(00:23):
ways to connect from Hawaii to wherever you are listening from.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I hope you enjoy this message right here on prey
dot com Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I want you to turn your Bibles to Acts chapter two,
verse one, and we are turning there and I'm going
to get to that place eventually. So when we did
the series, I want you to go look at my series.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I've never.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
I never know I have I've done it before. I've
never done this series before, which is basically on our
roots in America as revisionist history is trying to revise
things that are happening in the world, especially when it
comes to Christianity.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
With Christianity, we.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Got to make sure that we uphold our history and
we know where we came from, because in order for
us to find our way back, we have to know
where did we are, where did we start, what was
our origin, and when we begin to realize those things, we.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Can find our way back.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
So when I just got an article the other day
on how the PLO is taking the areas that under
their occupation in Jerusalem and actually taking off all the
historical references to King David, anything dating back to Christianity,
all of those things that are under their control, they're
removing it. And just like in American history and even

(01:30):
biblical history in Hawaii, things get revised after a while
that people begin to write it from their point of view.
So I wanted to do that series called The Way
Back so we could understand where we came from. So
go to my YouTube or go to our channel and
go watch those four sermons because they were the most steady,
intense messages that I've ever done. Because it's something that
I needed to be caught up on. So I want

(01:51):
you to go have a look at that. This is
a very interesting week. I don't know about you, but
I love it when a prophet can speak into my life.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
God has used different prophets.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Throughout my lifetime in order to speak into mind and
Lisa's life and the life of the church that is
actually upheld as pillars. What we were trying to build.
When you look at the framers of what God was
doing in this country, and it was a fragile republic
from the sixteen hundreds and really the seventeen hundred since
we became an independent nation, so to speak, through the
Declaration of Independence. If you look at God all the

(02:22):
way then until now, God would sovereignly pour out his spirit,
and he would use moments that would pillar or that
would uphold our nation that was always fragile and was
always in danger of falling and collapsing. God would pour
out his spirit. I believe now more than ever that
God needs to I am asking God, you don't need
to do nothing, but that he would pour out his

(02:43):
spirit upon this islands, these islands, and this state, and
this nation and in the world, so He would be
able to uphold this one more time, if not several
more times. As we are accelerating towards the end of
what God is doing in the Book of Revelation. Now
I'm not saying we are in the Book of revel
right now, but I believe that there will be a harvest,

(03:03):
a harvest so plentiful, so great, spoken out by people
who have actually believed it like John Beavie, the prophet
Jim Laffoon that I just came from seeing yesterday. And
if I look at all the prophets in my life
that have prophetically spoken to me and Lisa, I think
of Jean Darnell. Jean Darnell served under Sister Amy McPherson
and this old lady with a creekey voice would speak

(03:25):
over me and Lisa, and I used to be so
scared when they were touching me. You know, I'm scared
you're gonna know my sins that I don't want you
to know them. But then I wasn't worried she was.
She never said anything about those. She actually brought up
what God was gonna do with me that God is
fulfilling to this day. If I look at David McCracken,
God brought a prophet named David McCracken all the way
from Australia, and how he's spoke into our lives and

(03:48):
still does to this day. But I've gotta say that
the one that has really been lately has been more
contemporary in my life.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
It is the prophet Jim Laffoon.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yesterday, Lisa and I got invited to go to with
a most of our staff were able to attend and
go and hear him.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
He did a great teaching, but after the teaching he.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Actually sat down and prophesied over me and Lisa personally
in regards to our church. But in the teaching that
he was sharing this past week, what was powerful, what
took place yesterday, was he reminded me that in twenty
and fourteen, when he was at doctor Morocco's church all
the way on the east side in Ainahina, he gave
a prophetic word in twenty and fourteen that actually played

(04:26):
out today. I was reminded of it because I listened
to it about two years ago when Doctor Morocco's son, Josh,
who was a pastor of King's Cathedral, sent me the video.
It blew my mind because Jim Lafoon actually prophesied what
was coming out of Asia and would hit Hawaii and
the rest of the world, but also the effects on

