listening to Pray Radio. Hi everybody, I'm Richard Roberts, and
I believe in expecting miracles. You may not know this,

but back in the early seventies, for several years, I
traveled with Catherine Coolman. I traveled with her across America.
I was on her television program numerous times and also
in quite a number of her meetings. Now, in those days,
I was not yet preaching and praying for the sick,
but she was training me in the healing ministry, and

I learned so much about the healing ministry from her
as well as from my father and how I thank
God for all the training that I had back in
those early early years. I'm involved in the healing ministry.
Of course, we have the Abundant Life Prayer Group nine
one eight four, nine five seven, seven seven seven as
well as of yesterday, I got a new report yesterday,

we received over twenty nine million telephone calls through the
Abundant Life Prayer Group. We're not too far away from
hitting thirty million calls. And I remember I remember in
nineteen fifty eight, I was just ten years old when
my mother, Evelyn Roberts, took the first phone call with
the new Abundant Life Prayer Group. I was in the room.

I remember when the phone rang for the first time
and my mother took the call herself. Well as twenty
nine million telephone calls ago. But I'm deeply, deeply involved
in the healing ministry. Of course, I had good training
under my father, or Roberts, under Katherine Coolman, under Kenneth Hagen,
under brother John Ostein, Joe Ostein's dad, also under Kenneth Copeland.

So many mentors in my life, and how I thank
God for what I've learned about the healing ministry. I
want you to know it's God's will for you to
be will. God gets no glory out of you being sick.
The Bible says that Jesus came to a leper one
day and the leper said to him, you can heal
me if you want to and Jesus replied, I want

to it's my will, and he touched and healed him,
and that forever settled the issue about healing. Third John
two tells us, beloved, I wish above all things that
you prosper and be in health. Now that's healing. Prosper
and be in health even as your soul prospers. That
means that God wants you well in every area of
(02:38):
your life. And I want to talk for a few
minutes today about how to stand in faith against sickness
and disease well. In order to do that, first of all,
you know, you need to identify the enemy. If you
were going out in a warfare, you would first of
all identify your enemy. You'd try to understand your enemy.
In the old days of World War II and other
(02:59):
wars in America has been involved in the generals studied
the generals of the other army. Our remember seeing a
movie about Midway, the Battle of Midway, and how the
Japanese admiral Yamamoto studied the American admirals to understand what
they might or might not do. Well, we need to
(03:21):
understand our enemy. Sickness is an enemy, and the Bible
tells us in John ten ten the thief who's our enemy.
The devil cometh not but for to steal and kill
and destroy, all right, So we understand that sickness is
from the devil, it's not from God. Sickness is not
(03:43):
your friend. Sickness has not been put on you, so
God can teach you a lesson. And if you've heard
that type of teaching in theology, you need to wash
that out. I remember a song from the old musical
South Pacific. I'm going to wash that man right out
out of my hair. Well, you need to wash that
thought right out of your mind. Sickness is not your friend.
(04:05):
Sickness is the enemy. It's the devil coming against you
to take you out. It comes to steal your health,
It comes to kill yourselves, It comes to destroy your
very life. That's what Satan wants to do. So we
need to understand our enemy, our enemy. The Bible says
the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom
(04:26):
he may devour. Sickness is designed by Satan himself to
devour us. So we need to understand we have an enemy.
It's not our friend, and it's not from God. It
makes no sense for God to make you sick in
order to send Jesus to take the stripes on his
back for your healing. I mean, just think about it. Logically,
it just doesn't make any sense. And as I said,
(04:48):
if you've had had some one teach you that, then
it's time to wash that thought out of your mind
and understand that sickness is not from God. It is
from Satan and it is designed to take you out. Now,
having said that, how do you get yourself into a
position to believe? Because when you get sick it seems
to be a downer in your entire life. It seems
(05:10):
to just debilitate you and wipe you out. And actually
the Satan is trying to destroy your faith, because if
he can destroy your faith, he has you. Well how
do I stand? You say, how do I stand?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
In faith?
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Well? First of all, you get a point of contact,
and today I can be that point of contact to
help you to release your faith. Now, one of the
sicknesses that I hate, probably more than anything else, is cancer.
When you hear the sea word, it strikes fear, It
strikes terror in people's hearts, and many people think that
(05:43):
it is incurable. Will in some cases it is incurable
medical medically, although they are making great strides medically in
curing cancers, still it is not unhealable. And the reason
I know is because not a week goes by without
me receiving testimonies of people diagnosed with every stage of
(06:04):
cancer imaginable healed by the power of God. Just this week,
I've been receiving testimonies. As a matter of fact, I've
been praying for a woman who is diagnosed with cancer,
longtime friend, and the numbers were going down, down, down.
We've been praying now for oh my goodness, of several months.
Now suddenly we get the word yesterday. Now the numbers
(06:24):
are going up, up, up, and it's changing. I have
another friend, been praying over him and his numbers are
going back up again. We have we have an advocate
with the Father. His name is Jesus, and the Bible
tells us in Philippians that God has given Jesus a
name which is above every name named in heaven and earth.
(06:47):
That means that his name is higher than cancer. And
as I said, we've received so many testimonies of people
healed from cancer, and I want to set my faith
with you now, maybe you have been diagnosed with cancer,
or you have a family member who has been diagnosed
with cancer, or you have a friend who's been diagnosed
(07:09):
with cancer. And you know, most people know somebody who's
had cancer or has cancer in some area of their body.
