Speaker 2 (00:18):
Oh my god, y'all. So I am super excited about
this week's guest. This is gonna be obviously a different conversation,
more of a behind the scenes what one of my
favorite people to collaborate with. She is my graphic illustrator.
(00:40):
She is my soundboard when needed. She is a person
that tells me to take no clocket. She is the
person that tells me to take a break, go to sleep,
because sometimes I be up at the crack of dawn
trying to push things out. So I'm just so excited
to have you on here, Tip, how are you feeling.
I'm excited. Listen, it's been a week in Today's Tuesday.
(01:04):
Yeah yeah, yeah right now, so been a long week. Well, listen,
Tip and I always talk, so I probably seen Tip well,
we had never met in person, but I probably seen
her like this over zoom or over doing our call.
How many times, like maybe like two or three times,
if that means I'm not saying less than five, definitely
less than five. Like, so, it's so nice to see
(01:25):
your pretty face. I'm always seeing you on pictures on Instagram. Also,
I say we see each other's stories. Yeah, we see
the escapades of Shenanigans. That's that's what we see the
most stuff. But never right, And how long have you
known each other? Girl? Before the was it during the pandemic?
(01:45):
Before it was during the pandemic?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Great?
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yes, because in the first bookstore I had shot out
to Bluestocking's bookstore in New York. I had a mask on. Yeah,
because a couple of the illustrations in the book had masks.
Line yeah, Sowen. No, it was it had to be
twenty nineteen, since it dropped in twenty twenty. I don't know.
(02:09):
I don't know the time, because I remember when I
got the first book. I posted on Instagram and I
was behind the candle with my coloring book and I
had my mask on. Wow, that's so crazy. All the
different world, a whole new world, my Disney. Right. So
do you remember how we met? No? I just know
(02:31):
you emailed me one time because you wanted covers for
the podcast episodes. And I don't even remember if I
asked how you found me Instagram or Juke. And that's
the thing. I'm like, was it through Instagram? Because I
at the time had my illustration page where I was
like posting like random illustrations that I do of like
(02:53):
things that I saw, and you know, I was just
letting things fly as a creative. I don't have that
page anymore because I was like, let me take a break,
like I just need to figure out my creative direction.
And but you found me before I archived everything I did. Now,
if my memory serves me right, I remember being on
Instagram because I wanted to do this coloring book, right,
(03:16):
And I think somebody a neutral person or maybe you
don't know this person, this girl, I know she was
just posting different graphic illustrators and I don't know what
it was about your work, you know I'm talking about.
I can't think of her name. I do, yes, she
posted your work, and I think I reached out to you.
I'm very persistent. Job. If y'all didn't know, I think
(03:36):
I DM you and then I email you and that's
how we got connected. Yeah, I do remember, because there
was a page that used to share like stuff like
they'd highlight like ya black heart, and I feel like
they shared like a waiting to extail illustration I did
or something, and so that might have been like who
ended up connecting you with me? But here here we
are now? Yeah yeah, so tell the people what has
(03:59):
been like where with me? I'eel like I'm a joy
to work with. Yeah, she's smiling, she's like bitch, please y'all.
I mean, but anybody, it's anybody like damn, I'm You're
not you know, you're not a bad You're not a client.
You're not a bad client because you you listen. Though
(04:20):
there are clients that I have that do not listen
like at all and will be on a call because
you know, sometimes you'll text me and you'll be like,
okay to I think we need to add X, Y
and Z, and I'll respond to like a gift or
something and be like girl, and you'd be like that's
doing too much. And I'll be like that is doing
too much, and you'd be like okay, okay, okay, okay,
(04:42):
and then you'll reel it back in. So therefore, you know,
it helps because there are some clients who's just like, oh,
I want this, and then you try and give them
a little pushback to let them see like, oh no,
there's not be a little too much, and they're like
not I want I want it anyway, And then you
do it and they're like, oh, you was right, and
I'm like I try to tell you that before, but
I think at this point where to a point where
(05:05):
you're like, okay, I see where you was coming from
before I even have to do it, so I don't
even have to sit there and like illustrate the whole
thing out and be like, well this is what I
was talking about, Like I can just say it and
you're like okay, like I understand. And usually we have
a good collaborative effort that we kind of meet in
the middle, like you'll say you want something and I'll
say like, well what about this, like them collage pages
(05:27):
like yeah, and I'm like okay, well about this, and
you'd be like that's it. So then it ends up working.
But you know, working with you has been really good
to have somebody to bounce like ideas off of and
you just be having ideas. Yeah, I feel like I
push your pin, like I feel like i'd be like,
come on, Tip, I know you can do it. We
have an ideas. I'll be like, girl, what like what
(05:49):
like when you called me about the even this book,
I mean even when you call me about the first book, well,
you know what talk about what was your initial reaction
to it. I was like, I want to create a
coloring book, but I want to be interactive, right. I
thought it was a really good because I am a
color I have coloring books, you know, I like the color.
And you and by this point we had been working
(06:12):
on the podcast covers for maybe a year and change
maybe if that, and you were just like, yeah, I
want to interact a coloring book, like I want people
to be able to listen in color at the same time.
And I was like, well, you know what, that's actually
a really good idea. And we did the first one
and I think that one was short. We did the
(06:32):
first one that was short. It was a fine, Yeah,
it was small. We did the first one that was small,
like but we like you said you wanted it, and
I was like, all right, well let's do this and
we're gonna have the episodes here and then like we're
gonna have the little call out and we're gonna have
the picture and we're gonna do it that way, because
I've never seen a coloring book like that back in
(06:55):
you know that have Like it reminds me almost like
you remember back in the day, like when we were
younger and the little like contraptions that used to come
with the kids books. Yeah, this little thing over the
pages and scanning and would read it. That's like what
it reminds me of in a way, like nostalgia. But
I think it's definitely a really good eye and I
(07:16):
still haven't seen anyone else. I'm surprised though, because I
feel like, you know, when it comes to podcast and
I always tell people, like you have to think outside
the box and get creative. Even though I'm with a network,
I still have to get creative because I still consider
myself as an underdog. So when I have these coloring
books and I'm talking to people and I'm sharing the
color books and they actually get to experience it, they're like, damn,
(07:38):
like this is a really smart idea, and I'm like,
I know, and I'm just so shocked nobody else is
doing it. Yeah, look forgive me if somebody else has
done it. And we haven't seen it, but I haven't
seen it. I haven't seen anyone talk about it. I
haven't seen anyone post it. I just think, you know,
for this to be the third one that will be
out by the time this comes out, like this one's massive.
(08:00):
It's so good. I mean, we're gonna talk about the
details later, but I feel like I do agree with you.