(04:47):
our local economy. And he actually prophesied in twenty fourteen
that the hotels in Waikiki.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Would all be shut down.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Now, who would ever say that in twenty seventeen if
you said all the hotels in Waikiki would be down
in twenty eighteen. If you said that it would be
a ghost town in twenty twenty, none of us would
have believed it was said there is no way. But
when Jim talked about that, it actually blew our minds.
We could not believe it. So when yesterday and now
while I while I was with him, and yesterday before

(05:18):
I came up to speak in this service at Saturday
at five pm, God reminded me of two dreams in
one sleep. Now I'm gonna give you what I believe
is a prophetic dream. I don't do that often. I
don't share my prophetic dreams dreams with everyone. You're careful
who you share those with. I've shared that with Lisa,
said it to my friends, kept it to myself. Most
of my staff doesn't even know this because they haven't

(05:38):
had an opportunity to share it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
But here it is.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
In May twenty eighteen, right before our men's conference, we
had Jeneddiah Thurner and doctor Paul Lewis Cole, the son
of doctor late doctor Ed Cole in Maximized Manhood.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
A great author.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Paul was coming to speak at our camp that day,
actually our conference right here that weekend, we had two
hundred men in this place. It was filled to capacity.
We had men in overflow. It was phenomenal. But while
I was sleeping, I took a nap at one o'clock
in the afternoon, saying that I'm going to need my
energy for that night.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
So I took a nap. So it was good.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
I had AC on, the AC was running, and I
was fell asleep. But in that sleep I woke up
in about an hour later and my sheets were wet
and so was my shirt. Now I don't normally sweat
in my sleep, excuse me, but it was wet and
it was AC and I was wondering what was going on.
But then my mind while I was sleeping in one hour,
I got two dreams, and here they are. The first

(06:33):
dream was it took me back to the Big Island
in Hilo Bay. If you were here last weekend, Honolulu
and Mileilani when I talked about the Great Revival, how
Hilo was the epicenter of what God was doing on
planet Earth, where more than fifteen thousand people went to
a church called Highly Congregational Church led by the Great
Titus Cohen, who my ancestor David Lyman, actually helped start

(06:54):
that church in eighteen twenty something. So now Hilo, Inhilo,
I'm sitting on Hilo Bay, which is.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Known to have multiple tidal waves in Hilo, that whole Hilo.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
And Hamakua coast multiple over the years, from the nineteen
forties to the nineteen sixties.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
My dad saw it.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
He was part of it in the nineteen thirties in
La poy Hoi Hoi in White Peo Valley known for
tidal waves. If there's a title, if there's an earthquake
in Chile or Peru, there's likely to be a tidal
wave coming to that side of the island. I remember
sitting in my dream. I was watching on the black
Sand beach and I would look out into the ocean
at Hilo Bay, but I could not see the hotels
or the buildings because the waves are so large. The

(07:32):
waves look like those Japanese artists waves, you know what
I'm talking about, You know, those big ones like peaky,
like they're like peaky, not just wide, but peaky. And
I the thing about that wave was not only did
I see the wave and I was watching the wave,
but I was actually watching myself at the top of
one of those waves, not riding it but crying for
dear Jesus.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
I'm watching this and that's all I remember.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
And I remember being being worried, being very concerned, and
being very fearful for me on the on the wave
and me on the shore. I don't know why there
was two means, but anyway, moving right along.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
In that same dream, I'm now in Konah.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Now, if you know anything about Conna about my teaching
last week, Conner Alulu, I talked about Kona. Kailuacona was
the plymouth Rock for the for the missionaries that came
to Hawaii because they literally were able to get off
the Fattius in Kona and not at Kawai high where
they stayed for four days on their ship while the
king King le Holiho and his mother Prince and kaahuman
who came on board rather than letting them off shore,