And I want to set my faith with you, but
before I do, I want to help you to get
into a position to receive my prayer. The Bible says
in Matthew eighteen, if two shall agree on earth as
(07:32):
concerning anything that they shall ask that would include cancer,
that they if they'll ask anything according to the will
of God, it will be done. So therefore we have
a Bible right to speak to cancer, to speak to
Hodgkin's disease, to speak to my loma and melanoma, to
speak to tumors and masses and growths and things of
(07:54):
that nature. We have the authority to speak to stage one,
stage two, stage three, stage four, whatever, stage zillion it is.
We have that Bible right, but we've got to add
our faith to it. It's not just speaking words, although
words are critically important. It's the faith and the prayer
that goes along with it. So I want to pray
over you or anyone that you know diagnosed with cancer,
(08:17):
and what I'd like you to do. I'd like you
to send me a prayer request. If you've been diagnosed
with cancer or you know someone who has, I want
you to contact me and let me know so I
can hold your name or their name and need in
my hands and pray and believe God with you for
a miracle. The Bible says one can put a thousand
to flight, two can put ten thousand to flight. So
(08:40):
right now, in the authority of the name of Jesus,
I come against cancer. Cancer, you are of the devil.
You are sent to steal, to kill, and to destroy
people's lives. Cancer, you foul tormenting cancer. You come out now.
(09:06):
It may be in the breast, It may be in
the brain. It may be in the skin. It may
be in the blood. It may be in the bones,
it may be in some of the area. I speak
now against every tumor, every mass, every growth, you foul
tormenting thing. You come out. You loose God's property. Friend,
(09:27):
you were paid for by the shed blood of Jesus.
You do not belong to the devil. The devil has
no inherent right to put sickness and disease upon you.
I know he's trying. I know he's done it. But
in Jesus' name, I come against that. I set my
faith with you in the authority of Jesus name. Now
I want you to release your faith, let your faith go. Well, Richard,
(09:47):
how do I let my faith go? Just like this father?
In the name of Jesus. I release my faith to you,
and I set my faith in a prayer of agreement
with Richard Roberts concerning cancer. Cancer, you foul tormenting thing.
You loose your grip, and my friend, I send this
word to you, and I remind you of Psalm one
(10:07):
hundred and seven, verse twelve, verse twenty. Excuse me Psalm
one oh seven, verse twenty, which says he sent his
word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.
I send this healing word to you, now, friend, there's
no distance in prayer. God's right here where I am
and is right there where you are. I send that
(10:29):
word to you, just like Jesus did to the Roman
army captain who came to him in the city of
Capernaum concerning his military aid who was up the sea
coast in Tiberius, and Jesus sent the word. He didn't
go lay hands on him. He sent the word, and
the man's military aid was healed at the same hour.
Well that's what I'm doing today. I'm sending the word
(10:49):
to you, and there is nothing that can stop this
word from going forth. I send it to you in
the authority of Jesus' name. I released my faith and
I expect miracles. I expect miracles. That's what Katherine Coolman
used to say. She used to say, I believe in miracles.
And if you visited her gravesite today, which is in
(11:10):
Los Angeles, which I've done a number of times, her
tombstone says Katherine Coolman, I believe in miracles. And I'm
Richard Roberts. I believe in miracles, and more than that,
I believe in miracles for you, I'm Richard Roberts. Join

You know, cancer is one of those things in our
society that can be really scary, I think for people,
because it seems to be one of those sicknesses that, well,
how did you get it? Nobody really knows, you know,
And at the same time, when you get it, it's
usually accompanied with some sort of death sentence for the
most part, or you know, if we don't figure this out,
it's terminal. So it seems like when dealing with dealing
(11:51):
with sickness as it pertains to cancer, it can be
escalated even in the fear arena because it feels like
a death sentence. What do you do do for people
that may be dealing with the cancer diagnosis and are
overwhelmed with the fear even before you stand in faith,
how do you deal with the fear?
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Well, first of all, you have to recognize where fear
comes from. Fear is also from the devil. The Bible
says that God has not given us a spirit of fear,
so we know fear does not come from God. It's
not God given. But instead He has given us a
spirit of power, love and a sound mind. And what
you have to do, and what I've learned how to
do is is say no, Devil, I'm not going to
(12:31):
live in fear. And when cancer strikes the big Sea word,
as you said that, people think, well, it's terminal, my
life is over. But that's not true. You can use
your faith and believe God, and you can expect miracles.
And I've been seeing lots and lots of miracles concerning cancer.
I was telling people last week on the podcast. I
(12:52):
know several people we've been praying for, specifically right here
in the Tulsa area over the past few months, that
are now seeing the number go up instead of going down.
There's the beginning, it's beginning to take hold. But you've
got to pray and believe. You've got to release your faith.
You've got to expect a miracle and say, hey, I'm
not going to allow this thing to defeat me.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
What would you say, or maybe just some tricks of
the trade. What are some of the best ways to
deal with that fear? Do you speak scripture? Do you
say it to your mouth? No devil like? What is
the best way? Or is a little bit of everything?
How do you how do you attack the fear? It's
a little bit to all all of that.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
First of all, I take healing scriptures, every healing scripture
that I can find, and I quote it, I say it,
I speak it. It becomes words to me, and and
words are so powerful. I say it, and I say it,
and I say it. And also I stand against Satan
by saying Satan, no, I am God's property. I don't
belong to you. My body belongs to belongs to God, don't.
