Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, it's your girl. Welcome to
the Idala's shuttles Worth the podcast. And I am looking
up a word right here because I'm about to split
some truth your way that I think is going to
help you. And so so I have titled this message
(00:25):
the Remedy to Worry, the Remedy to Worry, because it's
important to know what to do when you're full of worry,
when you're full of fear. I think worry is really
a byproduct of fear present in your life. So get
(00:47):
rid of fear and worry will go. But a lot
of times I feel like worry is also like it's
indicative of an action, and it's important that we continue
on in the fight of faith by progressing right. Progression
(01:08):
is uh, what's necessary to continue on increasing and growing
in your faith if you aren't doing jack littley squat
about your faith. Because really, when when I talk to
you about faith in God, when I talk to you
about your Christianity, you have to understand that that's not
(01:31):
a passive thing. That's not something that is like a
title like here. You know, a lot of people consider
it a title, but Christianity is is a walk. It's work.
It's it's fighting the good fight of faith, fighting fighting
the good fight of faith. And so when we are
people of faith, like we declare that we are, there
(01:54):
is proof. There is evidence of these things manifesting in
your life. And if there's worry, that's anything. Any time
you worry, you should sit down with your thoughts and
come to the realization that I'm not doing something here,
because most of the time when worry is present, it's
(02:20):
it's telling you a story. It's telling you a story
that I'm not doing something. And so what is the
worry The remedy to worry, it's action. The remedy to
worry is action. And you could just shut this off
and God bless have a great day. But I want
to get into it. Like I usually, like a good
(02:43):
podcast person will tell you what the remedy to worry
is at the tail end of the podcast. But I'm
just letting you know what it is in the beginning
of this because I want you to process this with
that in mind, the fact that worry in your life
is something that needs to go away, and in order
(03:08):
for it to go away, I have to do something
about it. Okay, And so here it says in online.
I'm trying to see the enomology of this, okay, perfect here.
It is to give way to anxiety or unease, allow
(03:32):
one's mind to dwell on difficult or trouble, or difficulty
or trouble. That's what worry is. So look at that.
So it actually differentiates anxiety from worry when when really,
and I've been guilty of this too, worry and anxiety
are kind of like conglomerated into like one thing. It
actually isn't. So worry makes way to anxiety. So if
(03:56):
you're living a life full of anxiety, it's because it
started somewhere. It started in your thought process. It started
with you worrying about something. And what is worry. It's meditation,
Like we're supposed to be meditating on the Word of
God over and over and over again, in thinking good things,
fruitful things, like the Word of God tells you, whatever
(04:18):
it is, think of these things, goodness, mercy, whatever's lovely,
whatever's good. Whatever we need to train our Let me
just read that. I'm not just gonna like pass that by.
It says here in verse eight of Philippians four, it says, finally,
(04:42):
brothers and sisters, whatever is true whatever's honorable, whatever's just,
whatever's pure, whatever's lovely, whatever is commendable, If there is
any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think
about about these things. That is meditation. Okay. So if
(05:05):
if you're constantly thinking about a car accident, is that lovely?
Is that true? Is that just? Is it pure? Is
it commendable? Does any of that is Is any of
that baptized in excellence? No, it's absolutely not. So stop
thinking about it. And see the thought process is such
(05:27):
a powerful thing because that's where the deception happens. The
deception doesn't happen because of you know, some outward thing
where you just get like, you know, hid in the
face with deception. No, the deception happens. It's not a
physical thing. It's it's a mind thing. Right, And so
when we allow ourselves to worry, it actually gives way
(05:50):
to anxiety and anxiety depression, oppression of every kind always
has torment. There's there's things that actually manifest when we
are full of fear and anxiety about what's to come, right,
and we actually manifest those things, and we hear it
so often. I see lots of social media things about
(06:12):
how you magnetize who you are, and you magnetize you know,
success and good things, but you also can magnetize bad things,
right because who you are is essentially what you will
become like. So who are you? Are you full of fear,
because that's what's gonna be produced in in the world
(06:34):
that you live in. Is it good, then good is
going to be produced if it's If it's if you're greedy,
then you'll attract greed. If if if you're wicked, you're
gonna attract wickedness. If you're evil, that's what you're gonna attract.