I feel like, why you least it's a huge it's
his It's so good, y'all. And I think that what
I'm really proud of with the work that we're doing
is you can really see the evolution between volume one
to volume three. And I think that, like you said
(08:21):
in the beginning, we never did this before, so and
like I color and everything, but I'm not one of
those people that like, go that's like my first thing
go to when it comes to relaxing or just something
that's gonna you know. But one when we start creating it,
I'm like, oh shit, Like I feel like with volume two,
like we really stepped it up. But even with that,
I feel like we didn't like really push it. And
(08:41):
then I'm doing more research and I'm like, you know what,
I feel like we can really like make it more intricate,
like make it more to a point where not only
as it interactive, but it's like worth it, Like I
want people to be like wow, like this is this
is something different that I never experienced before, especially being
that it's a coloring book. So I agree with you
on that a coloring book with stories activities. I just
(09:04):
think it's just really dope to incorporate like both Like
if you're trying to unplug, but you also want to
listen to something and it may not necessarily be a
new album or music, Like you can just scan the
QR code and color that page. I think that's definitely
dope that you can up with that. I feel like
it's kind of crazy to say, but I feel like
the coloring books are like a personal manifesto. Really, I do,
(09:28):
like I feel like I don't know, I feel like
I don't look at the color and books and even
though they are coloring books, but I don't look at
them like they're like I feel like when especially with
this coloring book, like for volume three, like I really
wanted to showcase and highlight different career paths and the
entrepreneurship and also the theme for me this year was
learning how to pivot and trusting that what that process
(09:48):
looked like on that journey. And I feel like, you know,
when people purchase volume three, you can purchase it now.
I feel like you can, like it encourages you to
like really lean us being the best version of yourself,
and you can lean into that by hearing these stories
of women that either have similar paths that you may
want to take, or they may have completely right. And
(10:13):
some of the occupations you have in this one, I
will would have never like obviously I wouldn't have pursued them,
but right, like the black film historian, yeah, or the mortician,
like we hear it's nice to actually hear like that
actually happening, you know, or you interview a black woman
(10:34):
interviewing another black woman in that space so that you
can hear firsthand, like what they went through, right, And
I feel like that's like that That's what a personal
manifesto comes in that it's like a reminder as you're coloring,
that it is possible for you to achieve all your things,
all the things that your heart desires, whether it's career.
I mean normally the color and books Volume one, Volume
(10:56):
two were more so on personal journeys. But the fact
that we took a different out into professional journeys, I
think it's just like so fucking key, And you wanted
this book to be able like teens couldn't. Also, you
know what I'm saying, tap in because the other books
we had a little couple you know, risque areas in there.
Well yeah, that's because the parents were bullying me when
(11:18):
they would buy the books, and you know, they were
not serious. Yes, So when I did Charlotte Maine event,
which was Mental's Wealth Expo, and you know, I was
selling out and a lot of the parents was like,
this is such a great idea, you need to come
up with teens. And I was like, well with teens,
I'm like, well, some of my conversations on the show. Yeah,
(11:39):
I mean some of my conversations on the shows a
little bit, you know, a little colorful. So not only
nobody mama coming to me as a woman. And they
was like, yeah, but we rather than hear from somebody
like us, And so a lot of them were still
support some of them would turn the pages out or
they just like fuck it, they gonna come across it anyway.
Or even when I was in the bookstorey they was
censoring the books for their kids. Yeah, like they was
because they wanted and I think that they saw their
(12:02):
beauty and what these books mean to those who want
to engage in something that's different but still like you said,
like you know, relaxing and just to unplug. And and also,
like you said, we never seen storytelling and art combined
like this, So I think that it was kind of cool.
And I was just like, Okay, can I do something
with teens? Like granted adult, this is still an adult
(12:24):
coloring book, but this is gear It's appropriate for sixteen
and up. But I just think it's so cool how
we was able to take this idea and like really
run with and also tell people how hard we work
because we're tip asleep, but I'm up late sending emails. Edit,
don't do that. Well, tell me up late too, But
she gonna be she'd be like, it depends on the day,
(12:47):
like because sometimes you'd be like, all right, I'm going
to bed, and then sometimes i'll wake up, I'll send
something late, and then you'll be like, oh, I see
you up working, and I'll be like, yeh, I couldn't sleep.
I was just gonna pump these pages out because you know,
once I log off, like once this laptop gets shut,
I ain't respond to nothing. And there'll be times that
you will text me and be like, all right, Tip,
I just got like one thing, and I'd be like, girl,
(13:10):
and the tip don't play no games. When she's done,
she's done it, You'd be like you such an old woman.
I'd be like, I'm gonna get my fee and I'm
about to get my bed, and you you're so old.
I'm like, yes, because I just need to discon Like
last night we both was on the phone, yo, and
you were just I just need to call to tell
you one thing like one. I'm just like girl, I
was eating dinner, like I put my phone down, like
(13:32):
I wasn't even I feel tip like twice and then
you and then when I know what it called tip,
she knows I'm excited because she sent me the layout
and I was like, oh my god, this is so
fucking dope. Yah. At the bag, I was like, I
know what she called it about to fere like, I
was like, let me call her bed. I was like,
cause I know she ain't aboudy to go to sleep.
(13:52):
Let me call her back and see what she got
to say, and that's exactly what I picked that the phone,
he was just like, yo, I just want to send anything.
Before that too, was just like I love you dog
Like I was like you be Odie, I do. I'd
be mad dramatic right every time, every time. But look,
(14:12):
we love the energy. But you know what it is.
I think that's the most rewarding part about working with
you is because I can visualize something and you just
capture it, like and I think that's the beauty of us,
like working together for so long, Like it's just effortless,
Like I can tell tips something and it can be
so fucking crazy. But the way she can be able
to just take whatever's in my mind and put she's laughing,
(14:33):
but just to put it on pen and paper is
like so crazy to me because there's literally like all
these ideas and stuff be in my head. And it's
very hard for you to meet people and to have
an artistic relationship with them and they just get it.
Like sometimes it takes time, but I feel like with us,
it's just clicked and it grew it and grew it
and grew it, and even last night, like we don't
even have to finish, finish the sentence that we're trying
(14:54):
to say, because we just we there. I was like,
what about it if we do? And you were like
in an ad this, and I was like in the
ad this, and you was like exactly exactly right. And
I was like, I'll work on it. I'll send it over.
And I sent it over. It was like this is
it like this? Right? So we talked about how the
series evolved from volume one to volume three, which you
(15:15):
can purchase now. But how do you balance keeping a
series consistent while also introducing fresh ideas woo Chile. I
think that's like art in general, though, like it's in branding,
Like you don't want your brand to feel stale, so
you're constantly thinking of ways to make sure it feels fresh,
(15:38):
Like Evergreen is like content that you can use like
over and over again, like something that doesn't get stale.