(08:29):
they did not let them on shore until they traveled
forty miles up or south actually to Kona, and in
Kailuacona where they have the triathlons, right on that beach,
that plymouth rock, that's where they got off. I was
up in Hualulai and the mountains in the dream and
In the dream, I was looking out.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
This sounds kind of crazy, right right right, Okay, never mind.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
So I'm looking down into the dream and on the dream,
I'm seeing the whole bay of Kailo Kona with all
the tourists and all the hotels. And then I saw
these waves coming, wave after wave after wave, and these
waves came and crashed over the people onto the little
road on the frontage road and rolled off and the
people were safe. I woke up, sweaty shirt.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
What did that mean? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
I got to preach that night as I was putting
this message together, and in the afternoon with Jim Lapoon
prophesying over me, I'm being in an atmosphere of the prophetic, okay, okay.
And then I realized that the two dreams mean two things,
and they're not solid it because we only see in part.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
We only prophesy in part.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
First dream is the pandemic and the devastation in its wake,
all of the things that we're going through is a nation.
It's not just the pandemic. It was everything that we're
going through as a nation than before, and the pandemic
and all of that. The second wave that I believe
that I saw is the wave of revival. I believe
the second wave is a wave of revival. It started

(09:49):
in Helo. They launched in Kona. There was a beginning
in Kona. There's an ending in Heilo that God was
doing something. As I began to look at how God
begins begins to uphold our nation, upholds the world, he
sovereignly pours out his spirit over the land. I'm want
to give you four things before I get into the
Book of Acts, and I want to tell you four
characteristics that you will find when it comes to a revival.

(10:11):
Number one, they are unexpected. In other words, they are sudden,
and they are sovereign. They are sudden and then they
are sovereign. So in other words, God would choose to
pour out his spirit on different people and on different places.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
But also it's sudden.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
It suddenly happens, but it's unexpected when God pours out
his spirit. He did it in the seventies. In the
nineteen seventies during the Jesus People movement, people from all
over America, hippies in their young age. Think about today's
you know, our young, good looking twenty somethings. Back then,
they're the sixties and the seventies, twenty somethings, they needed

(10:47):
some work. Okay, I'm just gonna say, okay, some of
them did to shave. And I'm talking about the ladies.
You know what I'm saying. They didn't smell right. They
had long hair and make love, not war. Psychedelic drugs.
Come on, you know I'm talking about. They were doing
all these things. They were bare, they had long hair.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
They had headbands. I'm not profiling, I'm just telling me
the way that it was. Look at the pictures.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
But then God sovereignly poured out his spirit because in
the nineteen sixties, let me take you back to the
other picture. In the nineteen sixties, we were trouble in America.
I was born in the sixties, in the late sixties.
I'm gonna tell you what's here. You figure it out.
But I was born in the sixties, and in the
sixties it was a great time of our nation. But
at the same time, it was one of the worst
times of our nation. I remember my mom telling me
stories in nineteen sixty two, I think was sixty three

(11:29):
when President John F. Kennedy got shot and everybody was quiet,
and they just cried in their schools. And I remember
the time when I heard about his brother Bobby Kennedy,
the Senator, him being assassinated by Sir Hans Sir Han,
and the great doctor Martin Luther King couldn't finish his
work in the civil rights movement. Doctor Jim Laffoon said
yesterday that God was speaking to him and told him

(11:51):
that the work that was done in the sixties had
never got completed.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I'm doing it today.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I'm going to complete that work that should have been
done in the sixties today. Our nation during this time,
going through the Vietnam War, going through coming veterans coming
back not being welco being given a hero's welcome like
they deserved because of the war that we were fighting.
We lost too many men there. All of this was
going on which gave birth to what would be like

(12:15):
from what historians say, like a rebellion of the seventies.
It was a we trust nobody over the age of forty.
And it was in that time that God saw these
young people that he loved and he raised up pastors
like Chuck Smith. And Chuck Smith was a great preacher,
a great pastor, actually a Bible teacher. Chapter by chapter,
verse by verse, line upon line, precept upon precept. And

