Speaker 1 (00:20):
What's up, y'all?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Welcome to No fouls given, presented by prize Picks. I'm
big wise and you guys know these NBA legends to
my left, to my right, Paul Pierce, Danny Green, what's
good Fellas?
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Why is it not Woes?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
It actually is Woes.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
That's the ethnic way to say it. I'm Haitian, So
that's how you would say it. If you people say
it in Hatitian creole.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
People have been like, not pronounce your name correctly.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
It's kind of just the Yankee way to say so
I just roll with it.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
If you're not Haitian. I don't really expect you to
know how to say my ship right. But that's crazy
that you got it right on the first try. Haitians
and Englewood probably probably, I know. In Boston, it's oh
my god, it's a lot of a lot of Boston
(01:15):
in Boston.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Man. Hype to be on the show with you guys today.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Man, it's been a long time coming for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Super hyped about the season so far. It's been really exciting.
But man, let's just get right into it.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
There's been a lot of hot starts to start the season,
a lot of scoring a lot of forty balls, triple doubles,
a lot of Wimby. But before we even get into Wemby,
I want to talk about Giannis because I think this
is like a pivotal year for him.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
There's like a lot of trade stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Swirling for the Bucks, not really for the Bucks. I
would say both Janni is valid certified, he had the contract,
the Bucks got to key him, so fair.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
That's that's a great way to look at it.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
But like he's come out and if there was any doubt,
like this guy is taking his job serious and it's
still one of those ones like it's been kind of
crazy to watch.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Oh no, it's never been a doll with Giannis. He
just he has that personality. You know, he don't strike
me as a guy that does it for the money.
You know, he wants to win, like and you see
that at his play every year. And like you said,
it is pivotal because I see a guy that want
to win and he's looking around and see if he
got the teammates and the coaching staff or the ownership
(02:33):
that are they committed to winning.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
If not, it could be some changes in Milwaukee.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Telling you, I mean before the season started out I
thought Milwaukee was not gonna be good. I thought they
were going to say say trash, but I thought they
were right there, you know what I'm saying. But tonight's
win against the Knicks, it shows you that one of
the Knicks got ways to go, and they got to
figure out some things with Mike Brown, like the chemistry,
the continuity, like it takes time. And I don't know
(03:00):
if they used to playing his type of basketball yet,
his style of play, but Giannie has let it be
known he's still very much an MVP caliber player and
can will his team to beat anybody, especially in the East.
Is so wide open. Yeah, for them to beat the Knicks,
so they they're very much capable of being one of
the top teams in the East, and that he can
do it. And you know, it looks like Milwaukee, the
(03:22):
way they're starting out, might be able to keep him.
You know, it doesn't look like he needs to go
anywhere right now. You know, the cat don't look too
happy in New York. Looks a little frustrated, you know.
And I don't know if it makes sense. I mean,
for Gianni is enticing to go somewhere else like that,
But if the Knicks ain't doing what we expect him
to do. Why would I want to go there?
Speaker 1 (03:42):
So I think it's a little early to be like Jannis.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
The three and one's a great start, and again I
underestimated him definitely coming into the season. But like for me,
this feels like a Westbrook in twenty seventeen situation when
he's okay, see yes, first year after k D left
the triple double average, Yes, where it's a very limited
team and he gets to put up crazy numbers. Like
(04:09):
Giannis is leading the league in scoring. Damn they're leading
them in rebounding.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
There's a big difference. Though Russ was in the West
and the West was tough, THEES is wide open. You
worry about Cleveland and New York, and you just prove
you could beat New York, which again it's early season,
so we're not seven game series. But Russ was in
the West and he wasn't winning a bunch of games.
So if Gianna's keeps up and they continue to win games,
it'll be a different story.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
As long as you.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Got the top five of top five player all your team,
you're a contender. I mean, think about it. Think about
all the champions like like the last few years. You
think about Shay MVP a joker. The year before that,
I think the year before like you got him Steph
Stephan before you got a chance to win.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
So it's Tatum is always the top five m VP
caliber guy.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
So like my thing is, I don't think as constructed
unless you know some of these other guys step up
and emerge that haven't emerged before.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Some of the young guys they got.
Speaker 6 (05:10):
They need to make one solid move because you need
guys you can depend on. I know the East is
down and you gotta be good and lucky. But like
teams like New York, even though New York lost, I
like New York in the playoff setting versus in right now,
Yeah for sure, I like Cleveland in the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
Sel I got to question people, who what do you
they need to make them? What do you think they
need though if they make a move, what do you
think they're missing?
Speaker 6 (05:32):
They need somebody that can count on who can create
like every another score I can I can pin him
in on a bad night to like have be good.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Okay, you know what I'm saying. I feel like on
the bench Bobby Porters is pretty solid. Miles Turner. They
got him, but he's not.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Heeter miss him. With some of these guys, they got
to figure it out who's their second best player.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
It's up in the air.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
You never know.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
It could be by Reports, could be my turn, it
could be Cools, it could be Gary Anthony Cole has
a Knight. I said, you're right, they need a solidified
second second.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
If John, I mean he's gonna ninety nine percent of
the time for that one percent, Like you always need
role players to win you that one game. Like I
seen Danny Green win games in the finals in the playoffs.
He took the pressure off the starts. Who can do
that for them if you're making a deep playoff run.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I don't think this that team exists, and I'm I
think it's dope that they've had a great start, a
fast start, But I would still be surprised.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
If they won a first round series.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Yeah, I will still be at Yeah, you'd be surprised
they win one round.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Yes, I think I can win one round.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
When y'all come on, bron get you around, to.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Get you around.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
I'm not saying in the East. Still think about the
East New York. Yeah, they're gonna be top half. So
so you say they get home court, they in the
top four.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
They got to finish above Orlando, Detroit, Atlanta.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
And I'm not scared of Nonoe.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Of that.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Atlanta, I'm not buying right now. Orlando, I'm not said Detroit.
All three of those teams look really shaky right now.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Sure, and the Bucks look amazing right now.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Philly looks good. New York is solid, Cleveland solid. Those
are the only three teams that I'm like. Even in Philly.
They got to stay healthy, Sleep the only two teams
that I'm seeing that Philly sleeper.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
They are sleeper to come out of the East, to
come out of the whole East.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Because if they're playing right now, well without Joel being healthy,
they got something, especially with Edgecomb and we get Jared
McCaine back and Paul George. Yes, again, if Milwaukee is
the top four seeded team, even if they're top five,
they're top six, you don't think they could beat.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
I'd be surprised if they want a first round series.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Against the against like Orlando. They don't think they could
be Orlando like Giannis can be Orlando.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
I just think they're just more limited outside of the
Giannis thing in a playoff content context. Like I think
in the playoffs, it's like we've seen this happen to
Giannis with better players around him, with teams lock in
on what it is that he's doing, and it's like,
all right, Giannis, you gotta do this for forty four minutes,
create every single shot for yourself and every single person
(08:16):
on your team.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Yeah, Like that's been pretty usually usually to Miami. Usually
to Miami team that knocks. You got Jimmy, but he's
start which we're gonna give me not there no more
Taler heroes. So I'm it's been okay, but I don't
think there's any more Miami Jimmy's that's happening to Milwaukee.
But I do, I do, I get what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
In the past, it hasn't been impossible.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
I think it tops down to coaching and what what
Doc is going to do for them in the playoffs
at the end of the day. So I think Doc's
out coach whoever that first round matchup is, which is
I think they can get I think they can get
around with.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
So you guys are sold on the bucks being.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
Over I'm not here. That's over achieving for you.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
And getting I think this Bucks team is would be overachieving.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Arguably the best player in the league. Yeah, he's a
top for arguably m V Like I gotta I gotta
ride with that, you know.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Overachieving, I say, I think that's like that's what they expect.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
They should be expected to win the first round series
this year.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
They expected to get to the playoffs and at least
win rue round. You got if he's still on the
team by playoff time, like now they could have a
dive and now they're talking trade deadline like he's trying
to get moved. But that's if he's still on that
team and they're doing okay in the eastings, if.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
They get to the Eastern Conference playoffs, the real playoffs,
not the playing y'all think they should be expected to
win a round depend on that matchup.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
See now now you said you said playing so like
if they drop again, if they at the bottom, they're
winning like they are winning.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Finished within the top six of the East.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
I think if they get home court advantage that they're
gonna play the bottom half of the league. Like think
about the bottom half Charlotte like sneaking in Miami, sneaking
it like they can beat those teams.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
To me, no, no, no, I think they can't.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
I just don't think they're actually over the long the
long tail of the season. I don't think they're gonna
finish in.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
The top half.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
But like, you know, maybe not.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Let's keep let's keep my eye on this, guys, like,
let's monitor this situation.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Y'all, love Milwaukee. I'm still on the fence.

