bro, That's never been his strength. Mm hmm,
even in Utah.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
Mike Conley next.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Yeah, so, so Daris is in the top.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Long story short the Martin ros is on the trade block.
Danny Green is shipping out Darius.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
I didn't say that because crazy. I didn't say this
is this is wild. First of all, I said the
clipper is probably a better landing spot for him anywhere
if you look at we looked at other teams got.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
To send the old guy to a contender.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Again, who is going to take him right now? As
a contention said, He said Milwaukee, he could probably Halake.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
He can help Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Yeah, they probably help Houston too with their ball handling
and stuff like that.

Speaker 5 (37:34):
No, no, he gonna. I don't need them in Houston. No,
I like Milwaukee. I like Orlando for him, they.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Need Orlando Milwaukee probably.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
So let's get into our favorite time of the night.
That's Picks of the Night, presented by Prize Picks. We
got a nice you know that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Maybe like made me seem like I don't like a
guy played with the spending narrative is crazy Green Tyrese
Haliver trying to sabotage my takes.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
He's garding.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
You're trying to sabotage my takes. It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
James Harden more or less than twenty eight and a
half against his old teammates.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
Were they playing at in Philly?

Speaker 5 (38:16):
In Philly, back to back, tough loss in Boston. I'm
going with the under.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
Yeah, with the least the less, I'll go with the less.
I want the way less. They need him to score.
They have nobody to shoot. It's tough. I'm going less,
think about it, quiets out, Bradley bills out. They have
no normal palths not there anymore.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
Back you gotta guard Maxie v J and he he,
he's gonna get remaxed on them.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
They're gonna they're gonna get the screen switch.

Speaker 4 (38:42):
Man, it's gonna be a tiring night.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Yeah, how much night? You know I'm there. I'm gonna
I'm gonna take the more because he only shooting, he shoots.
He has to shoot it every time, going less.

Speaker 5 (38:53):
Tyrese Maxie Sunday night in Philly, we all know what's
going on.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
Philly. Ain't going away. He ain't going to couple. He
ain't going nowhere in Philly. Bro a couple of going
on to Philly. He's gonna get more. I'm going more,
twenty and a half. I'm going more. He has to
score more, just for them unless they get blown out.
And they said everybody, which might happen if they're in
a decent game. Then losing the Boston night, they're gonna
come out with a different.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
Might rest in that gas back to bag.

Speaker 3 (39:20):
Yeah, I'm gonna say more, though, I'm gonna say I'm.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Gonna go less, all right, tyres MAAXI more or less
than thirty and a half.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
We already know what I mean. We should all be
in the same page for this one.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
I'm going less.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
I'm going more.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
Really, I'm going less.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
I'm gonna go more.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
I'm going more.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
More is less, I'm less. Everybody's less, all right?

Speaker 1 (39:37):
If he's a Zubac more or less than sixteen and
a half, Oh.

Speaker 4 (39:42):
We're gonna get sixteen. I just don't. I'm gonna go
more seventeen.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
You know.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
He's gonna get sixteen.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
I don't know if you guaranteed sixteen, guaranteed sixteen seven,
that's seventeen.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
Joe's gonna play.

Speaker 4 (39:58):
I'll go less.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
I'm gonna go more because I feel like inside he
could he could be. He can do some damage with more.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
For Zoom, I'm gonna go more for zube And lastly,
John Collins more or less.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Than fifteen and a half, I'm going less. Yeah, me too, less.
He's been so up and down this PG.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Coming back and hold on PG.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Back, PG back. Yeah, Paul George.

Speaker 4 (40:18):
Is gonna go less on John Collins.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Too, and the honor of Paul George coming back, we
can do one more give out one Paul George more
or less than twelve and a half points in his
which would be his debut.

Speaker 4 (40:32):
I'm gonna go less.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
I'm gonna go more less. I think they're gonna I
think they're gonna try to probably.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
Minutes be taking it easy, but I still.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
Think they're gonna feed. They're gonna try to like make
him feel act like Tyree's gonna be like, yo pee,
let's you know what I'm saying, Let's go you know
what I'm saying. So, they gonna they're gonna get him
some shots il he'll play like maybe eight to ten
minutes A Hals.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
Is gonna be getting heavy.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
He's gonna get the shots up though.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Danny's Danny.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
I think that first game back, it's the drilling your legs.

