(01:05):
we go.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Hey, everybody, this is Michelle Jackson and I want to
minister to you today regarding letting God do the new
thing in your life, Isaiah forty three nineteen says, behold,
I am doing a new thing. Now it springs forth.
Do you not perceive it? I will make a way

(01:30):
in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. I love
this passage of scripture because it really provokes a posture
of faith and prophetic vision from us. Because the Lord's saying, behold,
I'm doing a new thing. It doesn't say I'm going
to do a new thing. It doesn't say I'm preparing
to do a new thing. It says I'm doing it.

(01:51):
And when God begins to speak and says that He's
going to do something and that he is doing it,
it's not for us to question. Is to get on board, right,
And the word of the Lord says, now it springs forth,
do you not perceive it? And so we have to
have eyes of faith and begin to perceive not with

(02:13):
not just with our natural senses, but also with our
spiritual senses about the will of God and the work
of God. And he's saying, I will make a way.
I will make a pathway in the wilderness. Some versions
say the desert he'll make rivers in the desert, right.
And so here we're seeing that God has the ability

(02:35):
to make a way out of no way and to
make something bloom that isn't even meant to be in
a certain ecosystem in our opinion, but for a beauty
and a supernatural grace to come through these kind of circumstances.
And so what I want to talk to you today

(02:56):
about is letting God to the new thing. You know,
so much of our perception is based on our mentality.
Our mentality that is basically circles around the things that
we think we know well. And when God says that
he wants to do something new, he's talking about something distinct,
something different. The Bible tells us and teaches us that

(03:19):
we can't put a new wine in old wine skins.
Otherwise the old wine skin overst. So when God says
he wants to do something new, he wants to bring
something forth that is of his pleasure, of his design,
of his goodness.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
That's new.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
And let's be honest today, Like change is strange, right,
It's not something that as human beings we enjoy. It's
not something that we necessarily naturally like lean into. Is saying,
oh my goodness, yes, brand new. Well, maybe a brand
new house or a brand new car. Right, if that
were free, we would say yes, brand new new everything,

(03:55):
change everything God, right, if it fits our model, right
of what we imagine. But when God says I'm gonna
do something new, everything that he created in the seven
days of creation he said was good and he blessed it.
And so sometimes when we when we hear the words, Okay,

(04:16):
I'm gonna be doing something new, we have to start
to begin to attach our faith that it's gonna be good,
it's gonna be blessed, it's gonna be of God's heart
and design, and I'm gonna be satisfied in it. Come on,
He knows us, he knows the plans that he has
for us. And when the Lord begins to say I'm
doing something new, we need to say, Okay, God, I'm

(04:38):
gonna let you do it. So God is calling forth
his church and calling us through this pruning season. Come on,
We've seen a lot of things happen within the body
of Christ. We've seen a lot of pruning over these
last few years. And when pruning seasons come, they come
the Lord cuts back things that are unfruitful. He cuts

(04:59):
back things that would cause future damage or stunted growth,
and he cuts back the things that are not bearing fruit.
And so it's important for us to recognize that when
as a church and the Body of Christ worldwide, as
we've come through this pruning season, this fiery season of testing,

(05:20):
the Lord has already begun to do something new in
just the pruning process. So let's let him do it.
You know, the purpose of pruning is to cause greater
fruit to come forth, more quality fruit to come forth,
and for the things that would cause stagnation or even disease,
for plants to be cut off so that health and

(05:42):
growth can come forward. So many times when we feel
like we've been cut back or we've been cut off,
we see the lack, we see what's missing. But every
time God prunes us and he causes those the pruning
process to begin, it's because he sees destiny. He sees
a new thing, he sees a new season of bearing fruit.

(06:04):
So come on, we have to start acting like and
believing like and living like the new thing is going
to be better than the old thing. I remember, especially
in our church, like the greeting process obviously being the
biological child of someone is totally different from them being
your spiritual person, your spiritual father, your spiritual leader, whatever

(06:27):
that title.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
You want to give them. It's a distinction.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
I'm going to say that on behalf of Pastor's families everywhere.
It's not the same thing. We let you love our families.
We appreciate that you love and esteem our families, but
it's not the same type of grief.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
It's just not.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
And I just say that, and I hold space for
every every family that has had who's allowed their loved
one to be shared, and people don't get that. So
I hold space for you in this moment. But I
remember when my father first passed a way, there was
just so much pressure, even from some of the leaders,

(07:03):
to try to maintain things the way they were. Come on,
we get afraid when God says he wants to do
a new thing, or even when the Lord said to Joshua,
most of my servant is dead. Now is the time
to arise and go into the promised land. Come on.
Our natural instinct is to get scared and to say, oh,
my goodness. But the Lord said to Joshua, just like

