Speaker 1 (00:04):
Many will say to me on that day, Lord Lord,
did we not prophesy in your name? And your name
cast out demons? And in your name do all of
these mighty works? And I will declare to them, I
never knew you depart from me. That verse isn't talking
about unbelievers. It's talking about people who used his name

(00:25):
without ever knowing his heart. See. God never intended his
name to be a formula. He meant it to be
a fellowship. When he revealed his name to Moses in
Exodus thirty four, he didn't just say I am, He
said the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, slow

(00:48):
to anger, abounding and loving, kindness and truth. In other words, Moses,
my name reveals my nature.

Speaker 2 (00:59):

All right, let's jump into today's episode. Here's Rachel.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Every miracle, every healing, every deliverance and scripture flows from
people who didn't just call on his name. They trusted
his character. We live in a culture that loves to
use names for influence. We name drop for connections, brand recognition,
and validation. But in the Kingdom, God doesn't move through association.

(02:06):
He moves through alignment. That's why when the disciples ask
Jesus teach us to pray, he began with relationship, not
request our Father. He was teaching them you can't use
my name if you don't know my nature. You can't

(02:26):
represent someone you don't resemble. When you carry his name,
you're not just invoking a title. You're representing a reputation.
And God will never let his name be attached to
something that misrepresents his heart. That's why one of the
Ten Commandments says you shall not take the name of

(02:47):
the Lord your God in vain. We've often reduced that
to mean don't cuss, but in Hebrew, the word take
literally means to carry. God was saying, don't carry my
name carelessly. Don't wear the badge if you won't honor
the character behind it. There's a story in Acts nineteen

(03:11):
about the seven Sons of Skiva, Jewish exorcists who tried
to imitate Paul. They walked into a house, faced a
demon possessed man and said, in the name of Jesus,
whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out. But
the demon answered Jesus I know, and Paul, I know,
but who are you? And the man with the evil

(03:34):
spirit jumped on them, beat them and sent them running out,
naked and wounded. That's what happens when people try to
use the name without relationship. Hell knows the difference between
repetition and revelation. The demon recognized Jesus because he's the
son of God. He recognized Paul because Paul knew the

(03:56):
son of God. But the imitators they had no authority
because they had no intimacy. You can't borrow someone else's
walk with God. You can't inherit spiritual credibility. The name
only works through relationship. When we pray in Jesus' name,

(04:18):
we're not just stamping our words with approval. We're submitting
our will to his nature. It's like signing a document.
When you attach your signature, you're taking responsibility for everything
written on that page. So when you pray in his name,
you're saying, Lord, I align my heart with your heart,

(04:42):
my words with your word, and my motives with your mission.
That's what Jesus meant in John fifteen seven. If you
live in me and my words remain in you, and
continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. Notice, abide first,

(05:04):
ask second. Intimacy is the engine of authority. When you
know his character, you can trust his timing. You don't
have to manipulate outcomes or forced doors open. You simply
rest and the revelation that his name represents goodness, mercy
and truth. Say this with me, I will not use

(05:27):
his name without knowing his heart. I choose intimacy over imitation.
When I speak the name of Jesus, I carry his character,
not my agenda. The world will see his love and
my love, his truth and my actions and his power

(05:49):
in my words. I am known in heaven, recognized in hell,
and covered by the character behind the name. Here's some
scriptures for you, Matthew seven twenty two and twenty three.
On that day, many will say to me, Lord Lord,
did we not prophesy in your name? Cast out demons

(06:11):
in your name? And do all of these mighty works
in your name? And then I will declare to them,
I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of
lawlessness Exodus thirty four to six. Then the Lord passed
by in front of him and proclaimed the Lord, the
Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding

(06:36):
and loving kindness and truth. John fifteen seven. But if
you live in life union with me, and if my
words live powerfully within you, then you shall ask whatever
you desire, and it shall be done Proverbs twenty two

(06:56):
to one. A good name is to be chosen rather
than great riches, and favor is better than silver or
gold and two Timothy two nineteen. Nevertheless, the firm foundation
of God stands sure and unshaken, bearing this seal. The
Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone who

(07:21):
names the name of the Lord stand apart from wickedness.
Let's pray together, Father, I just thank you for the
revelation that your name is not just power but Jesus.
It's purity. Father. It's not just authority, but it's your character.
Lord asked it, you would teach us to know you
beyond miracles, beyond ministry, beyond what you do. Teach us

(07:44):
to know who you are. Father. Let our relationship with
you be so real, so alive, that when we speak
your name, the atmosphere recognizes it. Father, forgive us for
every time we've spoken your name without reverence or acted
in ways that didn't reflect your heart. Jesus, Today we

(08:06):
surrender our reputation for yours. Let our lives be evidence
that we don't just use the name, but Father, we
carry it. Make us people whose intimacy carries influence, whose
worship carries weight, and father whose character reflects the Christ
we proclaim in Jesus's mighty name. Amen, you know when

(08:32):
you know his heart, you can trust his hand. On
the next episode, the inheritance of the name. Why you
don't beg for what the blood already placed in your account.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
