the judge has been extremely unfair in this case. And

and to find a way out into another building. And

And he reduced violence in New York City by as
much or more than my two previous police commissioners, who

history of America. So this was a And then he
went and volunteered in Iraq in order to try to
put the police together there. And I talked to him
on the phone, and I would hear gun shots in
the background.

like their judges for the entire United States as opposed
to just their district.

But with that, we're deporting a large number.

Of people every day, and most importantly, nobody's coming in.
And that's not just our security at the border. That's
the turn effect that we've sent all over the world.
It's not a happy thing coming into the United States. Now,
before you were being escorted by our people. Unfortunately, our

border patrol became an escort service for drug dealers. Rapists, murderers, nowns,
we keep them out and when we get them and
they may go to El Salvador. So never discounted to
turn effect where the criminal wars involve. It's really at

the basis of why we have so much crime in
all these democratic cities.

And the funniest thing is they apported for us, but
they weren't expecting that.

and in case bail was denied, what we would have
to do, and having him there, you know what it's like,

This week, the funeral is going to be it's going
to be I think, I don't know if it's going
to announce ye, but official commissioners type uh and and
I take it you're gonna you're gonna give one of
the eulogies since since at the most important inflection point
you he was there with you as your ringman.

It'll be at Saint Patrick's ten o'clock on Friday, and
that is a going to be a traditional uh, what
we call commissioner's funeral, which the highest level funeral New
York City can can give. Be the same Mayor would
have and Mayor Adams has been more than generous and

kind in the way in which he's taken care of
the family.

They are in shock, and when.

The police commissioner personally gets involved to help them, it
means like you should know that Bernie and Mayor Adams
were friends way back when they were cops together and
it remained through all of the different political machinations and

about police shootings and Bernie was able to really solve
a lot of the problems in terms of the disconnect
between the black community and the police department. And in
the last couple of years of my administration, although we

some very good relations and a.

if you were talking this morning about this situation with Russia.

Well I would.
Speaker 9 (36:37):
I would say, if I'm right, it's been played just
absolutely right. We have not We're not doing all of
complaining this morning. You also note that this was a
one year operation. Can't be that we missed a one
year operation planning something as sophisticated as this. So I
(36:58):
think this is a this is a way of hitting
Putin really hard. We we He knows, of course that
Zelenski's not going to do this without Trump's approval, and
it still maintains the ability for Putin and Trump to
communicate with each other. If this doesn't work, I think
Putin is going to look at a lot worse than this.
(37:20):
And also they're calling it the Russian Pearl Harbor. It's
hardly the Russian Pearl Harbor. We weren't attacking Japan for
two and a half years before they hit us. We
didn't attack Japan at all. I mean, they've been hitting
they've been hitting Ukrainian sittings and killing Ukrainian baby.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
Hold it, but it is. It is the Russian Pearl Harbor,
because what happened in Pearl Harbor? What did your moto
say on the on the deck he said, he said,
we have we've we've awakened a sleeping giant. What happened
at that? It ended with the fire bombing of Tokyo,
ended with the fire bombing of every major city, burned

him to the ground, and then drop a couple of
nukes on him so that we didn't have to invade
and broke them. Yeah, so let's say it is the
Pearl Harbor. How did that? How did that? How did
that end for the attacking forces?

Well? Okay, not well, Rudy, talk to me, Talk to
me about Bernie Carrott. Nobody he was America's cop, you
were America's mayor. We just lost one of the great ones,
one of the great Maga patriots. Tell me about Bernie.

This was a really exceptional American, an exceptional patriot, a
guy that was there just at the right time. I
probably know that better than anyone, because he was instrumental
in saving my life and forty other people that were
trapped in a building for thirty minutes right after the
right after the first building came down, I was in
(38:48):
a building. He had set up the the communication so
we could get to the White House. I had actually
gotten through, gotten a little information from one of the
staff member, and I was waiting for a call back
from Vice President Shaney when all of a sudden, our
building got rocked like.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
It was an earthquake. Everybody went under the table.
Speaker 9 (39:11):
We were stuck in the building for thirty minutes, had
to really do a lot of moving around through rubble
and to find a way out into another building. And
Bernie's Bernie's inability to be frightened about anything sure helped
to keep everyone under control because we had some pretty
(39:33):
you know, nervous people.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
And then we went right out.
Speaker 9 (39:38):
Into a situation where people were getting hit in the head,
and he was leading the pack. Now, I have to
say all throughout he was at my side, whole had
understood what to do, natural instinct for law enforcement. And
(39:58):
before that, he reduced violence in Riker's Island by ninety percent,
documented by sixty minutes, if anybody wants to ever question it.
And he reduced violence in New York City by as
much or more than my two previous police commissioners, who
were considered to have done things that were impossible. We
(40:18):
eventually reduced crime altogether more than any city in the
history of America. So this was a And then he
went and volunteered in Iraq in order to try to
put the police together there. And I talked to him
on the phone, and I would hear gun shots in
the background.
Speaker 1 (40:41):

to a break. America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the greatest mayor
in the history of New York, talking about his wingman,
the police Commissioner, Bernie Kerrick. Back in a moment.

