Speaker 1 (00:01):
Islam is not like other religions, and some people who
don't like the truth, they don't get that and they say,
you know, let me tell you what it is.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's just these fringe people.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
There's a very small amount of those folks that are
radical Islams and they have hijack Islam. You know who's
hijacked Islam is the people who say, well, we're moderate. Well,
if you're a moderate who doesn't believe in violence, then
you're not practicing true Islam, because true Islam is.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Believe or die.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
So it's not like other faiths.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Many Muslims today claim that the Islamic faith is the
one true faith following their God Allah. But what should
Christians know about this Islamic faith that is the fastest
growing religion in our world today? Is Islam a religion
of peace? As so many say? This is from his

(01:23):
heart with Pastor Jeff Shreeve, thank you for joining us today. Now, Pastor,
I suppose any talk about religion is considered controversial by somebody,
But today you're going to speak the truth and love
about Islam. And it's a message from your series Future Shock.
What in the world is going on and why did
you want to include a message in this series on

(01:46):
the Islamic faith.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Larry before nine to eleven, very few people in America,
very few Christians in America knew much at all about Islam. Well,
Islam has really come to the forefront of converseas and
isis and what they're doing in the name of their god.
It's just atrocious. But Christians need to be aware of

(02:09):
what are the roots of this religion. Who was Mohammed,
what is his background, what is the history, the recorded
history about him and what he did. It's shocking to know.
And there is this belief in America that the religion
of Islam is peaceful. That's not true. The religion that

(02:31):
Mohammed practiced, which is true Islam, since he's the founder
of Islam, he was very violent. He was much more
like the folks that are involved in Isis than any
kind of moderate Muslim, any kind of peaceful Muslim. Mohammed
wasn't peaceful. And so in this message, we just look
at what is the record, what is the truth about

(02:54):
this guy, and then how is that religion set up?
And what should be our response? Response should not be
to hate Muslim people. We don't hate Muslim people. We
love all people. We love Muslim people. They're not bad people.
It's a bad system, but that doesn't mean they're bad.
They're people for whom Christ died, and we need to

(03:15):
pray for them. We need to witness to them. We
need to know what they believe so that we can
be more effective in sharing Christ to them.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Well, let's get started learning so we can be prepared
as the day of Christ's return draws near. Open your
Bible to Matthew chapter twenty four, verses three through fourteen,
as Pastor Jeff exposes the truth about Islam.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Now, many people don't want to hear the truth about Islam.
If you say anything at all that's negative about Islam,
you might end up debt. If you say Aslam is violent,
they will tell you better not say that anymore. If
you keep saying we're violent, we'll kill you. Oh okay, Well.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Prove my point right.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
So we're going to talk about the truth about Islam.
I'm not going after any person, any individual, any Muslim.
I'm talking about a philosophy or religion, a doctrine known
as Islam. So if this is a disclaimer, if you
can't handle the truth, now would be a good time

(04:23):
to leave, because I'm going to share the truth. I'm
going to speak the truth in love, but I'm going
to share with you the truth about Islam. In Matthew
chapter twenty four, Jesus was commenting to the disciples, or
they were commenting to him about the temple and how
beautiful the temple was. And Jesus said to them, do

(04:44):
you not see all these things? Truly, I say to you,
not one stone here shall be left upon another which
will not be torn down. They were shocked, What do
you mean this beautiful temple? Everything's going to be torn down?
And it says in Matthew twenty four, verse three. And
as he was sitting on amount of olives, the disciples
came to him privately, saying, tell us when will these

(05:05):
things be? When is the temple going to be torn down?
And what will be the sign of your coming and
of the end of the age. Three different questions they asked, Kim,
we kind of all lump it into future things, but
they asked, really three different questions, when will these things be?
The destruction of the temple took place in seventy a
d under rome when they came in to get the Jews,

