Speaker 1 (00:02):
We want to honor God because he sees everything.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
You were born with a plan and a purpose. He's
the God of all things possible. He's the God of
all miracles.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Welcome to Grace Grace with Nina Michelle. I'm Michelle Humphries.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
And i am Nina Keagan. Welcome to the broadcast today.
Today be talking to all about your positive thoughts and
confessions and how ultimately we simply need to trust him.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Our thoughts are going to lie to us.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
We're gonna get all kinds of things that the enemy
loves to run amock and just tell us all kinds
of crazy things. But the Bible tells us that we
are to take every thought captive, and we're supposed to
immediately at the onset resist the devil. And that means
the minute those negative thoughts pop into your head, like
this is going to go wrong, and this is bad,

(01:33):
and that's bad and all these things.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
You go know that is a lie.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
You counteract that lie with what the Word of God says,
and you just take those thoughts captain and you say, no,
I'm going to trust the Word of God and what
he says about this.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
It's so important to know the word for yourself.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Well, yes, I almost everyone I know, if not everyone
I know, is going through some kind of trial.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
I know, I'm not kidding.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I mean, whether it's with their children, whether it's a
health crisis, whether it's financial, they are going through trouble.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
So the other day I was.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
In California and I was just driving down the road
and I was so upset by something that I had heard,
and you know, my mind was racing.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
I was not home.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
I could do nothing about it but pray. And I
began to think calamitous thoughts like, oh, my goodness, what
will happen if this happens, And then this could happen,
and then that could happen, and it can be like.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
A runaway thought train.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
And I just was driving down the road, and God,
in his goodness allowed some lady who wrote a book
on anxiety, and she was saying on the radio while
I was thinking those thoughts, that you have to replace
your calamitous thoughts with thoughts of good things, because that's

(03:07):
what God's word says. I mean, right as I'm thinking
what if what if this happened?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
What if that happened?

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Change your thoughts, change your situation, change whether you have
peace or joy. And so I thought, okay, okay, calm down,
think that God let that lady be on the radio
at the right time. And I began to replace my
thoughts and I thought, Nope, this is not what's going
to happen. Instead, I thought of the best thing I

(03:34):
could think of that could happen, and.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
That God turn it around.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
And you know, like right now, if you have children
that are running amuck and you you're not even talking
to some of them, you know, start thinking about your
Christmas card, you know, start thinking about you know what,
maybe by next year, God will have break broken through
and we're gonna have the best Christmas card. We're gonna

(03:59):
all take a picture together, and we're going to have
the best you know, time together. Just begin to replace
those thoughts with the better thought.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Right you ever think.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
About the chaos that happens during the holidays, and you
hear it all the time, and so many people get
so depressed, and you know, ask ourselves, why, well does
the devil love family gatherings and everybody they just get
along and have wonderful times together where you're actually praying
together and worshiping the Lord together and seeing your meal
prayer and being gathered and happy and joy us together. No,

(04:32):
so it seems like that's always a time when the
devil likes to. You know, we all think that we
need to live in some Hallmark movie or some Norman
Rockwell painting where everything's all perfect, and that isn't the reality.
And so we when we think that, we set ourselves
up with these false expectations to fail, and of course

(04:52):
the devil helping along with all of the negative thoughts.
And so we have to just understand and know that,
you know why, we have the authority over these thoughts.
We can control and take these thoughts captive, even if
we don't see anything change. The Bible says to say
things that aren't as though they are.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
So you start speaking.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
I thank you Lord that my kids are serving you
with their whole heart. So I thank you Lord that
you're gonna that everyone who's supposed to be here is
going to be here. And I thank you for unity
in my household. Pray over your home, annoint your doors,
like just just do all you know to do, and
just you understand that you're in control of these thoughts.
And you know what, there's an acronym here for the

(05:35):
word think, T, H, I, n K.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
You know. So when you think of things for the
T is it true? For the H? Is it helpful?

Speaker 4 (05:43):
For the I?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Is it inspiring? And for the end is it necessary?

Speaker 3 (05:48):
And kay? Is it kind? You know? So are the
things that you're thinking of?

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Are?

