Speaker 1 (00:08):
Hello, Hello, Welcome to Rappaport's Reality.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I'm Rapoport.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
My name is Michael Rappaport.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
This is Rapaport's Reality, the podcast where me and my
wife Keevy Rappaport talk about all things reality TV, all
things popular culture, and some things about our relationship.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I hope everybody is feeling fantastic. We are heading into
thanks Giving.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Oh yes, that is crazy. That's what I mean. Yes,
that part is crazy. But you looked at me, you
gave me this look like and what are you going
to do about the stuffing? Because we haven't.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Had discussed it this morning? I mentioned because I don't.
We haven't even mentioned. I know you've been Thanksgiving yea,
and kibi is a. I wouldn't say no, I'm not.
I could get down.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
As far as a home cookery. You never like.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Studied and it was like, you're not like one of
these people takes cooking classes.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Now you're very very good cooker.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah you know what I am. I will toot my
own horn and say that I'm very creative, I'm not
afraid in the kitchen, and that I will open the
refrigerator and I will see what we have and most people. Yes,
most people will go you don't have any like, what
are you going to do? And I can do that.
I can make like last night I made something really

(01:30):
I think it was great. Right, we're in the apartment
and there's what there is? What there is? We had
a little anyway, so.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Calling me, I don't know if we discussed it. Do
we discuss the only I think give me two bad meals.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yes, we've discussed. But you gave me this look about
and as far as Thanksgivings concerned, you gave me this
look like you are. You want something certain, And last
time I made it for you. I tried to make
it like vegan gluten free stuffing and it was.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Terrible and I talked about it on stage and I
and I will say this, babe, Yeah it's gonna be
We don't know exactly how many people are coming to
our Thanksgiving, but if there are guests, it's going to
be small. I don't want a lot. I don't expect
a lot. I don't expect anything. But I am going

(02:16):
to say this right now. If you're gonna make the stuffing,
make the stuffing. If you're gonna make the turkey, make
the turkey.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Don't you don't want vegan vegan free Thanksgiving?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
You know, money trying to have faky baky and what.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Turkey to turkey?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Turkey of that, babe? So let's discuss.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Now, what do you think would be doable and simple
as far as like a Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I'm gonna throw that at you right now. A turkey turkey.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
I was thinking maybe like green beans, cranberry, cranberry, sauce, sauce, cram, sauce,
and stuffing would probably that's enough.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Say that again.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
So it's the turkey turkey like green beans, turkey, green beans, stuffing, Yeah,
and gravy. I guess I would make gravy.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
That's it. Yeah, that's fine for me.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
That's enough. Usually you like macaroni cheese and.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
That kind of skip it. Let's skip it because I just.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Got my Jessica Seinfeld's a Not Too Sweet the cookbook,
so I plan on already. I saw nice apple turnovers
in there that I want to make, Okay, and this
is what I care about, Let's be honest. I care
about the sweets. I don't care about the food.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Is a turkey like a small turkey, well, by the.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Way, in our oven in Connecticut, I looked at it
to try to measure the inside because the guys I
got a fancy oven and then didn't realize it. When
you open the two sides of the oven, it may
not be going pieces or something. Yeah, so I have
to work that out. But I think that Julie's mom
came over and she said I could probably fit a
twelve pounder in there, which is not that's more than enough.

(03:58):
I just don't. I'm not a fan. I'm not going
to eat any so you know why I never I'm
not a.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Let's say steak.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Let's just have steak turkey, because if you're not eat
a turkey, I don't not.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I'm not a big fan of turkey.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Let's just make some steak. Let's make steak with gravy,
which will.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Take I hate when you say lets, because the thing is,
it's not a lets situation.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Okay, let's eat steak with but I'm something steak with
gravy is good.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I've never had that.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Like steak with gravy like a grave, like a mushroom.
Gravy is good.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Some stuffing.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I'll work it out. Don't worry. You'll be satisfied.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Are you going to make this stuff and some scratch
because I have a problem with stovetop, because no, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Gonna use stove top. No, I just don't use this
corn bread. And I I don't worry about it. It's
gonna be good.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
You're saying, don't worry about it, but I would. I
would guess, and I would.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Assume, how do you like it really like gooey and
stuck together like bready? Or do you like it to
I just don't even know.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
I like stuffing to be stuffing. And I'm just gonna
say this.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
You say, don't worry about it, but I would guess
and assume that everybody listening would be like I'd be
worried about it.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
If I was Michael, you should be worried. You should
be a little worried. But we'll make it.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
We're almost weak, Yeah, I'm I almost.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I'm almost tempted to order food from somewhere.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
You can do whatever you want.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I'm not quite feeling like I.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Don't care how it gets there, who makes it? Well?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
You care about that, I'll figure it out. I don't
know anybody in the city I know where to order it.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
So one thing that I would like is just stuffing.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Okay, I got to work that out. I got that.
I got you do you you look so like suspicious
and doubtful, and that's what's psyching me out, Because you
do it's going to be great. It's been a while
since I've made the normal way. I've tried various you know,
vegan gluten free type of things, gluten free stuff, and
then I because usually and my family put apples in

