The disappointment runs deep right now, but Sarah and Carson
are going to discover that sometimes we just need someone
to come alongside us for a while to help us
understand when disappointing things happen. And a few of our

their faith.

join them.

As he walks, Sarah rubs her hands on her her
arms to keep warm. She turns and looks out toward
her parents ranch and smiles.

Dear God, I uh, I'm not very good at talking
to you, but I want to try what you did
for King David long ago. Could you do that for
my mom and for me? Could you take away the
disappointment and give us.

before I even finished high school.

in fact, i'm taking classes now to further my education.

the Bible, Oh like Psalm forty.

Oh what does Psalm forty say here?

Absolutely? Okay, Well, Carson, Psalm forty and verse one. Still

I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined to
me and heard my cry.

So God heard this person's cry.

Yes, King David wrote this Psalm. He poured out a
lot of his disappointments to God. Go on, he God
also brought me up out of a horror, out of
the miery clay, and set my feet upon a rock
and established my steps.

Hey, we're on a rock.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Right now, not any old rock, rock pile.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Said like a proud citizen of Jeleet.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
In this verse, David is talking about how God lifted
him out of his difficulties and set him on a rock,
a symbol of God's.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
Strength, so he could trust in God again.
Speaker 10 (16:25):
Yep.

And God comforted him and he helped him.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
How did God help?
Speaker 3 (16:29):
The next verse has it verse three, he has put
a new song in my mouth, praise to our God.
Many will see it in fear and will trust in
the Lord.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
A new song in his mouth. So the king got
past the disappointment.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Yes, and in fact he found a new life again.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
That's a lovely thing that God did for David.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
And God can do the same thing for all of
us too.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
He can.