If you're good, if you're loyal, if you're honest, if
you're true, all of these things that that's who you
really are and you're not faking the funk uh, that's
(06:55):
what you're gonna attract. And so it's it's it's important
for us to keep our thoughts in alignment with the
word of God. And the Word of God says you
got to think on what's excellent. Don't bother thinking on
things that and like worry. You know, the Bible says
what is worry? Let's read it. It says here in
(07:23):
Matthew six twenty seven. Can all your worries add a
single moment to your life. The answer is no. The
answers are resounding. No. Can all of that? Look at
Let's just go at twenty five, let's go to twenty four,
(07:47):
let's go to twenty two. I'm sorry, it's just all good.
It's all good. You need this Matthew six Verse twenty two.
It says your eye is like a lamp that provides
light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your
whole body is filled with light. But when your eye
is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And
(08:09):
if the light you think you have is actually darkness,
how deep the darkness? That's powerful? That's so powerful. We're
talking about what's in you? What's in a person? What
are you filling yourself with? What? What are you attracting?
(08:30):
Dissect that? Do you know what I'm saying? Like? Why
is it that I don't have friends that are loyal?
Why is it that I am am just constantly in problems?
Why is it that I am broke? Why is it
that I am on you know, a third relationship and
I can't commit to it. I have commitment issues? Or
(08:51):
is it just all of them? Do you know what
I'm saying, because if you live in this kind of
like messed up reality, then then you bypass your responsibility.
You just keep blaming other people. Oh yeah, So all
three relationships that you've had, it's all them. Is that
what we're gonna believe? So all you know, six partners
(09:13):
that you've you've you've tried working with, they're all the
problem and not you. So all of the churches that
you've left, they all seem to be all all four
of them, they're the problems, not me. Is that is that? Okay? No, See,
(09:34):
when you allow the Holy Spirit to come in and
speak to you, then all of a sudden you identify
things and things about yourself that you're gonna have to change.
This is an ongoing problem. This is a common problem
for me. So what the heck am I doing wrong?
Because that's how you you start changing the game, when
you start dissecting things about you personally. Can you say hallelujah? Yeah?
(10:00):
So it says here, no one can serve two masters,
for you will hate one and love the other. You
will be devoted to one and despise the other. You
cannot serve God and be enslaved to money. That is
why I tell you to not worry about everyday life,
(10:22):
whether you have enough food and drink or enough clothes
to wear. Isn't life more than food and your body
more than clothing. Look at the birds. They don't plant
or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly
Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to
him than they are? Can all your worries add a
(10:45):
single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing?
Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow.
They don't work or make their clothing. Yet Solomon and
all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they were.
And if God cares so wonderfully for wild flowers that
(11:05):
are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he
will certainly care for you. And look at this, Why
do you have such little faith that sucks? You? Know
what I'm saying Verse thirty one. So don't worry about
these things, saying what will we eat? What will we drink?
(11:28):
What will we wear? These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers. See,
there's proof to what it is that we believe. If
you believe that God is taking care of you, that's
what's gonna be produced. But if there's a fear that
he's not gonna come through, that's also gonna come through.
(11:48):
So you have to make up your mind and decide,
am I gonna believe that God is God, is that
He's gonna take care of me regardless of what I see?
Or am I gonna have this fear come in and
dictate to me how I'm to live my life, because
that's what eventually it'll do when you let where we
(12:09):
come in. So it's like, make up your minds and
then it says it here it said it. That's why
I said it sucks because it says you seriously have
such little faith. You don't have enough word on the
inside of you. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the
word of God, and you have such little faith that
you can't even make up your mind to decide whether
you want to believe it or not. So you're living
(12:31):
this double minded life. I believe God will heal me.
