Speaker 1 (00:01):
Coming up today on the Hope Connection.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
I believe that in this generation there is a revival
that can happen in urban America, just if they'll turn
themselves around. Does that make any sense? They got churches
on over every corner. We got churches all over America.
The problem is we're teaching the wrong things.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Sometime, y'all with me.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Part of the problem is that the family break down.
I hear people saying, well, the problem in the block
community or Hispanic community is the breaking down of families.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Fathers aren't there.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
That sounds righteous, but that's not true. The blessing of
God is missing. And when fathers are faithful, they release blessing.
When you follow principles of righteousness, you release blessing. You're
hearing the subtle distinction. It's not a structure. Is about
the preservation of God.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
So what can we do about that? Does your family
need some change? Through today's message with Bishop Harry Jackson,
you'll understand what you can do to be the catalyst.
But before we get started with today's message, following the
passing of my mother and father in twenty eighteen and
twenty twenty, the whole connection will continue. The ministry that
(01:25):
God gave my parents, Bishop Harry R. Jackson and doctor
Vivian M. Jackson over forty years ago. Our daily mission
remains the same. Our anointing and conviction continue as we
preach and teach the Word of God. Thank you for
listening today and I look forward to helping you grow
in Christ. Now prepare your heart for the second part
of Bishop Harry Jackson's message, let my people go.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
We're sitting in the kingdom of the most powerful of
the descendants of David. Do you know who his name is?
His name is Jesus. Jesus is a descendant of that
line and the other line, Jerebaum is somebody who made
(02:13):
up a false religion, energized by dnemonic power, and he
thought he can wrestle for authority by a satantically inspired plan.
And that army has been fighting. And even in our
families there a set of attitudes, actions, habits, things that
(02:35):
we define ourselves by that have not been burst out
of the kingdom, but they've been birthed out of darkness.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Realm, are y'all still with me. Let's look at six of.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
These twenty four Bible counts. Isaiah forty three twenty seven,
just listen, your first forefathers sinned, and your spokesmen have
transgressed against me.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Who is the first forefather? His name was Adam.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Exitus twenty verse five says you shall not worship them
or serve them, for I were speaking about other gods.
For I the Lord, your God, am a shout god,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children on
the third and fourth generations of those that hate me.
(03:32):
So those re line with Jared Bauam, with darkness, with Satan,
with all kind of evil. Who got all kind of
stuff following down your family tree. Hey, I've got alcoholics
and crack addicts in my family, what about yours?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Some of y'all are related to Jesse James, and I
won't give.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
You any obscure Western references. You know, I'm a Western fictionado,
but we got outlaws mixed in with our in laws.
Come on, somebody, and God says, for those who hate me,
I visit to three or four generations the recourse the
(04:15):
impact of their sin. I'm a holy God, I said
sixty five seven says both their iniquities, both their own
iniquities rather and the iniquities of their fathers together says
the Lord, because they have burned incense on the mountains
(04:36):
and scorned me on the hills. Therefore I will measure
their former work into their bosom. That verse simply says,
because your worship of the gods sold out to them,
I'm going to take your personal sin and the sin
of your forefathers and spank.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
You to you wake up. That was the Jackson interpretation.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Jeremiah thirty one twenty nine says, in those days they
shall they will not say again, the fathers have eaten
sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Listen to that two phrases.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children the
descendants the children under the third and fourth generational judgment,
the children have been exposed to things that have created
appetites for dark things, appetites for things that are counter
(05:40):
the worship of God and the holiness that we're to
walk in before the Lord or y'all with me.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Because of what the fathers did and.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
How they lived, they have created in the spirit, realm
and appetite and appealed and attraction for a magnetic.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Pull unto darkness instead of light.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
And that is working over some of our families right now,
and it looks like we can never get away from
that little twist of character that makes a lot of
my family members liars and thieves and crookes and wanna
be pimps and hustlers and anybody know what I'm talking
about out there. All, don't act like you don't know
(06:21):
what I'm saying. Some of y'all, you could you change
your name? Hallelujah.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Look at Ezekiel eighteen to two.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
It says this, what do you mean by using the
proverb concerning the land of Israel saying the fathers eat
the sour grapes, but the children's teeth are set on edge.
That's that same statement I just read you in another
passage of scripture, reminding us that the natural course of
(06:54):
things is when Mama and Papa have walked in rebellion.
