Speaker 1 (00:25):
What's up, y'all?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Welcome back to the latest edition of No Fouls Given
of course your coles Big Wise, joined as always by
Danny Green Paul Pierce. We got another dope show on
the horizon for you guys. Let's get right into it.
We wanted to do things a little bit different this
episode and start with some fan questions and producer Chris

(00:48):
is just an amazing curator of questions.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
But let's listen.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
First one we're gonna throw at you, Paul from My
Man Poet AC nine five eighty six.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
What's up.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
For Paul?

Speaker 2 (01:02):
You guarded both Bron and Kobe at the peaks.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Of both of their careers. Who was harder for you
to defend.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
At the peak of their superpowers?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:12):
For sure? They both won the m v P.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, you played Lebron in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
But year, Yeah, I played the blind in the playoffs?
Is if man? I played Lebron way more times? But
like way like yeah in the East, like four times
a year, playoffs every year. But Kobe just kept pressure
on you every single like I'll never forget the game.
He took forty one shots harder the guard.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
That's unreal and individual.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
You gotta go.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Every time I think he shot.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
It's only about eighty each team guess about eighty shots forty.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
One shots on me in Boston one year and I
was just like, this is unreal every time now talk
about the pressure. And I remember coming back to the
time out, I think he scored like ten straight on me. Right,
so we like, you know, they like looking around like
who got Kobe? Right? I was just like, I got it.
You have to yell at everybody like I got him,

(02:15):
like shut up, like you know what I'm saying, like
looking at him because he like straight, And I was
like god, god, God, damn it. Oh man, it was
crazy though. He just puts more pressure.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I love that just has an idea that just like
individually is a defender. If you know, this guy is
gonna try to fucking score you man, and he's really
good at it, it's a tremendous amount of pressure. I
like this question, what's your all time favorite meal? We
get you, Paul, I.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Mean I don't.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
I don't have like a favorite anything. Usually it's hard
for me to pick one. Things like that much more
than anything else. I was a big breakfast guy. Got
you like for shoot around? I always did to cut
it back into benedict. I was a pancake French like
waffle type like okay with the scrambled eggs and bacon.
But I said, I've cut down old and like I

(03:11):
would say, like nighttime or before after games, I would
try to load up on carbs, either get some Italian
or something usually like that category. But I wasn't a
picky eater, got you, But yeah, I was more of
a breakfast and more of like an Italian guy when
it came.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
But I think they might mean, like, what's your favorite dish?
I don't have one, You don't have one?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
What about you my all time favorite dishes? For show,
I'm gonna get the salmon blackened okay with the baked potato,
with the cheese and sour cream loaded up and some
like broccolini got load. That was my pre game meal
every game.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
That's the dope.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
That was my pre game.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
That was the thing, like people stuck to like I
ate that before every game. But it was a thing
for most people back then, and we didn't also have
a bunch of variety of a bunch of great stuff.
But now that the league is chefs, you can order
what you want, have to shoot around my rookie.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Contract, it was more like Boston Market. And then when
I got the deal, let's get that chef and make that.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Was good that people don't go to anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
The Boston Market definitely was was always a favorite. Was
my favorite meal? Is is Jamaican oxtail?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
About that?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
If you make the right Jamaican oxtail, Like, I've got
a spot for you out here.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Actually you don't need.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
That, because I don't. I only eat Jamaican food when
I go back to New York.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
What actually happens some great Jamaican food, but you take
and give safety.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
In your own hands.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I don't know that. I forget the name of the
one spot that I went to, but it it was
very good.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
It was that little shopping center, yes, yes, right there, Yes, yes,
it was like yes, a little mini like type of
many like the three shops there.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yeah, yelled Joe's Joel's.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
It was authentic, Yeah, hungry Joe's in Inglewood.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
And it was a line that right by Party City
or something like that.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
No, it's right there on like Lebrea and Sentinel or something, and.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
It's Jamaicans in there.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Okay, what's what's the other spot?

Speaker 4 (05:27):
That's my that's my You gotta go there beef.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Jamaican food when I go back to Back East Chinese
food because it's different in the Chinese.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, I go back home. It's like I gotta give
me beef patty with some coc But.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
That's definitely I know all my hate people gonna be
mad at me, but like that's.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
My favorite Inglewood with the cabbage. God. Yeah, steam vegetables.
That's something for me too.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Next question that we got, uh should the Mavericks we get?

Speaker 1 (06:00):
And we got this from that's my uncle Darryl g
that's your uncle.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, Dar Darryl Green shouts to Dark Green out here
shouts to uncle Darryl un should the.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Mad who one of these bigs? Should the MAVs be
trying to get off of right now?

Speaker 5 (06:17):
I Mean we talked about it last episode and I've
been talking about it throughout the week, like it's time
for them to like the fan of me wants to
see them whole unhealthy, but the GM and me is
like it's time to make moves like blow it up.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
And that's not just that's a d kyrie.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
You're picking till twenty thirty one.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
The only big that I'm keeping, really, Lively is still young.
He's with Cooper Flag, even Gafford. I don't know how
young is, but gaffind PJ. Washington solid but said everybody
else but Lively is only big that I'm considering. Like,
if I'm starting over, I'm keeping Lively in Cooper Flag.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
But just re signed Gafford.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
You just signed PJ too.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Oh yeah, you just signed resigned PJ. I mean, obviously
the obvious choice is a D for.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Show because he's the most valuable.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Yeah, the most value, and he don't fit like with
the timeline if they're not gonna be winning now, yes,
so start with him and then see what you're getting,
then figured out from.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
There, who's the next big start to get traded? Well, yeah,
I think.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
A D like please freedom man, like, let him go
to a team that's actually trying to accomplish something right now.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
But I mean, the reason they're not complishing is because
he hasn't been I know, I.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Know it's tough, and he's he's dealt with this throughout
his career. Just availability, but yeah, I think I think
I think you should be trying to get rid of
PJ and he's uh, well Gafford, Yeah, and a D
because I think another thing is Cooper Flag is out
of position. I think he's a four, like they're forcing
him to try to be some kind of winging three.

