Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Pretty Private with Ebina, a space where no
question is off limits and storylines become lifelines. The views
shared by our guests are meant to inform, entertain and empower.
From the laughs to the lessons, Just remember, tough times
don't last, but professional home girls do enjoy the show.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
What's up y'all? Y shagarl Ebney here and I hope
all is cute, and welcome back to Pretty Private with
eb Anda. Okay, So I just got back from Miami, y'all.
Like literally, I just got back and I had a
time like Miami owes me them, okay, But I went
(00:48):
out there to go see the Brandy and Monica concert,
and y'all, it was so good, like, oh my god,
Like I knew it was gonna be good, but it
was like fire, okay, Like the energy, the music, the nostalgia,
like it really really had your girl feeling like she
was on stage and she wrote them songs herself, right
like Kelly Rowland did amazing, Oh my god, SWB Left,
(01:13):
No Crime, Sexy, Red Trick, Daddy Trina.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
I mean it was just so good, y'all, so so
so good. And of course Brandy and Monica like it
was just if you have not seen them in concert yet,
and if they still come into a city near you,
I really really recommend that you go and support like
it was that fire. But another reason why I went
to Miami because I needed a change of scenery, Like
(01:38):
it is cold in the Tri State area, and your
girl needed some sun on these buns, Okay. And I
just loved being at the beach, Like I'm such a
water girl, so like you know, as I was at
the beach and just like listening to the waves, I
was really like sitting here and just thinking and reflecting
of this past year, you know, like this year has
(02:01):
been full of mini ups and a couple of downs. Okay,
many of us are tired, many of us are grateful, hopeful,
and a lot of us are still trying to find
our footing, you know. So today I want to slow down,
I want to pause and reflect with you all. And
(02:21):
I thought that it would be a really good episode
just to share some prayers from our past guests, moments
of vulnerability, honesty, and realness. Wherever you are, whether you're driving,
you relaxing, or just needing a moment, take a deep
breath with your girl and let's receive what's meant for
(02:43):
us in these prayers. Okay, so let's get started. So
our first prayer comes from Katera Washington Patten from the
episode on Depression, grief, and Navigating the Blues. This is
for anyone carrying heavy emotions, anyone who's grieving the way
(03:04):
life hasn't gone as planned, or just feeling wayed down
by sadness or anxiety. Kata's prayer is a reminder that
it is okay to feel, to acknowledge the pain, to
sit with it, and still move forward. And as we
close out the year, it's important to reflect on what
(03:26):
we all been through. Okay, child, So let's honor ourselves
for surviving and to trust that healing is already on
the way. So take a deep breath and let this
message sink in.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Clearly, the holidays without a loved one, it's really hard.
Some people have complex family structures that make it even hard.
So God, we asked that you just be with all
those who are listening, all those who are receiving this information,
that you just help them to first know you love
them and that you sent Jesus for them. And if
(04:04):
anyone has not accepted him, that you would show them
the way, give them light, give them peace, give them understanding.
Dear God, I asked that you be with anyone who
is not feeling like themselves. Perhaps nomb are low, are
just in just such a bad place that they don't
know how to lift up their head. God, I asked
(04:25):
that your spirit would touch them right now, that they
would know that you see them and hear them, and
you can direct them toward a place to get help.
Dear God, I asked that you just continue to be
with Ebaney and her show and her work, her enthusiasm,
her goals. Dear God, I asked that you bless her
so that she might continue to be a blessing. God.
(04:48):
I love you, I praise you, and I just thank
you for what you've done in my life and how
you've helped me navigate the blues in Jesus's name.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Amen, Amen, that's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
Child.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
I know God gonna come through with a blessing after
that prayer.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Now, as we move from reflection to love, let's shift
our focus to a prayer about what we all long for. Connection,
care and intimacy is about receiving the love we all deserve.
So Next up is Brittany Brodnis Smith from I am
a Christian sexologist. Her prayer is all about love, and
(05:31):
not just romantic love, but the kind of love that
every woman and man deserves. If you've been waiting, wondering,
or doubting, this prayer is a reminder to trust God's timing,
to be patient with yourself, and to recognize your worth.
