Speaker 1 (00:03):
President Trump meets the press well more likes beat the
press as he shoots down their narratives about divisiveness and
promises to unite the country with success. President Trump didn't
miss words about the chaotic situation in Syria either. As
the Aside regime falls, Trump says American needs to stay
(00:23):
out of it, and our allies.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
And enemies are acting accordingly.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
With Trump about to retake the White House and Iran's
power disintegrating in the Middle East, this has been a
terrible bad week for Barack Obama, and he's starting to
look just as desperate and angry as he might think
he is. Obama also just beclowned himself with a new
tone deaf and hypocritical speech about pluralism. It hasn't exactly
(00:51):
been a good few days for the cops trying to
nab that guy who shot the United Healthcare CEO, but
they did release a new still picture of the suspect,
and the manhunt is still pretty intense. And also here
in New York, we're still awaiting a verdict in the
trial of subway hero Daniel Penny, but the worst charge
against him has been thrown out.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
The judge in the case still seems like.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
He's all in on a very dirty trick to get
any convicted of something. American Edition American Sunrise Early Edition

have found.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
American Sunrise Early Edition with your host Jake Novak, starts now.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
I am Jake Novak. Welcome to American Sunrise Early Edition.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Thanks for getting up to join me and the great
control room crew that makes this happen. We'll get you
ready for the day with the top stories and some
of the smart commentary the regime news media couldn't give
you if they tried. Okay, speaking of the regime news media,
President Trump went on Meet the Press yesterday. He made
some news, but this might have been the biggest piece
of news.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Listen to this.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
You've promised to end birthright citizenship on day one. Is
that still your plan?
Speaker 5 (02:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:25):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
The Fourteenth Amendment, though, says that quote, all persons born
in the United States are citizens. Can you get around
the fourteenth Amendment with a change?
Speaker 7 (02:35):
Will maybe have to go back to the people, but
we have to end it with the only country that
has it.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
You're an executive action.
Speaker 7 (02:40):
No, we're the only country that has it. Do you
know if somebody sets a foot of just a foot
one foot, you don't need to on our land. Congratulations,
you are now a citizen of the United States of America. Yes,
we're going to end that because it's ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Joining me now to talk about this and much more
is my first guest, Vanessa Simon. She's a Republican political strategist. Vanessa,
the gaming of immigration because of birthright policies is an issue.
It's worth reconsidering that.
Speaker 8 (03:11):
No, absolutely, I think President Trump did an excellent job
yesterday because he referenced we the people, and if we
do have to kind of revisit the fourteenth Amendment, it
should be done. I think this is what causes us
to have the immigration crisis that we're in right now.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
With all the migrants.
Speaker 8 (03:32):
It's incentivizing of them to come across the border, and
the birthright piece, you know, I really feel like we
do have to get back to a place where there
is a merit based process, where we're having people earn
the right to become American citizens.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Vanessa.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
The regime news media, let's stay on this topic of immigration.
The regime news media is trying to I think, scare
Americans into believing that any deportation, any deportation program by
the incoming Trump administration will be something like a dystopian movie,
like The Purge or something. But maybe these scaremongers ought
to read the room. I want you to check this
post out by my friend Scott Rasmussen. Here's what he
(04:15):
had to say. By a two to one margin, sixty
two percent to thirty one percent, voters support Donald Trump's
plan for using local law enforcement, national Guard, and military
to deport illegal immigrants. And that's per a Neapolitana Apolitan
News survey of one thousand registered voters.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Vanessa.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
It sounds like the regime news media has a very
heavy lift if they think they can get Americans to
oppose this.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
I think that they have a tough job ahead of them,
right absolutely.
Speaker 8 (04:44):
I mean I constantly speak from the lens of being
a millennial twenty fifteen, we actually surpassed boomers with the
population footprint. That being said, when we're talking academic accolade
degree is we're technically the most educated by degree. And
you have instances like these issues where we're coming from
(05:05):
under the college debt, like we want to use the
education that's been you know, acquired by us. And then
whenever we question things that just aren't adding up because
it's not adding up, and this is one of those
things where it's like, we absolutely should revisit this because
we see increase in crime, we see the toll it's
(05:27):
taken on our economy, We see our classrooms being overloaded
and the burdens taken by on by teachers and US millennials,
we're really looking around like, hey, what's happening here? So,
no matter how much media tries to do what they
do and do their Houdini tricks and try to brainwash us,
we're using our good judgment and independent thought to question
(05:48):
what's going on.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
You know, I just want to stay on this for
a second.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
You know, Compassion is a two way street, right, It's
not just you can't just say I only have compassion
for one side. And for years, people like me have
been saying It's not that we're not compassionate towards illegal
immigrants who have maybe had a hard time, But there
are so many Americans who the news media doesn't tell
you about, who are suffering because of the overrun situation
(06:13):
they have in their border towns when it comes to
illegal immigration.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
And this is an old story.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
It started back in the nineteen fifties, but especially in
the nineteen eighties and places like El Paso, and I
just wonder if the people, like, for example, Texas Governor
Greg Abbott his decision to bust illegal migrants into these
sanctuary cities.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I wonder if you think that that helped change.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
The narrative, because even though the regime news media is
still trying to demonize anyone who wants to get rid
of illegal immigrants or close the border, I should say,
even though they're trying to demonize them, they can't completely
stifle the narrative anymore because they've been in their own
cities now for more than a year, and they see
the devastation or they see the effect.
