Speaker 1 (00:03):
The head on an American Sunrise Early edition. The Supreme Court
finally clears the way for the widespread Executive brand's firings
that any judge who could read the Constitution should have
allowed right away. But don't worry, obstructionists will keep suing
President Trump until the cows come home. A new report
says former CIA director John Brennan and former FBI Director

(00:26):
James Comy are now both the subjects of FBI criminal probes.
That says Russiagate written all over it, no more, mister Nisruski.
President Trump airs his frustrations with Russian President Vladimir Putin
and lets another obscenity fly. When doing so, California Governor

(00:47):
Gavin Newsom flip flops again on allowing boys to play
in girls' sports, as the Golden State openly refuses to
impose the federal bands on trans women playing in bart
cue up another round for the courts, folks, And a
rule that stopped churches and other houses of worship from

(01:08):
officially endorsing candidates for decades has now been lifted. Will
this change the way campaigning is done in America? American
Sunrise Early Edition begins.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Now Welcome to American Sunrise Early Edition, the show where faith,
freedom and the values that built this nation takes centers.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
To your good, thieves and baddies. That's how we're gonna
judge you.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Join host Jake Novak as he breaks down the stories
that matter.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
He will be letting the public know regularly what we
have found.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
American Sunrise Early Edition with your host Jake Novak starts.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Now, welcome to this Wednesday here an American Sunrise Early Edition.
I'm Jake Novak. Another busy twelve hours or so seen
in news, just very very very busy, and so we'll
try to get to all of it for you. Joining
me to help me do that. As Daily Signal Politics

(02:08):
editor Bradley Devlin, Bradley, I want to start out with
the Supreme Court situation, because we had almost the unanimous
decision by the courts to let this process go forward.
We're still going to have to have some cases, individual
cases heard on certain other arguments. But the whole idea
that you could stop President Trump and his administration from
forcing their own executive branch departments to prepare lists and

(02:31):
prepare reorganization plans, that's been knocked down, and to me,
this is just. I mean, a fifth grader could tell
you that this is President Trump's very clear constitutional authority.
I mean, I'm glad that this decision was made, Bradley,
but it's almost a sad commentary that we have to
go through this whole process and we're not even finished yet.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Bradley, Well, I'm not necessarily surprised that we have to
go through this whole process, because if you are going
to be naming powers to radically shrink or expand the
size of government, you would assume that at least one
other branch would have to be involved, and of course
the appropriate branch in this case is Congress. And that's

(03:12):
what the court basically said, is that it's fine to
do these reductions in force applicable to federal law. Even
Sodo Mayor wrote a brief one paragraph opinion saying as much.
And that's what the Trump administration was trying to do
with this Office of Personal Management and Office of Management
and budget memorandums and some of these other reductions in force. Right,

(03:34):
if a democratic president were to come in and say
that they're going to radically trick the size of government,
that would never happen. But to radically expand the size
of government. I think a lot of folks on the
right would be saying that there is some sort of
authority here for Congress and the courts to weigh in.
And that's exactly we've got all three branches acting now

(03:55):
because of the friction between the lower district courts in particular,
that want to assume a more legislative role and the
Supreme Court saying, no, that's not our job here. Our
job here is to make sure that the laws followed
the letter. And it looks like the Trump administration is
going to prevail on this argument, and therefore we ought

(04:17):
to let the Trump administration go forward with one of
the major parts of the Trump mandate, which is right
sizing the federal government.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah. I think about Gauls, the viewers and most Americans
the most is how victimized these federal workers want everyone
else to feel about them. Listen, people get laid off
and fired in the private sector all the time. It
doesn't become a Supreme Court case, it doesn't become literally
a federal case. This is the way real life is
for most of us. We understand the government workers go

(04:49):
through a slightly different process, but they're asking us to
shed tremendous tears for them, and they hold and they
get to throw up all these hurdles before they're even
held accountable in any way. And really what people need
to understand is we the people feel that government workers
should be held to a higher standard, not a lower standard.
They're demanding to be held to a much lower standard

(05:09):
than everyone else. It's the other way around that. That
of course also goes for elected officials, speaking of people
expecting to be held to much lower standards and to
get away with stuff. We have this report now, a
developing story that there is an FBI criminal probe into
former CIA director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey.
Now this certainly is intriguing. It looks like this is

(05:32):
connected to the whole Russia Gate hoax, which was more
than just a hoax. Hoax is when I hear that
that sounds like something someone posts on social media. The
Russia Gate accusations was basically something that almost the entire
infrastructure of a lot of the federal government was used
to skew and to change the rules. So this investigation
could go on and hamper the first Trump administration. But

(05:55):
Bradley I gotta ask you, do you think anyone's really
going to be called into a major question over Do
you think that Brennan and Comy are quote in trouble?
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
I would say Comy is in more trouble than Brennan
because Comy has been such a central figure and keeps
throwing himself right onto right into the pot, right onto
the burner with this eighty six forty seven stuff. I mean,
there is a clear pattern of malice for the president,