Prize Picks is good to be right, Philly. Yeah, they're
(11:34):
also off to a crazy hot start. They're freaking undefeated.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Yeah, had an insane comeback tonight.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
One's not going out tonight.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Tyrese Maxi is shot out the gate.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, like a freaking canon fifty percent from three. He's
one of the best shooters in the NBA. It's it's
kind of crazy somebody that quick athletic is one of
the league's best shoots.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
He's averaging thirty seven points. That's that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Seven assists.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
The rookie VJ. Edgecombe is just that's.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
Been supposed to bro He's showing He's showing a lot
of maturity and That's what I like about him the most.
He's not backing down. He's not shot shooting a shot
like he and nothing taking away from.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
He's not. He doesn't seem rushed like on the pick.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
And roll, like getting good minutes from the other guys too.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
I had a chance to watch him in Boston.
Speaker 6 (12:25):
I was at the game live, and a lot of
what y'all already said his maturity, because I'm looking at him,
like some shots he could have took most rookies would
have took.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
He was making the extra pass, he was making the
right shot.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
I'm gonna tell you something, if he turns out to
be who we think he can be by the end
of the year, Philly is the most.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Talented team in the East.
Speaker 6 (12:49):
Because listen, like, if Joel Embiid is your second best player,
that's saying a lot.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
That's saying a lot Tyra and Joe and then he
also and they haven't got Jared McCain back yet either,
So it was, yeah, top of the bottom, could have
been rookie year last year Jared McCain. But yeah, he's
just so explosive. Brou he called a lot off balance.
I don't know how did in the Boston. I was like,
I didn't know, I don't know what was going on.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
How was that?
Speaker 4 (13:19):
And landed it and not like it was a regular
day and neighbor, I'm like, nah, he's different athletically.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
He he definitely jumps off the page.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
It's kind of crazy when I think about it, because
I think a lot of people thought Scoot Henderson was
that kind of athlete, yeah, coming into the league, and
it's kind of been proven that he's not.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Like, he's not that like world.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Class, like, bro, you can't stay in front of him
and he's going to like jump out the gym, you know,
a sort of Westbrook d Rose like IM.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
I don't want to get crazy.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
But that's what they compared him to right time.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
But it's just been remarkable, remarkable to watch.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
And I do want to call out Quentin Grimes, who
I think has had a great start to see.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Yeah, it felt like they played like crazy hardball with
these kids.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Again it said they have they're getting good minutes from
other guys. Uh Bona like he was right for them
later in the stretch, freaking Kelly, you know what I'm saying,
Like Grimes and Tyres brought them back, but Bona was
the one that kind of like made the plays down
the stretch to get them over the hump to win. Uh.
(14:24):
But yeah, they're making winning plays. Man, It's said Philly
Like like he said, they can go pretty far in
the East if they if they get healthy and start
clicking at the right time. They have, they have the talent.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
I think they got the best back quart to the East.
Speaker 6 (14:40):
DJ ho come uh uh edgeb if he's Rookie of
the year, They're coming out of the East so.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Games into the season, I'm saying, if he's the year.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
He's gonna have to be Rookie of the Year. Though,
Like he's getting enough opportunity, enough shots where ain't nobody
like my pick. I was trying to strategically pick my
rookie of the Year. I looked at Dylan Harper, I
looked at Coop. They're surrounded by so much talent. I'm like,
they're not gonna get a lot of opportunity early on.
I looked at Edgecomb and I was like Joelle and
Tyrese and Pjpg and then Jared mccannam like he ain't
(15:14):
gona get no shots. But a lot of those guys
are out he's gonna plenty, gonna get an opportunity in Utah.
He's let him go. He's not getting the minutes there,
but like VJ is getting the opportunity right now in Philly.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
So before we move off of Philly, just I want
to know what y'all think Joel has to show you
in order for you to be like because to me,
I don't think this is a serious conversation if Joel
isn't playing okay. So in terms of progress on the court,
what do you want to see from Joel this season
(15:48):
going into the playoffs where it's like, you know what,
he's gonna go to the playoffs and be an impact player.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
I gotta see his just his body, like his movements.
I'm watching him. The points he's put up, good nomers.
I don't the numbers don't matter.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
He's a genius.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Aid that he's gonna he's gonna. He's just his I
Q he's gonna get you twenty and ten regards, like
he's gonna get to the freeth the line, he's gonna
get his jumper. How he's moving on screens and defensively,
and I've seen he's kind of reluctant to do certain
things Joelle when he's yes, he was when Joel was
locked in, and he's like you're seeing him in Boston
a couple of years ago, able to protect the rim.
(16:23):
When he's able to do that, and he showed me
he can do that, that's when I know he's back
and they're gonna be contented. If he's able to.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Still be able to move on defense laterally and just at.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
The rims he's not because there's no way Czar should
be getting dunks in the game, Like, oh, Joelle, ain't
letting that happen. You know what I'm saying. Nobody's getting
laught dunks, Like there's too many free baskets, not regular seasons.
He might be coasting, but even coasting in the past,
he would.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Still especially when a young kid kind of tries to
go as you.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Still he would do white side every time they played,
Like if a young kid tries to come at you like,
got to show improved.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
I think he's not trusting his body yet.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
What I want to see from Jewel Embiid is when
his minutes go up. I want to see because you know,
he complained about his minutes and he can't be productive
in the minutes he's getting well, Seaney can't when he
started his minutes start to go up. Can he accept
the fact to say, hey, this is Maxi's team? Yeah,
because you know, you know.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
When you've been to MVP in this league and you've
been dominant.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
Force the process since you can you accept the fact
that this is like his team now?
Speaker 4 (17:30):
Because I think he's I think he's I think he's
passing the torch show. I don't. I'm not saying that
he doesn't care, but I think he's like, Okay, are.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
You cool with this rookie what he's doing?
Speaker 6 (17:43):
You know what I'm saying. Can you come to practice?
Can you come into the game and be like, Okay,
it's the rookie and the young guy's night, or do
you have to.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
Be that guy you feel like?
Speaker 6 (17:51):
You know what I'm saying that that's gonna be the
key as the season goes along for them.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
As pretty much, is he gonna be able to play
winning basketball? Yeah, that's pretty much what you're saying. Is
he gonna be able to adapt to tojust because that's
what it's going to take for them to be a
winning team?
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Like, yeah, he has to give himself to something that
doesn't involve dropping thirty.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Yeah, exactly, and we'll see if you could do that.
But I do because I feel like there's been so many.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Surprising results as the season has started. One of the
things that shocked me.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
The Heat not only just off to a three and
one start, the fact that they are the fastest paced
team in the league, right like the Miami Heat, top three,
top five in the offensive efficiency, Like that's kind of
crazy to see. And the Sixers being four and oh
again I thought they were headed for the lottery again.
(18:43):
But like the fact that these guys are four and
oh and their young guys are doing that.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
I'm just I'm just super surprised about that.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
Yeah, what's more shock un to you the.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Miami piece, the Miami like the style of play, because
I don't know, I guess I'm just so used to
spol when one kind of thing where it's.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Kind of like the half court offense and the beautiful
game and the ball movement and all of that.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
But now they're just like, Bro, we're gonna play it.
We're gonna be like the Pacers last year. We don't
have a Hall of Burton. We're just doing it collectively.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
Damn is shooting three and this is what Taler be out.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, and this is what Tyler hero being.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
I feel like a lot of times that he'd be
having the best moments when Taler heroes not there.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
But whatever.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Both both are shocking to me. But I think if
you would have told me what the Sixers schedule was,
I would say, you know, they have Boston is not Boston.