(05:51):
Love comes in many forms, so it can show up
through family, friends, or even self love. Britney words were
minds us that we don't have to settle for anything
less than what.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
We truly deserve. Period.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Okay, so take a moment as we listen to Britney's prayer.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Or havny.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Father, we come to you on this day with thanksgiving,
Father God, we thank you and praise you for your
grace and your mercy. Father God, I first and foremost
want to thank you for my sister Evanday. Lord, I
thank you for her heart. I thank you for her beauty,
her wisdom, her creativity, her talent.
Speaker 7 (06:26):
Lord.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
I pray I know that you have a mighty place,
a impact, that you have plans for her in this world,
through this podcast, through her art, through her writing, through
her coloring, books through her insight and plans for the
thing that she wishes for and dreams about and prays about. Lord,
I know you're getting ready to do mighty works and
(06:49):
through you with her. Lord, in the name of Jesus
and Lord, I pray right now that anybody who is
listening to this who is heartbroken, Anybody who was listening
to this who feels like they will never see love
or feel love again. Anybody who feels like the other,
who feels like always the brides may never the bride
who feels like they don't imagine it's.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Not that guy that was right there. I'm sorry, God,
go ahead, breathe.
Speaker 6 (07:14):
They don't imagine a world where they are loved, where
they are seeing, heard, valued, or understood. Lord, I pray
that you silence the whispers and lives of the enemy
and remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Remind them that your thoughts for them outnumber the grains
of saying. Remind them that your name is a strong
tower and the rights run in or say. Remind them
that you are near to the broken heart and close
(07:36):
to those who are crushed in spirit. Lord, remind them
that if it be your will that they will be
able to rejoice and see the goodness of God in
the land of the Living. They will be able to
feel love inside and out, platonically, familiarly, spiritually, and romantically. Lord,
that they don't despise the fact that they dream of
(07:57):
being a wife, That they don't despise the fact that
they dream of being a mother. Remind them that you
are the father and author of time, and that you
exist outside of time. So there is no biological clot,
no statistic, no doctor's report that will supersede what thus
saith the Lord in the name of Jesus. So anybody
who is listening to this right now, especially that woman
(08:19):
who continues to cry herself to sleep but smiles on
in front of everybody every other day, that woman who
is everything to everybody else but comes home with nobody
to be that to them. Lord, remind them that You're
they are never outside of your hand. Find of them,
find rest in your leaf, that they find love and
joy in your arms. In the name of Jesus, and
(08:40):
remind them, if they seek first the Kingdom of God
and his righteousness, that all every dream, every hope, every plan,
every fear, all other things will be addressed and added
unto them, because there is nothing concerning them that you
aren't concerned about. We praise you, we honor you, and
(09:00):
we seal this with a Hallelujah because we know what's
already done and your mighty and Mass's name, we pray hemen,
come on.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Brittany to be stand for best.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Oh, Brittany, got me over here, crying girl child. Now
from love, we're gonna move to power. A prayer about
recognizing the strength that already lives inside of you. It's
a call to stand in your own energy and claim
your worth. This comes from Black Girl Bliss from Pussy Prayers,
(09:34):
sacred rituals for wild women of color. Her prayer is
about honoring yourself, your intuition, your body, your voice. It's
easy to shrink or dim your light, especially when the
world tells you to, but this prayer is a reminder
that you are powerful, that you are sacred, and you
(09:56):
already have everything you need within you or within re
each So let that thought stick with you as our girl,
Black Girl Bliss share her prayer.
Speaker 8 (10:08):
All right, So first, getting honor to all of the
ancestral mothers, our four mothers, all the way back to
the first woman who squatted down and gave birth to
the first person who will populate the world. We give thanks,
We honor your power. We know that that power lives
(10:30):
within us. We know that we are born from that power,
and there's no way for us to be let us
straight from it. All we have to do is tap
back in. We give thanks to our bodies. We get
thanks to our minds. We get thanks to our spirits
who have brought us here and let us down. The
journey that we're on, led you to this podcast, led
(10:52):
you to my put so that you can tap back
in to your natural power. I wish for everyone within
the sound of my voice, like my godmother says, ecstasy,
abundance and bliss. I pray that you.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Find your power.
