Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Real America's Voice News. This is Sunday the
Road Forward. We have a lot to talk about as
we wrap up the Thanksgiving holiday, had full speed into Christmas.
There's always a word of hope and encouragement for you
and those you love. I'm doctor Tim Clinton. I'll be
your host our special guest joining us this week. He's
the lead pastor of Pathways Church of Mobile, Alabama. Travis
Johnson is with us and he is vice president of

(00:22):
government relations for City Serve International. Todd lam Fear is
back with us. President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.
Sam Rodriguez is with us. She is a licensed professional
counselor and director of Counseling for the American Association of
Christian Counselors. Doctor Mercy Connors is with us. Thanks for watching.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Sworthy.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
This week, multiple chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood was designated
as a foreign terrorist organization by President Trump. He signed
an executive order directing Secretary Rubio to do this very thing,
which includes the Egyptian branch. The progenitor of all modern
jihadis al Qaeda, ISIS and Hamas. Remember last week, Texas

(01:28):
Governor Greg Abbott designated the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council
on American Islamic Relations as a forced terrorist and transnational
criminal organization. This bans them from buying or acquiring land
in Texas and authorizes the Attorney General to sue in
order to shut them down. This infiltration across the country.

(01:50):
It's serious. Six Congressional Democrats are also feeling a heat
this week for their video urging members of the military
to reject quote what they said were illegal orders from
President Trump. President Trump posted the traders that told the
military to disobey my orders should be in jail right now,
not roaming the fake news networks trying to explain that

(02:12):
what they did was okay. It wasn't and it never
will be. It was sedition at the highest level, and
sedition is a major crime. Many are calling for their arrest.
Lawlessness and violence continued in Chicago. You heard about that
Christmas tree lighting event getting shot up and crime stats
are growing there. And in Charlotte, we continue to watch

(02:33):
what's happening there is Operation Charlotte Webb continues, a number
of arrests of bad dudes and a lot of quote
anti ice protesting continue there and this week a man won.
If you can believe this, the World's Strongest Woman contest,
Andrea Thompson, the female runner up, had her title taken
away from a man. Some conservatives are pushing a different narrative.

(02:58):
Also on Israel, Eric Matax has pushed back on Tucker
Carlson and said, has Tucker read Psalm one O five,
written a thousand years before Christ that says God remembers
his covenant forever for a thousand generations, which he confirmed
to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying to you, I

(03:18):
will give this land of Canaan. That's pretty plain and simple. Hey.
With Thanksgiving now behind this, Christmas is just a few
weeks away, it's time to dial in and begin to
enjoy the Christmas holiday season. Here's some thoughts from the
Bible to anchor are week. It comes from Philippians Chapter two,
verses six through eleven. The Bible says, who, being in

(03:38):
the form of God, thought it not robbery to be
equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, took
upon himself the form of a servant, was made in
the likeness of men, and being found in fashion as
a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death,
even the death of the cross. We're talking about Jesus here.

(03:59):
Wherefore God highly exalted him and given him a name
which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus,
every knee would bow of things in heaven, things in earth,
and things under the earth, and that every tongue would
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of
the Father. There's a key thought. Jesus was born in

(04:20):
the shadow of a cross. Hey, we're going to pray
and then we're going to get started. God, thank you
for this privilege. Pray your special blessing over our program today.
Use it for your glory. Thank you for the miracle
of Christmas. We love you and Lord, we want to
serve you with our whole hearts. And I pray all

(04:41):
this in the strong name of Jesus. Amen. Let's get started.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
For more encouragement and to stay connected, follow doctor Tim
Clinton on Facebook, Instagram, and X. We love being a
part of your life.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Joyce Now is Travis Johnson. He's the lead pastor of
Pathway Church in Mobile, Alabama, CEO of People for Care
and Learning, and the founder of By a Tree Change
of Life he's also a strong and faithful member of
the National Faith Advisory Board. Travis, welcome, thank you for
joining me.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Hey, thank you, doctor Tim. I've always built up when
you give me that intro, and I'll try and live
up to it for sure.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Well, hey, Travis, let's go straight to breaking news this week.
It looks like Ukraine has agreed to the peace proposal
with Russia. I mean, that's pretty monumental. Seriously, at the
end of incredible. Yes, President Trump's team getting the job done.
People are calling him the peace President. Travis. Just your thoughts,
your reflections on what the President's been up to lately.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
It's true, you know, when President Trump was running for
his second term, third time, he won election, but second term,
people were saying he was going to start a world war.
But what we've actually seen is a strong America leads
to a more peaceful world, and especially when President Trump
is in office. Look, he's done Thailand, Cambodia, DRC, Rwanda
M twenty three, he's speaking into Nigeria, I mean all

(06:08):
over and you see, you know, the most persecuted people
in all the world are Christians. They are under intense
pressure and so they're so blessed. The Church of Jesus
Christ is so blessed because our president is not afraid
to use American muscle, American influence and to call for
peace for these nations, and so we see it. So
I'm excited. I'm thankful for Russia, Ukraine, and I pray