(05:29):
and they burned everything, and the temple was burned with fire,
and the fire was so intense the gold in the
temple began to melt, and it melted through the cracks,
and it was inside the cracks.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
And the stones.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
And so the Roman soldiers took pry bars and they
pulled every stone off of the other one to get
at the gold. And in seventy a d not one
stone of the beautiful temple that Herod built took. In
forty six years, not one stone was left upon another.
So when will these things be the destruction of the temple?
What will be the sign of your coming and the
end of the age. And Jesus answered verse four and

(06:02):
said to them, see to it that no one misleads you,
for many will come in my name, saying I am
the Christ, and will mislead many. And you will be
hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See to it
that you're not frightened. For those things must take place.
But that is not yet the end. For nation will
rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various

(06:23):
places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these
things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they
will deliver you to tribulation and will kill you, and
you will be hated by all nations on account of
my name. And at that time many will fall away
and will deliver up one another and hate one another.
And many false prophets will arise.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
And will mislead many.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.
But the one who endures to the end, he shall
be saved. Literally, if you endure to the end. The
reason you endure to the end is because you are
saved and wor sayd Verse fourteen. And the gospel of
this Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for
a witness to all the nations. And then the end

(07:08):
shall come. Now I want to zero in on verse eleven.
And many false prophets will arise and will mislead many,
will mislead many. A false prophet is literally a pseudo prophet,
that is, someone who acts the part of a divinely

(07:32):
inspired prophet, one who utters falsehoods.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Under the name of divine prophecies.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
A false prophet, a pseudo prophet somebody who presents himself
as speaking for God, yet he's not speaking for God,
and Jesus said, there are coming many false prophets and
they will mislead many. Now in our world today, Islam
is the fastest growing real religion. Islam is the second

(08:02):
largest religion in the world, with somewhere around one point
five billion converts one point five billion, roughly twenty five
percent of the world's population.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Self describes himself as Islamic.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Now I want to share with.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
You three discoveries about the truth concerning Islam.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Truth number one.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Islam was founded around six' TEN ad by a man Named.
Mohammed note the year six'. Ten ad mohammed was born
in FIVE. Seventy Ad jesus christ was born IN. Four
bc most people believe either four OR five bc. He

(08:52):
died there's some debate about exactly, the year but he
lived to be about thirty three thirty four YEARS. Of
aa He died some say THIRTY, two ad some say THIRTY.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Three ad but he died around that.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Time Period and christianity got its start. Fifty Days The
holy spirit came the Day of pentecost and the church
began to. Take off so the church is taking off
in thirty two thirty three. A d and it's been
going for almost six, hundred years and then all of,

(09:29):
a sudden This guy mohammed comes on the scene in six'.
Ten a d mohammed was a merchant and He, lived
in mecca Which Is.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
In saudi arabia and.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
As the Story goes, of mohammad's life he claimed that
he was visited By the angel gabriel when he was
in a cave meditating about two to three miles away
from The. City of Mecca and so mohammad is. In
this cave he's. Forty years old he's in this cave
and he is meditating and, he is praying and all

(10:03):
of a sudden he gets a visitation from. An angelic Being.
It scared muhammad he didn't know what this.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Thing was that was.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Coming, to him now, in his defense, most of us
if we got a visit from some kind, of angelic
being we would be a little nervous. About that, too
you know When the angel gabriel came to, Marry and said,
hail favored one she was. A little, concerned he said
you don't need, to be afraid but we would get
afraid with that but he Said That the angel gabriel

(10:35):
visited him and told him that he was The, prophet
of allah the prophet of a law who has been
called to preach The.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Message of allah and that's.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
What he believed mohammed believed That he, was allah's, prophet
the messenger the one called to preach Religion. Known as
islam now, you, can say well did he really get
Visited By? The angel?