(07:52):
Today's doesn't speak to me like they can.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Play point forward, but I don't need to play point
guard the whole time.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
That's what I'm saying. I don't think he should handling
the ball as much as he has.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
So could he be Jalen Johnson is basically the question, That's.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
What I'm saying. To me, he's more of a who's
more of a four?

Speaker 3 (08:08):
You know, he plays point forward?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
He had, he he gets his It's not that he
shouldn't get opportunities to create and you know, run offense through,
but like he can't be the primary person that you're.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Doing that I feel, you know what I'm saying. So
that's what I.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah, so I think they need to get rid of
everybody that isn't Lively the next who's the next superstar
that's going to be traded?

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Know that? That's so.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
John Moran is on the clock.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Definitely, Yeah, it's definitely.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I don't think I think bookers, they're both committed to
the Booker thing, both him and the team.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Uh good one. I think it's I think it's Jos
the obvious, maybe Zion Zion if we're even calling him
a star anymore, Like damn sure hasn't put it on
the court.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
I mean, I mean, who else is in the conversation
that that could be a d is one? You know,
people have been talking about the whole Lebron situation like
because ar has been playing, but.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Right Young, that's definitely. I mean, Trey Young will move
before Joah. To be honest, I think because I think
Atlanta the organization is actually done with Trey Young and
because about the fact that they didn't.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Want to pay him and they're winning, you know.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
So whereas like with Memphis, as we talked about last episode,
I don't think management is there yet. You know, maybe
they should be, but I don't think that they're actually like, yo,
we need to get this guy out of here.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
So Trey Young is probably the answer.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
LaMelo Ball.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
LaMelo Ball isn't bro like they at the end of
last season, it was important media talks that they we're
open to talks, like they said that a couple of guys.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
Were forgetting about might be changing.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
He's already told his team that he's open.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
To it, but they've been playing well enough for him
to stay there right now. But he told family went
back to Greece, right, all three four kids he got,
They all.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Yeah, come on, He's saying, like, Milwaukee's not my permanent home.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
He sent his family to be wherever. Yeah, the family
checked out of store. I think the kids are going
to I think the kids are in the family. That
was the reports about a month ago they moved to Greece.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
That the message he's sending is like, yeah, this ain't
my permanent home.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Yeah, that's that's the right.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Like, oh, you guys always getting rid of giant, but like, bro,
this time it feels real.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
To be honest.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
When he moved the family back to the crib, his
crib crib, like yeah, I ain't calling this home no more.
So that could be another star that could Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:00):

Doctor Sloopy wants to know. And this is my personal
favorite question.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Is it NBA city got them?

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Don't with me?

Speaker 3 (12:40):
I don't be outside.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Outside, So you've never been outside of your career as
an NBA player.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
My teammates been outside. I don't engage in that conversation
the Thursday. This woman is a Los Angeles Really, I
would think I would think you would go to the
smaller markets that don't have as.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Much nobody looking for them.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
But they they don't see that. Imagine you went out
in Okay.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
See nah all had a.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Point here because more people professionalized out. Yeah, there's an
ecosystem built around I would know.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
It's it's a thing.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
So you don't think like you don't think girls can
be thirsty and in Memphis.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
You think there's a bunch of thirsty chicks in Memphis
or Portland.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
Yeah, I think like they don't see because I think
I think about I think about my days before I
was Like when I was in San Antonio, was a
small market.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
They loved this.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
All they knew was the Spurs because that we were
the only professional team there.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
We're we're women.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
At places you were socializing that reciting your stats and
your salary to you.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
People people like we couldn't go nowhere. It was very,
very hard to go anywhere and do anything. The video
courds take pictures and it was a gift case. We
loved our fans, but you couldn't do anything it because they.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
L a here.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
You you see celebrities all time. Also, they don't care.
You can't operate the way. You can't operate the same
way in San Antonio.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Like people women move to Los Angeles, they can try
to meet some type of star on any sports.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Would they do that at any game, like any game
in any city. No, you don't do that.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
People don't move to Salt Lake City to try to.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Meet I'm not saying. I'm saying people.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
You're going and move, but you have to have some
type of money to do that. Now there's people that
can't get out of their hood.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
They were going to go put themselves in the same night,
same positions they had. They can meet you.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
You're not about the city and tell us that San
Antonio has the thirsties.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
I just had small markets I would have I would
assume because he celebs that often.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Yeah, listen, making me look bad.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
I don't you.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Know what I mean, is he just told on hisself.
He wasn't like he was crazy already said before this stable, I.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Don't know he.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Slick jumping on thinking slick.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I didn't know. That's why you're.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Educated, in formed, just so we could move off of this.
Like I moved here eight years ago, and I was
not really familiar with the social life of Los Angeles.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Before I moved here.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Again, I don't know what I've seen.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
With my own two eyes. Brouh and I lived in
New York before that I seen. I thought I saw
a decent amount of ship out here.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Bro next level, it's next level.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
I don't be outside. That's why the places that I live,
I don't go out as much.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
By the way, Miami, another one, another one, but l
A got the crown.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
No, maybe it is Milwaukee into Salt Lakes that we
don't know because I wasn't outside.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
You said, I'm not informed.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
I'm not of those cities because I wasn't outside them city.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yeah, so when you when you would go play in Milwaukee,
you wouldn't socialize.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
In the room, you know, Danny know where the sponsors.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
I definitely did not go. That's why I said. You
said Philly. It ain't ship going on.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
The Philly brove is going on.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Only people going on. I would I would not, never not.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
I didn't go out to the cities I lived in,
going on the cities that I visited, but not in
the cities that I lived in.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Like that.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Goliah's in Philly. I think it's called Nah.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
They got they got a decent It's not they don't
got a delight, but they got a decent amount of
stuff to do. It's not as boring as all right,
we wanted to get you guys talk like you're your
draft experience. Because John Krasinski of the Athletic that's my man. Actually,