(07:24):
he's saying to his pruned church, today, it's time to
go in, be bold and courageous, be strong and courageous,
and go in and inhabit the land. And so for
me and that for those first early days, there was
so much going on within the family.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
But it was time to get back to that place
of prayer.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
I just the Lord just gave me such a clear
vision when my father passed away, of just Isaac and
scripture redigging the wells of his father, and just me
redigging the well of intercession in our church. And we
just began to seek God. We begin and morning prayer
at that time, we would get up and we would
just begin to pray in the Holy Ghost. We'd pray

(08:07):
in English, we'd pray Scripture. We'd gather Tuesday through Friday.
And these prayer meetings are still going and they begin
to break open and open a supernatural dynamic and miracles
in our church. And so we've seen because of the
results of this two year prayer meeting, this two year
pressing into the new thing, we've seen so many people

(08:30):
in our church be promoted in their jobs to have
financial breakthrough. We've literally seen lives turned around financially. Circumstances change,
people get homes that couldn't get homes, like so many
miracles that only God could do, cancer being reversed, things
like kidney failure being reversed. So many supernatural things have

(08:53):
come from investing in the new things. So I just
want to ask you today, like, what are you waiting for?
If God is saying to you today, if the word
of the Lord, and I believe the word of the
Lord over you today is behold, I am doing a
new thing. What are you waiting for? Why are you
don't halt between two opinions? If God is true, serve

(09:13):
him right? And what are we waiting for? Let's get
in on what God wants to do. So I want
to encourage you from Ephesians to ten, for we are
God's handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works
which God prepared in advance for us to do. Wow.
So here's the thing. When God says he's going to
do a new thing and it's springing forth, do you

(09:36):
not perceive it? He's giving us an invitation to start
to see what he's doing, how he's moving from our
vantage point, and to agree with him that it's good
and that it's also the good works that He prepared
for us to participate in with him from the beginning
of the world. I know, sometimes, like at least in

(10:00):
our church, we have a lot of prophetic ministry, personal
preetic ministry, and sometimes the things that God says about
our lives astound us, their invitations into a future that
we didn't see for ourselves. And I mean, let's be honest,
I was that same way. But I want you to
do something bold and something different, to believe that what

(10:21):
God is speaking over your life the new thing that
He wants to do, even though you may not be
able to perceive it. That you stretch yourself and you say, God,
give me eyes to see how how you want to
move in my life, and make space, make groom in
your heart for God's handiwork to come forth, for who

(10:43):
you were destined to be from the foundation of the world,
for the things that He's called you to do to
be established, and for the thing that He prepared in
advance for you to do, for that to be a
desire of your heart. We don't I mean, honestly, we
don't have to have full perspective on what's coming. You know,
that's control that says that control, says, I have to know,

(11:04):
I have to understand, I have to be able to
hold it with my hands. But God knows he has
a full perspective of the terrain. He has a whole
perspective of our lives. And as we assume that posture
of surrender, we assume that posture of faith, we assume
that posture of obedience and say, God, I believe you.
I believe that you have called me for such a

(11:26):
time as this. I believe you got this. I'm gonna
go where you lead, and I know it's for your
glory and my good. As we begin to do that,
the Lord is able to begin to make a way.
So I love that song Waymaker by Sinach. Oh my goodness,
that song Waymaker, miracle Worker, Promise keeper, light in the darkness.

(11:49):
That's who you are. But can I be honest with you?
Sometimes we're in the middle of him making away. Oh
I know, because he's like, behold, I'm gonna do a
new thing. Can you not perceive it? I'm gonna make
a way, And we're like, not right here, You're not.
Because I want everything to remain the same. Because I
feel comfortable in this season, I feel good about this season.

(12:11):
Do you see the victories I've had? Do you see
the awards I've gotten? Do you see I finally have
a sense of accomplishment and I have friends, and I
have this and I have that, and whatever it is
for you, we get right in the middle of the way.
And I just want you to want you to know
that whatever you're holding on to you that's standing in

(12:33):
the way of God doing the new thing, what He's
bringing to you, is so much better, so much grander,
so much greater than what you've been to in this point,
Like you've not experienced all that God has for your life.
You know, I hasn't seen, nor ear has heard, nor
has it entered into the heart of man, what God
has for those who love him.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
And so right.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Now, you know, I want you to get out of
the way so the waymaker can make the way right.
I want you to get out of your own way
so that God can begin to do the new thing
that He's promised to bring forth in your life. Now
is not the time to be in the way. Now
is the time to allow Him to lead and for

(13:18):
him to do it, To let him do it, to
let God arise afresh and anew in your heart afresh
and a new in your life, and let him cause
his purpose to come alive in your heart. You know,
so many people would ask me, you know, when my
dad passed away, how is it for you? I know