Speaker 9 (06:53):
That has.
Speaker 8 (06:56):
No Absolutely, We're right here in New York City. We
are feeling the pain points in real time. We are
seeing the crime, we're seeing the toll that it's taking
fun our beloved city of New York Like this, this
is a real issue that we're all feeling.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
All right, Vanessa, Let's say it's been a lousy, no good,
very bad few weeks for Barack Obama. His party has
lost the election, his friends in Iran have lost most
of their power in the Middle East. And now he
gave a speech a couple of days ago where he
accused the Republicans of everything the Democrats have done in
recent years, including using the legal system against their political opponents. Now,
(07:34):
not surprisingly, Obama is being roasted online for the speech.
But you know, even some Democrats are saying he went
too far, Vanessa, I feel like two regimes fell this weekend,
the Syrian regime and the Obama regime.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
And the Democratic Party.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Do they have a new direction to follow now that
Obama seems to be no longer really in power of
that group.
Speaker 8 (07:56):
You know, I wish I had a better response or
sense of clarity for the Democrats, because I really do
feel like they're scrambling at this point. They tried to
send you know, former President Obama in fourth quarter, one
minute left on the shot clock to try to grab
the black and brown vote, and he failed miserably, and
it was almost offensive to some of the audiences that
(08:19):
were like, hey, like look at the tone he used
specifically with blackmails. So this is yet again another example
like they're trying to resuscitate Obama to try to save
what little they have left. But in all actuality, it's
time for them to just completely start a new path
and just start in a new direction because they clearly
(08:42):
failed with their strategies.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
They were not listening.
Speaker 8 (08:45):
To we the people and what we are experiencing in
the country right now at this point, and that's what
caused them ultimate to ultimately to lose the election. So
I really do feel like this is a moment where
they should go back to the drawing board and try
a different direction. And you know, it doesn't hurt to
try to tune into what actually matters instead of creating
(09:07):
a narrative for people to tune into.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Vanessa.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
You know, we're both in New York and our police
are still trying to find that shooter in the brazen
murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Now they've released this new still picture of him.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
He's in a cab here But another aspect of the
story that I want to talk to you about is
the explosion of people online, some of them prominent people,
who have been openly cheering this murder. Now, Vanessa, listen,
I'm a huge critic of the health insurance companies in
this country. Spoiler alert, Obamacare didn't fix this problem. We're
all paying more for health care insurance than ever before,
(09:43):
and they're a business model.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
I never thought.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
I never thought it made any sense. It's like insuring
yourself against getting sick. We're all going to get sick.
I don't get how that works. It never made any
sense to me. President Trump talked a little bit about
it in the Middleman situation on Meet to Press yesterday.
But cheering the death of this, you know, to me,
that's a really ugly side of humanity. And I want
to and before I let you answer, I want to
give everyone a note of caution. If you're cheering this,
(10:08):
just remember we don't know who the shooter is yet, folks.
This could be a radical terrorist, This could be a
transactivist who's angry. We've seen them involved in mass shootings
in the past. So I just want everyone to be
cautious about cheering this. Even if you agree with me,
the health insurance companies are really bad news and needs
to be and that needs to be changed. Thenessa, what's
your take on all of this?
Speaker 8 (10:31):
Well, first and foremost, it's a tragedy and it's actually alarming,
Like you said, like how much people are cheering this.
On yesterday, believe or not, I saw the headline that
they were having a meetup I want to say, maybe
in Union Square yesterday and it was for the Masked
Shooters lookalike contest, and I was really like, wow, like,
(10:52):
this is the space we're in society right now.
Speaker 10 (10:56):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
You got big.
Speaker 8 (10:58):
Pharma, you got the healthcare industry. Absolutely have my skepticism
and criticism around that. But this was a man murdered
outside of his hotel right during the holiday season.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
You know, he's got his family.
Speaker 8 (11:11):
Like, we've gotten so desensitized, and it's very very, very
concerning and alarming. Frankly so the fact that people are
meeting up to have a lookalike contest and kind of
you know, taking this lightly and ingest.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
We have bigger.
Speaker 8 (11:27):
Issues on our hands because now this is causing me
to question because people are in favor of this will
they really be able to identify the suspect and bring
him into custody, because it's almost like if they find them,
are they going to really rat them out? Because it
looks like a lot of people are for this unfortunate,
very very very unfortunate tragedy.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Well, that's a really good point.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
I hadn't thought about people supporting him and that making
it hard for them to catch him.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
A good point, hevan.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
So let's talk about another thing going on here in
New York to Daniel Penny case. Now, the jury could
not reach a verdict in the manslaughter charge.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
But instead of they're out the whole.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Cases, which judges do almost all the time, you have
that kind of a double deadlock, Judge Wiley decided to
send the jury back, make them deliberate on a lesser charge.