(12:37):
in the nineteen seventies during the Jesus People Movement, they
didn't start let's start a movement and call it.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
The Jesus People movement. No Time magazine called.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
It the Jesus People movement because all of these hippies
were coming to Jesus. Well some of them looked like him,
but they were coming. Joke there, they were coming to Jesus.
And one of the great ones was Lonnie Frisbee. Lonnie
Frisbee was an evangelist, a great friend of my friend,
doctor Danny Layman from Whywham and Just Why Wham got
birthed out of this Youth with a Mission?

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Whywham? Youth with a Mission?

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Some people think it's called youth without any money, but
it's actually.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Youth with a mission.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
And in the Youth with a Mission, Doctor Lauren Cunningham,
how amazing and assemblies of God. Pastor, here's from the
Lord that he's going to do something totally different. And
he starts a missions organization sending people throughout the earth.
And guess where their home base is. Even though they've
got hundreds, their home base is Kylua Kona, and it's
called the University of the Nations.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Crazy. What's God doing? What is he doing?

Speaker 3 (13:39):
When you look at the Jesus People movement, you look
at the great preacher Billy Graham going speaking to I
think at least ten presidents would call him in to
counsel with him. He never lost his integrity while he
met with these men. They told them what they needed
to hear. And then when if you look at the
overflow of that wave of revival in the nineteen seventies,
In nineteen eighty three, my pastor Ralph Moore, who was

(14:00):
a young pastor in youth pastor in Portland, Oregon, then
in Los Angeles, California, and Manhattan Beach her Hermosa Beach,
and he passes a church there and in nineteen eighty three,
God gives him a vision to come to Hawaii, and
he sees the vision and he goes. He thinks he's
crazy because he's not the Pentecostal type.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
He just doesn't really believe in those too often.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
But God rocked him and shook him, and in nineteen
eighty three he moved his family with beautiful Ruby and
they are our spiritual parents and we're so grateful for them.
I grew up in the overflow of a wave of
revival in the seventies that came into the nineties and
into the early two thousands. But I think that wave
has dissipated. I think that wave has receded back.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Into the ocean.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
But I really believe that the dream that I saw,
and what the prophet Jim Laffoon, what John Bevie Milelani Honolulu,
to watch this, what they say, and what others are saying,
that we actually believe God's going to do it again.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
He's going to do it again.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
If he did it, if he he did it before,
and let me tell you, if he did it in
the eighteen fifties through literacy and through the missionaries coming
and if he did it Dan, He's gonna do it now.
Got is lining things up. Last week I talked about
the eighth koonane move. The kolonane is the chest piece
or the checker piece that Hawaiians would play black and
white stones and the eighth movie. We're still waiting for

(15:19):
the eighth stone. I believe we're carrying the eighth stone.
I believe this church has the authority of the eighth Stone.
I believe we have the heart of the eighth Stone,
because I believe that our church doesn't necessarily polarize.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
We bring people together.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
We have differing opinions, but we will never let anything
separate us.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
In the name of Jesus.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Somebody say Amen number one expected and it is sovereign.
The Bible tells us in the Acts chapter two, and
I'm going to in verse one that says on the
day of Pentecost, which means fifty days, it was actually
fifty days after Jesus's resurrection.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
From the dead.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
And for forty days he appeared, and he showed up
and he ate with his disciples, and then he would
disappear again. He seems to only show up during time
and breakfast time, but whenever Jesus would appear and he
would disappear for forty days.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
He went through this, and then he tells.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Them in Acts chapter one, verse eight and so on,
and he says, wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit.
Wait wait That waiting would take ten days, and ten
days they go to the upper Room. I've been to
the upper room in Jerusalem. It's a big room and
it's in the upper room. I don't know if it's
the actual upper room. But if a tourist guy tells
you that's the one, you generally believe him, especially if
they want to sell you stuff at the end. So

