Speaker 2 (00:22):
All right, everybody, welcome back to Quiet Please.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Good morning, Mel. It's been a lovely weekend. Happy Mother's
Day two. You already had your Mother's Day, your British
Mother's Day, but mostly a happy.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Mother's Day to Carly. Yes, and she she had a
good one yesterday. I did all the poopy diapers, all
three of them. Wow, gift, thank you.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Three poops in a day, three poops in a day.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
And you got her some new pajamas and a new
yetti which I wasn't planning on getting. But when we
went to Ace Hardware, which is my favorite place to
take him, obviously he grabbed it and starts.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Sucking on it. So I had to buy it.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Oh yeah, you put your saliva on it, you buy it.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, and for all the British people though. Now, I
bought some Branson pickle. She likes Branson pickle. Do you
know brands pickles like a cheese and pickle sandwich.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Sorry, explain. This sounds like something I would love.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Yeah, I think you would actually, So it's like, oh,
it's really hard to describe it. It's like chunks of
onion in like this brown like tangy sauce and it's
really good.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
And they have this in America, Yeah they haven't been.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Like the English section of Public's over here.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
There is an English section.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Oh yeah, So I get all my stuff from I
get like galaxy and or teasers, and yeah, it's so expensive,
but it's sometimes I've just got to you just got
to give in.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Oh amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Yeah, cool.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
So I got some which Kai opened. I was killing
the kitchen yesterday where Carlie was out just having a
nail to herself, and he was weirdly quiet in his room,
and I thought, and then he ran in and I
could hear his feet like pit pattern and he went, oh, pickle,
And I was like what.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
I didn't even know he had the pickle.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
He must have got it out of Carl's back, like
the gift bag I got her, and he somehow had
opened it. And he's got like a cream rug and
he was all over his cream rug and all over
his cream like rocking horse.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
And I don't know how he'd done it, but he'd
opened this onion threw it away.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah it's gross. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So I had to
deal with that. But other than that, we had a
great Mother's day, very chill, clean the house, watched a
bit golf, Yeah, very chill. Yesterday kind of what we
how we like to do our Sundays is like chill.
You were just traveling, aren't you on your Sunday?
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah, it was a whole twenty
four hours ago.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah yeah, yeah, as you can tell, it's been a time.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
I Yes, I am in Charlotte, North Carolina for the
PGA Championship this week, and we're gonna get into a
bit of preview and predictions for that in a little bit.
But yeah, you know, it's weird you start your day
at eight am in San Francisco and then you don't
get to Charlotte and telling six pm.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
So just swallowed away. But I had a nice weekend.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
We we went to dinner with a couple of friends
that we haven't seen in a while.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Shout out to.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Noah and Harris, and Noah told me that she's been
listening to the podcast and like, like every episode like
knew everything.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
She was like, you know, Cassette just sounds like so amazing.
Car Carly sounds like she's so you guys have to
get Carly on. Blah blah blah.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
She just had so much to add to the conversations
that we've been having, and I just it made me
so happy, Like I can't believe that anybody knows anything
about the podcast and and and she's but like you know,
she's like a busy career woman and she's just spending
an hour with us, which I'm so grateful for.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
So shout out Noah, yeah, we love that.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Oh awesome.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
So okay, you just wanted to be Actually, did I
tell you went to a bit We went to a
second birthday party on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
Uh no, No, I don't know why I would tell
you that.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
But a second birth just like someone's second birthday.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Like a little girl's second second So she's okay, And
good friends of ours, Spencerman's had it was a pet zoo.
We obviously had the invit a couple of months ago,
and obviously one hundred pcent. We're going life, there's a penzy.
