Speaker 1 (00:03):

Church Awake. Our world is teetering on the edge of
disorder and disaster, and this series sounds an inspiring call
for the church to awaken and engage your culture with
clarity and conviction on important issues, standing confidently on truth,
(00:26):
then bending.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
To the pressures of the world.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
This series is our thanks for your gift to help
keep the proven truth of God's Word reaching you and
others around.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
The world through this program.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
So be sure to request your copy of The Church
Awake when you give Just call one eight hundred three
five oh Walk one eight hundred three five oh nine
two five five. Now let's get started with today's teaching
from doctor Young.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
In college, I was taking a course in Russian history,
and I'm sure word that I read the Communist Manifesto
became acquainted with words like bourgeoisie.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
But I don't remember it. But somebody gave me about
a couple of months ago, two copies of.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
That little pamphlet that was written by Marx and Ingalls, and.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
I picked it up and I knew.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
The thesis of communism from each accord to's ability, to
each accord to his need, and the thesis sounds utopian
and wonderful.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
The only problem is.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
It has never never worked what has been tried in history.
In fact, you could easily build a case conservatively that
over AE hundred million people have lost their lives and
been slaughtered at the foot of that atheistic view of life.
(02:08):
When I read it, I was thumbing it. But in
the early pages I encountered something there was absolutely breathtaking.
It said simply that for there to be a communistic society,
(02:30):
this pseudo utopianism, you had to first of all, totally
obliterate and destroy the family first and foremost get rid
of any semblance, any sign of the family. We would
(02:52):
call it the nuclear family. You know why it's called nuclear.
It's not for the energy we connect the world nuclear
with that. It is the nucleus nuclear of all civilization,
the family.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
And these revolutionaries.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
You, as long as the family was functioning, and the
family was the center of our society and of our lives,
that would be a foundation upon which.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Could not be destroyed. The family.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
And then it hit me, you know, God established three
institutions we've talked about that, the family first, civil government second.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
And the church third. So it seemed only natural that if.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
You want to destroy a culture, you destroy the first
institution God brought into being. Begin with marriage. God performed
the ceremony. Remember Adam and Eve, and we said, over
and over again, how does the marriage function? Leave, cleave
one flesh, low shame, And before the infamous bite was
(04:15):
taken from the apple on the tree, if it were
an apple, I think it was already you see the
freedom of choice beginning to deteriorate, the four principles of marriage.
Leave other words, leave all things, all others, all other relationships. Evidently,
(04:39):
when Eve needed Adam more than any of the time,
when the serpent, when Satan came, Adam had somehow left
and was doing other things. Cleave, hold on to one another.
Evidently they were not holding on to one another. Already
(04:59):
the pre sin Act tape activity one flesh, one flesh,
They were not one. They were acting independently. And when
Eve had eaten the apple, all of a sudden she
gave it to Adam, and Adam blamed Eve, and Eve
blamed the serpent, and both of them blamed God.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
You see already there was a disintegration of the family,
which was marriage at the core of it.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
So here is Satan attacking the family marriage through this
dos Kappaitah, and then we see all the rest of
it coming down through the communist manifesto.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
And now we see Satan's.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
The first attack and all of his agenda was on
marriage and the family. And then I awakened and said,
we're studying wokeism. Was it not just an ideology? Has
become a religion? Why if you don't get in with
the program. Look at every institution in America and for
(06:09):
that matter, almost around the world today they are wall
growing and understanding of what it means to be woke.
And if you're not woke, I can tell you you
and all probability of different reaceship, you'll be canceled.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
You'll be canceled by the way they wanted to.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Cancel Jesus, remember, and they did cancel him. All the
institution of that time and that day said crucify him.
So they canceled him, and they nailed him to an
X mark of cancelization.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
And Satan said, amen.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
By the way demonic forces use our language, you know,
to Samen's So let it be Jesus had been canceled.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
But what happened to that cancelation? There was a resurrection.
So so.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
We come to this point when all of a sudden
you see the attack.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
On the family and attack on the family, and.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
You take all the operative pregnant words in Wokism and
see how direcular, indirectly they affect marriage and they affect
the family. Look at some of these words the woe
vocabulary tradition.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Husband and wife. Oh no, no, no, no.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
They're partners. And you ask people, well, tell me about
your wife. Well, let me tell you about my partner
I've been living with so forth. Have you ever heard that?
Oh yeah, that's woke language. Mother, gestational person, huh father
none gestational person.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Those are hard to define.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
The most recent nominee the Supreme Court couldn't tell you
a difference of a woman anyway. Gender sixty eight different
varieties of human expression. By the way, I had someone
look that up. This is true Monday this week. My
researcher looked it up and said they're sixty eight. She
(08:21):
called me back on Thursday and said four new ones
have been added.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I can't make that up.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
And I asked her, what are these four you expressions
of sexuality?
