and school hasn't even started yet. Joyce Holt and the

other teachers made a lot of phone calls yesterday. They
notified parents about the power outage and the field trip
to the dig site, and then parents began making calls
of their own. Now it seems the whole town has
heard about the electric line that was cut by an excavator.
Stan and John Harris have been busy too, planning how

to get the project finished with no electricity. How will
they be able to finish the retaining wall and the
repairs to Missus Lewis's classroom before the next big rainstorm?
And how will the students get to the mudguy's dig
site if there's no one to drive the bus. Well,
let's find some answers. In today's episode, it's the last

Well, we're gonna go up the hills, so I can
show you some interesting fossils, but it's important that you

gets a whole lot steeper beyond them.

Well, it's muddy, so it'd be easy to lose your footing,
especially for the younger kids.

because there's some pretty cool stuff up there. Okay, now
our first fossil is in this trench I dug right here, Lily,
can you point it out to everyone?

As you can all see this is a trilobite.

What kind of bite a trilobite?

And what can you tell everyone about trilobites, Lily?

They're extinct arthropods, arthropods.

It just looks like a big bug.

So what does that tell us about this fossil that
I found way up here, nearly at the top of
the mountain.

This used to be an ocean, These.

Mountains used to be underwater. That's evidence of Noah's flood.

Yes, Trilobites are some of the most common fossils. They're
proof that water once covered the whole earth. They're also
a proof that many fossils were preserved very quickly.

Oh they had soft bodies, so they'd rot really fast.

But the point, Jenet, is that they were obviously buried
very very rapidly, like in a catastrophic flood, like the jellyfish.

There's plenty of activity at Discovery Mountain Academy this morning,
and school hasn't even started yet. Joyce Holt and the

other teachers made a lot of phone calls yesterday. They
notified parents about the power outage and the field trip
to the dig site, and then parents began making calls
of their own. Now it seems the whole town has
heard about the electric line that was cut by an excavator.
Stan and John Harris have been busy too, planning how

to get the project finished with no electricity. How will
they be able to finish the retaining wall and the
repairs to Missus Lewis's classroom before the next big rainstorm?
And how will the students get to the mudguy's dig
site if there's no one to drive the bus. Well,
let's find some answers. In today's episode, it's the last

Our first guest is the mud guy.

What's the best evidence of a worldwide flood?
Speaker 10 (05:46):
Well, the best evidence is God's testimony in the Book
of Genesis.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
But there's more evidence right under you.
Speaker 8 (05:52):
The floor of the bus is evidence.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Now the earth itself is evidence.
Speaker 10 (05:58):
The flood buried millions of dead things all over the
world in layer upon layer of rock.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
They were buried very quickly.
Speaker 8 (06:07):
Next question, how could a wooden boat survive something like
Noah's flood?
Speaker 10 (06:12):
Well, scientists have studied the proportions of the arc and
it was incredibly seaworthy. They could have tossed and turned
violently and still kept floating.
Speaker 8 (06:22):
Tossed and turned, So Noah might have gotten seasick.
Speaker 10 (06:25):
Oh maybe, But the point to remember is that God
kept him safe.
Speaker 9 (06:30):
In Bible Class Chaplin.

Jake said, it takes faith to believe in the story
of Noah.
Speaker 10 (06:35):
God does ask us to have faith, mia, but he
doesn't require blind faith.

He gives us plenty of evidence to support our faith.

So you believe there's plenty of evidence for Noah's flood.

Yeah, I've already shown you all some of the evidence,

someone who understands archaeology to help us find clues, clues
to what hold Noah's flood. But first I have some

there'll be a whole crew up here searching for fossils.

Yes, Jake, I can see now. When I started scouting
this area, I found a couple of especially interesting spots.

How you've found fossils, didn't you?

Yes, I did, Lily, rex fossils, Sorry, Harold, nothing that impressive, Harold.

If the mudguy found a t rex, he wouldn't be
on the field trip with us. He'd be on the
cover of National Geographic.
Speaker 10 (09:13):
Well, we're gonna go up the hills, so I can
show you some interesting fossils, but it's important that you
stay below those big boulders. Why, well, it's because it
gets a whole lot steeper beyond them.
Speaker 9 (09:27):
Steep hills don't scare me.
Speaker 10 (09:29):
Well, it's muddy, so it'd be easy to lose your footing,
especially for the younger kids.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
I bet I could do it.
Speaker 10 (09:36):
It's not worth the risk, Lily, which is too bad
because there's some pretty cool stuff up there. Okay, now
our first fossil is in this trench I dug right here, Lily,
can you point it out to everyone?
Speaker 3 (09:49):
As you can all see this is a trilobite.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
What kind of bite a trilobite?
Speaker 10 (09:55):
And what can you tell everyone about trilobites, Lily?
Speaker 3 (09:59):
They're extinct arthropods, arthropods.
Speaker 9 (10:02):
It just looks like a big bug.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
To me, Lily. What's an example of a modern arthropod?
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Praps? Arthropods mostly lived in oceans.
Speaker 10 (10:13):
So what does that tell us about this fossil that
I found way up here, nearly at the top of
the mountain.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
This used to be an ocean, These.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Mountains used to be underwater. That's evidence of Noah's flood.
Isn't it.
Speaker 10 (10:28):
Yes, Trilobites are some of the most common fossils. They're
proof that water once covered the whole earth. They're also
a proof that many fossils were preserved very quickly.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Oh they had soft bodies, so they'd rot really fast.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Ew.
Speaker 9 (10:44):
That's kind of disgusting.
Speaker 10 (10:46):
But the point, Jenet, is that they were obviously buried
very very rapidly, like in a catastrophic flood, like the jellyfish.

Yeah, and here's more proof. Take a look.

Hey, that's a leaf fossil.

Yeah. Have you ever tried to preserve a leaf?

I tried ones, but it just shrivels up.

Once leaves die, they begin to curl up.

Right, Why didn't the edges of that leaf curl up?

The leaves were buried before they had a chance to
shrivel up. Now, Lily, because you've been such a great assistant,
