Speaker 1 (00:03):
Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King.
I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your
favorite shows from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, New Jersey
and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and
Bell Collective. Every episode we recap reality television from the
Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in

(00:27):
addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or
scripted as well. Hey, rain drops, on today's episode of
Reality with the King, we have to get into the finale.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Part three of the Real Housewives of Miami.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Okay, so this reunion could have been two parts, child
no shade.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Not sure we needed three parts.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
But after a Haitian mertician and has raised the bar
in Sweet Little Puss, perhaps they had to stretch the
reunion the way Julia was stretching Audriana allegedly allegedly. I'm
just saying, just saying, a lot of stretching going on,

(01:20):
but let's get into it. Speaking of another stretch, this Lisa,
Larsa and Jody's storyline has run his course. However, I'm
happy that the girls resolved it so as we all know,
Marsa and Lisa's biggest beat this season had a lot
to do with the fact that Lisa was still following

(01:43):
Larsa's ex boyfriend, Marcus Jordan, the son of the legiondary NBA.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Superstar Michael Jordan.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
It was a big conversation about some form of girl code,
which is, when your girl breaks up with her guy,
do you also break up with him on Instagram. The
answer to that question to me is yes, especially with
the way Marcus was allegedly handling Larsa, whether it was.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
In Lars's words, harassment on social media, it thinks of
that nature.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Because of that, I thought, yeah, there's no allegiance, there's
no alliance with the ex. Your relationship with your girl
needs to be the one you're concerned with, not being
friends with the son of.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
An Indian legend.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Because of that, I always felt that, look, you can
say which one about Larsa. I felt that Larsa was
in the right and I still feel that way. I
still feel that way now, whether or not the world
feels that Larsa was inappropriate for telling Lisa, well, why
are you on this trip?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Her father's dying. Go be with your father. Now, everyone handles.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Your sick parent who may be dying differently. And I'm
not here to judge Lisa or her decisions. Larsa's statement,
I'll be it harsh. Some people felt like, well, yeah,
if your father is on his deathbed, why are you
out the country. The thing with Lisa that she admitted

(03:30):
is the fact that she does have this very complicated
relationship relationships excuse me, with her father. So because of that,
maybe that played a huge role in the fact that
she wasn't immediately by his side. Now, to send your
girlfriend a picture of your deceased father is definitely morbid,

(03:52):
kind of disgusting just to prove a point.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
But that's Lisa and that's why we love her.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
I am happy that Larsa decided to go backstage and
apologize not only to Lisa, but she also apologized to
Jody and his bulging eyeballs. That to me really displayed that, look,
lars is over it, and Larsa was to me a
really good friend to Lisa, especially when Lisa was going

(04:20):
through her divorced with Lenny. So I don't want people
to have short term memory when it comes to the
fact that, look, I think both of these ladies could
have handled things differently this season, but I think from
the onslaught of it, all of this could have been
prevented if Lisa just unfollowed Marcus. That to me was simple.

(04:46):
It was that simple. But listen, they got over it.
I'm happy with that.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
The other thing that I'm also happy we got over
is cake gate. To see Audriana cry to tears talking
about she had to celebrate her birthday since she was fifteen.
I'm like, okay, girl, you need to tell me, since
you were fifteen years old, you felt old. I love Audriana,
I love her down and I'm fighting for her to
get a mohito this performance, because that's exactly what it was,

(05:20):
a performance of her crying instead of demitting that. Look
you called key key ratchet when Marsall dropped dime on
Adriana at the finale, saying, look, I told you to
say you said ratchet.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Because I need for you to leave me alone.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
So the fact that Audrona's crying and she's like that
really hurt me. Calling me old, and then you saw
like Lisa leave her seat to go hug Adrianna.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
The alliance too much for me.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
It wasn't that serious, It wasn't that deep. It just
wasn't It wasn't It wasn't you said a ratchet Kiki
got in your ask the way she should have, because
that was definitely microaggressions. You cannot call a black woman ratchet,
especially with Adriana. You are the most ratchet person on
the show. Hey, look, that is not shade. That is fact,

