Speaker 1 (00:25):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to the latest edition of
No Fouls Given, of course, presented by Prize Pigs.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I'm your co host Big Wise a k A.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Lamb Bray, and I'm joined as always by my two
co hosts, Danny Green Paul Pierce. We got a super
dope show on the way for you guys. Let's get
right into it. Like, would you call yourself Big Wise?
You said, k Kaz Lambray. Okay, where is that? Let's

(01:01):
get right into the Lakes show U an NBA Cup action,
big games happening that are deciding the semifinals, who gets
to go to Vegas for the final four of.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
The NBA Cup.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Lakers are playing the Spurs. Winner gets to go to
the semifinals in Vegas. Of course, the Lakers have been there.
They went the first year.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
I don't think they they won it the first year.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I don't think they made it last year.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
And the winner gets to face OKC for a chance
to go to the championship. Do you guys have any
predictions in terms of what's gonna happen with the Cup.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
The Cup, the semi final with Lakers and Spurs. Yeah,
I'm hoping Wemby is back.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Wmby won't be back.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
You go the wrong Listen. When you got a veteran
team like the Lakers, they want to go to Vegas
and hang out for a couple of eggs. Like I'm brillian,
if I'm broad, I'm pushing that. Yeah, like we really
let's go out there and kick it, get on the
tables or whatever on free night. You might have one
free night before your Yeah, you know, Vets will do that. Yeah,
I got Lakes. Come on now, young Spurs. We don't
need them.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
They've been playing well. Man, Dylan Harper had a nice
little game other night, little game winner with the right
you know finish. He's been playing well. Fox had a
rough name. I think he's gonna bounce back. I'm covering
this game. I'm actually undefeated in studio, so would be
kind of weird to say Spurs right now and I'll
be in the studio.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Well, you know your your alliances are split up right now?
That is the Laker jersey, the Spurs with the championships las.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
You got a chip on both of them. Yeah, well
one was an asterisk to it.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
So this guy that's crazy. I want to see I
want to see Spurs versus Okay, see, like I want
to see because I think when we would be back
for that, I want to see that matchup in the Cup.
Why not have it in the Cup with be healthy.
I think one be healthy for that matchup. So I
think the Lakers have more experience and probably will win,

(03:12):
but I want to see Spurs advance to play. Okay see,
I think.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
The Lakers are going to get to Vegas just full strength.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
They're a better team than the Spurs. They're at home,
which I think matters, like they're a really good home team,
and so give me the.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Lakers over the Spurs.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
The Knicks put a beat down on the Toronto Raptors
and they now get to face the Orlando Magic on
the other side of the brackets.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Could match up. They've been playing each other a lot,
like they probably got all their four games with all
their matchups out.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
The Magic.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Yeah, Orlando beat beat up Miami to the Miami tonight.
They beat Miami without without Franz, and Miami had fulls
full force, they had Tyler, they had norm they have
been Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
A good game, but again, they played each other multiple time.
I think they win, they win the season. Record against Miami.
I think they beat him three times already, and they
played the Knicks like three times. I think Orlando's up
two to one, maybe.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I think so.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah, So this is the semi finals, Orlando vers Nicks.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, ye, incredible. Thirty seven points. The best player right now,
that's what it feels like.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
It feels like he's the I hate the sets of cliche,
but heart and soul of the team.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
With Franz out, I'll say that because Franz, I think
was more. Dez has been hooping. He had last couple
of weeks. He's had a couple of thirty five thirty
seven ball but he also had some games where it
was damn But like Franz, I think has been the
most consistent. But with him out, Polo still agin rhythm.
He's he's got to be the guy to score for.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Them also, just just to keep it on Orlando.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Franz went down the other day.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
We thought that it might be a super serious knee injury.
It turns out was just a high and not just
like that injury itself. But thankfully he's gonna be back
for he soon, probably not gonna make it to Vegas.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
For the probably like three to four weeks.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
They usually let make you have to rest that for
a while.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Even if this was a playoff series, I think he
would be ended up for some time, probably with the
high ankle spring. Yeah, but they're going to be facing
off against the Knicks.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Play really good defense man hell Tyler Herald zero over
six from three and Miamily made two threes in the
second half. Like that's that's very uncharacteristic they put them
up to. They do, they play fast, they shoot a
lot of three. So to do that defensively, that's a big,
big win.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
That's who they offered me. You know, last year they
were a defensive team that couldn't shoot. Now some shooting
and that's why they won some of the games.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
So all right, So who you got in that game?

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I think the Knicks, man, I think they're tired of
getting beat up by this team, as evidenced by the
last game that they played, a pretty decisive win.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
I would say too. And so the Knicks, knowing that
Vegas is on the line.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
They've made it to the knockout portion of every single
NBA Cup, but haven't made it to Vegas yet. So
it's definitely something to strive for and keep yourself in
the running for the big money.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
I look for the Knicks too. What did you say
they have? They made it to the knockout portion, but.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Not to Vegas yet keep the party cracking.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
They won't make it. I got popping them.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
I got. I want to stay a little bit. I
feel like the next one they lost, they didn't have everybody.
Now they got o g back, they got mostly everybody healthy.
I'm gonna say the next get this one. They had
a good win against Toronto the night pretty handedly. I
think y'all want to do it? Bet what type of
I don't like the game on the Knicks? Man, listen

(06:52):
on air, everybody's seeing black.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
On air push ups?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Okay, let's do.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
It, all right, I'll do I'll get you know what
happens every time you gamble.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
On command all command push ups?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Okay, so whenever you need to or one.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
You know what, Man, you're talking too loud, give me
to give me too.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
I love that coming back from Vegas with push up.
Matter of fact, we're gonna record the night of the
NBA Cup Final.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah, so we'll probably be able to catch We'll be
able to cash that push you bet? Yeah, yeah, it's.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Gotta be on their.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
So I like, yeah, I like we like the Knicks,
Me and Danny.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
This episode is brought to you by Prize Picks. It
is the holiday season, best time of year for sports,
bowl games, basketball matchups, playoff pushes. It's all happening at once.
And while you and I are out here making decisions
every day what gifts to buy, what to eat, which
game to watch, there's one place where it feels good
to be right Prize Picks.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I love how simple it is to play and win
on Prize Picks. Jalen Brunson, Steph Curry, Tyrese MAXI more threes,
more points, more as cysts.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
These guys are hooping.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
I love that you can also create a lineup and
mix and match sports. If I'm feeling a little spicy,
I will add some football picks to the lineup as well.
Love sprinkling in a little pooka the cool action with
my hoopers.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Prize Picks now has early payouts. If your lineup gets
off to a hot start, you may not have the
option to cash out those winnings before the game even finishes.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Prize Picks is simple to play. Just pick more or
less on at least two player stats. If you get
your picks right, you could cash.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
In download the prize picks at today and use code
NFG and get fifty dollars in lineups after you play
your first five dollars lineup. That's code NFG to get
fifty dollars in lineups after you play your first five
dollars lineup prize picks. It's good to be right, But I.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Want to circle back a little bit to the Lakers
Cuz to me, it seems like the Lakers are bawling.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
They have a better season that people would.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Have expected than most people expect.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
However, somebody really close to the Lakers situation, one Rich Paul,
who has a brand new podcast with my guys over
at the Ringer, him and Max Kellerman and just now
just the other day, excuse me, he said, quote personally,
I don't think the Lakers are good enough to be contenders.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Damn, I'm not done with the quote.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Continue not right now.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
I don't think they have enough to get to the
Western Conference finals. He also said that Lebron is not
going anywhere, meaning he's not gonna ask.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
For a trade. He won't resent because Lebron.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
It has a no trade clause in his contract, so
if the Lakers even tried to initiated trade, Lebron would
have to approve it.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Lebron is finishing off the season with the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Rich Paul announced that basically reported that not in Heath media.
He reported that on his show. So I wanted to
get your opinion, Danny first.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
The way that you said it, it sounded like he's
He didn't emphasize it like I think he just said, like,
I don't think they're contenders right now. I don't think
it was as much with his chest the way you
the way you, I don't know if the way you
said it, you made it seem like they were shitty.
He did say it, if you, and I don't think
I don't think. I don't think he's wrong, Like hmmm,