(16:29):
I go to the upper room, and while I'm in
the upper room, I'm imagining Jesus there and I'm just
believing it is.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Wait if you're not, it's not.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
But I'm here in Jerusalem and I'm praying, and I
can only imagine that the Bible tells us that suddenly,
if they were, all the believers were meeting together in
one place. The new Living TransNation doesn't do it justice.
Yes they were meeting in one place. Yes they were
together for ten days. Yes they had built a common bond.
After ten days, you better build a common bond. But

(16:56):
after that ten days, the Bible tells us in the
new King James version, that they were they were in
one accord, one accord. What's an a chord? A chord
is not a civic, A chord is not a honda.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
In a chord, we don't use those words. We are not, honey,
I'm feeling like we're not in one accord. No, in
a chord to being a chord with one another.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Means that there's harmony, that there's a divine flow, that
there's unity, that you come from different places, but you're
there for the main reason.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
You know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
And it says that they were all together in one
place and all in one accord. And then suddenly, as
Rory said, everybody say, suddenly, suddenly means all of a sudden, suddenly,
Honolulu Jay was just for you, that was actually for
Melely Lonnie.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
They a little bit behind the times.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
But then suddenly there was a sound from head then
like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled
the house where they were sitting, and then what looked
like flames or tongues.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Of fire appeared and settled on each one of them.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Can you imagine what that must have looked like, what
that must have felt like. You hear this like a
freight train coming. Do you hear that sound? You hear
the roar ring, And all of a sudden, they're fearful,
they're amazed at the same time, and all of a sudden,
tongues that are on fire appear over everybody's head.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Say, oh, what is that on your head?

Speaker 3 (18:14):
I don't know what is that on your hand, you know,
but so on my it's on all of our heads,
and what appears and I'm just hidding.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
But at the same time, can you imagine that for
the very first time.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
Because until then, the God was always on the outside
and he was never on the inside. And for the
first time in history, the Holy Spirit is now taking
center stage.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
In the narrative between God and his son.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
And in the Old Testament, he would come upon someone,
he would come upon David, he would come upon Samuel.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Right, he would come.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
Upon Samson, and Samson would rip that lion into he
would come upon rarely, he would come in. And now
the God from the outside would become the God on
the inside.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
And now God was beginning.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
To start the very first church, the very first ecclasia.
Before that, there was synagogues. Before that, there was one
temple worship.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
And now God was.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Turning people's hearts and people's bodies into the temple of
the Holy Spirit. He didn't need one building anymore. He
needed millions of buildings. And that's why your body is
a temple of the Holy Spirit. That's why it's your body,
and that's when God pours his spirit.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Into your body.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
You never know what God can do in Jesus name,
somebody say amen. So then it says that the sound
came and that what appeared like flames or tongues of
fire appeared and settled on each of their their heads,
and everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and
began speaking in other languages. What's that speaking in other languages?
Is that like the prayer language? And every now and
then I can hear Pastor Michael O shiyada bah bah

(19:42):
yahdah blah blah. Sorry, I don't mean to look at
anybody specifically, like you're like, oh, what is he's looking
at me? He's looking at me with that prayer language thing.
She yadah blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
No, this is different.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
If we got the Greek correct, it's glossalalia. And what
that really means is other languages. So, in other words,
as the Holy Spirit gave them ability, they started pouring
out into the streets because the Holy Spirit poured out
into them.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Now they're being overflown from the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
The outside comes inside, and now the inside comes outside, right,
and now they pour out into the streets.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
At nine o'clock in the morning, you have.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
All of these people who had been waiting for ten
days one hundred and twenty in the upper room. And
now they're in the streets of Jerusalem. And while they're
in the streets of Jerusalem, they're praising God in other languages.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Let me tell you how many languages. Look at this
wait verse five.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
And at that time there were det Jews from every
nation living in Jerusalem.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
So you understand this.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
When the festivals are happening, people come from different parts
of the Middle East in order to celebrate Pentecost, to
celebrate Passover, so.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
It's fifty days, so we might as well stay.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
From Passover to Pentecost instead of going home again and
coming back again. And they stay together. And while they're
staying together, they were bewildered to hear their own languages
being spoken by believers. So yet people amazed from different
places says they were completely amazed.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
How can this happen? How can this be? They exclaim?