And so doing the coloring book, we have a specific style, right,
so I have a specific illustrating style, like I don't
normally do like eyes, like I'm not really doing facial expressions.
So that's consistent across the coloring books, which I like,
(16:01):
and a lot of people are really indifferent about that.
I remember when I first started illustrating and they were like,
well can you can you do like the eyes and
like the nose, And I'm like, I don't really do that,
Like it's more like minimalists. Like I'll get into like
all of that. If anything, there's details in like the
clothes or the background or something along those lines, but
I'm not doing facial expressions. I may give some lips.
(16:22):
That's about it. And I think from volume one to
volume three, like especially if you have them side by side,
you can kind of see as we just start adding
a little more every time, like volume one, like what's
so safe, Like it's so like that's the bag. Yeah. Yeah,
we utilized the page, but we didn't utilize the page
(16:43):
like I did, right. I did the subject. Here's the
box with the QR code. Here's the episode title. Uh.
The second one we did along the same lines, but
then we added uh other details they would probably you know,
like if you listen to this one, you should probably
listen to this one. And then we started adding a
(17:05):
little bit more details in there, and then three I
was like, girl, and I was like more more. She
was like, I was like, we're gonna have to hop
on a call because, like I said, one draft and
you were like, so I just think like we should
do this throughout the book for consistency. And I was like,
this wasn't discussed. This wasn't discussed. But I was like, okay, fair.
(17:30):
I was like, I'm gonna do it so you can
see what it looks like. And we did it, and
I was like, okay, like this is actually crazy. And
then you were thinking about pulling in the quotes and
you were like, you know what what if I pull
in some dialogue that goes with these images? And I'm like, yeah, okay,
I'm like I don't know where we gonna like, how
are we gonna put that in there? And you were like,
(17:51):
I'm gonna pull some quotes. I'm gonna pull some quotes,
and I'm put it in. We pulled the quotes, and now
it's like this whole scenic landscape thing with all the
shape up whatnot, Like we really there's really so much
of detail. Like I have favorite pages, as you know,
but there's just so much detail across. And again it's
(18:14):
the biggest book. It's like three times the size of
Volume one, probably, oh yeah, for sure. Volume one is
like five pages compared to Volume three, Like no, seriously,
like it's volume three is like really thick, it's huge.
(18:36):
What's up, y'all, It's Shagirl ebn a here, and be
sure to follow me on Instagram and TikTok at pretty
private podcasts, and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube
channel at the Professional Homegirl. Now let's get back to
the show. But one thing I want to touch on.
I love the fact that you don't add facial expressions
because I feel like that really conveys the message of
(18:58):
what the Professional Homegirls stands for, which means there's a
professional homegirl all of us. So when we have these illustrations,
I just think it's so cool that people can see
themselves in the pictures or in the illustrations from the
coloring book. And when I was doing the Mental Wealthy
expo for Charlottemagne, one of the girls got emotional because
(19:18):
she said that she never seen a coloring book where
the illustration had tattoos on them. Stop really, yes, I
never seen that either, And I was like, that's what
I wanted, Like I wanted people to see themselves and
to evoke some type of emotion where they like they
get it, you know what I'm saying. I think that's
(19:39):
the beauty of this coloring book. It's like there's something
for everybody. When you look at this color and book,
you see somebody, you know, you see yourself. That's interesting.
I've never like thought about the fact that there may
not be I mean, obviously there are holes that need
to be filled across you know, and you know, different
things that are put out. But I never even thought
(20:01):
about when we did that one, that there were and
you wanted those tattoos on there. I literally you didn't
want the tattoos. I was just like we added many
things like I literally because that was the page from
book one with the two homegirls that are shopping, like
one got like a fade situation and then one got
like a head wrapper a butN on has like a
two top on and you were like had like some
(20:21):
tattoos on arm and I was like, oh man, I can,
but like why And then we had the paw prints
with the girl, the thicker girl at the beach. Yeah
I forgot about that. I forgot about we had a
whole in her little bikini was ye know, the animal
print on it. So yeah, we definitely, We've come a
long way from you know, on like we were really
(20:45):
and I'll say we you have other ideas you planning
on expanding expanding this color vampire. And I also would
say that I love the dialogue too that we that
I picked out for the book because I feel like
I wanted to be very intentional about the dollar, because
I want people to feel as if that they are
this is speaking life over what they have going on
(21:05):
or into their situation. Did you notice that, Yeah? You
definitely the affirmation page, the Clockett page. Yeah, I was
about to say the affirmation page, like the Clockett page
and the word what is it? Word search? Like this
book is definitely a lot of like affirming and even
(21:25):
like the pivot manifesto area. Yeah, oh well, there you
go full circle about like affirming like where you are,
who you are, what you can do, Like that's literally
all throughout the book. And then of course, you know
you're sprinkling some other little, you know, cute things, but
there's definitely a good bit in there that is definitely gonna,
(21:49):
you know, give somebody a little bit of enlightenment that
they might need. Yeah, what is your favorite page from
volume three colog the bag page, probably the bag page
really or or I like the like the organized chaos
of it. Either the bag page. To tell her to
add more to that one. I was like more and
more listening. I was like, this is one page we
(22:12):
can only add, but so many things on here. But
it came out. It came because you gotta you gotta
overlap it. You gotta overlap it. You ate with that
over I think between that one and I don't know.
I like the I don't want to like say a
bunch of them, but I like the cowgirl also that
you ate with that one, like the cowgirl one. There's
(22:32):
a couple that I'm like, okay, like this is cute.
This is what's your favorite page? Because you like gassing
me on everyone. So I don't even know, Like I
can't even guess what your yo I show be telling
like this is fire, this is everything, every like what's
my favorite page? I definitely love the clocket page. So
(22:56):
I was telling top off Air and I think I
shared this with you all that I been into like
reading the Bible more so. I've been listening to the
Bible every night, and I wrote down some of my
favorite scriptures that when I wake up. I read it
every morning, or at least I try to, and I
incorporate that into the book. And it was just so
cool because I felt like we did such a great
job with combining you know, new school with old school,
(23:19):
and I, oh, yeah, most generation. Oh it's so it's
so so so far. I love that, love that page.
What's another page I love? I mean, all of them
are so dope. I love the flow Joe page. Huh.
I was like, there's so many, there's so many, so many.
(23:40):
I love the flow Joe page. I think that was fire. Ooh,
that was fire, fire, fire, fire? What else? I feel
like all of them. I think every single page means
something different to me. I think what I most, what
I love most is just like you said, a dialogue.