(10:22):
because realistically, contenders are people that we think that can
really win a championship. And to me, anyway, I don't
know about you guys, it's okay. Seeing Denver and even
in the East, I'm like, do we put anybody else?
Like they can make it to the finals, but are
they really a matchup? Four ever comes out of the West,
who can you take seriously? Now, I think they're the

(10:43):
tier behind them. That tier like where Houston is, I
got the Lakers right there. Like can they sneak into
Western Comms finals? Depend on matchups? Yes, they can avoid
certain people, But I don't think they can beat those
two teams that I mentioned. But I think they could
beat Minnesota. I think they can beat a Houston. I
think they can beat a Golden State. Who else is
out there that I'm missing? They can be Minnesota struggling mightily.

(11:07):
You should be talking about healthy Phoenix instead Phoenix, Phoenix,
Phoenix and other Phoenix is balling, Phoenix is gonna be
right there. So yeah, I think those are the teams
that I think the Lakers could be and I think
based on matchups.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
So you're basically saying you agree with what he's saying.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
I don't think he's wrong. I don't think he's wrong.
When you say contender, you're saying somebody that you for
sure really believe that they're they're in championship more like
they are championship team right now. Nah, they're good right now,
but we all know that they're missing some pieces, like
they need some pieces to be like, oh, this is
really a champions.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
What you're telling me right now as we're talking, the
Lakers are second in the West.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
I don't understand that.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
I don't see listen, don't get called into the BS.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
So Detroit's number one, and these are they contenders? Absolutely
Toronto Toronto's Toronto's top two, not top they was so
who's number to now? Who's number two? Now?

Speaker 4 (11:59):
And the Eastern Conference the Knicks their commenders.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
They just got to two.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
They've been bouncing between two and four. Is what's going on?
Rich Paul is trying not to come off biased in
his first media appearance. Obviously he's Lebron's agents. I mean,
come on, we all know he went to Lebron was like,

(12:25):
you know, here in the back, drinking wine, like y'all
can win it. Come on, like they'll go.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
So you think that he believes that they could beat
Denver in Okay, See.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Why wouldn't he believe that? Because third option on a
championship team. Why wouldn't you believe.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
That because Lebron he's not he's not a Lebron of
he's your third option. Yeah, he's also over the hill
right now.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
I wouldn't call him. I'm not calling over the hill
right now. I can't, like I said, I can't make
an assessment on bron right now because he ain't.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Got his legs.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
He and his and his legs ain't in the shape
that you need him to be at. Like I said,
he played all in the like in like a month,
So you know how that is. Then when you said
out here, come back, you gotta could take a minute
for you get your ring. You went from zero to
one hundred and you forty one. He need like about
another month. So like I'm a judging based on like
when I see him around Christmas. When I see him

(13:17):
around Christmas and his legs and he getting the lyft
and he up and down the court, it's gonna look
different any given night, like we saw the other night.
He could be your one option. And if Austin Reeves
is playing like he playing right now, I mean he
should be in the m v P talks playing right now.
Right let's let's keep it one hundred.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
He's definitely an All Star.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
I mean, like I give it a tender, hands down.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
They have to be a contender because it's the number
two seed.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
That's early still December, the highest scoring duel in the league,
and you got a player who's.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
At the end of the year. That's different. This is
still early December, so.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Okay, okay, but we're talking about right now.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Yes, early December.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Like, I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
You why anybody would say that because there's no chance
they could win a series.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Maybe okay, c who's won ninety five percent of the games.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
I can't understand why you would say there's no chance
that the Lakers would beat them.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
But nobody else in the West. Do I say to
myself the Lakers have no chance of beating them in
a series, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (14:21):
And they have an answer for your.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Kisch No could like, okay, answer for they.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Have a defensive team.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
They have they stop, They've proven to beat them.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
They beat them, so they have proven to beat them.
To me, the Lakers have not to me, they have
no answer for him in this. And then also Denver's
record is because it is because Aaron Gordon has been out,
Christian Brown has been out, she had injuries. So like, realistically,
Nuggets are tied for two in the West and they
shouldn't be with the guys been out.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I get that. I get that.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
What I'm saying is in a playoff setting where let's
just say Aaron Gordon tweaks at hamstring, Jamaal Murray steps
on somebody shooting and his ankle is messed up.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
The Lakers can't win that series. Well, they get super
hot from three.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
You're like, I don't think they're so far from these
teams that they couldn't get be lucky enough.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Anything is possible. Orlando Magic can still make the finals. Yes,
is it likely? I'm gonna say it's unlikely. So I
don't say it's not a possibility that they can't beat
those teams. I just don't think. I think the chances
are very slim with they match up against those teams healthy.
I don't see them beating those teams.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Okay, what I'm saying is like, take a Grizzlies.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
I don't know if they can get to the conference finals. Now,
I'm trying to look for a path.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
You're looking at two three. They have to try to
avoid one of those teams for.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Two rounds to see Denver or Thunder second, and it's.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
The second round and they have they can't avoid it.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I don't think they're so far from these teams that
Lady Luck couldn't shine upon them.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
But I think Denver to beat them. Ministry is absolutely okay.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
So yeah, guess again.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Into this the Lakers are out of.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Can't beat for sure. They need it, they needed they
have one injury, like they needed Aaron Gordon to be.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Out luc off set Joker.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Now, yes, but that's why I again, that's what Murray,
Christian Brown, Cam Johnson, Tim Hardaway Jr. JA do the
depth what they have.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Okay, nobody's disagreement. I don't think that.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
I just I'm gonna Sayhighland like, I just don't. I
wouldn't put my money if we were the bet push
ups against health health to healthy teams, I would bet
more than ten.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Here's my thing. Here's another thing.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
One Lakers are contenders because I think they have a
chance to come out of the West.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I don't think it's an amazing chance, but I think
they have a chance. So that makes them contender to
the to the finals.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Yeah two Lakers could Like wait a minute, where the
Lakers the number two seed? Last year?

Speaker 3 (16:59):
M hm? Though there were three, there were three lost
to a Minnesota says man.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Every year, I swear I'm done stressing over holiday gifts.
You want something personal, but not like too personal. Nobody
wants another random candle or sweater. They ain't even gonna.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Wear facts and it's got to hit the sweet spot.
And that's why all frames is clutch. This is the
easiest win of the holiday season. No scouting report needed.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Listen or frames.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
That's a cheak code if I've ever seen one. You
give somebody one of these digital frames, you're basically gifting
them all the best moments of their life.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
How you gonna top that?