Speaker 3 (21:07):
These people are all from Galilee. In other words, they're
from like the backwoods. And yet we hear them speaking
in our own native languages.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
And this is the languages they heard.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
We hear Parthians means and Elamites, people from Mesopotamia Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus,
the province of Asia, Phrygia, Pamphilia, Egypt, Egypt, and areas
of Libya around Syreene, Visitors from Rome, both Jews and
converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs. Seventeen languages, and nobody
took one in Rosetta stone class.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
No Babel app none of that.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
And they're listening, and they're hearing it, and we all.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Hear these people speaking in our.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Own languages about the wonderful things God has done. The
reverse of the Tower of Babel. It's the reverse tower
of Babel in the Book of Genesis. They says, let's
build something and make a name for ourselves. And so
for the very first time, instead of taking stones, they
bake bricks and they make tar, and out of the

(22:07):
tar and the brick and the tar and the brick,
they begin to build these big ziggarot looking things that
try to reach heaven. And God says they're gonna be
They're gonna they think they're gonna be powerful. So what
I need to do is I need to pull I
need to I need to confuse their language. And that's
what he did, and he confuse their language, and all

(22:27):
the people who are speaking English could no longer speak English.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
They were speaking something else.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
And the people who are speaking Spanish were not speaking Japanese,
and that people are speaking Japanese are not speaking Puerto
Rican on the same thing in Spanish.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
But you know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
And they're trying to find their people according to their language.
And right now throughout the earth, we're trying to find
people who speak in our language, and we're trying to
gravitate to people speak in the language of what God says,
I need you in one accord, I need you unified,
because I want to pour out my spirit. So then
you speak the languages that I give you in the
name of Jesus.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Amen.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
So then it says, But the others in the crowd
ridiculed them, saying in verse thirteen, they're just drunk, that's all.
And Peter gets up and preaches that how can he
be drunk. It's nine o'clock in the morning. You can't
get enough mimosas for that. But then at the end
he preaches, and three thousand people come to know Jesus
that day. That was the birth of the church in Pentecost.

(23:22):
Number one, What happens when God pours out his spirit.
Number one, come on, it's unexpected because it's sudden and sovereign.
Number two, It is unhindered. It can be unhindered. You
can be unhindered. In fact, you can't stop it when
it happens. You can only hope to contain it. And
there are gonna be times that you can quench it.
There can be times that you can throw water on it.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
There can be times that you can stop it.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
But God won't let that happen unless unless God does
something powerful and has a different way. When you look
at the revival that took place in Hilo, it lasted
for about twenty something years, almost thirty years.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
It was so great with Titus Cohen.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
But I've heard it said that it's actually slowed down
because Titus Cohen was a volcanologist.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
He wasn't just a preacher, he was a scientist.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
And he was hired by the US Army Corps of
Engineers to go up to Monacaire with them to go
and scale it and to be able to survey the land,
which actually took him away for months. Is it possible
that that slowed down the revival. There are a lot
of things that can slow down revivals. It just doesn't
mean that what he did. But this is what can

(24:30):
slow down to revival is self independence. What can slow
down a revival is prosperity. What can slow down revival
is continued sin. When those things begin to happen, God
needs to cleanse the church and he needs to cleanse
his people. Number two, it was unhindered. His number three.
Number three. It is unique in its expression. It is
unique in its expression. It doesn't look the same one
way as it does in the other way. See, you know,