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Are they true?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Helpful, inspiring, necessary, kind? Or if they're not, cast them
away and reply than what thoughts that are? Because that's
what God says. Think on these things.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Whatever is good, whatever is true, whatever is pure.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
So you are in complete authority and control over what
the devil wants you to think on. And so we're
encouraging you today to just change, flip that switch like
a remote control at the onset and start replacing those thoughts.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Amen, you know everybody knows the scripture.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
You know that I know the plans I have for you,
plans for good and not for evil, plans to prosper
you and give you a hope and a future. So
if God says that about you and you're his, then
you can bank on it.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
That's his plan yep.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
So whatever else is showing up, faith is not what
you see.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
It is in what you don't see.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
You have to stand and believe even though it doesn't
look like anything is happening day in day out. Let
me just say, you know we faith comes by hearing
and hearing the word of God. So listen to your
favorite preachers, be in church when the doors are opened.
But also know that you're gonna have days where your
trial may linger.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
And those are the hard days.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
They are really hard, because you know, you wake up,
you hear your friends are getting their victories.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
You're not.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
You're having another day in your misery. Whether it's an illness,
whether it's a family problem, whether it's a divorce situation,
and you're praying.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
For restoration, whatever it is.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
You're sitting there in your day, and it's another day
and then another day.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
It's not in how long it takes. It is in knowing.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
That eventually, if you call those things that are not
as though they are, it shall be done. You cry
to the mountain and you say, mountain be removed and
passed into the sea, whether you feel it, whether you don't,
whether you're on year ten or eleven, or however long

(08:08):
it's been since you needed your breakthrough, and you're still standing.
Sarah waited until she was an old lady when having
a baby was a status symbol, and she was thought
of as cursed.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
They laughed, They laughed when it was time.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
But did she have a child, Yes, But day in
day out she believed that God would eventually do it
a well Abraham.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Did, Sarah laughed.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
And we are going to talk more about that when
we come right back. We're going to take our thoughts captive.

Now, welcome back.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
You're watching Grace Grace with Nina and Michelle, and we're
talking about taking your thoughts captive. And of course you
know that is going to require some diligence and some work.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
And I've jotted this down. I love this.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
The only place where six comes before work is the dictionary.
And you know, so many people just don't want to
put the work in and don't want to like spend
the time with the Lord. And I'm telling you there
is no greater reward, There's.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
No anything that is going to come.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I don't care if you have umpteing degrees and studies
and master's degrees and a list of degrees behind your
name and your wall in your office is full of them.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
It's never gonna matter.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
As much as you studying and knowing the Word of
God for yourself. That is how you're going to overcome everything.
That is how you're going to be able to take
your thoughts captive.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
That is how you're going to be able to.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Focus when all things seem like it's crazy and out
of control. That's how you're going to know the truth
and understand what God has for you. You know, recently,
I had told you about this, And I always know
when God speaks to me.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
When it's something.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
I don't say or I don't usually use this phrase
or something thing. You know, it is not familiar to me.
And I was just praying one day and just about
a lot of things that are kind of going on.
I know, there's so much warfare that's associated with ministry,
and so I was just praying and I heard these

(11:17):
words that live above the fray, that we need to
live above the fray. And so I know, I don't
say that, I've never said that, and so I started to,
you know, to look into fray and all that that means,
and it can mean like struggles and chaos and all
animosity and all the things that we can endure and

(11:38):
go through. We need to live above it. The Bible
talks about how we are to be high and lifted up.
We are high and lifted up in the heavenly realms,
seated with Jesus. Picture yourself there at the right hand
of the Father, and the.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Enemy is so down below.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
We have to remember who kicked who out of heaven
and he got hurled down. He doesn't get to come
up there in those heavenly realms with Jesus at the
right hand of the Father. So we get to be
so far above that he's a footstool under our feet.
We're gonna live up there above the fray, and we're
going to trust God, and we're going to take our

(12:17):
thoughts captive, and we're going to think on the things
that the Bible tells us to think about.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
High and lift it up. Isn't that such a great
place to picture yourself?

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (12:27):
And I think that when we how we take information
in like when when you get bad news, what do
you do?

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Uh? You know?

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Do you do?

Speaker 4 (12:37):
You freak out?

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Well?

Speaker 4 (12:38):
I usually do freak out at first, you know, I
I tearily.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Just to be honest, I freak out and then I'm like, okay, okay,
get a grip.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
What does what does God's words say?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
What do I need to think now, and uh, you know,
when we respond and we begin to speak, which our
words are so powerful, we affect the generations, like how
you respond.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
To bad news affects.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Your children and your children's children. Because I think about like,
I come from this very joyful Italian family, and they
have had as many trials and tribulations as any other
family on the planet. But they choose joy and they