day is over. They're gonna be rolling people up. Rudy,
give me your thoughts on how you think DHS is

doing now and working. You see right there, they get
US attorneys, they've got the local people. We've just had
the situation in Texas trying to get the sheriffs involved.
How do you think Homeland Security doing on the deportations.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
I think they're.
Speaker 9 (41:49):
I think they're doing miracles, even with the even with
all the judicial intersurance, which is almost historic in nature.
I mean it's eighty ninety judges have gotten involved, acting
like their judges for the entire United States as opposed
to just their district.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
But with that, we're deporting a large number.
Speaker 9 (42:13):
Of people every day, and most importantly, nobody's coming in.
And that's not just our security at the border. That's
the turn effect that we've sent all over the world.
It's not a happy thing coming into the United States. Now,
before you were being escorted by our people. Unfortunately, our
(42:37):
border patrol became an escort service for drug dealers. Rapists, murderers, nowns,
we keep them out and when we get them and
they may go to El Salvador. So never discounted to
turn effect where the criminal wars involve. It's really at
(42:58):
the basis of why we have so much crime in
all these democratic cities.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Nobody's afraid.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
It's been a tremendous deterrent. This is why the borders
closed before before you bounce, you and Bernie during during
the attack on New York City really were uh gave
the country a level of comfort that people were actually
in charge and you get things done and sort this mess out.
But over the last ten years or so, as you

particularly become involved with President Trump and Bernie did too,
became one of the stalwarts of the MAGA movement. Walk
me through. Have Bernie had your back in this entire time?
Because you know, Bernie and Eric Prince were the two
guys that escorted me up to the prison action to
the UH to the entry hall of the prison at
Danbury and the prison people were like sitting there. Got

America's biggest mercenary and Eric Prince in America's biggest hammer
in Bernie Kerrick. How did Bernie have your back? Over
the last couple of turbulent years for Rudy Giuliani, it.

Meant all the It meant the world to me. I mean,
he's uh.
Speaker 9 (44:03):
I mean even on September eleventh, I described described it
as I was standing on the shoulder of shoulders of giants,
and I meant him, my fire commissioner, and my and
my head of emergency services.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
These guys were I mean, it's like what you want
in the war. Uh.
Speaker 9 (44:21):
They weren't afraid of anything. And here I've been going through,
you know what what you've been going through. And Bernie's
been right there every minute trying to figure everything out.
Speaker 3 (44:30):
When I when I had to go, when I had
to go.
Speaker 9 (44:32):
Report in Fulton County into the Worth jail in the country,
Bernie figured it all out, told me how to handle it,
what to do, what was going to happen. I mean,
they put us through like a little bit of a
torture chamber, getting getting to get our prints done and
(44:53):
our pictures taken. We went past about five lines of inmates.
And the funniest thing is they apported for us, but
they weren't expecting that.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (45:04):
They were hoping that we would get things thrown at
us and Bernie had us ready for the whole thing
and in case bail was denied, what we would have
to do, and having him there, you know what it's like,
have you know Bernie, Having him there just makes you
more confident, makes you braver.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
This week, the funeral is going to be it's going
to be I think, I don't know if it's going
to announce ye, but official commissioners type uh and and
I take it you're gonna you're gonna give one of
the eulogies since since at the most important inflection point
you he was there with you as your ringman.
Speaker 9 (45:44):
It'll be at Saint Patrick's ten o'clock on Friday, and
that is a going to be a traditional uh, what
we call commissioner's funeral, which the highest level funeral New
York City can can give. Be the same Mayor would
have and Mayor Adams has been more than generous and
(46:08):
kind in the way in which he's taken care of
the family.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
They are in shock, and when.
Speaker 9 (46:14):
The police commissioner personally gets involved to help them, it
means like you should know that Bernie and Mayor Adams
were friends way back when they were cops together and
it remained through all of the different political machinations and
when I became one of the reasons I picked him
(46:35):
was because we had gone through two or three demonstrations
about police shootings and Bernie was able to really solve
a lot of the problems in terms of the disconnect
between the black community and the police department. And in
the last couple of years of my administration, although we
(46:55):
had had some bad times at the beginning, we had
some very good relations and a.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
Lot of that I had to do.
Speaker 9 (47:00):
It is a post personal relationship with Adams, who endorsed
me familiar way back then.

Well, this is in the middle of a tough fight. We're
