Speaker 2 (00:24):
You know, we're continuing our series that we just started
last week, and make sure you get to watch it
on the series called He's So Judgy. It is on
the Book of Judges, and it is a great book
to me. I love reading the Book of Judges. There's
so many great people that God used, ordinary men and
women that were not trained for this, but raised up
for a moment like that. And a lot of people

(00:44):
relate to that because right now there's a lot of
people who are wondering, God.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
What are you doing with my life? Lord? Are you
doing anything with my life?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
And I want you to know that no matter who
you are, where you've been, and what you've done, that
God can take your life and my life and he
can use it for his glory in the name of Jesus.
So as we begin to look at this Book of Judges,
it is the transigatory period or the transition period between Joshua,
who was a definite, strong military leader who was.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Raised up by Moses.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Part of the original twelve Spies was the two that
had faith and believed.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
That they could take the land.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
And this next generation is the generation after two or three,
one or two generations that actually got soft because they
didn't fight the battles like their parents and then grandparents.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Did you know, the Bible tells.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Us that God actually left, He left the enemy in
the different lands in order for them to learn how
to fight because they didn't know warfare. And God begins
to use the nation. But the nation of Israel, even
though they have occupied the lands that they've gone into
the Promised land and they're doing great things, there was
a problem. The problem was that they turned their back

(01:51):
away from God. All of the things that they learned
while they were wandering in the desert. The parents apparently
didn't pass it on to their children and to the
children's child, and the priests and the Levites possibly didn't
pass that on. Or it's quite possible that it was
taught and it was not caught, that it was preached,
but it was never received and fell on deaf ears.

(02:11):
Because now they began to see all the other nations,
and they wanted to be like all the other nations.
You know, I was a teenager once a long time ago.
I wanted to be like other kids. And I have children,
and I know sometimes that they wish they were like
another family or another kid, and wish they could have
what they have with the freedoms that they have.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
But we're different, We're not like everybody else.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
And so as a result of our convictions, our biblical values,
this is the way that we live. And as a
result of that, you have to pass that on. But
also you have to have a willing participant, a willing
participant to listen to what the Church has to say,
what the Bible has to say, what mom and dad
has to say, what grandma and grandpa have in the
input that they've got, youth pastors, leaders, all of that.

(02:53):
We need willing participants. And when we have a willing participant,
willing to yield to God, willing to listen into the
Holy Spirit, it uses the Bible and not culture as
their blueprint for life, then we can avoid the things
that the nation of Israel went through when they were
in the Promised Land and actually inherited the land that
they actually was promised to be given. And so now

(03:15):
they've got this land and they turned their back on God.
And we talk about that cycle of destruction that was happening,
and we pick it up again.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Last week we.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Talked about a Hood, and this week we talk about
a new judge and her name is Debra. And the
Bible tells us in Judges chapter four, verse one, it
says that after a Hood's death, the Israelites again did
evil in the Lord's site. Very important to pause there
for a moment, because this is where it all begins.
A Hood was the last judge, and a Hood dies

(03:45):
and then Israel goes back to doing evil in the
Lord's site.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Let me tell you what was evil in the Lord's side.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
It just wasn't that they just wanted to go to
the club.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
It wasn't about that.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
It wasn't about oh, we just I want to wear
shorts that's a little bit higher, or you know, I
want to like I wanted the.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Cut to be a little That's not evil.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
What was evil was that they began to worship other gods.
They began to intermarry with the Canaanites, Vites, the Parizites,
the mosquito Bites, and all of the electrolytes and all
of those neighboring nations. And as a result of intermarrying
with them, they began to take on their gods like
Bail the god, the goddess Astrara, and the astith polls

(04:23):
and everything else that went along with killing those babies
that they didn't want as a result of their sexual
escapades that they were.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Using in religious ceremonies.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
So during that time, God said that was evil, that
is definitely evil, and the Israelites did evil in the
Lord's side. So the Lord turned them over to who
he turned them over the king Jabin of Hazor, a
Canaanite king, and the commander of his army was Sisera.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Everybody says Cicera Cisara.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Who lived in Haroschith Heigelim and Cicera, who.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Had nine hundred iron.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Chariots, ruthlessly oppressed the earze Lights for twenty years, twenty
years of oppression by another enemy. And then the people
of Israel cried out to the Lord for help. And
this is when God sends a deliverer. This is where
enter the next judge. And that's how God picked his