(06:29):
God just continues to do an incredible work. You know,
all over because of President Trump's work.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Chavis, youer a big vocal advocate on religious liberty around
the globe. You mentioned Nigeria. President's very serious about what's
happening over there. It's like a Christian genocide. I mean,
they're taking Christians out left and right. Also, you're really
serious and concerned about the Congo. Explain that to us.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Well, in Nigeria, you have sixty people a day, sixty
Christians a day being killed. In Nigeria. There was just
a school three hundred students were taken hostage by Islamists.
So that's happening. President Trump is speaking now. Congo is
very important and very dear to our heart. We've been
involved in Congo, serving and ministering for years and years.
For the last five years we've been praying in our
church for Congo. We know this situation, you're talking thirty

(07:17):
years of silent genocide taking place. And so when President
Trump spoke up and worked out this peace agreement that's
been in process between Congo and Congo and Rwanda, it
was a tremendous blessing.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
You know.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
I just came back in July. President Chiseketti invited me over.
I preached in front of the People's Palace, which is
their white house, some thirty thousand people and the rally
was USA DRC Peace in Jesus Christ Rally, and so
you know, we're praying for peace, and actually we're praying
that God would do a really special work in Congo.
I really feel like Congo is such a the wealth

(07:54):
under their feet is going to really solve a lot
of problems in the world. But what it has done
is that those rare earth minerals have caused countries all
over to destabilize Congo. And so President Trump stepping in,
he's saving lives. I'm watching it and we're very close
to this being completed. And so doctor Tim, I'm so
thankful for President Trump's work. He's literally saved hundreds of thousands,

(08:19):
millions of lives by this work that he' said, you know,
let me let me say this one last thing. I've
been in Cambodia for twenty years with our work and
people for Karen Learning. We have schools, churches, farms, orphanages
all over Cambodia and Thailand invaded and had this attack
on Cambodia. President Trump stopped it, and it's still some

(08:41):
challenges there on that border. But man, I don't know
what we would do it without President Trump right now with
this kind of.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Work, Travis, in our nation, we all know that we've
we've been through it pretty good over the last few years.
We got some divisions still going on. You look at
cities like Chicago it and you're thinking, boy, oh boy,
it's just unbelievable. Of course, the open borders has fed
a lot of that. There's a lot of anti ice

(09:09):
protesting going on. But Travis, we're at that season of
the year where we're trying to slow it down and
dial into the goodness and grace of God for a moment.
I know, as you as a pastor really trying to
shepherd your flock, you're leading in that direction. Set us
up and talk to us about what you've been sharing
this past week. Over Thanksgiving and as we move toward Christmas.

(09:32):
In the holiday season there, well.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
You know, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is a really
great time for a lot of people to really do
a lot of introspection. And so you've seen people, you know,
making longer form posts on social media, kind of doing
an analysis and inventory on themselves. I think it's really
important for us to do that and for gratitude. You know,
one thing that I did in our church service is

(09:55):
I just stopped and asked everyone to pray. You know,
we pray every single week. We believe that God still
in answers prayer. But I asked the church not to
ask for anything. I ask just for them to stop
and with hearts of gratitude give thanks to God. And look,
there are challenges in the world. Well, we are so
extremely blessed, and sometimes we're victims of our prosperity and

(10:19):
our blessing. We get our eyes off of how abundantly
gracious the Lord has been to us. If we could
fix those first world dramas, then it would be a
whole lot easier for us to look through the clutter
and give thanks to God because He's been incredibly generous to.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Us that attitude of gratitude and everything gives thanks. So
that's the will of the Father concerning you. You are right, Travis.
It does change everything for some people. They struggle stepping
back and maybe it's so dark and they're gone through
hardship that's unimaginable. Maybe everything's different this holiday season, Travis,

(10:53):
how do you challenge them to come up out of
that pit if you will and engage. Remember what the
message of hope is all about.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Well, okay, so there are many victims in the world.
There's a victimhood culture as well. That's bigger than how
many victims there are. But all of us have faced difficulties,
some greater than others. Some of us have caused difficulties.
Actually all of us, we've we've said and done things
that we wish that we couldn't. This is a great
thing about Jesus is the Bible says, while we were

(11:26):
yet in sin, he died for us. He didn't only
say that, but when he announced his ministry, when he
stood up in the temple in the synagogue, he enrolled
the scroll, and he said that he had come to
set at liberty those who are captive, to bind up
the broken hearted. There is not a single person on
the planet that God does not see and know, and
he loves us. He loves you for anyone that's watching

(11:48):
routing out, the Lord loves you. And there's no situation
you could be in, no place you can go that
you can get away from God's reach. And so if
you want to be close to the Lord, you want
you want that freedom in Jesus, the Bible says, near
to me, and I'll draw him near to you. All
you have to do is ask, you know. I think
about people that raise their hands that you know they
want to make a decision for Christ, or they want
to ask God to meet one of their needs. You