(17:27):
uh he reported that the Timberwolves were scared off of
drafting LaMelo Ball because in the pre draft process he
told him that one day he wanted to be president
of the United States of America.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
I mean, didn't.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Didn't Charlote have a higher pick than Minnesota anyway?

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Nah, I think Ant was the number one pick and
LaMelo was number three because the Warriors would I think
quite foolishly picked Wiseman over LaMelo.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
So LaMelo was the third picking in the draft.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
That's prett good men.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah, you know because I'm friends with a lot of
Warriors fans.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
LaMelo got Rookie of the Year over and did he not?

Speaker 1 (18:07):
I think so?

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Yeah, A lot of a lot of Warriors fans were
annoyed that Steve Kurve just felt like LaMelo wasn't a
Warriors type of player.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
But it's like the talent was so obvious.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
She wasn't.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
He probably wasn't, but like you want to take a trouble,
he wasn't. He probably wasn't.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
A Warriors Again, so he's a better pick than Wiseman.
But I still don't think he would have fit that
system either.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I think he's a I don't know. I think LaMelo
has enough feel for the game. I mean if he
would have played like within the structure of Golden State.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Looking at this lineup, it's like who was a better pick?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
I mean a lot of these guys. It's just a
tough one. Patrick Williams Hayes is not in the NBA anymore. Yeah,
Danny is killing now would have been a good pick.
Kevin Facell got a nice second deal. Hali Burton his
top eight or nine guard in the NBA.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
According to Day.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Keep trying to lower Smith.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Has made a nice career for himself, Cole Anthony, these
guys like there's a lot of solid rotational Oh, Maxis.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
That's because this is a COVID year. That's why playing
in the tournament.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
R J Hampton, i Q Painting Pritchard.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Yeah, Jamie strong.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Draft, it's just the brewing that top of the draft
with some of those picks. But yeah, you're right because
of the COVID year. But we wanted to ask you, guys,
do you have any memories of your pre draft process,
Like do you remember what these guys were asking you, Like,
what was the process? How many teams did you meet with?
You was a lottery picky? I met with five all

(19:48):
American But see, I met with the top five teams.
I was projected to.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Tell in the draft that was like part of your narrative.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Yeah, I was projected to go number two. All of
my drafts had me number two.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Two would have been the number.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
It was Vancouver and they picked Babby, they picked my baby,
and so I just interviewed and worked out for the
top five teams. It was like Clippers, Vancouver, I think Denver,
Toronto Warriors. It's the top five and then I just
slipped out of the top five, Like, damn, what's going on?

(20:21):
I didn't know what was going on.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
You never worked out for Boston.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
I never worked out for none of the teams, never
interviewed none of these teams. So after that, I was
just like, I didn't know where I was gonna go.
I thought I'd go to the number eight to Philly though,
because they needed another wing and Larry Brown is a
Kansas guy, so I thought when I slipped, I was
gonna let all right, maybe Larry Brown. So like, once
you get out of that process or the process, for me,
it was like, all right, since I didn't get chosen

(20:45):
the top five, I'm sitting there like I don't know
where I'm gonna get picked, you know. So now I'm clueless.
You know, my agent's making calls. We don't know what
the hell's going on. It's like, damn, where I'm gonna go.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
This is a hell of a draft too.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
I'm just like, damn.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Twe a lot of guys with great careers, Bibby, even
Rachel the Friends had a pretty good career.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Damn, Dirk, Dirk and back to back. That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
It's crazy to the teams that drafting the didn't end
up with these.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Guys plaid long careers man.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
But Noah. Yeah, So for me, Bro, I worked out
for like thirteen fourteen teams.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Bro, you worked out for thirteen.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
I was the second round.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
You were mocked for the second round.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
I was.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
I was mocked from late first at best. Yeah, but yeah,
second round.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
But like you played four years that you and I
did all four years, Bro, and we won a championship.