I think the dialogue just hits when you read it.
And like even with the police officer page when she's
(24:03):
talking about how what she want to be remembered by,
or even with the calgirl page. You know, I thought
it would be funny to to incorporate you know, they
have lineage of horses and where they come from. But
you can't. You need to tell me, you don't know
what we had any black cowboys, Like that's crazy. And
I love the Barbie page. And I love the bar
page so much because I love how we were able
(24:23):
to use a part of the dialogue and correlate the
history of black Barbie to black womanhood. Oh so good.
I think the quotes. I think the quotes in this
one definitely make it dope that you have those excerpts
on the side for people to see. The quotes so good.
I also like how it corresponds like and I did it, duh.
(24:43):
But I like how it corresponds to like the main page,
like we made sure we continued out like through some
little pageants in there. I think it ended up really well,
Like it's laid out really well, even the order it is.
And I love the pivot page. Love, love, love the pivot.
Pivot that done it And it's not even done, y'all.
(25:04):
But I think I love it so much because I
think a lot of times that we are so afraid
to pivot and to try something new. And if you
listen to my the first episode of this season, I
was really struggling before season three came out to a
point where I really wanted to, like, you know what,
this may not be it for me so to be
able to pivot and just like you know what, let
me just surrender and just trust the process and to
see all the many great things that have came from
(25:26):
just that one. Yes, was like, oh, I can't wait
for y'all to see the page next. So but it's
so fire. It's like listen at least you know, I'm excited,
Like I'm excited about this shit. Look, that's all that matters.
That's all. The one thing you don't want someone to
do is fake the bunk, especially if you're like working
(25:47):
with them on things that are like being produced, Like
you don't ever want you know, I'm not making it.
I know you're not, but you don't ever want. Like
imagine doing a collab with somebody and they're like, yeah,
this is so dope, and then later you find out
like they was like yeah, straight, yeah, you imagine, and
but it's been out to the public and they're like, yeah,
it's cool, Like I couldn't do anything else, Like but
(26:08):
you legit aro out here like yeah not like this
gas like I love it, Like it's amazing, Like you
legit will stand like an all caps yeah or email
or call and be like literally sometimes the call is
like seven seconds. You'd be like, I'm gonna let you
go because it's late, but I just gotta let you know.
And the fucking fire I'll be twenty two seconds long
(26:30):
and I'll be like, I'm talking to youmorrow, and that's
my tip. Tell me so monotone, y'all. Like I'd be
on a thousand tip, be on a calm twenty like
all right, I'd be like yeah, yeah, even last and
he was like, yeah, this is I just wanted it
was lit. Like I'd be laughing in these text messages
of my little gifts, like even when I asked y'all,
was like, ye have what kind of fruit? And you
(26:51):
was like type of fruit is whit girl? Okay? So
speaking of that, So in this coloring book, we also
have ads, which was fire. I told about this simple
was like, yo, like how did you come up with this?
So I selected certain people or certain entrepreneurs to be
a part of this, and I wanted to be very
selective because I wanted to support these women and I
(27:12):
truly believe in what they do, and so we're gonna
also have them on the show they talk about their business.
But we have of course Lisan Basciat talking about her podcast,
Shaping Freedom podcast which I was also a guest on,
and it's absolutely amazing. And how dope is that they
have involved in the coloring book, right, so what is
like stop plays? And then also we have my homegirl.
(27:34):
She has been with me since day one. She is
like the epitome of the professional homegirls, Zena where her
business which is called doing the Most well Yeah, do
the most Wellness, which I loved, Yeah, right, doing the
most Wellness. So, and then we also have one of
my close friends. She is also a part of the
as called Pint Size Faith. So we it's so cool
(27:56):
how we was able to incorporate these different elements into
this coloring. But that's something it just doesn't feel like
a coloring book anymore. Like I feel like this is
something that you can go to till you can't go
to it no more. It'll last. Oh it's gonna last
you for a minute. Now it'll last. Like there's definitely
the ad thing. I remember you called me and you
were just like, yeah, what do you think about me
(28:17):
having ads in here? And I was like, well, I
was like that makes sense. I was like, well, how
do you I was like, we're gonna illustrate a page
for them, Like how do we want to do it?
So like yeah, you were like, I mean it makes
sense right, like I can get them to send over information.
And I said, sure, but we can do it. So
let's see get in here. And we got them in
(28:40):
here and they turned out. I thought they were really great.
I love so good, but I love them. But again
that was when do you see an ad in the
coloring book? I know it's and then these are women
who have amazing businesses. And she's earlier when you mentioned
she was talking about the fruit, so you know, being
(29:00):
a nutritionist, a wellness coach, all of these great things.
You know, we sent over her ad for us for
her to just approve it, and you know me, I'm like,
we need to fill up the walls. We need to
add something. So I was like, you know, what do
you feel about us? We do not like white space.
I don't like like I wouldn't be surprised if, like
in your Forever Home you are an Afro maximalist. Yeah,
(29:22):
like three single space filled because if there was white space,
you'd be like, tip, I think we need to I
think we need to fill something up in here and
I'm like, nope, we don't. I'm telling you, I do
not like space. And so I was telling her, I
was like, we need to add some fruit on the wall.
And then it was like, oh I love that idea. Yes,
And I'm like, tell what have you? That wasn't even her.
(29:47):
I'm thinking this came from her. People like I'm like,
can you say, like, can you ask her for specific
She was like, what's hyper fruit? I'm like, I don't
know till what niggas like grapes? Strawberry girl, I'm like,
not what niggas like, like what are you? I'm like,
niggas like arawbery, you know, bananas? Right. I was like,
(30:12):
but it's it's so good job, Oh my god? But
what would you say? Has been the most challenging when
it comes to creating Volume three because I feel like
with Volume three three and also be talking about Volume
four later on, but with them being the most intricate,
uh color and books that we have created, what's the
biggest challenge for you? The same thing that's always a
challenge reference referencing, finding like an image or multiple that
(30:39):
depict like what I see. Because you'll say something and
I'll go, okay, like in my head, I can see
what I want this to look like in my mind.