And a lot of legal experts say this was actually
a dirty trick that the judge and the prosecutor were
hoping to do all along to create some kind of
quote compromise verdict, in other words, get them to feel
(12:22):
like they've done something fair to both sides by convicting
him of something he's also not guilty of. What is
your take on this, because as a New Yorker for
most of my life. I can't believe we're in a
place where a jury isn't laughing this case out of court.
I think we've changed. Unless they found the crazies to
be on this jury, I don't know.
Speaker 8 (12:40):
No, absolutely, this is actually very unfortunate because of the fact,
like we go back to what we were sharing about
the migrants crimes out of control of New York City.
No matter how much the Democrats want to cover that
Liberals want to cover that covered up, excuse me, it
is a real issue. I say all this to say
that when we're seeing deplorable policies by you know, Alvin Bragg,
(13:04):
District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and allowing migrants who are committing
crimes to be right back out of the streets, and
then we have this former hero and current hero Penny,
who has you know, ultimately saved lives that day and
going through this trial, it's really really concerning, and I
think that's what has New Yorkers in America at large
(13:26):
just really trying to figure out and wrap our minds
around this. Yet again, another example of something that's happening
that's causing us to question what's going on. But like
you said, when you have the media that's trying to
manipulate things, it only causes us to step back and
be like, what's really happening. So instead of it helping
(13:47):
to disguise what's going on, it's really causing Americans to
step back and be like, we have a real issue
in our justice system right now because we clearly see
this case and then we view what's going on with
the migrants, and we are in trouble.
Speaker 10 (14:00):
We are.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
All right, Well, Vaness, I'm just hoping you know the
jury is it's a question. So if you can hear me, Jerry,
stay stay strong and do.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Not convict this man. That's my opinion, only my opinion.
But I'm talking to you.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Hey, Vanessa Simon, thanks so much for joining us. Coming up,
we'll check the status and the Pete Hegseth nomination. You know,
the battle has come going back and forth to where
his chances right now? But first, two of our real
America's voice superstars. Just let Mitt Romney have it. You're
not gonna want to miss this. It is an epic takedown.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
That is next. Where's the Manhattan Skyline. It's gonna be
(14:53):
a nice day in New York.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
We've had a couple of warmer days all of a sudden,
not warm, but it's still warmer. It's Monday, it's the
s Welcome back to American Sunrise Early Edition.

you really need to tune into SmackDown on Real America's Voice.
On the latest edition, host Pastor Darryl Scott and Pastor
James Davis took Min Romney to task.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
They really gave him a hard time. I think he
deserved to check it out.
Speaker 11 (15:26):
Now was time Bob was SmackDown of the week. SmackDown
of the week. Goal to somebody who should have been
gone a long time ago, the one and only head of.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
The Rhino Party, Min Rhino.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Here's this farewell speech.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Watched this.
Speaker 12 (15:46):
Now I've been in public service for twenty five years,
I've learned that politics alone cannot measure up to the
challenges we face. A country's character is a reflection not
just selected officials, but also of its people. I leave
Washington to return to be one among them.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Jes give the right speech.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
Mint.
Speaker 11 (16:11):
You know what y'all Trump broke me forget it. He
went all right, Trump wins, all lose, So mid Rhino,
because you stuck around a long time.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
My final word to you was.
Speaker 11 (16:22):
This, don't let the don I met you what a
good lord split you on your way out of the Senate. James,
you got some problem work for Mitt Ryan.
Speaker 13 (16:32):
He did all this stuff all these years, was opposed
to one of these never Trump types that was in
his face. He raised money for him, and then he
was informed and the state that second right, all of
this stuff, and then you know he's mad, butt hurt
and so now take your butt hurt itself off to
the subject because we had enough. You know that part
of the party, that old gop that's over a dumb
(16:53):
way to see you later.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
You ain't lying.
Speaker 14 (16:54):
So on three chance, Mitt, for you giving us problems
and for you being a sorry sack of center all
please time. Don't let the doknob Benjamin all three James
one two twee wit.
Speaker 13 (17:05):
Smack you do we smack up man, Get down, don't
come back, don't show your face.
Speaker 9 (17:11):
No more, Go back down Utah or Salt Lake City?
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Who heaven is? And go man Trump broke you?
Speaker 1 (17:20):
All right, by the way, SmackDown airs here on Real
America's Voice every Saturday at seven pm Eastern Time. But
I want to talk a little bit more about Senator
Romney and his legacy for America. Now, many of you
watching right now probably voted for him in twenty twelve.
Speaker 9 (17:34):
I did.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
But if you didn't already know, he was the last
presidential standard bearer carrying a losing message for Republicans. And now
maybe you'll realize that after you remember this famous moment
in his career.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Check this out. There are forty seven percent of the
game will all for the president, all right with him?
Who are caught von vern We believe it there. We
believe the government has a responsibility.
Speaker 15 (17:57):
Hearror that.