(13:38):
this is so hard, and we know you're just starting out.
And so if you need prayer, if you need something,
you know, be We're here for you and this and that,
and there is a place for fellowship. But there's also
a place in surrender that I have found where God
carries you because his yoke is easy and his burden
is light, and so He's able to empower you to

(14:01):
do beyond your own ability, and to be able to
stand even in the places of brokenness, of grief and
all of those things, to be able to accomplish His
ordained purpose, you know. And so sometimes the reason that
we don't see that strength coming upon us, that that
presence of the Lord, like what it looks like to

(14:22):
be carried. We don't see that because we're letting people
rescue us from places where God is trying to take
us right. And so I just want to encourage you
to just use desermment in this time to make sure
that those people that are in your life as the
Lord begins to breathe on you, as you begin to

(14:42):
agree with him about the new things that he wants
to spring forth now in your life, and the new
things that he wants to bring in that you're open to,
just trusting him, full out, flat out, with no hesitation,
no reservation, saying God, I'm your handiwork, I'm your poema,
I'm your masterpiece. I am a work in progress. But

(15:03):
you created me in Christ Jesus to do good works.
And those things for which you prepared me for, those
things which you have ordain for me in this season,
those things that you that you knew before I was
nit in my mother's womb, Those are the things that
I want to be involved in. Those are the places
and spaces that I want to be desiring to be in.

(15:25):
I want my heart to beat with the same desires
that your heart beats for. As we do that, we're
going to see the Lord carry us into places and
spaces that only God can make away. And he will
far exceed the expectations of man. He will use the
foolish things that confound the wise. He will cause you
to prosper, and he will cause you to walk into

(15:45):
very promises that He has declared for your season. This
is so good because God is faithful to his word.
So let him do it. Let him create a new
thing in your life. Life, And even though strange change
can be strange, let's do the thing that God is

(16:06):
saying that he wants to do. Let's disagree with him
and say, God, you know, if you're calling me in
the ministry, if you're calling me into a new career path,
if you're calling me out of this relationship and you're
calling me into this other circle, or you're calling me
from this place, you're calling me to relocate. God, I
trust you, and I trust that you're going to cause

(16:28):
the ways to be made and for the river to
flow in my life. I want to pray with you
because it takes bold faith to act on what God
has said and for him to do the work in
your heart to make you ready. You know, sometimes our heart,
our heart isn't prepared, and so right now I want

(16:49):
you to take some time to prepare your heart. God
has already said he wants to do a new thing.
He's declaring a direction for your life. He's setting a direction.
He's speaking clearly, and he's saying this is the way, daughter,
this is the way, son walking in it. That's the
voice of wisdom. And we've got to have a heart
that's prepared to say, Okay, Lord, nevertheless, not my will,

(17:11):
but your will be done. You know, even Jesus, you know,
in the garden of Gethsemane, he trace what drops the blood.
The Bible says, because it was heavy the thing that
God had asked him to do, and he prayed, nevertheless,
let your will be done. And so we've got to
get to that nevertheless prayer. You know, sometimes our heart

(17:33):
is not prepared for what God is asking. But we've
got to press in. We've got to press into the
place of prayer. We've got to press into the place
where we have a heart change. We have a heart
change where we begin to want the thing that God
wants and we begin to want to be the vessel
that he would use. And so I'm coming for your
heart today. Let's pray, Father, in the name of Jesus.

(17:58):
I just thank you for everyone who's listening today, and
I just thank you that you have declared that you're
doing a new thing and that it's springing up. Lord,
we just thank you even for how you've preserved us
even in the midst of like all of the changes
that have happened, all the things we've seen politically, the
leaders we've seen removed the church, the church, the status

(18:19):
of your church. God, we thank you that even in
the midst of this, that you've preserved us. And even
though you have sovereignly pruned and cut things back, God,
you have let us know that you're up to something good,
you're up to something great, and that you are doing
a new thing. So Father, I pray in the name
of Jesus, that you would open our eyes to see

(18:43):
that there is purpose in your pruning. God, that you
expect new fruit, a season of bearing new fruit, a
season of increase to be coming forth in the days ahead.
And so Lord, we thank you that you create in
us a new heart. Today, Lord, we just submit to you,
a friend, gry.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
We repent.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
We just come before you, and we just repent. We
ask Lord that you would cleanse us from the heart
that desires other things than what you want. The desires
thinks of the past, the old way, things that even
of us getting in the way. God, we just repent today,
and we say, Lord, let us not be a hindrance
to what you want to do. Lord, we just remove

(19:21):
ourselves even as a hindrance or an obstacle to you
moving and arising in us in a fresh, in a
new way. And Lord, we just thank you that your
purpose will be will be fulfilled in our lives. And Lord,
I thank you that you've created us a new heart.
You created us a right spirit, and you created us
a clean heart that wants to honor you and will

(19:42):
lead where and will follow where you lead. We thank
you for it in Jesus name.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Amen, Thank you for listening.