(06:26):
of ill intention for the president, of even making threats
potentially towards the president. If there's any other way to
interpret eighty six forty seven. Let me know, Let's look
at some of Comy's lies here. So first off, he
lies about the type of surveillance that the FBI and
federal law enforcement was undertaking in the Trump campaign. He

(06:47):
lies about the role of the Fies of Courts. He
lies about how the Fies of Courts came to its determination.
He lies about the origins of the Steele dossier. He
lies about the comp evidence that people ought to have
in this Deele dossier. I mean, just every step of
the chain was another lie, and those lies were often

(07:08):
made in public and they were often made in front
of Congress, And that means that James Comy is exposed
to a lot more liability than maybe some other folks
that we would consider deeply involved in the Russiagate investigation,
and we'd like to see held accountable for this. So
will it ultimately end up being a slap on the wrist?

(07:30):
Probably probably to be quite frank and to leave it
on a sour note. But at the same time, you know,
our system doesn't only have this type of accountability. It
has electoral accountability. And I think the American people have
justly smacked these folks right in the face by electing
Donald Trump, not once but twice now, and that I

(07:53):
think is more accountability than anyone ever thought we would
get for for these types of crimes. Because once they
won in twenty twenty, some people thought, oh my goodness,
this is it. You know, President Donald Trump's done. They've
been validated in this entire strategy of a six year
takedown of one man, and now they're going to try

(08:15):
to imprison him for life. Well, they tried to do
that his fundraising.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
What up?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
They tried to kill him his fundraising?

Speaker 1 (08:20):
What up?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
They tried to prevent him from retaking the office, and
he won with a larger man date than anyone would
have anticipated in twenty twenty four. And now he's back
president of the United States.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Yeah, speaking of accountability, President Trump seems to be getting
ready to really hold Russian President Vladimir Putin to a
more accountable and he's letting his frustrations about him come
out more openly. Listen to this.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
We get a lot of vote drawn at us by
booting for you want another truth. He's very nice all
the time, but it turns out to be meaningless.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Now. In all fairness, Bradley, if Joe Biden had used
a similar comment about Vladimir Putin, we would be raking
him over the coals for it. But you know, I
got to say President Trump can at least say, unlike
Joe Biden, that he gave Vladimir Putin every opportunity to
try to make a better deal for himself in Ukraine,
to try to make a better situation between the United
States and Russia, and he clearly isn't doing it. I mean,

(09:24):
he's been ramping up his attacks on Ukraine lately. What's
next here? Do you think?

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Well, I think the Trump administration is going to have
to balance something inside of their own camp, which is
the materil and resources necessary to create the leverage for
a deal in Russia and Ukraine versus the type of
pivot that they want to see, the pivot to Asia.
Some of those material we've seen move to the Middle

(09:53):
East in recent weeks because of the brief war that
Israel and the United States war question mark at Israel
and the United States had against Iran just two weeks ago,
and so that's going to be something that they're balancing internally.
I think the Trump administration was right to pause some
of the aid to Ukraine. At least some of that

(10:14):
defensive aid has restarted, and Trump is in a difficult
situation because with the incompetence of the Biden administration, Trump
inherited a situation where both sides felt wrongfully emboldened and
as the client state of the United States, literally the
United States props up the entire Ukraine government with US

(10:37):
tax payer dollars that they had to get Ukraine under control,
and that means that they're going to have to show
that this spagot can turn on and off well in
the process. That also means that Russia is going to
feel emboldened to continue to perpetuate this war because the
United States is going to be, you know, is threatening
to leave Ukraine and won't be the power broker that

(10:59):
they wanted to be in the settling of this conflict
under the Trump administration. And now we're seeing the inverse
of that coin. And you know, President Trump kind of
tries to every once in a while, he's doing both
at the same time, and he switches between anger at
Ukraine and anger at Russia. He's trying to build a
leverage and saying, you know that we get a lot
of bs from these guys, We're going to provide some

(11:21):
things to make sure that Ukraine holds the line because
we're not just going to let them have a cake
walk through here. We don't want a continued war, continued
advancing territorial Russia trench warfare that's just going to kill thousands,
hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of more people before
this whole thing is said and done. We need to

(11:41):
create the leverage to bring folks to the table and
get a deal. And that's where things get a little
bit more difficult, because while you're looking for that deal,
sometimes people will feel emboldened to perpetuate or to slate.
We saw that with Ukraine's operations Spiderweb recently, that drone

(12:04):
operation that Ukraine had had done on the Russians without
really our knowledge, and that I think was a major
sign to the United States that our client state wasn't
necessarily taking our messages seriously enough. And so he's going
to be talking tough on Putin, He's going to be
talking tough on Vladimir Zelenski. I think everyone agrees that

