Desires are important part of prayer, and when we're praying,
that's why we have to check our hearts, check out desire.
What's motivating us for this particular thing? Is it motivated
out of jealousy? Is it motivated out of envy? Is
it motivated out of lust?
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Or is it a.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Genuine desire for something that is wholesome and within the
boundaries of asking.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
The desires in me come from what I've seen, what
I've heard, what I've tasted, what I've touched, what I've experienced.
So if I see you living a certain quality of life, right, yes,
that activates desire in me.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Got it?
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Because the potential was there, always present. So it activates
desire in me. So I can look at you, and
if I look at you, you become a model. Yes,
for that desire to be activated in me. Now I
want to be like you. I want what you have. Yes,
got it?
Speaker 1 (01:57):
And that's okay.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
But when it rises to the place of now I
am competing with you, I'm jealous of you. I'm envious
of you, and we become rivals. Now that competition can
lead to aggression. That aggression can lead to violence because
now I want to eliminate you because you're my competition.
(02:21):
So it begins with desiring you know what you have
and who you are as a person. But if it
doesn't work within certain boundaries, that's why the the the
the Take Commandment says that shall not cover it. Yes,
So what it's saying is control your desires.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
And you used to teach us that, you know, we
only think to the level that we're exposed to. I
used to tell my kids, I said, you only desire,
you know, at the level you're exposed. And that's why
I said, watch what you allow yourself to be exposed to,
because when you start allowing yourself to be exposed to
certain things, not all things that you're exposed to, should
you desire.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
There have to be safeguards, there have to be boundary
and that's why our faith gives us a moral compass.
Without the boundaries, moral boundaries that that's presented by our faith,
all right, we'll just go crazy. Yes, that's why the
earth is filled with violence. That goes back to Genesis general,
not created in one chapter, six chapters later, the whole
(03:21):
world is. So, desires are important part of prayer, and
when we're praying, that's why we have to check our hearts,
check our desires. What's motivating us for this particular thing?
Is it motivated out of jealousy? Is it motivated out
of envy? Is it motivated out of lust? Or is
it a genuine desire for something? That is wholesome and
(03:43):
within the boundaries of asking.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Hell. Amen, Amen, that's good, that's good. In a long time, boom,
we were doing good. We're doing good. So does the
devil do? He tries to corrupt our desire? He takes because.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Memory he's not a creator. He takes what is good
and pushes it to the extreme. He he takes what
is good and pushes it to the extreme. All right,
so God made everything good, right, he said it was good.
God declared it was good, and then very good. But
(04:27):
now when good is taken outside of the boundaries that
keeps it good, it now becomes something that's evil.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
When good is taken outside of the boundary.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
That keeps it good, keeps it good, it becomes evil exactly.
So that's why it's an alienation. Evil is an alienation
from good, which is an alienation from God.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Because God is good.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
So if society is alienated from God, which is good,
they are alienated from good. So they become what more
and more evil? Yes, yes, and oh man, hallelujah.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
We didn't get into covenant. We didn't covenant relationship, and
we're out of time.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
But but this is important, especially as we pray you know,
because you shouldn't be praying for somebody else's husband.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Amen. It again, shouldn't be praying for somebody else's wife. Amen.
You know what I mean. You shouldn't.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
You shouldn't be praying for something someone has out of
your jealousy, out of your envy, out of your lust.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
You could pray that your bank account looks like somebody
else's dame count, but you know, you shouldn't pray for
their bank account, Comen.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Sometimes it's it's it's true.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
So we work within boundaries and we talk about because
you know, especially in America, it's about liberty, it's about freedom.
It's about rights, you know, and it's always about my
rights and my freedoms are being and frings upon, you know.
But freedom needs boundaries in order to keep us free,
because once we step outside of the boundaries and keep
us free, we end up in bondage.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Well, and that's so true because psychologists say that you
need boundaries to help your self esteem.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yeah, yeah, and that I am back.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Well because when you think about it, so within because
if you don't have boundaries, you're willing to try or
identify with anything and everything to help find your self esteem.