(13:48):
I'm not my own. The Bible says I was bought
with a price. The price was the shed blood of
Jesus on Calvary. So so Satan, you don't have any
inherent right in my body. I bind you, I rebuke you,
I curse you, and I command you to take your
hands off of my life. And then I get with
people who are of like faith, and I have them
go into agreement, because the Bible says, if two shall agree,
(14:09):
that's Matthew eighteen. If two shall agree on earth has
concerning anything that they shall ask, including cancer, it shall
be done by my Father in heaven. But I've got
to get in agreement with God's word, and I need
someone with me who will agree with what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
And if you don't have that person, do you ministry?
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Fine? One mony. And that's like the Abundant Life Prayer Group. Somebody.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Whenever you call the Abundant Life Prayer Group, I promise
you our prayer partners are going to stand with you
and agree with you in faith. And that's nine one
eight four nine five seven seven seven seven.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Is it important? To shut out the doubting voices. You
have people that mean well, that say, oh, you know,
people get afraid and they don't know how to deal
with their fear. What do you do with those people?
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Well, I'll tell you a story. When my dad was
diagnosed with tuberculosis when he was seventeen. He was given
a death sentence in nineteen thirty five. He was seventeen
in nineteen thirty five. When someone came down with tuberculosis,
they didn't get well. They didn't have any antibodies, they
didn't have medicines like they have today they can fight tuberculosis.
(15:10):
They gave them a mixture of raw eggs beaten up
in milk. Now, that's okay if you want to make
a cake, but it doesn't do much for tuberculosis. And
my dad's passed. Her from the little church that they attended,
came into my grandparents home and prayed for my dad
and said, Lord, if it be your will heal this boy.
(15:32):
When my grandmother heard that, she ran him out of
the house and said, if you can't pray a healing
prayer for my boy, then don't pray at all. She
put him out of the house and they found an
evangelist by the name of George Munsey, and when he
prayed for my dad, he didn't pray like that. He said,
you foul tormenting tuberculosis. I command you, in the name
(15:55):
of Jesus, come out of this young man, and the
power of God came into my dad's body and he
was healed, proven by the doctors completely. Three doctors had
diagnosed him with full blown tuberculosis. Within moments, the tuberculosis
was completely gone. And it happened because someone took authority
over it and understood the authority they had in Jesus name.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
I know you just said it, but I'm going to
ask you to say it again because there are so
many people that pray those types of prayers that if
it be your will, especially when it comes to healing,
it's almost like they're afraid that the healing may not happen,
so they think if they say if it be your will,
it almost gives a way out that if it doesn't happen,
that okay, God is still in control.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
How should you pray.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I know you just said it, but you've got to
say it again.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
If you've got to pray with authority and you've got
to believe it. You cannot have this if it be
God's will mentality, that's not of God, that's someone trying
to take the pressure off of themselves. You know what
people like me who pray for the sick and see
miracles had to learn years ago. We're not the healer,
not in charge. And when we understand that, then then
(17:04):
I'm free to pray for anything and take authority over
in the name of Jesus and expect my prayers to get.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Through to God exactly, but not.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Not to say if it be your will, because he
said I wish above all things that you prosper and
be in health healing as your soul prospers. So I
know it's his greatest desire for me to be well
and for you as a listener today, he wants you
to be well. It's not no if so maybe so,
I hope. So I know it's his will. And when
you understand that it's not your responsibility to do the healing,
(17:36):
it's your responsibility to pray, then the pressure's off of you.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
My my uncle actually died of cancer when I was young,
and when I talked to my cousin, one of the
things that kind of was a challenge for him as
a child. Is when his dad passed away. There were
people in the church that he would hear them talking.
They didn't know he was listening, but they'd be talking
behind his back and they'd say, you know, he must
have had some hidden sin in his life. That's why
he died of cancer. I know when people experience things
(18:04):
like this, sometimes those thoughts creep in. What have I
done to deserve this? Is this punishment? How do you
deal with those types of things?
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Well, first of all, God doesn't put sickness and disease
of someone to punish them. Now, it's true sometimes people
get involved in things that open doors, but in most
of my experience, sickness comes against people because it's Satan's
will for people to be destroyed. And the idea that
(18:37):
God put this on someone to punish them or there
must have been something wrong in their life is just ludicrous.
And it reminds me of the story in the Book
of Acts when the apostle Paul and two hundred and
seventy some out others were shipwrecked on the island of Malta,
and they were cold, they were wet, they were tired,
they were hungry. They've been out on the water for
(18:57):
days without anything to eat. And Paul began to gather
sticks to build a fire, and there was a snake,
a poisonous snake in the wood. And as he picked
up the wood and got it near the fire, of
the snake, you know, moved, moved and bid him on
the arm, and not only bid him, but it clung
(19:19):
to him. And the people in the island said, well,
he must have he must have done something wrong. You know,
he escaped the sea. But Providence has found him, you know,
and he's going to die because they knew that people
bitten by a snake like that would die. There were
no medicines, nothing they could do. They expected him to
(19:40):
fall down and swell up and die. But the Bible
says that Paul shook it off and felt no harm.
And after a period of time when he didn't die,
the people said, wow, this must be a man of God.
And sure, if it was a man of God, and
you know, it's an interesting thing. Paul stayed on that
island for three months before he was able to continue
his journey on to Rome on another ship. The most
(20:03):
Christianized country in the world today is that island of Malta.
