favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey
and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and
Bell Collective. Every episode we recap reality television from the
Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset. In
(00:27):
addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or
scripted as well, we are.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Celebrating the legacy of the.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Carol.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Listen, baby, well, you know I got to keep it together.
What else can I do? I can only fall apart
for like two days and have to pull it all
the way back together.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
You're not falling apart, are you?
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Absolutely not. But what I mean is.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
I have no room to not sorry, have it together.
I only can have it together. So I can only
have a couple of days where I'm just looking a mess.
But Carlos, I have to be that bitch.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
And you will forever be that bitch. You are that bitch.
And listen, thank you so much for surprising me with this.
Me me because listen, but the I'm not you know me,
I'm I'm I'm a lead bro.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
I'm a little softy and you're my Sagittarius sister.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
So yeah, you know are you.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
That air sign?
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Where? Who? Terris? Aren't we water signs? I don't know
what we are, but I know one thing. If you
try us, we are to stop signs. How about that?
Get into that?
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Yes, So look I got I'm gonna tell you all
my business.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Okay, let me hear.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I love you.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
My fear is the erasure of Meani Lee's legacy. This
is just my This is what I've been feeling over
the past couple of days.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
I have been emotional. I was gonna call you, and
then I'm like, I don't even know what.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
To say to this woman, to talk to her because
this is all just be based on my spirit and
I'm not gonna cry right now.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
But for me, I got emotional seeing you know, the
girls being celebrated, and it's well deserved. It's well deserved,
and we love all the girls.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
But for me, I thought about you heavily, and I
just want to know how you are doing and when
you were seeing things that happened the weekend and pictures
and photos like Bravo Khan all that stuff, you know,
how are you and what were you and how did
you feel?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
I'm doing good, by the way, And for those who
know me well, know that I don't watch TV. I
do watch social media, however, and I click on everything
that sent to me.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
So I follow Bravo TV, follow Bravo watch what Happens Live.
I follow all those other blog sites like the Bravo
Shade Room and the Real Housewives and just everybody, just
all the bloggers. So I saw a lot of stuff. Also,
people were dm and me. People who were there who
know me personally were texting me and that kind of stuff.
So I understand how you feel because a lot of
(03:34):
people were texting me and felt the.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Same way that you felt.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
I personally think it's impossible to erase something.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
This kind of legacy. It's impossible.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
I mean, we can pretend like I wasn't there day one,
but I will be one and the only one. Okay,
I was day one and so were you. Ye, So
I was day one. And listen, I'm not saying that
the other girls don't deserve to be applauded.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
They do.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Everybody put work in, but you know, it is what
it is. I was day one and that's just what
it is. Yeah, and so they were celebrating a lot
of people who came after me, and but that's okay.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
Andy revealed that you and him I have been texting,
you know, he was asked about you say obviously whatever
you feel comfortable saying, but you two have been texting,
according to him. If so, do you want to share
what I've been testing about or how you guys came
(04:45):
to that.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Well, we haven't text about my return or me doing anything.
Most of you guys know that my son was sick,
and so he was texting me about my son being sick. Okay, Yeah,
which was very nice gesture and a very nice text message.
But yeah, we've text before that though we actually text
(05:13):
months before that, so you.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Know, listen, I mean, everybody want.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
To ask me about you know, Andy, And I'm not
holding any grudges over here. I'm also not that kind
of person though, I'm not saying that you can do
anything to me, and I can forgive you, but I'm
definitely the kind of person who doesn't hold grudges forever.
To me, that takes a lot of energy. I'm just
(05:39):
not into it. Everybody moves on when they feel they
need to move on. So I feel like I've yield
from the situation. So I'm in a good place.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Yeah, and I know personally you are in a good place.
Are you in a good place to where you want.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
To return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta at some point?
Speaker 4 (06:06):
You know, I don't know what that would look like
with Niemi Lee's returning to the Real Housewives.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
I don't know why, but Brandon will go up. Baby.