Speaker 4 (17:38):
And look thing that makes it so simple? You get
unlimited free photos and videos. Just hop on the Aura app,
connect to Wi Fi boom, your whole camera roll goes
straight to the frame.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Plus, this might be my favorite part. You can preload
the photos before it even shifts, so the person your
gift thing opens the box, plugs it in and your
memories are already in there. You look thoughtful without even trying. Wife,
you're gonna love this one. Fill up the frames with
photos of our kids. What can be better?

Speaker 4 (18:10):
I love that?

Speaker 1 (18:11):
And you can add a little message before it arrives
too real sentimental if you want to go that route
or petty, I'm just saying options exit.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Nah now, Wife, pop wanting to appreciate the petty Route.

Speaker 4 (18:23):

hand us over at a holiday party, you're automatically the

is like, whenever Lebron or Rich Paul say anything in
public in front of a microphone, they know exactly what

(19:24):
they're doing, calculating.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
I rarely take what they say in public. That's I
don't take it serious.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
It's calculated.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
But I'm like, he's talking past us right now, He's
talking to somebody else through this statement.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
They need to get somebody, y'all y'all are not where
y'all need to be get another big You need to
make a trade. Y'all need to make a move, y'all.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Lebron and Rich Paul say in public as just on
its own, for sure, I'm always look at it as
it's in service of some bigger thing, usually in service
of that that might not be obvious to us right now.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Usually in service of them, like superstars say something. They
put pressure on the front office to make a move
or to douce Riches, and that's it.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Okay, So that's what I gotta got out of again.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
I don't think that's wrong. I don't think he's wrong,
and I think he believes they need to make a
move for them to be contenders.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
I think they already are contenders now. The thing is,
I think he's basing it off the watching old case
because they've set off and you just take okay, see
out of the Lakers, maybe the favorites to win it.
But okay, but.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Yeah, they close.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
It's really it's closed. It's closed Helm of NBA right now.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Yeah, okay, See they just Jesus Christ nineteen and one
against the Western Conference at home.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Of course. I mean they've only lost one.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
They've won fifteen and I mean this is just and
again the second they've got, clearly the.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Second best player they're starting five has played zero minutes together.
I think they had a picture was check Jalen s
g A, lou Dort and Hart and played zero minutes together.
Damn yeah, I think it was them.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Yeah, they got something to aim at.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
Yeah, well again I think they I see Rich doing that.
I think they put together package. Whether it's gay Vincent
and Marcus will try to keep Marcus, but maybe gay
Vince and Marcus smart Van do who a guy that
they haven't played in like six games, Like they're making
good enough money, they'll probably try to get somebody, you know. Yeah,

(21:33):
I think you need some youth, either somebody that's out
and running or another big like it's another stable. But
but I think you need youth wing somebody can run,
just run.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
Yeah they got I mean not just run. They gotta
be able to play.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
It's like it can't just be another Van.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Because he's not. That's not the one.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Them think he's young and he could he's athletics and
he could run. He could do a little bit. He
hasn't shown what.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
He hasn't shown that he can plug and play in
terms of IQ. Yeah, doing it consistently at the highest.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Yeah, Danni Hunter. That's why I said he's similar. I
think they're similar to think. I think he's a more
athletic version. They can go to that land to pick
up some pieces. Yeah, there's some pieces out there they
can get.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
I would have to come up off of one of their.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Draft picks though possibly probably because they don't.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Want to get you.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Two thousand.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
But they have enough money with Vando Vincent Smart, like
they could package those guys. That's enough money to get
somebody if they needed, if they wanted to.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Well, clearly Rich Paul wants him to bro.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
How do holidays sneak up on us like this every
single year? One minute is far next thing? You know?
You got cousins texting you like we pull it up
this weekend. And I'm looking around my house, like do
I even got enough pillows for people to.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
Set them all? They prep be stressful man, last minute gifts,
trying to clean the guest room, finding something to put
up on them, empty walls. I'm like, bro, I live
here every day. Why it do only look messy when
company coming?

Speaker 1 (23:08):
But Look, the holidays are here, and if you need
something fast, Wayfair's got.

room and all that. I don't know how much stuff
they actually had till I got on the site.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Look true story. I had folks coming into town. I
guess when I was looking dry, bare, real college dorm energy.
So I hopped on Wayfair, got some new betting couple,
throw pillows, clean, little accent chair and it showed up
crazy fast, free delivery, no drama. No, your order might
be lat nonsense.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
I've seen that chair too, look like something you ain't
supposed to put your feet on.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Elegant, grown, Why you picked that style anyway?

Speaker 3 (23:49):
Man, I'm trying to upgrade, and Wayfair made it easy.
They got every style, modern, cozy, colorful, simple, whatever vibe
you need. And it didn't kill the budget either.

Speaker 4 (23:58):

my nieces and nephews be running through my bathroom like
it's a water park. Needed that fresh stock for the holidays,
and yo. I was surprised how much they had storage bands,
kitchen stuff, drugs, lamps, even stuff for the kids rooms

(24:19):

because we want you try to make some goddamn money.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
We've been trying to.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Tell y'all stick with us, you're gonna get paid paid.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Dylan Brooks the other night.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Two So we got twenty shots up too, more or less.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Me and Paul said, les, Danny said more.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
He got got up to eighteen, Anthony Edwards twenty eight
and a half drop forty. Paul said, Lets me and
Danny said more, Colin Glex Gillespie more or less than
two and a half three, Paul said, Lets me and
Danny said more?

Speaker 2 (26:12):
And then Anthony Edwards more or less than two and
a half three pointers. Yeah, we all said more.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
We just all thought that he would have to make
the reasons his hit his mark. And yeah, so right now,
since we started counting, Paul's ten and five, so is Danny.
I'm twelve and three somehow damn So yeah, man, y'all
might want to.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Ride the hot hands.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Let's up, Yeah, get your money up. All right, all right,
let's get into the picks of the night, our favorite
part of every show presented by Prize Picks. And first up,
we got the aforementioned thunder at Who's Who's Mark Wallias play.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
For Phoenix Boy Hot at the Phoenix Sun. This is
a tea. We said that we should be talking about
the West. Yeah, let me be one of those matchups.
They're gonna sneak somebody.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
Oh no, you don't think somebody. They're doing well without,
without Book and without Jalen Green and listen, bro, they.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Play, they're playing what you selling, what they do New York.
I got to watch this.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
I look, I'm I admired what they're doing right now
in terms of how hard they're playing that the way
that they play for each other and just playing.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
As a unit.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
So you don't see them being able to, like, say
they match up with a Golden State or Houston. You
don't think at all?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
No, absolutely no Brook Dylan Brooks as a twenty shot
per game guy.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
In right now because that's book and what name has
been out?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Oh Jalen Green, both of them out. Yeah, so Jalen
Green is a twenty shot per game post.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
No, they're gonna get fifteen the piece, but Book on
Book gonna get his. He's gonna be the leader. First,
we're gonna get into the lesbians hooping. Mark Williams is hooping.
They hooping, They got people, Royce O'Neil.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
They look good. But I just like right now, for
like a playoffs, I just I can't. I don't see
them winning a playoff game. I mean a series as that.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
With this unit, I think they I think they could.
Sounds crazy you put the Lakers. I think they're young
enough and youthful enough before they can get these likes. Bro,
you see the other night.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
They're gonna be around cannon fodder. That's who they are.
Gets smoked.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
I'm just hoping that.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Human shield they're gonna get.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Let's make sure we clicked.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Yeah, clip this for the playoffs. We'll go back to
this in April.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
But whatever they accomplished this year is just to make
the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
Great season, they're gonna be top six. Yeah, that's great series.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
That great season. Phoenix makes the player.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
I think they they're.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Gonna be top six and they're gonna be top six.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Wow, wait till they get healthy. Book is just now
coming back. But they've been doing this without Book and
there's be Minnesota without booking jail.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
You know what's happening right now? Dan, let me tell
you what's happening right now and why they're winning early.
Guys are going out in Phoenix right now because in.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Minnesota they don't take the teams.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
They don't take them in Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
They wanted the roads in Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
That's like you don't go out at home, teams go out.
It was a Friday night they played on they outside listen.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
They know exactly who he's been a revelation.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
I'm proud of what he's doing in terms of making
himself a real player.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
But the suns, I'm not saying it.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Let's let's get into our picks of the Night, presented
by Prize Pigs. First, stup, we got chet holme grin
more or less than six and a half rebounds?

