By the 1990's, Gianni Versace was the world's most famous fashion designer and Miami was his home. Despite his immense fame, Versace moved freely throughout the city. When the designer was murdered in cold blood on the steps of his palatial mansion by obsessed fan Andrew Cunanan, what ensued was a global media frenzy, a citywide manhunt and the story of a cross-country murder spree of wealthy gay men that culminated with the fashion moguls slaying.