I just know this. I know that I have a story.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
I don't think that the fans have really seen or
heard from me since a lot of things have happened
in my life. So I definitely have a story, and
I have always had a story every single season that
I was on.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
No, I was telling the audience meaning that you know, look,
I said to the world on my Patreon, I'll say
it to you, to your faith.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
When it comes to you.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
I would tell people, unless you know what it's like
to be a black woman in her thirties, Yeah, on
this show that thought there was going to be an actress,
and then all the show came about and within a
few months you are the most famous black reality star
in the world. And then you became the most famous reality.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Star in the world.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Ye that isn't an instruction manual that one had to
to to educate you on thame and there, and you
had no mentors.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
You were you were the first.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
And I said to them, Tiffany New York Pollard, she
was on a dating show I'm a Rosa before you.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
She was on a competition show, The Apprentice.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
You were on a document series showing your real life,
and everybody fell in love with you. And I said
to them, it's easy to subject her to should have,
would have, could have? And I said to them, how
about we look back and say, do y'all understand what
it was like to be the first?
Speaker 4 (07:47):
And you had no mentors, non zero, you know, I
you know, I just Carlos. I just really don't expect
people to understand because people just don't get it. They
don't get it. They don't really know what it was like.
They don't even know what I went through.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
You know.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
When I was first approached, I was first approached, not
any of the other black girls in Atlanta. It was
niny Leeks who was approached. I was that girl that
picked up the phone and said, who else can we
get to make this show. Or let me call my
girlfriend Charae girl. Oh, let me call my girlfriend Kim
(08:26):
zos Yay. You know, I actually called these girls up
because they were looking for me, not for them, and
so I referred those girls to be on the show.
And Deshaun Snow, she and I didn't even really have
a relationship back then. I had met her, but I
didn't know her that well. But I reached out to
her and was like, oh my gosh, Desjean, there's this
show and they're looking for girls, and they want me
(08:48):
to have all my girlfriends with me.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
And I called up all of these girls and they
all did a.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Great job, and they've made their own name in their
own way. And I I just think that people don't
understand what it's like starting from zero. I started at zero.
I shot the pilot. I didn't shoot the pilot with
Lisa Woo. She was the first season housewife, but I
didn't shoot the pilot with her.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
They introduced her to me. You know.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
I did shoot the pilot with Charay and Kim, but
I shot it, didn't shoot.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
It with DeShawn.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
There was other girls, and I waited they shot the show.
I did all of those things. You know, I just
had a friend to reach out to me, and we're
feeling like you felt and felt like you know, Nini,
you have more means than anybody.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
I said.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
I have more means in any household. I standing in
the Bravo Khans building. And if you got somebody else
that has more means than me, let me know, correct me.
But I don't think so. I don't expect them to
give me any credits for anything.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
I just don't. I don't expect a lot. I don't.
But we all know what it is, and I think.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
That the viewers who were watching over the weekend, I
think they get it in I understand what it is
as well. But again, I'm in a good place you are.
I don't know if I would ever return. I don't
even know if that opportunity would ever present itself again
to me.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
And that's okay too.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
Do you have when you look back at your life
the moment you started the show season one and yeah,
you became the biggest reality starting the world and on
your road to superstar on We all make mistakes. Do
you have any regrets about how you may have handled
some situations?
Speaker 3 (10:40):
No, I don't.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
I don't have any regrets about anything that happens on
the show. One is because everything happens for a reason,
and things mow you and shape you into the person
that you are. And I've learned from a lot of
the things that I've done or happened to me over
those years. Right, I'm not the only one that had
(11:02):
a lot of tumbles and falls while being on the show.
There's quite a few girls, okay, and some have been
way worse than mine. When I was on the show,
I gave the blood out of my vein. I had
a storyline every single season, and I did not have
a fake story. It was my real story that I
(11:24):
told every single season. I never faked a husband or
a boyfriend. I never faked my children anything they went through.