They could have beat Boston DC. So but I think
they could have been those team teams Miami being number
one and fastbreak points and then be in New York. Yeah,
you know without Taler hero tough, that's like that. But
(19:46):
both both are surprising to me. But Miami said being
in a down year being number one in pace and
fast break points and points per game and rebound the
top three in points and rebounds per game. That's that's
shocking to me. I suppose got some he's got those
guys in a well.
Speaker 6 (20:02):
It's not shocking for me that that's one of the
top personel though still he's still he's shown me he's
one of the top two or three coaches over the
last six seven years. So that's not surprising me that
Mihami team he led to the finals as a as
a playing team. I mean, come on, that's that's just
typical right here. So that's not surprising me. Philly is
(20:23):
surprising for me because when I come into the season,
PG not playing McCain's not playing Embeid is on minutes restriction.
You know, no, by no means that I think Maxie
will be as dominant as and a rookie out here,
taking all the shine away from a guy who we
already held as one of the best rookies to come
(20:43):
in in Cooper Flag.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
And so you know, that's that's shocking for me right now.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
So some other major storylines to start the season, okayc
looks like okay, see even without ju Yeah, I mean
shay Is you know, he's gonna carry a load on
offense kind of no matter.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
What, they've been in a lot of close games, Bro,
they look like, Okay, they're winning games, they're five and zero,
but they've been some really close games and without jub
of course, okay, it's without j But there are some
kids that have been surprised that k Aj Mitchell has
been been really good.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
He was getting finals minutes, which is just crazy, Like
like a lot of people who love the NBA have
never even heard of a kid and now he's in
a prominent role. Of feels like these young kids just
grow on trees for these guys, and it's kind of
like a plug and play situation.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
I think through the draft, bro, they got a lot
of goal through the draft. They've drafted very well.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
And they're still guarding the hell lot of people, which
is to be expected.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
And yeah, I'm not surprised that the games are a
little bit closer, but they do kind of got that
championship pedigree, and you guys can speak to this that
year after you win the championship, you kind of take
a different approach to the regular season.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
It's even harder on p knows this like you had
a bigger target on your back. Yes, everybody's giving you
their best shot. Hence why they're in those close games.
Sack had this game then, I don't know how they
fumbled it. Rust been playing well too. Russ had eighteen
other night, sixteen a night like coming off the bench
with the Kings. But the Kings are up the whole game.
They don't make sense to me. They're like their roster build,
(22:22):
what they.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Got going on. But it's an unbalanced squad.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
But they were They were supposed to win that game tonight.
But champions that they find a way to win. Man,
and they got Aaron Wiggins giving him a plus, you know,
Sja doing what he does. Aj Mitchell knocking down shots
like Alex Scrusso, hitting the game win like three ball
give give them the lead. So they find it in
many different in various ways. Lou Dort, you know, doing
what he does. So are they the favorite and ret
(22:48):
with the West?
Speaker 2 (22:49):
To me, I mean, yeah, yeah, it seems like you
guys look at the East as a toss up.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
It's going through the West.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
It's ok C the clear favorite to come out of
the West.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Is without a doubt. They're young, they got better.
Speaker 6 (23:04):
And what I mean by that within the development because
when I'm seeing from Chet Hong girl, he looks better,
you know, when I'm seeing from gods like women Wiggins,
he looks better. And SGA is gonna be Sga. The
thing about when you come off a championship, and I
remember the year after we won, and you can attest
to this, Uh, Danny, we didn't think we can win anymore.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
We knew we can win.
Speaker 6 (23:28):
You know what I'm saying, we'll look up, we be
down fifteen, Yeah, we got it.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Just walk them down.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
You're no fear of losing. Like, there's no fear of losing.
You're always in the game. Now, you're always in the game.
Speaker 6 (23:45):
Listen, all right, we're gonna cut this down to ten
at the end of the third, then by like six
minutes to go in the fourth, we're just gonna be
down to and we got this.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Don't worry about it.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
What do you think that is?
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Do you think that's just as a group, you've come
through so many different situations that any situation feels doable.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
When you win a championship, eighty two games on the
playoff run, you've been in everything.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Are the battle pressure?
Speaker 6 (24:09):
Yes, Like you don't get you don't panic, right, you
know what I'm saying. Like we we was down twenty
to the Lakers in LA in the finals, were like,
all right, we're gonna walk them down.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
Eddie House and race.
Speaker 6 (24:20):
We're gonna race this league. So you go through stuff
like that in the regular season, you're like, we're down
twenty to them.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
What we're doing in the.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
Time out, this is the conversation. What we're doing, were
barking each other. Let's stop playing.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
And that's what I feel like.
Speaker 6 (24:34):
Okay, see saying they you know, they first game of
the season, they down all game, in the last four
minutes overtime, SGA hit big shots.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Oh let's go home. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Now.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
They're a clear favorite, for sure, and it is a
batt especially when you bring the same group back to following.
A lot of groups don't get a chance to keep
the same team together, entire the same group, you know
for the following. You're just that much more confident in
your crew here and no fear of anybody else out there,
always in the game. But I will say, even though
they are a clear favorite, I think there's some teams
(25:05):
that are close. I do believe that Denver I think
is really close, even though they lost the Golden State
the other night. I like the pieces that they picked
up what they got, and I think I think Golden
State has been playing really well lately.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Man.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
I'm not saying that they're close, but I think they're
playing really well. There's a matchup problem for certain teams.
I don't think they match up for OKC, but their
matchup problem for like a Denver maybe.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Yes, I think they're a tough matchup for Denver because
I just think they're the only team that Denver just
they're gonna have a hard time stopping them, because like
whenever they do the shit where they bring Joker out
to thirty fucking feet, it's like, bro, what it is
he's really supposed to be doing against Steph Curry in
that moment?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Right?
Speaker 2 (25:52):
I think that's the only team that kind of presents
that issue in that way. Like in other ways, like
they kind of figured out how to play defense around
Joe could, but like with Steph, it's like this, this
dude could make a thirty, like he can and will
and like we know this, And so I think that
presents a tough problem for them.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
And I think the Warriors.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
To me, the Warriors and the Nuggets are the second
and third best teams in the league.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
I think that the Wars can get I think they
can get there if the matchups are right, you know,
I think full stop. I think I think Denver is
the closest to okay See, but nobody else is close
to okay See. But I think Denver could also lose
to any They can lose to Golden State in a
seven game series they could lose to I think them
(26:40):
and my sleeper usaid philis your sleeper. I think san
Antonio is my sleeper, bro. Like, I think they're gonna
be what you mean? What you mean like they're gonna
be a team to shock some teams in the West.
Speaker 6 (26:51):
What you mean, They're not gonna come out of the
West like like make the playoffs or I think they
could win. I think it went around to win around.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
His finals this year.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
I think they could if they match ups are right,
I think they could beat like a Houston, you know
what I'm saying, They could be, Like I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Homes coming out, bro on some they hear a.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
Fox yet Bro. Yeah, they got Jeremy Sohan on the bench,
you know what I'm saying. That's why they don't get
that far. But I think they can at least they
get to play some win one or two, depend on
the matchups.
Speaker 6 (27:22):
When the lights come on and they start getting brighter
and they start getting eyed and they look up like
it's just like it's something about that experience.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
I get you. But if they match up with a Dallas,
I feel like they can be a Dallas. They can
beat a Houston, but I feel like they're young enough
to beat like.
Speaker 6 (27:38):
Uh Man, Denver, okay see is the class of the West. Yeah,
okay See has a little bit of fear. Like they
don't fear nobody because you're the champs, but Denver is
on their mind because Denver took him seven.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Games and it got better. Gordon, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Problem and one of the like he was dealing with,
like a shoulder he was dealing with.
Speaker 6 (28:02):
Like they got better, We got the best player in
the league.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
They feel Denver got the best player.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
You gotta feel that way for sure.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Like I don't know, man, and I like the way
Jamal Murray has come out to like normally the slowest
starts to his regular seasons. But it's clear like somebody
put it in his mind that he needs to like
try hard to start the season and he's doing it.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
You see, the best non All Star in the league,
one of them just to never make an All Star.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
He's up there. Yeah, I just I just love him.