(05:17):
judges according to the wickedness of the people, and who
was standing out.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
That God would use.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Bible says in verse four that Deborah, the wife of Lapidov,
was a prophet who was judging Israel at that time,
and she would sit under the Palm of Deborah between
Rama and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and
the Israelites would go to her for judgment. Well, one
day she sent for Barak, the son of abino Am,
who lived in Kadesh, in the land of Naftali.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
So she sends for Barak.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
She said to him, this is what the Lord, the
God of Israel, commands. You call out ten thousand warriors
from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor,
and I will call out Cisra of Jabin's army, along
with his chariots and his warriors, to the Kishon River.
There I will give you victory over him. Barack told her,

(06:06):
I will go, but only if you go with me.
Very well, she replied, I will go with you, but
you will receive no honor in this venture, for the
Lord's victory over Cisa will be at the hands of
a woman.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
So Deborah went with Barak.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
To Kadesh, and at Kadesh, Barak called together the tribes
of Zebulen Naftali, and ten thousand warriors went up with him.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Deborah also went with him.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
So that first ten verses that I just read and
stick with me through the whole thing, because it's quite
a fascinating narrative in story. So in the first ten verses,
what we read is how God is already I'm setting
up his deliverer. He already had her in place, and
her name was Deborah. So God raises up Debora. She's
already a judge and she's judging. And now it's not
like she was just judging people. You know, I'm talking
about you ever heard of people who are super judging exactly?

(06:52):
So you're a judge. I'm not judging your judge, you
know I'm talking about. She wasn't judging people like, oh
my gosh, you need to fix that. Oh my h no,
there's something wrong with your life, oh you know, and
nobody can stand that kind of people.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
She wasn't doing that though.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
What she was doing was people from Israel would come
to her and they would stand in line. They might
spend a day or two or three just to plead
a case with her, and she, with the wisdom that
God gave her, would begin to pronounce a righteous judgment
over the situation.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
The verdict. She would declare a verdict. So that was
what she did.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Now, Remember, judges back in those days were not about
the gavel and the gown. They were not about the
gavel and the gown. They were called by God, anointed
by the Holy Spirit, and used powerfully like nobody else
in their entire region.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
So this is Debra.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
So now we've got Debra, and she's doing her job
as an anointed servant of the Lord, and she's sitting
under the palm of Debra, and the people would come
to her for a verdict and a fair judgment. Then
all of a sudden, she decides to call out Barak.
So she calls Barak, and she tells Barak, bring two
tribes of Israel, Nef Khali and Zebuln, and meet me
here under the mount table. And I'm going to call

(08:02):
out you call out ten thousand warriors. God says, I'm
gonna call out Cisara and King Jabin, and I will
call out their warriors, and we're gonna have a battle
because I'm done with this. I'm done with the way
that they're oppressing my people.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
I'm done.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
I think my people are at the right spot where
they are repenting, that I've got them in a good spot,
even though they've been turning away from me and doing
all this evil. Now their heart's are ready because they're
all crying out to God for help. So God raises
up a deliverer, and the judge is Deborrah. But he's
gonna use different people. At this moment, he's using Barak.
Barack says, I will not go unless you go with me.

(08:37):
Some people see this as a man being weak. I
don't see it that way. I seeing as a bat
as a man being smart. I see this as a
man who knows that he needs as much help as
possible because even though the Lord's going to give them
the victory, give them Israel the victory, he realizes the
enemy is powerful. So without underestimating the enemy and overestimating himself,

(08:58):
what does he do. He says, I will only go
if you go with me. I totally get it. I
get it. It'd be like me saying to Lisa, look,
we're gonna go do this, but we gotta be in
one accord. We gotta be in one accord. Now that's
a husband wife relationship. But I can also tell you
that I rely on so many strong, strong and capable
women in my church and on my staff, that some

(09:20):
of them are prophetic, some of them are great leaders,
some of them are prayer warriors. And I can tell
you right now that's exactly what we need if we're
gonna fight an enemy that is bigger, badder, more better trained,
and better equipped than us.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Because if you look.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
At the Israelite army, the people that they're calling out,
they didn't have all the iron, they didn't have everything.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
What did they have?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
They had maybe a whole, They had a plow, they
had probably had a rake. They might have had some
homemade weapons, but not like Csa what Cicara had. Csara
had nine hundred iron chariots. Now Csara obviously is one
bad dude.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
So Cicara with.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
His nine hundred chariots and charioteers are gonna be called
down to the river by God. God's gonna call him down.
We'll get back to that later, but think about a
chariot to me was equivalent to a tank back in
those days. He had all of the hardware, and he
had all of the warriors in the weaponry.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
But Israel had nothing.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
All they had was ten thousand men who answered a
call because Barak told him to show up. And we're
going gonna be a hold down at a showdown against Cierra.
Somebody say, amen, pick it up in verse eleven. So
now Heber the Kenite. Meanwhile, meanwhile Heber the Kenite, a
descendant of Moses' brother in law Hobab, had moved away

