Speaker 1 (00:02):
Big.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Did you see that there's casting calls for New York
and New Jersey?

Speaker 3 (00:07):
I know, well the New York they did a casting
call and then they put it on pause. They picked
new girls apparently and younger, and they also put their
original cast on pause.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
And I think the producers don't know what they're going to.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Do the lack thing I read, Yeah, that they did cast,
but they don't know how to move forward because, as
we all know, they totally did a reboot on New
York and look how that's working.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Yeah, you can't reboot a reboot.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Yeah, exactly what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Before you get rid of the original that we all
know and love and that we're all very close to,
regardless of how talks that they may be, you know,
getting rid of that for the fan and replacing.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
With all new casts.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Can't do that.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
I don't think you can do that. Hello ready, Yes,
I'm ready? Are you ready?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I'm super duper ready. This iss Reality. Hello.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
I'm Kiev Rappaport.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
My name is Michael Rapaport.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
This is Rapaport's Reality, the podcast where Kiev Rapaport and myself,
Michael Rapaport, discuss break down all things regarding popular culture,
all things regarding reality TV, and some curated gems from
our relationship.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, okay, how's everybody feeling? Great?

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Time in reality TV? Popular culture world?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
It's epic.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
It's a beautiful time. And reality TV we have so
many shows that are ending. We're not really talking about
what's coming. No, but there is something looming. I sent
it to you the other day. The Housewives of Atlanta
trailer is out.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
The Housewives of Atlanta trailer is out. There's a lot of.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
New faces, old faces.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Porsche's back.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I will say right now publicly that we meet in particular,
will not be saying anything about Charles Oakley's wife. Charles
Oakley is an NBA player whose wife or maybe ex
wife or let's just say wife, is on the show.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I know Charles Oakley.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
If you're not familiar with Charles Oakley as an NBA
player or as a person, he is not the guy
you want.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
To piss off.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
No, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
And also I consider him a friend, but he's also
the guy you don't want to piss off.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Well, there was another housewife that you knew, the husband
the football player.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Marcellus Marcellus in Beverly Hills.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Beverly Hills, and we didn't talk well, we didn't talk
badly about her.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
She didn't warrant bad she was cool.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
She was cool.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
But even if Charles Oakley's wife has bad behavior, don't
come to us for criticism.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
No, that's not gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
And I criticize pretty much anybody and everybody in all
walks of life. But Charles Oakley's wife is not somebody.
The point is, you don't want to You don't want
an angry Charles Oakley in front of you ever.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Ever you've defended him the last time he got publicly angry.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Charles oak And also he's my guy.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah, anyway, Yes, the trailer for Atlanta's coming out. As
we discussed, we're very excited about Summerhouse, although very disappointed
that Craig and Page broke up off the show.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
This season's gonna be like doing FBI.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Well, no, babe, after we watched the other day, you
saw they showed the clip for the next episode and
you saw Paige shade him if this isn't the love
that you want, basically, if it's not the kind of
love you need, and then it cut.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
So we're gonna see a little bit.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Of the we're gonna see a little bit, but it's
gonna be the remnants.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
It's gonna be when she's on Watch what Happens Live,
she's talking about on her podcast they just had Austin
and they just had shep on Watch What's Happened. Like
now everybody's like fishing for that. Yeah, and it kind
of sucks that we don't get to see.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
It in real time.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
And now we'll be kind of doing Alfred Hitchcock, you know,
for fornsicks to try to see hear some clues.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
But anyway, we still get to see Craig break up
or have some bromance issues with Austin on the show,
which is really beyond my understanding of how men could
be of this way.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Maybe you have some insight on.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Why, well, I do understand it.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
And as these type of younger guys and these type
of express your feelings guys, and I think the three
of them as sort of dumb quote unquote, I'm doing
air quotes.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
I don't think they're dumb, but it's kind of like,
you know, dunking buddies. Yeah, we're drinking buddies. We're just
you know, dudes.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
They also are very calculated and understand that it does
make for good content during the show. Right, So that
is you could say like, oh, they're just these doof
you guys. They have been doing the show. They are
aware that it is good content and good storyline for
the show. I understand it. I would like in hindsight

