(00:28):
standing over in the studio, Annabel came in and join me.
We're gonna have an interesting conversation. But you know, this
month I wrote an article which will go well with
this Bible study. It's on the mind of Christ, the
supernatural mind of Christ, and how God wants to be
able to take over the traffic between your ears and
give you the thoughts of heaven. You can go to

It'll change your life because it'll change the way you
act in the supernatural. Now, let's get into today's wild
Bible study. Welcome to the Lancewall Now Show. Today we
have a very special guest one. It tends to throw
me off a little bit, but by popular demand, she's

(01:34):
back my wife of near forty years, Annabelle.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
How are you I.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Throw you off? What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Well, I mean you know, see right there, see right there,
you threw off my introduction. That's unpredictable. When you're on
the show. We never know what she's gonna come up with.
She asked me questions. And last time we got into
a marriage therapy session around Christmas time when you were
talking about I don't know what I said, I sold
for Christmas and he says something like, I like to
have some more time with my husband.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Not opened up pant No.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
You said, you said what would you change about me?

Speaker 4 (02:08):
And I said you are a schedule and you were like,
how could you say that?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
So quickly?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
You said?

Speaker 4 (02:13):
My hair practically went straight back in my face could
have slowed motion to go.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, now I'm wrestling with this thing. So what I
want to talk to you about. We're gonna have a
Bible study today because you know, Adam Bell and I
we originally scheduled this is a Bible study. And this
is going to be a very unusual Bible study because
it's unscripted.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
That time you sounded like harshot unusual.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
An unusual Bible study. My friend from Sri Lanka, who
wishes to be man anonymous, no no accent, a perfectly
neutral accent. He told me that he and his wife
said that they grew up in in uh Srilanka and
we were told you that that the reason why they
like working with true long this is because about perfectly

(03:03):
neutral accent. And she said, yeah, that's what they told us,
and I laughed so hard that they were told they
had a perfectly neutral accent, which meant that all English,
they sounded like they were the most anyway in our
perfectly neutral accent. We're going to go into today's Bible study.
I'd like to go to something in Galatians. That's what

(03:26):
I chose to what a coincidence. Now listen, I was
in Geraldurstein's Christian retreat. There's a Christian retreat in Bradenton, Florida,
and I was. I was teaching down there last week.
And this is where, you know, we had an unusual honeymoon.
We went down there for our honeymoon.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Part of it, can I remember part of it?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
My mother protested that I was going to go in
these unusual Christian places. James Kennedy went to James Kennedy,
d James Kennedy Craviridge Presbyterian Church, went and saw Derek Prince,
my great deliverance mentor, and Gerald Durstein Christian Retreat. Anyway,
these are the charismatic heroes of my day.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Well to caliber balance us, what did she do? She
sent us to and Disney World, so we had.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
To counterbalance us. Yes, and Kennedy and James Kennedy wasn't charismatic,
which which shows the eclectic nature of my attraction to
all of the diversity of the Bible and the and
the the you know, preachers and so listen. I was
at Gerald durst One Christopher treat and I was reminded
of the great teaching that I got from Brother Durstein,

(04:30):
and I don't want to lose it because I mean,
I need to practice it because these people that if
they're really an annoyed to gift ministry, they deposit something
in you because it's not them, it's the spirit of
Christ in them. That is teaching really great preaching, and
great teaching should be transformational because it puts something in

(04:53):
you from them and it kind of kind of shapes you.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Right.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
So did you ever hear Gerald Durstein by the way.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Yeah, I met him, he and Beulah when we were
down there. His wife like what sixty something years?