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Damn, that's crazy. Seven five.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Though he does.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
Yeah, I get I'm gonna go more. I gotta think
that he's mobile enough, tall enough to get me seven
come on now, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
And I think he's who be guarded. Mark Williams be
the basket a lot. Yeah, so you should. You should
be able to luck into seven rebounds.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Give me more in the seventh.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Damn, it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
I'll go less all right.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Uh, I want to get into shade.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
We could do two shave beds, Shade more or less
than three and a half rebounds.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
I think it is more.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
I think you can stumble a through like the perimeter
rebounders are the better rebounders today because of the long rebound.
Come on, Shae, give me four. I got more.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
I'm gonna go against the grain. I'm gonna go less
here with Shaye. I think he's just gonna concentrate on
running the offense, being an m VY, reigning MVP, and
having a great game.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Mark Williams more or less than seven and a.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Half boards, Damn, I'm gonna go more.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
More.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Okay, Paul, he's been hooping bron go less.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
I gotta get. I gotta make up some ground in
the race.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Give me more.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
It's just, you know, the OKC front line. It shouldn't
be too hard.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
It's gonna be tough for him to play in this game,
for you to get Donna go small, you know what
I'm saying. I don't know if he's gonna get the opportunities.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
I could see it now. Dylan Brooks more or less than.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Nineteen I'm going less crass.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
I want to say less, but it's like I feel
like I he went less. I feel like if I
went less, he's gonna get more. I'm just gonna say
I'm gonna say more.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
I'm going less, going less.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Those are our picks of the night, presented by Prospects.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Make that Money. Y'all.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
All right, guys, let's get into this podcast wars. There's
been a lot of podcast wars.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Everybody's been going back and forth.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Have y'all noticed that we're staying above the frame? Were
not with no other podcasts over here.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
I don't think it, but the topics we sometimes we
start to trend sometimes other teams, other podcasts for the
topic of.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
We haven't called any podcasts or any former players or
anything like that, but there's just so much calling out
going on in the podcast space and Nightcat podcast with.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Sharp Senko. They challenged the five to twenty.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Guys, I don't forget Ice old Joe.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
And I sold Joe.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
They challenged the five twenty guys Jeff Green and his
and his bros.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Excuse me, Jeff Tige to a three on three.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Would be handing all of them. Yeah, you was gonna ask.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
You a little bit, A little bit again, I'm thinking
we will.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Go what you be talking about solid.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
The other two. They look out of shape, looking out
of shape.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Promise you if somebody issued a challenge, I would be
ready to do.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Tomorrow. I'd be like Danny, I might pop it.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
You need like two weeks, two weeks to rap, well,
I'll be fun.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
Won't smoke by twenty. We won't smoke. He he I
he cool because he's still playing the ship. But y'all
O two, Nah, we ain't going, were going, No, we
ain't going. We won't smoke. Oho old show. He in
good shape as a as a athlete, but he just

(33:20):
he don't. He can't play nobody. No, he's Joe, Yes.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Yeah he again. The average age of that pod, Like,
we gotta come on, this is what we're supposed to
be discussing. Like I think they are good, but then
the challenge five twenty. I'm yo, y'all gotta look at
the average age of five to twenty and look at
the average age.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah, twenty is overweight, nightcap is. I'm just saying they
don't want no smoke?

Speaker 2 (33:50):
All right?

Speaker 1 (33:50):
With that said, producer Chris wanted to know what pods
had the best big three in terms of a hoop
tournament and why is it no fouls giving. But I
mean some of the you know, some of the other
pods up there, the pivot, you got d Wade door right,
Chris Johnson.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Giose arena has nothing but former players.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
I think ye'd be that'll be tough.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
Even my god Josiah play at u c L.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Yeah, he's the only non NBA guy and he's a
u c L A guy, shouts Joe Siah Man, that's
my boy.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Matt, Matt and Matt.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
About a third man though, probably the best one.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Yeah, they got mad Max over there now made.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
That'll be good. That'll be good.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
I don't know how much they've been staying in shape
or keeping up with that.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
I know Stag be working out. They'll be tough. They'll
be tough.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Do you think we could be Brunton and Josh Hart.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
We we have to we have to double everybody.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Can't be no current players.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
That'll be very tough.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Williams.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
Yeah, that could guard you cannot guard me in the post.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Jason Williams. We know, like that's never been his man.
Shack and left co plus their producer.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yeah, yeah, shot not moving, no more running around.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
We got them.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
They said, mind the game with Lebron y.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
No, no, no, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, now,
hold on, hold on, we might get them. Hold on, hey, hold.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
On, that was somebody like Steph hol On.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
Threes Yeah, John and Nash and producer. We could get them.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Okay, no, no, no, you got big.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
I don't see why not Bron. Come on, I could
guard Lebron right here, guard him enough. I could. I
could guard to this version of Lebron, double double him.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
We will last have to produce.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
Not lebron last game, but the last three games before
that guard.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
We're definitely clipping that he could.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
I can guard this version of Lebron right now forty one. Yeah,
this version that that's the last January twenty nine, not
that the games before that, but them games that version
for he getting shaked. I got that what they.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
Call that your mouth right checks that you ass can't cash.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
This guy is crazy, man, how he might have a
difficult com guard me? Right now? I'm watching him. I'm
watching him. He can't get up on the can't get
up on his face, and I can shoot from down
their half.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Still if you still got.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
To got jumper, he don't come.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Out on that from we had to play them, you
would have to save a lot of work.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
You'd have to.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Oh yeah, I'm saying, make sure you be talking about
you over the hell. You better have your jumper.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
So one of the producers over there, I used to
work with my guy, my guy.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
Through producer in there, and we got Chris Comes.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Solid, got gotta cracking.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Come on, we got size athleticism, shooting IQ we cracking.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
We solid.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Look, man, there's a reason why every time we play pickup,
somebody want to guard me. Like this game seven some
things just makes sense.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
They've been doing this for over thirty five years, fighting
for the people. People just like us, Just like all
y'all listening.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
When we say large, we mean large.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Morgan and Morgan has over one hundred offices, more than
one thousand lawyers nationwide.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
That's not a law firm, that's a whole squad.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
When hiring Morgan and Morgan, it's like hiring an army
that has your back.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
And the numbers speak for themselves. They recovered over twenty
five billion dollars for more than five hundred thousand clients,
real results like in Florida, one client got like twelve
million dollars after the insurance company only offered three hundred
and fifty thousand, and in Pennsylvania a client ended up

(38:09):
with twenty nine million when the insurer's best offer was
five hundred cap.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
But here's the thing. If you hire the wrong law firm,
you might be beat before the game even starts. All
law firms are not the same, and there's a reason
Morgan and Morgan is America's largest injury law firm.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
If you're ever injured, you can check out Morgan and Morgan.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Their fee is free unless they win.