Speaker 5 (41:00):
Man.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
You're gonna get at least six free throws.

Speaker 4 (41:01):
I think I think you get your ball eleven.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
Yeah, I'm going less than twelve and a half. For
podcast P so I picture the Knights Present.

Speaker 4 (41:13):
Playoff podcast.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Oh man, all right, so we got to get into
some just just more troubling stuff coming out of Memphis
with Therizzlies troubling. Obviously, they had the whole blow up
with John Morant and the coach early in the season.
We covered that extensively here, and just the other day,
John Morant took himself out of a game with some

(41:42):
kind of some kind of injury calf, calf strain. He
is averaging, yeah, he said, he said he was hurt.
He's averaging eighteen point nine points three and three point
seven rebounds point when it sis per game. He's shooting

(42:02):
thirty five percent from the field overall and sixteen point.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
Seven percent three. That's that's a career low.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
That's he's twenty six years old and he's having the
worst season of his life.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
He's not happy there.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
Yeah, he's not happy again. I'm not looking at the production.
I'm looking at the energy. Yeah, his mannerisms, he don't
look like himself now. The three point the three point
shot percentage is alarming because that was happening before the
issues was going down thirty five from from two. That
could have went up or down. I think the last
couple of games really hurt that because he just kind

(42:43):
of bought in. But yeah, his numbers are just down
because his minutes are down. He's not cool with the
system they got going on He obviously expressed that to
the coach and company teammates in the locker room.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
Who can use them he need out of Memphis?

Speaker 3 (42:59):
I'm sorry, I mean anybody he use a supert like,
so we talk about.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
Where does he fit? Like I got a spot for him.
I got a personal Nope, Toronto. So yeah, yeah, yeah, Toronto.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
But if you trade machine, I think I did that Toronto.
I did, remember how I did it.

Speaker 5 (43:23):
But my money matter out of America, the Grizzly out
of America.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
Grizzlies.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
But you know that city though, Yeah, she's gonna be
It's gonna be a lot for him.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
Who's got a rich deal and from the Grizzlies. I'm like, bro,
I'm not signing up to pay.

Speaker 3 (43:47):
So this is the trade that I did, r J.
Barrett trade that was successful. It was John MORANCK and
k C P for quick and R J.

Speaker 4 (43:53):
Barrett.

Speaker 3 (43:55):
Yeah, it gives Toronto from shooting and a point guard
and young players Memphis young you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (44:01):
They can rock with them three Brandon ingram Job, Scottie
Barnes as they as they.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
Foundation from Memphis.

Speaker 3 (44:07):
Bro, I'm not trading Josh Win win right, that's a
solid trade, right.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
It's not a win win for Memphis.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
You need to score win, yes, first of all, Wise
it's not and you get picks obviously with with with
the with job, you're gonna get some picks.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
Is got a really rich contract that he's not as
rich as jobs? No it's not, but like he's getting
paid about the man quickly?

Speaker 5 (44:36):
Okay, the Moneys match up. Man, Look, these dudes is balling,
by the way, give.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
Give you said the season, and I thought they would.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
And also I think people always under underestimate the economics
of NBA basketball, where like this dude literally does sell
tickets to Memphis, and the.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
Second like they have to think about money.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
They have to think about winning to because winning will
sell tickets. Ain't much really going on.

Speaker 4 (45:02):
I hear that, bro, But like you, I really.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
Think they're gonna you get some guys that actually can
buy in and play r J Barrett Emanuel quickly you
put J Jackson Junior second power, Like what.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
I'm saying is John something you can sell?

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Like, actually I understand and they like these like the
same reason that the Dame deal took so long to
happen when it was so obvious he wanted to be
gone and that the franchise was going in a different
direction in terms of rebuild.