They still have a Saint Paul's Day, They still have
a Saint Paul's Parade every year honoring the life and ministry.
There are more Christians per capita in Malta than any
other nation on earth because of that man's faith and
(20:24):
because he shook that snake off, and the people said,
this must be a man of God. Sickness is not
your friend and it's not punishment from God. Let that
get through your mind.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
There's the scripture that says don't grow weary and well doing.
I think with the journey of believing for healing with cancer,
it can be tiring because it's a journey medically speaking.
So for people that are going through chemo, people having
to be retested, there's a process that they go through,
even and working with doctors while they're believing for healing
(20:59):
and blood counts up and down. Sometimes it's not a
short journey. Sometimes it's a long road to walk. Don't
grow weary and well doing. What are some things that
can help you not get tired in the faith journey.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Well, I think you gave part of the answer. You
have to do everything that you know to do. The
Bible says, having done all to stand, then stand. I
don't think you have a right to stand in faith
unless you have done all that you know to do.
That's why I am very strong on joining prayer and
medicine together. Now, going back to the Apostle Paul again,
(21:35):
if you continue to read in the Book of Acts,
you'll find on that island in Malta where Paul was
praying for the sick and they were being healed, and Luke,
the medical doctor who was a part of his team,
was treating people and they were being cured. So you
had prayer and medicine working together.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Now.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
I know there are some Christians who want all doctors
and no prayer. I know other Christians who want all
prayer and no doctor. I think they're both wrong. I
think we need to take advantage of everything that God
has provided. And the example is Paul and Luke, the
evangelist and the doctor working together. I think there are
different streams of healing that God uses. God works through doctors.
(22:17):
God works through prayer. He works through diet, he works
through climate, he works through exercise, he works through good
health habits, he works through vitamins and supplements, anything that's
good comes from God, and we need to understand to
take advantage of everything that God has. So if something
were to strike me and I would say, no, God,
I'm gonna put one of your hands behind your back.
(22:38):
This is the only way now that you can heal me.
That's cridiculous. I want everything. I always give the example
to people when I get a headache. Sometimes do I
pray and not to take to tadlehol I don't really
care which one works. I thank God for the person
who prays. I thank God for the person who created
the title law. But I give the honor and the
(23:00):
glory of the healing to God.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
He's the source, right, So not being afraid to heed
medical counsel and use modern medicine. At the same time,
I know you would say you have to listen to
the voice of the Holy Spirit, right because there's things
that might not You have to listen to the inward
voice to know what moved to make and what not
to make. At the same time, would you say that absolutely?
Speaker 2 (23:23):
And I was thinking of a woman that I'm aware of, Lindsay,
and I've been friends with her for years, and she
got a bad diagnosis and she prayed and God showed
her what type of treatment, and there are several different
types of treatment available. The Lord showed her which type
of treatment she was to take. Then, in addition, she
wanted healing prayer.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Yeah, right, right, so she sought.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
The Lord even in knowing which type of treatment she
should take.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
I know for me sometimes in times of great stress,
I don't feel like I'm always the best at at
hearing necessarily the voice of God when things.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Are especially when chaotic, and you got to you got
a problem facing.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
You, right, So how do you how do you find
peace in that midst of that chaos to be able
to have an ear to hear.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
That's when I that's when I take hold of that scripture,
be still and know that I am God, that God
has not fallen off the throne. He's the same yesterday,
today and forever, and there is there are times in
my life when I have to say, no, I'm gonna
turn all this off, all the negative off, all the
negative reports. I'm gonna get still with God and I'm
(24:29):
going to look to Him as the author and finisher
of my faith. I don't know God, how You're going
to do this, but I'm releasing my faith for you
to do it, and oftentimes I'll just say, God, I've
released this to you. Now you got mail.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, that's good, that's so true.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Before I wrap up today, I always, first of all,
thank you for letting me ask ask you the tough,
heart hitting questions, because because I think that there's people
out there that these are things that they're asking, that
they're wondering. Before we go, though, would you just lead
us in a prayer, Father.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
And the already of Jesus Name. I pray now for
everyone listening to this podcast. It doesn't matter what the
attack of the devil is. It is an attack and
you need to understand that. And no matter what the
attack is, Jesus Name is higher because God has given
him a name. And we read that in Philippians. God
has given Jesus a name which is above every name
named in heaven and earth. And if that name, every
(25:21):
niche should bow and every tongue confessed that Jesus Christ
is Lord to the glory of God the Father. So
right now, in Jesus name, I come against this satanic attack.
And now may be cancer, It may be your heart,
maybe your blood pressure, maybe your blood sugar. It maybe
your vision, maybe your breathing, maybe your your your your ears,
it may be your stomach, it may be your your pelvis,
(25:41):
it may be your your bones. Not know what it is. Jesus'
name is higher, and in Jesus name, I come against
this satanic attack of the devil. I curse it, I
bind it right now in Jesus' name, and I pray
for your healing. And I'm not coming out of this
prayer of agreement until the mirror comes in Jesus name. Amen, Amen, Amen,

to be whole who l e hold from the crown
of your head to the soles of your feet. I
pray this not in my name, but I pray it

I'm Lindsay Roberts. This is pray dot Com and you're
listening to Pray Radio. Hi everybody, I'm Richard Roberts, and
I believe in expecting miracles. You may not know this,
(00:28):
but back in the early seventies, for several years, I
traveled with Catherine Coolman. I traveled with her across America.