(12:27):
the faster this thing can be wrapped up, the better,
because the human carnage is just unbelievable at this point.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah, it's a meat grinder, and I just don't see
an end in sight until somebody makes a radical, radical
change of mind. It really has to be Putin. I
just think that he knows that he can keep this
war going, and it's a sad situation. Bradley Devlin, thank
you so much for joining us. Have a great rest
of your week. Thanks Jake. Coming up, remember when I

(12:54):
said the obstructionists will never stop suing President Trump. I
said that a few minutes ago. Well, now the Plan
Parenthood forces are at the bar and they immediately got
what they wanted from a lower court. They're good judge shoppers,
I'll explain. And who is this craze protester yelling and
insulting an NYPD cop to his face? Well, she works

(13:14):
for New York maryl candidates are on Mom Donnie of course,
or at least she did that story and more. When
American Sunrise Early Edition continues, Welcome back to American Sunrise

(13:42):
Early Edition live. Look at the White House again. No
breeze in DC to speak of. Those flags are large.
They need a little bit of a bigger breeze to
start fluttering in the wind. But nothing another hot and
humid day, I assume in Washington, d C. Special Welcome
to all of you who are up and already chatting
in the ghetter and rumble chats. Thank you so much
for that. Here's a question. Who is this lovely shouting

(14:02):
person watched this.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Up? The pegs and the Mohammedsis and the las pigs
who can call themselves by the name of his slab.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
That name what you're looking at as an incident that
took place in February in New York City when there
was an anti Israel, anti Semitic protest on the streets
of New York and that one protester is yelling at
a Muslim NYPD officer who just has to stand there
and take it. Imagine he's that is a very professional
and restrained man. It turns out that woman shouting is

(14:53):
an intern. At the time, she was an intern working
for Zora Mamdani's State Assembly office. She's the one who's
cursing Muslim members of the NYPD for having the audacity
to join the force. This is what we get are
gonna get from Zora Mamdani if he is elected. This
is one of his staffers. Again, not right now with
his staff, but I'm sure she'll apply if he wins

(15:15):
the mayoral election. This comes as more and more social
media posts and other statements by mom Donni himself are
coming to light. I don't know why these didn't come
to light during the primary. Andrew Como's campaign really should
be asking itself whether they should get all their money
back from the political consultants. A simple sweep of his
social media accounts found a lot of stuff, including him
standing up for the Boston bombers. He was very concerned

(15:37):
that maybe they didn't get all their rights read to them. Really,
I'm pretty sure they were. That was a very very
carefully constructed investigation and arrests, and he also had many
clear calls to defund literally defund the police. Just incredible.
All right. You have to hand it to the left.
They sure know how to judge shop. Planned parenthood went

(15:58):
straight for the Federal dist Court judge in Dira Talwani
yesterday in hopes of blocking the Trump administration's moved to
halt medicaid funding for abortions, and of course they got
another one of those quick nationwide injunctions. We all thought
the Supreme Court made clear district courts can't make Well,
they're doing it anyway. This will probably go through the
system for months. Look, this is an important case. I

(16:21):
think it should be heard by the Supreme Court. I
get it. But these district courts they know which judges
will give them a quick injunction and which ones won't,
and they go right to them. It isn't just about
planned parenthood, It's about a lot of them. And I
promise you most of the district court judges will not
adhere to the Supreme Court decision. This is a revolution.
They talk about constitutional crises between the President and Supreme Court.

(16:44):
Forget about that, you have a constitutional crisis between the
Supreme Court and their own lower federal courts. Remember John Roberts'
official title is not Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
He is the Chief Justice of the United States technically
and really legally, he's the boss of all the fileral judges.
And they're not listening to him. As simple as that, okay.

Coming up a big change of the rules for religious
groups and politics in America. I'll have the story and
more when American Sunrise Early Edition comes right back. That's

(19:00):
the Statue of Liberty selfie, A live shot from the
torch looking down at the rest of the Statue of
Liberty and Liberty Island that I hope you don't have
a fear of heights, because that shot would definitely trigger
you if you do. But it's a beautiful and really
interesting shot. I encourage you despite all of our problems
here in New York City. To come visit. You don't

(19:21):
even have to go necessarily and wait on the long
line to get into the Statue of Liberty. You can
go buy for free on the Staten Island ferry and
really take it in. It's really something to see. Don't
miss it. Let's take a look at where the markets
will begin, not far from where the Statue of Liberty is.
Wall Street's pretty close to there, and we all have
green arrows. Yesterday we had a really flat day on
the markets. Of course, Monday was a sell off day.