(12:11):
can't raise your hands fast enough or walk to an
altar fast enough before God gets to you. He moves
so much faster, and he doesn't make you come to.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Where he is.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
The Bible says that while his son was yet a
long way off, the Father ran to him. And so
the Lord, he's just looking for you to reach and
if you do, he'll be right there with you.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Tavish, you and your wife, you help lead a special
project this time of the year. It's called by a tree.
Tell us about that and what the significance is.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
Well, buy a Tree, Change a Life dot com. It's
just a little small group missions project that got out
of control. About thirteen years ago or so, we had
a Coastguard family that was adopting a little girl from
Ethiopia and we wanted to help him raise money. And
so one of the guys that he had sold Christmas
trees in Miami Beach and did pretty good.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
Well.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
We were in South Miami. I thought Miami South Miami's
Catholic Miami Beaches a little crazy. I thought if they
did good there, then we would do good in South Miami.
And so we sold Christmas trees. We raise the money,
paid for the adoption, had such a great time. The
church crew people came to know Jesus and we helped
that adoption. Now By a Tree, Change of Life is
in twenty three states. In just a couple of weeks,
we will have given away over fifteen million dollars to

(13:23):
help children globally and locally. I just went down through
some of the things and we have in Cambodi, we
have we're paying for fifteen kids to go to college.
We have fifteen hundred kids in our learning centers. It's
just incredible what God's doing. And that's the only Cambodi
that's not Congo, that's not Paraguay. And then half of
that money is staying right in the communities where our
Biotree Change Life Christmas Tree lots are and so we

(13:47):
have the Lord has just brought together so many people
that by Christmas Trees, they're just changing a buying behavior
and they're getting that money one hundred percent of it
straight to kids, sharing the good news of Jesus meeting
those needs in really tangible ways. And doctor Tim, I
can't even believe what God has done with all of that.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Amazing. You have a new book coming out at the
top of the new year, Unembarrassed for Jesus, foured by
our good buddy Jensen. Franklin tell us about the book.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Well, I got it right here. I just happen to
have a copy. It's one of my favorite things that
I've done, and I think it'd be a real blessing
to you. Unembarrassed of Jesus. Follow from a distance, lose
your faith, follow closely, and change the world and you
can get I'll give you the first chapter for free
right now if you text the word book to eight
seven seven eight five six zero four forty four. And

(14:41):
the book actually comes out on February third, but you
can go ahead and start read it. You could pre
order it. Of course, if you do that, more people
that pre order it than the more books they'll put
on the shelf, and that'll come out good for the Gospel.
And so this is the good news of Jesus. Here's
what I believe. I believe that a passive week ten
in faith isn't going to change your family, is not

(15:03):
going to last with you, you won't really grip Jesus. But
if you go all in with Jesus, not only will
you see transformation in your life, you'll see transformation in
your family for generations, your community. And so I'd love
for you to get that again. I'll give you that
number eight seven seven eight five six zero four forty four.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
I'm embarrassed for Jesus. I can't wait to read it. Travis.
What it's like to have you always. Thank you for
joining us. Happy holidays to you and your family.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Thank you, doctor Clanton. We'll talk to you soon.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Love you. Man coming up next, and he is vice
president of government relations for City Serve International. Todd leam
fear is back with us. Do people ever come to
you asking for help any hope? How about prayer? Do
you ever wish you understood the issues better that people
are wrestling with? Or how about how to use the

(15:52):
Bible more effectively in caring for people? If so, I'd
love to get a copy of our Care and Council
Bible in your hands, featuring one hundred sixteen topics written
by some of the world's best mental health and ministry experts.
I think you'll love it. Topics like discouragement, abuse, depression, divorce, anxiety, abortion,
and more. So you can learn more about these issues

(16:14):
and how to use the Bible more effectively, how to
share passages of scripture with others, maybe even yourself as
you're sitting down over a cup of coffee. You know
what I love most about this Bible is that it's
so easy to use. You can find right up front
an index with subjects, keep passages of scripture, personality profiles,

(16:36):
and so much more to go to so you can
use the Bible more effectively and caring for other people.
The Caring Council Bible right now is retailing for eighty
five dollars. We're going to make it available to you
for just forty nine to ninety nine plus shipping. I
think you're going to love it. Hey, for more information
about how you can get this Bible right now, go
to Careincounsel dot com. That's care and dot com. Johnson

(17:03):
now is Todd Lamfeir. Todd serves as senior vice president
of City Serve International, a global Christian humanitarian aid organization.
He also serves on the executive committee of the National
Faith Advisory Board. Todd, welcome back, Thank you for joining me.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
Tim, good to be with you again.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Tells we started. Hey, happy Thanksgiving week. I know you've
been traveling the world all year, Todd. Probably great to
be home, but hey, we knew last November that it
was going to be a wild ride this year, and
boy has it proven to be true. Todd. At the
end of the day, it was like the world was
on fire last year. You know that some great things

(17:39):
are happening. We've got a lot to talk about. But Todd,
just kind of a thought on where you think we're at,
how we're doing as a country right now.