Speaker 5 (21:36):
So they don't show a lot of love to seniors.
I did all four years. You feel like you already
reached it. Pretend you lost and Tyler Hans Bro and
they all went Williams the coach, Roy Williams. Yeah we
have Roy are dub and then so yeah, ty was lottery.
I think Tyler snug in a lot of too. They
wasn't sure about Taler because he faced the college, but
they weren't shore.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Translate to the NBA.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
But you got it.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
You got in there. I think it was thirteen.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
And then I said, so Blake was in there. But
I also tested the water year before, so I've seen
the process.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Okay, got a little bit both.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Like I've seen some funny shit happening. We talked about
Tony Douglas here.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
He came in his draft like interviews with a suit,
business card, all type like he was ready to roll.
And also on the other side of it, I think.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
The year before, I think Mike Beasley might have been.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
The year before you picked Tyreek Avas, Ricky Rubio and
Johnny Flynn before Steph.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Yeah, whoa. I seemed to beat on number two.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Tough, tough, He's one of.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
The top big men at the time.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
Jef Curry and uh DeMar Derozo was at my basketball
camp and the year before that, I had a Nike
camp out in here and I had a chance to
see them.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Class was really good. We had a good class.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
This is a solid CLA.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
A lot of them placed in some years in the league.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
So Blake had James, Tyreek had a solid cuard, so
the Eryl, Ricky Rubio and Steph Jordan Hill had a
solid game, John Drew High, Brenda Jennings, Jeff t Joe
Henderson said, Collison Austin d James Johnson, even.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Drew Holliday in there. Yep, we had a squad, bro.
I mean, we had a good little class.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
Even if I see, let's see how many Hall of
Famers even the.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Second rounders Hall of Famers, James Harden, Damar, Steph Curry, Damarrow.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
I think DeMar can get in.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Drew Holliday, He's won two chips. They're probably gonna.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Go ahead.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Jeff t said he had a good career to Tony
Tony Douglas.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
Second round. We had some guys in the second round too,
those solid. Uh.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
We had Jody Meggs, Pat Bev in the second round,
Market Story, Chase Budinger, j Price, my Dog, Patty Mills,
Sam Young, Summers, Dante Cunningham.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
We had a we had a nice little draftman draft class.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Pattie Mills. So you got drafted in the second round
to forty six, yep, Yeah, and what year was this?

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Oh nine?

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Bro oh nine? So damn?

Speaker 3 (24:10):
So that was so yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:11):
Worked out for every team that asked me to work out,
and I was like thirteen fourteen. Even the year before
you couldn't go to so the year before I had
like a little fractional album. But I did the process
anyway and worked out like four or five teams just
to see was like they went back to school. Yeah,
and next year I think I had like thirteen or
fourteen workouts.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
Damn and the questions interview.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
Nah, I remember some of the workouts being in Cleveland.
I had a really good workout. I thought that was
gonna pick me in the first round. They end up
picking Christian Nyanga and they sent him back to save money,
like he went back over He was from Congo, played
in Spain, went back over seat, so saved money. They
got me drafting, they got me in. They got me
in the second round. So they found me the second round.
But I thought they were gonna get me in the
first round. I also remember being in Uh, What's it?

(24:51):
Larry Brown's said that Steph was in workout with me
Gerald and I think Tony Douglas, but he was in Charlotte.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Was Larry Brown Show at the time. Could it was
a long It was a long workout. There's a lot
of talking. He stopped every possession, explained and break it
down and we was like, damn, can we just get
to the you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 5 (25:09):
Like, but yeah, it was a lot of workouts, man,
and some of them went well. Some of them didn't remember.
Marcus Storton, he was a killer bro used to get
buckets and some work he was torching motherfuckers. But yeah,
and Toronto had one of the toughest workouts he Will.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Did you work out against t Will Yep?

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Yeah he was he he was athletic, you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
He was one of him.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Sam Young, they were like my positions, guy, and I'm like,
you know, you see them compare yourselfthing like that, These
motherfucks going high like he was younger athletic, and I'm like,
I thought I proved that I was in the same
type of lane, like I should be drafted now they
went way higher and gerald to a younger athletic. I
just didn't have the athleticism they had. Yeah, but it
worked out against all in Toronto. Sid had the toughest workout.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Toronto made you run a lot of Yeah, I remember running.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
I think it was it. Sam Young.

Speaker 5 (25:55):
I think he did the vertical test. Had his arm
caught in the fucking vertical. He had like stitches, some
crazy jump on his arm caught in the damn hooked
into them vertical like the pole on the side.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Yeah, some wall. But yeah, fun times, man. Draft process.

Speaker 4 (26:14):
I remember when one workout for Denver only lasted like
thirty minutes. I thought it was a good workout too.
I was making shots. I thought like, you know, because
it was like the number two or three? Oh yeah yeah,
Because I was like, damn all right. He must have
liked because who did they get?

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Who did they pick?

Speaker 4 (26:29):
They picked right my team?

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Okay they pick oh wow?

Speaker 4 (26:34):
Yeah, there was like the number three, there was third.
I thought that a great world. It was only thirty minutes.
But I made them, y'all fell I made every shot.
I was pushing full cord three, pushing full court. It
was like, shoot a half court shot. I think I
hit that. It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
He was like, yeah, I'm definitely going number two.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Yeah, but I was like I probably probably, Yeah, I'm
definitely going number two. Be around with y'all, go.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
So good.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yeah. You know to this next topic, which I know
comes comes up a lot, especially on shows like ours.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Uh, when you talk about the faces of the league and.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Guys like Harden, guys like Steph KD, even Russ are
still producing at you know, a pretty high level and
they are who and like when you look at the
TV schedule, they're still centering the TV schedule around Steph
KD and Lebron right, So like it shows you like

(27:38):
there's still the biggest draws in the league, And like,
I think the league is in the process of building
these other guys into people that average fans are going
to care about. And I guess, like what I'm asking
you guys, who you guys think are going to be
the guys that we anchor this thing around going forward.

(27:59):
Because I've Stephen Lebron and KD can't play forever.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
It's a it's kind of I'm gonna say, it's disappointing.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
But for Americans, it's tough because there's a lot of
foreigners that's kind of taken over and looking like the
face of the league. There's not many Americas that we have.
We have Jason Tatum and Edwards. Outside of that, wembyok,
Luca Sga is Canadian, Like, we have some good.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Young talent. Yeah, but they're all pretty much foreign international guys,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
So we need more Americans man to kind of step
up take over the tours. I said, you get like
LaMelo to play some serious basketball. Zion, you know what
I'm saying, get healthy.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Those got Zion, Zion John and Joahn Morant.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
If their careers went the way we thought it was
supposed to, they would be the people we're talking about
all the time. So we kind of have a generational
gap because those dudes didn't step up to the plate,
so to speak, to sort of take that mantle.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Is it more so off the court that it is
on the court?