Speaker 1 (38:37):

That's for the people dot com backslash NFG. Or you
can down pound law that's pound five to nine.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
From your cell. This is a paid advertisement.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
Let's move on, man to a new segment that we
got called Power Moves, presented by Morgan and Morgan.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
And obviously we're gonna talk about just big.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Moves that may or may not or have already happened, okay,
within the league. And our very first segment ever, want
to talk about a report that Sham's put out, Seams
Sharani of ESPN that not only are the Dallas Mavericks
looking to move Anthony Davis, but three teams have emerged

(39:32):
as early potential suitors.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
No crazys is those men just got.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
There, those teams you just.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Got there, clearly I understand. But you know how crazy
it like he's a super to be traded, to be
traded in like four months, as crazy as a top
seventy five, Like he's not over the hell.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
You know what I would say to that, They're no
longer a superstar.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
You're getting traded twice in a year.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Yeah, without say to that, it's blame Nico Harrison.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
It was a hair brand idea to bring a d
there in the first place, and now the new people
in charge.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Trying to fix this thing and getting rid of a DC.
Like I think the world of Ad is a player.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
When he's right, he is a great player man, like
what he brings to a defense and on certain nights,
like depending on the big man matchup, he's like getting
to the foul line, offensive rebound, menace, pick and roll,
just a beast as a role man like Ad is
a great player. However, on this team, he's his talent

(40:38):
to waste it.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Yeah, right, and they do need to.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
Get younger, so I understand why Dallas is doing that move.
But I wanted to ask you, Danny, what do you
I know you think like it's just crazy that AD's
already on the block again, But what do you think
about the three teams that have emerged early to be
like we want to get into the Anthony Davis sweepstakes.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
I like it for. I like it for I mean,
I think Toronto has enough to package to get again.
This all comes down to a d being healthy, Like
I just want up seeing be healthy and actually find
a place that he can do that in. If he's healthy,
all three of these teams would be great for them
as long as Detroit don't have to give up too much.
I feel like as Atlanta, Toronto have more to give

(41:20):
up and not like lose much. I feel like Detroit,
they're gonna want somebody that I wouldn't want to give up.
You know what I'm saying. If you can keep Kid
and Jalen during I told you, like, those are the
two guys to me that are like.

Speaker 4 (41:36):
Me.

Speaker 3 (41:36):
I saw again, I knew I'm getting healthy a D.
If I can keep Jailing and Kid, I'm okay with
giving up some of the other pieces.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
It makes the most sense for Detroit for me, like Atlanta,
I would sit back and let them develop. I don't
want to give up any of the young pieces in Atlanta. Toronto.
I like the young pieces there. I don't want to
get unless I think they can get He can get
me over the top. Detroit, you get Anthony Davis, you

(42:09):
can get to the finals. Yeah, I'm not so sure
about that with Atlanta and Toronto.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
Yeah, so mean because he is an older he's a
move right now guy. That's why Dallas got him.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
It's not like we're gonna build with him.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
No, Atlanta is not trying to win R three years
with him.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
I love the Detroit thing because one, obviously they've shown
they're already, you know, at the top of the East
and can compete with anybody in that conference. But also
they have a guy already who is made to play
with the A D type. As great as a D
is as a player, even as an offensive player, he's
never been somebody who initiates his offense. He's always been

(42:49):
more of a finisher than an initiator. And who better
than Cad Cunningham to be that pick and roll partner.
I think they would have a magical pick and roll together.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
Well, I mean yeah, if you can keep jailing. I
think jailing and him.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
During though kind of calog up the lane.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
That's what little he wants. He doesn't want to play
the five. He wants somebody that he can be a
weak side. You got somebody's weak side blocking shots. But
you can alternate, for sure, you can alternate. But that's
why he loved the Dalla situation with all that front line,
with Gafford and Lively. That's what he liked. That's what
he wanted. So I think Duran is great.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
Ad hates playing center. He's his best position.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
As long as he has another really good big man
alongside and they could play with and mix it up.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
That's what he He was making threes that'd be like, oh,
it's not a big deal.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
But I got a better situation from all these teams
are great. I don't see why Minnesota is not in
the talks right now.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
I think for them it's just a matter of making
nobody's gonna take.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
He's an expiring contract.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Why can't you the guy going out?

Speaker 4 (43:49):
Because if I'm a.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
Team, what is his contract? How many have left us?
I'm taking.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
He's got a player option, But like he's optimate when
you have.

Speaker 4 (44:02):
He don't fit into in Dallas. He don't fit into
Dallas players.

Speaker 3 (44:06):
Nobody, I mean nobody really said the older guys, nobody.

Speaker 4 (44:09):
Want to get a younger You want to get a younger.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
Contract, I said, I just think it would be a
nice fit for him and Edwards and Julius, Like, that'll
be a nice little trio right there. Three year, a
hundred extension through twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
So I'm trying to figure out who opt out.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
It's not even until next summer, even this one, so
he's not even expiring of that.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
Yeah, so that's not a good look.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
Because gotta try to try to trick it, like you
gotta rob.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
You gotta make the deal around Rudy, And they just
don't really have a lot of things to pair with it.
Although again I personally a d next to Julius Randall
with aunt Jaden McDaniels.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
Like that is a that's a squad.

Speaker 5 (45:01):
And but.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Yeah, Detroit has the young guys, they have the draft.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Picks, they have the they can smell and taste bigger
things in their future.

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Already, sound crazy, just a little bit.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
That was a little.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
Bit, bigger success, bigger success.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
Okay, that sounds better.

Speaker 1 (45:34):
From that medium take to a hot take from our god,
Jalen Brown. He had some I thought I thought this
was a pretty nuanced.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
Is it that hot of a take? Because I think
that he.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
Made and I don't know.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
Let me let me just read this statement and hear
what you guys have to say about it, or we
could just watch him say it.

Speaker 5 (45:56):
Bro this new generation, this new era a fly or
is if you want to if you want to be
a great player, you gotta sell your soul. You got
to be a flopper. If you want to be m
v P, you want to be top of the top,
you gotta sell your soul and just be a flopper.

Speaker 3 (46:12):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (46:14):
Y'all tell me what y'all want, What y'all want me
to do, y'all want me to be on that I
could do it. I could start going to practicing, like
working on like like working or throwing my head, you
know what I mean, working on Hey, as soon as
somebody say.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
Hey, I mean again, I don't think it's hard to
take the way you put it. It sounds crazy, but he's
not wrong. Like the guys, the guys that are the
top of the top know how to get to the
free throw line, and they're how to they know how
to sell calls, whether it's Jokis, whether it's Luca, whether
it's Joel Embiid. The only other person that want MVP Jannis,
I mean sga is another one gets to free line.

Speaker 4 (46:54):
Don't you get fined from flopping?

Speaker 3 (46:56):
Now?

Speaker 4 (46:56):
Not really?

Speaker 2 (46:57):
No, no, the post books, but it's never you're supposed to.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Ever, they used to get technical fouls. They do this here,
this is the technical foul flop. They do it for
a week and emphasize it and then they go right
back to they don't call it.