Speaker 6 (17:48):
You know, Tim, First of all, happy Thanksgiving to you
as well, and to all your listeners and viewers here.
I really like where we're at. Quite frankly, I don't
think anyone would have addicted the amount of success and
the amount of movement that has taken place in just
ten short months. It almost feels like ten years in

(18:10):
dog Lives, if you will, it was. The movement is
so fast with this administration. And you know, our commander
has become the commander of peace throughout the world, and
we're just so grateful for all that's been done through
this administration around the world.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Todd, You've spent a lot of time at the border.
You've taken a lot of Christian leaders pastors there. You've
been down there serving agents as they have tried to
enforce rules and regulations and laws, and you've served their families.
But Todd, people were horrified about the open border mess,

(18:51):
in particular some four hundred and fifty five hundred thousand
kids who came through kind of unvetted and they were
placed with second trafficker, gang members, abusers, people like that.
Under the Biden administration, I know, Cash Bartel and the
FBI have been on a real hunt, if you will,
to track down these kids and to do something special.

(19:12):
But Todd just s George, your thought on what you
saw and what you see happening even now as we're
trying to do those welfare checks.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
You know, Tim, one of the greatest acts of compassion
is to have a strong boarder. Now that may say
sound contrary to what the media and legacy media says,
but the most compassionate thing that can happen for unaccompanied minors,
children without their parents or legal guardian, is to have

(19:45):
a strong board that says we're not going to take
you here. There isn't easy open access because what happens
to them on the way is unthinkable as a father
and a grandfather as to what happens to those children
on the way here. And then once they get here,
some almost a half a million children that were unaccounted for.

(20:07):
We don't know where they are, and we do know
that many of them, unfortunately have fallen into the hands
of human traffickers, and so shutting down the border is
the best protective measure for these precious children coming across
the United States.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Todd, you have a deep love for Israel. We've talked
about Israel a lot. You've been over there many times
with City Survey. You're doing amazing work over there. Todd.
Also note that you've been concerned with and spent a
lot of time with the leadership there about peace. Is
the peace holding up? Todd? Just some perspectives on where
you see things right now. I know that whole Gaza

(20:50):
strip and that whole region has been upside down and
there's a lot happening.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
But your take, Yeah, the Jewish people are are the
most resilient people on the face of the planet. And Tim,
you're very involved with the Human Flourishing You're one of
the really the founders of the Human Flourishing Alliance and
the program. Well, Israel ranks number two in the world
on human flourishing. They're they're people finding purpose and meaning

(21:18):
in life and and uh. And that's what's so extraordinary
to me is their ability to be that way in
the midst of a war, in fact, to be that
way in surrounded by millions of people who want to
kill them and eradicate them. I'll tell you this about
about the Jewish people that are living there in Israel.

(21:39):
They want peace, They seek peace, They just want to
live their life. They just want to be able to
help humanity. They're not they're not anti Arab, I can
tell you they're not anti Arab. They're anti Helmas, they're
anti Hesbala in the north, and they're anti the Houthis.
They're anti terrorists, but they're not anti Arabs. And they

(22:01):
just want peace. They just want to live in peace.
In fact, most of the communities that were attacked by
Hamas on October seventh, twenty twenty three were communities that
were actively involved in helping the Palestinians who were living
in Gaza, with aid, with medical supplies, with food, with jobs.
Over fifteen thousand would come across every day.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Working.

Speaker 6 (22:26):
And so the people of Israel are such amazing people
who just long for peace.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Todd. We've seen anti Semitism stick up ats ugly head
on college campus and universities all over the country. There's
a real effort to curtail some of that. We've also
seen though recently some conservatives, you know, with a kind
of different narrative on Israel. I saw where Eric Metaxas

(22:55):
a good friend of ours, challenged Tucker Carlson to say
ritsal one of five. Eric said this written a thousand
years before Christ, that says God remembers his covenant forever
for a thousand generations, which he confirmed to Israel as
an everlasting covenant, saying to you, I will give the
land of Canaan. Eric's closing remarks were, that's pretty much

(23:18):
as basic as it gets, folks, just todd your thought
on people of faith and Israel.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Well, you know, God really did dummy it down for
us in letting us know that what he had given
to Abraham seed was an everlasting covenant covenant. And it
is alarming. We expect anti Semitic verbiage coming from people
who do not believe in our Lord and our God.

(23:49):
You know that's to be expected, but when people who
claim to know the name of Christ and to have
this type of visceral and this type of attitude towards
God's people is unconscionable. I mean, I can't even wrote
my brain around it. But this heretical doctrine of replacement
theology is really what is permeating the hearts of people

(24:13):
in our evangelical circles. And you know, we've always just
taken the word of God literally. When he says I
will bless those that bless your seed, I will curse
those that curse your seed. Take that literally and stand
behind you is or are they perfect?

Speaker 1 (24:29):
No?

Speaker 6 (24:30):
Does their government make mistakes, yes? But are they God's
chosen people? You better believe it. And if you're go
land on any side, land on the side of God's people.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
I know our friend Jay Strack is taking an entourage,
if you will, about a thousand Christian leaders over to
Israel here soon and they're going to be talking about
a lot of this very thing and what's happening and
helping bring build awareness around everything that's happening over there. Todd,
are you encouraged by what you see in Israel?