Speaker 1 (45:30):
They were just like, bro, like.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
We're gonna take a hit at the gate. That's why
they took so long to do this. That they were
hesitant because like the economics market matters, Like I agree
with you, so you can't you got it.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
I think you should move them.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
Yeah, you can't keep a guy that's not be there,
that's not how own. Then you see James Harden or
Ben Simmons or Kawhi Lendon situation where guys sitting down like, yo,
I'm not playing to your trip. You don't want that.

Speaker 4 (45:58):
You don't want that.

Speaker 3 (45:59):
You know want want that lo the money and tickets.

Speaker 1 (46:02):
At that point, it looks like it's not gonna be that.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
That that trade works. It's sixty million for sixty one million.

Speaker 4 (46:09):
Yeah, between that's coming right there. That's the job.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
And then you also got to send like obviously Whistlam
is gonna want picks and return. Memphis gonna want some
some first rounds.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
They want some, You get some.

Speaker 4 (46:20):
I want to go.

Speaker 5 (46:22):
If you can get into this draft right here, you
can get to this lottery draft coming up that's that's
a win win for both.

Speaker 3 (46:27):
Get you a boozer or somebody.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
I don't know if I'm a if I'm a Memphis
Grizzlies fan and they're telling me like, yeah, your job Morant,
the guy who's brought you all.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
This joy I know.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
But what I'm saying is like the data trade happens
if you're a Grizzlies fan and it's like R. J.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Barrett and Manual quickly. Really, that's what the franchise.

Speaker 3 (46:52):
And lottery picks.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
No, I'm listen.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
I believe you gotta move job Morant, for sure. I
just think that's a tough one to pull. Triggering to
sell to a fan.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
It does suck, But he's forcing you have no more.
What's the levers he's forcing this. He's got a leverage, bro,
You have nothing. Your best better to try to get
as much you can back. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
No, I'm completely with you, But we've seen franchises be
very stubborn. Just you know, think about you around with
the Spurs with the Kawhi thing. They got themar DeRozan
for him.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
They got picks. They got yack up at tomorrow. So
me and Kuhi together and they got yack up in tomorrow,
and I think they got some picks in that return.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Like really, the guy was basically an m v P
level of player.

Speaker 3 (47:39):
I mean they got guys in return tomorrow. Ain't no slouch,
I'm not. It was Jack. There's guys that they still
they won some games, they were still in the playoffs,
LaMarcus like they played well with.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
That, but like you traded away a perennial m VP candidate,
you know.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
I don't want to be there. What else can you do?
Going to hold them hostage? Not today?

Speaker 2 (47:59):
And then they it was when the candidate was a
fight trade admit that.

Speaker 3 (48:03):
Then I send them to one of the right that
either way, it worked out for him and it worked
out for the team that said, I know you want
to go to l A.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
No, I'm not.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
Four times a year. What GM is smart enough to
send you to the team.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
This is San Antonio's job to I'm not get the
best in your turn for sure.

Speaker 3 (48:24):
So that's what Memphis needs to do. Man, if you
can get what other better deal you think you can match,
where you get some youth and some picks from Toronto,
because you know Toronto got, they got they have, They
have a.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
Decent amount of their own picks to give away.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
We'll see Memphis, Memphis fans, Sorry, you're in a horrible position.
Your team is crappy, and you're gonna let go of
one of the basically the best player in the history
of your franchise.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
So damn that's crazy. Yeah, really yeah, the history of
the franchise.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Yeah, yeah, right now, would you give it to Alcatsol,
z Bo Marcar one of them?

Speaker 4 (49:02):
Right now?

Speaker 1 (49:03):
They have both both Gasols were better than John Marine.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
Mark with there longer they they went to.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
Eastern they certainly had more success, more.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Success with the ground. You know that that team.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
Mike, I mean it's their most exciting player.

Speaker 3 (49:18):
Yeah, he's the most exciting player.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
I mean yeah, the guys that were m VP level
guys like nobody would look like three years ago, this
guy was finishing in the top five.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
In the m v P. Yeah, and now Marc seven
to sixteen percent.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Yeah, Mike, But Mirk Mircosol was I feel like in
the voting, definitely he won player.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
He was.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
He was an All NBA first and second team and
he was on the say top five one point.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
But it's tough. Sorry Memphis.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
Uh in better news the nasty boy Pistons man.