Speaker 12 (17:58):
We believe that they are entitled the healthcare of food housing.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
And they will open the president of Okay, here's a
spoiler alert.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Any candidate who immediately concedes losing seven percent of the
vote is not a winner. Romney was the best example
of the wrong turn the Republicans took when they chose
George H. W. Bush to succeed Ronald Reagan and not
another guy named Jack Kemp. Now, Kemp believed that there
was no American of any color or any economic level
who shouldn't be addressed by the Republicans. He went to
(18:34):
all those neighborhoods no other Republican would go to. Until
Donald Trump did it again in twenty sixteen. Romney was
a man of retreat and became obvious his problems with
Trump weren't really about policy. They were about the fact
that Trump's success embarrassed Romney because of his failures. All right,
coming up, speaking of the old versus the New and
the GOP, a new kind of Republican has just won
(18:57):
a contest in a very unlikely race.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
You those details.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
And also we're fully into the Christmas shopping season and
more experts say one industry is going to be merrier
than most others. The story coming up when we come back.
(19:34):
Now we have the streets of man At in front
of you. And now welcome back to American Sunrise early edition.
Let's check where your money is going to start this
new week. You know, we have a pretty much mixed
to I should really just say a flat market. Right now,
this has been a super super year for the markets.
It was going well in the first place, and then
when investors started to figure out that Donald Trump was
going to win this election, it got even better. Right now,
(19:55):
they're just waiting on their Santa Claus, and their Santa
Claus for the markets right now is FED rate cut.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
They expect another rate cut in a couple of days.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Now, investors are still basking in the afterglow of what
you could call a Goldielocks jobs report. I'll explain this
for November now. The official Labor Department report for last
month showed a net gain of two hundred and.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Twenty seven thousand jobs.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
That was just a bit higher than the two hundred
and fourteen thousand that was expected. So the job market
is strong enough for investors to feel good about the
consumer buying power, but still not so hot to worry
that the Fed won't give them that interest rate cut
they're hoping for and they're betting on it. So not
too hot, not too cold. Goldielocks, get it. That's why
they get that term. Now, speaking of the Fed, the
(20:37):
FED rate cut, President Trump is not dead set on
removing current FED chairman J Powell. His real name is
Jerome Powell, but no one calls him that to Jay Powell.
When asked about Powell and has Meet the Press interview yesterday,
Trump said he was not looking to remove him when
he takes office next month.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
Now.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Trump first put Powell into the job at the FED
in twenty eighteen, and then Joe Biden, even though he
said everything about Trump was evil, he still renominated Powell
for the second term. So Jerome Powell's going to stay
in office. J Powell is going to stay there now.
Early indications are that sales of cars, trucks, and SUVs
here in America are very strong so far this month
compared to the last few years. Now, some of this
(21:13):
is due to those deep discounts. We're getting some good
interest rate deals, but whatever the reason, dealerships across the
country are reaping the rewards. As far as automaker stocks
are concerned, however, GM is still really the only big
winner for twenty twenty four. GM shares are up more
than fifty percent for the year so far. Everyone else
is kind of flat.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Now.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Another reason for those better sales for cars, especially when
we're talking about trucks and SUVs, is the falling price
of gasoline. The national average price for a gallon of
regular is three dollars and one cent, and those lower
prices make it easier to stomach the bigger vehicles that
Americans love. Now, this is all happening despite all the
turmoil in the Middle East. Remember when there was wars
in the Middle East and you knew you were going
(21:51):
to pay for it to the pump, not so much.
Oil prices are actually way down from where they were
just before the October seven, twenty twenty three attacks on Israel.
Nexts prices will fall further, of course, when President Trump
removes some restrictions on US drilling. And that's your American
Sunrise Early edition morning business briefing.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Now many of us are watching the.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Trial of subway hero Daniel Penny very closely, and on
the latest edition of Stinchfield Tonight, host Grand Stenchfield talk
to a legal expert about where we are in this
case right now.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Check it out.
Speaker 5 (22:23):
What does this mean now for Daniel Penny. They've thrown
out the first charge. On the face of it, you think, okay,
well that's a good thing, but I'm not actually sure that.
Speaker 9 (22:30):
It is.
Speaker 10 (22:33):
Well, so procedurally they're probably allowed to do this. We
may not like it. I don't like lesser included defenses.
I think it should be unconstitutional to do that. I
think the prosecution, the state should charge you with a crime,
argue that crime, either convict you or not on the
basis of that crime, not try for these compromised verdicts.
But New York procedural law apparently allows them to do this.
(22:54):
The real problem here, of course, is that, as you
said earlier, these charges should not have been brought in
the first place. In fact, I would argue that Daniel
Penny would have been legally privileged to simply shoot Jordan
Neely in the face had he been armed with the pistol,
based on the fact that Jordan Neely was making credible
threats of imminent unlawful deadly force arm to those other
(23:17):
passengers on the subway car. So if deadly force would
have been authorized, certainly a choke or a restraint is authorized.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
You know, this is New York City. He wasn't using
a gun, right so if he was, that would have
been a whole another set of political you know, maneuvers
on behalf of the leopard. He wasn't using gun, but
he is white, and I'm going to call him the
suspect of this case, the one was making the threats.
Jordan Neely was black. This case became about race, and
(23:46):
it's a shame because I look at the facts here, Andrew,
and I don't see anything about race.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
No, there's nothing to do with it.
Speaker 10 (23:53):
But of course we've we've developed the whole segment of
our society that's completely driven by this intersectionality that's fractured
American society into a thousand little pieces. And they care
about race, they care about gender, they care about restorative justice.