We're going anyway. But we're here in the fact that's.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Pencer and there's a donkey ride, okay.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
And she texted me like a week before like heyes,
you know there's a weight limit to the donkey and
I was like, oh, so I did like a crash
die last week to try and get my weight down
right the donkey and I didn't do it.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
What's the week limit?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
It was like, I don't know, like one hundred pounds,
which I don't know why I even tried to.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
I didn't really try and crash die.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
You're tired of me and very strong.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
But I tried to convince the woman that was not
one hundred and like thirty pounds or something. I was like, no,
I'm not, I'm barely one ten. I was like, come on,
it's fine, and she's like I don't think you are.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
She's trying to protect the donkey.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Okay, yeah, no, I know.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
We really went on pouring animal.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Yeah, Kai went on it.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
It was also there was little pigs, goats, rabbits, just
completely outrageous. So, yeah, the bar has been set. Ki
will not be getting any of that for his second birthday.
He will be getting a public's cake in a balloon.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
So does Spencer. Like our podcast is that where you're
going with us?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Oh yeah, no, I just wanted to talk donkey because
it was my obits of the weekend.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Okay, So the golf over the weekend, we had a winner.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
At Mizuho do know, Titygun and we had a winner
at the Truest Championship Septstraca. You know you said you
mentioned you watched a little bit of the golf for
What did you think?
Speaker 2 (05:20):
What did you see?
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (05:21):
So I loved the Cricket Club in Philadelphia because I
fit I'm not really an architect nerd when it comes
to things like this, but I feel like golf courses
now are just about the length, whereas this was not.
I feel like the design of it was really cool.
And I loved the feather like twenty four and didn't win.
You know, it was like it was obviously a pretty
challenging golf course.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
I just like the old school nurs.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Yeah, like they can do it, they can have it.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah, you can have a regular path three and it'd
be like semi difficult. Yes, Like you don't have to
have like have you seen the length of the PGA
this week?
Speaker 4 (05:53):
The path three's for.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
The guys something outrageous. I don't remember it off the top.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Of my head. It one's like two eighty nine yards
or something.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Yeah, that's like a part four for me.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Well it's a part four for most people. I mean
it's just that's stupid. I don't know. But yeah, so
I love that Steps track.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Obviously being from Austria, it was a bit of a
European to win.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
I was pulling for I was pulling for Shane. I
love Shane. Yeah, but he was gutted, Yeah he was,
wasn't he.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah, But good on him for he came over to
Step after and congratulating him. And you know that's what
you want on a Sunday.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
You want people to to win, yes, but then you
also want people when they lose, to care and to
show and then to show that it matters.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, that's the point undred percent. So yeah, I love
the golf course. I wish that the tour play more
golf courses like that. I think it's really fun as
a spectator to watch. And I just love the Philly crowd. Man,
like they're just there. I don't think they're quite like
it's going to be well, I don't think that's they're
quite like a New York crowd like someone like a
bird page, which is where they're going the end of
the year.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
But that's interesting.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
They're still pretty being an Eagles fan like I don't know,
I just believe.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
I love all the Eagles. Chances, as they're walking the
eighteen fair way, one person yells out, the entire place erupts.
And they're consistent. I will give them that. They are
so consistent. There's lots of Philly cheesteak content.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
From the week.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
You know what, we gotta we gotta make Philly a
regular stop content.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
They love people there, love their golf, they love their sports.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
It's just it's great.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Food's good. Yeah, I agree. So yeah, that's what I
thought about the PJA Tour event.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
Loved it. I thought it was cool golf.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Course okay, and then Mizuho are our besy as you
would call her. Michelle Wee West was the tournament host.