Speaker 2 (08:34):
She said, they haven't given name to them yet.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Bachelor, bachelorette, don't know, bachelore x, brider, groom, forbidden, merrier,
flower girl, flower, pal braba, bouquet.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Oh no, they've.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Been totally renamed in our woke culture.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
And I've got a question for all of those who
are moving around in this area.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
Many of them are in high elective office, many of
them have deree after degree after degree. My question for
these is simply this, And I say this not cynically
or sarcastically, but I say it with more sincerity.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
How high do you have to get in our society?
Speaker 3 (09:31):
And how much education do you have to have before
you lose all common sense?
Speaker 2 (09:48):
So we come to this point.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
We asked the question, does the Word of God have
any instruction for us? Open your Bibles to Matthew chapter
and you couldn't have a better instruction for all of
us than the words of Jesus in the Sermon on
the Mount verse twenty four following, Jesus said, in light
(10:16):
of what he's been teaching, and you can read all
the chapters one, two, three, four, five, six before of this.
That's say wow, wow, he says, in light of what
I've been teaching, who hears these words.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Of mine and acts on them. Let me tell you something.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
You can sit in church every day, every moment, go
to every Bible study class, you can read your scripture,
you can do everything in the world. And here, here, here,
Jesus says, we can't just to hear.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
We have to act. Hello, shocking.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
I thought I had done all I needed to do
is just to hear. You see, we're so confused even
in the Church of Jesus Christ. Have you ever been
to a Bible study class and somebody reads the scripture
and they ask, what do.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
You think about that? But what do you think about that?
By the way, I'll deal with this soon.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
That is post modernism interpretation, and it is deadly because.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Everybody has their own opinion. How do you teach the Bible?
Speaker 3 (11:31):
You take a verse, you understand it in context of
what it means at that time and that place and
that situation, and then you hear and you act and
see what that means, do that before.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
That, and you're out and never never land. What do
you think about that? No? No, No, Bible verses are
just up for grabs.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Make them mean anything you want to to mean, just
spend them anyway you like them. No, no, no, the
truth of God, Jesus says, Right in the beginning, he said,
if you hear, that's good, but you better act. Hearing
without acting.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Is nothing. It amounts to nothing.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
So he says, whoever here's these words of Mine and
acts on them may be compared to a wise man,
a wise person who built his house on rock, and
the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and slammed against the house. Let me tell you something, folks,
(12:37):
I like that word translated here. Slammed in every marriage,
every family. Everybody knows about what it means to be
slammed against, slammed against, slammed against the house, and yet
does not fail, for it had been founded on the rock.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Who a marriage to family stands the.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Contrast, Jesus says, everyone who hears these words of Mine
and does not act on them they just hear, will
be like a fool, A foolish man, a foolish person
who built his house on sand, and the rain fell,
and the floods came, the ones blue and slammed against
(13:24):
the house. The same thing happened to the family on
the sand his family.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
On the rock.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
But look at the difference, and it fell, and great
was the fall of that family that was built on sand.
Let's make this personal, folks. Is your marriage your life,
single or marriage or not? Is it built on sand?
(13:54):
We're talking about the family. Let me tell you what
a marriage a family built on. A marriage built on
sand starts usually with the couples being unequally yoked together.
What the world does that mean? It means a husband
believes one thing about this, the wife believes something else
about this. It means one is a Christian, one is
(14:17):
not a Christian. It means they're going in opposite directions
they have an agreed. How any marriage can stand when
they're reading different rule books and different principles.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
I don't know, but.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
A lot of times we fall in love on the
basis of we call it love, but it's probably.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
More or less.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
I'm not he gets chemistry and relationship, sure, that's a part.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
But marriages that are two individual living by different rule books.
It's like playing tennis.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
One person gets two points every time they make a point,
and the other one gets one and the lines are different,
and the rules are different.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
And guess what, that's not going to be any fun.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
You take anything we do and one side is played
by one book, and another side playing my other book.
And of all things in marriage, the most intimate and
sacred of relationships, so the.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Unequal yoke, and in the unequal yoke. And by the way, I.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Have to say this, all of them, you didn't mention this,
you didn't get well.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Just stay with us.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
We're in general principles. I hope that you will hear
and act and apply.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
And then they're unequally yoke.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
And then what happens, so many many times there's adultery.
So many meet for the sexual immorality, there's adultery.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
And then the other.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Reason for divorce, given the Bible is desertion. And boy,
that's interpreted far and wide. A lot of marriages stay
together in form, but they really have deserted from one another.
Have a thing, You do your thing, I do my thing.