But once you start developing boundaries, say hey, no, this
is who I am, and I can flourish with who
I am within these boundaries because I get my identity
from Christ right, and I get my identity. I know,
(06:43):
I get my words from this relationship, because once again,
I am somebody you are so mindful of that. Not
only do you think of me, you sent your son
to die and rise, and not just rise, but speak
on my behalf and to see on my behalf.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
You're preaching real good.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
So the incarnation and death on the cross, yes, all right,
is an expression of God's value for me as a
human being. Yes, Yes, that he would pay the price
by giving his only begotten son, Yes, to redeem me
to my value. How important I am? Yes, and how
important I am as a being? And that is where
(07:26):
I get my identity from. Yes, you knowize is so
important because we have all of these images on television,
on social media, all of these different platforms that are
communicating images, and many of those images are images that
are in identity crisis itself. So you're looking at an
image that's in an identity crisis and you want to
copy that crisis.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
So what happens you enter that crisis. You have to.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
Come knowing who you are and those boundaries that you
set for you, not to jump in and identify so
much with all of this or you know, and it
saves you because you go through such an identity crisis
as you try any and everybody else's identity and everybody
else's crisis, because they're an identity crisis, you'll lose yourself.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Wait wait, wait, so what you mean. We're just trying
on clothes pretty much, that's all we do. I like
the I'm gonna try that on. I like the way
that look, I'm gonna try it that on. And I
just trying on stuff and never find me.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
No, because you cannot find yourself outside of the revelation
of the Cross.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
And God made man in his image and his likeness.
We are images of God. So we are to image God,
not all this other stuff. We are to image God,
which means we got to understand God, that he is loved,
that he's life, that he's light. You know, we have
to understand the nature.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Somebody says, why do we need to understand the nature
of God? So, because let me ask you a question.
If I don't understand the nature of the person who
created that chair, I would not know the full purpose
of that chair. In our misuse the use of that chair,
what was their intention? Where were their intentions? So is
it a seat or is it a weapon?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Yeah? So I'm not an accident. No.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
I was intentionally created by and entered human history as
specific time and place based upon things that he had
planned to happen.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yes, and therefore that's why we have to watch the
desires of our heart come on that boom bam. I
think we're out of time.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
I think we're over here, But it is Palm Sunday,
and of course it is looking back at when Jesus
was on the back of that donkey. Was the fulfillment
of prophecy Fold Testament prophecy. Right, he comes as a
servant and the people are laying down palm drant branches
shouting Hosanna to the son of David, Hosanna. And the
(09:47):
highest and the reason they were calling it, calling him
the son of David, because the prophecy said that a
Davidic king, that David would have a son who would
sit on the throne of Israel, and of that kingdom
there would be no end. So it goes back to covenant.
God is a covenant keeping God, and he distinguishes himself
(10:12):
as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to distinguish
himself from all other God that are out there who
claimed to be God is the ultimate one, and he
joins a relationship, a very special relationship with his people.
He loves humanity, he loves all for God so loved
the world that he gives only about in the Son.
But there is a special relationship with those who have
(10:35):
submitted to him and embraced his son.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
You receive my son, you receive me. Yes, yes, we
have an alt the call.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
Okay, video ex somebody one about ministers of the pointer
who's going to be I believe his other pointer wrapping
up with the auto call.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Please, if there was a tugue.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
In your heart, were experiencing this, this this soft voice,
I want you to listen to the minister and after
that would come back and we'll have some more conversations.
Speaker 6 (11:02):
I pray you truly got something out of this today.
So we're at the part of our service where we
would call this the ultar call. And really, if I
had to give it another way of saying this, I
would say it's about entering into a relationship with you,
making a decision to do that. And so recently this
(11:23):
week I was studying, and I was in the Book
of Acts, chapter sixteen, and Paul is on his second mission.
And what happens is that he along the way, he
ends up healing a woman who was possessed with the demon.
And as a result of him healing her, him and
Silence his companion ended up in jail. And when they
(11:44):
ended up in jail, they began to praise God, and
they began to pray to God, and a miracle happened
because the shackles had been set free. The jail's doors
have been open. And when we go to Acts, chapter sixteen,
verse twenty eight, we come to this part of the
story in verse twenty seven, and it says when the
jailer awoke and saw the prison doors open, he drew
(12:06):
his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that
the prisoners had escaped. But Paul cried out with a
loud voice, saying, do not harm yourself, for we are
all here. And he called for lights and rushed in,
and trembling with fear, the jailer he fell down before
Paul in silence. Basically, the jailer had witnessed a miracle.
(12:27):
He witnessed God do something that he thought only he
had the power to do, which was to set the
prisoners free. He actually saw someone more powerful and greater
than him do something that he thought only he could do.
