Speaker 1 (00:04):
Jack Graham here. You know, we live in a time
when it is extraordinarily rare for anyone to stay focused
on anything for forty years. Your forty years of focus
is something that we can all admire. We're so grateful
that you've invited so many of us to have the
opportunity to impact the future of our country and of
(00:25):
the world because you've shared friendship with us. You are
a connector.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
God's word is your answer. I'm so excited you've joined
me today as we've been getting back into the Word
of God, and I want you to get your pens, paper,
or phone, whatever it is, because we are continuing our
deep dive into the pillars of faith. And just before
we get back into the subject, remember at any time,
please feel free to call the prayer line or go
to the website and send me a personal prayer request.
(01:20):
I promise we pray over every single person. Also, we
have a brand new time Tuesday, six point thirty pm
on the day Star Network spread the word, let people know,
and I want to read a praise report. You cannot
only send me your prayer request, but also your praise reports,
Agatha writes and says Pastor Paula I'm excited to share
with you the exciting good news. I sent my prayer
(01:42):
request to this group about the fruit of the womb,
and God did it for me. I will have a
bouncing baby this year in January. Praise the Lord. Look
how good our God is. He is so so faithful.
I want to give God praise for Agatha and then
watch this one. Mister Ruhan says, thank you Pastor Paula
(02:03):
for all your prayers, and thank you Lord Jesus that
you have blessed me greatly and erase my debt of
eleven thousand and seven hundred dollars. Praise the Lord, and
thank you again, Pastor Paula white Kine for your prayers,
for your faithfulness. And this is good good ground that
you sow into. I'm excited about what God is doing
(02:25):
because we are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb
and the word of our testimony. Now, as we get
into the Word, I want you to know it's time
to go beyond having a little bit of an idea
of what God's word says and actually knowing or comprehending
and being able to apply that to our daily lives.
What does his word say? Well? Two Timothy, Chapter three
(02:48):
is we study the importance of the Word today. In
verse sixteen and seventeen says all scripture is God breathed,
and it's useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness,
so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped
for every good work. The Book of the Gospel of John,
(03:11):
in chapter one, verse one through four, reminds us that
in the very beginning there was the Word. The Word
was with God, and the Word was God, and everything
that was made came into being through him. In him
was life, and that life was the light for all humanity.
Whenever God created something, he did it by speaking the word.
(03:33):
And you have that same power, that same ability available
to you. Whenever you receive God's word, you believe God's word,
and you speak God's word and you apply it to
your life, supernatural things begin to happen. That's where you
have a renewed mind. That's where change, in transformation begins
(03:54):
to happen. Now this is not name it, claim it,
just speak it, grab it. It's not like that at all.
That's nonsense. It's received the word. Let the Word work
in you, work on you. You believe the word. It's
a heart issue. You speak the word out of the heart,
the abundance of the mouth speak it. So whatever is
(04:17):
in my heart, I begin to speak, and then I
begin to apply it. I put action. Faith without works
is dead, and that's where your life begins to transform.
See Isaiah chapter fifty five eleven states so shall my
word be that goes forth from my mouth, It shall
not return to me void, but it will accomplish that
which I please, and it will prosper in the thing
(04:38):
for which I scent it. Void means empty or ineffective.
So it says to accomplish means to achieve successfully, and
to prosper it means to become strong and to flourish.
So God's work will cause you to flourish. To be successful.
Success is not a new house, a new car, a
(04:59):
new degree, and a new code a fashion. He says,
success is that you have fulfilled your supreme reason for being.
You are a spirit having a human experience. You are
sent into this world. You have an assignment by God.
And as you get into the Word that becomes more
clear with clarity and understanding. And when you are a
(05:21):
person of purpose, your life has meaning you know that
you're here with God on your side and with you
on God's side. So I want you to think that,
speak it, believe it, act it, and watch it bring
life into your world. When you open the Bible, you'll
find that it's divided in two main parts, the Old
(05:42):
Testament and the New Testament. Think of the Old Testament
as the foundation, covering everything from creation of the world
to the history and the laws of the Israelite people.
It's filled with stories of heroes like Moses and David,
and the prophets who spoke God's words as people the
important of Israel. It also includes book of wisdom and
(06:03):
poetry like Psalms and Proverbs, prophetic books that look forward
to coming Savior. There's minor and major prophets. That's where
you start really getting into theology, understanding how do I
interpret this, What does it mean? Who was it written to?