Was it? It was a really cool week. Obviously livery national.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Nelly had had a nice week, kind of fell a
little bit down the stretch and uh Gino, who's an
absolute yeah stud is the great way to describe her.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Monster out there walks away with the wind, should beat
the Selin Buttier who Carlotta Carlotta, Yeah you're you're bezy.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yeah she was up there.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah listen, I think Michelle does a play in that
tournament two or three years. Like, I think that that
it's one of them tournaments that players look forward to. Obviously,
the venue is sick, but I think the fact that
Michelle hosts it, she just gets it from a player's
perspective that's very over everybody dining. Yeah, yeah, like she
just does it right. It's just such a fun little
(08:23):
golf course as well. My kind of coach is their
whole paperado and so yeah, yeah, he's oh he's he's like.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
A peacock all week that week. He literally he's.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Yeah I've been once and he like drove us around
everywhere and it's.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Like oh yeah, yeah, yeah it's his territory and he
makes sure that everyone knows it's his territory. But yeah,
I mean he's just proud of it, and it's just
he absolutely should be. And it's just yeah, they just
look after us really well.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
So really good. Gino's great.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
She's another reason why I quit because she's amazing and
I'm never gonna be that good and she's literally a
joke good, and I thought, well, maybe it's my time
to hang up my boots. She's like twenty two as well,
and she's so good.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Is she really?
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Yeah, she's twenty two. I'm like one hundred years older
than her, and you are as well.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah, I shut up. We don't need to bring me
into this. What did I do to deserve a drive by?
Let's see.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
So she won the Mizuho, she was tied for twenty
fourth at Chevron, top ten, at the JM Eagle LA,
top five at T Mobile match Play, top four, the
FOD Championstership, had twelve tied second and then solo third.
Her worst finish this season is tied for twenty fourth at.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
The chev Run exactly, and that was like my best
finish last year.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yeah, it's not looking good.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
No, it's nothing good for me. So I did it
at the right time. No, she's she's like on the
lowest stroke coverage the last couple of years. I think
she's just very good, Like she doesn't miss greens. Like
we asked her have to see me last year, what.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Are you gonna work on?
Speaker 3 (09:51):
And she basically said, I don't know, Like maybe my
short game, like, well, you don't actually miss green.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
It's like, well, I'm perfect.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
She's like, I'm so good. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Yeah, it's one of those things where you just have
to not mess anything up, which is hard.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yeah, you just got to make your strength stronger and
that's it. Yeah, and you'll be just fine. And she's
just all around us, a good human, Like she just
gets it. I feel like I feel like the younger
generation at times don't understand like the people before her have.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
Done to create the opportunities that they have, and she
kind of does get it. Like she's very lady.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Co's her idol and kind of been her mentor, and
she just understands what that she should in the position
that she is in the platform she has that you know,
she gives back, you know, and I think that that's
important and I think that the younger players probably don't
think that way as much anymore.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
So it's nice that she does.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
So if you're looking for somebody to be a fan
of on the LPGA tour, Gino Titycoon player from Thailand,
great person for you to follow and to root for them.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
Yep, she's cool.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Okay, So this week, as you mentioned that I'm in Charlotte,
North Carolina. You will be down here very soon. Yeah,
you're gonna be traveling as well. You're gonna be working
the world feed. I'm gonna be working for Golf Channel Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
and then I'm gonna switch over to Sky Sports Thursday
through Sunday for your people, my people, so that I
can be with the people of Europe over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
It'll be a fun championship, second major of the year
with at Quail Hollow. What are your thoughts so far.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
It's well, it's the first PJ Tour event I'm going
to be working at, so I'm excited for that.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
I'm excited. It's only a five hour drive, so I
can just drive up. That's making forard to it.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
I think it's interesting because Rory, he's obviously just won
the Grand Slam. He's feel like he's playing extremely free,
and that dude loves Quail Hollow.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah, he's mister. He's won here four times, I think
when it's now the truest championship and it was thee
else Fargo before. He is he loves this golf course.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
He really does. So I'm excited for that. I'm excited
just to If I'm honest, I've never I don't think
apart from the Masters, I've oh no, I've been to
the Open, But apart from that, I've never been to
like a major over here for the guys, and I'm
kind of excited to just feel the energy of it.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
That's basically all I'm going to do on Wednesday is
to sit on the range and watch.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Oh maybe I'll come find you, Yes, please do. So
you're going to be in the booth with Shane.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Yeah, doing wild feed this so I'm not on camera
or anything. I'm just doing.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Okay, so you're not walking no, no, no.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
No, unfortunately not but yeah, no, I'm excited. I'm doing
it with Shane Bacon, so that'd be good, good experience.