Speaker 8 (11:13):
I pray that you take the time to see what
your body needs and do what it needs, and be
consistent with that so that you can be your highest self.
I shay who child.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Now let's shift to purpose.
Speaker 9 (11:30):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
This prayer is for anyone feeling uncertain about the next
step in life or question whether they are on the
right path. Lord knows I have asked myself that question
plenty of times, So this comes from one of my
favorite episodes, I Am a Christian Part two. This prayer
reminds us that God is guiding every step of our journey,
(11:54):
even when the path isn't clear, Even when we are scared,
we are still exactly where are we supposed to be
as a prayer for courage, clarity, and alignment with your purpose.
So take a moment to feel that reassurance as our
girl starts her prayer.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Well, Gracious, Heavenly Father, I just come to you tonight,
and when I just thank you for this community here
that Ebana has built with this podcast. Lord, I thank
you that you have given her a voice and that
she is using it. Lord, I just want to pray
over that voice. I pray right now that you will
send Heaven's armies to surround her and to protect her. Lord,
(12:38):
that any weapon that tries to form against her will
not prosper, but will be torn down by the angels
that surround her. Lord Father, I pray that you will
constantly draw her nearer to you so that her audience
may get the best of her. Because we know that
we are our best when we are in our creator, Father,
when we are walking out our purpose with the one
who purposed us. Oh my gosh, beautiful things come.
Speaker 9 (13:00):
Lord.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
If this podcast is a garden, we give her every
tool she needs. Will you keep the soil rich? Will
you keep the sun shining? Will you allowed everything that
grows from it to be beautiful? Will you allow her
garden to be lush? Lord, And that anybody who picks
the flowers or the fruit from it will be blessed
by it. God, I thank you Lord that despite the
(13:22):
troubles in this world, despite the pains and the griefs
and the longings, you never change, and you never lift
your hand from us.
Speaker 9 (13:31):
Lord.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Will you protect my sister? Will you protect this community?
And will you lead her and all of your truth
and in all of your righteousness, God, that she may
continue to be the woman that you have called her
to be. And will you sharpen her daily, restore her
and renew her daily? Father? And that beautiful smile that
graces us every time, will you keep that on her face? Lord,
(13:54):
because she has joy as a fruit of the spirit,
not as the fruit of the circumstances in this world.
So may herself to you, so that that joy that
she experiences never runs dry, because you, Lord, never run
dry in Jesus name, I pray Amen.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I'm on Now, that's how you do that.
Speaker 6 (14:11):
Baby.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Here, what's up, y'all, it's shagirl ebine here and be
sure to follow me on Instagram and TikTok at pretty
private podcasts, and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube
channel at the Professional Homegirl. Now let's get back to
the show. Now we move to healing, healing from past
(14:35):
paying trauma experiences that have left scars. This one is heavy,
but it is necessary. From my men's series, I was
physically abused by my wife. This prayer is about restoration
and wholeness for anyone who has felt unseen, unheard, or broken.
(14:57):
This prayer reminds us that healing matters and that God
sees us even when no one else does. It's a
reminder that love is possible no matter what we've been through.
So take a deep breath and let that truth settle in.
As our pastor begins his prayer.
Speaker 7 (15:18):
Let's pray Father, thank you Lord for the work that
she's doing with this podcast and everything else that she's
doing Lord, for you and for the kingdom and to
help people be free and hold Father, thank you for
our time together this evening and trust that what's been
(15:40):
said and talked about will be fruitful, that it will
help someone walk away from abuse. Lord, would help someone
understand that you have a plan, a purpose for their life,
and abuse is not part of that plan. I thank
you Lord, that the churches would wake up and realize
is that they have a problem. The faith community would
(16:02):
wake up and realize that it has a problem, and
that we need to reassess what we teach, how we
teach it, so that the words of Jesus can be true,
that he has come to set the captives free. And
so Lord, again, I thank you for this time together.