Other guys have made Like the other guys.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
He's the best player to never make the All Star
in the league right now.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
For sure, when you think about like the run he
had in the playoffs for Denvers championship run.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
He's got to be up.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
He was like a dominant player. You know, he was
dominant that one year against y'all. He could have missed against.
Speaker 4 (28:58):
You guys, even she threw at them.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
So yeah, I think I think those three teams, to
me are the best three teams in the West.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
I do.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
I think both Denver and Golden State could beat okay
See in the series. Not to say I'm gonna pick them,
I'm just saying.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
Got nothing from Minnesota.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
Nothing, Don't I think they I think they know they
were a team that they weren't supposed to Western.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
They just made the lineup series against.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
Cons finals last year. But the year before, yeah they
were I thought they were better the year before.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
So no, nothing from Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
I don't k them.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
They were good. They were better with the double big
with Cat and Gobert with the play. I don't play
Denver to me when they lost Cats, not that Cat's
better than Joyce. I think it's a better matchup for
the Denver for Denver. They were a better matchup for
Denver with Cat, I think. So, I just think they
got lucky against because they had unhealthy Golden State and
they beat the Lakers. So they got to the Western
Confers Finals and the damn got something in the Western
(29:58):
cons Final.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
I think them Houston, they did right.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
They get one game, they get the Clippers.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
To me, they're all in the same group.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Leagas, Clippers, Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Minnesota is a classic the way that they did the
Lakers last year. Don't put them in the.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
Same It's gonna be a different I think it's be
different than.
Speaker 6 (30:18):
I'm giving credit. Is an m VP candidate for sure.
I'm putting them ahead of the Lakers, and I'm putting
them ahead of the Clippers.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Yeah, the Clippers.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
They headed the Clippers, but I think the Lakers, I
think because they lost some pieces too, Nickle Alexander Walker bros.
A piece that they lost very important, and Lakers getting
down Drey and doesn't Gobert is not gonna look like
World Chamberlain anymore. Oh, I'm not saying thirty and twenty
because they had no bigs. They wouldn't they wouldn't play
(30:51):
Jackson Hayes. For the love of guy. They threwing Kleeber
for a half a second.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Jackson Hayes was just so long.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
Every year with It's gonna be the hype train is
gonna come, but they're gonna get I think they're the.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Same level up.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Episode the Lake.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
This rerun depends on that though they are very offensively
explosive with Luca gotta say, you gotta be. I think
I'm not saying they're gonna win it this year, but
I think they're gonna better than last year. Not that
eight is a difference maker, but he changes things for
them inside, like at least a rebounder of somebody that
can absolute Rudy Gobert. You know what I'm saying. Rudy
(31:38):
just ain't gonna be on the glass killing. So it
depends on matchups. They're not gonna be Houston, They're not
gonna be Golden State. They're not gonna be nobody there.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Also, I think when I think you're under rating two
is skinny Luca, I think he literally does look better.
He's playing different, like he's actually getting.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
To the stop the same Luca thirty nine and nine.
I know the defense. Who the Lakers can be Houston?
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Yeah, definitely, Noah.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
I just don't think they're young enough or athletic enough
for Houston.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
So the Lakers will they even make the player like.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
We gotta worry about the Lakers health, which is that's
a factor.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
It's a big factor.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
And then defensively, they can't guard in the playoffs. They can't.
They have problems with these young athletes for.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
Sure, But you got also no point guard in Houston.
They relying on Katie a lot. To Katie's health is
a is a. He's a big part of that health.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
He's been healthy relatively his whole career except for the achilles.
What's the dynamic gonna be when le Bron comes back
for the Lakers? What's that dynamic? Now they're getting used
to playing what they're about to play with him for
another like a month. So what changes when he walks
on the court. That's now you now you got to
relearn how to play again.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
Maybe so, But I think they had a good feel
forlast year. They looked good. They look better than if.
I was like, I didn't think it was gonna work.
Then when they got together, they made it look solid.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
We think that Bron and Luca things.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
God, I don't think it's gonna work.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
It didn't work. An it worked.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
They played well. How did it worked? They played well together.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
If it works, you get out of the first round, right.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
So a lot of them they were m VP candidate.
The reason they lost first round.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Sorry, well.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
Aar Ar was not playing his same type of basketball
when the playoffs happened. That's why.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
This year's Yeah, so.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
If he played, if he plays better like he's been playing,
he's after thirty five points the last four games. That's
of course without Bron and Luca, but all three of
them together were playing very well before the injuries happened
and before the playoffs started last year.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
To me, the MVP candidate who's twenties, it was in
his twenties, who just got his extension, he has.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
To play like an m v P, Luca, and if
he plays like.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
An m v P, I think for the last five
years he.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Didn't play like in the playoffs against Minnesota, he did
not play like an m v P, and I think
it was like he was dealing with an injury.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
He wasn't hit him and Bron showed up. I think
was the one that was like the third man, like
they were expecting a little bit more from him and
Ruey again, they also didn't have a big man like
they didn't have a big man.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
Yeah, I stopped making excuses for like Bron and Luca.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Well, they put up numbers. They put numbers.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
So the Lakers are not gonna make the playoffs this year.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
They will be a playing team once again.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
That's because of injury. I think because injuries.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
But again, yeah, what what changed in the last year?
Speaker 1 (34:41):
This dude.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
Fifteen?
Speaker 1 (34:44):
It's too funny.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Austin Reeves will not average thirty for the rest of
the season.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
We know that.
Speaker 4 (34:50):
Whoever twenty two, twenty three, he was twenty two last year.
Speaker 6 (34:53):
Yeah, he'll be in his twenties. Okay, it's gonna be
around thirty. Bron, It's gonna be in and out of
the line. It's gonna be chemistry issues.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
That's why.
Speaker 6 (35:04):
Because they're gonna have to play one way with Albron
and one way with them. They're gonna be confused sometimes
playoffs start. They're not gonna have an identity. When the
playoffs come, we ain't gonna know who they are.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
No, Seriously, I think the cut very.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Very very skeptical of eight and just generally, but Austin
Reeves has been like actually trying to develop some kind
of chemistry with him and actually like passing the rock,
which hasn't been the case with anybody else.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Again, it's four games.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
It's early, Like, I like a lot of Lakers fans
get tired of watching this got you fadeaways from three
feet away from the basket.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
When you just go up strong and try to dunk
it on somebody. But it's not his game, man, Bro,
he's seven ft tall. Did not be his game going
up strong.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
I mean, Bro, he's showing I say, he's saying he
shoots mid range.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
That's what he's going to, just mid ranges and.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
Saying just dunk on people like that's not.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Try to don't try to get fouled. I got contact.
You know what.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
He's been. He's been active. Bro. So you guy, no,
I wasn't.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
You are dominating guy.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
I think he was good in Phoenix. He's showing his
approach to the game. This year is a lot different
than it was when he was in Portland and then
his last year in Phoenix.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
I just I just know one time he was acting
like what his goals for his career are? He said,
get to my second contract.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
He's got the guy.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
He's got into the second contract. He's reached his career.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
He probably how long ago is that year? Second third, twenty.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Strike you as a very motivated guy.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
This year, he looks more motivated, more motivated than before. Yeah,
I'm saying like twenty two, fifteen, sixteen eight, Like he's
more active in the last defensive, he's running the floor.
You know, is he the same ad we've seen the phoenix?
Maybe not, but he's showing more than what I've seen
in Portland and the last year. Like people just saying
he has no motor like, he's actually showing that he cares.
So I'm like, all right, that shows life. Now you
(37:00):
can get everybody healthy and make the game easy for him.
You got Bron, Luke and r all together on the floor.
He's not getting number but lay ups, and he's gon't
get easy drop off so where he can be wide
open all the time.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
I hope you're right.
Speaker 6 (37:11):
He's gonna be lucky to get the ball when all
three of them get on the court.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
For sure. Again, make my rebounds offensive opportunity like offense rebounds.
Speaker 6 (37:19):
I can't wait until this happens because they like no seriously,
because I want to be like, all right, where's the
aiding that's gonna pout when he doesn't get the ball, Like.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
We saw, that's gonna be a big testament of.
