Bartholomew Or as he takes us on another exciting jour
and the Word of God.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
John Chapter one, verse sixteen through eighteen. From his abundance,
we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For
the law was given through Moses, but God's unfeling love
and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever
seen God but the unique one who is himself God
(01:24):
is near to the Father's heart. He has revealed God
to us. From his abundance, we have all received one
gracious blessing after another. I want to just preach about
this morning from this subject. More than enough, more than enough.
(01:50):
What an acknowledgment, brothers and sisters, of Christ's greatness. We
read about it and John chapter one, verse one, it
says him the beginning word, which is Jesus Christ already existent,
The word was with God, and the Word was God.
(02:11):
What an acknowledgment of Jesus Christ's greatness. Thank God that
we serve one God who manifests himself in three persons,
God the Father, God, the Son Jesus Christ, and God
the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
One God and yet three manifestation. Jesus is God.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
That's what John chapter one, verse one is going to
remind the Jehovah whitness. You got it, Rome. Jesus Christ
is not a God. Jesus Christ is God, Muslim, you
got it, Rome. He's not just one of the great prophets.
Jesus Christ is God. What an acknowledgment of the greatness
(02:52):
of Jesus Christ. But then, what an answer to man's guilt?
What an answer to man's guilt because John one, verse
twelve says, but to all who believe him and accepted him,
he gave the right to become children of God.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Thank God, we're in the family of God.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Thank God that we're no longer shackled in sin, no
longer destined.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
For hell, no longer bound by the flesh. But Jesus
Christ is the answer to our guilt.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
All of us have sined and come short of the
glory of God.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
But when you get Jesus, you get.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
The family of God and forgiveness of your sin. What
an answer to man's guilt. But then, what an abundance
of Christ's grace? What an abundance of Christ's grace?
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Did you see? If they're John Chapter one, verse sixteen.
Matter of fact, I like it out of the NIV.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
It says, out of his fullness, we have all received
grace in place of grace all ready given.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Like that, y'all, He.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Said, we have been given grace in addition to the
grace that we've already received. Anybody saved in here, let
me let me see the save folks in the house,
and save folks. If you're on line, can you throw
up some a little hind's hands, saying, look, if you're saved,
you already got grace to save you. Because Ephiesians chapter two,
(04:22):
verse eight says, by grace of your saved through faith.
It is not of your stone doing. It's a gift
of God. Thank God for the save and grace. Amazing grace.
How sweet it sound that saved of wretch like me?
I once was lost, but now I'm found. What's blind?
(04:44):
But now I see I got grace.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
That saved me.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
But how many know God keeps on giving me grace.
He gave me grace that shields me. He gave me
grace that shocked to me from the storm. He gave
me grace that secured me of my future.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Thank God, he keeps on adding more and more grace.
What an abundance of Christ grace.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
And that's what I want to share with you this morning, Brian,
that since Jesus Christ grace is more than enough, don't
miss a bee. Since Jesus Christ grace is more than enough,
don't miss a being. We have been given y'all more
than enough grace for everything, every chackle, every storm that
(05:38):
we're going to face, every problem that will hit us
head on. We have been given more than enough grace.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
I need you to know that.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Look, no matter what the devil brings into your pastway,
you got grace enough to deal with that. No matter
what the doctor says, you have enough grace to deal
with that. No matter what family drama you find yourself in,
you got enough grass, more than enough grace. And so
(06:10):
don't miss a Ben't don't miss a bet, don't miss it.
Be come here, Paul, Paul. Paul can give us an
example because Paul said in Second Corinthian chapter twelve, I
had a thorn in the flesh, and I Paul that
the one that had healed other folks, the one that
had blessed other folks.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I prayed to God.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
I beg God, three time, take the thorn out of
my flesh.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
God.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I want to be able to serve y'all, and I
can serve you better without this thorn.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
You know what God told him.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
I'm not gonna take the thorn out, but here's what
I'm going to do. My grace is sufficient, It's more
than enough, and my strength is made perfect.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
In your time of weakness.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
And Paul, when God, when God gave Paul grace, Paul said,
my goodness. When I think about the grace of God,
That's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna thank God for
my infirmities. I'm gonna thank God for my try you is.
I'm gonna thank God for my troubles and tribulation because
when I'm weak, the Lord is strengthen me. When I'm empty,
(07:13):
the Lord will fill me up. When I get knocked down,
Grace is going.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
To lift me up. And I'm gonna give God the
glory for grace.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
More than enough grace, and so brown this one, I
just want to encourage us on this, on this my gifness,
eighth day of a brand new year. Don't miss a
beat in these dog times. Don't you miss a beat
in these dark times. This is the spiritual condition that
(07:45):
we find ourselves in. Yes, these are dark time. John
Chapter one, verse four and five. The Word gave life
to everything that was created, and his life brought light
to everyone. In light, the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it. When you consider
(08:10):
the spiritual condition of our world today is just like
it was in the beginning. In the beginning, God created
the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void.