And we've taken these lunatics who are destroying America from
within and we put them in positions of unbelievable authority
(24:15):
and power, like being a prosecutor. We're doing it to ourselves.
Speaker 5 (24:21):
Andrew, your self defense attorney. So I would imagine you've
had defendants that have come to you that have been guilty.
Some come to you. You look at all the evidence,
you got to figure out the real deal probably is you,
and everyone's entitled to a defense. I want to play
for you, Daniel Penny talking to the body camera footage
of the police officers and get your assessment of his demeanor.
Speaker 15 (24:44):
Here a man came on stumbled on. He was appeared
to be on drugs. The doors closed, and he ripped
his jacket off and violent and threw it at the
people sitting down to my left. I was listening to
music at the time and he was yelling, so I
took my headphones out to hear what he was yelling.
And the three main threats that he repeated over and
(25:06):
over was I'm going to kill you, I'm prepared to
go to jail for life, and I'm willing to die.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
All right.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
It's a little different clip, it's not the bodycam footage,
but still you get an assessment of what he believes
he's for his life. Do you believe him when he's
telling this story.
Speaker 10 (25:24):
I do believe he's telling the truth. And by the way, legally,
he does not need to be correct. You don't need
to make perfect decisions in self defense. Your perceptions. Your
decisions have to be reasonable, meaning it's a reasonable response
to what you're observing.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
What was he observing?
Speaker 10 (25:38):
What he just described, And we know he's not making
it up because the other subway passengers gave very similar
testimony about what Neely was doing. He was threatening those
people with death and they believed him.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Okay, Cinchril Tonight airs every Monday through Friday night at
seven pm Eastern. Here in Real America's Voice, the jury
that Daniel Penny case will resume deliberating this morning. Stay
with Real America's Voice throughout the day for any updates
on a possible verdict. Oh and you may know that
Daniel Penny is a marine veteran. And speaking of marines,
check out this video of President Trump taking time out
to make a surprise visit to US marine stationed in France. Saturday,
(26:17):
of course, President Trump was in Paris to attend the
reopening ceremonies for the nearly destroyed cathedral of Notre Dame.
He also met with many foreign leaders, but still took
time out.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
To see our troops. It's a nice touch over there now.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Also on Saturday, we had a surprising result in a
big mayoral election down South. Republican Sid Edwards was totally
new to politics and never ran for anything before. Clearly
beat two term Democrat and convent Sharon Weston Broom and
he will be the new mayor of Baton Rouge.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Now how did he do it? Well? Watch this video
of one of his campaign.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Appearances in a mostly African American part of town, and
I think you'll figure it out.
Speaker 8 (26:53):
I'm newt of this.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
I'm an oball coach. Mada. Wait, can we not think about.
Speaker 16 (26:56):
Republican, a think about Democrat, and not think about black
and think about white?
Speaker 2 (27:03):
Because I'm telling you I am full of people.
Speaker 10 (27:07):
I'm more comfortable sitting right here with y'all than actually
being up there.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
But I can make a difference in the cities.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Anybody that knows me black.
Speaker 9 (27:17):
Or white, and not everybody knows me've God promise you this.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Everybody that knows and we be.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Black or white, Republican or Democrat.
Speaker 14 (27:24):
Are going to push that button till syd I'm gonna
tell you that.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Now.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
I'd love to get to know you because when I
tell you, it's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Can you imagine Mitt Romney making a speech like that.
Edwards is an example of a new kind of Republican
in the Trump era for sure. Now Edward's won fifty
four percent of the vote, and among other things, he
is promising a quote God driven administration.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
See how that works out? Okay?
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Coming up next on American Sunrise Early Edition, what can
we make of all the chaos in Syria. Is this
good news for something for the US and Israel to
worry about, or is it both. We're about to be
joined by the great Colonel rob Manis to get some answers,
and we'll also ask the colonel about this Pete Hegseth nomination.
Where are the battle lines now and what are his
chances to stay with.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Us when we write back? All right?
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Coming up on this half hour of American Sunrise early edition,
The Asad regime has fallen in Syria at last yay,
and Israel's destroying all of Syria's remaining chemical weapons and
air force. But the rebels who are trying to succeed
aside could really be worse. And President Trump has a
strong message for anyone who thinks the US should get
more deeply involved. President Trump takes on another hostile regime,
(28:57):
the news media. A news media anchor who thinks she's
art by laying down the facts about illegal immigration, big
pharma and how to unify America. But that's what Donald
Trump did, and it's called meet the press. That's what
he did on that show. But yesterday it was more
like beat the press. We still have no arrest in
the shooting death of the health insurance company CEO of Manhattan,
(29:17):
but cops have released another picture of the prime suspect.
We still don't know a name, we don't even know
if the shooter is still in the country, and we
don't really.