I don't know if He's gonna help me. You know
what I'm saying. It's like, what is it? You have
to be thoroughly convinced, and even though you're preaching about prosperity,
(12:52):
and you're teaching about the blessing of God on your
life and you essentially have nothing to show for it.
At ye're seventeen, and you won't have to wait seventeen
years to do it because Jesus is coming back. At
year seventeen, someone hands you a house and a car.
Why because you are one sided about the word of God,
(13:12):
and so it will eventually produce the fruit that you
are talking about. When you really believe and you do
not doubt. That's Mark eleven twenty three for you. Don't
don't allow worry to come in ever. Look at this
(13:33):
so that you can see something with clarity. Worry give
way to anxiety or unease, unease, unease. I don't know
if that sounds like in my head, doesn't sound right.
Allow one's mind to dwell on difficulty or trouble. Okay,
(13:57):
look at this the etymology which is so amazing to me.
It's Old English. It's from uh who cares who what?
It's from worgan Wurgan. Okay, that's where this is Originally.
(14:20):
This word worry starts off with wor like it came
from wurgen w y r g a n And it
means to strangle of West Germanic origin. In the Middle English,
the original sense of the verb gave rise to the
(14:40):
meaning of seized by the throat and tear later figuratively harassed,
whence cause anxiety. Two early nineteenth century the date also
of the noun. So whatever, who cares? But what I'm
saying is how powerful is that when you worry, you
(15:03):
are strangling. You're seizing by your throat. To strangle is
to worry. And I can't paint a picture more beautifully
than that when it comes to the Word of God
and his promises, you want to choke that out of
your life, Go ahead and start worrying about stupid stuff.
Will it matter in the long scheme of things? I
(15:26):
mean yes, Eventually that worry is going to turn into anxiety,
and that anxiety is going to turn out to full
blown fear manifesting in your life. And you can't produce
anything with that carnality. That's why we're told to be
living in the spirit, because from the spirit you receive
(15:48):
life and godliness, everything pertaining to truth like faith. Spirit. Right,
So we're deciding what we're doing here with our lives.
Am I going to live in fear or am I
gonna live in faith? If I'm gonna live in faith,
then I'm going to be sold out to faith and
what the Word of God has to say regarding my finances,
my health, my marriage, the children, the country that I
(16:10):
live in, everything It embodies everything in my life. And
when I hold on to this truth, I am going
to cling onto it. So if there's fear, if there's doubt,
I will shut it up by quoting Scripture. By his stripes,
I am healed. If that be true. I am not
allowing myself to have those promises of God be snuffed out.
(16:34):
I'm not gonna strangle myself by worrying if this will
ever come true. I'll get rid of it and then
I'll start doing what the Word of God says, which
means think on things that are excellent, things that are true,
things that are holy, things that are pure, things that
are good. I'm gonna focus my energy and my thought
life on that. And you know what, that takes a
(16:56):
lot of effort. Dying is easy. Live takes effort. Living
Living is what's what where where the fight is good?
Die all right bye, We'll see you in heaven. That's
easy living the life that we are called to live.
(17:16):
That's that's the fight that we have to fight, and
that's the the what we're gonna be judged when we
get to heaven. He's gonna say, what, what did you
do with all the things that I've I've given you what?
Let me show show me the works that you've done.
And he's gonna take the works that we've done, and
it's gonna we're gonna try. He's gonna try them by fire,
(17:38):
and only what's good is going to come out on
the other side. And so what's good is the things
that are in the Word of God, things that are
really of value. Huh. Faith and preaching the word and
saving people and laying hands on the sick and seeing
them recover, giving to the poor, doing what Christ would
(18:00):
do if he was here on the earth. That's our commission.
That's what we have to go and make disciples to
everyone everywhere. These things are what's gonna be tried and true,
and they're gonna come out on the other side and
they're gonna they're gonna bring value eternally, not just now.