(10:40):
from the other members of his tribe and pitched his
tent by the oak of Zanim near Kadesh. And when
Cicera was told that Barak, son of abino Wam, had
gone down to Mount Tabor, he called for all of
his nine hundred iron chariots and all his warriors, and
they marched toward Haraschif Hagelayim and to the Kishan river.
As I told you right now, they all marched down

(11:01):
to the river. Because he heard that he called out
an army.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
So then it says this.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Then Debra said to Barak, get ready, this is the
day the Lord will give you victory over Cicerra. So
the Lord is marching ahead of you so Barak led
his ten thousand warriors down the slopes of Mount Tabor,
down the slopes and where Barak attacked barrack attack, not
the same as Khannak attack, but a barrack attack and

(11:26):
a barrack attack where he the lord threw Cicera and
all his chariots and all his warriors into a panic,
and Sisra leaped down from his chariot and escaped on foot.
And then Barack chased the charots and the enemy all
the way to Howard schittago Yim, killing all of Cicera's warriors,
and not a single one was left or alive. So

(11:50):
now you can see, all of a sudden you have Cisra,
and Cicra is running for his life, and he's going
as far as he can. But unbeknown to him, there's
a man named Heber, Heber the whole Bite. Everybody Heber
the whole Bite, with a big underbite and an overbite
called Heber the whole Bite. And Heber the Whole Bite

(12:10):
and his family had pitched their tents in a safe
zone unbeknownst to them, and distanced themselves from the family
that they were part of. Now it's interesting to note
that their families were on good terms with King Jabin,
the Canaanite king, but they allowed themselves to separate and
distance themselves from their other relatives and pitched their tent

(12:32):
in this perfect spot. Now, I want you to see something.
Come on over here to this chessboard. God is not surprised.
God is always moving. God is a master chess player.
He is moving pieces where every piece needs to be.
He's going, He's moving. He's bringing out a bishop. You
know what I'm talking about. He is bringing out a knight. Oh,

(12:56):
he is bringing out a rook. He's making room for
the rook. He is organizing and orchestrating pieces that you
and I cannot see. When he is moving Hebrew the
wbite and his family, who's a keen knights, moving them
away and distancing them away from their normal family. He's
in position, but he has no idea, but his wife is.

(13:18):
And when God is calling out ten thousand warriors and
he uses them in Mount Tabor and draws them up.
God is stirring up the enemy. And God is moving pieces.
And I want you to know right now that this
world is not out of control.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
The God is moving.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Pieces wherever he needs to move them in preparation for
one day, things that will shock the world, things that
would throw people off, things that people never expected. Because
all the pieces are being put in place, and the
same things with your life. In my life, the God
is not just doing He's not on this random cosmic
thing that he's doing up in the heavenles.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
To mess with your life. He's not.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
He actually is allowing you to be set up so
that you'll get into a place where you can execute
the checkmate. See, the king always has another move left,
and his name is Jesus. And if you're wondering, why
is this piece working like this, why did we have
to move from this state or from this county?

Speaker 3 (14:17):
Why did we move? Why did I lose my job?
Or why?

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Well, other than maybe you didn't work hard enough, or
other than maybe you're a victim of circumstances, or other
than maybe you just didn't cut it, or other than
God can still take every situation in your life and
work it out for your good, because I tell you
the Bible says in Romans chapter eight, verse twenty eight,
that God works all things for the good of those
who love him, according to his purpose, and he will

(14:40):
work it all out if you love him and are
called according to his purpose. So, no matter what's going
on in your life, God is still able to move
and orchestrate pieces of billions of people in the world
that love him.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Why because he's God.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Because he can, because he has the capacity and the
mental capacity and the love capacity for humanity in order
for him to move pieces and parts in your life
and in countries and in governments in order to accomplish
his good will. And if you're worried right now, what's
going on with my life and what's going on with
this situation, what's going on with the state, the lockdowns,

(15:15):
the opening ups, the schizophrenia. When it comes to masks
and no mask, I want you to know that God
is with you.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
He has not abandoned you.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
He said, I will never leave you, and I will
never forsake you, and he will never leave you hanging
out there. But He will always strengthen you. He will
always be with you. And there are gonna be times
that you feel like God is not with me. Where's
God right now? I feel like He's gone silent on me.
I feel like God has ghosted me. I feel like
God has gone dark on me, or whatever. God has
not gone dark on you. God has not ghosted you.