Exist listen November Christmas music starts. I can't wait even
now in the days, like I will see it in
my head, but I need to like see a kick
(31:00):
sure of like the positioning because sometimes I'm like, okay,
well I want like the black cowgirl page. Like in
my head, I was like, okay, I want a woman
that pages with a horse, and I'm like, but like,
do I want her holding the horse? Do I want
her beside the horse? I was like, don't want her
riding the horse. I'm like, no, I want her beside
the horse, and so like I found a separate image
of a woman with a horse, but I was like,
(31:22):
I don't want her face turned that way. So then
I had to find a separate picture of like the
face angle that I was wanted was like m I
was like, but I don't like the hat that she
got on. So then I had to find a picture
of the hat. But I like specifically wanted so I
could like cause I'm I'm collaging everything, like I'm grabbing
reference pictures and I'm just taking a little bit from
(31:43):
each of them, and then I'm putting them all together
and then I'm tweaking the lines to like make sure
that it flows like how I wanted to flow, Like, Oh,
I want her to have a braid, but I'm like, dang,
I can't, like, let me find a braid that I
really but I want a black girl braid, like I
want a thick braid right right, like trying to find
like a reference image of like who had a braid?
I don't know if you did. I changed the policewoman page.
(32:05):
She got a short haircut that's halle Berry like a
reference image, and was like, who has it? I was like,
I was like nineties. I like searched like nineties black
hair and was like short haircuts coming back. I'm like,
who had great? I was like halle Berry and I
found an image like halle Berry. I was like, this
is how I want the hair to look like. So
it's just the beauty of it. Oh God, I'm telling you,
(32:26):
and I think that those little details I'm telling you
like I cannot one day, hopefully you will be able
to meet in person, and then you can also just
come to an event with me so you can just
see the reactions I received, because sometimes it's just like overwhelming.
Like when I tell you when I did that event
and my class was completely fulled, I was like, oh shit,
I gotta wait this, but I'll just side. I was prepared,
(32:50):
but it was just like I was not expecting those
type of emotions. Like people were very emotional because people
have never seen like I think in the first Color
Room Book, we had a girl sitilling on the poor
and she has some money in her hand yep, Like
it's just like, where are you seeing pictures like that?
It's like, this is representation of what I grew up
with women that you probably saw and the women who
we are who we would like to become. So I
(33:13):
think that the fact that you care about the details
of a black girl, a black hair bray or the
halle Berry cut, things of that nature, that I think
that's what really sets this coloring book apart from the rest. Yeah,
we really have to try, like I know, uh, coloring
books or you know they're universal, Yeah, but you're literally
a black woman with a our fro. It's like, come on, now,
(33:38):
black women out here with these black women coming on
your show, like then that is like the Devin we
want people to be seen in this coloring book, like
we want them to see like images of themselves where
like people they know or who they could be. And
you know, I think that's like the best thing about
being able to illustrate this and find those reference in
(34:00):
image that everybody like the page one of the activity
pages where we have like the pop culture references, like
you won't be able to look at that and be
like my mom said that, like I know, like it's
for the culture, so it's comforting like in that way,
I know what Nigga made this book because it's so black,
Like I love it. I was like some of these quotes.
(34:21):
I was like, let me find some quotes. I was like,
what I feel be saying out here? What a girls
are saying on TikTok. Let me find let me find
some things that people talk about. And you was like,
oh yeah, add this, add this. I'm like, okay, Ben,
We're gonna add this in. But you, like you don't
know that it was for us, by us, which is great.
I love that. Have I ever gave you an idea
that she was like, girl, this ain't it because I
feel like one thing about you and one thing about
(34:43):
us when we were working together. I feel like we
both handle feedback really well. I don't know if you've
ever given me an idea where I was like, ugh,
like this ain't it because we always like you'll give
an idea and I'll just like turn it. Like you
have a Rubik's clue cube in the side side you're
looking at it's white, the side I'm looking at its green,
(35:05):
and then I can turn it and we both looking
at blue. Then we kind of like that's kind of
like how we end up working. Like you'll say something,
I say something, and then we kind of ping pong
off of each other and end up bringing it back.
So there's never like an idea that you've given me
where I've been like nah, like this is wage. I
(35:25):
don't think there's ever been like a situation that that's happened,
because again, like you take good feed like, you take
feedback really well, and if I say something like I
don't like or I'm just like, oh, let's like do
it this way, You're usually like, oh, yeah, like let's
try that, and it ends up like coming together from
what we both said, so good, You're yeah, I ain't
(35:47):
never have the How do you stay motivate? When you're
doing like lung projects. Cause I think like last name,
when we was on the phone, I was like, oh, tell,
I'm tired of this shit. Like I was so tired,
and then were about to start up with volume three.
I was just I mean volume four, I'm like, I'm like,
You're not tired looking at this shit? How do I
stay motivated? Truthfully, I don't. There be times and it's
(36:10):
fact like there are just times when you know you
just need to get something done right, Like we get
to a point it's just like before you went on
your trip to Pati. Yes, Like it's like you were
just like, yo, I'm at a point where I just
feel like this, and I was like, fair like because
I too. I feel like both was in the same boat. Yeah,
(36:31):
but you feel like you just need to step away
from something for a little bit and then come back
to it with fresh eyes. And so like we've been
working and honestly, we haven't been working on this book long,
Like we've been working on the book long, but we
haven't been working on the book long. Like this started
at the beginning of the end of July, beginning of August,
so like this has only been a month, but I
(36:52):
think because of the amount of detail that's in here,
Like that's where we've kind of been draining, like going
back and forth with pingpo on you because you have
that think tank and we're virtual and so the only
like way we're communicating with through text message and through
email and then like an occasional phone call. So people
(37:12):
don't want to be on the phone all day. People
don't want to be texting all day. You don't want
to email all day. So when we're going back and forth,
I'm sure that's where it comes in that we're a
little drained because we're like boom boom boom, boom boom,
because this is multiple times out the week that we're
having conversations, and I feel like we talk every day.
When we in color Coloring book mode, we are talking
(37:33):
texting every day all day. In the morning, you'd be like, ooo, child,
my god, today I'm up like I'm fling like this,
and I'd be like bad. Sometimes I don't even respond
until later, like a I'm sending you pages or just
emailed you, and then I'll send you something and you'd
be like, Okay, well I'm gonna send you something in
the morning. Like the motivation. It comes and goes. But
(37:56):
I think that's also just like being a creative, Like
in that space as a creative, there are a lot
of times when I just know I just have to
do it because I need to get it done. But
that's like any like everybody don't like going to their
job every morning, But what is it? Wake up? Get
this bread? Like yeah, So I think that's where it
(38:18):
comes in, Like I just know I gotta I know,
I gotta do it, and I know it's gonna be
like fruitful. I know, like the end result. Because I've
told my brother about this color and book fifty times.
What did you tell them? Like, Oh, I've still I've
showed them pages like we be on our sibling like
video chat and sometimes like I'll be like, okay, so
this is this page like and I'll be like scrolling
(38:38):
slowly through it like here's my phone, like all right,
so this is this like this And what did they say? Was?