(04:56):
as a soon to be fifty. I'm gonna be fifty
five maybe month. I think for the first time this morning,
I was like, oh shit, my birthday is coming up,
and oh shit, I was like, fifty five.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
That number is so fucked up.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
I know I'm there, I'm fifty five before you.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
It's a fucked up.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
I know you'll get you'll you'll ease into it, It'll
be okay. It's everything's still working. You're good, You're good,
you look good.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Fifty five is a ship number. I know.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Well, no, it's a double nickels.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
It's close to sixty.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
You're halfway, you're halfway there.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
And it's speeding up.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I know everything's going fast except for my body, that's
who I know.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Everything's moving fast except for my feet and legs. Yes,
they're not moving.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Did you walk slow on your walk?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
This?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Actually I got it moving. We I did a beautiful walk.
It was nice out in Central Park.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
It was nice.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
It wasn't windy. It's a little windy around the World Reservoir.
But you just have to take the outer passage outer way,
that the path there's two powder paths. Yeah, because when
it's windy, it's not fun. But then I got back
on the second half of it. It was dope and
I was moving. I did get a little bit and
you got.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
To keep that up, baby, you got to keep that up.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
But it was beautiful out. It was really really a
beautiful winter day. It feels like it's a you know,
spring ish. Anyway, I understand as a fifty five year
old man soon to be fifty four, let's just break I'm.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
Gonna hang out, stay there, stay there, stay.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
There for as long as I can. I understand how
it could happen. I've been through relationships with friends where
you kind of have these growing pains and these points
where the relationship if you're not careful, and I think
they're doing a good thing by talking about it.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah, that's why I love about it, that men have
those sort of feelings and neediness towards each other and
you know, well, I don't want to interrupt you.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
But but for me, it's usually like fuck you, fuck you. Yeah,
and that's what it turns into. But I feel like
if you treat it like a relationship, like a real brotherhood,
and you treat it like a friend as opposed to like,
you know, it's a guy, and you treat it like
somebody care about, you can salvage it because they do grow,
You do go through ebbs and flows, and in relationships,

(07:07):
historically with women and you know, dudes like I have
been known to go full man on fire and I
don't just blow up the building, I blow up the
whole block.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Yeah, the same.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I do the same when it goes down by the
whole fucking blocks getting blown up.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
So I see and I like that they're doing it. Craig,
Is it Craig or Greg Craig? Yeah, because you know,
I have a problem with differentiating G R, E, G
and C.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Or something new to do you know that.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
No, I don't know that. I know your colorblind, but
this is something brand names. Craig and Greg. Yes, okay,
well they're very different.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
To me, they're the exact same.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
I didn't know. It's kind of scaring me. The I
don't know if I can look at you the same.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
His name is Greg Craig, Greg Craig, Craig, Craig Craig,
and was Greg Greg.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
I got it anyways, weird.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
No, it's our friend in Craig with g r E. Yeah,
you mention and I used to call him Craig.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
You have another friend, Greg.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
I don't know who you're talking about. The point is
is that I'm glad they're talking about it. And Craig
is going through you know, growth changing, he's building his business.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
And he said, you know, my whole life is business work.
And I get it.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
And you get to your point where it's like, yo,
I'm not going to fuck around. And and then of
course Shep and Austin are like, but what about the gym?
What about the drinking? And he's like, yo, we do
all that and we film it and we do podcasts.
So I think that the relationship will be changed. Although
I did see Austin on Watch what Happens. I don't
know how it turns out, but they've had a little shift,

(08:51):
but it's fine.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Permanent, Like it's permanent. Because I was thinking while we
were watching them have this conversation when they when poor
Austin was ambushed by Craig showing up with Shep.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah, he thought they were gonna have like It was.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
A great scene and it was really kind of actually
heartwarming because Austin, I don't know if it's the look,
he just his facial expressions.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
He really looks affected by things, and I think he
really is.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
You know, he's lost a sibling that passed away, Like,
I think separation for him is difficult. And then you
see him meet uh, my favorite girl. What's her name,
the Southern bell, the blonde, the blonde, what's her name?

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Why am I not?

Speaker 1 (09:26):
No?