It was empty. It was, and the Bible said, darkness
covered the.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Face of the deed.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
And yet the first thing God said then in the beginning,
was let there be light. Before he hung the sun
in the sky, before he started the moon to rule
by the night.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Before he put the stars in the sky. Y'all, he said,
let there be light, and light appear.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Do you not know, brothers, in the same condition physical condition,
then is the spiritual condition?
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Today?
Speaker 3 (08:53):
There is darkness all around us. And it seem as if,
brothers and sister that the spiritual darkness is getting so
thick until people can't see God. People can't see God.
John chapter one, verse ten says that Jesus came into
the very world he created, but the world didn't recognize him.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
We're living in a day of time.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
The reason why we need the Gospel to go viral
because folks cannot see the Lord. Second Correpti in chapter
four and verse four and Saydan, who is the God
of this world, has blinded it. The minds of those
who don't believe. They are unable to see the glory is.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Life of the good News of Jesus Christ.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
They don't understand the message about the glory of Christ,
who is the exact likeness of God. We wonder why
people are caught up in crime, why people are doing
so much evil and wicked, It is because of the
fact that they can't see God.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
So dog.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Until they can't see God, God so dog, until people
can't see themselves. Were living day and time now, brothers
and sisters, where folks literally have lost their minds. They're
sick and don't even know these sick they need help
and don't won't even cry out for help.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Have you ever seen folks like that?
Speaker 3 (10:17):
You know they addict, that they know they are addicted,
and yet they can't see themselves because of the darkness
that's all around. We're so dark, y'all, until people can't
even see others. We're living in such a meantime selfish
society until the love has grown cold, and everybody it
(10:38):
seems like it's only in it for themselves and can't
even think about others and what they can do for
somebody else.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
But I'm here to tell you Brown that even and
the miss up.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
These dark times, don't miss a beat because the Lord
has given us more than enough grace, And so what
does he want us to do.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Walk in the light. Walk in the light. Walk in
the light. Regardless of the darkness around you. You walk
in the light.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Look, y'all, we don't have to be lost and confused.
We don't have to be cloudy and days. We can
walk in the light because His word is a limp
to our feet.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
His word is a light to our passway. And what
I love about light, It conquers darkness. The more that
you walk.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
In the light, every time your foot hit this payment,
I need you to know, light is going to dispel
dark Now when you are in the word of God
and in the will of God, grace will give you
light to be able to see up the road, to
be able to see around the corner.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Walk in the light.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Don't miss a bet, because we've been given more than
enough grace to walk in the light. But not only,
not only, don't misrebeat in these dark times. Don't miss
a beat in these depressing times. In these depressing times,
call this the emotional condition. The emotional condition. What I
love about John, y'all, he never forgot who he was
(12:08):
and what God had called him to do. John Chapter one,
verse twenty three. John replied in the words of the
prophet Isaiah. When they asked them who you are, he said,
I am a voice shouting in the wilderness, clear the
way of the Lord's coming. I don't miss a beat
in these depressing time. In these depressing time, I need
to remind us that the pandemic did a number on people.
(12:33):
So many people were already disappointed, y'all. So many people
were already detached and depressed even before the pandemic, and
being isolated for those couple of years, shut off for
everybody else, it seemed like some now have just lost
their dry and determination.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Have you seen some folks like that?
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Sometimes they don't even want to get up, They don't
even want to get gone, They don't even want to
get back out there and get in the job market.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
They have lost their purpose. They have lost And.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Yet John says, God has given us.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
More than enough grace. He's given us more than enough grace.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
But even when the devil wants to attack our mind,
even when the devil wants to steal our joy, God
gives us more than enough grace. We don't have to
miss a beating. He's given us more than enough grace, y'all,
to remain humble before the Lord.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
That's what I love about John.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
They tried to put John up on a pedal st
They tried to say, John, you're the Messiah.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
John, You're one of the prophet John, aren't you Elijah?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
John said none all. I'm just a voice crying in
the wilderness. I don't have to be somebody else. I
don't have to want what somebody else have. I'm so
humble enough until I'm content with who God made man.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
I'm content with whose I am, with what I have.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
He God has given us grace to remain humble. I
need you to know something, Brown, When you have the
grace of God, you don't need people to pump and
prime you in order to give you the oop that
you need, the determination that you need.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
But when you got grace, you wake up in the morning.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Greater is he that is in mean than he that
is in the world.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
If nobody else like my fire, that's all right. I'm
already licked. And it wouldn't because of what I hit.