Speaker 4 (47:09):
No one ever ever.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
But again, the only other MVP that I could think
of that has not been in that space of like
he gets fouls because he just doesn't shoot free them all.
But he also tries to bullieve is Giannis. Everybody else
has one MVP knows how to get the sometimes rus flop. No,
but that was that was a long We're in the
twenty twenties. I haven't seen in the new.

Speaker 4 (47:33):
And flops.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Oh God does mb flop.

Speaker 3 (47:38):
He sells the calls jailus hard level. And this again
so before in the twenty twenty the twenty twenties before that,
I mean you said aout rus Katie Like not since
the twenty twenty is and new era.

Speaker 4 (47:50):
Five floppers in the league right now all flopped.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
Harden, really Harden, what Harden your man? Marcus Smart?

Speaker 3 (48:03):
Oh my god, we're not gonna We're not gonna put
the guys get there throws, like actually get free throws
and get called.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
I don't think Shade is a flopper.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
I think calls yeah, and I think he's.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Good at initiating the contact and as soon as it
happens letting.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
You know, Brunson is a major flopper. So you you,
oh my god, flop?

Speaker 4 (48:31):
So who was the first team All flop team?

Speaker 1 (48:33):
Trey Young, Brunson, Uh, EMBD Joker, Jokers, Jokers.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
Gotten his flopping game up. He's there.

Speaker 4 (48:43):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Surprised you put James because James actually gets contact. He
don't really fall, he just gets contact and he's looking
for bron he does. That's not a It's the same
thing as.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
Brown flops way more now than he used to, for sure.
But even Brown look up his free throw numbers. He
doesn't get to the free throw Luca Lucas, Lucas Lucas.

Speaker 3 (49:05):
They are like I'm looking the guys got to free
as Reeves. Yes again, I think Austin and Luca and Shay,
but oh my god, I think I think Austin, Luca,
s g A and Harden. They more so create contact
than they do flop Like you say, flop like a
guy that's actually like on the floor.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
Like yeah, if that's the case. And I think Jimmy Joel.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
Who else is a big.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
Brunson?

Speaker 4 (49:34):
Yes, these are guys. And what we mean by flopping
they kind of snapped their heads back a lot.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Everything extra extra, or like what Brunson does when he
kind of has you in jail after the picking roll
and he stopped short and he's just yeah, like is
Brunton is probably the m v P of the floppers
And I love Brunton, but we gotta call the spade

(50:03):
a space. Just watch the games. This guy's flopping all
over the place. And Jimmy too, Jimmy is egregious.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
Oh man, well but but but wait.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
But to to to Jaylen Brown's point, I think in
order to become a superstar, you have.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
To get to you have to get to the line,
and that's not necessarily not necessarily flopping, but You have
to gotta find ways to draw contact. You have to
make sure when you don't have it going, you gotta
find way to make a guy like make them value,
whether it's you say, Harden, but like going to their body,
make them You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
It's gotten really good. When he's getting down hill. As
soon as somebody touches his shoulder, he's falling away and
he's even finishing that. And I think that drunk files is.

Speaker 4 (50:56):
So big to me.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
The biggest thing is like when the when your your
opponent has kind.

Speaker 1 (51:02):
Of made a three, forced to turnover, got to lay up,
they made another shot, and you kind of feel the
tide is turning, like drawing a.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
File because the quickest way to just stop the run.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
Yeah, yeah, Shade did that against Indiana or I forget
who was, but he did it quite a bit in
certain games when he knew they weren't playing well in
the first half.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
Immediately to the line, I'm drunk contact.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
Down down twelve four, nah, sixteen four, Like nah, I
gotta slow this down.

Speaker 2 (51:28):
Play stops. Everybody kind of just stopped.

Speaker 4 (51:32):
I was on that a lot, Yeah, Like I wasn't.
I wouldn't consider myself a flopper.

Speaker 3 (51:37):
I know a sales started. Did you start to swing through?
Did you start the was you the started did you
start that? I feel like I feel like I have
a little before.

Speaker 4 (51:47):
I think KD was one of the first I.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
Gotta ask around. I think about it.

Speaker 4 (51:52):
Was it swing through guys, Wade, I wasn't on that
I started maybe I.

Speaker 3 (51:56):
Know, like Kevin Martin did it that.

Speaker 4 (51:57):
I wasn't on that. Just the NA like find the armoul.
I would just go right up, just get the contact
strong anyway, So I'm gonna just try to get the contact,
you know, So I wouldn't trying to go through the
KDS up there because I remember when he was young,
he got me a few times.

Speaker 3 (52:16):
With that CP for sure.

Speaker 4 (52:17):
That was like I hated that.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
I hated he was an expert at the cheapest.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
See if you falue on offense, bro. He was another
one that to manipulate the call.

Speaker 1 (52:29):
It be in the back court and he would stop
short in front of a guy and fall down and
get It's like ref the guy was not founding CP
in the back court.

Speaker 2 (52:38):
While he was not a threat to do anything.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
Yeah, but yeah, to to reiterate what Jayleen Brunton said,
flopping getting to the line. Excuse me what Jaylen Brown said,
flopping getting to the line absolutely matters.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
Talking about the MVP, probably.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
About Shade Luca.

Speaker 3 (53:00):
Yes, they are probably brunts and they played them recently,
like he'd probably talking about all of them like bro.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
In order to get to the top. He said, you
got to sell your soul. That's so funny.

Speaker 3 (53:11):
She might even talk about Jokic too, like, I mean,
you know, that's a big he It's hard to play
against guys that try to bully but also flop like
you said, like Joe will bully you, but then you
can't touch like Jok's he's a big body, you can't
fuck it. But then like you get too physical, he'll manipulated.
I mean, it's a chess match out Jimmy said. One

(53:32):
of the best at doing that too.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
Oh the best. Let's get into foul and no foul.

Speaker 1 (53:39):
And I know we've been talking about a lot of
Clippers stuff lately and for six and eighteen team. We
shouldn't be talking about them as much as they can,
but they just am. They just keep making news. And
it was funny to me about the Clippers as well
as like that they're a bigger national team than they
are local in terms of like here in La nobody

(53:59):
really cares. But national media people that cover the sport
naturally like we do, or the guys at ESPN or
Fox or whatever, like everybody's always talking about the I
always just laugh.

Speaker 2 (54:10):
At that dynamic. Anyway, my god, Law Murray of the Athletic.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
Was talking to Tyler about, you know, maybe the Clippers
having a next man up mentality when guys get injured,
and Tyler had this to say.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
He said, if someone's making sixty million and the next
guy is four hundred thousand, it's not the same.

Speaker 4 (54:35):
It's not it's not the same. He's not wrong, it's
not wrong.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
He's not wrong.

Speaker 4 (54:42):
But but what what's my thing is, I'm trying to
figure out what what content context.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
What he's saying, because you see my six and eight
he's saying it's a big drop off from his start.

Speaker 4 (54:55):
Like to other people, the next man ain't ain't next
man up.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
It ain't he ain't meeting him.

Speaker 4 (54:59):
He ain't meeting like he can meet that.

Speaker 3 (55:02):
Well, So some teams have groups that they've empowered, some
role players have gotten like you'll see a guy and Okay, See,
they got a bunch of guys that they've developed. You'll
see some in Golden State. They're talking about Pat Spencer,
who's having a great year right now. He's on a
two way contract making three hundred and eighteen thousand. He's
had him sixteen five and six of the last four games.
You know, some guys can also depends on the system

(55:26):
on a two ways. It's a two way, that's what
I said. Yeah, I mean on a regular contract, no,
but in a two way contract. Yeah. So there are
some teams that have guys. Again, you gotta find the
hitting gems. You got to develop them. But Clipperland, they
all the guys you signed were older, and the guys
that you have that are young, I don't think they
give them opportunity to develop them or even letting them

(55:48):
have the opportunity on the court to like take over
or do something like. I think the guys that they
one of the guys that they had last year thought
was really good. I think it was it was a
mere coffee Yeah, he's just walking out thought he was
really good.