Speaker 4 (09:27):
That Taylor is the other blonde? Oh my gosh, I
love her so much.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
What's her name? We'll come back.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah, And when he's meeting, they broke up and they're
still friends in their meeting.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
So I think he has abandonment.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Issues, yes, And what's nice to see is him just
that Shep's on his side because I think she has
abandonment issues.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
We see him really having trouble.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Over this girl, Miss Bahamas Ms Bahamas turns out to
be shady grady.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
She's a sickle fan. Yeah, she's a beautiful.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Yeah, she's on Riah and did the dating app Riah
and she which which is for wealthier people.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
You find that she's on Riah, but the fact that
she's like a.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Big but I think she picked Riah so that she
can meet men of means and maybe hopefully famous men
because Whitney. She hit up Whitney before that. Anyway, I digress.
I feel like I couldn't help. But wonder now that
we know that Craig is broken up with Page, I
wonder if the friendship would have gone back to a

(10:25):
little bit more. I mean, you know, sometimes you get
a relationship, you're priorities in the future, you have, you
want kids, you don't have the same amount of time,
you're driven, your focus and also a lot of your
time is taken up by your mate.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
And I'm wondering if the breakup.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
There will be a little bit of time or was
a little bit of time where they hung out like
old times.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
We'll see, We'll see, because I feel like Paige, you know,
I don't know where she's from. I am very curious
as to where Page is from in New York. If
she's actually from New York City, she seems like she
might be like, oh, those two dufices sure, you can't
judge that their dufice is or not.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
So you had to do fitst friends that I never
said anything about. Those are his home home.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
He's not going to be able to redo those kinds
of friendships.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Somebody like your rider dies that you grew up with,
that knew you before this, even though the people might
not be great, they might be flawed, they might.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
Be yeah's got to stay out of it.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Yeah, you can't duplicate those friendships there. They're once in
a lifetime, especially when they're at the age that these
guys are at, which I think is mid thirties heading
into their forties ish or late thirties or I don't know.

(11:42):
Potomac has been great. I want to I want a
red flag. I want to publicly red flag what TJ.
This guy TJJ who goes out with Stacy they're dating.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
This guy seems like a loose cannon.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Oh, he should be on the TV show Snapped.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
I think that he's better suited for that show because
he Wow, he actually scares me. And the fact she
seems like a semi bright woman that she can't see
his behavior is way way off, way off, especially for
somebody who's not giving you no d you know what
I'm saying, Like they're not even sleeping together, Like what's up?

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Man? Stay back up?

Speaker 2 (12:22):
TJ seems like he wants to come across as all smiles,
but I think he's like a smiling clown behind that smile.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Like Chucky with a knife.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
He seems angry. Yes, he seems extremely insecure.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
And we were watching Watch What Happens Live and the
Green Eyed Bandits.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
It was great to see them back to That was
a great episode. They both seem light. Yes, they're both funny.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
They were both giving like the black far faucets to me.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
They were like, yes, both of their blonde hair. They
were beautiful.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
And Giselle said on watch what happened?

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Yeah, she said he screams at her when the cameras
aren't up. Yes, and he did. She looked the best,
in my opinion, she looked all season. In the final
episode for the Doggie Walk, the doggie adoption thing, she
had her hair curl.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
She had no she had a shorter I believe wig
on that was like a bob cut that was sort
of blonder at the end, curl with curl.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
It was very It was lovely look.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
For her, and she still didn't see her ears because
Jesselle mentioned on the show that you know she always
wears her hair straight and that we're not sure what
her ears looked like, which.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
I thought was hilarious.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Yes, but yeah, she looked the best ever. And he
when he first saw her, he was he looked at her.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Like new hair, new hair.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
She was like, do you like it? And he goes,
if you like it? I like it.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
That is the worst thing you say to a woman.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
That's the worst thing you say to anybody, they particularly
a woman. But like sometimes we'd be like, yo, you
don't like my shoe. Yo, if you'd like it, I
like it?

Speaker 1 (13:48):
What does that mean? It means I don't like it.
But I mean, you know what's creepier.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Let's take it a step.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
For the reason why he didn't like it is because
he hadn't seen her for a few days, so he
wasn't aware of the change. He actually pulled her side
and said like, I don't know what's happening here. You
have new hair, Like he needs to be in control.
But again I will say again, brother, if we're not
sleeping together, stay up my business. Like he's all on her,
but doesn't really want to be all on her. You know,