(24:52):
I've never I've prayed for people. I've never seen tongues
of fire. I would love to see tongues of fire.
I've never seen tongues of fire. But I've seen high
school students on fire, who I'm preaching better than you're
responding up on the top there, come on now, I've
never seen tons of fire. But in my youth ministry,
I saw kids on fire. I saw Kamania School get
reached for Jesus, not all of it, but a lot

(25:13):
of it. I saw Cola Haill Kaylua, who had ever
thought those schools and castle, those schools on the windward
side dedicate their lives to Jesus. We were chaplains on
football teams, on basketball teams.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
We had carte blanche to go in.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
I would hold a pizza rally, buy thirty pizzas. Three
hundred kids would show up. At Castle High School, we
have a bed. I preach the gospel. Salvation's all over
the place. We could do that back then. We could
do that back then.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Now it's hard to get on any campuses.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
I'm telling you it can be unhindered, but there are
times that we can quench it.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
As a matter of fact, Russ kimu A right here
was part of that.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Russ Raisia hand Raisia hand raijiahn one of the best
students I ever had. Taught him almost everything I know,
almost everything I know, and he can testify on how
open schools were when he was one of my best
students at Castle High School.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Right there.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
We need a revival again that God lets us into
every sphere of society in Jesus name.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Here's number three. Number three.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
I told you this, but it's unique and it's expression.
Does it always look the same way that it did before?
I remember when we had a youth camp. We invited
a band called Josca. I don't know if you heard
of those guys, probably not, but then they were a
reggae Christian band and they were awesome and they were incredible,
and we hired them. They came out of Grace Bible.
And then my first night at camp, timberline up on Machaquilo,

(26:28):
all the way up on the top.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
We had our first camp.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
And let me tell you for the very first time
that normally you have a four night camp, you build
it up into a crescendo. First night, go easy, second night,
go eat, go harder, third night, go go all out.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
You know. Fourth night, let's go after it.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
And then on the fourth night you do the bonfire,
you bring the Holy Spirit, the kids get saved.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
You boom, you did your job. Guess what it happened
on night one?

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Everybody, it happened on the first night. And my leaders
are looking at me, bomb when you guys bum because
the Holy Spirit showed up a night one.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
I said, you gotta be kidding me. It's only want
to get better after this. It doesn't look the same.
So what happened during the Jesus People movement what happened
with Castle High School at come Hamea. It's not gonna
look the same.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
It's sovereign, it's sudden, it's unexpected, it's unhindered, and is
what it's unique.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
It's unique.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Enix expression, here's number four. Number four. It's undeniable. It's
undeniable when it happens you are living under an open heaven,
an open heaven where.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Jesus prayed that heaven.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
When we pray that your will be done on earth
as it is in heaven, we are asking God for
an open heaven over Hawaii and over this state, that
he pours out his presence like he never poured it
out before. As the worship team comes up, it is undeniable.
That's why it's so important that through every sphere of
society that as we carry ourselves into these spheres, we

(27:54):
carry ourselves with excellence, we carry ourselves with love. We
don't lower our standards, we don't get down in dirty.
Sometimes we actually learn how to fight above the pray.
When we actually begin to pray, we are above the fray.
I just made that up just now somebody Instagram that
when we are prey, we are above the fray at
my kai, go right ahead, thank you. Think about it

(28:15):
for a moment. Every time I pray, I am above
the fray. There's a lot of phrays, there's a lot
of fights. But if you look at it, they're actually
furrows for seed planting.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
They're actually furrows for seed.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Planting when we are attacked or when we are going
through persecution. Because when the Holy Spirit poured out in
the church in Jerusalem, you know what happened.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
They grew like crazy.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
And that's when Gamalio says, everybody on the Sanhedrin, the
Pharisee that sadity says, we need to stop this. They're
threatening our livelihood. They're threatening our that's what we're doing here.
Just has to stop. And they don't stop it.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
This. We got a duck in the house. Duck.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
Ducks need Jesus to everybody. Ducks need Jesus. Stop stop laughing,
moving right along. That's all good, it's all good, it's
all good, it's all good. Do not be embarrassed. Start
a minute. She called ducks for Christ.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
I can't help it. Where was I? When? When?