But I've already walked in rebellion some years in my life.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
It gives a model, It gives.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
A pattern for the generations that come behind me to
follow the pattern of darkness. But it's more than just
a pattern that is energized by men. It's a pattern
that often is energized by that force of darkness, that
demoic intrigue, that binding, controlling force of darkness that's at
(07:32):
work in our world. But I've got good news for you.
Jesus can break that power. So it's important for us
to understand that the Lord is saying also that he
will release his blessings to a thousand generations. Let's look
(08:01):
turning your Bible. Exodus chapter twenty, Exodus Chapter twenty Amen,
Exodus Exodus. It's an old Tessamond Exodus chapter twenty right
behind nineteen Exodus Chapter twenty, Glory to God. And I
(08:21):
want you to look at verse five and six. We
already were read five right that he's visiting five b
the iniquity of the fathers among the children, to the
third and fourth generation of them that hate me, them
that move in rebellion against me.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Y'all got it.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
But verse six is where we're going to look and
showing mercy to thousands of them that love me and
keep my commandments. NIV says, to one thousand generations, not
just a thousand. So if I've been moving with the
army of rebellion, the impact is too three or four generations.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Joe, got it.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
But the faithful have an opportunity to put into effect
the law that will released blessing to a thousand generations.
Three or four generations is a lot shorter than a
thousand generations, wouldn't you say, even if you think I'm
(09:33):
wrong with my interpretation, three or four generations would never
add up to a thousand years at the least, but
a thousand generations if a generation is forty years.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
So it's almost that we've got a choice.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Which power are we going to let have access to
our family and our family tree in our or Now,
y'all stay with me. Now this concept, you realize it's
actually seen, excuse me, in culture as well as in
(10:13):
the Bible. Euripides in four eighty five to four h
six BC said this, the gods visit the sins of
the fathers upon the children.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
That sounds just like the Bible. But he didn't have
access to the Bible. He didn't know nothing about it.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Horace said this, for the sins of your father's, you,
though guiltless, must suffer. In other words, you inherited from jump.
Shakespeare said this in the Merchant of Venice, the sins
of the father are to be laid upon the children
(11:01):
modern literature. In nineteen twelve there's a book called The
Sins of the Father. It was a romance to the South,
but the title was taken from those scriptural references. Also,
you find that nineteen ninety one there was a book
(11:22):
titled The Sins of the Father by a man named
William Wright.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
You'll find this one interesting.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Nineteen ninety six there's another book called the Sins of
the Father, but it's about the father of one of
our famous presidents, The Sins of the Father, Colon Joseph P.
Kennedy and the Dynasty. He found it interesting. I wish
(11:49):
had time to deviate and talk about that book for
a minute what it was about. Then in the occult realm,
we have Pirates of the Caribbean. Jack Barroh Sins of
the Father, two thousand and seven novel. Anybody heard the
Pirates of the Caribbean.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
I know you have.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
So what can cleanse the sins of the Father? Well,
I believe first thing is repentance. Now I've only got
a few minutes to go. Can you rock with me
pretty fast? Three people can go with me to rest.
You'll we'll catch you on the other side. Near Maiah,
Chapter one, Verse five and eight says this there is
(12:32):
a repentance by family or someone of standing that has
to be offered in order to break the power of
that three or four generational pull of darkness, punishment and judgment.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
In other words, if God lifts his hands.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
From you, that's all He's got to do in terms
of judgment in order to let the devil get at you.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Are you with me?
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Kiah one five through eight says this is the words
of Niimiah. Then I said, Lord, the God of Heaven,
the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of
love with those who love him and keep his commandments.
Let your ear be attentive and your eye open to
hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day
(13:24):
and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I
confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father's family,
have committed against you. Listen in verse seven. We have
acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands,
(13:49):
he decrees and laws that you gave your servant, Moses.
Remember the instruction you gave your servant, Moses, saying, if
you are faith unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations.
And so this man said, God, I repent, and I
(14:14):
believe that you can turn this thing around. And it
was turned around. God began to rebuild a city. Anybody
have a coin, but Brian, you have a coin. No
one has a coin. I called him out, called the
wrong man out. Have a coin?
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Thank you? Interesting. Hopefully I won't drop this coin.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Years ago in college I was in a play. In
the play so Shakespearean play, and memorize all these lines.