(14:14):
it's very weird to me. The guy strikes me as
perhaps a grifter who wants to get on a TV show.
I was giving a little bit of that.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
You you better hope that's the least of it, right,
No bullshit.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
That guy gives me a weird fucking to christing and
trying to get on a TV show is hopefully the
least of it. Because as you notice at the end
when they did her little wrap up little thing, I
want to cry on the TV, they didn't mention him and.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
He's no good I hope, bye bye TJ. I hope
because she on this episode had a friend Cup.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
We haven't seen AJ, her homeboy from Chicago, who was
gay up.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Together on the show. He's hilarious.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yes, we loved him, and he literally let us all
know that's not the guy for you and said to
her she was like looking at him. Why they've known
each other so long. AJ knows Stacy and knows that's
not the move.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
And even if it's not the guy for you, I
don't think that's the guy for that guy.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
I'm telling you he needs something off about that.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
I agree that I don't feel you you pegg did.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
I think he's highly highly insecure.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Highly insecure.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
But also he just seems really passive aggressive and like
at both of the group settings when he had an
opportunity to mingle and you know, they got food and
there's a bar and there's the other cast meets and
he's sitting there like, yo, you're leaving me by myself.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Well, I'll just be right here then, like what you're
the man? Like, by the way, he's partly hosting it.
He should be mingling with everybody, but he's worried about
what she's doing.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Go say helload to the black Bill Gates. He's right there.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Yeah, I mean, go say hello to one of the
other guys that hang out, Go say a loot to
the one other.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
You can't, you know, co habitat. You don't have to mingle.
You gotta be like forty some you mingle with some people.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
He seems unstable.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Yeah, I don't. I don't like it. Yeah, but Potomac
ended yes. And I don't know if we I think
we said it on the last episode. Doesn't matter. Each
episode is more fantastic than the next.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Lagron Dome is either taking a self sabbatical or they
told her.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I think they probably said, let's give you a break.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Yeah, I hope so, And we're going to give you
an opportunity to announce the break on your own because
everybody's rooting for La Grandom and if she has drinking issues,
which allegedly because again the reference watch What Happens Live
with Giselle and Robin Dixon, who again has been on Traders, which, Babe,
I don't mean to kick a fucking fantastic horse, but

(16:42):
Traders has been the best.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
It's true. Are we going there? Are we gonna finish? Okay?

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (16:48):
Because I wanted to, she said.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Robin said that after the video footage of Karen getting
arrested came out, they both agreed to Giselle and Karen
that it was reminiscent to phone calls they received at
ten am, two am anytime from the lagrondame, which is
really sad. I really hope she's taking a self sabbatical

(17:11):
because we all love a comeback story. And if she's
a smart, astute businesswoman like I know she is, she'll
find her way back.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
I think she'll find her way back.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
And tell us what the real deal is.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, I mean I think she obviously has not obviously,
I mean she has a drinking situation, and we wish
her nothing but the best. We wish Lagrondame, Karen Huger
and the black Bill Gates nothing but the best.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Do you want to pivot into.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
I just want to say one other thing. I think
it should be said out loud that she got her
name lagron Dame from Giselle.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Was it Gizelle or Andy?

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Gazelle said it in the package of their sizzler reel
before they got picked up. That should be said, because
when she got arrested, she did say that Andy gave
that name. She was talking let's let's let's just give
credit where credit is due.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
She was talking at shit in her in her arrest video.
It was crazy, Yeah, it was crazy anyway. Traders season three, Babe,
I don't know if there's any show or game or
anything that we watch and we're literally like salvating, yes.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
We really like.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
What is it about the show that you really like?
Like I'm trying to figure it out for myself. What
do you think it is for you?

Speaker 1 (18:31):
That's a good question.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
I think for me, it's obviously number one it's fun
number two. It's literally totally unpredictable. It is a game show.
It is a game show, and it is playing out
in real time. And I think because of the characters
that we know, but it's not even the characters that
we know. I think you're really seeing real people try

(18:56):
to deceive. Yeah, to deceive, but not to deceive and
not come off to deceiving. And I can't help but
put myself in the show and imagine the long hours,
because what we see in an hour long episode, you know,
there's hours, so much footage. Yeah, and how do you
keep it on? How do you not keep it on?

(19:18):
And I will say this, I will say one thing.
I did an episode of I think it might have
been Deal or No Deal?