(19:43):
Investors are really looking for some direction right now. They
don't really know what to do. It's a big water
treading going on on the markets. But sometimes you can
have a little bit of a melt up in those
situations where the stocks go up just a little bit.
Every day. You see gold is flat, thirty three hundred
dollars per ounce, still staying oh, creeping up, getting back
closer to seventy bucks a barrel again. But gas prices

(20:04):
are still way down from where they were last year. Now,
let's look at bitcoin, and I already know we're still
in that window, but look at that one hundred and
nine thousand. So we're getting to the highest highest end
of that one oh four to one ten window we've
been in for weeks. Okay. A big part of the
tariff policy for the Trump team is not only just
about economics. It's also about national security. This administration wants

(20:26):
to keep certain essential items made here in the United States.
You already know about steel, and of course that makes sense.
You want steel, which we need for our battleships, our
aircraft carriers, our jets. You want that made here in
the United States that we're not relying on a foreign supplier,
even if they are an ally at the moment. But
this now extends to pharmaceuticals and President Trump yesterday spoke

(20:46):
about potentially putting a two hundred percent tariff on foreign
made prescription drugs. Now, if you think that made big
pharmer shares crash yesterday, you'd be totally wrong. Pfizer, for example,
was up almost two percent yes today. Why is this
because the big American companies, the big companies that have
this kind of money, they can afford, even though it'll

(21:06):
be expensive for them, they can afford to move all
of their manufacturing or their manufacturing of important drugs into
the United States completely, those smaller competitors of theirs not
so much, and of course this ends up becoming a
big win for big pharma in a way. However, it
does make sense if we have another pandemic, whether it's
real or imagined, or some other major problems with drugs

(21:27):
that we always need, whether there's a pandemic or not,
you really want to have to rely on a foreign supplier.
They could easily easily bring the American public to their
needes if some of the drugs that we rely on
are held away from us. Of course, the other idea
is to maybe get more healthy in the first place,
so we don't need so many prescription drugs, but that's
another discussion for now. President Trump is trying to make

(21:48):
it clear he considers pharma to be a national security issue,
and it's hard to argue with that as things stand now.
Maybe we'll get healthier in the future, but as things
stand now, he's got a point after just eighteen months,
speaking of not being healthy. Kurt Tanner Kirk Tanner is
currently the CEO of Wendy's. Now he's going to go
from Burger's to Chocolate. He has now just been hired

(22:10):
as the new CEO of Hershey's. He was only at
Wendy's for eighteen months. But one of the things that
one of the things that Tanner did when he was
there is he loved tie ins with other companies. He
loved those little movie giveaways in the kids meals, he
loves He actually had a partnership with the Girl Scouts
for a Thin Mint Frosty over at wendy So I
expect him to do stuff like this at Hershey as well.

(22:32):
But remember, as I told you a few months ago,
and as I often like to write about, just remember
that Hershey at the end of the day, Hershey's is
controlled by the Hershey's School, that special school that was
originally set up for orphans but now is open to
a lot of other children. It's an excellent boarding school
where the kids work on the farm and also work
in the school. At the end of the day, it
controls that company, which is why no other chocolate company

(22:54):
has been able to buy Hershe's because the school knows
that if another company takes over, the school will lose
its autonomy. So that's what Kirk Tanner is going to
be dealing with. Hopefully he'll make nice peace with that school.
It's a really truly great American story. Maybe one day
we'll talk a little bit more about it. Now, the
IRS is making an interesting announcement. A new federal court

(23:14):
filing that the IRS put together yesterday says that churches
can now. Churches and other houses of worship can now
publicly endorse political candidates to the rest of their congregations
without risking the loss of their tax exempt status. Now.
Churches and the National Religious Broadcasters Group sued the IRS
last year, saying that the so called Johnson Amendment violated

(23:38):
their First Amendment rights. Everyone else in America had the
right to endorse someone. We're not talking out here about electioneering,
putting up campaign posters, spending money campaign We're just talking
about leaders in a house of worship, or people on
a Christian broadcast or another religious broadcast, just saying that
they endorse a candidate. Everyone else is allowed to do
what they weren't. The IRS has decided to lift that

(24:00):
seventy year old rule, and now you can have endorsements again.
I don't think we're going to see campaign rallies and
churches and synagogues. I certainly hope not, but The fact
that a pastor or a rabbi couldn't endorse someone seemed
a little bit extensive. Although I can understand why they
wouldn't want to do it, I don't know if I
would want to go to a synague where I had
a leader who was always telling me who to vote for.

(24:22):
But anyway, that's the new rule. They will not lose
their tax exempt status if that happens. Okay, ladies and gentlemen,
start your engines. This is Moving America sponsored by Artillery
Tea Company artillerytcode dot com. Use promo code America's T

(24:46):
for ten percent off your first order. Artillery T is
all natural, it's whole leaf, the tea bags are chemical free,
and each tea bag can be used twice. Artillery T
Company is family and veteran known and operated, and a
portion of your purchase goes to help veteran first responder charities.
ARTILLERYT code dot com promo code America's T for Actually,

(25:06):
the code is now rab rav. They've changed the promo
code rab for ten percent off your first quarter. All right,
we got to get that clear rab riv is the
promo code. Gonna get that cleared up, all right? Ford
is looking to stay hot, so it's offering zero down payment,
zero percent interest for forty eight months, and zero payments