Speaker 1 (56:01):
Walk a mere coffee guy for like three years now.
But for whatever reason, coach like.

Speaker 3 (56:08):
You don't have that you lost a lot of those
guys like Derek Jones, jam is not there right now,
but like those wings and long athletic wings that could
run a little bit, give you some youth. Even those
guys are hurt and you got CP you sent home
Brook Lopez and out of rotation. John Collins is one
of them, but he's kind of by himself out there
as a young guy. Yeah, and then there's a big
drop off from him kawhiing and James to like.

Speaker 2 (56:30):
So you generally agree with the idea of next man up.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
I think if you have a good system or a
good yeah, I think it works. You gotta have you
gotta have a fucking like a good atmosphere, bro like
a winning culture. You gotta have a winning culture. If
you have a set system, you should be able to
you should be able to plug and play some guys
to fill in some voids. Now, if you're missing a
lot of people, okay, that's tough, but if one guy

(56:57):
goes down, you should be able to have two or
three other guys that can like try to pitch in,
like help a little bit more. Oh we need more rebounding.
Zubac is out you know again, I know for Metayer.
For me, it's tough to say because in San Antonio,
we had a lot of hitting gems there, like they
found guy Okay. See, it's like that they found young
hidden gems that they got to play hard developed them.

(57:18):
Even in Toronto we had guys that are good now
that didn't play og didn't barely play for us. I'm
saying like we had Norman fred came off the bench,
So we had guys like that. We had Jay lenn
and Pat McCall like they were on the bench, Jody Meeks.
They were professionals. So if somebody sat out, you better
believe they could be able to fill in the spot
for a good ten to fifteen minutes to make sure
you're okay and stay afloat as long as you have

(57:39):
at least one or two other guys.

Speaker 4 (57:41):
They're not talking about minutes.

Speaker 1 (57:42):
That's what I want to ask you, though, Like what
do you think Tyler is getting at when he's making
this statement, Because I think what he's saying is Kawhi
Leonard is not played this season, and this idea that
we just get a guy to come in and replace
what Kawhi Leonard is supposed.

Speaker 2 (57:59):
To be doing.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
I just think he's saying they're very top heavy. They're
very reliant on the guys that they paid the most
money to, and when those guys sit out, it's a
big drop off if you don't have the balance. If
you're not, it's a big drop off. You gotta have
some balance of mid level guys. If you don't have
mid level guys, you're gonna be cheeks when your top
guys are you say this, if you eighteen, probably not.

(58:20):
It's probably not because then you probably have somebody next
man up playing well to win the game.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
Twelve and six, you're like, it's the next man. Enough
mentality in here.

Speaker 1 (58:28):
But when you're six and eighteen and the losses each
losses worse than the next, He's like, ain't no next man.
We don't got the next man. We are a man
at this point, and so you gotta you gotta feel
for Taylu But like at the same time, man, you
know it's the game.

Speaker 2 (58:49):
Injuries are part of the game. Kawhi Leonard has been
injured basically since the day they signed him.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
He kind of started the very first year nineteen twenty
was on a minutes restriction and watching his load management stuff.

Speaker 3 (59:03):
And all of that, and so you know, I think
he played his most minutes most games that year too, though,
but he played He's probably played half the games this year.
We'll see how they end up. But even when he plays,
they just don't have enough, Like they don't have enough
to where they can even get through to fourth court.
Like they have good first halves or first quarters, by

(59:24):
that third quarter, they just look older by second halves.
And they just need some youth and some mid level guys.
I don't know, find some go to Charlotte and find
a Grant Williams or something like that, a pick and
pop guy or something. Even say you got to find
a mid level guy that can.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
Would you say they need some guys that could stand
on business. Let's move on to stay you go business.

Speaker 3 (59:47):
In good segue.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
Because Jalen Williams missing.

Speaker 3 (59:53):
All of these games early nineteen of them four games,
he's only played five, four to five games.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
He's already missed the requirement for All NBA, which if
he would have made All NBA this year.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
And would have easily made it too, probably especially with
the way that they're.

Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
Getting to All NBA guys.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Yeah, a seventy something went paced so forty eight million
is getting lopped off of his extension, which you know,
over the course of five years, that's about ten million.

Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
Per lucky to okay, seeing Sam perk, good for them
saving some money.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
And so okay, as a result, Okayse's going to be
saving an extra forty eight plus all of the young
guys that they're going to be coming in coming in
with the draft capital that they have in their possession.
And I don't know, like Lebron is also a game

(01:00:56):
away from being ineligible.

Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
What do you like? I thought this rule was kind
of overkill, Like what do you think about.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
This rule in general in terms of the awards season
making guys ineligible for.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Missing I think it was necessary, man, but especially with
today's game and how guys were sitting out and missing.
You should not. Now, okay, you can go to sixty games. Cool,
I'm okay with that, But there was guys that were
missing only playing like missing thirty games. Like if you
only play.

Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
Fifty games, fifty games? Yeah, come on, all defensive, right,
Like for.

Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
A guy that played for a guy that plays sixty
seventy games and another guy's playing forty five fifth Like
that's happened before, and I seem like there's gotta be
some type of standard.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
I think for the.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
Most part who was getting voted in were guys in
the sixties.

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Like the rare exception.

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
I remember at the time somebody did a study about
who actually gets voted. It was rare that a fifty
three game guy was actually getting voted.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
I think Adam was just kind of lashing.

Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
Out at the guys, saying out like people just trying
to take a lot of restling, a lot of guys
taking load management nights, like this is how you kind
of his way to try to monitor that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Yeah, so do you think we should take it to
sixty though maybe sixty five might be a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
Sixty two. Sixty two, that's the number.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
Sixty two.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
So you give miss twenty games a nice round number.
You missed twenty games, sixty two, We'll still let.

Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
You get all NBA.

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
But again, I'll give you a I said, if a
guy missed about one or two, like you get a
graceful one or two games, saying, but the standard should
be sixty two. If it's one or two games, then
maybe if he's that great.

Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
Look Raymond made all defensive saying forty six games.

Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
Bro what year is that?

Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
Bro?

Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
Ta your boy ta? I recall it's like it was yesterday,
Tony Allen, I think he sat. He missed hell a
part of the season. I'm trying to get a defensive
team will come back round of playoffs, get five steals
against Golden State first team first team. But not that
he couldn't play defense. He can strip up me. He

(01:03:08):
should be long the first team. But I think he
only played like forty games. He would played forty games,
forty five games that year, And I'm gon how to
fucking get first team to be barely fucking played this year?

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
In both seasons, Quil O'Neill played fifty nine games two
thousand and six.

Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
That in forty eight games. It's crazy fifty one games
for d way like Shack fifty nine games. Okay, that's
a little bit, but it's close. But like again, the
ones that's like below fifty low sixty, Like the fifty
nine is okay, but fifty two, forty six, forty eight.

Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
What the list has shown you, though, is that it's rare.
It's like you can count it on one hand.