(05:55):
there and sausage, I think, and it's really really good
that way. But then we'll see, Okay, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I know it's gonna be great whatever it is, whoever
makes it, if you make it, if someone else makes it,
I know it's going to be fantastic. We need to
come to terms with now. I don't want to scare
you or scare anybody. I do not foresee us ever
not watching any one of our staple Bravo shows.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Right however, however, Big However, New York.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, And we're not the only ones that are saying it.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
I know, you know what, babe, It's like we were
reluctant in the very beginning, and you know, and then
I'm loyal. We're loyal to yeses and concerned and then
I met Uba. Remember I had lunch with the Uba.
And then I was less concerned. I was kind of excited.
And then we watched it and I think we said

(06:53):
that we were like, Oh, where's this going? What is this?
And then and then it picked matter and now I
think I'm back to NA.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
The second season of The Real Housewives of New York
has been a ratings disaster.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Oh yes, the ratings are real. They're embarrassing. No one's
watching the show.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
I you know what, I'm trying to figure it out
because honestly, you know, some beautiful women in nice clothes
and the greatest city in the world. What could go wrong? Right?
And so I'm thinking, what really is the problem? And
I think I know what the problem is. I think
these ladies got a show. They're following a legacy group.
They don't want to fail, so they get together and

(07:35):
they talk about each little argument they're having. They're like
break off into groups. And I think that I think
it's that contrived because now when I think back of
like or a couple of them individually have this. But
like you know, Brinn, I think has a motive to
make it interesting. I think maybe she may even be
in marketing herself. I just saw her today. She posted

(07:57):
a video. She had some woman who's a PR expert
in her apartment. I think she thinks she's smart, so
I think she thinks ahead UBA's very smart. I think
she hits a sigh as an influencer. I think they
understand branding, and I think they understand their own personal brands,
and they all have a desire to be successful, which
is causing them not to be so real.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I agree. I agree.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
You know, I would hate to ever think that there's
collusion and commisery.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Oh you have to think that in the show? Are
you kidding me? It's like almost obvious, Like I know
that's why we don't like it, and so.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
And and they're they're like in a boxing term, they're
pulling their punches and they're not letting their hands go.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
So pulling your.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Punches, you're not letting the punches hit, and you're not
letting your hands go because you're not throwing hard punches.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
It's one in the same right. It's nice.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
I know exactly what you're saying. Baby. That's actually a
very interesting analogy because what you're saying is they're setting
the scene up and they're soft launching it because it's
not real. So you can't really flip the table here
because you don't really feel what you're saying. So therefore
they're taking out the reality for us, and we are
not done. We can feel it. It's boring, We're picking

(09:09):
up our phones. The everyone is saying it. And it's
weird because the last time he did watch What Happens Live,
you know, we were asked if we, you know, liked
it backstage by several people and we were like, yes,
it's great, and everybody sort of looked at us like, oh,
interesting that you feel this way. I think it's a
consensus everywhere that something's not happening in the ratings are

(09:31):
saying it.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Well, you know who else is saying it.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
So the Michael Jordan of real life, Yes, she is
has for some reason, she posts things not just about housewives,
but she has a habit because we I follow.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
I don't know if you follow him, babe, because you're
not really on TikTok.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
This guy who is like I don't know if this
guy had a thing with Bethany Franco personally or he
was an assistant.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Does he ever show his face.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
He never shows his face, and his voice is distored
to this guy called celeb fail.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
And the only that's failing is just it's just it's
just her.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
This whole thing is well fucking with Bethany Frankel.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Every post makes he fucks with her, but she.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
And she's babe. Is she taking him down? Because he
that is it?