I was on her television program numerous times and also
in quite a number of her meetings. Now, in those days,
I was not yet preaching and praying for the sick,
but she was training me in the healing ministry, and
(00:48):
I learned so much about the healing ministry from her
as well as from my father and how I thank
God for all the training that I had back in
those early early years. I'm involved in the healing ministry.
Of course, we have the Abundant Life Prayer Group nine
one eight four, nine five seven, seven seven seven as
well as of yesterday, I got a new report yesterday,
(01:10):
we received over twenty nine million telephone calls through the
Abundant Life Prayer Group. We're not too far away from
hitting thirty million calls. And I remember I remember in
nineteen fifty eight, I was just ten years old when
my mother, Evelyn Roberts, took the first phone call with
the new Abundant Life Prayer Group. I was in the room.
(01:33):
I remember when the phone rang for the first time
and my mother took the call herself. Well as twenty
nine million telephone calls ago. But I'm deeply, deeply involved
in the healing ministry. Of course, I had good training
under my father, or Roberts, under Katherine Coolman, under Kenneth Hagen,
under brother John Ostein, Joe Ostein's dad, also under Kenneth Copeland.
(01:55):
So many mentors in my life, and how I thank
God for what I've learned about the healing ministry. I
want you to know it's God's will for you to
be will. God gets no glory out of you being sick.
The Bible says that Jesus came to a leper one
day and the leper said to him, you can heal
me if you want to and Jesus replied, I want
(02:17):
to it's my will, and he touched and healed him,
and that forever settled the issue about healing. Third John
two tells us, beloved, I wish above all things that
you prosper and be in health. Now that's healing. Prosper
and be in health even as your soul prospers. That
means that God wants you well in every area of
(02:38):
your life. And I want to talk for a few
minutes today about how to stand in faith against sickness
and disease well. In order to do that, first of all,
you know, you need to identify the enemy. If you
were going out in a warfare, you would first of
all identify your enemy. You'd try to understand your enemy.
In the old days of World War II and other
(02:59):
wars in America has been involved in the generals studied
the generals of the other army. Our remember seeing a
movie about Midway, the Battle of Midway, and how the
Japanese admiral Yamamoto studied the American admirals to understand what
they might or might not do. Well, we need to
(03:21):
understand our enemy. Sickness is an enemy, and the Bible
tells us in John ten ten the thief who's our enemy.
The devil cometh not but for to steal and kill
and destroy, all right, So we understand that sickness is
from the devil, it's not from God. Sickness is not
(03:43):
your friend. Sickness has not been put on you, so
God can teach you a lesson. And if you've heard
that type of teaching in theology, you need to wash
that out. I remember a song from the old musical
South Pacific. I'm going to wash that man right out
out of my hair. Well, you need to wash that
thought right out of your mind. Sickness is not your friend.
(04:05):
Sickness is the enemy. It's the devil coming against you
to take you out. It comes to steal your health,
It comes to kill yourselves, It comes to destroy your
very life. That's what Satan wants to do. So we
need to understand our enemy, our enemy. The Bible says
the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom
(04:26):
he may devour. Sickness is designed by Satan himself to
devour us. So we need to understand we have an enemy.
It's not our friend, and it's not from God. It
makes no sense for God to make you sick in
order to send Jesus to take the stripes on his
back for your healing. I mean, just think about it. Logically,
it just doesn't make any sense. And as I said,
(04:48):
if you've had had some one teach you that, then
it's time to wash that thought out of your mind
and understand that sickness is not from God. It is
from Satan and it is designed to take you out. Now,
having said that, how do you get yourself into a
position to believe? Because when you get sick it seems
to be a downer in your entire life. It seems
(05:10):
to just debilitate you and wipe you out. And actually
the Satan is trying to destroy your faith, because if
he can destroy your faith, he has you. Well how
do I stand? You say, how do I stand?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
In faith?
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Well? First of all, you get a point of contact,
and today I can be that point of contact to
help you to release your faith. Now, one of the
sicknesses that I hate, probably more than anything else, is cancer.
When you hear the sea word, it strikes fear, It
strikes terror in people's hearts, and many people think that
(05:43):
it is incurable. Will in some cases it is incurable
medical medically, although they are making great strides medically in
curing cancers, still it is not unhealable. And the reason
I know is because not a week goes by without
me receiving testimonies of people diagnosed with every stage of
(06:04):
cancer imaginable healed by the power of God. Just this week,
I've been receiving testimonies. As a matter of fact, I've
been praying for a woman who is diagnosed with cancer,
longtime friend, and the numbers were going down, down, down.
We've been praying now for oh my goodness, of several months.
Now suddenly we get the word yesterday. Now the numbers
(06:24):
are going up, up, up, and it's changing. I have
another friend, been praying over him and his numbers are
going back up again. We have we have an advocate
with the Father. His name is Jesus, and the Bible
tells us in Philippians that God has given Jesus a
name which is above every name named in heaven and earth.
(06:47):
That means that his name is higher than cancer. And
as I said, we've received so many testimonies of people
healed from cancer, and I want to set my faith
with you now, maybe you have been diagnosed with cancer,
or you have a family member who has been diagnosed
with cancer, or you have a friend who's been diagnosed
(07:09):
with cancer. And you know, most people know somebody who's
had cancer or has cancer in some area of their body.