Speaker 9 (29:24):
Know the motive.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
We also still don't have any verdict in the trial
of subway hero Daniel Penny, but it does look like
the judge and the prosecutor in the case are trying
to railroad the jury into delivering a compromised verdict, and
that may have been the underhanded strategy all along. And
this has been a terrible, no good, very bad few
days for Barack Obama. His Iranian friends and their proxies
(29:51):
are falling. Trump is about to get back into office,
and now everyone is rightfully making fun of just how
pathetic he looked and sounded in a speech about America's
current politics. All right, let's get into it with my
next guest, Colonel Rob Maynus. He is an Air Force veteran,
(30:11):
a former US Senate candidate, and the host of the
Rob Mana Show.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
And Colonel, let's start by.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
Getting your reaction to President Trump's very emphatic statement about
the goings on in Syria. Now on Saturday, he posted
in part, Asad is gone. He has fled his country.
His protector Russia. Russia, Russia led by Vladimir Putin, was
not interested in protecting him any longer. There was no
reason for Russia to be there in the first place.
I agree now, Colonel. He goes on to say that
(30:37):
Russia and China can do some things to stop the
chaos in Syria, and earlier he insisted the US does
not need to get more involved.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Colonel, what is your take on this very fluid.
Speaker 6 (30:46):
Situation expected from president like Donald Trump? Agin, congratulations on
the show. It's great to d an honor to be
with you this morning. I appreciate the invitation. You know,
we elected President Donald Trump again because of exactly that attitude,
and it matches my own, I'm sure yours and many
(31:09):
many others that want us to return to a realist
foreign policy of peace through strength, so we're not fighting
all these endless wars. And you know, as a matter
of fact, I tweeted out, you know, it's the United
States role here. Maybe we can do some facilitating for
our allies in the region and do a support role,
(31:30):
but we don't need to be directly involved. As a
matter of fact, our troops that are in Syria right now,
and they're somewhere between nine hundred and twelve hundred Americans
in Eastern Syria need to be withdrawn. The President tried
to do that in his last administration, but General Mark
Milly disobeyed that order and didn't do it. So Donald
Trumps saying that and coming out very strong and by
(31:52):
the way, throwing out an olive branch to maybe even
involve Russia and China in peaceful future going forward in
that part of the world is not surprising either, because
as the man has said, he thinks the Ukraine War
should be ended today, not tomorrow, and stop the killing.
Speaker 9 (32:13):
And those of us that voted with him agree with him.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Yeah, I'm hoping for the best, that's for sure. And
I'm obviously very happy about the Israelis taking out pretty
much the entire Syrian infrastructure of war. This is really
reminding me of nineteen sixty seven when the Israelis took
out the entire Egyptian Air Force while I was still
sitting on the tarmac. Colonel, I want to stick with
defense because I know you've been supporting the nomination of
Pete Hegseth to be our next defense secretary. Do you
(32:38):
agree with me that his chances have really improved since
last week? And if so, why do you think he's
back on the upswing right now?
Speaker 6 (32:46):
Well, there's been a huge upswell of grassroots effort that
I'm aware of. I've seen something every day being sent
out by some pretty big names in the defense business
that are no longer active duty, but asking people to
sign up to send emails call their senators.
Speaker 9 (33:08):
And those kind of things.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
In one of my senators is actually the incoming chairman
of the Republican Senate Armed Services Committee, more than likely
Senator Roger Wicker. I've sent my own email to him
to support this nomination. The President has decided that he
wants Pete Hegseth to be his Secretary of Defense, and
Hecseth deserves a hearing, and I think that's.
Speaker 9 (33:30):
The path that we're on now.
Speaker 6 (33:31):
It looked like last week there might not be a hearing,
that he might actually be thinking about withdrawing, but doesn't
appear to be that way anymore. And I think by
and large it's because of this really upswing and swelling
of grassroots effort from veterans.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Yeah, it's called democracy, and it's amazing that we can
get a voice these days. Again, a lot due to
shows like this and social media.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
So I agree with you, colonel.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
I think just about all of the news media right now,
including the right wing channels, have fumbled the chance to
tell America about the great decision by federal Judge rit
O'Connor last week. Now he ruled that Boeing's have a
billion dollar seven thirty seven max settlement with the Justice Apartment.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Was Nolan Voyd.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Here's why, because of the DEI programs at the DOJ.
But you know, it's not just commercial aircraft that Boeing makes.
It also makes many of our combat jets like the
Fa eighteen Super Hornet you're looking at right now, are
about to look at now. This could be a ruling
that helps push back DEI in Washington, in corporate America
and the military.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
Can I get an amen from you.
Speaker 9 (34:33):
On this, colonel, Oh, you can get an aim in.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
Look, every jet that I flew was a Boeing product
over a twenty five year plus flying career in the
US Armed Forces, and fortunately I was part of those
flying those aircraft in peace and war before this DEI
thing happened, you know, but would you have hatches blowing
off of commercial aircraft that had come off the manufacturing
(34:58):
line within a few months and that kind of thing,
and then whistleblowers coming out later and say, hey, we
think this is because we're not hiring the best people.