Speaker 3 (49:49):
That was a big win. Bro. I don't know if
you've seen that win. They be Philly. Yeah, I picked
and everybody sat, their whole team sit. They sat everybody again, Bro,
I'm like, how do you feel that's a bad loss?

Speaker 1 (50:00):
They're number one in the East? Uh?

Speaker 4 (50:03):
Are they for real?

Speaker 3 (50:04):
That's the eleven to two.

Speaker 4 (50:07):
Saying they are the threat?

Speaker 3 (50:09):
And I thought they were actually trying to lose a game.
Just to know what I'm saying, Like, they just sat,
guys like they didn't mind losing a game.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
It's muted on the on the actually.

Speaker 3 (50:16):
But they they sat k they sat jail.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
And you see them at the bottom of the picture.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
Came back back to buy it. Sat down. Yeah, Jimmy Newtrump.
But leading away you said.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
Dogs and they you are one of them showed out
there today? Are you?

Speaker 2 (50:35):
And and how many of them like you are there
on this team?

Speaker 3 (50:39):
We all nasty? That's us a bunch of much.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
You don't want no money? How do you like much?
We were nasty and what we are?

Speaker 4 (50:51):
So so you guys obviously embrace it. Were what there?

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Could you too?

Speaker 3 (51:02):
Good?

Speaker 2 (51:04):
Nine wins in a row like you said that, winning Philly,
sitting most of their biggest guys.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
Absolutely, absolutely, they have to.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
You know how wide open the East is.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
I think you can.

Speaker 4 (51:18):
They get to the conference finals.

Speaker 3 (51:19):
I think they get number one seed. They're playing the
playing team.

Speaker 1 (51:24):
Yes, New York, I think they can.

Speaker 3 (51:27):
New York series last year was almost they could have
been even better series. They don't call it. They call
that foul for Tim Harrow in the corner. That might
be a different series. That might be a seven game series.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
They can be anybody.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
It was a foul.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (51:39):
No, you don't know about call in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (51:42):
No, I don't get that call. The player you get
that call.

Speaker 5 (51:46):
Nobody's getting that, bro at the end of the game.
You don't want to end of the game that signed
my You don't.

Speaker 3 (51:51):
But we've seen it happen before series now. It was
just like it was Game three. It was a Game
three that was Game three or Game four. Made a
would have shifted, would have shifted it, they wouldn't. They
won the series.

Speaker 1 (52:04):
Won this series by totally like eight points.

Speaker 3 (52:06):
Yeah, series right, it would have won seven games. I
don't think they would have won it, but it would win.

Speaker 2 (52:11):
Seven games, and so you know, the question is like,
are they can they end up with the number one
seed in the East.

Speaker 3 (52:19):
I think, yes, Yeah, I think they can.

Speaker 1 (52:21):
They can. They're young, and they're hungry because of.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
And I think you gotta like the way Orlando has
stumbled out the gates. Uh just just lost to Houston
again after a big win against the Knicks. The way
you know, Cleveland has just been so up and down.
I don't see how you can look at what these
guys are doing and not say that they have every

(52:50):
right to feel like they can go to the finals
this year.

Speaker 3 (52:54):
Damn, I think I.

Speaker 4 (52:56):
Think the conference finals is their ceiling.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
I don't think so. I think these guys have a shot.

Speaker 4 (53:04):
They can get to the congres finals, or they can
lose in the first round.

Speaker 1 (53:08):
I don't think so much.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
Get somebody like Atlanta at the first round.

Speaker 3 (53:14):
You know what I'm saying, Nah, I still don't see
it happening, you know. You know what I'm saying going
back to what the next line is about coaching exactly,
And I don't know if I believe in the coaching
staff that much to be able to, like, for sure
say they can beat these teams that is.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
A fair assessment. I think JB.