(15:46):
God is actually allowing you to grow through this. Every
hurt that you go through is an opportunity when you
get beyond the pain, to see the good that God
can do in your life, no matter how bad it is,
no matter what it is, God is orchestrating things in

(16:06):
your life. You know, the Bible says this that the
eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth. In other words,
the eyes of God searched throughout the world to strengthen
those whose hearts are for him.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
And God is looking for a young man and a
young woman.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
God is looking for any person, no matter how old,
how young, no matter who you are right now, what country,
it does not matter, and He's looking to strengthen you.
I praise God that I'm thankful that God use a girl,
use a woman like Deborah. But Deborah had already prophesied
that that victory would go to a woman.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
And you know what, it was not her. She was
a role player. Baraka was a role player.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
And God was drawing out the enemy in an incredible fashion.
To take out the number one warrior of one of
the biggest armies the Canaanite armies. Let's go back to
the text. The text tells us in verse seventeen, meanwhile,
everybody say meanwhile, meanwhile, Cicerah ran to the tent of Yaell.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Ya Ell looks like Jl, but her name is pronounced y'a.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Elle ran to the tent of Yael, the wife of
Heber the Kenite. Because Hebre's family was on friendly terms
with the King Jabin of Hazar and jail or. Yael
went out to meet Cicera and said to him, come
into my tent, sir, come, come, don't be afraid. So
he went into her tent and she covered him.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
With a blanket. So she covers him up with a blanket.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
She's hiding right now, if you stop right there, she's
creating some kind of moral crime by allowing another man
in her tent. Secondly, this man is the enemy of Israel,
and God's coming after this man with his own army.
And she harbors the enemy in her tent. And at
this moment verse nineteen, he says, please give me some water.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
He said, I'm thirsty.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
So she gave him some milk from her leather bag
and covered him again. See he wants water, but she
gives him milk. See, you don't have to give the
enemy anything. He says, I want water, You give him milk.
This is a difference between that milk. Now, I don't
know if it was like I know, it was probably kurds,
a thicker milk, kind of like a spoiled milk. You

(18:11):
ever drank spoiled milk before you ever did that? Before
you open the carton, you don't realize the date. The
date is over, and you begin to pour yourself a cup,
and then you begin to drink it, and it's thicker
than normal. It's like gross, you know what I'm talking about.
It's kind of like at this level because they didn't
have refrigeration back in that day. So he says, give
me some water. She gives him milk. There's something about
that milk. In that milk, it's the same thing that's

(18:33):
in Turkey. I can tell you right now that America
is at its sleepiest on Thanksgiving Day, Andy probably about
a week after that, because all the trip to Fan
that is in that Turkey and trip to Fan is
also in milk.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
And look what happens Verse twenty. He says, stand at the.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Door of the tent, he told her, if anybody comes
and asks you, if anyone was here, just say no.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
But when Cisa fell asleep right from.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Exhaustion because he'd been running so far from exhaustion, ya
El quietly crept up to him with a hammer and
a tent peg in her hand, and she drove the
tent peg through his temple and into the ground.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
And he died.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Wow, a woman took a tent peg and a hammer.
Come on, it's hammer time, somebody, and she hammered it
right through his head.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
That's what I call savage, savage, savage.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Then it goes on to say it says in verse
twenty four. And when Barak came looking for Siserah, yah
L went out to meet him, and she said, come
and I will show you the man that you were
looking for. So he followed her into the tent and
found Cisarah lying there.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Dead with a tent peg through his temple.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
And so on that day Israel saw God defeat Jabin,
the Canaanite king. And from that time on, Israel became
stronger and stronger against King Jabin until they finally destroyed him.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Did you see that they got.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Stronger and stronger until they finally defeated him.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Because they eventually defeated him.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
This was just one battle of several more until they
finally defeated their enemy, King Jabin of the Canaanites. Here's
three things that I want to share with you, and
I'm going to circle back real quick, and we're going
to end this. But here it is three things real quick.
Number one, So when God brings the victory, what does
he use? He used the most unlikely of all people.
Think about it for a moment, ya el. Her job

(20:27):
was to set up the tent. Back in those days,
the women set up tents. The men were sheep herding,
or they were out there with their livestock, and they
were finding green grass and new pastures for their family
to move to, for the animals to go to. Where's
the next river? Where are we plotting their next course?