We went through it publicly, and they got rital cued
the same as I have. I did everything I was
supposed to do. You know, being on the show, it's
not always pretty, you know. I bomped tess with you,
(11:45):
Carlos so many times. I wanted to put you in
the headlock and kill you, you.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Know, but that's all a part of shooting a show.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
For as long as we shot the show, we shot
it for months. People don't understand that when you guys
come into our home, these are our personal homes.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
You have a big footprint, you know.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
You guys step in the door, you have several producers
with you, lots of cameras, catering.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
It's a lot of stuff that's happening in our home.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
We actually create an area inside of our homes where
you guys like y'all use this bathroom, you know, Baliosta,
You know, we have all this.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Kind of stuff. It's a big footprint. We're all learning.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
And then there's times when we don't have good days,
and you as a producer, you guys know when those
days aren't good, those days made good television as well.
So you know, no, I have some of the best
memories that I could ever ask for in my life
being a part of this franchise. You have great memories, too,
(12:43):
don't you. I have the most beautiful memories.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Yes, you know.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
I look back and see my son when he was
in third grade and that you know, it's so cute,
and my oldest son he graduated high school, and just
all of these things that I had that a lot
of people don't have.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
I get to look back over these things.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Uh so, I've had the greatest memories and and and
everybody I worked with. It doesn't matter how many times
we bomb here. I actually have a love for all
of them in my heart. You, all the girls I've
worked with, I have so much love for all of them.
And people send me over the weekend the things Porsche said.
Uh uh, they said, Porsche was giving you a lot
(13:25):
of love. I appreciate you, Porsche, love you.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
We will bump it again. That's okay, We're still sisters.
Giselle Bryant.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
Uh uh.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
They send me things that Giselle was saying.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
You know how much she respects, Nini Leaks, even Andy Cohen.
Words all mean a lot. I appreciate everybody's love and respect.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Let's get back into the show. I know you got
a run because Meini is on the go. Bedch I'm
not gonna, I'm actual.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Not them to go like that.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
But no, no, no, no, no, no no, you got plans.
But look, thank you so much for doing this. This
was not planting rain drops.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
She no, you know, actually some of the raine drops
were texted DM and me said you need to get
on there top of Carlos.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
You need to tell Carlos.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
I said, let me see what is Carlos over there
doing the night and you're over there running your mouth.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Late this time of the night.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
But you know what, Carlos, I just want to say
that I understand how you felt because so many people
felt that way, so many people were I had one
person that's a silence for styling some of the other
housewives and text me while they were there and said, Nini,
I just want you to know that you are an
icon and you are legendary, and don't you ever forget it.
I will never let anybody take from me what I
(14:48):
know it is. I know what this is, and I
know what I did, so it's okay, it really is okay.
Speaker 5 (14:55):
No, I know, I know, I know, And that's the
reason why I wanted people to know, like, look, well
we're watching is a woman who has healed. I told
people the last argument you and I had on your
wedding day, and I but Meini, this.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Is what I said.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
I said, I could have easy walked away and said,
Niani's difficult.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
She didn't give me the money shot. Yeah, yeah, yeah, like.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
How easy how easy narratives could be because me and
you had exchange and it took.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
My friend joy. You know joy. Yes, it's a joy
to say you are being selfish, Carlos King.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
This woman is getting married for the second time to
her husband. She is about to walk down the aisle.
This is a spin off, the pressure of a spinoff,
the pressure of getting married for the second time to
her husband. She has four hundred people waiting for her.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
How dare you make this about you?
Speaker 4 (15:48):
This is how you were trying to get You were
at work, so you're trying to get the shot and
you need to get get Yeni.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
I could have easily if I have somebody check me
and say you are actually being selfish, I could have
walked away with the narrative that Nini's difficult, versus versus explaining, well,
it was her look, it was her wedding day, it
was it was it was the quessures of her span off.