Speaker 2 (29:04):
I would say it's both at this point, because we
can't say that either one of them are killing it,
you know, on the court.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
To hold it down right, Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
The thing is to become the face of the league,
you gotta be the best player in the league. Yeah,
So what American do we see is the best player
in the league. We don't have one that we consider
that's the best.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Kate is up and coming, but right now it's Wemby
s g A.

Speaker 4 (29:31):
Right. How many faces of the league have there been
in the last thirty years?

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Realistically? Man after Mike, bron Kobe.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Best player, best player in the league? K like you're
talking about yah shock.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
Yeah, these are the guys that they anchored.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
The probably the top five guys in the league. Usually
it's usually the top center position, the top wing, top point.
So it's like usually a top five guy.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
We don't got nobody there.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Yeah, now, no, it's not looking good.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
I think the.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
American face of the league college thing is unique enough
that even his foreign nature could kind of transcend it
because it's so unique. And I think once the other
machines get behind him, like Nike and his other Brandon Dors.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Big man can't sell shoes.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
I think you're right.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Historically that's been the case, but I just think Wenby
is such a special case.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
That is gonna be Luka Doncic possibly.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
So what were you saying before he said that, you
were saying Mike when the face of the league, Well.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
The face of the league, I think the.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Looe these guys like, yeah, it was Mike retired and
then it was Kobe.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Was never just like the face of the league, you
know what I'm saying, Like it was Jordan's Yeah then
like because think about it, Kobe was young, Yeah, for
sure was young. When Micro, I guess you could say
it was Shack and then you could probably say like
Shack or something like that.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yes, because even to this day, Shack is still one
of the most famous globally.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
People because music, He's got a big he was.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
A big fucking star bro Like he was a very
famous basketball player to a level that like none of
these younger guys can compare to.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
Which will transition to our next topic of like basketball
movies all time, Like some of those movies.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Remember that I do.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Five Bro.

Speaker 5 (31:42):
I was a kid watching that sh Neon found Neon
and I'm saying breaking rims and ship.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
So yeah, I think Luka Don being in l A,
I think that just matters.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Playing for the Lakers matters in a way that like
it's just different than playing, you know, for the Orlando Magic.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
It's just not the same, Like in LA propels you to.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
Being in a bigger market, bigger They also winning his ability,
like yes, the only chance we got with K, Tyrese
and Edwards and Don is like they have to win,
like Philly has to be winning, for Tyres to be
Detroit has to be back on the map again, for
K to be considered.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Like the FA League, the face of the league is
gonna look a lot different than it ever has the
next one, because these are the things that came with
the face of the league. You were popular amongst the kids.
You sold all the shoes, all our magic Bird Jordans,
you sold people wanted to actually be you, and you

(32:40):
had this charisma you had this flair you are exciting
to watch. So like when I look at this list
of the top players who like it's gonna be different now, it's.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Not gonna be that the world is different. These young
kids they want to be. It's a different these kids today,
they look to take They do like stuff because he's
he's relatable, but also.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Like LaMelo, like dude to play video games on Twitch.

Speaker 5 (33:05):
So what I'm saying they gravitate to its against The
celebrity is very different now than it was then. The
celebrity is way more about like value than than it
is now. Like we see everybody so much access to
everybody now it seemed kind of too much. So like
I know how Anthony edverars operating acts. Yeah, and again
it would probably be held to a higher like platform

(33:27):
because they wouldn't see all the things that's going on
off the court, Like all these women are coming out.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Saying, oh yeah the baby mom.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Probably he's you know, yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
All that other outside stuffs on the factor. It seems
like everybody does right, everybody's in everybody's business. Facts, you
didn't know everybody's business.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
So true, right, so true? Like you know, I was
talking to somebody about Gary Payton and they were like, bro.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
People don't even know ten percent of this he was
was getting into off the court, he got into a lot. Yeah,
but those days he makes it yeah, you know what
I mean, and keep it under wrapping. It was fine, right,
but nowadays he would.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Have been all over the news, all up on people's
camera phones and all kinds of crazy shit.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
All right, let's get into our favorite part of every
single show, and that's the Picks of the Night, presented
by Prize Picks. Raptors will be playing at the Sixers
more or less than eighteen and a half points for
one Scottie Barnes.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
I feel like these type of games he gets up for,
you know, s guy likes the smoke, he likes to
talk shit, you know what I'm saying. I feel like
he's gonna come in and try to do his flexing
type shit like how he did on Giannis. I could
see him going for more than eighteen and a half
on this one.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
And I like his matchups, like just physically.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
To me, that's his biggest strength is how often he
could just overpower the guy that's guarding him.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
And I don't think the Sixers outside of their.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Centers on the wing that has Scott so I like
his matchup again this more than eighteen and a half points.

Speaker 5 (35:05):
I'm not sure if it's gonna be the number for sure,
but whatever his number is, I think he gets more
than I can see a twenty plus point game.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
I'm gonna go less.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Okay, Warriors at the heat Jimmy Butler more or less
than nineteen and a half points.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Against his They got smoke last year, didn't they.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
I don't got somestances of it. Did Jimmy even play play? Okay,
they got smoke last year. I think Jimmy want redemption. Absolutely,
I'm more than nineteen. I'm he's gonna be getting to
that free throw line. He's gonna be talking, he's gonna
be egging on the crowd. I could see Jimmy going
for more than nineteen and a half.