Speaker 6 (37:30):
Who he is when he's not like he's getting the
ball now, everything is fine and dandy.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
He's happy, he's eating.
Speaker 6 (37:36):
Now when he goes games where the touches aren't there,
this is that. This is what I want to see,
because that's what I saw in Phoenix. He was complaining
he wasn't getting the ball, he wasn't getting touches. What's
gonna happen when we see that again? You go understand,
he's still a young guy. He's looking at all the guys.
Think about this, He's looking at all the guys he
came in with that got them contracts. He didn't get it.
He was the number one pick. Like, there's some kind
(37:58):
of salt to that salty. If I'm here, I'm like, man,
I was the number one pick. I should be making
two hundred million right now.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
I mean, yeah, Luca just got it.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
Man, come on, I'll.
Speaker 6 (38:10):
Feel a certain way if I don't have this opportunity.
And this is it right now in front of him.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
So Paul once again is a Lakers skeptic.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
I'm just going off with the last three rightfully something rightfully.
Speaker 6 (38:21):
I mean, look, I'm just going off the first round
exits over the last three years got you.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
We got to get what is probably the biggest story
of the season, probably the most exciting story for the
NBA's future, in terms of getting people excited about a
player that literally nobody's ever seen before, and that's Victor
Weber Yama who he's averaging thirty one thirteen revs, five blocks.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Crazy.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
I mean, I think it's inarguable to say that he's
been one of the best players. Like you can count
on one hand the amount of NBA players who who
can make an argument that they've been as good as
Wemby to start the season, which is crazy.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
What's it been like the watching man?
Speaker 6 (39:15):
I mean, he's he's entered the territory to where you
don't say his whole name anymore. He just said, like seriously,
like you when players are just cool, and they like
when players start getting great, like bron this is Wimby,
(39:35):
Like you just said, there's no more just Wmby, that's it.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
And he's looks like a created two K player.
Speaker 6 (39:45):
It's getting ridiculous and it's almost getting scary to watch
this kid every single night to say, Hey, I don't know,
this kid might be the face of the league after
this year is over.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Yeah, seriously, that's the direction he's.
Speaker 4 (40:02):
If he stays healthy, bro, consistent in his drive, he
could be the best big to lace him up. Bro,
Like we've never seen anything I can get. He can
get like four or five m vps. Yeah, two or
three championships if he stays healthy for the next ten years.
(40:22):
The numbers when he looked, Bro, the numbers he's putting
up's not against like Anthony Davis is the guy he's
playing against. He was a Defensive Player of the Year candidate.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
To me, I think the.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
Last young guy that's looked this dominant at this stage
to me is Lebron. So to me, he's the best
NBA prospect since Lebron, which is like kind.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
Of crazy to say.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
He's not far faster, Like at worst, we think Lebron
at worst is like the second or third best player.
Speaker 5 (40:59):
Ever, you know what I'm saying, Like, that's that's kind
of basically he could be the best player ever.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
That's when he right now, he's the most talented player I've.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
Ever seen, right seven four hand on the ball.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
He's the most talented player right now that I've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (41:15):
And I think when he first came a lot of
people were getting excited about the you know, the three
pointers and oh he could be a KD type And
I'm like, guys, like, stop it. There's only one KD.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
I said the same, and he's surpassing that. There's never
gonna be another Kevin Durrett. This motherfucker is a different.
He's a he's a different what he's doing this year.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
And I saw this somewhere I forget, but like, I
think his average shot distance last year was eighteen feet
or nineteen feet this year is eleven feet.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
So he's living closer to the basket.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Yeah, just like, Bro, like, you're making yourself way harder
to stop when you're that big. Get to within eight
feet and nobody can contest your shots.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
More muscle, and he continue to do that.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
Man, he's given me k D Janni's hybrid.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
Yeah, yeah, this is a modern day will Bro.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
And remember when Gianna's first got drafted, he was a
freaking real thing.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
He was a too thick.
Speaker 6 (42:16):
Could you imagine if he stays on that program, that
Gianni's weight program.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
He got his DS with Janni's Damn, I'm.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
Gonna stop watching.
Speaker 4 (42:25):
I'm you know, how crazy Gianna's had a jumper, like you.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
Know, talking yeah, facts to jump so feathery soft already.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
You know he makes his free throw, so that's another thing,
like you can't just foul this dude when he gets
close to the basket.
Speaker 4 (42:41):
So the questions he's gonna score? How soon do you
see him winning a championship? Do you think they? Do
you think that they could win one this year?
Speaker 1 (42:52):
I think championship.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
I don't think that. I don't think that's in the
cards for them this year. I think something stra.
Speaker 4 (43:01):
Would you'd be very surprised if they won one.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
This year's super surprised.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
I said to me, at best, this could be like
a broun in O seven situation where he makes like
a surprising finals run, or in this guy's case.
Speaker 4 (43:16):
Western Conference finals. I'd be surprised.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
And I think to make it to the Western Conference
finals would be the equivalent of with Brounland. So and
then you run into a team that's just got too
many vets, too many experience.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
And you know you do that.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
But I don't think that's crazily, especially as much as
motherfuckers get injured these days, this is crazy.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
If Winby like.
Speaker 6 (43:39):
When if Winby won the title this year, this year,
he will be already in the conversation, all right.
Speaker 4 (43:48):
But that would I would be crazy. I could see
them and said it would be surprising for them to
get to the finals, but I think they could get
to the Western Conference finals. Depending on that, that would
be like an over achievement. But I don't think it
would be crazy far fit. So with the West, you
just don't know who's gonna be healthy, went like, so, let's.
Speaker 1 (44:09):
Name the guys.
Speaker 2 (44:10):
Let's just name the guys in the NBA that that
we think Wenby is right there. Because to me, I
think Jokic, SGH, Johanna's.
Speaker 1 (44:24):
And Luca. I think, to me, those guys are locked
into the top five, like the top so I have, I.
Speaker 4 (44:29):
Had Luca, Sga, I had Jo jokis one s so
I've had MVP votes. If I had to guess before
the season started, right now, I'm saying Sja. But I
had Jokic. I thought since he lost last year he'd
come back on a tear come back this year. But
right now Sja is balling. SGA always one and two
at three. I think I had Luca, But right now
(44:51):
Yannis is looking right now is kind of winning that
Lucas out right now. But even before he was out,
Luca was getting to the chicken. He was getting bucks
like so Luca, it could be for But right now,
Wenby could be at that fourth spot right now after
he's showing.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
If he's playing like he's playing on offense, and he's
obviously the best defensive playing in the NBA, it's hard
to argue that like he's not just right there.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
He's in there.
Speaker 6 (45:20):
He's going to lead the league in blocks, He's gonna
be top four five and rebounds probably could be number one.
And if he continues to score like this, this is
this is incredible, this is this is like he's he's
he's already a top five player if he's healthy, tops
top five player, there's no doubt about it. He's top
five when if he stays healthy.
Speaker 4 (45:41):
I didn't expect him to come out, especially being off
for six months he had the blood clode issue. I
thought he's gonna take him some time to get into Nah,
he came.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
We got to ask what the hell happened? When they
hung out?
Speaker 6 (45:53):
He went, this is what he did this summer. His
summer was filled with he went to go see uh
the the monks. He went to go pray with the monks.
He went to counseling with KG Yeah, and he tutored
with Tim Duncan, what did you expect?
Speaker 4 (46:12):
I'm second six months over hooping all but explains it
all right.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
So we started the top of the show talking about
some of the crazier performances that have already happened this season,
and just to run them off quickly, shay yojis Alexander
has given you a fifty five pointer. Aaron Gordon dropping
fifty His confidence in his jump shot is so crazy.
Speaker 4 (46:38):
For last year forty plus, he's a forty percent.
Speaker 1 (46:44):
And he's taking them off the dribble was kind of
crazy transition.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
I think Jalen Brown is going to have a lot
of these forty point nights, but he's gonna have a
lot of them thirty attempt nights.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
He's gonna have a lot of Ai Yeah, Steph.