She's the leadst called. So I always say that narratives
(16:19):
can always be changed if you don't hear the entirety
of the conversation. And I want the world to know
that I will always take up for you. I will
always be the most I possible. I don't know what
it's like to be the first. I don't know what
it's like to not have mentors who can.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Say, come here, Chris, Chris Jenner. She Kim had Chris,
her mom, Deonce had her dad. Yeah, Nini had nobody, guys.
I did it was figuring things out. She got these
basketball wives, love and hip hop girls saying.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Nanni, teach us.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
She's like, I can't even I.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Don't know what I'm figuring things out on the job.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
I don't know what I'm doing this day.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
I still have whenever there's a girl going on a
new reality show, I still have them all hit me
up and say, can I consult with you? Even the
housewives that have come to season seventeen of Atlanta, even
the new housewives there, have all reached out to me.
Every single season they reach out to me and say, Hey,
can you consult with me? Can you tell me what
(17:20):
to do? I do not consult with anybody. One thing
I say to them, and I don't say much. I say,
just be yourself. That's the best thing you can do.
I can't tell you how to do reality. You have
to do it on your own terms. And I think
the best thing is just being who you are, and
so yeah, that's what worked for me.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Yeah, I want to ask you a few more questions.
I'm gonna let you go.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
They announced that they're going to do a twenty year
celebration of a show called The Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip,
where they're going to get some of the favorites of
the Housewives franchise to go on the road and visit
all the cities that the franchise was apart. They're going
(18:05):
to start in Orange County and on the East Coast.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Obviously, I remember when you and.
Speaker 7 (18:10):
Cam were y'all had a road Tripshell Green LIGs, and
it made me think of you. Everybody keeps asking Carlos,
do you think Nini would do it?
Speaker 2 (18:21):
I just want to ask you this.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
If you were given the opportunity to do the Ultimate
road Trip with other iconic housewives, would.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
You do it?
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Yeah, it's a possibility. I mean I wasn't against it.
I mean I was against it at some point when
Kim and I were going to do it together, but
I was open to the idea and I continue to
be open to ideas. I'm okay, what the fans have
to know is that It's not like I would I
have been offered all of these opportunities and I'm just
turning opportunities down.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
That's not the case. That's just not the case.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
Yeah, but if the opportunity presents itself, I definitely will
look very closely at it, and yeah, I'm happy to
do it if everything, if it checks out the right boxes.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Why not?
Speaker 5 (19:06):
If you two more questions, if you if you could
create your own all star real Housewives of Atlanta show
past and present Housewives of Atlanta, only, which girls would me?
Me want to be a part of it for you know,
(19:29):
a special if one was given, who would you cheat?
Speaker 3 (19:33):
You know? If we're talking about Atlanta.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
I think that when the viewers are watching the show,
they always some way, somehow want to see me and Kim.
So it's kind of impossible to not put Kim a
part of it because I think people just even love
seeing me and Kim fight. They don't really care how
they see Kim and I as long as they see us,
you know, so even us fighting, We've had some of
(19:56):
the most iconic fights. So I think it has to
be has to start with Kim and I. Let me think, now,
how many of these girls I have to pick.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
You can pick Athamni as you want to. The comfortable
number will be up to eight to make sense.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
Okay, so we have to have Keny Moore. Keny Moore
is iconic in her own way, and uh, I'm happy.
I would love to have her. She's Phajor Parks, uh
Portia Williams uh.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Mm hmm. Past because I don't know all these girls.
Let me bad. Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
You you.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
You know cheray In.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
I think would be a good fight. Yeah, with someone
you know, we don't always get along, but just to
see her eat all the food, you might as well
bring candy to eat everybody's food up and or eight.
Let me see who the eighth person would be. The
(21:12):
eighth person I probably would bring on would be Claudia
so I can punch her in her mouth about that.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Yeah, Claudia, let's go. Yeah girl, I know you want it,
you want it? Yeah, I know you want this. Punch Jevin.