Speaker 1 (10:36):
I don't think.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
I think it's a rule that you shouldn't take things
down because it messes with your algorithm.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
On TikTok there, but I didn't see the video, but
from celeb Fail he catches he must have sub accounts
and ghost accounts and secret accounts, because I'm sure she's
blocked them and blocked him and blocked him. I think
he's even talked about her, beth Me blocking him. But
he don't miss a beat. You don't miss a beat

(11:04):
of what Bethley Frankel does. And I'm like I said,
I don't know if this guy's a scorned friend or
was an intern or the friend of an intern, or
just the guy that just can't stand her, because so wait,
what did he say? He said and reposted a video
and I think the new York Post or Daily, one
of them a page six fad. The other people caught

(11:24):
it where she said, and I paraphrase, I don't quote,
I paraphrase. She basically said that the ratings are down
for the Real House as a New York reboot. And
she basically said, and I'm paraphrasing, that they need to
bring back the OG's Derinda Luran, Raemonia and the great
Sonya Morgan. And I was bugging because this is.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
A woman.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
That started in an entire lawsuit with the Menendez brothers
attorney attorney, one of the Menenda's brother's attorney, the reality reckoning,
and she was gonna, she was gonna in reality TV.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
She was gonna shake him down and break him down.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
And now she's calling for a reboot of New York.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Wow, Wow, just wow.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
And do you think watches, Yes, she watches.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
All of it because I think she misses being on TV.
That's just real talk.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
You remember Bethany had a fucking talk shows. What that
was ridiculous, But she had a talk show. This is
the woman who's had opportunity after opportunity. She got a
production coming anyway, or she had a production deal whatever.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
But she she I.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Mean, she's just a she just wants to hate. I mean,
this is what it is. She's drinking hater aid, taking
a break, having a little water, and going back to
hater aid. This makes no sense.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
It's crazy to me because she was literally like, yo,
I'm gonna take down. She called it the reality reckoning
the Bethny clause. She said, it's gonna be called.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
The Bethany class.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
She's gonna change the sort.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Of one of the reasons why it got toxic in
the end. Man, Like the last season that she was
on New York, it was really bad. It got started
to get toxic, and she lit the fire and then
she bounced and then it all went to hell.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
It went to hell. It went to hell.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
And Ebony and Liam McSweeney and those two and the
COVID and all these things really did a number on
reality TV, but it has really done a number on
the Real House.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Size said, waited it.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
I mean, we just said that this reboot is not
like to our liking. There may be some manipulation on,
some faking going on with the scenes and all that,
but I feel like, why is she saying that about
these women, like making them lose a job to bring
back other women. By the way, she doesn't even really
get along with There's something about that.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
It's twisted. It's really really twisted.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
And when you watch right now, as of the recording
of this Rapper Ports reality podcast, when you watch the
Orange County Reunion, these women that are fucking real housewives,
Like when you watch Tamer Judge and Shannon Madore go
back and forth. And when you watch what's the one

(14:10):
who's the doctor to doctor their husband's the plastic surgeon. Oh,
Heather b when you watch her, when you watch brow,
these women in Orange County, they're fucking housewives.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah. I mean, you know, Heather sometimes brings some of
that thing that seems very contrived a little bit, but
like I said, she's an actress, so she knows how
to do it correctly.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
She's playing the part.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
But she's playing the part correctly. The thing is with
somebody the ogs of like something like oh c even
bringing in Katie the new Girl and Gina came in rocking.
The thing about them is that we're looking at their
real lives. I was thinking about that when we're watching
the reunion. I was looking at them, going like she's
been through this. She's been through that. She's been through that,
and we're seeing it. Think about like something like New York.