But yeah, I'm excited for it. Are you doing walking
talks or are you doing analys?
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Is what you're doing.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
I'm doing my usual Golf Channel reporting job Monday Tuesday
Wednesday for live from and then Thursday through Sunday I'll
be the cart you know sky Sports is the cart thing.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Oh yeah, I love that stuff. Yeah yeah, interactive stuff.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Yeah, yeah exactly. So we'll just be doing reports and
interviews there. It's so funny.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
When I first started working with Sky, they just have
a completely different as you know, British people have different culture,
so I just it took me a little bit to
even the way that.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
They you know, the language that they use around broadcast terminology.
So if I were to do a live end up
or a hit in front of the camera, like somebody
tosses to you from the studio and with more on
Bory Mackleworth's and a ton of curri K Dickson, and
then I would say I would do my live hit.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
They call it a link. And there was this whole
long thing with the producer. They were like, okay, and
then you'll do the link. And I was like, what's
a link? You know the link? And then care we'll
do the link. They keep going on it. So I
had to pull somebody aside and say, I'm so sorry,
what's the link? And the guy was like, oh no, no, no,
I'm like this is when you stand on camera. And
(13:30):
I was like, oh, okay, so like a live hit
and he goes, yeah, link.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
That's funny. See, I wouldn't even know what that is.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Well, I mean you would if you were a reporter,
right person.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
But okay, anyway, I'm gonna be doing that. I'm gonna
be doing interviews. It'll be really fun. So let's go through.
We have a few the you know, some of the
bigger storylines, and maybe we can make some predictions to
what we think is going to happen. So we mentioned
Rory Xander is the defending champion.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
He is coming off of that rib injury still that
he had in the beginning of the year, and he's
kind of he's been doing much better.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
I think that he had a great finish at the
Master's Tournament, but he will have an opportunity to defend
this week.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
I don't think he's there yet. I feel bad saying
that bad. No, I actually don't know. It's I don't
think he's there yet. I think that other players is
playing too well. So I don't think Xander's gonna I
don't think he's gonna win.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
I hope probably have a solid week.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Yeah, top twenty, I think top twenty would be a good week.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Okay, Bryson lost to Xander last year by one, didn't
have a great Sunday at the Master's Tournament this year,
after everybody thinking that he was going to be this
big battle royal between and him and Rory, but he
did just win the live event in South Korea.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Again, I think he's got potential to win for sure.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
I feel like Major's even when they live happened, Everyone's
still scared of Brooks, as they should be.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
I mean they still.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Should be, but I feel like Bryson's now took that over.
Like I feel like he's the sharpest guy, one of
the sharpest guys on live.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
I didn't put Brooks on my so.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
They have a couple of seasons where they're not in
the mix, aren't No, and Brooks is mister PGA. I
think he's Yeah, he's one of the best Major golfers
of all time.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
I really do. Like he's just I just think he's
so good.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
I'm disrespecting Brooks.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Sorry Brooks, Sorry, Hopefully I stick up for him, but no,
I think Bryson's the one to watch. Like everyone talks
about Jacki Neman, but I think Bryson's the one to watch.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Okay, So Scottie one year on from the big Valhalla
Louisville arrest.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Saga, Oh fun, I forgot that.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
So that's interesting as a that's an interesting wrinkle. And
then he just won the Byron Nelson, his first win
in the twenty twenty five season.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
But you know, if we get through this week with
no arrests, I think that's a win.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
A bit gutted though now I'm here, I kin'd of want.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
To be no belt, I was there, and it was
not fun Kira on In hindsight, it's funny to laugh.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
You gotta embrace this stuff like jail time and stuff.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Oh no, I mean I did, but it was just
so stressful because I was trying to figure out what
to say to the people of Europe people.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Quickness.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Yeah, but it would have been step to have reported
on it, because I'm sure you could mess up quite
easily and get someone in trouble. But no, I thought
it was great for TV. I thought it was great
for Scotty because Scotty.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
Was like a bit of a goodie too.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Still every week I see I see people in the
free Scotty T shirt.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Yeah, I think he gained a lot of fans. I
thought he handled it great. And also Scotty's like one
of them guys. It's like a little bit like goody too,
shoesy and so to have a little bit of that rebellions,
it's very good. Yeah, even though he didn't do anything wrong.