Speaker 6 (25:04):
I am encouraged. I'm grateful that we are a president
that really stood his ground. Hamas knew he wasn't playing around,
he wasn't missing words, and that they released all of
the hostages. I had the privilege of being with the
family of hostages the day before they were released, and

(25:27):
just the excitement. There's a new lease on life for
the nation of Israel. They wanted, they needed, They had
to get their hostages, both alive and dead, back and
that was just so important to them. And kudos to
our president for making that happen and standing behind Israel
on that. But I think there's great optimism right now.

(25:50):
Quite frankly, there's really some sweet optimism on where the
future holds for Israel.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Yeah, Todd, you show up where a lot of horrific
things have happened. I think about Hawaii and the devastating
fly fires over there. I'm thinking about Los Angeles and
the fires we saw out there. You went to Israel,
You've been in the middle of everything over there, You've
been to Ukraine. You just show up. Recently, you were
in Jamaica. Hurricane Melissa came through there, wiped that place out.

(26:20):
I think fifty four people confirmed Dad as a result
of that. But Todd, what'd you see and what were
you guys doing there?

Speaker 6 (26:29):
Well, Melissa did ravish Jamaica. Unfortunately didn't get a lot
of airtime and playtime here with legacy media. Forty two
percent of their country was devastated by this hurricane. Let
that thinking. Could you imagine if forty two percent of
America was affected by a storm and it literally ravished them.

(26:53):
I will tell you that they're still in active search mode,
and it's not search and rescue now, obviously, but they're
still weeding through all of the devastation in the mountains.
Thank god, it didn't hit in Kingston. That it did move.
It did move towards the west, and it hit a

(27:16):
lot of the mountainous areas. But there are a lot
of hurting people. I mean, building code was not stellar
to begin with before this, and so they're gonna need
a lot of help. They're going to need help from
not only the United States but the world. By the way,
Israel they are stand up when it comes to disasters.
They're always there first, front and center making it happen

(27:38):
as well, along with the United States. So food is needed,
clothing is needed. We have crews coming in from all
over the country, working with our Compassion Collective, with City Serve,
with World Vision, National Faith Advisory Board, Paul white Mans,
all of these are coming together. And of course, obviously

(28:01):
our friends with Samaritan's Purse, they're always just a wonderful
present in time of need as well. So it's the
body of Christ coming together to help the hurting. That's
what it's all about. Tim.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
They said there was a staggering amount of homeless people there, Todd,
I just it's hard to believe in today's world, you
know that, But hey, hey, the hands and feet of
Jesus being the hands and feet of Christ is what
this is all about. Todd. Always appreciate the great work
you're doing and appreciate you. Thank you so much for
joining me.

Speaker 6 (28:30):
Thank you, Tim.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Coming up next. President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference,
Sam Rodriguez is with us.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
For more encouragement and to stay connected, follow doctor Tim
Clinton on Facebook, Instagram, and X. We love being a
part of your life.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Join us now, Sam Rodriguez. He's the president of the
National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the world's largest Hispanic Christian organization.
Is also a lead pastor of New Seasoned Church in Sacramento, California.
Say and welcome back. Thank you for joining me.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
Great to be with you, my friend Sam.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
A lot to talk about, but I want to go
to Arlington, Texas. This past week transgender participation in sports continue.
Man wins the World's Strongest Woman contest this week, Sam, unbelievable,
blowing up social media. It's just hard to put words
to this.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Well, you could put word, so let me help you.
Utter nonsense, utter nonsense. Hence to pushback. One of the
major significant reasons that we don't want to talk about
is the verbial elephant in the room. Why President Trump
WoT the election in twenty twenty four, What was it?
It was this right here, my friends, right here. It's nonsense,

(29:49):
absolute nonsense, and it's anti biology, anti human physiology, anti science,
anti common sense. It's illogical. But it's the hard left
embrace a narrative that is completely logical and nonsensical that
is prompting this incredible move, not just in America now
but around the world. Can you believe it? A biological

(30:09):
man now the strongest woman? How about that batman?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
You know, when you look at our educational system, you
could see how bad it got. Sam. It wasn't about
this transgender ideology was it was being railroaded. We're talking
about not educating our kids and doctrinating our kids. That's
what it was all about. Still some pockets of it
going everywhere, Sam, We've got to deal with this craziness.

Speaker 5 (30:33):
Yeah, we have to. Recently, a superintendent of schools was interviewed,
and what does a superintendent schools say when they want
to ask explicitly what is a man and a woman?
The person couldn't answer. Now, this is the person in
charge of the educational system in an entire region. Can
you believe that, and that person does not having cognitive bandwidth,
nor the moral certitude, or just a scientific basic fact
of articulating what is a man or a woman? If

(30:54):
the church rises up, if every single Christian believer rises up,
and we vote according to biblical stand and how about
this according to science? Galileo was going like this in
his Great According to Science, we would push back against
this nonsense, but we have to be vigilant. It is
absolutely everywhere, including in children's cartoons.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
SAM. This week also President Trump designated multiple chapters of
the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization. SAM big deal.
Governor Abbott I mean gave some pushback last week, basically
said they're not allowed to buy land in Texas anymore.
But this infiltration, it's happening. It's serious, and people are

(31:36):
starting to wake up to it.