And that's what destroys things, whether you're in the Armed
Forces and the Department of Defense or at Boeing Aircraft
is when you don't use meritocracy to hire the best
(35:20):
people in critical jobs and critical fields like manufacturing airplanes,
then you end up with dead passengers or dead crew
members unintentionally. And that's a problem in a manufacturing industry
like this, and we've got to get our hands around
it and get it fixed and get it eliminated. And
(35:41):
to go back to Higseth, I believe his book War
on Warriors was a driving factor and why mister Trump
picked him because he knows that DEI has got to
be completely eliminated from the Armed forces because it uses
Marxist theory to divide people by race and gender and
those kinds of things, and you can't have a combat
(36:02):
team win in a war if they're divided against each
other and don't trust each other with their lives. That's
the problem with DEI on the military side, and the
problem on the civilian side is exactly what Boeing's exhibiting.
They're putting their passengers and their air crew is in
extreme danger because they can't get it right on how
to turn a bolt and or a sign a fastener
(36:25):
on a hatch to keep it from blowing off, which
is a routine thing.
Speaker 9 (36:31):
It's got to be fixed immediately.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Yeah, And the irony is it was a form of
DEI that caused those seven thirty seven MAX crashes, not
the hatches, but the crashes several years ago. You know,
in these countries where pilot's jobs are given out via
nepotism and other forms like that that don't include meritocracy,
those pilots weren't properly trained to deal with the changes
in the.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Seven thirty seven MAX. So it's all over the place now.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Of course, shoving DEI programs into the military was the
brainchild of none other than Baca Barack Obama and his regime.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
But the days when.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
Barack Obama can do anything in politics, maybe in an
n colonel he gave a speech just the other day
accusing Republicans of law fair and cheating in elections that
even a lot of Democrats didn't follow for all obvious reasons.
They were like, wait a minute, that's what we do.
And his friends in Iran are losing their proxies in Syria.
Are you satisfied that we maybe turned the corner from
his dangerous influences.
Speaker 6 (37:24):
Well, we're standing at the corner and we can see
around it now, Jake, and that is good news. Isn't
it strange how people like Barack Obama accused people like
you and me of doing the things that he's been
doing in the freaking White House for the last what
fifteen years or so? Even when Donald Trump was in
the White House, this man was pulling puppet strings behind
(37:47):
the scenes and using the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act programs
to spy on a presidential candidate and campaign that get
Mike Flynn almost sent to prison and Troy his life.
It's unbelievable what this man will say and do, and
we just have to continue to put the spotlight on him.
(38:09):
And I'm glad you brought up his Iranian proxies because
he is directly responsible for the debts of American men
and women in uniform. We just lost three National guardsmen
and the Army guardsmen from Georgia this past spring, and
those were Iranian proxies that attacked that base and killed
those young men and women. And it's a disaster to
(38:32):
allow this man to continue to meddle in the internal
politics and the foreign policies of the United States of America.
I am so glad that mister Trump has been re
elected and his team is going to come in and
I think on day one you are going to see
some massive changes that will forever put Barack Obama and
his ilk back in the box where they will stay.
(38:53):
And hopefully some of these people are going to go
to prison after they're tried fairly in a court of law,
instead of not getting due process like what they've done
to the folks on our side, including our January sixth prisoners.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Well, I just hope that we can one day get
an answer as to why Barack Obama, who did win
two presidential elections, he expended all of his political capital
in both of those elections on creating some kind of
relationship with Iran first and then bolstering it and getting
that nuclear deal in his second term, and I think
a lot of Democrats who very much love him and
(39:27):
really support him have also been scratching their heads about that.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Now.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Of course, they've done it quietly, while people like you
and me have shouted about it for nine ten years.
In my case it's been fifteen years, because you remember
there was an uprising in Iran in two thousand and
nine that he completely ignored one day.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
I'd like to know the reason for that.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
But lastly, Colonel, I know Daniel Penny is a Marine vet,
not an Air Force vet. But what's your take on
this trial and the fact that we've talked about Penny
as a.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Kind of being like a regular New Yorker. We're all
nervous sometimes in the subway and things like that.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
But I'm also wondering there's not been a lot of
talk about Daniel Penny being a veteran and the way,
and it seems to me yet another example of how
veterans are treated poorly. And then in blue cities, a
lot of people look at veterans as some kind of
like killing machine, like they've seen too many Rambo, the
original Rambo, and they see them as being more of
a threat I wonder if you see this as also
(40:18):
a smear on all veterans.
Speaker 6 (40:21):
It is a smear on veterans. And thank god for
a Marine Corps veteran, Dan Penny for being there, because
somebody probably would have gotten killed, and it probably would
have been a young black woman with kids or somebody
like that that would have.
Speaker 9 (40:35):
Gotten killed on that subway. Jacob.
Speaker 6 (40:37):
It's a tragedy in that, but it's also a highlight
on the facts. And here's the tragedy and the facts
all rolled into one. The tragedy in facts of this
whole thing is that it really puts on display this
dual track justice system that we have in this country.
And I don't know what Daniel Penny's or party affiliation is,
(40:59):
but you know when Donald Trump said to the American people, Hey,
they may be coming after me now, but they're really
coming after you.
Speaker 9 (41:08):
That's what he meant.
Speaker 6 (41:09):
This is the manifestation of that reality right here and
has nothing to do with politics as much as it
has to do with the division in our society that
people like Barack Obama and Joe Biden and their ilk
have created over the last fifteen to twenty years. And
it's going to be a disaster for the people of
(41:30):
New York City or anybody that rides that subway or
pup walks the streets or public transportation if this man
is not fully acquitted and these charges expunged from his record.