Speaker 2 (53:34):
Bickerstaff is definitely the kind of guy that gets a
young team sort of off of the floor.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
But going, yeah, but do we think he's the highest
level of NBA coaching.

Speaker 4 (53:44):
He's a good coach, he just ain't really.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
We don't.

Speaker 5 (53:49):
We still have you have to see as a young coach. Yeah,
but that's what I'm saying. They can They can get
to the Conerce final or lose the first round. You
know what I'm saying. They not like a team that
I know. But I know that Nick, sorry, gonna.

Speaker 4 (54:00):
At least get to the second round, at least, like
I can guarantee that.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
What was the question? JB is good enough to do? What? Now?

Speaker 1 (54:07):
I mean, I don't know that JB. I would necessarily
be the reason.

Speaker 4 (54:12):
Can they beat the Celtics in the first round?

Speaker 1 (54:15):
Yeah, they could beat this the reason.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
They have a team to do it, They have the
talent to do it.

Speaker 4 (54:23):
They could beat in the first round.

Speaker 3 (54:26):
They get it goes back to the coaching exactly. And
I don't know. I'm not I'm not I'm not rolling it.
I'm not believing in it. I'm not going to come
down to it. Justice exactly the same, and I played
for him, so I know I believe in the talent exactly.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
I do believe in the talent in the way that
it's distributed throughout the roster. And I just love, like
I said, like that these guys.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
Have an identity and yeah, Kay Cunningham, that's basically what
you're saying.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
Yes, I believe.

Speaker 3 (54:55):
I believe in the talent more so so I think.
But again, when it comes down to they get a
match up, the.

Speaker 5 (55:00):
The match up, that's not that's like looking adjustment down.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (55:06):
Like again, I'm not that confident.

Speaker 5 (55:08):
They can lose to Boston in the first round. If
Boston gets into the playing, they can lose to Boston.

Speaker 1 (55:13):
Because Troy, I believe in you guys.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
Man.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
We got some skeptics up here, but.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
No, I'm just the young team. Still they going there,
They're trending up and JB.

Speaker 3 (55:23):
I'm not an injury, Okay, don't. I'm not a trust
he played with him. I was there in Cleveland. Yeah,
before they let him go. Copy, I've seen it.

Speaker 1 (55:32):
He was there for the dark days that led to
the dismissed.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
They were good. They were good at the time. Yeah,
but they had a good season.

Speaker 1 (55:40):
But yeah, it looks to the four five match.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
That's what I was there for. That got you right,
And we didn't just lose, We got smoked for the
one I don't mind. Yeah, exactly, So we should have
won at least two or three.

Speaker 1 (55:51):
That was gross home court advantage. Yeah, that'll eave a
nasty taste in your mouth for sure.

Speaker 4 (55:58):
WHOA, that was crazy.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
It would be cool Jesus cool to rank in the
n b A. This is no fouls giving guys.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
Right there, no no fouls dollars man the best du
NBA right now.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
That's duos in the n b A right now. When
being Fox, they're still developing. I think, Yo, get Chim Murray.
Who like, especially when you get into the playoffs, like
that two man game is like so fucking automated.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
It's so crazy machine.

Speaker 2 (56:53):
It's it's like they have a mind meld, you know
what I mean, It's like one brain working.

Speaker 3 (56:57):
They know each other very well, so well've been together.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
I love what I'm seeing out of Kadie and Shngon
in terms of their shared responsibility on offense of like
them both realizing, like this team only scores when we
do the work, you know, and then like that's come
together really quickly and there's a mutual respect there that
I'm really into seeing.

Speaker 1 (57:20):
Uh Luca and Austin Reeves. We just gonna leave out
right now.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
Maxi and Embiid, by the way, have a similar dynamic
that Yokichen and Murray have in terms of their two
man game. They have an incredible chemistry when they're doing
their d h O stuff and pick and roll picking pop.
It's it's really awesome to watch them work together. Julius
Randall and Anthony Edwards s g A and I wouldn't

(57:56):
say chat, I would I would say j dub But
I love Chad Spider in Garland or spiding Evan Mobley
Brunting and cat Cade and Jalen Durant want to take
Garland out. No, I said you could do either one.
I'm saying that interchangeable in terms.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
Of just starn this guy becaus I'm the Garland guys,
so never don't take about leave been there.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
I'm the one who in Clutch we trust on this show.