(25:28):
for ninety days on most of their forward and link
in vehicles. Now, this is after Ford offered employee pricing
to everyone for a lot of this year. That's what
they put in place to try to reduce any tariff
extra costs. And Ford sales really soored up fourteen point
two percent for that second quarter of the year, the
April through June quarter. So now they're trying to keep
it going. They're not gonna do the employee pricing anymore,

(25:50):
but they're going to offer this triple zero offer. And
I think this is going to be very, very popular.
You know, interest rates are not going down as much
as people want, so that zero percent for forty eight
months that looks good. No payments for ninety days is
really really nice as well. So and the zero down
you can drive away. I'm sure there's something you got
to put down, maybe five bucks or something, but anyway,
that's not bad. And I think this is going to

(26:12):
help Ford sales, especially in the summer, as we're in
the middle of the summer right now, so we'll see
how this goes for it, and we'll see it more
importantly if GM and some of the other companies follow suit.
I'll be really interested to see if that happens. Now,
while Ford is surging, Porsche is slumping. Its sales fell
in the first half of the year, and the company
is blaming the Chinese market for all this. Sales are

(26:36):
down in China for Porsche twenty eight percent in that
country alone. Now, Porsche said something which I think a
lot of you have also noticed. The luxury car space,
especially for luxury sports cars, is a ton more crowded
than it was just twenty and thirty years ago. There
are a lot of other choices these days, and Porscha,
which used to be the signature German sports car model,

(26:59):
there's just so many other competitors out there, and I've
always been wondering. I've been really wondering how anyone can
really get the same market share. Porsche is trying to
figure this one out. Don't know why Chinese buyers suddenly
have cooled on Porsche, but that's what's happened for them,
and they're trying to figure that out. Now Here in
the United States, Honda was going to make it was
going to make a larger sized EV SUV, a really

(27:21):
big EV, but it was electric powered and they were
going to sell it exclusively here in America. Now it's
not going to sell it anywhere because it's not going
to make it at all. It's also cutting Honda is
how much it's going to spend on EV's overall for
the next two years. I wonder if that includes commercials.
Please God say yes. I am so sick of all
these paths themselves. On the back electric car commercials. It's

(27:43):
not a big or new thing anymore. Again, this is
for two reasons. The American buyer is just not as
interested in EV's as they were a year or two ago.
They're still buying them, but not at a huge but
that the rate is not growing very much. And of
course the tax break for buying an EV has been rescinded.
You're gonna see a lot of companies following what Honda's
doing here and cutting back on their EV spending. All

(28:04):
right again, but please God, stop all the EV commercials.
I'm just so sick of them. Now, speaking of God,
God must have had something to do with what you're
about to see. Look at how this Tesla model it's
a model y was absolutely impaled by a guard rail
on I five on the five and southern California just
a few days ago. Now look at that picture, and

(28:25):
let me tell you something that's even more surprising. No
one was seriously injured in this accident. Now, Chips, the
California Highway Patrol says this about this accident. They're basically
blaming the driver. They said, quote, driving a vehicle requires
one hundred percent attention to the road. You think avoid distractions.
I guess they're gonna say this guy was either on
his cell phone or something. Who knows. But again, luckily

(28:47):
this thing went right through the middle of the car.
No one was sitting in the back. No one was
seriously injured. I mean, the driver got a few scratches,
apparently nothing serious. Thank goodness. Okay, coming up, good luck
trying to cut bloated school administrative budgets in America. You
know when you do that, anytime you try it, they
say the kids are gonna starve. But you're about to
hear from one leader who figured out how to beat

(29:08):
that old strategy. And speaking of schools, what is Gavin
Newsom doing now to protect girls on sports teams in California.
If you're gainsting, the answer is nothing. You're right, but
it's worse than that. American Sunrise early edition will be
right back. It's Wednesday, July ninth. Here this morning's top stories.

(29:46):
The Supreme Court finally clears the way for the widespread
executive branch firings that any judge who can read the
Constitution should have allowed right away. But don't worry, obstructionists
will keep suing President Trump until the cows come home.
A new report says former CIA director John Brennan and
former FBI Director James Comy are now both the subjects

(30:09):
of FBI criminal probes. This has Russia Gate written all
over it. But will they really be punished? No more,
mister nis Ruski. President Trump airs his frustrations with Russian
President Vladimir Putin, and he lets another obscendity fly when
he does so, maybe things will change over there. And
remember when Gavin Newsom told our Charlie Kirk that he

(30:30):
was against boys competing in girls sports. Now he's going
the other way again, insisting on defying the federal ban
on trans athletes in girl sports in California. The American
Sunrise Early Edition continues. Now, welcome back to American Sunrise

(30:51):
Early Edition. I'm Jake Novak. It has been a very
very busy twelve, maybe sixteen hours of news. Also want
to let you know that, of course, the administration moved
to block Chinese nationals from buying farmland and trying to
buy back the land they already own. That's another story.
Of course, the continued frustration over the Jeffrey Epstein situation
over at the Justice Department, President Trump asking why people