(06:15):
and I love it and I love you. The most
ratchet person on Miami Housewives is the person who writes
a letter on behalf of their liver, a person who
gives another housewife a box of her dead heart. These
are all things I love and enjoy.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
And it's ratchet, it really is. So that was that,
But once again, I'm happy that that's over.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Gertie has a health update and she decided not to
go with the multiple reconstructive surgery because Russell said that, Look,
I am satisfied with the way you look, and that
is why Russell is the best house husband on the franchise,
and it.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Was nice to fact that.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Look, Russell being backstage with his wife and being there
for her throughout the typerunion and not even being brought
out to the show really shows his devotion to Gerty.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Gerty, that's a good man.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
That is a really good man, and that is somebody
that really should also get props for just being a
devoted husband, because Baby, let me tell y'all something, there's
a lot of husbands who refuse to go to the reunion,
especially when they are not getting paid, especially when they
don't have to be there.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Because they're not being featured.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Russell being there backstage with his wife for that twelve
hour shoot is the.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Man that we all need.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Gerty a good one's sister, Keep him now, everybody made up.
Stephanie also mentioned how you know the experience of the
Real Housewives of Miami was the top five best experiences
of her life.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
I like Stephanie on the show. I think she's great.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
I will say this, as much as I love Miami,
I definitely think.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
We need a recast. But let me know what y'all think.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
I think we need to replace two of the housewives.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
We do we do, we just do. Something big has
to happen.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
I think Stephanie was a great addition to the show,
and I think Stephanie is somebody that really has the
potential to be the future of the show. I think
she has a personality, she has the wealth, she has
the lifestyle, She's a strong woman. I would love to

(09:06):
see doctor Nicole come back. I think that would be great.
To see Stephanie in the call. I think would be genius.
So I'm definitely fighting for that to happen. But I
definitely think we need to lose two ladies. So rain drops,
y'all lay me on the comments and on Twitter time,
who do you think the two ladies should be that

(09:27):
should leave?

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Because I definitely think.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
It needs to be two. And the reason why I
think it needs to be two is because I just
think based on the amount of housewives that showed hass
and the amazingness of the friends of the show, Murra,
saw Keki and Audriana, who I will go on record
saying this, those three should stay. But I definitely think

(09:52):
we need to make move. You know, we need to
make room for more we do. It's it's.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Longer to do.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
It's longer to do, and it's something to where you
need to be able to just inject some new blood
into this. So that is not something where people feel
like we're getting.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
The same old, same old. Oh that's my fear when
it comes to Miami.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
It's a great show, it's a great cast, but I
think it's the time to like really let some people go.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Update for you all. So Julia has.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Decided to seek treatment for PTSD after what was revealed
on Miami Housewives. So Julia revealed the People magazine that
after watching the first two parts of the reunion, although
it was painful, she said it also gave her a

(10:57):
new perspective and poth the People magazine, Julia said, it
was very emotional. Reliving those moments is really hard, but
it also made me think and suf reflect the beauty.
As hard as reality television can be, is that it
can be a pathway for personal growth and sub reflection,

(11:20):
and if you are honest with yourself and with your audience,
it can actually be believe me or not quite a
healing experience. It helped me to grow as a woman,
as a mother, as a wife. I'm still unpacking a lot.
I care a lot of guilt about it and a
lot of pain because it can be really hard to

(11:42):
look at yourself in the mirror and not like the
person you see. But doing that has really helped me
see that I need help.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
So there you go PTSD.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Now.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Look, a lot of people on social media has said,
Julia girlby seeking treatment for PTSD is just a way
of you trying to get your job back. There's people
who think this may be Julia's last season, and there's
people on social media who are saying this is a
way for her to come out on top and possibly

(12:27):
get her job back. One thing that Julia did say
before I get my opinion, she said that I'm seeking
treatment for my PTSD because I need to finally deal
with things I've buried for years. This is deep work
and I can't do it alone. I may be a

(12:48):
strong woman, but I'm not one the woman. I'm human.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Okay, So look, I definitely think that has a lot
of PTSD for sure. I actually believe.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
She does, based on the actions that she displayed, not
only with Gerty but also at the reunion. I don't
know where it's come from because of Julia that we
all fell in love with. Seasons Well, I'm not gonna
say season what her first season brother when the show
came back. That isn't the Julia that we have seen

(13:24):
in the past two seasons. Something has been off about her,
just you know, being honest, something definitely has been off.
So the fact that she is seeking some sort of treatment,
I am curious what that treatment looks like.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
I don't know there's rehaf for PTSD, baby, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Something has to give, because listen, I said this last week.
I love Julia. I have a chance to meet her,
hang out with her. She's a great girl. I do
think that Julia is a serial cheater, and just like
a man, let's have a real conversation. When a man
is a serial cheater, you do sometimes wonder what mentally

(14:10):
is this man going through to where he just.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Can't keep his dick in his pants?

Speaker 3 (14:15):
And I think with Julia, what is happening to where
you can't keep your fingers to yourself? Insert lesbian relationship,
sexual relationship joke there. Okay, you can't keep your fingers
to yourself, girl, and you can't keep coffee making to yourself.