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Deal or No Deal?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Remember that show Deal or No Deal.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
We were sitting at the table with the person and
the other. Yeah, that was one thousand the Pyramid show.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
One of those shows.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Yeah, long, there wasn't Deal or No Deal. It was
I was with you.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Notice before, Babe, it's before this.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Was Michael Strahan hosted No No.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
That was the.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
One hundred thousand dollars Pyramid.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah, this is remember Deal or Not? It was NBC
so the.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Megan Marco with the Suitcasel, the women with the suitcase
that open the shit phone, a friend in the middle.
We stand in the middle and the person get has
to answer the question and if they don't get it right,
they have a chance to fun in front.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Maybe one of them shows.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
And there was a person on the show that people
didn't like in real life. Oh, they just he just
was kind of I'm not gonna say who it is
because I like the persona, but.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
They kind of were like, get rid of this fucking guy.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Like just you know, and and he didn't necessarily need
to be gotten rid of.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
The way the producers asked you to do.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
No, No, he was just a fucking prick who wanted
to get rid of the guy.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Maybe I had something to do with it.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Maybe a couple of us were like fuck them, you know,
like get rid of them. Anyway, I just like the show.
I think it's fun. I think it's unpredictable. I think
that fucking Boston Rob is dope. I love how dolorous
going at Tom Sandval. I love seeing Tom Sandevil in
the wild. I love that Robin Dixon said what did
she say?

Speaker 1 (20:53):
What she was like?

Speaker 2 (20:54):
He said what do you think of Tom Sandval on
the show? And she said he didn't. She didn't say clueless.
She said he's kind of.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Out of time, out of touch, yes, which highly I
highly agree. It's the nicest thing you could say about Tom.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
But if you're not judging him based on vander Pump rules,
that's a perfect.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Way to right.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
But she said she didn't watch Banner Pump so she
could just say, yeah, she's out of touch.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yeah, And I think that's a great way to perfect
perfect because it's like, who are you?

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Man?

Speaker 2 (21:21):
What the You're not in the Red Hot Chili Peppers,
but you look like the guy from the Red Hot
Chili Peppers.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
He shows up to breakfast in a kilt because he's
in Scotland.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
He just dresses the part.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
Yes, a fascinating guy, but he's made it.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
He's done better.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
See my point about Tom Sandivil and my reference to
Deal or No Deal if that was the show, is
that I would have thought he would have fucked himself
just by But he's playing it smarter than I predicted
he would play it.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
His person I don't.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Think he knows what he's playing. I think he's just
kind of lucky.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
He says, my instinct is But then I'm like, maybe
this fucking guy is devious, but I don't think that.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
No, no, he doesn't know what's happening.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
But that's what I'm saying, like the amount of hours
that they film, like who's playing the game twenty four
to seven?

Speaker 1 (22:08):
When do you let your guard down? And how does
it work?

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Because that's interesting now when you say that, like we're
watching it as just your entertainment.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
But they do have to play it up all the time.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
But maybe they're just shooting when they're shooting, and they
keep them separate from them so they don't actually sleep
in the cast.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I think they keep them really separate.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
What's my man's name from Summerhouse with You who used
to have the mullet with the blonde hair, used to.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
Have the mullet the blond Amanda's husband, Amanda's husband.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Yeah, because he was on the show and he said
that that part of it was real, Like yo, he goes,
they separate.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Us so they don't go when they go upstairs to
go to sleep.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
And he goes, we're quarantine.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
They when you come in the mornings, just playing the game.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Like you don't see who left right the whotel like
they have.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
To do it that way, Otherwise, if they had spent
too much time together, it would never.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Worry, would fuck it up. And I think that they
really sustain. That's sort of like what's going to happen,
Who's got kicked off?

Speaker 1 (22:58):
And all that stuff.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
So I just think it's I just I think it's
mind bending.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
I really do, because there is some kind of skill
to it that no one yet really knows, because I
keep thinking about I would do horrible on that show.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
But then you sometimes say you would do great.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
No, I don't like.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
I think that I would play it like sort of
Dolores is playing it so far or Fhedra, where I
would stay pretty anonymous but friendly, you know. I think
that you cannot get too emotional. Facial expressions have to
be in check. You have to be likable but not available. Yeah,
And I think those ladies are really good out of that.

(23:34):
And they're strong, so you have to be very strong.
There's a lot to it, and that's what I like,
this sociological element to it, of relating with each other
in life, because lying into someone's face, even for a game,
to me, it's just I.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
Know, you're terrible.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
It's horrible. I wouldn't be I wouldn't be able to
do it.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
I wouldn't be good at the lie. I'd be comfortable
with the lying right in their fucking face. Like, yo, man,
it's not me, all right. I am a trader, I'm
I'm not a true The thing that outside of that
I suck at is I am not good at manipulating.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Like I'm not good at planting a seed for me
right that you.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
Would never be able to exactly you would do. You're horrible.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
But I could tell the motherfucker Yo, I ain't a
fucking trader man, and this motherfucker could do that good, yeah, good, Yeah,
But but the fucking manipulating shit, I am not good
at it. Yeah, And that's what I'm trying to figure
out who's doing that because that's something I'm not good
at manipulating, and I'm super good at being manipulated.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Well, the one lady Danielle is doing that, I mean,
she cries when somebody doesn't come in from breakfast. It's
ridiculous to me.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
I also going back to Robin on Watch what Happens,
Like she did say that that lady was the most
annoying one in the cast. Yes, Danielle, Yeah, the Trade.
I think that it's very interesting. I was trying to
look up and see what the world like I've Reddit
people are really saying about the show, which is fascinating,
really into it, you know, just everybody breaks down the episode.