(13:31):
choose laughter, and they choose to speak positive things and
to begin to call out things that are not as
though they are. You know, we we have a I
have a cousin who you know, we grew up. We
were always very very close with all of our cousins.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
But he's the oldest one.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
And he hit his head playing basketball after he was
married and had children, and just basketball game at church
one night, hit his head just the right way and
he was paralyzed, and I mean he almost died.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
It just severed something.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
And I remember my family they flew him at the
time he lived in Virginia, they flew him to Houston,
and I just remember my whole family coming to Houston
where I live, and they were around him just speaking
life and saying, you know, you're going to walk again.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
We believe it.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
And you know what, he's not walking yet, and it's
been many, many years. But I don't know that there's
a person in our family that would look at him
and say, you're not going to walk again, because in
our hearts, he's walking, and.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
We believe it.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
No matter how long it's taking, we're going to believe
that he is going to walk again. And I think
that that it doesn't matter day in day out that
you know, and he's found joy and and he's you know,
as normal as any man can be.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
He's awesome.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I've never one time, not one time, heard him complain
that is generational. He learned that from his parents, and
and he's teaching his daughters and his grandchildren that And
and you know what, I don't. I just think that's
a better way to live, to make sure that you
take your thoughts captive and you model that for your

(15:30):
family members.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
Yes, so true.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
You know so many times some you know, the the
hard knocks, the trials in life really teach us to
appreciate things and appreciate the good times and the good
things that happen in our lives. And you know, you
and I were talking, We talk about when something bad
or something is really going on with us or a

(15:53):
family member. You know, we'll call each other and you
can be all panicked or I can be all panicked.
And the s why it's so good to have an
accountability partner because I can say to her, but let's
remember what God said. He said this, and he said that,
and this hasn't happened yet, and this prophecy and that,
and she will say the same to me. And that's

(16:15):
why we know, okay, this is going to be okay,
because God is faithful.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
He's never not been faithful.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
And so you know, get a good friend of yours
that you know knows the word like you do, that
has your back, that when two are more gather, that
you can speak to these mountains and they shall become
level plains. And Mark eleven twenty four says that you
shall have what you ask when you pray, and believe

(16:43):
if you believe in what you're praying, and if if
you're not, if you don't believe in what you pray,
then why are you even praying? And our prayers should
not be our beliefs shouldn't be in the prayers.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
But the one who answers.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Them, and we need to know who we're talking to.
When we pray, we're talking to the God who created
the entire universe, who spoke it, and all we need
is one word from him. He can speak and everything
can change. And so when we stop, stop and take
your thoughts captive and just think about that and get

(17:19):
into an agreement with someone who's going to believe like
you and pray, we will see these mountains become level plains.
And so we're going to talk more about that when
we come right back. We just want to encourage you.
You're watching Grace Grace with Nina Michelle. We'll see in
a minute.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
Welcome back to Grace Grace.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
With Nina Michelle, we are talking about taking every thought captive,
and I love the scripture that's in Second Corinthians that
says take every thought captive, and it talks about we
demolish arguments in every pretension that sets itself up against
the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought

(19:00):
to make it obedient to Christ. I mean, think about that,
your obedience is taken captive first and foremost in your mind.
And I love Joyce Myers's book The Battlefield of the Mind.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
If you have not read it, read.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
It, you stinking thinking, get rid of.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Its get rid of your stinking thinking.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
It is it is absolutely so important, and your thoughts
are so very important. And if you can't think one
good thought, then you need to shift it with worship.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
I think you know.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
The Bible says, whatever is good, whatever is pure, whatever
is holy, think upon these thoughts, and the peace of
God that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind.
And you have to think about that. The devil comes
against you in your mind. And it says, tear down
every stronghold with the name of Jesus, that his name,

(19:58):
his name is high, and lift it up above all
principalities and rulers and wickedness and high places. So if
you can't think of anything else but the name of Jesus,
you know, sometimes sometimes you're just running low. You're not
feeling super spiritual. You know, sometimes I just have to

(20:19):
say Jesus because I and I've got nothing. I can't
think of one thing that could solve this. I cannot
think of it.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
And so one thing.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
If you have never prayed in the Holy Spirit, if
you have never been baptized in the Holy Spirit, the
Bible says, pray in the spirit.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
And with your mind. So I would encourage you today.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
I pray right now that if you've never been baptized
in the Holy Spirit, that you will be baptized in
the Holy Spirit right now. Just hold your hands up
and say, see, baptize me in the power of the
Holy Spirit.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
The Bible says you shall receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes upon you.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
And the Bible says that out of your belly shall
flow rivers of living water, and you will begin to
speak in an unknown tongue.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Does that mean that you're not thinking about other things?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
No, you just offer up your tongue and you begin
to pray in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of
speaking in other tongues.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
And if you've never.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Done it, it's not rocket science. Just get in there
and begin to pray. The Lord will begin to give
you an unknown language, and you will be praying exactly
the Bible says. You don't know what you're supposed to pray,
but the Holy Spirit will pray through you. And I
think that's so much better than us trying to battle
all these things. We don't have to battle. The Lord