What was their feedback? One? Like He's just like you've
been really working like on this book and I'm just
like yeah, man, like I'm trying to get it. He
was like, oh, that's actually fire, Like this book is
so fire? Are y'all. I know I keep saying this,
but hands down, you mean it. I mean it. I
(39:01):
mean it. But I think that's the beauty of having
somebody like you to work with, because I feel like
during that time before season three K, we both were
just like we was, we was done. But I feel
like one of us always have enough. We always have
enough motivation in the size of a mustard seed to
(39:21):
motivate the other to keep going, because I feel like
we take turns, like we're always having the same emotion,
but it's never to a point where we both like
we tapping out. Because I remember I was like, damn,
I don't think we're going to make this book in time.
And yep, and girl, I take Tip at like four
o'clock in the morning. Was early. You was like, She's like,
(39:43):
be honest, now, like like I'm getting worried, and I just,
you know, I just feel like and I was like,
I'm not worried. Listen. She was not worried. And my girl, Tip,
I'm telling y'all. She pushed. She gave me like, what
eight drawings, eight illustrations. I was like something like that.
I was like, listen, I've been working. I haven't been working,
But I've been working, I've been seeing it. I was like,
(40:11):
so since you asked about motivation for me, like, because
you were also in that slump, like and I look
just like yesterday you were like, I'm tired, So like,
what what makes you keep going? I think what makes
me keep going is so when I have these ideas
and I have these like things that I want to
accomplish in my mind, the way it works, it's already done,
(40:32):
so I can already see the finished product, right, But
for me, I'm trying to catch up to the finished product.
So I think that what keeps me going because everything
that we're doing I already visualize, like I can see,
and I think that's the beauty. I'm so thankful to
have somebody that can also see my vision because a
lot of people just can't see it. And I think
that you do such a great job with just taking
everything out of my brain because sometimes it just be
(40:54):
so chaotic, and you just put it in the book
and it's just so beautiful. And I think when we
get to the end result and then when we see
people reactions like I know what this book is gonna
do to people, Like I know what this book is
going to do because I didn't have anything like this
when I was growing up. And the only thing that
I can reference is I cannot remember this book for
the life of me. But when I was a young
(41:16):
a teenager or maybe a preteen, I had this book
that was teaching me about periods because I was about
to start my period and I was going through puberty.
But this book was so and if I see this book,
I probably started crying because this book was so good.
Like it was interactively, Yes, it was interactive. It was
like informative. It told me a lot about puberty and
(41:38):
going through my journey with my cycle, and that's what
I want this book to be. And I just feel
like what we were creating is just it's so freaking dope.
And I feel like I love volume one, Volume two
because I think we was able to create this beautiful foundation.
But Volume three and four is going it's gonna take over.
I know it is. And then we you know, we're
(41:59):
working on the coloring books for which should be up
really soon. You know, we have so many people that
are supporting us. We're already in ten bookstories. So the
goal is to get into more bookstores and do more,
you know, meet and Greece and stuff. But I just
think that us working together and like even hearing you
get excited about certain things and your feedback and stuff, Like,
I think that's what keeps me motivated because I know
what the bigger picture is because I've already seen it.
(42:30):
Love the bigger picture. Yeah, like it's bigger than us,
Like I just don't think that. Like I'm telling you,
all it takes is one little girl to see this
and we have changed the trajectory of her life. And
I really do believe that this is what this book
is about. Like we have so many different women stories
that are being highlighted, from freaking flow Joe Yes to
(42:54):
moking stuff to see thus world, Like we have so
many not even just people who we know, but just
the police officers that are doing their job and doing
the right thing, or even therapists that we're highlighting. Like
it's just so freaking who I would have never thought
that I would make it be in a podcaster. Yeah.
(43:15):
I also think like this book, especially for the younger
like kids who end up buying it, I also think
this is a great time like for them to get
exposure to Yes because see this world they weren't born,
they wasn't but who whatever thought that. I mean, see,
the world was way beyond, way ahead of his time.
And look at Ai. Now yeah, I'll say that was
(43:36):
in the early two thousands. Like hypnotherapy, Like people are
not talking about hypnotherapy like at all. Like I mean,
I you know, I love alternative you know ways of
you know, healing and all these things. Like I think
that's definitely a great way for them to get exposure
to these things, whether it be a new career path
with like thean or seeing like an entrepreneur that's literally
(44:00):
their age running a whole facility. Like, I think that's
just a great way for them to get exposure to
these means, and especially since you know, we kind of
dund it down a little mild for this one for
their parents, you know, Rady Well pg. Thirteen. So I
think that'll definitely be good for them to listen to
these stories and then also be like I never heard
this name before, let me google it. Yes, and that's
(44:22):
to be Oh, that's so dope, because I feel like,
like you said, we're introducing something that was part of
our generation. Well I'm a little bit older than you,
but a part of my generation to a new generation,
and hopefully we can expire and spark some type of
creativity for them to pursue something similar on their own path.
So I think that is so freaking dope. Yeah, ma'am.
(44:45):
So what do you huh? Raising the kids? Them? Raising
these kids shout and these niggas. So what do you
hope read this experience or feel when they color your work?
You can't raise a man ky Michelle said it. What
do I want them to experience? Like? What do you
feel like we're leaving on the world? What's our remark
(45:07):
with these the professional homegirir coloring books. I just hope
people enjoy. Like I'm an artist sensitive about my mean stuff,
and I think, you know, a lot of times I'll
be coming off like hard, like yaw, she's making this
like I don't really care, but I do want people
(45:28):
to enjoy it. It does give me joy when people
are like, oh yeah, like I love that that was fire,
Like this was great, Like you did a really good job.
I can't believe. Like I like those reactions that you're
saying that you get, like from those people who look
at it, like I like hearing that that's great because
I again, I was like, it's just a tattoo, like
I just put this on on her arm, and she
(45:49):
was just like, I'm like, ad the tattoo, Tip, I'm
telling you. I'm like in my head, I'm like, it's
not that deep. It's not that deep. But to hear
like someone's like, yeah, I love that. Girl was crying. Girl,
she worked girl. So she opened up the floodgates because
everybody started telling their stories. I'm like, I told Tip,
I told Tip, Yeah, why we have the back and forth.
But Lee, I want to feel some kind of like
(46:12):
I want them to feel no joy, Like coloring is
here to induce joy, relieve stress. Like I want them
whatever their intended goal is for coloring, like I want
them to achieve that, like whether it's a stress reliever,
whether it's they just need a time to themselves on
their lunch break, like I want them to achieve that,
(46:32):
like whatever it is that they set out to do.