(24:55):
One thing that I think is really interesting is that
the three Traders are the messy out of the season's
the American.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Show thus far.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Going after each other immediately is usually not a tactic
for the show. And I think that it's interesting that
this Danielle, who I believe came from Survivors Yes, and
was on it with not Caroline, the other blonde cats.
They had a problem on that show, so I think
she came into it going I am going to do
everything necessary to win, which is so what I read

(25:24):
that I thought was funny. I pointed out to you,
so Unphaedra, how she's behaving. I have a feeling. I mean,
we have an episode coming up this week, I know,
but I have a I don't know. I think she
could go down. I don't know, I could be wrong.
I kind of would like to see her go down. Yeah,
I just her going after Caroline, and it just seems

(25:44):
so there's no allegiance between the traders, which they're the traders,
there's few of them, like just as faithful stick together.
I think traders have to stay together until a certain
point in the show.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
So anyway, I.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Love the show. I love that you love the show.
It's so much fun. I told my mom to watch it.
She was like, I try to watch it, couldn't get
into it. I thought that was so strange.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
You know, we have the luxury, we have the great
luxury of both of us loving and watching the show
right and getting to discuss it right.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
I told her to watch it. We could call me
when we talk about Yes.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
But there's something different about like with all our reality shows,
like it is such a part of our relationship. There's
so much a part of our love language. To sit down,
like should we watch it now? No, let's wait, No,
let me go to the bathroom before I know. Let's
have a snack. Let's not have a snack. Let's set
this your phone down, watch turn the lights on, turn
the lights off. That makes it a lot a lot funner.
And then, especially for these game shows and for all

(26:44):
the shows we get to discuss them like, oh, he's
an asshole. Yeah, she's a bit, Yes she's stupid. That's
a luxury.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Sorry.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
I can understand how somebody, if you're not in the
frame of mind to appreciate it, is in appreciating it.
I will say full transparency, babe that I reached out

(27:11):
because the other surprise show is we love that fucking
Special Forces?

Speaker 1 (27:16):
I DM Cam Newton. He did, and I asked Cam Newton.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
I said, Yo, Cam Newton, who is a former NFL
MVP and who was kicking ass as he should on
Special Forces?

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Yeah, he's fucking.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Sixty six to sixty right he I mean, wait, I said, Yo,
will you come on?

Speaker 1 (27:34):
I said, we love the show. Me and my wife
loved the show.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
And I asked him, I said, yo, has any football
practice ever been as hard as the stuff that you
had to do on Special Forces? And he said, ha ha,
he laughed. He said, yeah, it's no joke. I underestimated it.
And I said, can you please come on the podcast?
No football? All we want to talk about is Special Forces?
And he said, are you going to be in New

(27:58):
Orleans for Super Bowl Week? And I said no? And
then he said where do you shoot the pockets, I said,
I shoot in New York. I said, we don't have
to do it face to face. We could just do
like fifteen minutes on zoom because I want to make
it happen, because that show.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Is fascinating, fascinating, fascinating. So it's not as it was.
He wasn't expecting how difficult. That's crazy from a football player.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Yeah, yeah, it's crazy for a football Well, you can
see on.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
The show that it's crazy for both the football players,
Golden and him, like they're they're not they're struggling because
that's also a mind game too.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
It's just it's mental. There's mental games to.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
It, totally. Yeah, and you're out of your comfort zone.
You know.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
For those guys a Golden Tate and Cam Newton, their
football somehow someway came easy to them, right, you know,
not that they didn't put work in it, but like
they are touched by God, yeah and the work and
all that stuff. But it's like for them they didn't
have to figure it out, right, football is something that
came organically. Yeah, getting your head dunked in water.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Just yeah, it's different.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Also, if you're a marathon runner doesn't mean that you
could join this Special Forces, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Right, if you're a marathon or if you're a sprinter,
doesn't mean you could play a wide receiver in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
Right, They're all different skills exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
And you know, be sleeping on a cot and all
those things.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
None of that especially for the football players, because these
guys are fucking spoiled, baby hampered, right. So uh, anyway,
I would love to have him on the podcast because
we really, I mean, damn it, that show is really
fucking good, and I mean there's so many different chills
right now. We got Salt Lake City diss in Reunion
Part two. We got New York Reunion, which has been

(29:31):
I mean just it's difficult to watch, babe. Did you
see that there's casting calls for New York and New Jersey?