(31:13):
are still concerned about it and still talking about it.
Of course so many of us are. Those are two
stories that are also in the hopper today. All those
stories I just mentioned, But now I want to spend
time on something that will absolutely I think, have an
effect on our political discourse in this country and maybe
hopefully change it for many years to come. Because joining
me right now is Oklahoma School's chief Ryan Walters. Now

(31:36):
I talked about this yesterday on the program, but for
those who missed it, Ryan made an interesting announcement yesterday
about how he wants to make school lunches completely free
for the people of Oklahoma. I'm going to get into
what I think is really very very unique about this
in the strategy. First, but first, Ryan, welcome to the show,
and tell us a little bit about this decision of

(31:56):
yours and this policy that you're going to enact.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
Yes, sir, well, first of all, you know, we start
looking at school lunches. I've talked to parents all over
the state and they talk about getting these bills on
their school lunches. You know, my first reaction was, we.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Already paid for them.

Speaker 6 (32:10):
You pay local taxes that go to our school We
pay our schools billions of dollars. Federal taxes go to
school lunch programs as well. So that why is the
district turning around and sending you a bill? I mean, frankly,
you've already been charged for these school lunches as a
tax payer twice. So where is this coming? I mean,
this is this is a predatory practice to say, oh,

(32:31):
what you always for the lunch? It's like, well, where
did the thirteen thousand dollars per child that we give
the district go? Where did the thirteen billion dollars that
go into the public schools go that you can't afford
a lunch? And so we come in here and go guys, districts,
We looked at your administrative growth. They've grown administrative costs
fourteen percent in just the last three years. We see
six hundred and sixty million dollars just towards superintendents and

(32:54):
principal salaries alone. And we're going, okay, we're talking about
just a few million dollars here to help cover student lunches.
We're selling districts. You're going to prioritize your budgets. Cut
administrative cost cut some of these left wing bureaucrat salaries,
fire them, and use the money to make sure that
the kids are being fed at school. We think it's
a very common sense approach here to what parents are

(33:16):
asking for.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Now. Again, I'm not going to try to put worries
in your mouth, but when I saw your announcement on Tuesday,
the first thing that came to my mind is this
is a brilliant end run around what has been used
for probably fifty years, but at least forty years as
a way to protect the administrative bloat that you're talking about.

Speaker 5 (33:37):
It.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
You just said the administrative costs and the school systems
are growing. That's true all over the country pretty much.
But Ryan, if you had said on Tuesday or Monday
or any other day that you want those administrative budgets
costs cut. One of the first things that would have
been said in response to you is, well, that's going
to make the children starve. We're going to have to
cut the school lunch money. You know that they would

(33:57):
immediately use the children as human Now. I don't know
if this was your intention. I think it might have been,
and if it was, it was brilliant. You didn't end
run around them. Instead of saying we want you to
cut your administrative budgets first, you said we want to
make school lunches already that the American people and the
Oklahoma and people have paid for free, no extra charges,
and we want you to take it out of this

(34:18):
bloated administrative budget. You did an end run around them,
and anyone who's watching, if you're a want to be
political consultant or if you're a politician, this is the
way to do it. If you want to cut unnecessary spending.
Remember they're going to use children and other sympathetic characters
as human shields for the and to try to protect
themselves from those cuts. Go to that first, say that's

(34:40):
who you want to protec because we all want to
protect them and take that away from them. I don't
know if you realize you're doing that. I kind of
think you did because you're a smart guy. But this
is the way to do it, isn't it. Don't let
them use the children as human shields when you want
to just cut administrative costs and that bloat.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
Right, that's right. And one of the things we've got
to push back on is there is this narrative. You
got these woke administrators that partner up with left wing
teachers unions, and they figured it out. All we've got
to do is constantly ask for more money and say,
you know, kids won't have money to eat, or you
know schools won't open, or oh my goodness, the world
is falling if you don't give us hundreds of millions
and more dollars. Right, The problem in education is not

(35:18):
there's not enough money in our schools. There's plenty of
money in our schools. The problem is the money isn't
being allocated appropriately. So what we've come in and said is, listen, hey,
the money's there. You guys have a record amount of money, okay,
both state wise and federally, a record amount that has
been injected to the schools. So why is it that
you all cannot prioritize billions and billions of dollars to

(35:42):
pay for kids lunches? And by the way, we want
healthy lunches. That's also part of our mandate. They will
be healthy, nutritious lunches. We don't want all these synthetic
food Dyes, we're going to make sure that we're making
Oklahoma healthy again as well, So we're not doing all
that nonsense either. But why can't you prioritize kids? You
continue to prioritize your bureaucrap buddies over the kids. And

(36:02):
as your viewers know, I mean my wife and I
when we sit down on budget, what do we do?
You look at what your priorities are. Well, of the
top things is groceries, but kids. Sure the kids are
taking care of right, you make sure that you budget
for that. We have administrators that say, well, I wanted
to hire you know, one hundred more superintendents and principles
and assistance to the principles and everything else before they
paid for the kids to have food every day. I mean,