(18:21):
So then you're gonna look back and say, why did
I worry about this stupid There's so many instances in
my life that I'm like, why was I afraid? Why
did I worry? Why did I like, honestly, like, my
face wouldn't need as much botox if I just didn't worry.
Do you know what I'm saying? So? Why why did
(18:43):
I give one one breath of effort? Why why did
I put one iota of strength or energy into that worry?
When looking back on it, it was like, everything's fine,
Everything's gonna be okay. And I wish that more people
would just just sing that song, everything is gonna be
(19:04):
all right, all right, everything is gonna be all right.
I wish that people would just sing that to themselves
every day and then just knock it off with the worry.
Knock it off with the worry. The remedy to worry
is action. The remedy to worry is action, It says
(19:24):
in Philippians four. Don't be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be
known to God. And the peace of God, which suppresses
all understanding, will guard your heart and your minds guard
your heart and your mind, heart, mind, heart, mind. Huh.
(19:44):
Do you know what I'm stepping in. I'm trying to
make this as clear as possible. When there's worry, when
there's anxiety, it's because you've worried about something. So we're
past We're past worrying at this point. Now we're in
full blown anxiety. Now things are giving you anxiety. Ah,
you know it's it's crippling you. You're unable to think clearly,
(20:05):
to move in the right direction. Why because anxiety and
fear there is right there. But the Bible says, if
you have anxiety, throw it at the feet of Jesus.
Cast your cares on him because he cares for you.
Cast your cares on God because he cares for you
first Pewter five to seven. But in everything you do,
(20:29):
pray with thanksgiving in your heart. That's an action. If
I'm feeling a certain kind of way, I am going
to pray, and this is what I really want to
hone in on. When I pray, I'm not just asking
(20:49):
for God to take it away. God take away this anxiety.
All right, that's a good start. But why do I
feel anxiety? Why do I feel as though I am
at a deficit? Maybe physically my energy? What I can
(21:12):
give to my family my finances, what what, whatever the
deficit might be. Why am I feeling this kind of
way when I go into prayer? It's not, God, just
take this feeling away in Jesus name. I hope he
takes it away. It's it's not it's it's it's deeper. Okay,
it's all right, Lord, let's say it's it's about healing. Father.
(21:37):
I am anxious about these results. I'm anxious about me
not recuperating or or healing properly. Like I'm I'm struggling
to understand, uh, or not even understand, but I'm struggling
to uh trust that your word is gonna come through
(22:01):
for me. Why and then all of a sudden, you're
gonna understand. Wait a minute, The reason why you don't
fully trust is because you are expecting, you know, this
to happen, because it happened to your mom, it happened
to your aunt, it happened to your grandmother, and so
you know you're you've gotta you've gotta obliterate that fear.
(22:21):
How do I obliterate that fear? Faith comes by hearing
hearing the word of God. There's no generational curse that
come can come near me. Whatever has happened to my family.
I'm not part of that blood bloodline. The Bible says
that I've been created a new person, and the me
that now lives is Christ in the flesh. That means
I'm not I'm no longer a dallist or tease with
(22:42):
that bloodline. So if there is cancer in the family,
if there is diabetes in the family, it has to
stop with me, because I am a new creature and
my DNA is now of heavenly It's it's of the heavenlys.
It's a heaven a heavenly DNA. I am. I am
part of a new family who's God is my father,
(23:06):
and so I can no longer see. If that seems
foreign to you, then he'll continue to struggle. Or you
can just say, hey, I believe that. I believe that
when I was created and new, it felt like it
it felt and some of y'all got to remember that
that point where you did get saved, it felt different.
You felt lighter, You felt like peace and joy and love,
(23:28):
and you're like, man, something's changing. I can't really put
my finger on what that is. Yeah, because he created
you new, a new, a new species of being, and
so you can't bring that nonsense into my life because
I have God's DNA. He is now one with me.