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Right, that's right, they married for like sixty seven years.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Remarkable. So anyway, anyway, but.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
My purpose in telling you this is the impact that
he had was in the teaching, and the teaching was
on I think he taught something I never heard before.
It was on the fruit of the spirit. So go
to Galatians chapter five, and I want to discuss with
you and see if you can remember this message.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Annabelle.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
I almost hesitated on teaching on this because it's such
a challenge, but I want to go there Galatians chapter five. Now,
the apostle Paul is speaking here about spirit life. Look
at verse sixteen so powerful. I say, then I'm reading
from the New King James. I think, walk in the spirit,

(05:54):
and you shall not fulfill the luss of the flesh.
Interesting statement, Now, you always are going to have the
lust of the flesh if you're not walking in the spirit.
This is like the law of gravity. If you're not
you know, if you're not flying, then you're you're falling.
So walking in the spirit is something we should really

(06:14):
learn how to do, because walking in the spirit's capital s.
So the translators are thinking, this is walking in the
Holy Spirit. How do you walk in the Holy Spirit?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Beautiful?

Speaker 1 (06:26):
And if you do that, you won't fulfill the lust
of the flesh, the appetites, the inclinations, the the you know,
the desires of the fallen nature. And what are those desires? Well,
he says right here, the flesh lusts against the things

(06:46):
of the spirit. It has its own competing desire, and
the spirit, curious enough, has its own competing desire against
the flesh. These are contrary to when others, so that
you do not do the things you wish. So Paul's
acknowledging that you have a nature in you that wants

(07:06):
to do the wrong thing. It's the fallen nature. And
the only way that you can do that is to
be led by the spirit. So Paul says, if you're
led by the spirit, you're not under the law. There's
so much depthiness because what Paul's saying is, you know,
what you're really wrestling with is the law. And so

(07:28):
I mean, I won't go there now. Now, the works
of the flesh, you're evident when they're manifest adultery, fornication,
on cleanness, lewdness, and so those are all like the
more obvious sins of the senses. Sexual immorality would be
the category. But then look at idolatry and sorcery. Sorcery
is listed there. Sorcery's curious because that's that's witchcraft as

(07:53):
a work of the flesh. It's a different source, it's
a different sorcery. It's it's kind of like sorcery with
witchcraft is when you're doing spells and incantations and working
with demons basically in order to orchestrate demons into someone's
life to do something. But if sorcery is a work
of the flesh, it's that form of manipulation and control

(08:18):
and psychological manipulation, which is done by the soul, not
done by demon spirits, but done by the lower nature flesh,
because all of these are works of the flesh, not
works of demons. So there is a sorcery that is
done in the flesh, and it's a form of intimidation
and manipulation and control. It's a form of witchcraft, which

(08:41):
is a work of the flesh. Interesting, witchcraft is a
work of the flesh, which is the in order to
desire to control and dominate, manipulate other people apart from
their awareness, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,
is drunkenness, revelries and the like. You just and the like,

(09:02):
basically just making it. No, this isn't a definitive list.
Is just Paul saying, you've all seen this behavior. This
is the flesh of which I tell you beforehand, just
as I told you in time passed, those who practice
these things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Now
that's a scary statement because what he's saying is if

(09:23):
this is dominant in your life, any of these, then
is he's saying you're not going to inherit the Kingdom.
You're not going to go to heaven.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I mean, that's it sounds like what he's saying.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
If these things are, these works are your everyday, constant experience,
then you're not going to inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Now someone could argue with me on that, but I mean,
it's a you're not going to inherit the Kingdom of God.
You're not going to inherit. This is something you receive
after your you know, a death. You're not going to inherit.

(09:57):
You're not going to be going. It's a scary thought.
But the fruit of the spirit, the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering. Now Paul gets
into the works of the flesh contrasted with the fruit
of the spirit. So is he's making He's using a

(10:19):
distinction here. He's saying, works are of the flesh Verse nineteen.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
But now, fruit of the spirit.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Why would he contrast a work with a fruit, because
the work is the outgrowth of the fallen nature. But
a fruit is something that grows on a vine. It
grows on something. And he's saying, you actually are grafted
into or connected to the Holy Spirit. Therefore, this is