Speaker 5 (31:39):
It's deliberate, tim and it's not conspiracy theory. Just like
the Marxists and the Communists in the early nineteen hundreds
actually met and had an agenda regarding infiltrating the West,
it's actually just a matter of fact. Likewise, the extreme
Muslim portions of the world, especially those that believe in
Sharia law and believe in the abuse of women and

(32:01):
believe in the mutilation of little girls. This extreme sector
of the Muslim world is invading America in different pockets
of our nation. And if we tolerated, Sharia law will
replace English common law. Again, this is what's happening in
the UK. Don't take my word for it, please. The
UK is boiling over with tension, incredible tension, not just

(32:25):
in the UK but Germanion, different parts of Europe because
they permitted Sharia law. They permitted an ideology that is
counterintuitive to Western civilization. How about this put that aside,
counterintuitive towards Enaeo Christian value system. We are what we tolerate.
Governor Abbott is leading the way righteously, and we need
other governors around the country to follow suit.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
Good word, Sam, Hey, let's go to these six congressional Democrats,
by the way, feeling some heat because they were urging
members of the military to reject what they called were
illegal orders from President Trump. President Trump fired back on
so I mean basically said, hey, uh, they are outlaws
basically at the highest level, and seditions a serious crime. Sam.

(33:09):
People are calling for their arrest. Senator I think Mark
Kelly out of Arizona leading the way. Looks like looks
like the Department of War is going to come after
him or something. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
Now, one of those gracious governors, the gentle lady from
I believe Michigan, came along recently and said, wait a minute, no, no, no, no,
no no. President Trump did not issue any illegal order.
What we're what we're speaking is it may be hypothetically so,
yet they're pushing back. There are consequences when you're an
elected official, a senator, mind you, for you to tell

(33:41):
the military stop obeying the President of the United States
of America. Yep. Yeah, it's it's not just an error
in judgment in somehow speaking out of turns out of order.
There are consequences, and that's what a vetoric legal consequences.
And I believe these senators are about to discover that
Dorothy were not in Kansas anymore.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Yeah, Sam, This lawlessness too, also that we're seeing across
the country violence, this upticking crime and violence. You look
at Chicago that Christmas lighting ceremony, they start shooting it up.
It's craziness, I mean. And you go down to Charlotte,
this Operation Charlotte's Web down there, but man, these people
coming against ice agents. I mean they're putting some they're

(34:23):
going after bad dudes, Sam, they're going after bad guys, okay,
and they're trying to get them out of the country.
And people are losing their minds over it. What's happening
to us, Well, what's.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
The common denominator? You do your due diligence, please the
city with this adult bridled amount of crime, criminality, violence,
and so forth. By coincident, by coincidence, it happened to
believe in super progressive blue cities. If you believe in
defunding the police, if you believe that the police are
the much tremala ombrace the bad guys, then you will
read chaos and anarchy and you will reap the violence

(34:57):
that they are reaping in Chicago and Charlotte in different
part of the country. It's that continual rhetoric. So when
President Trump says, I will send it into National Guard,
because even though I know that people did not vote
for me, they are created in the image of God.
Watch this, and they deserve to live, save lives. This
is President Trump. Now, they did not vote for me,

(35:18):
but I love them, and they are American citizens, and
they deserve to be protected. This is where we have come,
my friend, and we have to once again confront this,
and we have to just flip the script and vote
in mayors and elected officials who will protect the citizenry,
who will put the bad guys in jail and protect
the good people.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Sam. All this goes back to the open border mess
that we had. You know that. Thank god, the borders
are shut down right now and be shut down. Yeah,
and systems need to be put in play where people
can come into the country legally. We've got to figure
out this deportation issue. Sam. At the end of the day,
I want to go to ICE announcing a brand new

(36:00):
operation to conduct welfare checks on those four hundred what
fifty thousand kids who the Biden administration put basically with
unvetted sponsors. Sam. I know this is a passion of yours.
It makes no sense to me that those kids would
wind up in these kind of situations.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
No, Doctor Clinton, Tim, my good friend for twenty plus years,
you're hitting me on a soft spot here is I
let me get my words together. Letn't put my words
together here, Tim, as a pastor of an American pastor
of Hispanic descent. I can tell you firsthand, many of
these kids have been sex traffick. Many of these kids

(36:40):
have been exploited by the cartels. Tim the testimonies that
we're hearing in our churches will break your heart. I
can't I forgive Joe Biden, I asked to I'm a Christian,
I'm a pastor, but for crying out loud twelve million
illegal entries and letting for over three hundred thousand kids
go missing, kids, little kids go missing, living the consequences

(37:01):
of that. Now, how much therapy, how much trauma healing
do we have to engage in. It is egregious, malfeasance.
It's immoral, it's reprehensible. I argue that it's diabolical, and
my goodness, this is why this is so important. I
when I see people protesting and with other flags by
the way, which you're talking about, elogical, it makes no sense.