So I hope like it friends people joy. I hope
it was a this hard work. It was I don't
cry to create these things. So like that's literally me
in front of my computer for hours, like clicking and
(46:53):
moving and looking up imagery. So I hope hard work. Yeah,
I'm hoping like for me doing that they feel, you know,
that comfort that they're they're looking for when they're opening
the coloring book and pulling out their pencils. Yes, so
let's talk about volume four. So Volume four is going
(47:13):
to be why because we gonna see how they're We're
gonna see how it turns out. Yeah. So volume four
is the rated R version, the not safer work version
of volume three. So I'm super excited about this because
I feel like we can really get risky, get spicy.
We can put a bunch of nonsense in there, a
(47:35):
bunch of penises. It could really go left. We could
really go left because it is and w like. And
that's the thing, Like we haven't really talked about it
in depth because we've been working on three. Like we
have the episodes listed that we're adding in, but we
(47:55):
haven't like talked about because usually when we start a book,
you give me the episodes and I say, hey, you
have any ideas for how these pages want to look? Like?
Let me know. We haven't gotten to there yet. Yeah,
I don't know what you're going to send me? YEA,
what you want something that looked like, So that's that's
the part that will be interesting. Yeah, And just to
(48:18):
touch on the process of how we get to a
point where we're like, now we're talking. We collaborate non
stop and text and all this other stuff. So before
I get the tip, I depending on what the theme is,
and I want to say, for the most part, this
is the first time that we ever did a theme
where we're highlighting professional women and entrepreneurs. So what I
do is I go through my catalog all of my
(48:38):
episodes from Pretty Private with Ebna. I was going to say,
a professional homegirl podcast. Right, it's so good, brand baby,
give up about the reband regular? Yeah, like you that rebrand.
I was like, what's this and you were like yeah girl.
I was like, okay, Billboard, I was like, this is nice.
(49:01):
Listen when I tell you the good Lord gave it
to me. He was like, huh girl, damn yeah, look
that is that is the ultimate glow up. That name.
Oh thank you, it's so good. It is very good.
How did you come? What happened? You slept? Did you
wake up one morning? So I'm really good with names, right,
but I go through this whole thought process. So I'm
(49:22):
just like I'm asking. I'm like, God, give me something, like,
I need something that's good. I need something nobody has, yes,
and we are in the process. Again, it is being trademark,
so you can't take it. But but yeah, I'm just like, what, like,
I need something that's gonna be able to encompass what
the show is about, because I feel like one of
the main reason why I was struggling so much because
(49:43):
everybody was calling the Professional Homegirl. Everybody loved the name,
but I feel like the Professional Homegirl it just grew
like now we got niggas on the show, we got
spooky series, like, we got so many different things. And
even though who we are as a community is Professional
home Girls, I don't think that that we upgrew the
name pretty much. So I'm just like, I need something,
(50:04):
but it needs to be something good, Like it need
to be something when you read it, it's like, oh shit,
like what this about whatever? And so I just meditated
on it and when my y'all just give y'all some
tea behind the scenes, uh, you know, in order for
me to get this support from my network, I literally
had like a tight deadline. I think I had like
a week to come up with this, right, And I
was really freaking out because I was like a week, Like,
(50:26):
but if I wanted to get the push and be
on everybody rail stations, I had to come up with
a name. And so I don't know, Like I sit
and then I just think of different words, like different
words will come to me and like and this is
what happened with Professional Homegirl. And then I write stuff
down and then I'm like, what is something that people
say that you know that they will normally stay when
they key can whatever. And then it just came to me.
(50:48):
They was like it was like pretty private, and I
was like, oh shit. I was like, niggas still say
pretty private. And then I started using the system. I'm like,
oh yeah, cause then some people say I'm pretty open whatever,
hence the pretty open seres read. And then next thing,
you know, I started seeing pretty private everywhere and I
was like, come on, God, yes, because how God talks
to me is in repetition. So I was just like yes,
(51:10):
and then that's how I came up with it. Nobody
has his name pretty private with epinay, so yeah, because
I'm a pretty private person, you know, yes, right, It's
so good. So it works. It works. So with that
being said, I go through the catalog and I just
like write out all the episodes that match with the themes.
(51:30):
So I did all the episodes and then also parents,
if your child hears something, well a little hurst word
here and there, my apologies. I really try to keep
it PG. Thirteen. But then and then also once I
have all my episodes and I hit started communication up
with tell like, hey, this is what I'm thinking about.
Which ones do you think we should go towards. Obviously
(51:50):
I went with a lot of of my episodes that
were from my within my partnership because the quality was better,
the conversations got better. I feel like I really evolved
as a you know, a conversationalist. And then we go
from there and then we just start streamlining and fine
tuning everything and then we start the illustration. So yeah,
(52:12):
so volume four, you know, it's going to be the
Not Safe Work Edition, and I'm super excited about that,
and we're gonna be inclusive of all types of jobs
and I just cannot wait for you to see what
we have in store all types of jobs. Yeah, let's
dive on that sheet. If I recall again, I can't
imagine what you're gonna be, like, hey girl, do dos
(52:34):
everywhere with this lady on the bed sitting backwards. I
can because in the first one we did have a
sex worker, but it was PG. Though I was about
to say it was tame, like she like was on
the bed or she was doing like a video. She's
like virtually, yeah, you was like had her bronze trapped down.
(52:55):
There's like what cream on the bed. Like it wasn't
even we believe in safe sex. Yeah, like it wasn't
any right, It wasn't even anything crazy. But now I
feel like you're gonna be like half the titty out,
like you're going to tell me, and I'm gonna be like,
I feel like Till is going to be so stressed
when me come volume four and remind y'all volume four
(53:15):
what so you can pre order volume three now. Volum
three is gonna ship out in September, but Volume four
is gonna literally be ready within the end of September,
and I feel like Tip is going to be so
stressed me because I'm like, yo, give me some give
me a little nipple action or something like come on, Tip,
like my girl, like what do you want. I just
feel like this is just going to be so outrageous,
(53:40):
Like I already know this email that you say with
these ideas, I'm gonna be looking at that question where
you ask is like is there any idea that you
ever turned down and be like no, I'm like this
email and I'm be like, so this is what she
wants me to do. Like but we balanced each other out,
we do cause I'm like so extreme, I'm like I
want this. It'll be like, okay, let's dial it back.
(54:01):
This is what we can do, Like yeah, let's let's
let's think this out. And I just know I know
someone's gonna be holding their titties in this book. I know.
It was so funny because in one of the illustrations,
I'm like, show some titty, like give I look at
little deep cut or something. You legit you was like, yeah,
give her like something like it was clean. I remember, yeah,
(54:22):
because that was she had on a corset, a corset
with a Jesus feed like a Cuban necklace. Like I
was like, girl, hold on. Or the girl that was
in a wheelchair, she on some high heels or something.