He literally did nothing wrong. But I still love the
fair that he's got arrested before me, which I never
thought of.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
I literally told this someone yesterday. I only memorized Carl's number,
not for normal things. It's in case I'm ever at
and I need to call him, like, hey, babe, come
down and get me favor.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
It's in case I get arrested.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah, oh man. But but he did just win the
Byron Nelson. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
I mean, listen, I think again, somebody like you can't
rule him out.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Can't rule him out, No, not at all. Anybody else
she got for me.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yes, I have four more people, so strap In, Colin
Morikawa new caddy on the bag. Joe Griner, who was
caddying for Maxhoma, then filled in for Justin Thomas at
the RBC Heritage, which they won. Colin was the fifty
four hole leader at the PGA Championship last year. Didn't
really have the Master's tournament that we thought he would.
(17:27):
He like really looked good.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
On the grounds, everybody was saying, oh, it's gonna be Colin,
it's gonna be calling. I don't really know what the
situation is for him just yet exactly. I'm going to
get out there as soon as we're done recording and
I'll find out. But certainly someone you can't count out either.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Yeah, No, I agree. I feel like I don't know, Actually, what.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Do you think about the new Caddy situation for him?
And that whole Joe Griner thing just wild?
Speaker 4 (17:51):
I don't know. I feel like I feel like Colin
is a nice guy.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Like he's obviously a nice guy, but I feel like
he's I think that in a business he's pretty savvy, Yeah,
which I don't disagree with. I always believe that if
you are looking for a new Caddy, then then the
relationships already kind of broken in a lot of ways
and you just need something fresh. And I think that
him having Joe on the bag is going to be
good for him, just the way people do things differently,
(18:14):
don't they like, I don't know, I think it's I
think it'll be good for him.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
I don't know if he's gonna win though. I mean,
he's playing good.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
He's always playing great, like he's always his iron play
is always really good.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
This is putter that sometimes that lets him down. But
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Again though, I don't think and I don't think this
is his Yeah, I just I don't know.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Okay, Okay, wild card Coluin worcar Justin Thomas just won
the RBC, as we mentioned. But the interesting thing about
j T is that he won the twenty seventeen PGA Championship,
his first major championship, at Quail Hollow, which was the
last time the PGA was at Quail.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
So clearly he likes this place. There will be some
nostalgia there and he seems to be rounding into form.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Yeah, I think he's definitely want to watch as well.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
I said this to Carli the other day about Justin Thomas,
and I was like, I feel like Justin Thomas was
literally born to be a golfer. Like the way he
like handles himself, he could not be more golfery.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Like what does that mean?
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Like he's just meant to wear like foot joy and
play titlist.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
Do you know what I'm saying? Like he's just one
of them golfers that he just looks like a golfer.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Yeah, he fits them all.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
I have this recollection of Justin Thomas from an event
that I did at a pro am on the corn
Ferry Tour, like way way way back in the day
when I first started. This is when he was still
playing a corn Fairy Tour event, so like a long
long time ago, and it was like a kid's clinic
and this kid was on the range trying to impress JT.
And he comes over to him and Justin started giving
(19:42):
him a hard time because the grooves in his irons
were dirty, and he was like, you got to keep
your clubs clean, man. If you're not doing that, then
you might as well not even show up out here.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
And it's just such a golfer, do you know what
I mean?