Speaker 1 (58:30):
Bro, I would love I mean to me man In terms.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
Of Brunting and cat Cad and Durant.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
Brunting and cat Cade and Durant, those two you are
the two best.

Speaker 3 (58:45):
No, we're just finished off the Yeah, that's that's the
two last give us give your top three. I guess
to me to know.

Speaker 2 (58:51):
One is Murray and Jokic because of what I've seen
them do in the playoffs and oceans. They're champions and
like they do the ship in the clutch, you know,
last five minutes of the game, like you know, they're
gonna reliably generate good offense, right yeah, and that's against
the best defenses in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
I'm taking them number one.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
Also, then my number one, number.

Speaker 4 (59:13):
Two man number two, so a.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
Healthy Embid and Maxie would probably be my number.

Speaker 3 (59:21):
I got them, that's my that's my one.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Watching those guys work together, like I said, it's like
the definition of what like a duo is.

Speaker 1 (59:30):
They work in tandem.

Speaker 2 (59:31):
It's not just like you know, remember how people used
to complain about Jen Uh Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown.

Speaker 1 (59:40):
It's like they don't play together. It's like one guys
doing on one side. But they figured that out.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
No, yeah, but they play the wing position, so like
you so it's a little hard.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
Whereas these guys, Maxie and Embiid and Yokichen Murray like
they play as a tandem, like their strengths amplify each other.

Speaker 5 (59:57):
This is I'm looking at this list. This is so
that's respectful. No Boston guys on there, but like we
don't have Curry.

Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
Who's the second guy, Jimmy Jimmy or is it it's
Curry Jimmy Buckets is the crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
That's a duel and they do. They do work in
tandem a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
But again it's like a system. But because Jimmy is
not always your second score, sometimes comingas sometimes Pazimski Draymond
is a lot of times to point forward. So Jimmy
does add great value to Jimmy.

Speaker 4 (01:00:33):
Is the guy.

Speaker 5 (01:00:35):
Twitt put them on the Danny But for me, the
second best duel, and this might be the best duel
come the end of the year, will be Winby and Fox.

Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
Of them the.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
Sac the league.

Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
They better pray your better. They're still working out the kinks.

Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
But they're giving you can.

Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
See the like makings of like that pick and roll game. Yeah,
you see the potential very early on that.

Speaker 4 (01:01:03):
I think that got the highest potential out of everybody else.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
I think they play games is something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
That's your top three. The top three is Murray.

Speaker 5 (01:01:12):
Kus, Murray Winby and Fox and then I gotta go
with I'm gonna go with like Luca and whoever you
want to put with Luca.

Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
You gotta.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
I think that's yeah. I think that's my last one.
Luca and Lebron, Luca and the Goat is my last.

Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
I'm going Murray, Joel and Tyres at two.

Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
I'm gonna go damn no love for the m v P.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
I'm going uh.

Speaker 4 (01:01:40):
In disrespect, I know.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Because I mean, not here right now, we haven't seen that.
I'm going Caden Duran right now they are, and I'm
got Luca R right outside. I got Luca and a
R right now and Kate Duran like at the three spot.

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
Because because this plays better every time he's not cork.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
Yeah. Yeah, they don't have that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
They they have no connection.

Speaker 3 (01:02:04):
Last year was better. This year has been kind of
like and last year Cats like his.

Speaker 4 (01:02:09):
Moods, can't do his own thing and they don't really
work well off.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Kat came alive.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
Against Mia and Randel though a solid solid one, But
I just don't have my top five. Katie and Sangling
is nice too, but Wemby, Wenby and Fox definitely have
them right outside of my top three because they have
the most potential. I just haven't seen enough of it yet.
But at three is definitely Kayden During and the right there,
Luke and Are Like those two are three for me.
Like they're really good.

Speaker 1 (01:02:34):
Love it man.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