(21:46):
will fight for us. He will battle for us. We
can come into agreement with what Jesus wants us to pray.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
He is the mediator.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
He is constantly interceding for all of us. And so
I just say, God, I come into agreement with whatever
Jesus is praying and interceding for this situation.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
And pray in the spirit.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Pray in your mind, and know that God is answering
whether you're feeling it or not, whether it's taking a
long time or not.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
His answers are yes and amen. And you know, I
love old school.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I love Smith Wigglesworth and John Glake and Kennethy Hagen,
and there's so much wisdom, and you see just how.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
They approached the Lord.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
And I love this Smith Wigglesworth's quote, there is no
such thing as an end to God's beginnings, but we
must be in it and know it.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
It is not a.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Touch or a breath, but it is God Almighty, the
Holy Spirit, dwelling in the temple that's not made with
human hands.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
He touches us, and it is done. It is the
same God to all those who call upon him.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Think about that He made us, he built to us,
He knit us together in our mother's wombs. He has
such a plan and a purpose for our lives, and
he gives us a blueprint. He tells us how to
think and what to think on, and he understands everything.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
That you're going through.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
And so we have to know how to recognize and
get into an agreement with his word, and never ever
give the devil a foothold.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
And I also love this quote.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
It says, the one who follows the crowd usually gets
no further than the crowd. And so change your thoughts,
don't listen to the crowd, don't follow what everyone else
is doing.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
That is Albert Einstein, by the.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Way, it's just you. You need to know the word
for yourself. Don't follow the crowd, don't know what everyone
else is doing. Understand and know what God wants to
do and you, through you, and for you think on
those things.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
Know the word for yourself.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Honestly, if there's ever a message in any one of
our shows, it's that the days are evil and we
need to know the word of God for ourselves.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
That is so, so so important.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
And remember that God's word trumps your thoughts, trumps of
your feelings, trumps what you're looking at right now. God's
word can change anything. And so let's pray right now. Lord,
we just pray Father for anyone I just feel just
this burden for those who are saying, you know, my
mental health is not doing well right now, I'm depressed,

(24:29):
I'm anxious. Lord, I pray Father that all of those
thoughts will be first of all, that the depression and
anxiety and anything confusion in the mind will be lifted
off of every person, and Father, that every thought of
sorrow and demise and grief will be replaced Father with

(24:52):
thoughts of good and thoughts of what God is going
to do, and thoughts of breakthrough, Father, thoughts of healing,
thoughts of deliverance. God, we ask you for miracles in
the mind right now, Father, deliver people's minds from evil.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Father.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
And we pray Father first and foremost that if there's
someone who's not say that they will give you their heart,
just say I give you my heart right now in Jesus' name.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Amen.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Amen.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
And you have to know what belongs to you as
a believer. So again I encourage you in the Word,
to be in the Word. And so we are so
excited that you are here with us, joining us on

Speaker 5 (26:23):
Does science disprove God?

Speaker 6 (26:25):
Is there a war between science and faith?

Speaker 1 (26:28):
We don't need God to create a universe.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
There's no evidence for God and it's irrational.

Speaker 6 (26:32):
Is there no evidence for God? Am I delusional for
my beliefs? That is delusional and stupid?

Speaker 5 (26:38):
Am I brainwashed?

Speaker 6 (26:39):
Do I ignore reason, logic, critical thinking?

Speaker 5 (26:42):
Science?

Speaker 6 (26:57):
Our dof uses.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Logic, and RDIOF has empowered my sons to defend their
faith with the facts. If you want to be equipped
to defend against the biggest objections the existence of God,
our dof is the place for you.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
Has science really ruled out God? Is faith at war
with science?

Speaker 5 (27:19):
If you want to be equipped to respond to these
claims and more, check out rdiof dot org.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
The evidence he presents is so powerful and overwhelming.

Speaker 5 (27:36):
Incredibly compelling, yet easily understand that we believe in rationality,
we believe in reason, we believe in science, and we
believe in the existence of God.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
I would leave every event with a mind boggling on assurance.

Speaker 6 (27:52):
I never believed in God. Who think it was craziness?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
RDIOF confirmed my faith.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
RDOF confirmed my full beliefful faith, Lord Man.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
The appearance of design in the universe is undeniable.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
The lights, the crowd, the videos.