And the question becomes for you is have you witnessed
(12:48):
something like that in your life? How have you had
an experience in your life where you've witnessed the power
of God and you've asked yourself, how is that even possible?
So this is how the jailer responded when he witnessed
something so profound, he said, after he brought them out,
he said to them, sir, what must I do to
(13:10):
be saved? So I'm wondering if there's anybody watching that
that's asking themselves watching the service, maybe after going through
an experience in your life, maybe witnessing a Christian in
your life and watching the power of God and looking
at their life and going how do I get what
they have?
Speaker 5 (13:30):
See?
Speaker 6 (13:30):
The jailer realized he had a deficiency, and he realized
that he needed to be rescued and saved from this
deficiency because there was something greater than him and more
powerful than him, that had the ability to do something
that only he thought that he could do. And so Peter,
I mean Paul says so beautifully and so eloquently, and
so simply. He says in verse thirty one, he goes,
(13:54):
believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved,
you and your household. And So if that's you today,
and you are saying, you know, what do I need
to do to be able to enter into a relationship
with someone that is more powerful and more greater than me,
(14:14):
the creator of this world, somebody who is so amazing
and so awesome that I could truly believe that they
will turn my life around. If that is you, I
want to pray for you, because, as the Word says,
all you have to do is believe God has already
done the work through his son Jesus Christ, and that
work was finished on the cross. So if you can
(14:36):
bow your heads and we will pray, Father God, I
thank you for each and every person that's made a
decision today to say, Lord, I want to enter into
a relationship with you. I pray that Lord God, that
they are saying this prayer, that their head is vowed
that they are admitting that they are sinned, that they
are in sinners in need of salvation and sinners in
(14:57):
need of a savior, that they confess as Father, that
you are Lord over it all, that you sent your
son to die on a cross for them, and that
he was risen on the third day and sits on
the right hand of the Father, and he is interceeding
on our behalf even now. So Father, I pray that
(15:18):
you would cover each and every individual who is responding
to this ultar car. I thank you that you would
send forth your holy spirits and that it would resonate
inside of them so that they would be so much
like you that when people see them, that they would
ultimately see you. I thank you that today may not
be such a quick turnaround, but I thank you that
(15:39):
you are committed not just to the end journey, but
you will also committed to their process. So Father, thank
you that although it might not be instantaneous, that you
would be there for them along the way. So Father,
we give you praise for each and every person making
this decision today. We look forward to the testimony that
we will hear from the individuals making this confession today,
and we just give you all the praise, all the
(16:00):
glory and all the honor, and we just say we
love you so much God and Jesus name me pray Amen,
and so you'll see some numbers on the screen. We're
gonna ask that you either text or you can call,
because we definitely want to connect and pray with you.
We love you, we look forward to hearing from you,
(16:22):
and we thank you. Amen.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
Amen. Well, welcome, welcome, Welcome. We don't take it lightly.
This is a significant part of the service because we
are in making sure that your soul is captured up
by the grace of God. So I'm excited. If that
was you. Welcome to the family. And please the numbers
(16:53):
on the screen, call that number or text the number.
We got individuals that want to speak with you, you
about what you just did and help mush you into
a deeper relationship with Christ.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Amen.
Speaker 7 (17:06):
It's not about a religion. It's about a relationship. Come on,
that's it, and that's what God wants. Yes, and it's
about his relational presence that is the central theme of
the Bible and all of.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
The stories of the day. Well, that's been good man. Yes,
we've got first time.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
Oh yes, I have a first time visitor Diane from Northampton, UK,
United Kingdom.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Nighty Kingdom. That's like over there across the pond. Yes,
across the pond. Yes, thank you for joining us part
of our family. Amen, yes, yes.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
And then the last thing is you'll be with the
Singles Ministry this Friday, right.
Speaker 7 (17:44):
And what's the topic. I don't know yet, you don't
know yet, all right, just come to show up and
I gotta get into get the leader of the Lord.
Speaker 5 (17:52):
And well, if you are a single and you want
to join the Singles Ministry or visit us during this it's.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
A zoom call. Yeah, this Friday. Going to the website.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
You have all the information there and once again you know,
we're moving to a different mindset of really valuing singles
and married at the same levels. Too often we have
a church, we make a mistake and say you know
that that marriage is an ultimate, you know, goal, and
we can't assume that for everybody.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
You have to you have to be a complete single
in order to have a good marriage.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
There you go, see see why your marriage doesn't Friday.