(14:55):
We're not really seeing anybody. It's very manufacturing.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
We're not seeing anything, not seeing anything, seeing a little.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Argument go back and forth. We're seeing Brent in her
kitchen wanting to serve somebody tap water. This is like contrived.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Tamra Judge and Shannon Madore going back and forth.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
My goodness, that's that's like high end stuff. Yeah, they
should be paid very well.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
That's high level, high level dancing with with with the
Reality TV Devil. Like they're out there, they're throwing punches
and they're taking punches.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yes. And by the way, and when Emily goes after Jen,
it's good about like who you're dating, and they fb
like because she's a lawyer, you know, it's real, it's
really real, and it's good.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
And even Heather Debron, who is manufactured, she's still you know,
fucks up and she's still good.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Like she's playing the part.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
I mean, you know, I think she goes out of
her way to be super duper likable, but she's she's
she's invested in at least portraying that she's invested. It's
enough for me where she's a good enough actress, a
little kookie, enough enough, concerned enough with being.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Perfect that it works. I'm just saying the different.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
It's like literally like watching professional basketball and going to
the park and watching like two on two with like
some sixteen year olds that don't even play basketball that
much and don't even love basketball that much.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Wow, and the love is what's really good.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
That's harsh.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
It's like watching like JV high schools.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
I have to agree as much as I hate, because
I want these girls to have You know.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
When, And I will tell you, babe, yeah, you know.
I'm doing shows. By the way, if there are anybody
in Boston, I'll be in Boston performing at the Wilbur.
At the Wilbur and I believe there are tickets available
for that Friday, the twenty second, I'll be in Ridgefield.
I think that sold out. Toronto the twenty third, I

(16:46):
believe that sold out. But Boston, if you're listening, there
are some tickets available. I will tell you though, Babe,
I was in Dallas. I did a show in Dallas.
I was in other places. I can't remember.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
At this point, you've been everywhere.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
But a lot of times, I Uh, when I'm performing comedy,
I will talk about the real houses, and I'll even
ask questions. I'll even have the audience ask me questions.
And we're not the only ones who are not happy.
Along with the celeb fail account on TikTok or kind
of been.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Likeugh, what they say about you?

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Oh really?

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Yes, because when I bring her name up, people like
his And no, really, because I say I did call
the you can't take away that she's the Michael Jordan
of Housewise, but she calls her that Still, I gave
her that name.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
She doesn't say Michael, but she says she is the
best Housewives.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
She earned it. She fucking earned it.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Listen, I'm not taking it away from her. I just
said the fall from Grace for me personally is devastating
because I used to love this woman.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
I just don't need to say like her social media
program is.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
I think that messed it up. I think it messed
it up for her, like and the reality reckon, Yeah,
trying to take down Bravo and the hand that fed you,
it's some ridiculous. Yeah, it shows how trouble you are. Yeah,
I just I think she should back up with all
her money and take a break for a second. It's
a big mistake a lot of people make with the
big mouth.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yes, you know, you.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Were good on reality TV with that mouth, but on
TikTok or whatever she's doing, it's just not that interesting.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
I agree, And it's mean.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
And sometimes it's mean. It's like you're over there, sitting
over there. These women have a job and you that's
what they were following in your footsteps. You sort of
paved the way for this medium and now like grease, Yeah,
exactly is what I'm trying to say, Grace.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
It's it's not keep them Durnya Sonya and remotere singers
name out your mouth.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Yeah, I would. They probably want you to too.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
You talk so poorly about them for so long. Yeah,
Like she's acting like, oh, well, you know, hook them
back up.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
They need a job. It's like, no, like you.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
That is to me so bizarre and twisted. It's it's
a little mommy dearest, Like here, mommy dear's about your
beautiful dress. Now you know, no more wire hangers slap
you in the face. Like it's it's like it's not stable.
It's really not stable, babe.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
We were not together for the Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight,
which you I never really didn't watch, right.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Well, no, I didn't actually stay up. I mean I
really tried. I watched Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Yeah, and you watched that whole fight.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I watched the whole fight. And you know, I'm really against.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Talking about Real Housewives. They threw down.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
You know, watching women fight is not my favorite thing.
But listen, let me say something. I love athleticism so
and I love you know, athletes in general, and this sport.
I don't quite understand why you want to get the
ship beat out of you and be bloody and broken
nose and all. But I think that was fixed. I
don't know much about it.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
You mean the decision.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, there's called wait is it called the decision?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
The decision was.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
People were arguing the decision, so you could say, yes,
it was fixed, or the judges sided with that.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Yes, you could say.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Was Amanda should have won not the Irish.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
That's been the consensus across the world.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
I mean, I'm a I'm a lay person, I'm a
civilian in this area, and I watched and I was mortified.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
I thought that she won.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Oh absolutely, yeah, everybody. I mean it was one and
that made me why would anybody watch this? It's so fixed.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
Boxing is so corrupt and so historically poorly judged, and
there's no union and there's no commission.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
And this is the steroids. Babe.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
I don't know if they well know these fights were
these fights were sationed.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
They get tested.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
So they got tested. Yeah they apparently.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Really so Jake Paul got tested.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
That's what they're saying.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
How is that? I mean, really, we watched the documentary the.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
What did you think about it?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Well, he has the acne from steroids in his back
is all broken out back for sure.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
The guys for somebody who's so vain.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, I don't think he would. He'd have somebody after
working out coming giving him back. Fake. So, I mean,
he's grubbing. He has the money and the vanity, and
he's on YouTube since he was a kid. He has
the acne and all that stuff that is that is
steroid uce potentially allegedly looks like it. It looks very
much like that.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
You've read articles and allegedly it could possibly be.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
I mean, I know when I've taken my palace for
my HRT hormone replacement therapy, and I take too much testosterone,
I get acne and allegedly.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Potentially that it could possibly be.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
That's right, allegedly. I don't know, but I said when
we were watching it, why does why allegedly allegedly allegedly.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
And Myles Jordan, you could throw in allegedly impossibly in the.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
B B B B B B because because we ain't
getting sued, No, not by him, but listen, I'm a
fan of him, and I said that he was going
to win.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Win Schmid.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
I know I didn't watch it, so I don't know.
I asked you a question, do you because I know
you thought about going, are you glad that you did
not go? Or you wish do you wish you would
have been there?