I was supposed to do something with a knife stage
in life. I practiced and practice and practice to flip
that knife around and catch it a certain way. And
(15:05):
I was nervous. I don't know what happened, but I
could do it in rehearsal. Every time I got on
the stage throw a knife up, the boom fell to
the ground.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
So that will not happen with this coin. Hallelujah.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
But this coin, I'm gonna throw this to somebody in
a minute, see whether you can catch it. This coin
represents relationship with God. Once I commit and submit myself
to the Lord in terms of blessing and cursing. Like
a parent, a parent has authority to lift you up
(15:44):
or to take you down, to punish you, or to
bless you anyway with me. And so what we're dealing
with is that if God says I no longer protect you,
Satan can have at you. And what Maya was smart
enough to do in his prayer was to say, if
it feels like the curse is still working the bad
(16:10):
side of the coin, guess what the blessing is just
one flip away.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Yeah, I don't know if y'all they.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Didn't look like they got it over here, or you're
what I'm saying. What niam I recognize is that God's
providential hand is still working over their family, their tribe,
their nation. And because he saw the spanking, he realized
the only thing that had to happen was that he
needs to shift his attitude and repent before God. And
(16:41):
if he did, all of a sudden, the blessing.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Would kick in to play. Do you realize that? Now?
Want you to listen to me.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
I believe that in this generation there is a revival
that can happen in urban and Maria, just if they'll
turn themselves around.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Does that make any sense?
Speaker 2 (17:08):
They got churches on over every corner, We got churches
all over America. The problem is we're teaching the wrong things.
Sometime you're with me. Part of the problem is that
the family break down. I hear people saying, well, the
problem in the block community or Hispanic community is breaking
down or family fathers aren't there. That sounds righteous, but
(17:32):
that's not true. The blessing of God is missing. And
when fathers are faithful, they release blessing. When you follow
principles of righteousness, you release blessing. You're hearing the subtle distinction.
It's not about structure. It's about the preservation of God.
It's not about your political ideas or your economic ideology.
(17:58):
It's about the blessing of God, God versus rebellion preventing
God from intervening and interacting.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Right.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
See, the God can restore the years of the Kaka
worm and caterpillar of Eden. God can take your messed
up stuff and cause it to manifest. Gracious blessing multiply
you back to beyond where you were before if you
just cry out to the True and Living God and
(18:28):
enter into his way. So I don't care what the
sins of your father were. If you've got the right
persons of authority to repent.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
You can bless your family.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
If you're a child from your generation down, you can
see God bless you, and everybody goes now. You may
not be able to bless up mom and Dad, they
may have lived most of their life, but everything that's
under your authority down you can bless. I close with
(19:05):
this and enter into a time of prayer. I'll never
forget coming home from school one day when I was
in graduate school, seeing my late wife weeping in our apartment.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
And making a declaration that the.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Curse that was on her family was not going to
be on our children and on our family line.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
What a statement to say, Well, why was that so important?
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Well, Michelle wasn't born yet, Elizabeth wasn't born yet. She
was thinking about the life that she had lived, and
God had given her a revelation of a promise, and
she said, before they were even thought of, before or
she was pregnant with either one of them, she said,
(20:04):
this way that I've lived kind of under, the curse
doesn't have to continue down my family line.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
I'm gonna reverse it.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
I can't do anything about Grandma and them. I can't
undo the way they've lived. I can't ideal the ideas
they have. But I can move myself and my household
to a new dimension of life, love and liberty under.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
The anointing of God, because that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
But also, you can come under the mantle of the
House of God. There's a mantle that's on this house
that you can come under. There's a mantle to pray,
to worship. There's a mantle of the prophetic. There's a
mantle of the supernatural.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
That you can say.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
No longer am I going to live in defeat and underbundance.
I'm going to rise up by faith and grab a
hold of my inheritance. Oh God, give me the mantle,
the anointing, the lineage, the inheritance that you've ordained for me. God,
(21:14):
don't turn your back on me. I'm gonna pray until
something breaks in the spirit realm. I'm going to cry
out until light comes and shines where dunkness seemed to
be manifest.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
I'm going to smite the.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Ground until Almighty God desjoys my enemy. I'm gonna rise
up and she's a name, and she's a name, and
she's a name.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Thanks for joining us today. I want you to be
empowered with hope and destiny through the Word, worship and prayer,
so don't miss next time with the Hope Connection.