And I want to set my faith with you, but
before I do, I want to help you to get
into a position to receive my prayer. The Bible says
in Matthew eighteen, if two shall agree on earth as
(07:32):
concerning anything that they shall ask that would include cancer,
that they if they'll ask anything according to the will
of God, it will be done. So therefore we have
a Bible right to speak to cancer, to speak to
Hodgkin's disease, to speak to my loma and melanoma, to
speak to tumors and masses and growths and things of
(07:54):
that nature. We have the authority to speak to stage one,
stage two, stage three, stage four, whatever, stage zillion it is.
We have that Bible right, but we've got to add
our faith to it. It's not just speaking words, although
words are critically important. It's the faith and the prayer
that goes along with it. So I want to pray
over you or anyone that you know diagnosed with cancer,
(08:17):
and what I'd like you to do. I'd like you
to send me a prayer request. If you've been diagnosed
with cancer or you know someone who has, I want
you to contact me and let me know so I
can hold your name or their name and need in
my hands and pray and believe God with you for
a miracle. The Bible says one can put a thousand
to flight, two can put ten thousand to flight. So
(08:40):
right now, in the authority of the name of Jesus,
I come against cancer. Cancer, you are of the devil.
You are sent to steal, to kill, and to destroy
people's lives. Cancer, you foul tormenting cancer. You come out now.
(09:06):
It may be in the breast, It may be in
the brain. It may be in the skin. It may
be in the blood. It may be in the bones,
it may be in some of the area. I speak
now against every tumor, every mass, every growth, you foul
tormenting thing. You come out. You loose God's property. Friend,
(09:27):
you were paid for by the shed blood of Jesus.
You do not belong to the devil. The devil has
no inherent right to put sickness and disease upon you.
I know he's trying. I know he's done it. But
in Jesus' name, I come against that. I set my
faith with you in the authority of Jesus name. Now
I want you to release your faith, let your faith go. Well, Richard,
(09:47):
how do I let my faith go? Just like this father?
In the name of Jesus. I release my faith to you,
and I set my faith in a prayer of agreement
with Richard Roberts concerning cancer. Cancer, you foul tormenting thing.
You loose your grip, and my friend, I send this
word to you, and I remind you of Psalm one
(10:07):
hundred and seven, verse twelve, verse twenty. Excuse me Psalm
one oh seven, verse twenty, which says he sent his
word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.
I send this healing word to you, now, friend, there's
no distance in prayer. God's right here where I am
and is right there where you are. I send that
(10:29):
word to you, just like Jesus did to the Roman
army captain who came to him in the city of
Capernaum concerning his military aid who was up the sea
coast in Tiberius, and Jesus sent the word. He didn't
go lay hands on him. He sent the word, and
the man's military aid was healed at the same hour.
Well that's what I'm doing today. I'm sending the word
(10:49):
to you, and there is nothing that can stop this
word from going forth. I send it to you in
the authority of Jesus' name. I released my faith and
I expect miracles. I expect miracles. That's what Katherine Coolman
used to say. She used to say, I believe in miracles.
And if you visited her gravesite today, which is in
(11:10):
Los Angeles, which I've done a number of times, her
tombstone says Katherine Coolman, I believe in miracles. And I'm
Richard Roberts. I believe in miracles, and more than that,
I believe in miracles for you, I'm Richard Roberts. Join

Speaker 3 (11:29):
You know, cancer is one of those things in our
society that can be really scary, I think for people,
because it seems to be one of those sicknesses that, well,
how did you get it? Nobody really knows, you know,
And at the same time, when you get it, it's
usually accompanied with some sort of death sentence for the
most part, or you know, if we don't figure this out,
it's terminal. So it seems like when dealing with dealing
(11:51):
with sickness as it pertains to cancer, it can be
escalated even in the fear arena because it feels like
a death sentence. What do you do do for people
that may be dealing with the cancer diagnosis and are
overwhelmed with the fear even before you stand in faith,
how do you deal with the fear?
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Well, first of all, you have to recognize where fear
comes from. Fear is also from the devil. The Bible
says that God has not given us a spirit of fear,
so we know fear does not come from God. It's
not God given. But instead He has given us a
spirit of power, love and a sound mind. And what
you have to do, and what I've learned how to
do is is say no, Devil, I'm not going to
(12:31):
live in fear. And when cancer strikes the big Sea word,
as you said that, people think, well, it's terminal, my
life is over. But that's not true. You can use
your faith and believe God, and you can expect miracles.
And I've been seeing lots and lots of miracles concerning cancer.
I was telling people last week on the podcast. I
(12:52):
know several people we've been praying for, specifically right here
in the Tulsa area over the past few months, that
are now seeing the number go up instead of going down.
There's the beginning, it's beginning to take hold. But you've
got to pray and believe. You've got to release your faith.
You've got to expect a miracle and say, hey, I'm
not going to allow this thing to defeat me.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
What would you say, or maybe just some tricks of
the trade. What are some of the best ways to
deal with that fear? Do you speak scripture? Do you
say it to your mouth? No devil like? What is
the best way? Or is a little bit of everything?
How do you how do you attack the fear? It's
a little bit to all all of that.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
First of all, I take healing scriptures, every healing scripture
that I can find, and I quote it, I say it,
I speak it. It becomes words to me, and and
words are so powerful. I say it, and I say it,
and I say it. And also I stand against Satan
by saying Satan, no, I am God's property. I don't
belong to you. My body belongs to belongs to God, don't.