Speaker 3 (29:31):
When?

Speaker 2 (29:31):
When?

Speaker 3 (29:32):
When Gamaleo, who actually was the apostle Pau's mentor his Rabbi,
Paul's not on the scene yet. We're gonna go through
the book acts. He's not on the scene, Gamalio says.
At this moment, he says, you can't stop this. If
we stop this, Disciples of the followers of Jesus, we

(29:54):
might actually be in the way, and you don't want
to be in the way of God.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Great advice go down A couple.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Years later, and the Bible tells us that there's a
man named Stephen's standing up for righteousness and is stoned
to death.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
And while he's stoned to death, literally throw stones.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Paul, Gamalo's understudy is holding everybody's jackets. That took me
Homa jacket, Homa jacket, Homa jacket, take off much Homa jacket,
and they were stone in them. Paul's holding their jackets.
The understudy to Gamleo, his name is Saul, though his

(30:42):
name hasn't been changed to Paul yet, because.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
He hasn't had a move of God.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Yet, and all that hey and all that anger and
all that approval that he's doing, God still had yet
to work on his heart.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Stephen dies.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
The Bible said is after that a great wave of
persecution came into the church that day. Let me, let me,
let me give you the verse because you might want
to read it in case you don't believe me. He says,
here Acts chapter eight, first one, a great wave of
persecution came into the church.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
So, in other words, man Satan got angry.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
The devil threw everything at him, everything that he could,
because this is the only place in the world that
this was happening right now, And Saul is holding jacketson
giving his approval. Amazing, how ironic that few chapters later,
that same Saw is riding on his high horse.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
On the way to Damascus, and on that road God.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Strikes him blind, gives us something equivalent to cataracts, and
he's on the ground, and now.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
He's crying like a little baby.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Because God got him right where he wants him. Saul
would receive his sight he was under his life to Jesus,
the greatest persecutor of the church, would be the greatest
proponent of the Church. And this young man, that Saul
of Tarsus, would now become one of the greatest people
that God would ever use.

Speaker 6 (32:12):
To write the Book of first Koreanthians and the Second
Corinthians write first Timothy tewod Timothy. He would write all
of that, you'd be one of the greatest advantiness in
the history of the world.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
So when I began to tell all my friends that.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
I'll be like all these pastors, I said, listen to said,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
I'm not the face. I don't want to be the face.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
I do not want to be the face of revival,
and I don't think God would use me to be
the face anyway. I just want to be the guy
that brings the matches. I just wanted to be people
hold jackets. I got matches. If we just strike one,
maybe we strike a strike a match in Hilo. Maybe
somebody would want to strike a match in Kna.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Maybe somebody might want to strike a match in Lui Hui.
You think they need matches in Kahala? You think they
need matches in the Hawaiikai. You think they need a
fire in Connie here? Do you think they might need
a fire? In Bahaha? Do you think they might need
a fire? No the Coulie. Do you think they might
need a fire in Wa ya Wa? Do you think

(33:17):
they might need a fire? Where? Do they need fires?
We got a final. We're not asking this we're just setting.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
The world up the flame with our prayers.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
How about the fray in the name of Jesus. Come on, everybody,
say Jesus. Father.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
We just want to say we love you and Lord,
I pray that you would set our hearts on fire
online me Leilani Honolulu, people who love you and Father,
those who who need that fire in our lives. Father,
maybe you need to burn away the tross. Maybe they're
a sin that you need to set a flame. But Lord,
set us on fire, because Lord, we've tried everything else

(33:51):
in twenty twenty and twenty twenty one and it does
not work.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
All we need is Jesus. We need everything else, but
we need Jesus. So this is not an ad to gospel.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
We need Jesus more than anything else.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Nothing else is satisfied. In the name of Jesus.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
Come on, hallelujah.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