There's a literal, there's a historical, there is a prophetic meaning.
(06:23):
Then you have the New Testament, which is all about
the fulfillment of those promises from God. It starts with
the Gospels. The Gospels are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
The New Testament also includes letters from the apostles like Paul, Peter,
and John, offering guidance and encouragement to early Christian communities.
(06:44):
And it wraps up with Revelation, a book of prophecy
about the end times and the ultimate victory of God.
And I really want you to understand we have a
Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, and
Jesus soon coming king. There is a second return of
our Messiah. And I am so excited because when you
(07:04):
read the end of the book, you know we win.
Don't be discouraged. You get to be a part of
the great army of God as a child of God.
So the Old Testament sets the stage showing God's plan
and promises, while the New Testament brings those promises to
life through Christ, Jesus and the birth of the Church.
(07:25):
And you understand that the only legal entity in the
earth that has the ability to bring forth change is
the blood bought Church of Jesus Christ. You and me
together they form one powerful, cohesive story of God's love
and redemption for humanity. Have you ever heard someone ask
how do we know we can trust the Bible? Well,
(07:46):
I'm going to give you several reasons and I want
you to write this down and go into a deeper dive.
Get the book. I want you to really understand this
Number one theological reasons. First, there's divine inspiration two Timothy three, sixteen,
and seventeen. All scriptures God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting,
(08:09):
and training in righteousness. It means the Bible equips you
for every good work. As you read it, ask the
Holy Spirit to show you, to enlighten you, to remove
every veil so you can see. Ask your spirit to
come alive and to connect with the Holy Spirit and
reading the Word of God. The next thing, the authority
of Jesus, comes into play. Jesus himself affirmed the authority
(08:31):
of scripture. He often quoted Old Testament in his teachings
Matthew five, verse seventeen and eighteen. Luke Chapter twenty four,
verse forty four. If Jesus, the author and finisher of
our faith, viewed the scriptures as authoritative, shouldn't we? The
next thing is historical reasons. The historical reliability of the
(08:53):
Bible is another factor. Many notable scholars argue it accounts
are supported by archaeological discoveries and historical research. In fact,
the more advance we get, the more science shows the
reality and the truth of the Word of God. It's
so exciting. What a time to live in because this
(09:14):
lends credibility to the major events and to the figures
that it describes. The sacred genuine tradition also matters. Early
church leaders rigulously evaluating which books were recognized as authoritative,
considering factors like apostolic authorship and consistency of message. This
(09:37):
rigorous process strengthens the Bible's authority. And that's important because
there were a lot more books outside of the sixty
six books in the Bible, and you go, how did
they become part of this? I want you to have
that foundation. And that's why it's so important to understand
the pillars of faith, the literary reasons. Despite being written
(09:59):
over entries by different authors, the Bible shows remarkable coherence
and consistency in its message. This unity could only happen
by divine inspiration plus the Bible's influential texts. They've shaped literature, culture, philosophy,
impacting the Western civilization and beyond. They have such meaning
(10:23):
and such profound impact. You see America as founded on
Judeo Christian roots the Bible. Go to the capitol and
look through the buildings and see all the scripture, and
see how our founders founded this nation. The next thing
is practical reasons. The Bible's transformational impact on individuals and
(10:46):
societies cannot be ignored. Its teachings have influenced laws, social
justice movements, personal lives. It's so profound when England, when
we broke away from England, there was a person that
was sent over to study why is America becoming so successful.
(11:06):
He went and looked at all the different things, the farmers,
the politics, the universities, and he went back and reported
to the English government it is because of those fiery
preachers in the pulpit teaching God's word. You see, its
spiritual guidance, provides answers to life's big questions, offers comfort, hope,
(11:29):
and it guides our moral decision making. When you know
that you're offending God by doing something and you clearly
read it, you can't do that without conviction, and that
conviction brings repentance. There's no way to have a moral
compass without the word of God. There's no way to
(11:51):
have a moral compass without the Holy Spirit teaching you
the Word of God, personal reasons. When you read the Bible,
it's more than just mere words on a page. You're
reading the eternal word of God. It's alive, it's quick,
it's powerful. Remember, it cuts through the soul and the
(12:13):
mind and the spirit. What am I saying here? The
Word of God is so sharp that when it says,
it cuts through the soul, which is your mind, will
and emotions to the quick the spirit. There's stuff so
deep embedded in our unconscious, embedded in our soul. When
the Word of God gets a hold of you, it
(12:36):
brings a deliverance, It brings a transformation. Often I've gotten
the Word of God. I'm just sat there and wept.