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Not?

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Only am I glad I didn't go to that fight.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
I ran into these three women in Dallas because I
went to Dallas to do an event and one of them, no,
all three of them had went and they were pissed
with these black chicks. They were like probably like later twenties.
They were fucking really pissed.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
And then the one.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Girls like, you know, it wasn't that bad because I
didn't pay. I was like, go ahead, go fucking head
like somebody must have took it.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
But for the event, they were just like they were pissed.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
At some time.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
I said, what was the vibe? They go, everybody was pissed. Wow.
They said the whole place was pissed. Wow, like everybody
was pissed.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
I wonder why they were pissed because it's so obvious.
The man is fifty eight years old Tyson and this
kid is what twenty seven, you know, you know what
allegedly on steroids, allegedly could possibly be. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
I'm joking.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Bebebep, I'm joking.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
They were pissed because the build up and the excitement.
They were pissed because, you know, although the preliminaries were good,
that's not what you come to see, you know. You
came to see Mike Tyson at least explode on him.
And I think, based on what I'm hearing and what
I could see, I think that Mike Tyson either had
a tornamentiscus or something worse.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
With his knee. There was clearly something wrong with his knee.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
I also think that the build up, you know, when
you do have to do a week of press and
hobnobbing and talking. It's exhausting if you're twenty seven and
in shape, but when you're fifty eight.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
And you shouldn't when you're fifty eight. I don't care
who you are, you shouldn't be doing it.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
And yeah, I agree.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
And it was the thing that was so frustrating and
that I and that that was the most difficult was
I was watching at my mother's uh place, and Netflix
was having clearly have some sort of technical streaming issue.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Yes, I think everybody complained about it. Somebody I know
posted the next day. I caught one of her stories
and she was so I mean, she had a little
red swirl going on. And by the way, at our house,
we had that too, I told you, because I was
watching and then I said to you, wait what party
you want? And it was delayed because it had stopped
and started. So I think that Netflix hasn't figured out

(24:22):
the live streaming thing.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yet, not at that capacity.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Because remember Love is Blind, they had a big problem
that crashed. It felt like that. Yeah, right, I said
to you, I think they may have problems with this
many people watching. But I want to say to you,
don't you think once they had the press thing that
they do before with the way in, and Jake Paul
accidentally or maybe allegedly, you know, stepped on Mike Tyson's

(24:46):
foot and he slapped him. And Jake Paul said that
didn't hurt.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
That was soft listen, because he didn't slap him hard anyway.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
He slapped him with his hand, He didn't slap him
with his whole He didn't he slap him with his fingers.
Like when you slap somebody in the it really hurts.
You have to have your palm, and he didn't slap
them with his palm. But that's not what it was.
I don't know if they had an agreement. I certainly
know that Mike looked tired that night and his knee
was definitely bad. Jake Paul can do as many hyperbolic