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
Who had no I think there's more than this. I
think these are just examples. These are just top examples.
There's a lot more than this, because even back in
the day, I think there was guys that were voted
in yeah, that didn't play that many games because when
it came out, they're like, oh well so.

Speaker 1 (01:03:57):
So even you see like the twenty twelve with d Wade.
That's a lockout shortened season, was it? Yeah, twenty twelve
was a lockout season where it was only sixty six games.

Speaker 3 (01:04:12):
Mhm.

Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
So you know, fifty one out of sixty six is
pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
I mean forty nine, yeah, forty nine, you know, forty
nine out of sixty out of sixty sixty because the
first one is oh six, oh seven, that's fifty one.
Oh sorry, yeah, twy two twelve, Yeah, the lockout did
happen two thousand.

Speaker 2 (01:04:32):
So we can already slice that out.

Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
That's one sixty six.

Speaker 4 (01:04:37):
So yeah, I like the round number of sixty two though,
sixty two.

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
Let's get it to sixty two, Adam, Yeah, I ain't
nothing wrong with that.

Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
We we kind of like the rule.

Speaker 1 (01:04:46):
We want to make a small tweak to it. If
you could change one rule in the NBA, what would
it be for you, Paul?

Speaker 4 (01:04:54):
If you can change one rule.

Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
You could make a new rule or change a rule
for me.

Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
One of the rules that I would tweak is the
block charge. I think we call way too many charges.

Speaker 3 (01:05:06):
That's how you change it, bro, In order.

Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
For offensive file to be called, like, it needs to
be an egregious like.

Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
This guy.

Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
If he's in place in the guy, I'm saying, Bro,
that's not just that's not a.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
Defense contest, get your hand up contest.

Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
So you don't like that basketball play as like you
don't that whole the guy stands only a charge of
somebody runs over it pushes off like.

Speaker 1 (01:05:35):
Really badly to like this idea that you just get
underneath a guy who's in the air and now they're
looking at the instant replay like what's he there?

Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
Already?

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
Was it? Like? Bro, let me tell you something, what
that ship is?

Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
That takes away a lot from the smaller guys by
the way, too bad.

Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
Bro play defense? Like what that?

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
What that call reminds me of the way they call
the blocks. Especially in the NBA is all professionals and
high school. We played in the best league in New
York City, right. We had a bunch of white guys
on our team and coach Leary was like, Bro, Like St.
Francis Press coach, Leary was like, Bro, these kids are.

Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
Way faster, way more athletic than you, guys.

Speaker 1 (01:06:17):
This is how you gain get some of that back
by embracing this sort of scrappier draw charges kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
On the high school level.

Speaker 4 (01:06:28):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
And to make it a little bit more of.

Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
A level play what about college.

Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
In college, get that shit out of here. They're getting paid.
I don't want to hit that ship in the NBA. Like,
I'm sorry, bro, some little scrappy dude shouldn't just be
able to run underneath the guy and get the call
the other way.

Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
And a lot of times I think some of these,
you know, some of the contact that happens down low,
a lot of times I think it should be a
no call at all, not even like, oh, call it
on the defense or call it on the I think
a lot of it should just be a play on.
We're guys are like, you know, there's some contact that happens.
Of course, the defendive falls on the floor. This this

(01:07:08):
contact of collision sort of feels like he has to
make a.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
Call, bro, no call, Bro.

Speaker 4 (01:07:14):
I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (01:07:15):
Actually, I'm surprised that, I think, But thinking about it,
you make a very good valid point and that's definitely
some duke ship. They're taking charge roh. And I only
saying this because I was more of a guy that
contest shots. I wasn't a charge guy. I was more
of a contester or a shot like you were playing.
So it was like, Yo, we're gonna try to contest
a shot.

Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
But for me, the rule changes that I think would
change a lot of the league. It's not just like
one rule, but if they can find a way to
eliminate the foul bating like you said, the flopping foul,
but like this ship should not be a kicking of
the leg, jumping backwards, jumping sideways. It should be automatic
either watching them on the floor or should be automatic
offensive fl like you lose the ball. They're not doing

(01:07:56):
enough of the technical they're not doing the technical foul
on the flopping. But if they can change the faull
beating and guys going out of their way to draw
a contact and then flopping because a lot of times
guys are just throwing their body into guys and falling back. Nah, bro,
that was And if you're not going to do that. Then,
I think to speed the game up the G League
rule of the one for two till two minutes, because

(01:08:17):
nobody wants to see free throws all oh god, yeah,
but more so for me, it's just changing the fall
beating situation.

Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
I can change one rule. I would uh, I will
implement feeble rules, okay, implement like the Olympics. Olympics like that.
I would implement that more because I mean, we're moving
more and more to European basketball anyway, the way we play,
and I.

Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
Do think shift certain stuff to the defense more.

Speaker 3 (01:08:47):
It's more offensive bias. That's why I said something more
something Yeah, yeah, that's I like that though, because those
are the rules that they play in Olympics. Why not
play universe?

Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Another thing to replay, get it out of my game.

Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
It just seems to be a time they need. They
need a time limit on it. You get challenge for
the game, start the clock. It got one minute to
make the call, right, You know what I'm saying. If
you don't have the call, call what you think. If
it's none of evidence to change it, keep it what
the call is.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
I think replay is stupid, just in general, do you
guys remember growing up, like after a miscall or a
bad call out of bound up, but like you thought
about it for weeks and months.

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
And years after no nobody gave us ship.

Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
Bro, Like these bad calls miss calls will even out
over the court. I believe that, Bro, Like, I'm sorry,
it's human error. To me, that should be part of
the most of the.

Speaker 4 (01:09:44):
Time when they make.

Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
This whole like, no, we need to get every single
call right.

Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
It's so dorky until until somebody's getting hosed like it is.
Sometimes it is lopsided.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
Everybody's gonna get hold everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
Everybody is at some point, I get that everybody's going
to be the victim of home cooking.

Speaker 3 (01:10:03):
Everybody's gonna be but for the host for the whole series.
Like know what I'm saying, What if they can hold
the whole series? Nah, Bro, that can change the.

Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
Whole lake is Sacramento?

Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
Oh two?

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
When is that really happened? I guess some people wy
might give me Dallas six.

Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
A lot of people would say that Christian Bro the
d Wade Finals.

Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
I've seen some bad situations happen in the entire series.
In the entire series, like last two minutes. Like multiple
back to back fourth quarter two minute drill issues have happened,
and I've been a part of it. I've been a
part of it. When san Antonio was like, yo, every
two minutes, last two minutes old, they said they missed
this calling. What the fuck?

Speaker 4 (01:10:44):
I don't want to even see that the report.

Speaker 3 (01:10:46):
I'd rather not because you ain't changing it. But if
you had to reap, we didn't have the challenge.

Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
Out of here.

Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
So you're you want you love the challenge, and.

Speaker 3 (01:10:53):
I don't mind the challenge. You should get one a half,
but make it quicker. You got one minute of victor
should happen, and then referees get a chance to decide
in the last minute, so if they feel like they
need to review, get the ship right. I'm not with
chaos because now we're getting motherfuckers, like everybody's it's technical fouls.
Motherfucker's cussing people out. Get the ship right. At least
we looked at it and said, you know what.

Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
The last minute of the game, I'm cool with it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Of a close game, that's not enough. Every possession matters.

Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
Get these replays, well, I.

Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
Mean that's pretty much good for the league. But I
do say this though about college. They need to start
going to quarters now too. Like everybody, everybody's done quarters.
Women's women's basketball does quarters not like why else they're
doing has like they should quarter game.

Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