It wouldn't because of what I smoke.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
But it wasn't because I got grace down on the inside.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Grace to remain humble.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
John said, I got more grace than only to remain
humble in who I am. I got enough grace to
remain helpful. I know plots are against me. I know
the establishment against med put a calling on my life.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
John said, And I'm going.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
To keep being a voice crying in the wildernness. Folks
need hope, they need an answer to what they are
going through. And John said, I got the message. It
is a message of God. I'm going to remain helpful
to what God have called me to do. I need
you to know, Brown, Let's remain helpful. Let's keep on
(15:24):
being a blessing to other individual. God has given us
enough grace.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
And here's what I love about it.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
When you help others, it won't take anything away from you.
When you give to others, When you bless grace will
give you more than enough to keep on sustaining. I
got enough grace to remain helpful. Then John said, I
got enough grace to remain holy. I don't have to
(15:53):
be swayed by the times. I don't have to give
in to sin and the flesh. But I can be
holy before the Lord because He's given me more than enough.
He's given me more than enough grace in these depressing
time and so brown. Don't misserbeat, don't misser beeat. How
do I not, mister be preacher. Win in your purpose
(16:15):
when in your purpose and an only walk into life.
But when in your purpose, Look, you matter to God,
your life matter to God. You mean something to God
and am to your family. Don't let the devil began.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
To mess with your mind. Don't let the devil I
have control.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Don't let the devil keep you down in a valley
of despair and depression.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
No, No, you win in whom God have called.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
You to be a charge to keep my hair, A
God to glorify, who sent his son mine soul to
save and fit it for the sky to serve this
present age mind, call him to fulfilled with all my
power and gay to do my master will. How many
know that when you're walking in the light, when you're
(17:06):
winning in your purpose, God give you more grace to
win in your purpose. We got grace, Shaw, not only
for these dark time, not only for these depressing times.
We got grace in these divided times. Becall, this is
the social condition, the condition. In chapter one, verse nineteen
(17:29):
of this is John's testimony women the Jewish leaders since
priests them temple assistance from Jerusalem to ask John who
are you?
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Who are you? The establishment was against John.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Political establishment was against John because of the fact he
spoke the truth. Even if the king was doing wrong,
he spoke the truth. It eventually cost John his head chaw.
But the political establishment was against him. The religious establishment
was against him because he couldn't be control. He couldn't
be silenced.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
He couldn't He wasn't a yes person.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
No, no, John didn't quit or slowed down, even when
other does try to get him to stop.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
And the reason why is because he had grace.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
He had more than enough grace, grace to exist despite
the conflict. I wish I could tell you people wouldn't
be against you. I wish I could tell you that
life would be smooth selling truth of the matter.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Brown. In ifet life, you will have tribulation.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
But yet, y'all, we can be of good cheer because
the Lord has given.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Us more than enough grace.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
And the Lord says, I'm all ready conker the world.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
We can have grace despite the conflict.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Yes, the Lord will prepare a table before you. Even
in the presence of your in amit. You can have
grace despite the conflict. But then, brothers and sisters, we
got grace to resist the competition. We got grace to
resist the competition. These are divided time. But what I
(19:14):
love about John is the example that he set in
verse thirty five to thirty seven. The following day, John
was again stemmed in with two of his disciples. As
Jesus walked by, John looked at him and declare, Look,
there is the lamb of God. When John's two disciples
hurt this, they followed Jesus. We got enough grace to
(19:37):
resist the competition. I believe, brothers and sisters, there's one
something that ought to happen in every church, in every church,
and that is we ought to resist competition. Look, brothers
and sisters, there's enough sinners around to fill up every church.
(19:57):
We don't have the point fingers. We don't have to
bad mouth preachers and churches. We don't have to try
to steal somebody. Look, there's enough sent us in the
world to fill up ground and to fill up every
the church. We are not in competition, but we are
in the kingdom building business. And so Brown this is
(20:19):
gonna be a year if we need to encourage somebody
to go down the street if you need to encourage
somebody to go up to their local our church.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Look, you need to tell somebody you need to be
in church.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
It doesn't matter where you go, because all of us
are serve in one save y'all, Jesus Christ. We have
enough grace to.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Resist the competition.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Then we got enough grace to persist even with the
challenges that face us. Now believe it's a new day.
How do we bounce back? How do we get back?
I tell not to just where we were before the pandemic,
but even rise and become better than we were before.
There are challenges all around us, and yet the Bible
(21:04):
tells us, y'all, we don't have.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
To miss abe because we have the grace of God.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
We have grace of God to work for the kingdom.
That's what we're doing, y'all. We're working for the kingdom.
John said, I'm just a voice. I'm the one that's
pointing folks to Jesus Christ. And when he saw Jesus,
he's something that gave his disciples over them to Jesus.