Speaker 2 (46:57):
Of course with the forty two piece MAXI pretty much
every single game has been a banner game for the
reason I thought I thought I was looking at some
kind of type of when I looked at my fifty one,
seeing that he dropped fifty one. Of course, Giannis has
been on a tier and Edwards already has a forty
(47:17):
spot even though he's already out camp Thomas.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
Where are you guys with Cam Thomas.
Speaker 4 (47:21):
He's a very talented scorer, but you gotta do more
than score to get paid. He's smaller too, so he's
not that all you do is score and he's a
small score Like its.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
Never like you literally liven't do anything else the.
Speaker 4 (47:36):
Team that's not really winning. So it's like affecting anything who.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
Has already had a forty nine point game. Of course,
Wenby like just being just this.
Speaker 4 (47:44):
Is a lot of forty and fifty balls throughout the
league first.
Speaker 3 (47:47):
Week in a season two.
Speaker 6 (47:49):
Yeah, that's just showing me that it's saying one of
two things that the players are either getting better or
the defense is getting work.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
Yeah, And I don't want to sound like old head
bro god hate on the d. It was to get
fifty back in the day, That's what I'm saying, Like
not everybody, you know, it was very hard to get,
like specialty, like it was a special night to get
and then next you know, everybody getting fifty ball. It's
like is the defense getting like I think I think
it's just a lot of the pace, the pace, the face,
(48:19):
guys feeding, finding the hothand more.
Speaker 1 (48:21):
I think it is the pace.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
I think it's people's willingness to take mad threes and
so if you do have a hot night, you end
up getting the points right.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
People's ability, like.
Speaker 4 (48:30):
Because they only give it back. In the day, it
was only the certain guys that we shooting the ball.
It was like always rod players, how we're going to
feed him that your foul.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
Bait has to matter.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
But like you know, I kind of came of age
watching basketball, like you know, basically the second three peat,
bulls onward, and I remember the ninety nine first round
series between the Heat and the Knicks.
Speaker 1 (48:54):
Routine league games are finishing in the sixties.
Speaker 4 (48:58):
Sixties, it was a lot slower of court, like rush lucky,
you get an eighty ninety. Now some of the team's
average one forty. I forget who said that average thirty forty.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Yeah, it's it's just shary.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
Yeah, it's waiting one thirty.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (49:14):
Man. So yeah, combination of both talent, they getting more
talented to getting better, but defenses.
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Which did you rather play in the ever you came
in or the ever you came.
Speaker 4 (49:25):
Out of right now because you.
Speaker 6 (49:30):
You have, man, I'll be playing longer. I mean, think
about it. We're looking at an era where k D, Steph,
and Bron are still averaging twenty five plus points a
game at thirty seven. Yeah, because of the lack of
like you know, they don't have the physicality and what
it used to be in you know, genetics. The players
(49:51):
are getting better and they playing longer. That's always in
a small ball.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Yeah, So yeah, I like that. I like the era.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
Now, all right, I'm definitely excited to talk to you
guys about this next.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
Thing because you know, you guys have had great careers.
Speaker 2 (50:08):
Not only that, but you guys have played with a
bunch of like incredible NBA legends.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
Literally in your careers.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
And on the new Netflix series starting five, the question
of whether k D would get a statue for any
of the teams that he's played for and his career
came up, and I'd love to hear what you guys
think about where should KD get a statue and where
should it be.
Speaker 6 (50:36):
He's getting two statues, okay one and okac for establishing
that franchise to where it is today. He was an
MVP there. He carried that franchise and made him relevant.
We all know that when he goes back there, he
should have got a standing ovation. They bowed him, but
that's you know, that'll change his time and they forget
(50:58):
and all of that.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
But he is.
Speaker 6 (50:59):
Stylelis with Okay, see a culture because when you went
there in the playoffs, he made that place a place.
Speaker 3 (51:05):
It's a place to play rock. So he made that
that place.
Speaker 6 (51:09):
He gets one there, and he also gets one in
Golden State his two years there finals MVP.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
He got to get another one there.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
I guess if you get two finals MVPs with a team,
if you were only there for three years, Danny like
what what?
Speaker 1 (51:23):
Because Danny's making that face. He's not seeing a statue anywhere.
Speaker 4 (51:27):
I'm seeing a statue. Okay, see, I'm saying Golden State
two years, three years, three Yeah, it's a jersey. I'll
give him jersey, Raptor. I don't know about statue.
Speaker 1 (51:39):
He can get one statue. Why Golden State?
Speaker 2 (51:44):
When you consider that he was such like the error
that he was a part of the guys Steph Clay,
Iggy Draymond Kerr. They played there way more than three
years though, and they all getting part of multiple championship
kind of runs.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
Was kind of.
Speaker 4 (52:07):
Definitely should get that.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
He was a part of it. He was the finals.
Speaker 4 (52:13):
It sounds crazy, but he kind of he kind of was.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
He was all right, but he was. He was He
was the guy. He was the guy.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
I think he was the guy on that team.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
He got finals twice. He was better than Steph.
Speaker 1 (52:27):
He was listening.
Speaker 4 (52:28):
He was the guy. He was the guy. But they
were the team. They were a team before him.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
I wouldn't agree.
Speaker 4 (52:33):
It wasn't like they were still the team.
Speaker 3 (52:35):
Lost the year before, Golden State lost.
Speaker 4 (52:38):
The seventh year, but they won, so they were still
the team.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
He was by two and seven.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
Yeah, but like Lebron, that.
Speaker 4 (52:44):
That I Draymond a lot if a lot of if
it it was the fifth right, but they were they were.
He was the guy, but they were the team before
he got there. They were a movement, so they were
in their way to win. Even if they don't trade
for k D, I still think they in the like, yeah,
I think they should win one or two.
Speaker 1 (53:03):
Put it this way, Kat made them way better. Obviously.
I think that's the best team I've ever seen in
my life. I don't even think it's I know a
lot of people like what about the nineties.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
I'm like, bro, that was the most unstoppable unction of statue.
Speaker 3 (53:15):
We're getting all of them statues. We're gonna order it
from the same guy.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
We're giving Clay Yes and KD.
Speaker 4 (53:25):
I'm cool with Katie getting jersey in the Raptors.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
I don't know if a statue.
Speaker 6 (53:29):
Those shots I saw firsthand. I was there at the
games in Cleveland. They swept them. They was, yeah, they
beat they dominating Lebron. This is Lebron was talking about
the dominating with him. They don't dominate Lebron. If Kat's
not there, they might not even win.
Speaker 1 (53:45):
I'm actually on the record, I think in twenty seventeen.
Speaker 2 (53:47):
They lose to Cleveland. Honestly, Yeah, that's my opinion. Might
be a little controversial, but I really do think Cleveland
wins that championship if yeah, KD doesn't go over there.
In terms of okay, s, I can see both. I
can see both sides of that because it was so.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
Like bitter when he left.
Speaker 4 (54:13):
He did ten years though, right, yeah, at least ten years.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
They were so pissed and butt hurt I could see
them not wanting to reward that.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
But at the same time, if Russell Westbrook gets a statue,
Kate gets a freaking.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Statue, and Russe is getting a statue years yeah, Russe.
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Is getting statue and you were nowhere near as good
as Katy.
Speaker 3 (54:36):
Two statues high five in each other question what one one?
Speaker 2 (54:47):
One thing though before we go, is there is there
anywhere that Danny Green deserves the statue to state Mary's
Should they be erecting.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
A statue.
Speaker 4 (55:00):
New York High School? High School U n C.
Speaker 1 (55:03):
You don't think you und you.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
Wanted at us?
Speaker 4 (55:07):
Yeah, Tyler Hansbrough was the face of a college basketball
that I was the same as Tyler.
Speaker 3 (55:11):
Oh yeah, Tyler definitely Tyler.
Speaker 4 (55:13):
Coach Tyl Lawson was there with me.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
Are you a Celtics statue receiver?
Speaker 3 (55:20):
It should be they only got like one stand used
there for a hell? Is it just Bill Russell? Just
know they got build and burned?
Speaker 4 (55:27):
But how many years are you there?
Speaker 3 (55:28):
You gotta win multiples and use that for at least
you gotta win multiple anybody wants multi.
Speaker 4 (55:40):
You gotta minimum some reasons.
Speaker 1 (55:44):
You gotta you know, traditions a little places Okay, Boston pedigrees.