(36:24):
they're gonna start putting kids first in their budgets and
in Oklahoma, we're gonna be the first day to make
them do that.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Yeah, I mean it is. It's really incredible. Now, of course,
the put Kids First agenda issue that's been top of
mind for a lot of Americans for a long time
now is this whole issue of boys, biological males playing
in girls sports. And you know, I had to bring
this up with you because in California, where you know,
you had Gavin Newsom sitting down with Charlie Kirk a

(36:51):
couple of months ago in a podcast talking about like
he's not in favor of that, he doesn't want boys
in the girls locker room. And then sure enough, once
the federal government puts a ban on this, he stands
against it. What's the policy in Oklahoma, how you're dealing
with this. Have you had any major pushback on keeping
boys on boy sports and girls in girl sports?

Speaker 6 (37:11):
Well, you know, I want to remind people, you know,
we didn't have pushback from parents. We did have pushback
from the teachers' union, We did have pushback from administrators
that didn't want this to happen. We had folks blocking
this in the legislature, but we were able to pass
a ban on boys and girls sports, boys and girls
bathrooms we had an incident in a public school here
where a boy went into the girl's bathroom beat two

(37:31):
girls up, one so severely broker orbital bones. And we're going,
why is a boy in the girl's bathroom? Why are
boys competing with girls? And this is absolute nonsense. So
we have banned this in Oklahoma. We've got common censor
thanks to Riley Gaines. Riley Gaines came here, helped us
get that across the finish line.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Checkually.

Speaker 6 (37:47):
Good friends with my daughter now has been encouraging her
to get into swim lessons and things. But it's so
important that states stand from on this. And by the way,
let's be clear about Gavin newse here, Gavin Newsom is
appeasing his Marxist donor is that far left that run
the Democrat Party. Oh, they are all in on transgender ideology.
I mean, this is their holy grail. They want to
up in society, they want to up in the family.

(38:09):
So they want to disintegrate the differences between male and
females and warp our kids' brains. So Gavin neusso he's
got to be all in on that, you know. He
does an interview with Kurt Turley Kirk and has this
common sense moment. But don't forget who his donors are.
Don't forget who he has to.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Been the need to.

Speaker 6 (38:23):
And so he's right back in line with the craziest
nonsense our country has ever seen.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Yeah, and it is donors. Because eighty two percent of
the American public is very strongly against boys and girls sports.
It's not an issue politically, because to call it a
political issue is really a misnomer. It's it's an absolute
donor oriented fantasy. It's crazy. Now you mentioned the teachers
unions just a moment. They are as militant as ever
in America. They had a big the NEA, which is

(38:49):
the big teachers union, the biggest one, had their convention
the other day, and they no longer even care about
using their jobs to work as political activists. Here's one
teacher speaking at that convention, basically giving up the whole game.
Check it out.

Speaker 7 (39:03):
I was a Howard Citian senator. His name is Shimmer.
He's a Palistinian. No, he's a Palestinian. He's become a Palestinian.
He's abandoned the Jews. But I saw him say, uh,
it's Trump's fault.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
Yeah, yeah, that's right, It's Trump's fault. Jees. Actually, do
you have a see John Lovits to life.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Sorry about that that that was the wrong SoundBite. Love
a technical issue, But what I had was a SoundBite
of a woman who was a teacher and a member
of the NEA leader. They're talking about how she realized
she had a political voice in the classroom and she
was going to use it. I know that you've got
some rules against that kind of politics in the Oklahoma schools.
Tell us about that.

Speaker 6 (39:44):
Look, we have very strict laws on You're not going
to come in and doctrin eight kids. You're going to
teach the standards. So that means when you teach math,
you're actually going to teach math. You're not going to
teach kids to hate this country. You're not going to
teach kids critical race theory. And so we tell them
you're not going to teach in Oklahoma. I've taken teachers
teaching certificates, told them to find other jobs when they've
come in and tried to push graphic pornography on kids

(40:04):
because of liberal ideology. When they've pushed these type of
ideologies on our kids, we don't tolerate Aaron Oklahoma and
every state. You've got a whole firm because here's the reality.
You have these left wing activists that masquerade as teachers,
real teachers, good teachers don't want to do that with kids, right,
Our good teachers going, hey, I got here to help
inspire kids through the subject matter, through academics. These folks

(40:26):
that were left wing ideologues that say, listen, if we
can capture them, I mean they're Marxists, right, I mean,
this is pure Marxist theory. If we capture the kids,
if we indoctrinate the kids, we run the next generation,
We run the country. And so we absolutely have to
put your foot down a states, put some teeth in
what you're doing. In Oklahoma, they know they won't have
a job if they do this. So we have been
able to run this nonsense out of our schools. We've