They have to knock little teeth out of mouth.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
Yeah, it's all good. They never ready, but yeah, it's okay.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
That's that's actually an iconic show and I'm gonna watch that.
But what I would want to say, is this.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
What do you want to say Meani, What would you
want to say to your fans, people who are watching,
you know, executives and networks, you know, the industry as
a whole. What would you like to say to all
of these people in terms.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Of like where you are in your life right now?
Speaker 4 (22:20):
You know, it's really funny that I even have to
say something like this. You know I have my work ethic.
Is I have great work ethic. I'm on set, I
do whatever I'm supposed to do. I always have this
famous lineup saying, I show up on set, do whatever
y'all say. I don't want anything.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
To give me my water and a check, you know,
that's all I ask for. But you know, yeah, to my.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
To all of the executives, Oh my gosh, I love
so many of them, And sometimes I sit back and think,
I can't even believe we're in our family because I
love them so much. Like Lauren Essay and like I
loved her, like she was my sister.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Love Lauren, Love Lauren, I.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Loved her and miss her, and all of the so
many of the executives. Honestly that I Lorraine, just all
of these girls. I just loved them all so much,
so it doesn't matter one thing. They can know that
I've grown. I've just moved forward in so many different ways.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
In my life.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
I missed them all and I'm not holding any grudges
and uh so yeah. And to the to the fans
who are watching or that's always speaking out, I love
you and thank you so much for supporting me.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
Always thank you, Carlos. Uh so yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
I mean I I don't have anything to say other
than I love you all, and you know, I wish
and hope that we could move past whatever is holding
us back. I'm not sure what that is, because it's
obviously on the other side, it's not on this side,
because I have been very vocal in saying that I'm
(24:04):
happy to move forward.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
I want to move forward.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
Anything that has happened, we should just bury it and
move on. I'm not the person that's keeping us from
moving forward. I think that's what people should know, because
a lot of people are constantly saying, why don't you
do this, why don't you do that? It's not me
that's doing it. I'm happy to move on. In fact,
it would just be great for all of us to
move on. I think the viewers and the followers, and
(24:33):
I think they all would be super happy to see,
you know, men's expenses.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
And I've actually seen.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
Them men fences with a lot of people that have
done a lot of things. But you know, I'm just
a girl over here with blond hair hunting. I don't
know what's going on.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
I don't know what's going on. But all of them
know me, you know, personally, they all have.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
You know who I am. So I'm okay. Yeah, I
missed to all of you, guys. I miss you, guys,
I really do. I miss you.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Listen, you're my sister for life. I love you. I
will always use my platform to raise you up. I
will always.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
I will always let the world know. I told myself
you need me to talk regularly. And the one thing
I want to grol to know is she is in
such a good place. You guys saw that in our interviews,
me on her show, she on my show, Like MENI
she's living her best life. And I will end by
saying this, it's easy to judge somebody's in terms of
(25:37):
what you think they should have done without walking a
mile in their shoes. And I think when it comes
to this world, all of us, all of us truly
can use a little breaks, a little grace.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
So that we're able to just move forward. Holding grudges,
holding people back.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
Doing all of those things just isn't of service to
the world.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
World.
Speaker 5 (26:00):
And I will continue to use this opportunity to be
of service to the world and needy. I will always
use my life and the breath of my body to
be of service to you.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
So I want to.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Tank you, Carlos. I appreciate you, I love you. You're

love you Andy.
Speaker 4 (26:27):

Andy knows that I love him. Of course, we've had
a fight that was probably be bigger than both of
our houses. But I'm just so not interested to continue
to fight. I'm so happy to move on. I saw
so many girls at the at Rappocon that came down
(26:47):
my timeline. I thought everybody looked great. Yeah, I mean,
what can you say. I mean, it's nothing to say.