(10:49):
fruit that comes from the Holy Spirit. It's not coming
from your fallen nature. So if you have Christ, a
catch it. This is kind of complex, but it's beautiful.
You don't have to live in the flesh. You can
live in the spirit. You don't have to walk in
the flesh. You can walk in the spirit. You don't
have to be doing the desires. Even though there's an
inclination in you which is human. You can go in

(11:10):
the other direction. And the fruit is attached to something,
and the fruit of the spirit he lifts, and he
lifts nine specific types of fruit that grow on a
Christian life attached.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
To the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
So we're going to take a break right now and
we come right back. I'm going to delve into the
supernatural fruit that you're allowed to demonstrate, in fact, you're
called to walk in as a result of your attachment
to the vine, which is Christ.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Your brain will form a neurological loop based upon what
you're saying to yourself. How come I'm so stupid? How
come so stupid? Why do these things always happen to me?
Why do the things that would happen nobody could be trusted,
nobody could be you see, whatever you agree with, you empower.
That's why you want to be aware and beware of
what you agree with. If God wants to be able

(12:09):
to take over the traffic between your ears and give
you the thoughts of heaven, you can go to lancewallnout

snap your fingers that fast, God can put a thought
in you that will change your life that fast.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Every day God can redirect the thought.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Go to Lancewallow dot com forward slash heartbeat for your
gift of.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Any amount, you can get a hold of this teaching.
I'm making it simple and available.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Call eight hundred and nine one zero six three four
nine and you can do it right on demand, right now.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Get a hold of this message.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
It'll change your life because it'll change the way you
act in the supernatural.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
In some mercedes, you were saying to me on the break.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
During the break, of course, she's always trying to make
sure that people aren't needlessly distressed.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
I said, those that do such shall.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Not inherit the kingdom and eating it. I used to teach, well,
you're going to go to heaven. It's just you don't
inherit the kingdom down here, which is righteous's peace and
joy in the Holy Ghost. But I'm saying, well, I
could stretch it to say that, but I could read
it the way it's written and say, hey, if you
and you clarified, in what sense would someone not enter
the kingdom with these characteristics? I thought, you're saved by faith?

Speaker 5 (13:22):
Yeah, well, well I was reading where you were because
you know, you think hatred.

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Okay, well man, sometimes somebody cuts me off in traffic,
I get angry at them, you know, jealousy, outbursts of wrath,
selfish ambitions. I mean that that is sid nature, one
oh one, that's all inside of us. And so but
when he gets down into Galatians five twenty one and
it says those who practice such things will not inherit

(13:46):
the Kingdom of God, and I thought, huh, I wonder
what that word practice actually means in the Greek. And
so then I went and looked it up on Blue
Letter Bible, and it's the word prasos. Prasos. Yeah, it's
hard to say prass so okay, but that means to
perform repeatedly or habitually, which is a distinct difference from

(14:06):
a different word that would be used as a single act.
So this is implying that this is something that's habitually
done over and over and over again. It's like your
way of life is that you're living this lifestyle, not
the occasional I got angry and NI just I felt conviction.
I repented, But it's almost like this lifestyle of I
don't even feel conviction over it anymore.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
I love that. Okay.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
So it's a habitual life, so you can habitually practice
the fruit.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Now practice.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
It's an interesting word because it implies you're working with it,
you're practicing it, you're you're developing it. The fruit of
the spirit is love, joy, and peace. Let's start right there. So, Annabelle,
you got your Bible there, Go to Colossians. Go to
Colossians chapter one, verse twenty seven, and you'll see something

(15:08):
kind of interesting here. It says in Colossians chapter one,
verse twenty seven that there's a mystery that was hidden
from the beginning of time, but it has now been
revealed to us. And I think it's the mystery that
has to do with Christ and the spirit filled life

(15:32):
that was reserved for the New Covenant.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
You got it there, No only pages are stuck together
new Bible here it is Colossians.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
What they couldn't he get it to open?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Our Bible pages are stuck together. People.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
It's just bought me this Bible, and I'd really only
use it a few times so far because it's.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
It's the Brian Bible, by the way.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Has a spirit of stuney.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
It's a Brian Bible. I'm just like, what do you
want me to read?