Oh we meet once in a while. So there are
the two grounds. And really you see that in so
(16:10):
many marriages because they were unequally your different principles going
in and now they get in and here is adultery,
and here is desertion, not just leaving, but deserted in
working together, teaming together.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
And then all of a sudden.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
There's a divorce. What is divorce, ladies and gentlemen, I'll
tell you.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Exactly what it is.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
When you get married and I get married to become one,
and divorce is when that marriage commits suicide.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Boy, that's hard. Know that is biblical truth.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
So now that one that you became has self employed
and suicide has taking place, let me say over here, oh,
that judgmental preacher. No, I'm just teaching biblical principles. Their's
forgiveness and grace and the second chance.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
And I know about half of us here have gone
through a divorce.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
I understand that I'm not ostrich over there, I assure you.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
So here's what happens.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Suicide takes place, and then sometimes people get married again
feeling they have biblical grounds, and many times they do,
but they don't change. They go in with the same
kind of twisted view of life and marriage and family,
and it happens again.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
It happens again, and it's always the other person's fault.
Have you noticed.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Tragedy, the attacks on the family and when this happens,
you know what.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
The devil says, Hey man, yeah, one of our words,
So let it be. I'm won. And then the product.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Of this tragedy, your children, children for your children, what
has the children usually have become a ping pong ball
because husband, the daddy and the mother they want to
make sure the children understand that I'm right, She's right,
he's right, And they.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
So many times try to over spoil and.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Do and love those little children who've gone through the
divorce because I want you to know your daddy loves
you more than your mother loves you.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
And you beat the children up. What happens to the children?
Speaker 3 (18:52):
They have lost the model, the pattern of what God
intends for family and.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
How children are to be brought up. They've lost it.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
The children out there never never land, and they're looking
for authority in princeman understanding and usually mom and dad
in divorced. They don't want to disciplate very much or
she'll side with him, or he'll side with her. Right,
I'm telling you just the way it is, ladies and gentlemen.
So the children then are looking for some course and
(19:24):
where do they go. Usually they go in the schools
of education right, whether they go in the classroom and
they're looking for a father or a mother, a mentor,
somebody who cares, somebody who'll listen, somebody even who will discipline.
And then in the schools, we submit ourselves to them.
(19:46):
You go to a public school today in our city,
in our counties, or in our America, and about I
don't know what percentage of overwhelming percentage of them, they'll
be taught by children who have had.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
To respond to the woke agenda.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
They even have teachers at large who go through to
teach the teachers how to teach wokeness to the children
without mom and dad ever finding out. Oh yes, they're
all over the country. They're specialists. And then our children
are there. They're looking for voices. And I recently heard
(20:26):
about a teacher I think it was in Dallas into
sixth grade, she discovered ninety percent of her children into
sixth grade could not read simple sentences with any symbolans
of understanding.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
She went to the.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Principal or head of school, then to the school board
and told them, and they.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Took a survey.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Sure enough, only about eighty percent of them could read
with any symbolss of understanding. And the school board said,
don't you tell anybody, don't you do anything. Two years
of home schooling or to pray, just promote them right up. Therefore,
they can't read with understanding, so they have to listen
(21:07):
and be indoctrinated in Walkism in the classroom. Now, if
a couple is prosperous enough to send your son or
daughter to an independent private school, many many times with
great sacrifice, if they attend a school that is approved
(21:29):
by the National Association of Independent Schools. And by the way,
I would say, most of the prestigious schools in this
city are approved by this particular group and get their
accreditation there. If your son or daughter happens to be there.
This is a true costs America. By the way, Psalm
(21:54):
thirty two eight. I will instruct you and teach you
in the way which you should go. I will counsel
you with my eye upon you, God's eyes on us.
My mother could get my attention just by looking at
me or rolling her eyes. I had a teacher who
(22:15):
taught me English and high school, and she got my attention.
She would just squint and focus one eye when you
were out of sorts in a way that is what
God does with us. First, he says that he would
instruct us. That is a classroom setting. He says, I'm
going to set you in a classroom and I'm going
(22:36):
to give you my profound instruction. Then I will teach
you as you walk in the way. This Psalmis also
says I will counsel with you. Isn't that terrific? And
next he says, I'm going to keep my eye on you.
I'm going to watch after you listen. It is incredible
(23:00):
to realize that God keeps his eye on us. Another
passon the Old Testa says he's searching the world with
his eyes. God is to find someone he can bless.
God keeps his eye right on you and write on
me and promises to look out for us as his children.
That's a promise of God. When David contemplated these truths
(23:24):
that we worship a God who instructs us and keeps
his eye on us, he ended the psalm by declaring
to all who trust in Him, be glad in the
Lord and shout with joy. Well, I don't feel like
but you can when you know at all times his
(23:47):
divine eye is on you. You're in Christ, You're a son,
you're a daughter. His eye is trained on you and
on me. Isn't that to you?
Speaker 1 (24:07):