(14:35):
So something has to give, right. I think Martina is
a great woman just based on what we've seen now.
Martina has definitely says the things child that I'm like
problematic much. But you can tell that Martina loves Julia.
I am curious to what's happening in their marriage. Based

(14:59):
on the revelation that Julia has display at the reunion,
I still don't think Julia told Martina about the Haitian
mortician and the cop. I think Martina found it out,
possibly after the reunion was taped to get in front
of it. So something has to be going on with Julia.

(15:26):
So that's why I do think a treatment is the
right thing to do. Whether that's therapy, I don't know
what else can happen. Like I said, I don't know
if there's a Betty Ford for PTSD baby, but whatever
it is, I'm here for it. Go to Arizona, a
wellness center, something, because something has to give. And look,

(15:51):
maybe Julia will discover she does need to be married.
That's a huge possibility. It's unfortunate because she did just
adopt two boys and that is something that takes a
lot of support, so being single with that is an ideal.

(16:15):
But I do believe in in order for a child
to experience happenings in the home, the parents have to
have a happy, healthy relationship. So kudos to Julia for
seeking treatment. Now, Julia, let me know child, whether it's

(16:35):
the baby Ford, a PTSD baby.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
What can it be These are things that I just
need to know.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
One more Bravo update in regards to Miami Housewives I
want to talk about before I end this podcast is
the fact that Alexias ex husband Todd has filed a
ten million dollar defamation lawsuit against Bravo Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Todd half alleged.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
That he was defamed and that his name and likeness
were used without authorization during the past two seasons of
the Bravo series Okay. He filed a defamation laws still
against Bravo, NBC Universal Media, and the producers of the
or the production company of the show. He is seeking

(17:27):
a combined eleven million dollars in damages. So as you
all know, Alexi and Todd were together for seven years.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
They got married in.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
December of twenty twenty one, and Todd fought for divorced
three years later.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Their divorce was finalized in March of this year.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
He filed the defamation lawsuit on Tuesday, October seventh, alleging
that he was a famed during the past two seasons
of the Bravo series. He claims that defamatory statements falsely
portrayed him as financially irresponsible or suffering from financial distress
despite his multi million dollar real estate portfolio and longstanding

(18:14):
business relationship. He alleged that his name and likeness were
featured on the show without his consent. He is seeking
one million dollars in damages on this second claim. He
is also requesting a jury trial. His attorney, Scott Weiselberg,
said in a statement obtained by People that this lawsuit

(18:38):
represents an opportunity for Todd Napola to set the records
strate and hold the defendants accountable for their intentional and
reckless disregard for the truth.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Enough is enough, shout out to j low enough. Okay,
these are my thoughts.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Todd won't be getting a dime child.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
I'm just let's just say, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
When you are on the show, you sign a release.
You're signing away for the show.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
To be able to tell a story or in some
people words, portray you or the way you portray yourself
in a way that obviously is accurate based on what
the story is, and other people are able to talk
about you in a way that they seem fit.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Now, look, anybody can suit anybody, so that's not anything new,
but an appearance release, which Todd has signed during his
time on the show.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
It does cover you.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Not only for the season you were on, It can
also cover you for future seasons in some cases. In
some cases, the reason why I don't think Todd he
had done is because Todd would have to show proof
that these defamatory statements impacted his job. He would have
to show that he has lost money because of it.

(20:12):
He would have to show that he has lost businesses
because of it. I don't think anybody has refused, in
my opinion, allegedly to work to not work with Todd.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Based on what was said on.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
The show and based on his wife's experience. In the
lady's experience with Todd, I didn't see anything defamatory, you know,
saying that he's an asshole, saying that he's mean to her,
they don't like him. Those are statements that can result

(20:48):
in eleven million dollars his financial history. Those are all
opinion based. But the thing is this, these are things that.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Are his ex wife experience in terms of I believe
she said, you know, she talked about the way he
laughed with the son.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
I believe being home allegedly, you know, I just don't
think these are things that a jury by trial is
going to say, Okay, here's elevenmion dollars.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
What we did see with Black China. Black China sue
the Kardashians.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
You know, she said that they prevented her show, Robin
China to have a season two, and that went jury
by trial and she lost. It's very hard to prove
in a court of law. So look, I think Todd
obviously isn't happy with it, which I can understand, right,

(21:56):
but you signed the release and because that, I just
don't think there's anything in a court of law that
is going to make anyone say, okay, let's give him
eleven million dollars.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
But we shall see, we shall see.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