It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives
(23:50):
in me. So why be anxious? Why be fearful? Why
doubt that this word be true? And see, it takes
you having to figure that out in your own brain
based on the word of God. The word of God
helps us right, and then we've got the Holy Spirit
that leads us and guides us. And together there's an
atomic bomb that goes off on the island of worry
(24:11):
and fear, obliterating it because we've taken the time to
get the counsel of the Lord. Speak to the Holy
Spirit Father like why is this? And then and then
he'll point us like, look this this is because you're
afraid that all of this stuff is gonna come on
you when it's not. That's the biblically inaccurate. You've been
(24:32):
created a new person, so these things that are in
your bloodline they can't manifest. But you know what, here's
another thing that the Holy Spirit will also do. If
it is diabetes. Well, I'm just believing God, I'm just
soo very worried that you know, I I too will
die of diabetes like my dad. Okay, the Holy Spirit's
(24:54):
gonna say no, you are a new creature. But also
stop eating like an in sane person. Do you know
what I'm saying? There's action, there's action because prayer always
leads to action. It's not God take the feeling away
for me to feel bad about it and just live
continually the way I am. No, if you are serious
(25:15):
about growing, then you're serious about action. You're serious about
putting into action what you believe. So what does that mean?
It means, you know what, Maybe I'll have a salad
instead of chick fi leg maybe I'll walk. Maybe I'll
park extra far and put in my steps instead of
(25:37):
just parking at the handicap spot, because some of y'all
don't even need the handicap parkings. Handicap used to be
for like people that you know, couldn't move their feet,
like my brother who's in a wheelchair, and you know,
he doesn't even use the handicap parking spot now, and
he hasn't for a very long time. He didn't because
(25:59):
now everybody's handicap. Everybody's on the little buggy at the
at the at the grocery store. If you've got arthritis
in your pinky toe or or your hand, you can
qualify for a handicap parking space. I'm not belittling it.
I am a little uh because it's just like, do something.
(26:24):
You're worried about your finances, create a budget, you're you're
inundated with worry about like your house, and it's it's
causing you to worry if if something happened, or yeah,
I don't know where these things are and I don't
then clean it. Do you know what I'm saying. Worry
(26:49):
is just an excuse to not do something that you're
required to do. And prayers sometimes can take the place
of that too. Christians are really good at that. But
the true prayer will always lead you into action. True
prayer will always kind of pinpoint because it's a it's
a it's a it's a it's a two way street.
There you're praying to God, but he's also telling you,
(27:10):
all right, these are the things that you should be
doing different. This is the things that you should not
be doing. This is where you should give yourself to
in these next you know, few weeks, these next six weeks,
these next twelve weeks. I want you to do this.
I want you to focus in on that. I want
you to do that and see then the worry just
dissipates because you are being responsible for the things that
(27:32):
you want to see manifested in your life. These things
don't happen happy, clappy. These things don't happen automatically. They
need to be worked. And if you're worrying about something,
it's because you're not doing something about it. There's inactivity.
So so don't waste your time worrying. If you're so
busy about doing the Lord's work and busy about doing
(27:53):
what's right, and busy about your business and increasing you
know the work of your hand like God speaks about,
then there's no time to worry. I know, I got
I gotta make dinner, gotta pick up the kids, gotta
clean that house, I gotta mow that lawn, I gotta
read my word. I'm praying with my family, I'm giving,
I'm showing up to church. I don't have time to worry.
(28:15):
Who's not time to worry. I'm just going after it.
I'm action action, action, action action. And when you see
that you are serious about the things that you believe
there's action involved. And when there's action involved, there's no worry.
It's like I don't I don't got time for that.
There's there's a remedy for that worry. What is it, Lord,
Why am I worrying about my finances? Oh? Because I
(28:36):
should be doing more with my time. I should be
getting that other job, I should be doing that extra thing,
or whatever it might be. So don't allow yourself to worry.