(37:22):
They don't understand that right now, the number one priority
is deporting these pedophiles and these cartel gang members who
are raping and abusing little kids.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Sam, It's like it makes it leaves you speechless because
you think God, God saved, God saved the kids, and
we've got to pray that the administration continues to to
do everything they can to find these kids and help
these kids out. Sad, Sam, I want to I want
to close out on Israel for a moment. It's it's

(37:52):
confusing to watch some conservatives and the narratives go all
over the place where it comes. Oh, Sam, I know
you love the nation of Israel, and I guess I
just want a word of encouragement to people of faith
about the significance of the nation of Israel and how
God feels about Israel and where we should be in
this hour.

Speaker 5 (38:13):
Yeah. Again, you engage the Word of God, not just
the Old Testament, but even in the New Testament. The
writing to the Apostle Paul, the Letter to the Romans,
of course, primarily chapters nine throughe eleven. It is explicit.
It talks about us being the gentiles being grafted in
through the finished work of Christ. It talks about us,
we're grafted in. Yes, we are now part of this
amazing chosen algorithm. Right. The people of the promise, the

(38:35):
Promise of Abraham, are ours to the finish work of
Christ's Galatians three twenty four and three twenty nine. But likewise,
Romans nine three eleven says, but I'd forgotten about Israel.
Has God forgotten about Israel? There is that covenant down
Nolan Boyd. He says, absolutely not. God never forgets the
promises he makes to his people. It is explicit sure,
God has a plan for Israel, and that plan cannot

(38:58):
and will not be denied for the Jewish people. The
apostle Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, inspired by the
Holy Spirit, wrote that explicitly that cannot and will not
be denied. So listen this anti Semitic and it's not
confused narrative coming even from the right, from conservative sectors,
that must likewise not be tolerated, and we can't ignore it.

(39:21):
Every vestige of anti Semitism is a vestige and a
thread that is antithetical to our Christian worldview. If you
are anti Semitic, you are anti Jesus. I just said it.
If you are anti Semitic, you are anti Jesus. If
you are anti Semitic, you are anti the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. So stop it, stop this nonsense. In Jesus' name,

(39:42):
Love Israel, pray for the Jewish people.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Pretty for people, of course, but.

Speaker 5 (39:46):
Pray for this nation, the sides of New Jersey, surrounded
by enemies that want to annihilate her. Pray for that
nation because God has a purpose for Israel that cannot
and will not be denied, regardless of what you put
on Instagram.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Face book corrects Sam, always great to have you. I
see you're getting in the Christmas spirit back there by friend.
I like that. Bring it on, That's all I say, Sam,

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Thank you for joining me so much for having me today.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
As we started, Mercy, we're wrapping up Thanksgiving week here
and we're basically full bore on our way toward the
Christmas holiday season. What just a little over three weeks
to get there, but mercy. Most people describe it as
a time of joy and absolute chaos, a lot of
mama's stress, Mercy, What are you finding? What are you
hearing from people around you?

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Yeah, you know, stress is always this time of year.
I think moms feel that specifically a little bit more too,
because there's lots more parties and there's lots more things
to think about. But the other thing that I'm experiencing
this year is grief. You know, I am losing my dog,
and so it's very very interesting to see how that

(42:43):
stress has even been compounded by losing a pet. But
I'm sure it's also compounded for those out there that
have lost family members. You know, this is a time
when you are missing people. But I want to say
too that the wonderful thing to do is to and reflect.
I think that that has really helped me, and I

(43:04):
encourage other people to do that as well.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
A lot of people talk about holiday patterns. Be careful
of holiday ruts because it's easy to get into old patterns,
mercy creating new ones. Time management becomes really important.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
Yes, of course, And I mean that schedule is one
thing that you know, mamas live by basically, so you know,
make sure that you're putting it into your schedule, make
sure that you are giving yourself enough time to get
things done.

Speaker 5 (43:29):
You know.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
One of the things that I really really work on
is making sure that I have enough time to prep
for everything, and I think that that helps me really
help the house move smoothly, especially during the holidays. I
feel like that's even.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
More important mercy. If you start out out of control,
it's only going to get worse. The more out of
control you are, the more out of control you're going
to be, because it's just going to snowball on you.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
Absolutely, absolutely yeah. And that's when sometimes stopping and really
taking a deep breath, really trying to think through logically
the things that you need to get done and making
sure that you're doing that, but also making sure that
you're being present with your family. Sometimes mama's especially, we
tend to be so focused on what's the next thing
we got to do, the next thing, we got to
get everything done, but sometimes it's best to just stop

(44:16):
and reflect and to really have time with your family.

Speaker 1 (44:20):
I heard that TRIPLEA said eighty two million Americans we're
traveling fifty miles or more during the Thanksgiving Day holiday season,
and think about that number only amping up as you
look toward Christmas. Mercy, you guys made a big trip
down to Florida. You got to make a big trip
back home. Talk to us about Hey, when you're in
the car with kids, I mean, whoa, yes, woe.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Is a good way to describe it.