(25:17):
chambers and ice bats and hot bass and saunas and
massage therapy and breathing and yoga and and and all
these things. He's never ever, ever ever gonna be a
fighter that is worth well.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Just so you know what, I just can't stand that
you say that every.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Time baby hasn't gotten better, What do you mean he.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Hasn't gotten better? Have gotten better.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Babe, I'm telling you right now, Like our podcast, I
don't know what episode we're on.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Our podcast, each episode we get better and better. If
I went and.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
When I don't know, fucking I don't know what you know,
Like at a certain point, you're either gonna get better,
you're not like my handwriting never got better.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Well, he's not like that. That's not a thing that
you practice that. This guy works out all the time.
He said on the documentary that beforehand that they did.
He said that recovery is sometimes more important than training.
I want to ask you, since I fell asleep right
when I woke, when I woke up and the screen
said live thing has ended? What about him fighting the
greatest fighter to ever lit one of the greatest, probably eight.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
He's not the greatest fighter.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Hedn't even he couldn't even hit fifty eight year old.
I'm saying, possibly tore meniscus or worse. Really, he didn't
even hit him.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
No, I saw clips.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
That eight like he connected me in a boxing sense,
Like he didn't hurt Mike Tyson.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Okay, he didn't. He didn't.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
Just don't like you today even dominate Mike Tyson at
this age, And there was he missed.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Jake Paul threw.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Okay, so many punches that he missed that if he
was a great fighter, he would have connected. If he
was a top notch twenty seven year old fighter, he
should have knocked Mike Tyson out or really gotten Mike
Tyson in trouble, and he wasn't in trouble.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
I think that we need to give him credit for
what he's created.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
I resent it. I know it's so I resent it
and so do other people because you're a big, big.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Boxing It's like it's it's like if you go to
see Oh, we're gonna go see Shakespeare on Broadway and
it's like these and you're like, this guy sucks.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
What am I doing in here.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
To be or not to be?

Speaker 1 (27:18):
It's you know.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
The thing is is that I think that sometimes.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Treated like it's this high level professional boxing and it's not.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Muhammad Ali is thinking about it right kicking and.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Screaming in his grave.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
The boxers that are live are kicking and screaming on
their Instagram like they're.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Let me I have another question.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
It's not a sport you could cheat and it's a
it's the boxing is It's not basketball.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
It's not hockey. It's not soccer. Boxing. You come from
a certain.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
You have to come up tough, and like I said,
it's not a sanctioned sport. It's not a unionized sport.
You know, whether your boxer from United States or they
got boxes from all over the world.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
These are people that come from the bottom and to
see Jake Paul cheat.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Step actually not get any better, and the entire world
sits there and watches him not even be better than
a fifty eight year old Mike Tyson. And we've had
I don't know how many of these fiascos. It's been
as somebody who loves the sports.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Well, you keep watching, you just keep watching, You keep watching,
you keep watching. That's the thing. You get so impassionate
about that. Okay, don't do it anymore, don't waste the
time or the effort or whatever. But my point is
is that I think if that's the case, you can
let me say something fullish, hold on, hold on, let
me just say something, because you're so like you get
so when somebody he's become great at whatever he's doing,

(28:42):
he's his name is known. Everybody knows who Jake Paul is.
And they they don't like him, they despise him, and
he goes for it anyway, and he's caused lots of
eyes to be watching, so much so that Mike Tyson
said yes to it, okay for twenty mil. That's right,
because it's Jake Paul. My point is, I think it's
a testament to our world nowadays that you can skip

(29:04):
a lot of steps and be great off the craziest things.
I get it.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Yeah, same thing, Jake Paul, the REBOOTERERRONI. We're watching, we
don't like it, we keep watching.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
That's what I'm saying. I kind of think we live
in that world unfortunately, and somebody's got to change it.
Can you imagine date date Brin do something. Maybe he's
a little too young for her, but anyway, Yeah, I
understand what you're saying. I don't know enough about boxing,
but when I think of the clips that you've shown
me in Muhammad Ali, I understand the skill level. To me,

(29:38):
I'm like, it's pretty bold to like put yourself out
there and say the things and talk to talk. He's
created like this persona. This fake thing is fake without
the thing to back it up. But all eyes are
on him. That's all I'm saying that he's like that
the Kardashians of boxing.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Totally. Yeah, there we go, totally.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
So we figured it out. But back to Ronnie, We're
not going to give up. We are going to stick
are we Are we sticky with it? No, we're not sticky.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
No we're not. No, we're not giving off.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
Okay, yeah, because we didn't even watch last night.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
No, we're not giving up. We don't We're not giving up.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
No, I know, I know we quitting you.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
This is like some broke bat mountain. I ain't gonna
quit you or ain't quitting me?