I feel like it's on strappy heels. I was like, Okay,
I get it, like fair, I understand, but so I'm
(54:43):
very interested to see like your ideas for this book. Yeah,
it's gonna be so good, y'all. I'm like, do you
have any questions from me? Sis? I call her boss.
I don't know, as I say, yeah, I don't know
any because we talked so we talk so much here
that I don't even know, Like, so do you have
(55:05):
any the one question do you have anything after book four?
Like how far is this series gonna go? I don't know.
I mean as far as we can take it. I mean,
I'm definitely excited about the color and book tour. You know.
I think that by me doing a Mental Wealth Expo,
a Charlamagne's event that he does every year and it's free,
(55:27):
you can definitely come out of support and hopefully I'll
be back this year. But I didn't know that it
was like you can do like different things with it,
like a workshop and like having people color and like
I won't give too much away because I am going
on a tour, but I'm just super excited to connect
with people and to encourage like just relax and let's
have some type of connection and let's just keep key
(55:48):
and have a good time, because I do think that,
you know, our lives are not in vain, and I
think that's the beauty of pretty private with Ebanay is
you know, these are storylines that are really becoming people lifelines.
And I think that when you have uh these spaces
and then it also ties back into your childhood and
like it's just so many different things that's going on
at once. So I'm definitely looking forward to this tour.
(56:10):
We just got booked for our first location and best
Side Star. I'll be sharing that really soon. And then
we got some locations going on within the different bookstores
back at home in Memphis and Nashville. Hopefully I'll be
in Miami. Hopefully i'd be wed tip ads so we
can come out and she can come out and I
can introduce her to come out. So yes, but I'm
just really excited about what the future holds. But I
don't think that I think we gonna keep going until
(56:33):
we can go no more. And I think that we
get bigger and bigger. I'll say, at some point, you're
gonna have to at least a digital version that people
can do on the iPads and stuff. Yeah, right, right, Well,
I was thinking about this is something I've been working
on for many years. It's creating up the Professional Homegirl app.
And within the app, it'll have the digital current pages
(56:55):
you or the Professional Homegirl Activity book, which yeah, what
a little activity book now? Rights like when we was
kids and you get the little activity books and you
like fill in the blank and like the crosswords and
all that. Or maybe just the coloring book digitalized like
you said, Oh, that's actually a good idea. You would
love the color digitally. I don't, I know, but there
(57:18):
is a marketplace for that. Yeah, I still need to
hold a pencil or those stupid expensive markers that I bought. Yeah,
and I think this goes back to like just thinking
outside the box, like who I mean, granted I have
the podcast, but who would have ever thought that? Now?
And then an extension of the podcast is a coloring book.
Mm hmm. So I'm just excited, my little brain baby.
(57:41):
Come on now, I guarantee for Book four you're gonna
send another twist in turn. No, I actually have a
really buyer idea, but I'm gonna tell you off the air.
It's I'm like Book four, it's actually so cool, but
I have to figure I'm gonna do it. So yeah,
(58:02):
but Tip, I'm just so thankful for you. I just
I always give you praises, but you have been such
a joy to work with. We've been doing this for
since twenty nineteen, and this has been one of my
favorite relationships I've ever been in. So I just can't
thank you enough. I'm just so grateful, and I'm just
so thankful that God has allowed me to meet somebody
(58:23):
that can just take what's in my mind and put
it out on paper so beautifully. So thank you so much,
sus I really appreciate you, no problem. I'm glad you
found me. Me too, Me too. He realized I should
properly start back up my illustration page. Yes, you should
should be somebody else needs me because I could be
(58:43):
blocking a blessing. But you know, here we are. We've
connected and who knew like four years later, five years later,
whatever this is like, that we would still be doing
this starting off from podcast covers like, Yeah, definitely come
a long way, and y'all, Tip is not cheap, so
please make sure y'all preorder these books. Make sure y'all
(59:05):
we got Christmas coming up, because Tip is a nicety there. Okay,
I'm letting y'all know right now, so I need to
pay tip because we got to start on book four.
So please y'all make sure you hit the link in
the show notes below and make sure you buy a
coloring book because I gotta spend a lot of money
before I can break even. Y'all. She laughing, but she
(59:28):
knows the truth. She's actually being serious I am. And also,
the coloring books are not cheap. I love to say
she taxes listen. I like quality shit, so I make
sure I put quality shit out there. And these coloring
books are beautiful. Okay, paper is quality. The thickest paper
you can find. Don't bled through if you use a marker.
So I need y'all to support. Okay, so I can
(59:51):
stop working like a two dollars hold, I want to
upgrade to a ten dollar hole. Okay, going, bro, you
need to be like more than ten dollars. I do,
I do. I do escorts out here. Let them open
the doors for you. Yeah, please, cause I'm tired. I
will say, share your information where people can follow you,
but I don't know if I want to do that,
(01:00:11):
because I don't want you to get too busy, just
saying I already know I have clients who be trying
to hit me up, but I'll be talking them I'm
on deadline because I'm working on your book. And they'd
be like, yeah, you don't have any free time, and
I'm like, no, I'm on deadline. Like I'm on deadline.
Like I'm really trying, like if you're not a paying
client right now, because I do some stuff pro bono,
(01:00:32):
Like there's like there's some things that are priority that
I have to knock out and then I get to
like everybody. But it's like I'm having to divvy up
my daily schedule because I'm like coloring book, all right,
these tasks, coloring book, these tasks. So it's been a time.
I mean, share the information. They can follow me, they
can see they can follow you that tip. I don't
(01:00:53):
like sharing my people, but go ahead, Oh you can
follow me at that. I'm just playing anything if anything, look,
get some good restaurant recommendations for me, you know, share
where they can follow you bacause I was playing No,
you don't even want that to put it in the no,
tell them, tell her I'm gonna stop paying. Go Okay,
(01:01:13):
So y'all can follow me at the Tip Top. It's
the Tip Top t h E t I P t
op easy all right, well, y'all, if you have any questions, comments,
or concerns, please make sure to follow me at Pretty
Private Podcasts. Y'all. It's so I have to get used
to saying, because I'm so used to saying the Professional
Homegirl podcast or the PSHG podcast. But please make sure
(01:01:35):
to follow me. If you have any questions, email me
at hello at the PHG podcast dot com. Which I
still need to change, y'all. And that's another thing. We've
been working so hard on this coloring book that it's
been kind of hard for me to focus on other
things like the website coming up, the update and things
with that nature. So getting there. I'm getting there. I'm
getting there. The new website should be dropping really still, y'all.
So thank y'all so much, Thank you, tip. This was
(01:01:55):
so much fun. Problem thanks for having me, yes, and