Marriage doesn't completely doesn't complete too?
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Yes, singles no, yes, so complete you we value the
same if you're single you're married, you're still valued. And
if you're called yes, because marriage is a calling patient. Yes,
you know some people are not called to that union.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
And yeah, don't give them too much information. Okay, can't
get out.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
And also we have an Eastern production as part of
our service, but it won't be part of the service
next Sunday.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
It's going to be on its own.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Uh night, yea yea at six o'clock today night, Sunday night,
Easter standard time.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Okay. Good.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
So our Easter production and our performing Arts ministry, you know,
are been working.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Hard and they always blow it up.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
Yes, all right, so don't forget to tune in Sunday evening,
Easter Sunday evening at six pm, and.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
We will have service in the building. Yeah, you're going
to be out here. I pray about it. It is okay.
You got to get the leading, okay.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
But we will be in person in Brooklyn and out
here in Long Island, and we have two services, one
at eight and the other at eleven.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
And you have to register. You have to register.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
And the reason why is such a large gap is
because we want to make sure that we clean the building. Yeah,
we sanitize it, go through the process for the next
group of.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
So we're going to spray people when they walk in, right, Hey,
if that's what it takes for them, we're not going
to do that. No, okay unless you annoying to it.
Spray you with the annoying He said, not just my feet.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Lord, but my whole body. For Peter Si and the
Holy water. You're gonna pray us out. Man.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
Yes, Father God, thank you so much for an awesome message,
awesome time being with you.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Lord. Reactionally, you continue.
Speaker 5 (20:09):
Just letting that marinate, letting that take hold into our hearts,
and really must wrestle in our hearts that we delight.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
And then desire Hellelijah, So we desire the correct things.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
We desire to write things, one that doesn't just benefit
self but benefits the individuals around us, and one that
glorifies you ultimately. So we actually you have your way
protect us and are coming and going throughout this week.
Let us keep our eyes on you. This is high
Holy week, So sesitize our spirit, give us the spirit
of a discerning so that we can hear your voice
(20:46):
throughout the day, so we can see your handiwork throughout
the day.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Amen. So you're a good God.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
I thank you for your goodness, your benevolence, always ready
to do good for us, for me. So we actually
you have your way and Jesus precious precious name and amen.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Amen. So wait wait wait, wait, wait before you go,
what about Good Friday?
Speaker 5 (21:07):
Oh yes, streaming Good Friday Live. We're gonna do a
sevilize things but with a little twist. All right, and
I'm excited live it's gonna be live and with streaming
live actually from Brooklyn Campus.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Nice, And what time does it start? The time it
starts is at eight pm.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
I want one of those. He's got a direct line,
you see. Yes, there no audience and extreaming live.
Speaker 5 (21:33):
We gotta we gotta see how to be worried because
live can be in person or it can be on
through So yes, it's virtually live, virtually don't come to
the building Friday, virtually live.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Yes, yes, thank you for being with us, Thank you
for being part of our expanding family. And for those
of you who are now part of the Christian Cultural
Center community, faith community and family who are outside of
the New York metropolitan area. We're going to continue to
build and strengthen our online campus. That's part of the experience,
(22:03):
so we'll be having both running together. For now, we're
going back into the building every first Sunday for the
next few months as we monitor all of the protocols
with the vaccines and the virus, the new strain of
the virus, and if that changes, we will let you know.
So for now, it's every first Sunday FIR until June. Right, yes,
(22:23):
all right, So thank you again. We love you, we
appreciate you. Thank you for appreciating what God is doing
through this ministry. And we're grateful for all churches and
ministries that are really representing the Kingdom of God. So
we love you, appreciate you, and thanks for joining us.
And last thing, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Good.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
So we did fifty two weeks our first full year,
oh man, and has this been the first have we
done this?
Speaker 1 (22:47):
And we've never done it the history. So fifty two
weeks of prayer, prayer, you know, and wow, you know?
Speaker 5 (22:53):
So this and it it the irony, It lands, It
landed last week and so this Friday we're doing our
Summai service and it's a collaborative uh Summrise with the
prayer call, so it's gonna be a virtual and visual
and calling call. So I'm excited about you know as