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Gabriel you Know the apostle paul Says this in.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Galatians chapter one if we or an angel from heaven
should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we,
have preached you let. Him be accursed even if an
angel told, you something different if it doesn't line up,
with a gospel let. Him be accursed It Says, in
two corinthians chapter eleven. And verse fourteen elan satan can

(11:33):
disguise himself to look like an, angel of light and the.
Devil is smart and when the devil comes at someone
to start a movement that is going to influence one
point five billion, people in error how is. He gonna
come is he gonna show up? Like the devil is
he gonna show? His, true colors no he's gonna show

(11:55):
himself as an. Angel, Of, light now mohammed when he
had this encounter with quote Unong, the angel gabriel it
scared him and he came back and told his wife
that he didn't know if he had a contact with
a holy angel or. A demonic spirit he sensed that
there might be something, evil in this and his, wife, assured, him, No,

(12:18):
no mohammed you.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Are too good that was A.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Message from allah that was a Message, from the god
and it was, a good message and you are to.
Be the prophet so he Believed he. Was allah's prophet Allah,
means The. God the god it will talk about that in,
just a minute but That's how a muslim understands The,

(12:41):
Name for God allah, The god literally and so he
Says he, was allah's prophet and he advanced The religion of.
Islam through, Force through force islam Means. SUBMISSION To god
a muslim is one who's Sub, myths.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
To God, to The, god To, allah.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
And islam from its inception IN, six' ten ad has
always been, a religion of force a. Religion, of The
sword now when mohammad started, out in six' ten it
took him a little, while to get some traction and
then by six thirteen he only had about forty converts

(13:25):
and his, wife and some you know close, relatives and things.
Like that and some friends but then, when he got
things going. He started to conduct raids. He started to attack. Caravans,
He needed some Money. See mohammed lived in mecca He.
Was a merchant in mecca mecca, was the.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Place for polytheism to where people worshiped.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
All kinds Of different gods and in mecca you had
This special place called the ka'bah and that had three,
hundred and sixty different idols one for each.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Day of their calendar, year and.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
People would, come and merchants would come And they would
come to mecca, to worship and to trade and so
their worship. Was, tied into their commerce, Well all of
a sudden, MOHAMMAD comes along and says I, am the
messenger of allah and, there is only one God, and
that god is allah and all. These other gods are

(14:23):
false And so the people of, mecca didn't really, like,
that because it's like hey you're trying to mess, up
what we have here and we're. Not going along with
that and so they, didn't Go along with him and mohammad,
didn't like that very.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Much and pretty Soon they started to.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Boycott mohammad and his family his uncle was the one
that really ran the. Show as far as financially they,
started to Boycott their family, and so mohammad needed money and.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
So what did he do he began.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
To conduct raids on caravans where he would attack people
and steal.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
From people and. Sometimes have to kill people and, so.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
That was going on and he was, building a and
building up and finally he started To, go against places
like medina which, is two hundred miles away which. Became
home base for him and, then when he got stronger
He came and Came after mecca and conquered Mecca and
he set. Up, islam as the religion, now when he

(15:19):
would conquer he, would give People a choice you choose
islam as your new, religion or suffer the consequences and
the consequences were normally death. Or being sold into slavery there's,
a report verified by many Many, different sources that in
medina When He fought against the kurazi jews tribe of,

(15:44):
about two thousand of them he commanded that they Claim
allegiance pledge Allegiance to allah and, to muhammad as the prophet,
and they wouldn't do it and so he executed all.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
The men of this tribe.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
He started in early morning he would take five or
six of them at. A time and behead them and
their historical report says it took, them until morning until
night and they finished beheading. All the men by torchlight
and they sold the women. And the children into slavery
although There was one, woman that mohammad really liked so

(16:21):
he took her that same night, as his quote unquote
wife took her.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
To have sex with her that's the.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Kind of guy he was you Talk about the character
of mohammed.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
And.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
People get really upset man you draw a picture of the.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Guy and People freak out so what i'm saying is
not going to be, popular with lots Of People.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Especially in the middle.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
East they would freak out by Now They've, Already they
got jeff? Shreeve where does he live because. We're gonna
go kill him they. Don't like this at? All but
truth is truth? Can you handle the truth mohammad. Had
a number of wives his first wife was the one
that she. Was fifteen years his senior she was the