Speaker 3 (55:55):
Different than a lot of other friends.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
About Kansas, Inglewood High.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
Maybe Inglewood Hig. Yeah, Kansas to my jersey, and I'm
good with that. I love that.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
Yeah, let's get into fan questions.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
But I want to talk to Paul really quickly, because
this is you and my god Ben Lions at your crib,
at your bowling alley in your crib, and I would
think somebody got a bowling alley in their crib that
they would win the bowling man.
Speaker 1 (56:23):
Look I got did you lose Ben Lions at you
after that? Bro to?
Speaker 3 (56:31):
I think I was just ramming up.
Speaker 1 (56:33):
That was for losing.
Speaker 4 (56:37):
Hello, skinny right there at all? You low cut and
I'm like that, Like that's not.
Speaker 1 (56:46):
Big of a bowl. You're still a big bowler.
Speaker 3 (56:48):
I can still do something.
Speaker 1 (56:51):
I just think that somebody has one in their crib.
They being stoppable solid.
Speaker 4 (56:55):
I got a ping pong. I ain't playing. Sometimes you
just have it.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
There is there? All right, let's get into a couple
of fan questions.
Speaker 2 (57:05):
I'm effing cool wants to know from both of you
guys your favorite Rondo story you both played with.
Speaker 4 (57:13):
I don't. I only got one. I only have one
year with Dough, but he probably got more years. It
was just always a slippery slick even when we played
cards and he always gonna find an angle I'm gonna
cheat or something, shooting game, any type of game we
played the way.
Speaker 6 (57:32):
Yeah, probably when he squared up with Doc, they were
squared up. We had a fiery everybody was squared up.
But he squared up with Doc.
Speaker 1 (57:47):
What they did? You intervene? Or how does that go? Man?
Speaker 6 (57:54):
It was just something Doc got only it was I
don't know. I think it was either a game or
the playoff. They just they squared up. We gotta look like,
hold on this about the squaws. I'll never forget it though.
But it didn't go down.
Speaker 4 (58:09):
So that's he was the one that quick to cuts
out the referees that you know, quck sucking you know
what I'm saying. That was they giving certain people foules,
y'all over here, some people out. It was real quick,
but they definitely that was the time. They definitely had
a group that squared off because we had Delante. After
Dalante left, so I already knew how Delante was. He
tried to square from Mike Brown.
Speaker 6 (58:28):
Trying to tell you, I didn't seen a lot of
square up, some punches thrown. I haven't seen some Yeah Brown,
fuck you, Joe thoughts out, I'm come out of college.
Speaker 4 (58:40):
This this is how like, this is how?
Speaker 1 (58:45):
What the going on? So good Danny? This one's for
you from Rowdy Thomas. Which ring do you love the most?
Speaker 4 (58:55):
That's tough and I always try to give.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
This lake bubble raptors run spurs.
Speaker 4 (59:01):
I try to give people analogy, like, you have multiple kids,
can you say you love one more than the other?
Speaker 1 (59:06):
Well, I've always heard that parents actually do have some Dude.
Speaker 4 (59:11):
Ranks his kids, but like experience, each kid is different,
but he's experience is different his birth. You can't say
I love the birth of this child more than now.
They grow up to be different. But I think the
bubble ring was harder because, like, no matter how nice
you make a space, if you're there in that space
for one hundred days, it's tough.
Speaker 1 (59:28):
What do you say to people that try to denigrate
are you.
Speaker 3 (59:32):
No, I'm not saying what you're talking about.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
Yeah, no, it's not the one talking about. Yeah, they
be shipping on it, bro, But again.
Speaker 1 (59:42):
To me, body went through the same experience. If you
didn't win, then you weren't good enough.
Speaker 6 (59:48):
I don't see I will say this. I mean, I
guess all championships are are different. You experienced I didn't experience,
you know. But this is the thing I say about
the bubble like that, I feel like y'all was there,
so like I'm on the outside looking in. But like
I truly believe, when you don't have to experience the flying,
(01:00:12):
the la to being on the road in that environment
like that, I think that makes it tough.
Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
I agree, Like you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (01:00:20):
If I gotta go to Denver, or I gotta go
to Indiana, or I gotta go to AKC, But now
I can wake up at one o'clock and go to
the gym and get used to these rims. Over one
hundred days, I'm used to being in this gym, you know,
so that I could get comfortable. But like I said,
I wasn't there. But I also believe that like damn,
they just put the fire extinguisher. Now we're out on
the street in the playoffs where I didn't get my
(01:00:41):
rest today. You know, you know, it's like it's certain
elements of like being on the road and doing things
and not having your meal that you usually are getting
your proper sleep. That makes that element a little difficult,
but you know he was there, so I can't.
Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
I think some guys thrived in that, and some guys,
like I'm used to playing in front of crowds, weird
to not play in front of the crowd. And I
also give like the guys that are not saying the
guys that play well were like because of the bubble,
But the teams that came back three to one, I
think it was because they didn't have that atmosphere got Yeah,
there was no road. But my rebuttal to that is
(01:01:17):
we were the best team in the league regards like
that year. We were the best defensive team, the best team.
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
You have the best record.
Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
Now, like a team like Miami, like we were supposed
to win it. Yeah, but Miami getting to the finals,
they weren't supposed to, Like they've been out of dog.
Now you can say Miami went and one because of
the bubb like, but we were supposed to, like the one.
The team that would have that gave us trouble was
the Clippers that year.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Yeah, the Clippers were every last in the regular regular season.
You guys actually beat the Clippers.
Speaker 4 (01:01:41):
I think so they gave us trouble throughout the year.
I think the playoff series have been different for us.
They matched up well with us, but again, they were
up three to one. Now, if it was regular season,
they might not have lost the three to one lead
because they would have had the crowds and been had
home court advantage. There was no home court in the Bubble.
But to me and said again, I think regardless of
the scenario, we would because we were the best team
(01:02:02):
that year. Like I didn't see anybody being like we
didn't have a great offense. We had a really good defense.
Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
Defense was great.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Another Danny question from Denton Frea, Danny, what was the
lesson you learned while playing at the Pop?
Speaker 4 (01:02:17):
I mean, just was he really yelling at y'all like that?
This highlights of him cussing me out? Oh okay, I
think he has a highlight film. We need to get
a too minute highlight clip of Pop cussing just me out,
Let alone, Tony. But he lets he lets everybody know
you're not safe, because as soon as you get there,
he calls time out right away and cusses out the
Big three to let you know you not safe. But
I think the biggest lesson that I learned, and it
(01:02:39):
wasn't just like a direct verbal like conversation. It was
more of just how to like have that sense of urgency.
He always played chess, and he always would cuss you
out playing the Kings, knowing that you had to play
the Celtics in two games, like I'm gonna make sure
I know how to press certain buttons to get this
(01:03:00):
guy ready for this game. But he also lets you
know your spot is never safe, you know what I'm saying,
So you gotta fight for your spot every day. He
never let me feel or think have a mindset to
get comfortable like you've made it, And I think that's
what made me last longer.
Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
In the league.
Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Okay, Greg Delion zero three is getting messy already. Who's winning?
He won? Right now?
Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
Nobody playing basketball?
Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
You and Danny Green one.
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
I'll play today, Yeah, yeah, I'll play three times a week.
Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
Three times. I'm playing once a week, so now I'm yeah,
I'm not. I played on the stands.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
Yeah, you had a jumper still there.
Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
You're gonna do big three?
Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Nah? Nah?
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
I mean a lot younger than me.
Speaker 4 (01:03:49):
Yeah, I got a couple of I got a couple
of couple.
Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
Just keep it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
And our last question is magic related from air Bender
one oh six. What do you think of Orlando's early
struggles this season. They've been trying to play at a
higher pace offensively, but it's hurt their defense in the process.
They think they just need more games under their belt
to get accustomed to the new game play.
Speaker 4 (01:04:15):
Everybody needs more games under their belt. Man, it's not
just Orlando, but yes, it's early. We expected more from them,
but they get Desmond Bain's first year with them, like
des Is their ties Jones back up, but Jalen Suggs
was out a lot. They had injuries last year, so
they're just getting acclimated. Without a doubt. I think they'll
be one of the better team. They'll be top five
(01:04:35):
teams in the East.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
In my perspective, I'm a little scared for them because.
Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
They look exactly the same that they did last.
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Year in terms of the stuff that they're running or
like how they're trying to play. And it's just like
no acknowledgment that they got Desmond Bane now right in
terms of like think about the teams that you played.
Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
On that for that person.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
No, so that you can get shots, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
Like not that they're calling stuff for you to isle,
but it's like, no, we have one of the best
shooters in the NBA.
Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
Now let's do stuff to acknowledge.
Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
So you don't think they're running enough stuff for Deaz. No,
he's still put up some good numbers.
Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Not like but he's making It's not he's doing it
on his own. And the only reason I'm paying attention
like this is yes, I really thought these kids could
go to the final year. So I'm just watching. I'm like,
this don't look like a finals team to me.
Speaker 6 (01:05:34):
What do you think, Paul? I think they just need time.
Think there's an adjustment U hereod there a young team.
They're trying to, like you said that, to get acclimated,
and I think they're when you know, of course, of
eighty two games, I think there'll be a top four seed.
Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
There you go. Yeah, time will tell.
Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
And now it's time for our Picks of the Night
segment presented by Prize Picks. We got a good lineup
tomorrow night, so let's get right into it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
I think you liked the Spider Mitchell.
Speaker 4 (01:06:01):
Yeah, I like don he's doing a three point celebration
with us, but they're playing Boston. I think it's gonna
be I don't think it's gonna be a blowout. I
think it's gonna because they're missing pieces to Cleveland's down
some bodies. Boston's not Boston, So I think he'll have
to play both of the minutes. And the other night
he put up thirty five, I think he'll have to
and every time he plays against him, I feel like
(01:06:22):
he has a little chip on his shoulder. So yeah,
I can see I'm going more. I'm going twenty eight
and a half. I'm going more for don On that
he's aftering thirty one right now. I think he gets
his average, And to me, you.
Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Gotta kick him while they're down because Boston they don't
have a long season.
Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
But if they get you can't let him get.
Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
No light have a long season. So I love that pick.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
I'm also really into the Evan Mobley more than and
a half points because I think Boston has one of
the worst front lines in this year.
Speaker 4 (01:06:55):
Stop disrespecting my dude, Man, tell.
Speaker 6 (01:06:57):
Me kicks versus Boston right now to get the game. Yeah,
I'm going less than eighteen point five.
Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
Are you actually like less from Evan Mobley.
Speaker 6 (01:07:10):
I'm going less from Avin Moley. On the eighteen point
five versus Boston, you lose Katie averaging eighteen point three,
He's not gonna get more than two point.
Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
You lose kp Al, Horford and Cornett.
Speaker 4 (01:07:21):
Yeah, so I mean telling me I like him as
a utility guy. Luca Garza, like, those guys are solid,
But I don't I don't know. Damn Keta is his
name is? Who Keta is his name? Keda Queta? Yeah, yeah,
that's what I'm saying. His defensive presence, he's solid. Solid
for Boston, he's solid. But yeah if he stays on
(01:07:42):
the floor. But if he's off the floor, and you
got like I like.
Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
Paul Austin Reeves more or less than twenty nine points
versus Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
He's averaging thirty five. Luca and Lebron I are playing tonight.
Speaker 6 (01:08:00):
I mean yes that I like Minnesota defensively with the
big fella inside Gobert defensive player of the Year multiples.
I'm going less than twenty nine point four, twenty nine
point five points versus Minnesota. I know he's averaging thirty five.
I'm going less. Minnesota's got some pride. They own the
Lakers going.
Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
They own the Lakers. That's crazy and no and Man
and Man ain't playing it.
Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
They're still a defensive pressent.
Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
All right, I'm going more man. It's it's a gift,
I said. Without one of the better defensive Nikaile Alexander
Walker out and Austin's been putting up every time, both
those guys at the floor. I think he's averaging forty
with both them on the floor and more than twenty
and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:08:43):
Yeah, I think he gets that where to attack like
Mike Conley and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (01:08:47):
Ain't no, Slock's just so good at the foul. He's
been getting to the free line. He's second behind Shaye
and right now. Not crazy that us.
Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
I just see that continuing to be a twenty two
free throws against second and yeah, Kad Cunningham more.
Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
Who are they playing tomorrow Detroit? They've been I thought
they would be better. They start to scroll, but yeah,
I got I don't know who it is. It don't matter.
He I think is gonna get more than twenty five
and a half points because he's been coming out facilitating
first and trying to get his guys going. He don't
have the same personnel he had last year, and him
(01:09:24):
and Jalen Durant is a great one two punch, but
they're gonna need him to be aggressive score. He has
to for them to be good this year. He has
to score more, and I think that's the coaching staff.
Tobias's gonna tell me, we need you to score. So
he has to get thirty a night for them to
be in the conversation of where they were last year.
Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
I think he took his game to the next level
last year when he became just a better one on
one player. He was always like pretty good in the
pick and roll, turn it over too much, but he
became a guy that could score against people in the
one on one and the next series. Last year he
just showed that he could consistently get to the who
you know, make a big shot.
Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
So yeah, I think he's gonna have a big scoring year.
Speaker 4 (01:10:01):
There was a point where he was in the MVP conversation,
like voting last year. He was like one of those
guys that could have been I think.
Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
Detroit was such a surprise team and he was having
such a breakout year.
Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
I'm I'm a CAD fan, so yeah, I believe in
what he's doing this year. All right, y'all. I said
early it's been a hot start to.
Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
The NBA season. As we wind down episode one, is
kind of crazy to even say that. I would love
to get you guys's hottest takes right now.
Speaker 6 (01:10:32):
Yeah, I had one earlier that I told you, but
I'm changing it. My hottest take is I got Philadelphia
Sixers coming out of the East.
Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
The Sixers the Eastern Conference champions this year. That's that's
that's a scorcher. Yeah, I'm not I'm not there with you.
I'm happy for him in there dope start to the season.
I think it's super encouraging to see Maxi doing what
he's doing. Specifically obviously the rookies, the rookie but like
(01:11:09):
Maxie showing that like no, I'm a bona fide All
star I'm gonna be an All NBA type of player
this year.
Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
That's super encouraging. Danny, you got any hot takes?
Speaker 4 (01:11:19):
Yeah, that was one we discussed earlier as my sleeper.
I don't think they're gonna make it out of the West,
but I think they're gonna get to the Western Conference finals.
I'm a book at San Antonio Spurs Western.
Speaker 1 (01:11:29):
Oh wow, coming out the gate man.
Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
Check from.
Speaker 1 (01:11:41):
B to the playoffs and actually like do something for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
But I also was big on Dallas before the season started.
Now look at Dallas and I'm like.
Speaker 1 (01:11:55):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
And what san Antono did the Dallas Yeah, I got you.
I'm like, you know this early, it is very early.
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
So for me, my hottest take, man, is that last
year we saw some crazy coach firings like what Denver
did to Mike Malone to happen in Memphis Jenkins, Taylor Jenkins.
Not only do I think it's gonna continue, I think
it should continue.
Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
The firings.
Speaker 1 (01:12:22):
Yeah, like Orlando, they be looking at mostly like, bro
get it. Coaches in the hot hot seat. Your contracts
are guaranteed.
Speaker 4 (01:12:35):
It is okay if you get never okay.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
Still getting funny, man, I think you gotta for all
these keep the seat hot as hell, y'all. What's my
hottest take? Guys?
Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
That's because he was big on Orlando. They just not
showing it.
Speaker 5 (01:12:56):
So the week one on the job, you know, it's
crazy episode and you boss asked me, like any teams
that I root for whatever, I just root for my
picks so like, I.
Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
Picked Orlanda to do well and they screwed it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
Look smart, vanity, That's all I care about, man, Yo,
hell of the first show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:22):
Guys. This incredible. Looking forward to doing this all season this.
We're doing this three times a week.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
We're gonna have a revolving cast of characters coming up here.
As you can see, these guys are already in mid
season form.
Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
Make sure you like it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Subscribe to the show on YouTube. Yeah man, and we
will see you guys next episode.
Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
Just getting started, Peace.
Speaker 4 (01:13:53):
This has been a playmaker production