Speaker 3 (20:43):
What are we going to do?

Speaker 2 (20:44):
So the women set up the tent. And these tents
were not little puff tents. They were big tents. And
they had tent pegs, and they had mallets, ten pegs
this long, mallets this big, and they needed to heave
it and houlve.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
It up and they need to pound it in. And
that's what they did.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
So God uses the most unlikely of all people, and
he used a woman. I know today God can use
a woman, no problem with that. But in those days
the women weren't given the respect that they deserved. And
God used two women, not just Deborah. But God used
the il number one, the most unlikely of soldiers.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Number two. What does God do?

Speaker 2 (21:17):
He hands them the most unusual weapons, the most unusual weapons.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
This is definitely a weapon.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
The weapon in the hands of someone strong, the weapons
in the hand.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Of someone who knows what they're doing.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
But I can tell you no one else could come
into the tent but her husband. And when evil comes
into the house, you gotta give them the hammer. And
when it came in, God uses the weapons.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
You know.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
The weapons are not necessarily protesting, but they could work.
They're not necessarily politicking or politicking. But that works doesn't
necessarily mean your social media feed and what you want
to say and platforms they work. But at the end
of the day, the biggest weapon that you and I
have is the word of God, the spoken word of God.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
In prayer.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
The Bible says it's two Corinthians, chapter ten, verse four,
that we use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to
knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and destroy false arguments.
And what this means is that God gives us the
most unlikely results, and the most unlikely results was ten
thousand warriors fighting against nine hundred chariots.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
And these warriors were not the best trained.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
There were men who answered the call of a man
named Barak, who says, I heard from the Lord according
to Deborah, that we need the band together, and I
need two tribes to produce ten thousand warriors.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
And what is it? The men show up.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
These are men who worked in vineyards, worked in farms,
worked with livestock, maybe a few merchants.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
And they came and they were what they were, the militia.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
And the militia showed up against the enemy.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
But what does God do.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
God calls out Cisra and he brings them to the
river edge. And while they're at the river edge, the
ten thousand other warriors they begin to come down, and
the ten thousand.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Warriors meet them.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
But the Lord says, then God began to put these
chariot charioteers into a panic, and now they're panicking, and
as a result of the panic, God gives them the victory.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
But what happens Cicera.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
He jumps out of his chariot and he begins to
run as fast as he can in order to get
to the tents. God is doing something awesome, Because what God?
What does God do? God begins to use the most
unlikely people. I'm one of the most unlikely people God
could ever use. If you know my story, you would know, like, wow, him,

(23:32):
all of my cousins, all of my family, they all
God did it, and they look at look at look
at what's happened now, Probably the most unlikely candidate to
ever become a pastor of a church or even lead
a church. Like this, God uses the most unlikely people.
What does God use?

Speaker 3 (23:46):
The most unlikely weapons, the things that you normally think
someone would use. God doesn't use those things. God uses
something totally different.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
He didn't use a sword, he didn't use a shield,
he didn't use a He used a tent, peg and
a hammer, and he accomplishes the most unlikely of results
that you will ever see.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
That's what God does.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
The most unlikely of people, the most unlikely weapons, and
the most unlikely results.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
All of this is totally uncommon. Of what God does.
God can actually take what would be uncommon to most
and make it common to all of us. Oh, I've
seen God do that before. Absolutely, I've seen God use
people like that. I've seen God heal people. I've seen
him raise the dead. I've seen him use.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Situations where where it looked like the worst situation, the
worst case scenario, ten thousand against nine hundred powerful warriors.
I've seen God deliver victory and says see later on
We're gonna talk about this on Deep Dive Wednesday. And
how this woman, y'all, Elle rose up and took the
opportunity and took out the enemy. That what she loud

(25:00):
into her tent. You have to be careful because this
woman was wise. Her weapon was her mind and the
spirit of God that was with her. And can you
imagine when Cisra right, Csra is running for the rest
of his life, trying to get to what he would
think as a safe place or a city of refuge
so to speak, or a safe haven that if I

(25:22):
come over here and I see those tents, they're gonna
know who I am. But while he's running to make
himself uncommon, I bet just my imagination taking off stripping
off his insignia, running.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Without his royal, his royal robes.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Taking off everything that would say, look look at how
bright he is.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
That's gotta be the general. That's got to be the general.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Because back then they'd have the biggest flags around him,
they'd have the brightest coats, they were well protected.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
But all of his protection is gone.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
So what is doing probably stripping himself off when he
finally gets to the tent, and there he is at
that tent, the enemy has come into your tent?