And Lord, I just want to lift up my new friend.
(16:27):
And you know the desires of her heart for God.
And you said it is not good that man should
be alone, and it's not good that a woman should
be alone. And so Lord, I lived her up to you.
You know the desires of her heart. And I pray
right now Lord that as she waits patiently upon you,
but you are already preparing the man that is going
(16:51):
to be her husband one day. And Lord, when that
day happens, make it clear, make it plain, and we
rejoice and wait with excited anticipation upon how you're going
to bless her in this area of our life. So
with that being said, we give you thanks so Gord
(17:12):
the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Ay Man Pastor. That's what I'm talking about now, y'all
know I am big on manifesting the life I deserve,
and this is exactly what this prayer is about. This
prayer encourages all of us to let go of what
no longer serves us and step boldly into purpose. This
(17:37):
comes from the episode title from Ordained Ministers, a spiritual
guide navigating religion and spirituality. It's a prayer about courage, faith,
and intentional living. A reminder to trust your journey, release
fear and doubt, and embrace the next chapter. Fully take
(17:59):
a moment to breathe in envision to life you deserve.
Speaker 9 (18:04):
I'll speak this blessing over everyone, So everyone that is
under the sound of my voice, from this day forward,
for all eternity, may your whole household be mightily blessed.
May every dream become reality, not in the distant future,
but in the near future, not in five, six, seven,
(18:28):
eight years from now. But I am feeling that so
many people need a right now, and so we are moving,
and we are speaking, and I am rearranging all of
the atoms and the subatomic particles, and I'm rearranging and
speaking into your energetic being right now and telling you
and speaking life into you there is no more death,
(18:50):
Speaking life into your dreams, into your passions, speaking prosperity
over your purpose, speaking clarity in your mind, your heart,
and your soul, removing every obstacle that has been in
your way thus far, reprogramming your brain to believe in you,
to believe that you are a whole being, that you
(19:13):
are beautifully and wonderfully created, that you live at peace,
nothing missing, nothing broken, in total balance, and that you
are blessed to be a blessing. I speak calm and
peace where there may be violence and fear, it is
no more. You have the ability to either walk away
(19:34):
or that person will no longer harm you in any way,
shape form a fashion. And I'm speaking peace over you,
over your city, over your towns, over your state, and
over this country. That all those that will hear, that
have an ear, will indeed hear and raise up and
(19:54):
take your power back, take it back, don't give it
away anymore, and you will be able to create and
recreate and manifest the life that you wish that is
of your highest good and for the good of the collective. Yes,
(20:15):
thank you, Amen nache and I mean.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Amen, Come on now, doctor, that's how you do that.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Come on now now.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
From purpose, we move into gratitude and reclaiming yourself, a
prayer that encourages embracing all of who you are, unapologetically
okay from Black Girl b List. This prayer is about
gratitude for lessons, for growth, and for the doors that open.
It also reminds us to reclaim parts of ourselves that
(20:47):
were labeled too much, bold, passionate, unapologetically alive. This is
our birth right. So take a deep breath and listen.
Listen to our girl, black Girl bliss, and let's feel
that power.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
This being the last interview of the year for you
and for this platform, I finally believe that it's not
by accident or coincident. I don't think God does anything accidentally. Fact, Listen,
God is so masterful in his orchestration that he could
put Steven Spielberg out of businesses. Yeah, you know what
he's doing. Yeah, I believe your steps, My steps are
(21:26):
ordered of the Lord, So we are sitting down here
at this particular time, at this particular moment, because it
was God ordained. I firmly believe that your platform is
going to take off like never before. I believe and
I feel in my spirit that the half has not
been told for you, because your motive and your intent
(21:46):
and your heart is right. Sometimes God has to use people,
and that's us, Yeah, And He's got to use people
that look like us if we can relate to people
that look like us, because you understand me because you
are me, yes, at a different time, just at a
different facts and just at a different season facts. So
I firmly believe with every fiber of my being that
(22:10):
that hath ain't been told for you, young lady. I
firmly believe that my story resonated with you, because yes,
it's one of somebody that's a writer or a die,
but it's from somebody that's speaking from a place of pain.