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Or yeah, I don't want to. I mean, I'm kind
of irritated with all of them, and I'll watch, but
I'm not. I don't know how I'm feeling about it.
I'm really into salt Lake.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
I'm really into salt Lake. And there was some great
that Karen Hugerman.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
She's funny.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
She she is funny, really really funny.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
She's funny because she's she's got that old school southern quality,
but she's also not old, so she she mixes like
just who she.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Is and where Surrey County, Surrey.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
County with the modern sh She's funny, she's great, lagrond
You didn't get to meet Lagrondam.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
No, I got to meet lebrond.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
And chill with the like we had like like you know,
like I didn't I didn't have a drink, but I
was like chilling with her for like a little bit.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
She was super chill. La Grondame really, Karen youger, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
I like all the ladies on there. Right now. I
caught it. I told you that I thought it was
interesting that I saw a clip somebody posted online. I
don't know if it was page six where Lagrondame ran
into Nini Leaks, I mean, talking about the two worlds colliding,
and Nini said to kick She said to her, you
need to kick Jizelle's ass, or you need to beat

(31:28):
her up.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
I wonder, she said, I wonder.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
And the Grondam she handled it so gracefully. She like
turned around and she says, oh, no, I like her,
Like she goes, no, we're could I like her? It
was really funny.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
I wonder if Nini Leaks and Giselle cross paths in
real life, because you know, Potomac Atlanta, that's a small world.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Yeah, And I could see they're of the same age.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
I could see them like, oh yeah, I saw that
be worded, you know in yeah ninety seven and she
blah blah blahed me.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
I could see them having cross paths.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
That's funny. I wonder what if Nini and well if
she won't come back to a Bravo show because O
Nini's done too done.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Yeah, she did it to herself, also went crazy.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
I think the fame gets to people. It does, the
fame and the power, and they think they have a
false sense of power.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
Really, you know when you go outside and you get recognized, yeah,
and people tell you how great you are.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Oh, it could fuck your brain.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
No, I well, I know I've seen you with this
situation when we were younger, at twenty one years old,
and I see it now. It never has messed with you.
It's really interesting why.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
I don't know. I'm lucky, you know.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
I showed the picture of you and I at I
think you'd sent it to me the other day being cute,
which was very cute. Yeah, it was a career. I
think it was true romance. And I showed it to
someone I forget who I showed it to, and they said,
I said, this was us being dressed up at a
premiere horrible, like we just never.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Cared horrible.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
And I think the thing about you. You literally had a
new hoodie zip a hoodie on it, and I.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Think that wasn't true romance.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
So it was another premiere, but it's still that we
were dressed like I should haven't even gone to the
gym in what I was.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
Not even the I mean, we look like we're going
to the movies. Maybe I don't like a baby doll
dress or something is sloppy.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
I have a new Nike hoodie on like that.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Was to me, I remember, and a blue T shirt
and jeans, and you were like, I'm dressed up.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
I got, yeah, this is a new Nike hoodie.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Yeah that was that's And I don't think you've ever
changed since then in terms of that. But I do
think sometimes and people coming up to you all the
time saying you're grade, it's like it seems.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
A little your brain.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Yeah, no, I think it's not healthy. It's not.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
It doesn't.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
It's because you think.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
What I think happens is I think people think the
whole world thinks that, and the whole world thinks I'm great.
And I have this many fans, and I have this
many comments, especially now with social media on.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Top of it.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
I can't even imagine that.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
It can mess your brain up.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Yeah, I take it as like, to me, it's just
part of the blessing and the luckiness to be a
success swell actor. I take it as almost like part
of the job, and you need to handle it with
the grace and keep it in the perspective like it's
just part of the job.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
And then you come home and I tell you you
ain't shit.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
And that's that's why this works, and that's why the
rap of Ports reality podcast works, and that's why I
think there's no other, no better way to end this
episode of rap ports Reality. I want to make sure
people truly have a fantastic pre Thanksgiving next week. We
will be back next Thanksgiving, but I want to make

(34:30):
sure you get your menu in order. I want to
make sure you sort out if you're had.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Sure everybody else has that. It's just us. We're late
on it. It's we're gonna figure it out. Don't worry.
I promise you you're gonna have stuffing.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
And Jenna Fucking Lions and the whole cast of real
Houses in New York.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Do not worry.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
We're not gonna quit you now to quote, I don't
know if it was Jake Gillenholl or Heath Ledger from
Broke Back Mountain. We ain't gonna quit you, but we
are done with this episode. Make sure you tell a
friend who tell a friend.