And that's what this judge ought to do. But unfortunately
we have this dual track judicial system now that results
(41:52):
in people like Alvin Bragg and this judge who are
actually now trying to bully a jury into doing a
conviction of a lesser charge, which is unbelievable. I've listened
to legal pundits with like Jonathan Turtley speak all for
the last few days, all weekend about this, and they
are stunned that this judge is allowing this to happen,
(42:13):
because it's just not done in this country.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
Well, very well, said Colonel rob Mannis. Thank you so
much for joining us. Really an honor to have you
on one of my first programs.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
Just ahead, President Trump's Meet the Press appearance was yet
another example of mainstream media mainstream media anchor talking and
taking a confrontational approach without the knowledge to back it up.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
We'll talk about it with the guy who used to
hear on Meet the Press, our own David Rodie. He
joins us next, Welcome back to.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
American Sunrise Earlier. I'm Jake Novak, and I'm grateful you're
here with us. This is the time in early edition
when we get a visit from the star of the
Big Show, David Brody from American Sunrise. And David, I
know you saw President Trump's appearance on Meet the Press yesterday,
and before we talk about what he said, I have
to say that I'm just so tired. I'm really tired
of the regime media interviewing him the same way every time, confrontational,
(43:23):
know it all, it's also played out.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
I'm sure you're a sick of it like I am.
Speaker 16 (43:28):
Well, there's no doubt about it. I'll be honest with you.
I thought, actually a Kristen Welker. I'm not going to
say did a great job or a good job, but
I did think she was less antagonistic than I was expecting.
I mean, she did go from her notes, which is
to your point. I agree with that, and I always
love the line by her where she says We're gonna
get to that in a second.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
No, you're not.
Speaker 16 (43:47):
You're never getting to that in a second, and that's
why Donald Trump brings it up right there, for example,
the Hunter Biden pardon. And so when he brought up
the Hunter Biden pardon, which she said she was going
to get to in a second, look, she never brought
it up again. The point is is that this is
what they do. And by the way, thirty eight minutes
of the quote full interview aired on.
Speaker 2 (44:06):
Meet the Press. No it didn't. It wasn't the full
interview at all.
Speaker 16 (44:08):
They met for an hour and a half, so you really,
as a news consumer have to sift through the entire
interview rather than what Meet the pre excuse me, Meet
the Press feeds you.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
You know, there were a couple of moments though, where
I think she did commit some journalistic malpractice.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
This was an interesting point if.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
You remember when she was asking about the vaccines, she
inserted the word before Trump even had a chance to
speak the word autism because she had, you know, you know,
she had in her notes all those studies that show
there's no definitive link between vaccines and austin and so
she couldn't even wait for him to say it.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
She and for all we know, he wouldn't have said anything.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
He would have said something like I often say, I
remember the government jingle from nineteen ninety five eleven shots
by two mom, and now it's more like thirty or forty.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
And I have no idea whether that squid or bad.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
I am humble enough to admit that, but I would
like to ask a question, why was it okay to
have just eleven in nineteen ninety five and we need
like triple that now? And I think that's a fair
question to ask. I'm not bringing up autism or anything else.
And she did that, David, and it's just how, I mean,
how does someone think that that's journalism. It's it's it's
as if she's saying, oh, I'm gonna push this down
your throat, and it's.
Speaker 2 (45:13):
Just it's bad.
Speaker 16 (45:14):
It's bad TV, well, no doubt about it. And basically
her question could have been, so, let me just get
the stray. You're an anti vaxxer and you believe vaccine
vaccine or autism is caused by vaccines.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
And all he's saying simply is, hey, you know, what
do you mind if we get some more information on this?
Speaker 16 (45:29):
Because these stats are startling, to say the least. And
so that's the type of common sense that he President
elect Trump is preaching to the American people and Kristin
Welker is preaching to the elites. And there is the schism,
if you will.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Yeah, and you know, if she were a doctor, maybe,
But like that is the biggest problem in every industry,
but especially the news media. There's nothing worse than someone
who isn't smart who thinks they are. And also I
just got that sown from her.
Speaker 16 (45:57):
Yeah. And also I love how they just rely on
the line to say research says, we can we tell
a little deeper as to what your research says exactly,
and what are the exact studies that you're talking about,
and what were the sample side, I mean, just go
on and on.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
So this idea that it's just the blanket.
Speaker 16 (46:12):
Well, local election officials say, well, research says well, scientist
says you know, come on, I mean, we need more
intellectually curious minds out there.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
We need people that are gonna not.
Speaker 16 (46:22):
Just push back just to push back, but to actually
research and say I'm not buying into the psyops that
are out there.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
Left and right.
Speaker 16 (46:29):
Actually now I think about it mostly left.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
Jake, thanks a lot, David, Well, listen you the Big
Show is coming up. I know you're going to get
into this. Not only Meet the Press Siri and a
bunch of other issues. Everyone, please stick around for American
Sunrise Regular Edition, the big show that's coming up in
just a few moments. Thank you for joining me on
American Sunrise Early Edition on this Monday.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
Have a great lead