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Though, he is, Like Carli was like, why doesn't he
wear like athletic brands like Hike and I.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Because he wars Grayson.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Yeah, I said, Grayson is literally so perfect for him,
like because She's just like I feel like Grayson is
very classic and slim fitting.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
Yeah, I love the fit of it.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
I think Grayson's unreal clothing brand and it just suits him.
Like he's just that kind of golfer. I don't know,
do you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Like, Yeah, he is the perfect person.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
He's just a foot joint, titlest guy, like you know,
just one of them, like we love titlists. I know,
I love it all. I'm just saying that he's just
he's built to be a golfer. So yeah, I think
he's playing great. I think that he loves being in contention.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
So because he's going to be wearing Grayson, he could
win the PGA Championship.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
Yes, basically.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Come to us for expert analysis because yeah, exactly the
way he dresses.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
I'll let you know on Sunday if he's in contention, if.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
He comes out of it exactly all right.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Jordan's speed playing well coming back from the wrist injury.
He is in his now ninth attempt to complete the
career Grand Slam.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
How many kids does he have?
Speaker 2 (21:03):
His wife is pregnant with their third kid. Wow, And
I'm pretty sure. I don't know that this is still happening.
I have to confirm, but I'm pretty sure that they
just travel everywhere in a giant RV.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
Oh but doesn't Jason Day do that as well? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah, he's got like a thousand kids.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Yeah, he's got a thousand.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Yeah, so it's definitely possible with lots of kids. Yeah,
have a driver that just like takes them all over
the world.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
Nice America, I don't think America. That was a very
American thing for you to say.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
The center of the universe, the world.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
I don't think he's quite there yet. I'm honest. I
didn't like the way he didn't play that great last week.
I don't know. I just don't think he's quite there.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
Yet or if he ever will be quite there yet.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Again, like when he was just killing it his erratic days,
like he was making like pars out of them, whereas
now I feel like he's making bogies and I think
that's the only like he's always going to be that
player that has eight bogies and nine birdies, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Yeah, yeah, so yeah, I just don't know. I just
don't think he's quite there.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
He's not managing the mistakes.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
We forget that he could win a Grand Slam as well,
don't we.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Yeah, that's why I said it is ninth and timeh
of the Grand Slam.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
When so I mentioned that when Rory did it, I
just didn't even think.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Well, that was the whole thing with Rory's like, why
are you going to complete the Career Grand Slam. When
you can complete the Career Grand Lab. For some reason,
I feel like it's not as big of a deal
around Jordan.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
That's what I'm saying. I knew it about Rory, I
didn't know about it.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
People aren't as like obsessed with it, whereas people were
obsessed with it with Rory.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Yeah. Maybe because it was the Masters.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
I don't know, Yeah, probably, yeah, No, I don't think
he's quite there yet.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
So okay.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
And then the last person that I have, and this
is just a completely random list that I made based
on just too I thought what was interesting to talk about.
So we're probably missing so many people that could potentially win.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
The PGA Championship. But this is just some thought starters
for you for the week as you're watching. Last person
I had as Shane Lowry, who we mentioned.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
Yeah, I think he's got great a great show, great show,
and like I feel Quail Hollow, you have to be
a bit of a shopmaker, and he is.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
The weather's supposed to be shit this week as well,
isn't it.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
You're telling me. I'm looking out the window and it's disgusting.
I'm run some cute outfits that are never going to
see the light of day. And you know how that
pisses me off?
Speaker 4 (23:06):
That does piss you off?
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Okay, who's your who's your pick?
Speaker 4 (23:11):
I really want to say Shane Lurray.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Oh I like that.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Okay, I'm also gonna put Tommy up there as well.
You missed Tommy.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Tom did I do it right? This time?
Speaker 4 (23:23):
You do it exactly like Carli does it?
Speaker 2 (23:25):
You guys, it was Fleetwood? Okay whatever Tommy Fleetwood.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Told me right to this. Can you please tell me
that Ki is not? Am I hearing it wrong anyway?