Speaker 3 (29:40):
I know, well, the New York they did a casting
call and then they put it on pause. They picked
new girls apparently and younger, and they also put their
original cast on pause. And I think the producers don't
know what they're gonna do. The last thing I read, yeah,
that they did cast, but they don't know how to
move forward because as we all know, they toltally did
a reboot on New York and look how that's working.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Yeah, you can't reboot a reboot.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Yeah, exactly what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Before you get rid of the original that we all
know and love and that we're all very close to,
regardless of how it talks, that they may be, you know,
getting rid of that for the fan and replacing.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
With all new kats. I can't do that.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
I don't think you can do that.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
I don't know what the hell they're gonna do. I
don't know what they're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Because yes, the reunion and yes Puerto Rico was great,
but unlike us, there are some people that jump ship.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
There are some.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
People that are like, I'm not done. Yeah, you know,
take your apple and shove it. Yeah, I you know
what I'm We were close.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
We're listen, when did we change back though Iaco? Yeah,
Puerto Rico. But then we also got really skeeved out
by it, Like it's like, is that what I mean?
That kind of wild accusation and then retraction and then
I mean, gone, girl, I told you, like I'm I'm
not with it, like it's got to be controlled chaos.

(30:59):
But yes, that's right above board. We got to be
all have our with about us.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
I don't like it to get too dirty or too grimy.
I don't like to go down the you know, the
wig snatching, the love and hip hop and this is
the same kind of toxic yeah, but different.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
We'll see on the next reunion. I whether there's one
more we've seen two or with just one. I think
it's one one so far tomorrow night, but I think that, uh,
we'll see the reunion.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
Previews don't look like things get better. It's not crazy,
they're not crazy.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Better And to pivot finally, and I don't mean to
throw this at you publicly. I don't mean to throw
this at you in a public form. No rapp reports reality.
I want to talk about some expectations. I want to
talk about some sort of.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Uh to talk about seven layered dip.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
That's what I want to talk to you about.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
I want to talk about expectations for Super Bowl Sunday,
which is I.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Think that you'll be flying in you won't. I don't
know what time you'll be home. I think you're traveling
and then you come in the day of so like,
I don't know what you're expecting because you're not even
gonna be here. You'll probably get home, probably just in
time for the kickoff.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Yes, so I'll be hungry.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
You'll be hungry, And it's not even i'll be hungry.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
I probably won't be hungry because this whole that's like.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Whenever we're just do the super Bowl alone, I feel
like it's always so gross before it even starts, We've
eaten so many chips and shit, that's just like disgusting.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Because I'm flying in, we could really zero in on
just one or two things, Okay, to celebrate the super Bowl.
It's gonna be First of all, it's gonna be a
great game. If you guys don't watch football, I don't
need to tell you why you should watch the super
Bowl because it's the Super Bowl. We got the commercials,
we have all that stuff. We have Taylor Swift. But
the game itself is it is gonna be a good

(32:47):
game unless there's an injury, which I hope there's not
an injury early in the game. It is going These
are two good teams, there's gonna be a lot of scoring,
there's a lot of stars.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
So the game itself is gonna be good.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
I'm excited about Kendrick lam I'm excited about all the commercials.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
I'm excited.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
I wonder what friends Taylor's going to bring to the game.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
That's what I'm talking And Blake Lively, Holy oh boy.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
Yeah, we're not even gonna go there. The whole world
has taken a deep dive. Was on CNN and FOG
they had I mean, it's a It's news, which is
so weird, which led me to go down a rabbit hole.
And then once I went down the rabbit hole, I
regretted it. I was like, this is absolutely ridiculous and
unprecedented that something of this nature would be so public.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
I mean, who are these people?