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Washington's one. I have to seeing the fruit of patients
of my Bible study.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
I would be a fruit inspector. Are do not have
any patience?

Speaker 2 (16:10):
No patience?

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Okay, back to you, chet to them.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
God has chosen to make known among the gentiles the
glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you,
the hope of glory.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
So Christ in you is the mystery.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
The reason I'm saying that is because where does the
fruit of the spirit come from. It comes from Christ
in you. A christ Jian is someone who has Christ
in them. So when you say Lord Jesus, you know
forgive my sins or whatever He comes in to you
by the Holy Spirit, Christ comes into you. Remember the Trinity,

(16:48):
it's all three is one. So when the Holy Spirit
comes in Christ comes into your heart. And technically this
is where it becomes very interesting. Christ does not come
into your body, though he's inside you. Christ isn't coming
into your soul. Although your soul begins to get saved.

(17:09):
Christ comes into your spirit, which means your spirit is
transform made new.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
The Greek word there.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Says that your spirit is transfigured into a new entity.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
So the deepest part of you.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Christ and You dwell together as a new creature. If
any man be in Christ, he's a new creature. So
you could say the fruit of the spirit comes out
of your spirit as it works its way through the
layers of your soul and your body, and it's manifested

(17:46):
the world around you. Okay, And so this is a
beautiful mystery of working out your own salvation with fear
and trembling, working out from your spirit Man, through your
your emotions, your will, your personal history, your personality, and
then your body, how you feel that day, what's going on.

(18:10):
And then it goes on to say him we preach
in verse twenty eight, warning every man and teaching every
man in all wisdom that he may present We may
present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end,
I labor and strive according to His working, which works
in me mightily. That word for working is the word

(18:31):
get this one e N.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
E R G eia. It's where you get the word energy.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Yes, what mind says with all his energy working power.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Oh, so your translations says with all his energy. The
English word energy comes from this word energy, oh, usually
describing the working of God, but also can be used
of Satan with empowering the Antichrist. It's say so the
Antichrist isn't working with anything other than what you're working with.
Is just spiritual power energizing. But here it's the spirit

(19:03):
of God's working in you, mightily, working in you. What
working from your spirit man out through your mind, through
your words, through your thinking. This is why that great
verse in the Bible says in Romans, be not conformed
to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind, letting that soul which is where your emotions

(19:25):
and your will, and your memory and your imagination and
your logic, having that altered by the word of God
and your regenerated spirit working it out. You go over
here to verse twenty two of chapter five of Galatians.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace.
Make a note of this.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Somebody pointed this out to me once, that the first
three concern our relationship with God. That God gives you
love and jo and peace. That this is a fruit
that comes right from Heaven. Peace I leave with you,
Jesus said, not as the world gives, and these things
I say to you that my joy may be. So

(20:09):
you've got the peace of God, the joy of God,
the love of God. Romans five to five shed abroad
in your heart.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Well, two of them are part of the kingdom, is righteousness, peace,
and joy. So two of those fruit are part two
thirds of the kingdom.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
The thirds of the kingdom, according to the Word of God,
is right there in the first three. So the first
three are from Heaven to you.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
They're for you.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
But now I think long suffering, kindness, and goodness are
really they.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Deal with other people. Let's just do a little Bible
study here.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Human The second three are the virtues that we extend
to others. Long suffering and kindness and goodness. Those are relational.
Now I could use a little more fruit of the
spirit manifest in the area of long suffering, kindness, and goodness.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
And then I believe.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
The final three third group describes what it is that
we minister back to the Lord in terms of self control,
in terms of faithfulness, let's see it says, yeah, faithfulness, gentleness,
and self control. I think those three are like God word.