Speaker 4 (23:39):
Because you are?
Speaker 3 (23:44):
I got something for you, Okay, go ahead. I've got
a new show for you that my friend recommend. I
completely forgot about it.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
In the UK. It's called Naked Attraction.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Is it like Naked and Afraid?
Speaker 4 (23:54):
But UK version.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
I'm just going to do the premise of the show
and it's amazing. So someone walks in completely fully closed.
So I'm the one that has to pick someone, right,
So I walk in and I go, hey, looking for
these kind of people? And okay, there's like five cylinders okay,
and then they go okay, reveal and the first bit
the cylinder goes up, so like the toddure and stuff
(24:17):
is showing.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
But what the todder and the privates? Toder? A willy?
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Can you spell?
Speaker 4 (24:26):
I don't know what todder?
Speaker 2 (24:29):
I've never heard that.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
You never heard of a todja No, it's a willy
you heard willy? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Loads of willies?
Speaker 4 (24:36):
Okay, right Willi's okay, just a tod How do you
spell that? I don't know? Toder toder?
Speaker 2 (24:45):
Okay, okay, it's British thing you learn on quiet please.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Yeah. Yeah, so that's the first bit that you notice.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
And so after that first show you yeah, yeah, yeah,
you see the privates and then they have to go, oh,
I don't like that one.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Oh I'm going to I'm going to say that one's
a no, which is just terrific.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Right, So then they walk out they get it and
they're like, oh no, you're really good, lucky you just
had a small todder. So yeah, so they walk out,
so they're to now you're down to four, and then
it's like the belly and then she picks and you
pick another one that you don't like. So they walk
out and go oh oh, and then it's like the
boob area and finally it's all of them and they
can talk.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Then I go off and I get.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Naked, and then you just like naked naked and then
you go on a date funny cloak.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
You have to watch it.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
I don't know, mel, I could be looking at random
to never happened in America.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Of course not of course not no, but you have
to watch it. It's so good. Just watch one episode.
That's my assignment this week. Just one episode this week
of Naked Attraction. Okay, okay, I'll send you one.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Thank you, please do.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Yes, that's another show for you to watch. It's so good.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
You gave your prediction. I didn't give mine.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
I'm sorry, so.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
I'm gonna say as well.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
Just I just before I forgot, I wanted to talk
about the No, no, no, I'm so glad he said that.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
Okay, now, whish who do you think is gonna win?
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Let's talk about we're a serious golf show. Yes, I'm
gonna go Bryson ooh, Kiara, I know, I know.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Interesting.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
I'm gonna say Bryson because I feel like he's just
got that chip on his shoulder, just constantly feels like
he's got something to prove to the world, even though
he like he won the US open lash.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
He's got nothing left to prove, but he just seems
like he needs that validation.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
From the wind and he's going to do anything in
his power to make it happen. So's if it comes
down to a who wants it more?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
I think it's pricing.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Ooh, okay, all right, are we going to get dinner
this week? Were you too busy? I feel like you're
busy this week.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I'm probably too busy for you this week, unfortunately, dick.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Okay, So one last thing before we go and I
have to go run and get in this car.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Is a shush of the week.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Yeah, fucking donkey rides should have blow adults.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
That's your shush.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah, I feel like you should be able to ride
a donkey.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
The shush is animal cruelty.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
Fucking hell No, I'm gonna think I did have a
shush of the week and I can't remember it.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Now you go first, Okay.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
My shush of the week is based on a workout
class that I took last week. I consider myself to
generally be a pretty friendly person, but you are.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Oh, thank you.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
But there's something about in a workout class where like
I just don't want to I'm not there to make friends,
like I'm not trying to talk to you.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
Yeah, that's fair enough.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
I don't want. I just am trying to I'm barely
surviving as it is.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
So I hate when the instructor goes, okay, now look
to your left and you're right and high five your neighbor,
or they want to have high fives down the way
into the studio, Like, first of all, I don't want
to touch you your sweaty and Chris and I don't
know where your hands have been, I don't know. You're
not my friend. I don't want to be your friend.