Speaker 4 (35:43):
I'm gonna say this because I remember when I went
back to play at certain arena's where I played.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
It's tough.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
It's tough. You know what I'm saying. You don't get
us standing. Probably it's gonna be emotion.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
They did it, so it's not his first time, it's
the second time.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
The second time but you know, he left a part
of his heart there. Yeah, and the fans know he did.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Hell know he didin't getting They're gonna boom, They're gonna
last year, relentless.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
I think it's gonna be emotional. I'm gonna go.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
He's definitely emotional. He's getting booed.

Speaker 5 (36:12):
He got boo last year, I think because he's got
a little familiarity with the space.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
But it's still a fresh wound, you know, like that
has last year. Yeah, No, not as fresh.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
So he's got a year to sud He's all right now,
I got a better team. I got come in. I
got these guys with me.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
I mean, I think you understand peak. Jimmy Butler was Miami.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Yeah, the best years of his career Miami.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
You know yeah, I just think about, like when bron
left Cleveland, how long these people were booing him still
basically until he went back. So yeah, I like, I
like Jimmy to Broxity occasion, Kings at the thunder S
g a more or less than thirty and book.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
You know this.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Motherfuckers locking.

Speaker 5 (36:56):
But the only thing they might blow they might blow
them up. He's still he's still getting thirty and not
playing for quarters.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
Yeah, I'm going more.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
I'm going more for.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Kings have a horrible perimeter defense, a.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
Horrible defense period.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
Unfortunately, Christie might be up next. For Willie Green, He's
another trap.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Situation is looking bad for him.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
We wanted to do a way too early look at
the m v P race, but wanted to give you
guys a look at the odds, what people think, who
people think are the favorite right now?

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Would you let's look any different?

Speaker 1 (37:37):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
I think I think I would have Giannis a little higher.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
I think Lucas damn. You can make that argument.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
But also I don't like how much further web Yama
is from the Lucas, and I think he's he's closer
than what these odds are giving him credit.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
Those games, those two games games and a couple of
a couple of loss they had the Golden State.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
Don't matter if they finish in the top three, winning, winning,
they finishing the going.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
I'm going higher right now because they're a number one
in the East.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
I think is getting I think has miss games because.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
There's two games and they won without they won exactly.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
That says something.

Speaker 5 (38:20):
But they're winning is what I'm saying like, he's gonna
san Antonio if they would have won without want.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
To the narrative. Media voters love to be like, well,
he's number one in the East.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
Yeah, that's games because san Antonio was.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
They're not right now though, if san Antonio is in
the top three, they're nine in four. I'm saying, if
they're in the top three at the end of the year.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
Yeah, he'll be higher, but right now they're the seed
that was six.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
I expect okay see, and I expect Denver to be
at the top. But like san Antonio didn't make the
playoffs last year.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
No woman, he's out the last six months.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
Yeah, so I'm like, if you squeeze them into the
top three in the.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
West, the number five right now is the stands.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
I get it. Yeah, but they're gonna be better for sure.
But as it sins right now, the number five and
he forced them to the top three, yeah, you're gonna
have to.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
I don't even have a problem, Like I said, I
think he's a lot closer to and I guess the
Luca thing is like he's putting up his career best
numbers and the Lakers are winning, and yeah, just.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
Doing it on the Lakers, fair or not, will elevate
your standing.

Speaker 5 (39:27):
With m v P voters one hundred percent, and they're
they're ten and four, so they're ahead of Santonio. So
like I got Jokic number one, s should be number one,
should be number one, the best record of the league.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
He's not even playing fourth quarters.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
I'm Yokis number one.

Speaker 5 (39:43):
Yokish number two. Yorkis has unbelievab numbers. But where they
sitting in the West right now.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
I just went with fifty five, number one, the number two.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
They've won seventh straight.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
They got Chicago, Yokis number one, number two. I'm going
Giannis at three, Luca four, okay, five, Victor is six. Okay,
that's because of the standings.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Kate is right outside of my m v P top five.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
And I just think Victor just in terms of impact
with the game, man like what he's doing on both
ends of the court. Even though we usually just treat
m v P as most outstanding offensive player, I just
would love to incorporate what Wenby's doing the ball. He's
so dominant.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
I have no argument that I'm cool with him being five.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
We can get the m v P and defensive player well,
m for real, that's in the same he should win
the next Just give him the award right now. If
he plays, Yeah, give.

Speaker 1 (40:47):
It to him.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
So what do you guys think about these sort of
dark horse guys like a Steph Curry and Edwards Tyres,
Maxie Dono Games.

Speaker 5 (40:57):
I think they can get in a voter. They can
make a top three voting depends on where their team lands.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
Yeah, Steph, get if Golden State somehow gets into the
top four of the West again, is gonna shoot up.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Yeah, gonna shoot up these rankings.

Speaker 5 (41:10):
As well as the top three, Like if Cleveland is
number one again, which I don't know if I see
that happening this year with injuries, but if Tires, if
they said a Philly, Minnesota or Golden State are in
the top three of the respective conferences, then you can
book them forgetting in the top like an MVP voting list,
Like they can be in the top three or top
five voting.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
And that's the fun thing. There's so many more games
to play. So this is going to be a great
m VP race this year. Mount forward to it. Mount Rushmoores.
We're gonna do a couple of Mount Rushmoores. The first
one is a big man center Mount Rushmore, and it's
Yoki on there already.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
He's definitely on mind. I got to say that he's
on my mount. So yoke, howk okay, Kareem, that's it.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
Oh, there's only four four people. You gotta take them off.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
I'm taking hot off of Bill Russell.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
So Bill Russell, Kareem your kitchen, Shack, that's my that's
my Rushmore. That's your rush More, and Shack is my
number one center all all for me. Juster rush More
is just what I've seen this man do with my
own two eyes is just insane.