(13:48):
I'm not my own. The Bible says I was bought
with a price. The price was the shed blood of
Jesus on Calvary. So so Satan, you don't have any
inherent right in my body. I bind you, I rebuke you,
I curse you, and I command you to take your
hands off of my life. And then I get with
people who are of like faith, and I have them
go into agreement, because the Bible says, if two shall agree,
(14:09):
that's Matthew eighteen. If two shall agree on earth has
concerning anything that they shall ask, including cancer, it shall
be done by my Father in heaven. But I've got
to get in agreement with God's word, and I need
someone with me who will agree with what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
And if you don't have that person, do you ministry?
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Fine? One mony. And that's like the Abundant Life Prayer Group. Somebody.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Whenever you call the Abundant Life Prayer Group, I promise
you our prayer partners are going to stand with you
and agree with you in faith. And that's nine one
eight four nine five seven seven seven seven.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Is it important? To shut out the doubting voices. You
have people that mean well, that say, oh, you know,
people get afraid and they don't know how to deal
with their fear. What do you do with those people?
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Well, I'll tell you a story. When my dad was
diagnosed with tuberculosis when he was seventeen. He was given
a death sentence in nineteen thirty five. He was seventeen
in nineteen thirty five. When someone came down with tuberculosis,
they didn't get well. They didn't have any antibodies, they
didn't have medicines like they have today they can fight tuberculosis.
(15:10):
They gave them a mixture of raw eggs beaten up
in milk. Now, that's okay if you want to make
a cake, but it doesn't do much for tuberculosis. And
my dad's passed. Her from the little church that they attended,
came into my grandparents home and prayed for my dad
and said, Lord, if it be your will heal this boy.
(15:32):
When my grandmother heard that, she ran him out of
the house and said, if you can't pray a healing
prayer for my boy, then don't pray at all. She
put him out of the house and they found an
evangelist by the name of George Munsey, and when he
prayed for my dad, he didn't pray like that. He said,
you foul tormenting tuberculosis. I command you, in the name
(15:55):
of Jesus, come out of this young man, and the
power of God came into my dad's body and he
was healed, proven by the doctors completely. Three doctors had
diagnosed him with full blown tuberculosis. Within moments, the tuberculosis
was completely gone. And it happened because someone took authority
over it and understood the authority they had in Jesus name.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
I know you just said it, but I'm going to
ask you to say it again because there are so
many people that pray those types of prayers that if
it be your will, especially when it comes to healing,
it's almost like they're afraid that the healing may not happen,
so they think if they say if it be your will,
it almost gives a way out that if it doesn't happen,
that okay, God is still in control.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
How should you pray.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I know you just said it, but you've got to
say it again.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
If you've got to pray with authority and you've got
to believe it. You cannot have this if it be
God's will mentality, that's not of God, that's someone trying
to take the pressure off of themselves. You know what
people like me who pray for the sick and see
miracles had to learn years ago. We're not the healer,
not in charge. And when we understand that, then then
(17:04):
I'm free to pray for anything and take authority over
in the name of Jesus and expect my prayers to get.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Through to God exactly, but not.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Not to say if it be your will, because he
said I wish above all things that you prosper and
be in health healing as your soul prospers. So I
know it's his greatest desire for me to be well
and for you as a listener today, he wants you
to be well. It's not no if so maybe so,
I hope. So I know it's his will. And when
you understand that it's not your responsibility to do the healing,
(17:36):
it's your responsibility to pray, then the pressure's off of you.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
My my uncle actually died of cancer when I was young,
and when I talked to my cousin, one of the
things that kind of was a challenge for him as
a child. Is when his dad passed away. There were
people in the church that he would hear them talking.
They didn't know he was listening, but they'd be talking
behind his back and they'd say, you know, he must
have had some hidden sin in his life. That's why
he died of cancer. I know when people experience things
(18:04):
like this, sometimes those thoughts creep in. What have I
done to deserve this? Is this punishment? How do you
deal with those types of things?
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Well, first of all, God doesn't put sickness and disease
of someone to punish them. Now, it's true sometimes people
get involved in things that open doors, but in most
of my experience, sickness comes against people because it's Satan's
will for people to be destroyed. And the idea that
(18:37):
God put this on someone to punish them or there
must have been something wrong in their life is just ludicrous.
And it reminds me of the story in the Book
of Acts when the apostle Paul and two hundred and
seventy some out others were shipwrecked on the island of Malta,
and they were cold, they were wet, they were tired,
they were hungry. They've been out on the water for
(18:57):
days without anything to eat. And Paul began to gather
sticks to build a fire, and there was a snake,
a poisonous snake in the wood. And as he picked
up the wood and got it near the fire, of
the snake, you know, moved, moved and bid him on
the arm, and not only bid him, but it clung
(19:19):
to him. And the people in the island said, well,
he must have he must have done something wrong. You know,
he escaped the sea. But Providence has found him, you know,
and he's going to die because they knew that people
bitten by a snake like that would die. There were
no medicines, nothing they could do. They expected him to
(19:40):
fall down and swell up and die. But the Bible
says that Paul shook it off and felt no harm.
And after a period of time when he didn't die,
the people said, wow, this must be a man of God.
And sure, if it was a man of God, and
you know, it's an interesting thing. Paul stayed on that
island for three months before he was able to continue
his journey on to Rome on another ship. The most
(20:03):
Christianized country in the world today is that island of Malta.