(21:30):
The third group describes principles a guide to Christian's conduct
generally so, but those they break down into God to you,
you to others, and then these are enable you to
walk in Christian conduct that honors God, which is that
self control and faithfulness to God and gentleness.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
Don't you think though.

Speaker 6 (21:55):
They could all be for God and all be for
other people.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Certainly could be. Just wondering, they certainly could be. I mean,
I just.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
Gentleness like you are with little lex or I am
with liberty, gentleness, gentleness with.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Your Yeah, you know, you're right. The generalists kind of
like is throwing me off.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
There, except the actual word.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
There is in gentleness. The actual Greek word is meekness.
Let me look, which means the yielding of the will,
Which is why I'm wondering if the meekness and self
control of thing. I just remember these that I get
that I remember these three were talked to me by divinity.
Professor I never, but I can't remember the third category.
The first one was from God to you. The second
one is from you to others, things that God ministers

(22:37):
to you, things that your minister to others. And then
I thought the third one has to do with you
walking the Christian walk.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
But it was like Bill Gothard to me, we should
go find your Bill gotherrt books, No.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Find my Bill Gothard, nopebucking and get that out, because.

Speaker 6 (22:51):
I would think love and joy also are for other people,
you know, like not just for the Lord. I would think,
like I love you know, and the question is what
type of love?

Speaker 1 (22:59):
But I agree, I do agree with you. I think
I think that we minister. So now I don't about
any thoughts on this before I go.

Speaker 5 (23:05):
To the going to the board.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Right now, I'm going to go.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
I thought that as long as I want, I could
do two more minutes if I.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
Want, I want to just say longer, if I wanted
my own show.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
All I want to say is the fruit inspections, not
just for other peoples, for ourselves. So if we don't
inspect ourselves or think about it, we may never even
notice if we're not having any of these or some
of these, So I actually think it's an amazing art
form to be your own fruit inspector and think about
it because sometimes we just let ourselves be very sloppy

(23:35):
agape or very just sloppy in general. And when you
pull pull up and look at some of this stuff,
it actually might be a little bit of a of
a rebuke from the Lord. But you can hear it
just because you're open to it.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Well, how can you tell?

Speaker 3 (23:49):
How can you tell?

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Because you know yourself really well if you're in the
word of God. The more you're in the Word of God,
you can kind of like a mirror.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Right. So all I'm saying about it is, wouldn't it
be a.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Big, a big difference for many people to think about
these words? Like you might think, oh, I really am
fruitful in all of these ways, but you might think, oh,
I think I'm going to work on this one fruit
right now. You know, I'm going to add a little
bit of time in this and try to you know,
self control. I think that's my worst fruit of all
of them, because I get myself permission to do whatever

(24:21):
I want. Sometimes I'm like.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Oh that.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Well, I mean, well, self control sometimes is like why
fasting is so challenging. I can remember why I didn't
want to wear the blue shirt in front of her
before because I got lost in the back drop.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
You do look like a fluke.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
I should probably draw an outline of my shirt and yellow.

Speaker 6 (24:42):
All right, So hey, can I just say that was
a really good word that Animel just shared.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
I think that's a really good word.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
What was she saying? Well?

Speaker 5 (24:49):
What I when I heard? She said a lot?

Speaker 6 (24:51):
But my takeaway was essentially, you know, you kind of
read this and you like, maybe you apply it to
your spouse, maybe apply it to cool workers, you know,
but but you should be applying it to you that
you should be your own fruit inspector, and saying, well,
hold on a second, what am I exhibiting here?

Speaker 5 (25:06):
Am I exhibiting the flesh? Am I exhibiting the fruit
of the spirit?

Speaker 6 (25:10):
And maybe my bananas look good, but my coconuts some
need some maturing, you know, I don't know, But I'm
just saying that we should be inspecting our own fruit.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Well, I got your bananas and coconuts, people, That's all
I can say.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