Speaker 5 (42:35):
I gotta put I gotta put Kareem. Yeah, I gotta
put Kareem on there. I gotta put Shack on there.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
Who did you take off?

Speaker 1 (42:46):
I had to take off a km I'm putting.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
I'm putting a queum up there, bro.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Keem quemd he's he's he's right outside of because like.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
I'm one of these guys.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
Now we're going based off just talent and skill or
just the residue like yours.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
It's just yours. Who do you?

Speaker 3 (43:02):
Who would you like different? He said? Resumes or non
green yours?

Speaker 1 (43:09):
All right, you got four chances to pick a center.

Speaker 5 (43:12):
Shack, Hakeem, hmm, Shaq, Cokaem, Kareem, and then I'll put.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
Up there all right, my rush more shack for Kareem,
and then I'm gonna go Will.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
M M yeah, Wills. He doesn't ring give me.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
I mean he's just too I mean, I mean he
was down the twenty averages on some seasons.

Speaker 5 (43:43):
Well Bill Russell, well yeah, one he didn't win like that,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (43:49):
So that's how many?

Speaker 3 (43:50):
How many?

Speaker 1 (43:50):
What when he went like two ship he went one
with the Sixers and one with the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
He won two championships, but Russell got thirteen. I'm just respecting.

Speaker 1 (44:02):
Let me, Yeah, I got good God damn rushing.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
I don't know if I go just yet, but I
feel he will be there.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
I just love everybody I think impacted both sides.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Of the ball.

Speaker 5 (44:14):
I'm gonna go will Bill, Shaq and Hakeem and yeah
the Korean Korean, Yeah, Koreem him.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
I wanted Haem on it.

Speaker 4 (44:26):
I want the but Hakim is not a bad pig.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
Yeah. And you know, guys, we didn't mention guys like
David Robinson. Oh my goodness, you know why. Patrick Ewing uh,
just some great players.

Speaker 5 (44:43):
I mean, if Joel was healthy all throughout the years,
he would have been a guy. Joe could have been
a guy up there if he was help.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
But Shaq talks about it all the time, just playing
in the nineties against you know, against Hock, against Pat,
against David Robinson, these guys with nightman matchups, and just
outside of the mount rushmore.

Speaker 5 (45:02):
Whose one MVP at the center position besides those guys
you mentioned and Joel like, there's not.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
Me seriously center m v p s right, you know
in the seventies the only one with only one all
the one, yeah, all the other ones.

Speaker 4 (45:18):
I got six, five or six, but three, Kareem got six?

Speaker 1 (45:26):
Willis read Dave?

Speaker 4 (45:30):
How many MVPs do will got? Hm go to wils average.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
Won four m v p s. Who who Chamberlain for
everybody got Kareem went six or got six?

Speaker 4 (45:44):
Sam got six?

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Six m v ps bro Russell got six.

Speaker 3 (45:49):
You know what I mean? I dispected them to start
like Russell got six.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
Now Kareem to me man like he never gets his
dude in terms of the goat conversation. But to me
outside of like Lebron and and Mike obviously like Kareem
is like in terms of who put it on the
floor greatness, he's right there.

Speaker 4 (46:13):
To me, I think Kareem had the best basketball career ever.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
Like seriously, high school was like played on the most
unstoppable tea.

Speaker 3 (46:22):
High school, college and U.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
C l A like ink and everybody had the best
basketball career. Is no debate, Sure, you know, debate.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
How many years of Kareem player? He didn't play twenty
years as well?

Speaker 1 (46:35):
High school he won all the years, college, all the
years is he he's you know, he never did his
own pr.

Speaker 4 (46:43):
He had the best basketball career of anybody.

Speaker 1 (46:45):
Who memorial fucking U c L A nineteen time All Star,
fixing MVP.

Speaker 4 (46:55):
Why was he considered the goat.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
Brou It's because it's because Koree like he hated doing
media champ suss.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
He's like very to himself, stand off ish, so like
he's not doing his own marketing.

Speaker 1 (47:09):
Champion.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
They might have lost three times, yeah, bro, and that's
only because fresh he was the best player in the country.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
Wasn't about to play.

Speaker 5 (47:22):
They had less teams back then too, right, like all
around college teams, I mean just every every college league everything.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
That's Bill Russell he played in the NBA when it
was like eight teams.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
And ship like that.

Speaker 3 (47:33):
But Kareem like bro Kareem got he got.

Speaker 4 (47:38):
Man all right?

Speaker 3 (47:39):
Moving along, Man, shout out to Sacream. But yeah, we
do our New York City Mount Rushmore basketball movies.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Mount Rushmore of basketball movies. That's our next Mount Rushmore.
And I'm going straight off the dome with he got game.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
For sure, Blue chips for sure.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
Okay, do we can we count hoop dreams? You can.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
For sure? Oh shoot, Man, definitely not space jam, not
Coach Carter.

Speaker 3 (48:11):
The first first Space Jame was first Sace was good
when we were young, Space.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
I was. But like now now I can't do what
I feel Blue Chips. I find that thing on right
now and be in it. All them cheating ass college
coaches and all that ship.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
It's legal.

Speaker 1 (48:31):
Now, who's my last movie? Man?

Speaker 3 (48:35):
I got my top four.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
Six man. That's a good six man.

Speaker 4 (48:41):
All right. So minds is above the rim, above the rim.
White man came down. Coach.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
You know what I'm switching. I'm searching six man for
white Man. Can't jam for Showski.