Speaker 4 (44:46):
You know.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
One of the things that we're doing this year is
our kids have really started to enjoy music, so we're
going to be doing a lot of singalongs and things
like that to just really keep them engaged. But the
other thing that I really recommend is books. If you
can get your child to listen to books maybe in
the car, or even have books that they are able
to read, that's really really helpful. And for those older kids,

(45:09):
you know, sometimes it's really really great to have some
of those learning paths, you know, things that they can
draw on or really engage their mind. But also remember
that communication, just talking about the things that they're excited about.
Are the things that they're looking forward to, or even
just how their day was, can really really be beneficial
and help that time to go.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
Chursie, We've talked about this many times, but it seems
like during the holidays, tension goes up and families actually
tend to fight more. I use that word carefully, but
I mean, hey, they mix it up. There's just probably
a combination of everything from excitement to the insanity of
everything we got to do and all the pressures are

(45:51):
coming against us. But what do you? What are you?
What are your words for families during this time?

Speaker 2 (45:57):
I really think that it's really important to live, you know,
really stop and listen to what the other person is
trying to say, you're trying to communicate, and not just
listen to the words, but listen to the heart behind
those words. I really feel like that's been very, very
beneficial because if you do that, if you really stop
and you listen and you listen for what they're trying

(46:18):
to say, I feel like the fight kind of dissipates
because you understand that they're wanting your good, You're wanting
your good. It's just you may be going about in
two different ways.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
Mercy Family traditions are so significant. People are really realizing
they're the glue that hold families together. But it's tough
to have traditions when it seems like everything's coming against
us or working against our love and our connectedness as
a family. What do you guys do? What are some

(46:49):
of your insights with thoughts for people out there, especially
if maybe things are changing or have changed for them.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
Yeah, things are definitely changing for me. I mean, my
girls are getting so they're getting more engaged in different things,
and we have a lot more responsibilities, so that's been
a big difference for me. But I think one of
the things that I highly recommend is that you have
a few traditions, maybe one or two, that those are
the things that you'd never let go of. For our family,

(47:17):
we love making kolach. That is something from my husband's family,
and that is something that we don't let go of.
We make sure that we try to do that every
year and again. It's a tradition that comes down from
his family, from an older generation, and I think that
that's one of the things that's really helpful, is we're
connecting our kids back to their history and helping them
remember and understand that family is important and that runs deep.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
Mercy. Before we go, I wanted to spend some time
just talking about maybe some doctor Mercy Connor's tips, especially
as it relates to our children. We know our kids
are going through a lot of challenges, There are a
lot of pressure points in their life. Mental health issues
are off the charts. Devices, by the way, while they

(48:02):
can be immense valuable for good, they also can bring
a lot of devastation to kids, and kids wind up
being bullied or isolated or lost in their devices. Just
take us down some take us down the road to
what really works? And what are you recommending to families?

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Oh, I'm going to give you two tips this year.
The first tip is to pick only a few things
to make sure that you do this year. You know,
sometimes we feel like we've got to do everything, go
to every party, go to every event during this holiday season.
And I want you to remember that even though the
events are wonderful, sometimes the stress involved and that is

(48:43):
overwhelming for your children. So I would highly recommend you
pick two or three something that's really really important to you.
Focus on those two and three, and then if you're possible,
go to the other ones. My second tip is to
really have quality family time, so that means putting those
devices away, doing a board game, read a book. Even

(49:07):
those holiday movies are really really great, but highly recommend
that you have that time where you're really connecting with
your family. You got to remember, even though you know
this time of year is often around gifts and events
and fun and baking and all of that stuff, you
want to make sure that you're connecting with your family.
So make sure that you are dividing your time in

(49:29):
a way that is giving your attention to your.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
Children hercy before you go keeping christ thing Christmas. You
know me, I love the holidays. We do everything you
can do. We celebrate every way you can, but making
sure that the kids don't miss what Christmas is all about.
Any direction there thoughts that could really be of help to.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
Families, Yeah, I highly recommend, of course, talking about the
Christmas story. I think that's one of the most important
things helping them remember that. Also, one of the things
that we love doing is that when we run around
and look at Christmas lights, we are always trying to
spot the nativities and that is really really important because
it really reminds our children that the real reason for

(50:18):
this Christmas time is that Jesus came to this earth
and that he lived the perfect life and he died
on the cross for our sins, and that we can
have that relationship with him because he did that for us.
And so you always want to keep reminding your children
of that, not only remind them, but also tell others,
because it's so very important that your children see that
you are speaking about not only the Christmas story, but

(50:41):
also the Salvation story as well with others.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
Doctor Mercy Connor is always great to have you. Thank
you for joining me.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (50:52):
For more encouragement and to stay connected. Follow doctor Tim
Clinton on Facebook, Instagram, and x. We love being a

Speaker 1 (51:06):
So as a wrap up Thanksgiving in head towards Christmas again,
what are you thankful for? I know some of you
are asking, how do you give thanks when life's not
the way it's supposed to be. Here's a simple way again,
make a list of five things this week and take
time to thank God for them, each one of them
every day this week. Watch how it begins to change

(51:29):
and transform you and your holiday season. Remember this wise
men still seek him. I'm doctor Tim Clinton. Thanks for
watching to see you next week on Sunday, The Road
Fold Hey by God.