Don't be anxious. Peace I leave with you John fourteen
(29:01):
twenty seven. My peace I give to you, not as
the world gives it to you. So let your hearts.
Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
If God has given us this commission to not let
our hearts be troubled or be afraid, that means we
(29:22):
could do it. So you have to be intentional about
keeping your heart in the right place and not allowing
worry to come in, and not allowing fear to come in.
Just stop that. Like no, I refuse to think about
my son's death. I refuse to think about bankruptcy. I
(29:43):
refuse to think about death at all. I refuse to
think about you know, the demise of Xyzuse I will
stop that train in my thought today and my thoughts
today in Jesus name, and then whatever it is, why
(30:04):
am I feelings got away, I'm gonna I'm gonna tackle it.
I'm gonna forget the macro. Let's do it. Let's take
it down to the micro. If if, if, if you're
worrying about and enough time, I don't have enough time,
let's I'm gonna I'm gonna sit down with the schedule
and I'm gonna like break it down. These are the
(30:24):
things that I can do hourly. I'll break it down
and then I will move on after an hour of
doing that thing, so that I have enough time to
accomplish what I want to accomplish. And if you're breaking
it down in the micro and there's just simply not
enough time, then then we're gonna We're gonna see how
we can move. Maybe I can get somebody else involved,
(30:46):
Maybe I can get help from outside. Maybe God can
send the help. Maybe this will be a new thing
that I could start praying about. I don't have enough
hours in the day to take care of this, so God,
I need your help. See now we're thinking with a plan.
We're not worrying about it. We're gonna like start scrutinizing
what can we change about this calendar? Huh okay, So
(31:07):
then I need help here. I can't do the laundry
right now, so I'm just gonna drop it off at
a drop and fold now a drop and fold a
washing fold. Now I can't. I can't as Saturdays are
gonna be spent cleaning my house because Monday through Friday
is just crazy. So what do I do. I'm just
gonna get the cleaner to do it. I'll spend one
(31:28):
hundred and fifty dollars for them to just clean whatever
I need to clean. But you know what, it liberates
me of my entire Saturday so that I can spend
it with my family. That is that is that is
a wind in my book. So I'm gonna continue to
do that. You don't have to be like worried about
like the laundry. There's remedies for it. And then you'll see,
(31:52):
oh my gosh, like this drop and fold this washing fold,
dropping fall like you got the drop. This washing fold
has saved me like eighteen hours of laundry. I'm not
even playing with you. I want to do this every
week and I'm a much happier person because of it.
See why worry about it. I'm just gonna drop it
(32:16):
off for pennies on the dollar. Just make sure it's
not wet, and then for you know, thirty five dollars. Boom,
I get my Saturday's back. Whoop woop, let's get ice cream.
Do you know what I'm saying. That's how you rectify
this situation. So don't strangle yourself by worrying. Be led
(32:36):
of the Lord to take action where action is necessary.
Don't worry about it, do something about it. In Jesus' name, Father,
in the name of Jesus, I thank you for our listeners.
I thank you for their faithfulness to your word. I
love them, and I pray that you would bless them
(32:57):
in this month and the next month and the rest
of them. Your Father, I pray that the grace that's
on us would come upon them, and that they would
see your goodness on display. Let the whole world see
your goodness on display in their lives, in their finances,
in their families. In the mighty name of Jesus, bless them,
and Father, I thank you that every time we start
(33:19):
worrying about it, this message would just pop in their
head and even my voice. Let my voice pop in
their head and let it just resonate within them to
let them know that there's action that needs to take place.
If there's worry present, then that means that I'm not
doing something that I should be doing. So in the
mighty name of Jesus, I thank you for the responsibility
(33:41):
that they'll have in their hands, and they're going to
take on that responsibility to do something that's necessary in
their walk with you so that they could be the
most successful, the most well rounded, just the best humans
on planet Earth. In Jesus's name, and all gos people said,
(34:02):
see a bye.