I've just sat there and when you mean this is
for me, I mean I've taken it at just as
it says, and that brings true transformation. It brings deliverance,
it brings freedom. I've seen the Word of God work
(12:59):
in so many ways in life life that it's short
of nothing but miraculous, delivering me as a young girl
that had just got saved from bolimia and bondage, delivering
me from abandonment over my father's suicide. I could go
on and on and on. When I pray the Word,
(13:20):
I feel a divine connection. It brings peace, It brings clarity,
It gives me direction, it gives me purpose. And I
know that many watching right now feel the exact same.
When you decree the word, you see mountains move, doors
open that no one can shut. Obeying the Word is transformational.
(13:42):
When you are obedient, it changes your life. It has
guided me through valleys, It's led me to victories. And
this personal transformation is undeniable proof that the Bible is
God's eternal Word, is a living force. And God wants
his word to change your circumstance, renew your mind, bring
(14:03):
about his promise, change your life. Why because we're made
overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the Word
of our testimony. So trust in it, speak it, let
it work wonders in your life as you read the word.
First thing that I believe is that you're going to
get to know God better. God the Father, God, the Son, God,
the Holy Spirit. And you need to know that God
(14:24):
is the creator of everything, from all the heavens to
the tiniest detail on earth, that little tiny bug that
bothers you. He's eternal, meaning he has no beginning or end.
He's all powerful. Nothing is too hard for him. He
is holy, set apart, perfect in every way. There's no flaw,
(14:45):
there's no fault in God. He's a loving father, full
of mercy, full of grace, always ready to forgive, always
ready to embrace you. And the problem is if we've
had authoritative parents or role models or people in our
life that point out what's wrong and think about how
you did in school? They mark big exes on the wrong.
(15:08):
Why didn't they do ninety seven check marks? Why three exes?
Because society points out your failure. You did wrong, you
messed up. We lost the game because of you. And
we easily fall into the trap of self acceptance by
being perfect. No one's perfect, only God, and so we
think that we advance or accepted if we're this picture
(15:32):
or this person of perfection, which is impossible. God loves
you as you are. He's just, he's righteous, He always
does what is right, what is fair. You can count
on him to be faithful. He will keep covenant promises
every single thing he's made. The Bible says his promises
(15:53):
are yea and Amen, which means yes, and amen. He
has no variance in him, which means God doesn't change
his mind. He doesn't divorce you, he doesn't walk out
on you, he doesn't leave you. He desires a close
relationship with you, acts as a loving father, a guiding shepherd,
and more than anything, I know that, I know that.
(16:14):
I know He's my redeemer through Jesus Christ. I was alone,
I was lost. I know that very well about myself,
and He redeemed me. He brought me back and paid
the price of that redemption through his son, Jesus Christ.
The Bible says I wasn't purchased with silver or gold.
(16:36):
In other words, the world's goods could not buy me,
but I was purchased by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
The wisdom of God is beyond our understanding. His sovereignty
means that he reigns over all creation. Whether creation recognizes
or not, he still reigns. When you know these things
(16:56):
about God, it gives you a strong foundation of trust.
In other words, I know God has my best interests,
So when I read the word, I trust what he's
saying is for me and it's true. It gives me
a foundation of comfort hope, and the Bible says that
without hope, the heart is made sick. So a merried
(17:19):
heart doeth good like a medicine. I know that God
is powerful and intimately involved in my life more than anything.
If I only have a few moments left with you,
I want you to know that God is love. Now
hear that not God does love. God is love. Do
(17:44):
you know how much God loves you? His love is
beyond anything you could ever imagine. It's not just a feeling,
it's an action, it's a promise, it's a daily reality.