They still have a Saint Paul's Day, They still have
a Saint Paul's Parade every year honoring the life and ministry.
There are more Christians per capita in Malta than any
other nation on earth because of that man's faith and
(20:24):
because he shook that snake off, and the people said,
this must be a man of God. Sickness is not
your friend and it's not punishment from God. Let that
get through your mind.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
There's the scripture that says don't grow weary and well doing.
I think with the journey of believing for healing with cancer,
it can be tiring because it's a journey medically speaking.
So for people that are going through chemo, people having
to be retested, there's a process that they go through,
even and working with doctors while they're believing for healing
(20:59):
and blood counts up and down. Sometimes it's not a
short journey. Sometimes it's a long road to walk. Don't
grow weary and well doing. What are some things that
can help you not get tired in the faith journey.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Well, I think you gave part of the answer. You
have to do everything that you know to do. The
Bible says, having done all to stand, then stand. I
don't think you have a right to stand in faith
unless you have done all that you know to do.
That's why I am very strong on joining prayer and
medicine together. Now, going back to the Apostle Paul again,
(21:35):
if you continue to read in the Book of Acts,
you'll find on that island in Malta where Paul was
praying for the sick and they were being healed, and Luke,
the medical doctor who was a part of his team,
was treating people and they were being cured. So you
had prayer and medicine working together.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Now.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
I know there are some Christians who want all doctors
and no prayer. I know other Christians who want all
prayer and no doctor. I think they're both wrong. I
think we need to take advantage of everything that God
has provided. And the example is Paul and Luke, the
evangelist and the doctor working together. I think there are
different streams of healing that God uses. God works through doctors.
(22:17):
God works through prayer. He works through diet, he works
through climate, he works through exercise, he works through good
health habits, he works through vitamins and supplements, anything that's
good comes from God, and we need to understand to
take advantage of everything that God has. So if something
were to strike me and I would say, no, God,
I'm gonna put one of your hands behind your back.
(22:38):
This is the only way now that you can heal me.
That's cridiculous. I want everything. I always give the example
to people when I get a headache. Sometimes do I
pray and not to take to tadlehol I don't really
care which one works. I thank God for the person
who prays. I thank God for the person who created
the title law. But I give the honor and the
(23:00):
glory of the healing to God.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
He's the source, right, So not being afraid to heed
medical counsel and use modern medicine. At the same time,
I know you would say you have to listen to
the voice of the Holy Spirit, right because there's things
that might not You have to listen to the inward
voice to know what moved to make and what not
to make. At the same time, would you say that absolutely?
Speaker 2 (23:23):
And I was thinking of a woman that I'm aware of, Lindsay,
and I've been friends with her for years, and she
got a bad diagnosis and she prayed and God showed
her what type of treatment, and there are several different
types of treatment available. The Lord showed her which type
of treatment she was to take. Then, in addition, she
wanted healing prayer.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Yeah, right, right, so she sought.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
The Lord even in knowing which type of treatment she
should take.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
I know for me sometimes in times of great stress,
I don't feel like I'm always the best at at
hearing necessarily the voice of God when things.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Are especially when chaotic, and you got to you got
a problem facing.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
You, right, So how do you how do you find
peace in that midst of that chaos to be able
to have an ear to hear.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
That's when I that's when I take hold of that scripture,
be still and know that I am God, that God
has not fallen off the throne. He's the same yesterday,
today and forever, and there is there are times in
my life when I have to say, no, I'm gonna
turn all this off, all the negative off, all the
negative reports. I'm gonna get still with God and I'm
(24:29):
going to look to Him as the author and finisher
of my faith. I don't know God, how You're going
to do this, but I'm releasing my faith for you
to do it, and oftentimes I'll just say, God, I've
released this to you. Now you got mail.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, that's good, that's so true.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Before I wrap up today, I always, first of all,
thank you for letting me ask ask you the tough,
heart hitting questions, because because I think that there's people
out there that these are things that they're asking, that
they're wondering. Before we go, though, would you just lead
us in a prayer, Father.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
And the already of Jesus Name. I pray now for
everyone listening to this podcast. It doesn't matter what the
attack of the devil is. It is an attack and
you need to understand that. And no matter what the
attack is, Jesus Name is higher because God has given
him a name. And we read that in Philippians. God
has given Jesus a name which is above every name
named in heaven and earth. And if that name, every
(25:21):
niche should bow and every tongue confessed that Jesus Christ
is Lord to the glory of God the Father. So
right now, in Jesus name, I come against this satanic attack.
And now may be cancer, It may be your heart,
maybe your blood pressure, maybe your blood sugar. It maybe
your vision, maybe your breathing, maybe your your your your ears,
it may be your stomach, it may be your your pelvis,
(25:41):
it may be your your bones. Not know what it is. Jesus'
name is higher, and in Jesus name, I come against
this satanic attack of the devil. I curse it, I
bind it right now in Jesus' name, and I pray
for your healing. And I'm not coming out of this
prayer of agreement until the mirror comes in Jesus name. Amen, Amen, Amen,

your physical body. I rebuke every sickness. I rebuke every disease.
I rebuke anything that has come against you. In the
authority of Jesus name, I bind it and commanded to cease.
In the name of the Lord. I pray for you
in every area of your life. I pray for you

to be whole who l e hold from the crown
of your head to the soles of your feet. I
pray this not in my name, but I pray it
in Jesus' name. A men and a men. If you