And that's all I stop about to tell you this morning. Brown,
don't miss a beat. Don't miss a beat. Brown, don't
(21:32):
miss abeat. I know these are evil times that we're
living in. I know the devil is busy. Don't mis abeat.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
I know times are tough right now.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
People are searching, people need answer to their problem, people
need some hope in the midst of them despair. But
Brown God is saying, don't miss abeat. I know these
are challenging times. I know it's tough a raising children
that won't get caught up in the pressures of this
world around.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
And yet I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Don't miss a beat, don't miss a beat, don't miss
a beat. Bar We've already gotten off to a start, y'all,
where it seemed as if we have had one bit
of bad news after another bit of bad news, this
loss after another loss. Sometimes folks say, how in the
world can you keep on going? I'm here to tell
(22:22):
you we don't have to.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Miss a beat. We don't have to miss a beat
because we.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Have more than enough, more than enough, more than enough,
more than enough, more than enough.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Wait. Wait, wait a minute, preacher, Wait a minute, wait
a minute.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Seemed like I heard this sermon before. Ain't this a
sermon you preach last week? I mean you you called
it more than enough.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Now, I know some of y'all wasn't here lest some
to that.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
But but but why in the world are you preaching
the same sermon again?
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Why why are you wearing the same time?
Speaker 3 (22:56):
I did change my shirt, But why are you wearing
the same time again?
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Well, for the reason why is because I wanted you
to know.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Last week it was an Old Testament promise that God said,
I'm going to give you more than enough. But I
want you to know that the Old Testament promise have
become a New Testament reality because even in the New Testament,
God says, I'm giving you more than enough, and I'm
(23:28):
giving you more than enough because of grace. What they
had in the Old Testament with Moses under the law
have become better in the New Testament with Jesus Christ
under grace, and thank be to God, we are now
under grace. And even with being under grace, y'all, we
(23:51):
have more than enough. Because he said, I'm gonna give
you one blessing aufter another.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
I'm gonna keep on on blessing you.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Matter of fact, the blessings of grace will overtake you.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Matter of fact.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
He said it was the Law through Moses that gave
us that we received the law through Moses.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
But in Christ.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Jesus, we have now the unfelling love and the faithful
them that have come through Christ.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Jesus.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
And Hebrew is going to tell us that Christ is
better than the law. He is the fulfillment of the law.
And praise be to God. We are under grace and
not under the law anymore because of Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
He's a prophecy fulfilled.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Because of Jesus Christ, he's a prayer answer. He's the
promised given, He's the pardon granted. I'm so glad that
I got Jesus Christ, and I got the grace that
Jesus brings to each one of us because we were undone.
(25:01):
But one Friday morning on an old rugged cross, Can
I just talk about grace? Can I talk about that
amazing grace who looked beyond our.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Faults and supplied I every need.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Thank God for grace, the unmerited favor of God. We
couldn't earn it, we couldn't buy it, we couldn't work
for it.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
We wasn't good enough for it.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
But Jesus, one Friday morning, on an old rugged cross,
hung blod and.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Die for your sin and my sin.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
It was nothing but grace that held Jesus to the cross.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
It was nothing but grace.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
That caused him to look out among his excusers and say.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
Thank God for grace, amazing grace.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
That same grace that hung him on the cross put
them down him the grave.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
But early some the morning.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Good God on Mighty, he got up with all power
in his hands. Thank God for grace. Thank God for grace.
How good is grace? Too many dangers, tars and snass,
I'm already come twas grace that helped me say thus
(26:31):
far and grace will leave me.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
On faith God for grace. That's why I stopped by
the tail.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Because of God's grace, we got more than enough, more
than enough power to climb the rugged hills.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
We got marred than enough grace. Because of grace.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
We got more than enough love to even love our
inn mission. We got more than enough peace to keep
us in the midst of the storm. We got lord
than enough strength to wade through the waters.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Tain't God for grace. And I don't know about y'all,
but I don't believe he brought me this far to
leave me now.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
I know it's been almost thirty four years, but I
ain't got tired yet. And I need you to know something, Brown,
that I'm planning not to miss abeat. Not to miss abeat.
You got too much on you. But because of grace,
I can bear my Lord. Because of grace, I can
(27:42):
walk with my head up the couse of grace, I
can stand despite it all? How can I manage it
and not miss abeat? Because He's given us more than
enough grace? How can we keep our heads when everybody

Speaker 3 (28:07):
How can we stay aflu even in our finances when
the economy is sinking grace? How can we keep up

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Than enough grace?

How can we juggle the hectic steadshows, grieve our losses
and keep on going? He's given us more than enough grace?
How can we encourage our youth despite the pure pressure
to stay true to God?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
He's given us more than enough grace? How can we
stumble it and yet pick.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Ourselves back up, just ourselves.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Off and keep on going?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
He's given us more than enough grace. How can we
survive the plots of the internet with stamm the storms,
eyes about my hurts.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
Faint God for grace, faint God for grace. Fang yeah

(29:38):