He loves you so much that he sent his only son,
Jesus Is, to die for you while you were still lost,
when you were in sin. And the Bible is filled
(18:05):
with examples and teachings that show us just how deeply
God loves us. In John three sixteen, one of the
most famous scriptures, it says, for God so loved the
world that he gave his only begun son. It's a
sacrificial love. In Romans chapter five, verse eight, it's an
unconditional love. In Jeremiah chapter thirty one, verse three, it's
(18:28):
an everlasting love. In First John three to one. It's
a parental love. In Psalm one oh three, Verse thirteen
and fourteen, it's a compassionate love. In Lamentations, Chapter three,
verse twenty two through twenty three, it's a faithful love,
and I love Psalm ninety one. It's a protective love.
(18:51):
I could go all throughout the Word of God and
show you that. But the examples reveal a God who
deeply cares for you. He's committed your well being. And
the Bible says, if you, who are like earthly fleshly
know how to give good gifts to your children, how
much more will God the Father give you the Holy
(19:11):
Spirit give you good gifts. He's not out to get you.
If he was out to get you, he would have
already got you. You're cherished, you're valued. There's a lot
written about the sacredness of God's love for you. And
if Satan could ever deceive us to go I'm really
not valuable. I'm not worthy. That you don't believe that.
(19:33):
How damaging that it is one of the worst things
that can happen to us, because it really doesn't matter.
It doesn't. It doesn't who left you, who walked out
on you, who hates you, who liked you? When you
know God's love. It gives you the confidence, the wholeness,
the security that you're taken care of, that you're loved.
(19:55):
You see, Satan did this to Eve in the garden
to bring forth out in confusion. And remember God is
not the author of confusion. First Corinthians, Chapter fourteen, verse
thirty three. It's why your identity must be rooted and
grounded in God's word and God's character. That's why it's
imperative that you shift your thinking from doubt, confusion, uncertainty
(20:16):
to the eternal truth that, as a born again believer,
you are God's child, his beloved, and his bride. Throw
away everything that comes against your identity, your purpose, every
false label, every lie, every trigger, everything that comes at
you and attacks your worth, your value. It's critical to
(20:40):
know who you are and whose you are. How do
I do that? Well? Few ways. You get in the word,
you read it, you take the word, you digest it.
When you read something, you're like, you're the apple of
my eye. Put your name on there. Paula is the
apple of God's eye. When it says he loves you
(21:01):
with an everlasting love, put your name in there. He
loves Paula with an everlasting love. I want you to
personalize it. Once you can personalize it, then you can
get to that place of maturity. Because there's milk and
there's meat, and he says, I don't want you to
be on milk forever. There's meat that says, I got it. God,
You've got my back. Send me into that lions. Then
(21:25):
I know that you're going to show up. I'm not
going to eat the king's food. I'm not going to
bow to the devil. I'm not going to go to
the world's ways. I can stand for you because I
know You've got me. And I can only know that
through the realization and revelation of God's Word working in
my life. So I want to encourage you. Why should
(21:46):
you get in the word? Because it won't return void,
It won't return empty, but it will fulfill. It will
succeed in prospering, making sure that you advance, making sure
that it works in you. Why should I get in
the word? It delivers me from those thought constellations and
changes me from those generational curses and those bad habits,
(22:08):
and that immorality, those transgressions, iniquities of sin. Why should
I get in the word? It shows me the truth
of who I am. Mama wasn't honest with me. Daddy
confused me, first grade teacher messed me up, boyfriend told
me wrong. But God's word never's lied to me. There's
not one thing I've read that confused me, tormented me,
(22:32):
told me a lie. It only advanced me closer to him,
closer to his promise. His purpose doesn't mean every day's good.
Doesn't mean everything goes right. Remember, it rebukes, it corrects,
it changes, it chastises. But it means that everything leads
me right. He's a good God. He loves me, he
(22:52):
has my best interest. He's got my back, just like
he's got yours. Get in his word self rejection, and
believe that you are the beloved of God. This is
one small portion from my book, The Pillars of Faith,
But there is so much more that I need to
teach you, And that's why I trust you will want
(23:14):
to get this book. Hebrews Chapter four, verse twelve tells
us for the Word of God is alive and powerful.
It is sharper than the sharpest two edged sword, cutting
between soul and spirit, between joint and moorrow. It exposes
our innermost thoughts and desires. Through his word, God reveals
his love, his will, and his character. It is in
(23:36):
his word that we find the strength, the guidance and
assurance that we need to navigate the complexities of life.
Today we discuss God's Word is your answer, understanding the Bible,
how we know we can trust the Bible, and what
does this word do for us? And in this new book,