(40:46):
got a record amounts of parents signing up for our
public schools. Now we've got families moving in with one
of the only state's top ten states and growth. Families
are moving here because we're going listen, when you go
to school, you're not going to see nonsense like that.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
The teachers' unions don't run our schools.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
In Ogloma parents, you run our schools in Oklahoma, and
again we're seeing a dramatic we're getting by the way,
we're getting more teachers coming to Oklahoma than ever before too,
because again your good teachers, go yes, sign me up
for that model. I don't want my classroom run by
the teachers union. I want to work with parents. That's
the vision, that's what a state's going to get on

(41:19):
board with.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
And it works. Well, maybe you can get a teacher
in Oklahoma to teach me how to put right the
correct SoundBite in there. Sorry about that, folks, but thanks
Ran for bailing me out and explaining that to everyone.
Ryan Walters, thanks for joining us, have a great rest
of your week. And again, political consultants, check out what
he did. This is how you deal with people who
try to use children as human shields when all you're
trying to do is cut administrative bloat. Ryan, thanks so

(41:41):
much for joining us. Always a pleasure.

Speaker 6 (41:44):
Thank you. All right.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Well, since President Trump was sworn in, his administration has
been making a lot of new legislation. You know, they've
been working very hard in the economy at a breakneck base.
But don't forget while they're moving the mountains they can't
also take your personal finances into it. You have to
do that now. One of the best ways to do
that and look after your savings is through diversification, particularly

James Comy. Big story. Stay with us let me out,

(43:11):
Let me.

Speaker 6 (43:11):
Out of.

Speaker 5 (43:17):
A lax with the dream.

Speaker 7 (43:20):
Mccardigan.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Welcome to the land.

Speaker 7 (43:23):
Of Frame xcess.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Welcome back to American Sunrise early edition Alive. Look at
the Capitol Dome. They are back and working. By the way,
I don't know how hard they're working, but the break
is over for July fourth. You know, we had some
very interesting news in the evening last night report that
John Brennan, the former CIA director under President Obama, and
James Comy, the former FBI director, are now the subjects

(43:50):
of an FBI criminal probe. Now we don't have all
the details, what we do apparently what the report does
say is that it does this is likely connected to
the Russia Gate hoax. Because remember, for the Russia Gate hoaks,
wasn't just a bunch of people going on MSNBC accusing
President Trump of being a trader or people posting on
social media. A tremendous amount of the infrastructure of the
federal government and of the court system was really really ruined,

(44:14):
was misconstrued, was abused to allow that investigation to go on,
to allow these accusations to go on, and really, James Comey,
I'm just gonna say it. From my point of view,
absolutely lied to the public and to Congress several times.
John Brennan helped make that happen as well. That's my opinion.

(44:35):
We'll see if the FBI is able to get definitive
evidence on this. I don't think it's too hard to find,
but they've got to do that, and we'll see, David
Brodie who joins me, now, we'll see if anyone actually
gets punished. I am certainly not holding my breath on
that one, but I guess maybe the thought is, if
all the evidence comes out to the American people, maybe
though this won't happen again. Maybe well, I'm.

Speaker 8 (44:58):
Glad they're doing it. You said two key words there, Jake,
definitive evidence, and that's going to be the key to
all of this, because remember, these are not just deep
state actors. These are professional deep state actors, James Comy
and John Brennan.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
And what does that mean exactly?

Speaker 8 (45:15):
It means that words matter, and they know how to
play the game. And so if you remember what James
Comy said, he said there was no malicious intent. In essence,
he was saying there was no malicious intent here as
it relates to the Steele dossier and some of the
fives A warrants that went on at the time, but
he said he did acknowledge some mistakes were made. Well, okay,

(45:36):
so if you're going to go down the perjury lane,
what's the difference between malicious intent and mistakes were made?
I mean, that's where they get into this idea that
they play the word game very very well. And I
think that could be potentially, at least legally where this
thing trips up a little bit. Maybe not, and hopefully

(45:56):
not because these are two bad apples for sure, But
that's part of it. Also the other part of this
has to be like, well, if you're going to go
down that route with Brennan and Comy and well you should,
what about Hillary? What about Obama? I mean you can
go down what about Jake Sullivan? What about McCabe? I mean,
you know, where does it end? I mean, so if

(46:18):
you're going to go down this route, you better be
prepared to kind of go the full Monty if you will.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Yeah, Well, at least I just hope someone is worried.
I mean, if they can just feel feel i mean, remorse,
forget about but maybe just a little bit worried This
was a terrible thing. It wasn't just oh hurting President Trump.
This ripped a lot of the country apart. People really
stop being friends with one another. Family relationships were broken
up over this. To me, there's really only divine punishment.

(46:44):
Only only only God can really punish these people properly.
Not because we don't have the right to do the punishments,
but because I don't know if we have the power
to do the punishment as strong as it should be.
But you don't have a punishment coming up. You have
a reward. You have American sun rise in the next
two hours. I'll see you then,