And when you can relate to the pain, then you
understand the sometimes the choices, yeah, facts, and you can
(22:30):
relate to that. Firmly believe that good things and great
things are in store for you, Father God, in the
name of Jesus, even now, Father, I ask that your
hand of protection, that your hand of guidance, that your
hand of direction, lead and guide her every step of
the way. God, I decree and a declare even now
(22:51):
that you will open up doors for her. Let her
name be spoken in rooms that she has not even entered.
I decree and the clear Father, that even now, that
you orchestrate her steps, Father, leader in God, or to
whom to talk to when to talk to him? God,
Leader and goid here on what to say and on
what tone that it needs to be delivered in God,
(23:11):
I decree and declared Father, that she might not be
doing this full time, but that this thing shall take
off with such a throttle that will have to be
a full time scenario, because there is a people out
here that need the healing of the authentic. They need
to see the raw and the real. And I firmly
believe God that the lady that I'm talking to on
(23:33):
the other side of this camera is one of them.
Order her steps, Father, make the way, God, allow it
to be debt free. God, Allow whatever resources, whatever avenues
that she needs, allow them to spring forward and open
up in front of her. Make the way easy, make
the path straight, I decree and declared in the matchless
name of Jesus, and it is so amen.
Speaker 9 (23:57):
A man come home. Miss.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
That's how you do.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
A prayer and finally a prayer on guidance, a prayer
for direction, provision, and assurance. As we step into the
next season. From Ride or Die Part two, this prayer
reminds us God orders our steps, provide what we need,
(24:24):
and walks with us always. We are never alone. So
take that with you as this year comes to an end.
Speaker 8 (24:35):
Okay, First, giving honor and all praises to the dark
Mother is the wounds from which we were birth, the
divine darkness from which all of the universe came, into
which all you know, we will all return. We want
to give honor and thanks to the darkness because it
provides all that we need from the time we are
(24:55):
babies in the womb. Every seed that provides the food
that we eat comes from the darkness. The water that
we drank comes from the darkness of the earth. Every
single thing that we could possibly need or be, or
do or have comes from the dark And we just
give thanks for everything that we have received from divine darkness.
(25:19):
I pray that everyone within the sound of my voice
is able to tap into the parts of themselves that
they were told were too much, that they were told
were inappropriate, that they were told on lady like, that
they were told were unacceptable, that they could not be,
that they could not explore, that they could not do.
(25:40):
Tap into that, so that they could be the people
they came here to be, so they can do the
things they came here to do. Is they could have
all of the blessings they came here to have an experience.
I know that once we tap into that darkness, once
we go in there and we time light song, we
say what's going on in here, we will find all
(26:02):
of the joy and the fulfillment and the satisfaction and
comfort and ease that we have been looking for our
entire lives. I pray abundance and joy and comfort and
bliss to all of the people listening to this. And
I of course bless our wonderful host for her willingness
(26:25):
to step into her destiny and her power to do
and be and have all that she desires and deserves.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Ashay, oh child, you got to be over her tearing up.
Oh my god, y'all. I really do hope that y'all
enjoy these prayers. I hope these reflections gave you a
sense of peace, clarity, or even just a quiet moment
to just breathe. You know, as we move forward into
(26:55):
the year twenty twenty six, remember that these moments are reflection,
aren't just for the end of the year, there for
every day. So let's carry these intentions forward healing, love,
purpose and gratitude. Take time to honor yourself, your journey
and a growth you may, even if it feels small. Okay,
(27:17):
remember each step you take matters, each choice you make
shapes of life you're walking into. And as always, stay
preyed up, stay grounded, and stay being a badass professional
home girl, fearless, resilient and unapologetically you. Because tough times
(27:38):
don't last, but professional homegirls do. So keep believing, keep trusting,
and keep moving forward with intention and until next time,
everyone later. Pretty Private is a production the Black Effect