And second of all, can we just get to it.
Let's just get through this so that I can get
(28:01):
in and get out.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
I'm with you there. I don't want to make friends either.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I don't want to I five you. I just don't.
I don't want this fake nicety, this I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Other people are probably like you know, we're trying to
build community, and.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
It's not I'm not going there for community.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
I'm going there to try and make me feel marginally
better about myself.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
Well said Kira.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
So basically, if anyone's in a class with you or
in the hotel gym, do not.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Fucking speak fuck with Kira. Don't look at me.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
She will hit you with her ankle weights. If you
go anywhere near her, she will kick you.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Donkey Kicks speaking of Donky.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Lego, Donkey Kicks. Who talks Donkey Dicks talk Donkey kicks,
lots of donkey talk today Donkey rides.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
Okay, I've got one.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Now. I'm like new into yoga, so I'm like kind
of into it the minute and like thanks, um. The
weird breathing in yoga really puts me off. Yeah, and
there's a guy that's in my class and he really
does it a lot, and I'm like, bruh. And it's
a six am class, so I'm like.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
You, I don't know of oxygen early in the morning.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
Yeah, And it's just a bit gross. So please, if
you're in a yoga class of me, don't do weird breathing.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Don't breathe closely to mouth, don't.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
I just don't, like, yeah, weird breath.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
That reminds me of before my wedding back in twenty nineteen,
I just I don't know what be got in my bonnet,
but I decided that I was going to go out
on a solo yoga retreat as if I needed to
like meditate before marrying it.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
True, you just eased to clean mine, make sure it's
the right pool.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
So there's this place in Big Sir called Esslin, which
if you don't know what it is, you should look
it up because it is iconic.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
It's like the birthplace of.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
The crazy sixties hippie movement that ended up living in
San Francisco, and it's a fascinating place.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
They have natural hot springs, it's very woo woo, and
they bring.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
In these yoga instructors that are world renowned, really a
big deal. And one my friends had signed up for
a yoga retreat at Esslin, which is right on the
water in Big Stir, and it was just like a
normal vinyasa, very great for an intro, and I was like,
that sounds great, and you know, not just you know,
for the pre zen for the wedding, but also because
(30:15):
I travel so much, it'd be great for me to
have that skin. So I sign up for the yoga
retreat that's the week before my wedding. Turns out they're
not all the vinyasa lady. This style of yoga was
taught by a teacher named Kia Miller, who apparently is
like an icon in Kundalini yoga, which is playfully referred
(30:37):
to as Kundaaluni yoga.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
Why is that sucks?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
No? Oh my god? Sorry not everything is about tajismouth.
Look at me? Well done, new word and I used
her an as sentence.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
Sorry. I thought there was that weird book that shows
you like that.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
No, that's that's Kama Sutra.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
Oh sorry, fucking oh. You're saying a lot of weird words.
Well you're saying all the morning. Well I said one
weird word.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Whatever the point was is this yoga is all about
weird breathing.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
Okay, so so you literally sit.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
There for two hours, mel Can you imagine me by
myself with my thoughts for two hours breathing?
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Actually no, actually no, I cannot.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
You've seen my Google docs. It's psycho. So we it
didn't go well.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
I ended up in the hot spring by myself during
some of the sessions instead of actually showing up because
I just I just couldn't do it. But in general,
it was lovely and I would recommend Esslin, but maybe
not the Kundalini if that's not something that you're interested in.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
Okay, I just quick before we go, I have one
question for you. Then, do you when you meditate? Is
it like not good for you?
Speaker 2 (31:44):
It's pretty scary.
Speaker 4 (31:46):
Yeah, you see, I don't like meditation at all. I
don't like it at all. I hope it's a great week.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
And hope we really we hope we encourage you all
to do yoga meditations.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
It's very good for you.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Yes, yes, okay.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