(17:04):
one when he first and. Six', ten got the Vision,
she said that is of god. That's not of Some,
evil spirit that, is of god, that is genuine that
is true. And you need to follow that you. Are
the prophet of a lot she was the. One who
influenced him, that way but when she died then he.
Began to multiply wives to himself.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
And to show. You what this man was like one
of his.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Wives was his daughter in law his Adopted son had
a wife and, muhammad thought she was pretty attractive and
so word got to his son in law, and, His,
son in law said, well MUHAMMAD you're the great prophet
so i will divorce. Her so you can marry her.
That was one of his wives his daughter in. Law
another one of his wives he married her. When she
was six years old but, in case you think that's

(17:53):
bad he waited three. Years before he consummated the marriage
he didn't have Sex with her until She was and,
some of the islamic teachers. SAY well she was of
age i think everyone would agree nine.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Years old is not of age that.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Was the, character of this man, Muslims say he's a.
Great prophet he's a general giant, he is the greatest
of all There, are legends And Folklore, about Mohammed almost like.
Chuck norris and I'm not kidding they said that mohammad,
never cried because if he cried then the whole area

(18:32):
in which he cried would become.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
An area.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Where you could not grow anything it would. Become infertile
because of. HIS tears so he NEVER cried i heard that,
as I was, studying for, This And i thought.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
THEY say, chuck norris never cried I Mean it's. Almost
like a chuck.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Norris thing it's a wild Deal but he is considered, by, muslims, as,
the most. GRACIOUS merciful, generous wonderful awesome person i mean
come up With. Enough Superlatives to talk about mohammad wafi
sultan is A Woman. Who lives in, the united states

(19:10):
she's A psychiatrist but she lived in syria for thirty
years Of her life and she saw islam firsthand.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
And what it does to women and she came up
and she.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Was talking to a group And she said she is
against islam from the core, OF her being because she says.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
I know what it's. All about i've, Seen it firsthand
And she.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Said I'm here and I'm rejoicing, because I'M not in syria,
anymore but i, have a. NIECE and she said my
niece i weep from my niece Because my NIECE was
still in Syria When, i came. To the, united states
he said she said when, my niece was ten years
old she was married off to her.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Cousin who was in his forties she.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Said it was, deemed, Okay because sharia law, said well
Mohammad did, that too so, whatever mohammad did we can
do and so, it was deemed to be okay and
her niece would, come home and beg her father please
don't make. Me go back into, that, situation and, her
father said listen my child it is shameful for you

(20:11):
not to.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Go and be, with your husband. It is good it
is right you.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Will Be rewarded, for doing that wafa sultan said when my,
niece turned twenty five years old she couldn't stand it
any longer and she committed. Suicide by, lighting herself On
fire she Said that's what i've.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Experienced In. Syria under sharia law, In.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Islam she makes this statement islam is the Life. AND
teachings and practice of mohammed i Submit to, you today
that when jesus said and many false prophets, will arise
and will Mislead many that you can.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Put Mohammed's name in verse eleven so islam Was. Founded
around six.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Ten by Mohammed, strange that it's, so far after christianity yet.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
It says, and, their, Teachers will Tell you No.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
No no But see Adam followed Islam, adam and noah And,
moses And david They. All followed islam and, jesus followed
islam but it's been corrupted and That's.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Why it had to Come.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
To mohammed sounds a lot like mormonism because in the
early eighteen Hundreds There was an angel that visited Joseph
smith and, that, Angel's, name was moroni and said listen
joseph don't join any of the churches because they're all
corrupt and we Need. To Give You a, MESSAGE from
god and joseph smith says, i had an encounter, with

(21:37):
an angel no doubt you Did. But It was not
the angel moroni and mohammed Didn't. Have an encounter with
the angel gabriel they both. Have the encounter With. The
same angel His. Name is lucifer he's a fallen. Angel
he's Also known as The devil scripture says jesus said
in john ten, ten the thief comes only to. Steal

(22:00):
And to kill and to destroy, and muhammad did all
those things.