Speaker 3 (33:33):
Also, by the way, I didn't even know who Justin
Baldoni was two weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
I didn't know who he was. Now I have an
idea who he is.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
I'm probably going to be Team Justin at the end
of this, after it feels like it after taking a
deep dive. It's pretty scary the accusations when there's all
kinds of receipts of it being not true, I mean
many receipts. It's fascinating that they let it get this
far and it's not even a publicity stunt to make use.
It came out a long time ago and it's on Netflix,

(34:02):
so it doesn't affect And I feel.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Like, in some way I want to watch the movie
because no disrespect at all. What I don't like, and
I said to you yesterday, is like, this doesn't reflect
good on Hollywood.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
You know all the stereotypes. You know.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Every time I do press, I'm doing press for my shows.
If there's anybody listening, I'll be in San Diego this
weekend the sixth, seventh and eighth, Yes, I talk about
reality TV the sixth seventh and eighth in San Diego,
and then yes, I will be in Philadelphia the way
using our podcast, yes, February fourteenth, at the film More.
But when I do press, especially radio press, like local

(34:40):
radio or local news, one of the questions that always
comes up is they'll be like, who did you work
with that you loved? Tell me who the biggest asshole?

Speaker 4 (34:49):
I know that's always a question.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
People are fascinated with that, and I always say, like, yo,
I can't name one. I can name a couple of people.
I've had bad afternoons.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
Yeah, but you've had bad afternoon.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, I've had I've had bad mornings, right, But I've
never seen or been a part of somebody just being
a fucking dick day after day after day.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
I think you're lucky that you haven't seen that, because
I think it probably exists hard every day.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Yeah, I guess, yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
I mean, it's just a state of mind if you
think you're superior. But if you're an actor, no offense,
you're kind of a narcissist. So the likeliness of that
happening is could be a big probability.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
This perpetuates these stereotypes, I agree, craziness and super duper
narcissism in Hollywood. And I'm like, you two shouldn't be
doing this because Blake Lively no disrespected, justin about DONI
no disrespect.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
It's like Hollywood's got.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Enough stereotypes and enough you know, bad sort of pub
as of late and the Diddy and then this and that.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
We don't need you too, no making it any worse
for the rest of us.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
Yeah, And like I said, like you said, it's like,
what's his movie? It's this is not you know, Hamlet,
Like what's happening. I don't get the big deal, but
I do what the most fascinating takeaway from me doing
my deep dive.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Is that.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
Quickly I'll say that.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
I guess he has a podcast justin Baldoni that's pretty popular.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
Okay, who doesn't.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
But his whole thing is about debunking, uh not debunking,
let's say, challenging the mask male toxicity and what real
men really should be, and that he's very much a lover,
not a fighter. He's he's had addictions, he was into
poor you know, this is a man of self growth
and you know, and so now for him to be

(36:47):
accused of these things, it's sort of like it doesn't
really line up with his man bun, you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
It doesn't doesn't it doesn't help his brand.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
And right into the movies to be about domestic violence,
and she wanted to make a movie that was more
like Floral's Everybody Wear Florals to come right, And he
was trying to do sort of like what's the movie
with Meg Ryan and Antonio Banderis where there was drinking involved.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
You know.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
He wanted to make sort of like that darker type
of movie. And when they tested the two, they shot
two edits. I mean they had two edits because she
picked somebody to edit, and he had his own editor.
It was just like a mess of to creative people
not coming into agreeance of what they wanted. She got
had halfway through. She got her own producers to be
on the show because she didn't trust him. I know,
I said it was going to do quickly. But all

(37:33):
that to say is that when they tested in front
of audience to two different edits, his was a darker
movie and hers was sort of a fluffier version of
sort of a llah my best friend's Taylor Swift, happy
red lipstick, and his tested stronger and they used her
version anyway, So this is just like power and influence
and it seems to be really really crazy like it

(37:56):
It just it just seems like really weird because he
went on press junkets and tore doing his press, and
he talked about domestic violence, and she went on hers
and she sort of talked about romantic comedy and hair care.
Her she's selling a hair care line. So like it
just seems like, I don't know, it's so.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Did you ever see the making of Apocalypse? Now? Yes?

Speaker 2 (38:22):
I think, yes, what the I mean this is a
movie that warrants craziness. Yes, people getting.

Speaker 4 (38:28):
Behind the scenes and they're out there in the jungle strokes.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Yes, crazy actors, you know, starting production, stopping production. This
is a little romantic comedy with two unknown people.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
Well not unknown.