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Have you allowed? What if you allowed into your life?
What if you allowed into your feed? What have you
allowed through your screen? What if allowed into your home?
You've got to be careful that.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
If you do not have the wisdom of a yael
in order to bring the victory that God had already
prophesied through a woman named Deborah, through a barack that cooperated.
God was using something powerfully at this moment. And this
woman could have either fallen pray to the general. The
general could have killed her. But no, she was smart,
she was ready, and right at that moment she began

(26:31):
to stand up and stood for what was right and
did what needed to be done. You got to be
careful what you're allowing into your tent. He might have
disguised himself as he was coming, maybe snuck around several
tents in order to get to her tent.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
And when he got to her tent, what does she do?
What does he do? He asks for water and she
gives him milk.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Now we already talked about how that milk knocked him out.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
But here's God. God is working and God is able
to do.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
It exceedingly abundantly, more than we could ever ask for,
hope for, or even imagine.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
So God brings a victory. And every time God brings
a victory.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
One thing that I've learned and some of my friends
just have, Like Don Cousins has said this to me.
He says, Mike, if you can do it, God is
not likely in it, and you get the glory.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
You know. Recently, we're going to going through.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Some battles because there's a place that we need to
get to. Lisa and I are fighting for some good
things in our life that is going to set us
up for generations to come. And I remember going through
all of these battles, spiritual battles intense in the last month.
I can tell you right now very intense paths. Pray
for us, pray for us, covering and a protective shield
around us. But I can tell you that without if

(27:42):
it's so easy, sometimes I wonder if God is in it,
if it was so easy, if the red carpet will
rolled out for you to buy that house, if the
red carpet will rolled out for you to have babies
that easily, If the red carpet will rolled out, it
would be so easy for you to get that promotion,
or get that education, get that scholarship.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
It's not going to be easy.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
You know why because oftentimes if it's not hard, A
wonder if God is in it, and that's what God
wants for you. See, if God does it, then he
gets to glory. Choose something that would bring great glory
to him. What are you facing in your life that
is impossible without God's intervention? Like what goals do you
have in life? If you're working for a staff for

(28:25):
somebody and you do your goals, are your goals doable?

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Or your goals? Man is a faith stretch goal.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
I'm gonna have to stretch in faith and in prayer
in order to accomplish that. That's the kind of stuff
see you know what God does. It's impossible to please
God without faith, according to the Book of James.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
And if you want to please God, have big faith.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Go forward, don't be afraid, stretch like never before, and
watch what God does. Because the eyes of the Lord
are searching to and fro throughout the earth to strengthen
those whose hearts are to him. And if your heart
is committed to God, then allow the Lord to come
and strengthen you. Strengthen you in battle, strengthen you in

(29:09):
unlikely situations.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Being an unlikely person to be picked. You know I'm
talking about God. You should totally pick me. God, you
should totally.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
God will be like, uh, next, I want to use
somebody that I could get some glory from God. Get
I'll get glory for it, rather than you take all
the glory. Whatever it is, whatever is going on in
your life, trust God. The most unlikely of all people,
the most unlikely of all weapons, and the most unlikely
or uncommon results. That's what God does. And he raises

(29:38):
up a deliverer. Her name is Deborah. He uses ya
Ell he gets to glory, and then there is peace
in the land again. Now I'm looking forward to talking
about this on Deep Dive Wednesday. Lisa will be preaching
Deep Dive Wednesday this week Wednesday, and I want you
to join us because it's been a little bit before
she got to It's been a while since we've had
her in the pulpit, and I love for her to share.

(30:00):
It's going to be incredible. So thank you, everybody. Would
you pray with me? Can we borrow our heads and pray?
Let's pray.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Father, We thank you so much. We thank you for
your love for us. We thank you for your concern,
We thank you for your care. Lord. I thank you
that it's not that you are not seeing what's going on,
but that you are moving pieces.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
You are allowing things to happen. You are orchestrating behind
the scenes. When the enemy makes one move, you already
have countered him two or three to ten moves down
the road. And I thank you for that. And Lord,
I thank you that even proved so true in our
own lives as well. Lord God, that we need you
now in every aspect of our lives. And we love you, God,
we bless you, We give you all the praise and

(30:38):
glory in the name of Jesus.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
And everybody said Amen.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