Speaker 4 (48:53):
I got coached Carter and then he got game.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
He got Yeah, No for sure, he got Game We
want to school, so he.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
Got when Rick Fox took him on that recruit, she
got Game.

Speaker 5 (49:08):
White man can't jump blue chips and damn, I want
to say Sunset Park, but I feel like, what was
the other one you just said?

Speaker 4 (49:19):
That was about the room the rim?

Speaker 3 (49:23):
No, no it's not romantic, that's I love you know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
No, we can't take away what we built. What was
your top?

Speaker 3 (49:33):
What was your top?

Speaker 1 (49:33):
Four blue chips, white man can't jump? So he got
Game and uh ship, I'm not forgetting.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
That.

Speaker 5 (49:47):
Six Man, six Man, Yeah, that's what was six Man
is another one for me. So that so he got Game,
white man can't jump, blue chips and then and then
six Men six.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Men was a bro I saw that in the movie.
I was crying because yeah.

Speaker 5 (50:02):
Also because to me, my brother grew up together playing
like close ways. So that's why it was like one
of those movies from me. And actually I got a
chance to see Kadem. I din't recognized him. He had
a mascot. I was on a flight with him.

Speaker 1 (50:12):
Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
He was like, yeah, what's up.

Speaker 5 (50:13):
He's like, you're done playing? I'm like, who the Yeah,
I'm done. I recognized him Kadeem. I was like, oh Ship,
I'm like, yo, bro, I didn't know it was you.

Speaker 1 (50:21):
Paul have been in a movie before.

Speaker 4 (50:23):
I've done some cameras what were you?

Speaker 1 (50:27):
And some ship?

Speaker 4 (50:28):
No, I forget.

Speaker 1 (50:31):
We gotta look at Paul's IMDb.

Speaker 4 (50:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, let's go Paul's im d V.

Speaker 5 (50:38):
Nah not second Space. The first one might have been
what I'm saying, Sunce. That park was a good one
for me, but I had to do six man.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
I've been a couple of cameras all Piers actor.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Family, Let's dance.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
No, oh, this is a different Paul Piers hold on,
which would oh former professional?

Speaker 1 (50:57):
Yeah, there you go? Oh there he is.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
Sheball Yeah, ball Damn. Y'all got a three point six
extended family. Okay, stars on Mars and sneakerheads.

Speaker 4 (51:10):
Oh, it was one more. The one movie with the
rock with the little kid. It was like a cameo. No,
it's not the two Fairy because my kids is always
talking about that, it's the little It's it's a kids movie.
And I did a little club scene with.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
The rock Fire That was like my first one.

Speaker 3 (51:32):
Yeah, that's dope, though, that's dope.

Speaker 1 (51:35):
I always want to do a came sneakerheads? What is
what sneakerheads?

Speaker 4 (51:39):
It was about these guys who was trying to know
they was trying to sell sneakers or they're trying to
like to make some money.

Speaker 2 (51:45):
Or Okay, yeah, I'm gonna try to find that one.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
Yeah, twenty twenty. So that was like they was like
trying to flip itself, like.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Yeah, my guys, we're gonna get you guys out of
here with some predictions.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Who do we think gonna win these NBA Cup games?

Speaker 2 (52:02):
And why Warriors at Heat Jimmy Butler Revenge game Heat still.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Hobbled, hobbled?

Speaker 3 (52:11):
Okay, okay, so we're just doing predictions, all.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
Right, two three, all right, let's get you guys out
of here with some predictions.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
Jimmy Butler Revenge game, Warriors at the Heat in Miami.

Speaker 5 (52:25):
This game, Bay I got, I got, I got Golden State.
I think said step has been on a tear like
you do all that if you get a couple days rest.
I don't know how much time is between.

Speaker 4 (52:36):
He does.

Speaker 3 (52:37):
He's not a nightlight, guys. I ain't got worried about
him going out. I ain't gotta worry about Steph, so
he's leading the team.

Speaker 5 (52:42):
I think they're gonna be all right, and said also Miami,
Tyler Harrobin out band been out. They've been kind of
down some bodies. So I'm gonna go with Golden State
on that.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
I got got me too clean suite for Golden State
Raptors at the Sixers. The Raptors are on an ups
we've been playing now, they've been playing. They're playing well.
They play together, they play fast, they seem to like
each other. It's pretty cool to watch. I was I
was down on them to start the season, so I'm
happy to see that I was wrong about that. They're
playing real quality basketball. So I'm definitely taking the Raptors

(53:14):
on the road against the Sixers, who seemed to be
coming back a little bit down at from the very
quick start that they had.

Speaker 3 (53:20):
Yeah, they dropped that one game Detroit was bad, but
I think they bounced back.

Speaker 4 (53:25):
This is a tough matchup.

Speaker 3 (53:26):
I'm gonna go Philly, Philly.

Speaker 4 (53:28):
I like the Raptors in this one. I don't know
if they can match up. They got big wins.

Speaker 2 (53:34):
Team, big physical team, and a lot of smaller guards. Last,
but not least, Rockets at the Calves. These again, this
seems to be two teams opposite directions. Rockets are on
the up, up up up, and the Calves seem to
be I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
They won a couple, they got themselves plateau.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Yeah, so give me the Rockets on the road man.
They're continuing there, just a pace as just like one
of the teams is going to have to be dealt
with this season.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
Yeah, I'm going with Houston as well.

Speaker 4 (54:01):
We'll go Calves at home from the home team. They
played well at home.

Speaker 3 (54:05):
All right, well Houston.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
There you have it. Those are our predictions. That was
our show for today.
