Speaker 1 (00:04):
Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your
favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey
and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and
Bell Collective. Every episode we recap reality television from the
Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in

(00:28):
addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or
scripted as well. Hey Ray drops on today's episode of
Reality with the King, I have a very special guest
because look what's not gonna happen when it comes to
Carlos King, a journalist, Hey Portia is for me to

(00:51):
recap an episode.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Where the elephant was not in the room where the.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Elephant talked about and it was an episode of receipts.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
When it comes to the second episode of season.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Nineteen of The Real house Washing Oris County, and I
could not do this episode alone. So ladies, gentleman, gays
and bays, give a warm welcome for my friend, my love.
I love her so much, she's she's such a good gap.
I want her back on the show. But I got
her back. A Reality with the King give it up

(01:29):
for Alexis Ballino.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Hi, honey, that was so sweet. Ah, it's me huh.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I do, and I've miss every word.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I miss you too. I'm glad to be here today.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I mean, listen, you're a busy woman, obviously, you're a mom,
you are a professional woman as well, and you are fiance.
So how are things going with the wedding planning to
your love my friend John.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
It's going good.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
It's good.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
It's right around the corner.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
And I keep saying that because I'm not letting anyone
know if it's two days or a month, or two
or three months or you know, I'm just giving the
generalities of it's around the corner.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
So yeah, it's really good.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
And I'm a lot less stressed this time doing it
because i feel like, been there, done that, so you
know all the ropes, and you know.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
We have a good wedding planning team with us.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
So it's good, good, good, good good. Well, Look, we
have to get to this season of the Real Housewives
of Alexis Believing. I'm sorry, the Real Housewives of ours
County Alexis your name, she's coming up. So as we
recap episode two, I want to start first by asking
you this, uh huh, do you miss filming?

Speaker 3 (02:45):
No and watching?

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Honestly, I don't watching it right now. Okay, this is
what I wanted to ask you when I knew we
were going to do this podcast. Do you feel like
the show's just missing fun? Like I feel like it's
it's turning into so much of just all this draw
and having us like where's the fun?

Speaker 3 (03:02):
So No, I don't really miss the filming right now.
I'm just being honest.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, no, listen, I will say this, the first episode
I thought was okay.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Because of what you said.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I think for me, first episodes of any premiers are
always difficult because you have to like recap to the audience,
have the episode it is going to be this season.
You have to reset where everyone is in their lives
since we last saw them during the off season. So
the first episodes are always difficult. But look, I definitely

(03:35):
would love to see more fun. But there's a lot
of conversations happening. And Honey, Bunny, you and I may
disagree on this because I know she's your friend, but
you know I'm honest, and in this episode we have
to talk about Katie.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Okay, now, okay, where you going because.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I girl, we just have to get right into it.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
So Alexis Kate to the hot seat this season and
it's only been two episodes and she is at the
epicenter of the drama and you, funny enough, are like
the co star of this invisible person who we can
talk about. But she's not going to defend herself. So
I want you to here to defend yourself. But to

(04:23):
read cap what's going on. Katie is being accused of
talking to bloggers and now we learn in this episode
that Katie allegedly recorded Shannon Badore having a meldown at
the Gallery shoot last season where you were featured. It

(04:45):
has been alleged that Shannon's behavior on set, Alexis was
because you were there and Katie recorded Shannon and she
sent it to you.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Well, here's where that's a little here, here's where it
gets muddled, and here's where you know, it's like telephone
around the room what the truth is and where there's
and then it's just here's he's saying, she's saying.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
It goes all around in circles.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
So first of all, I'm not the one that told
Tama about that Katie had told Tama, and so Tama
came to me when we were just shooting the Wind
one day and said, you know, did you actually hear
that that thing that that Katie recorded of Shannon? Did
you ever actually hear it? And I said yeah, And
I didn't even think anything about it. I didn't think

(05:35):
it was going to be on this season. I didn't
think anything was.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Going to go anywhere. And so Tama had already known
about it from Katie comes to me.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I'm at first I feel bad for Katie because Katie
was not doing anything malicious at all when she did this.
What happened was she was on a phone call with
her husband at a business meeting. They were on a
three way phone call, business meeting. Okay, Katie has to
hang up real quick because Shannon comes in all believe
sticking crazy and did.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Fucking alexaid Melina and fell me, why is she here?

Speaker 4 (06:04):
I heard the whole thing, so she's going whack doodle
job okay, and Katie. The reason Katie recorded it was
because she's like, how am I gonna tell me? How
am I gonna explain this? Like he's not gonna believe me,
So she just recorded it on an audio something.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
It was not a video. By the way, another thing
that's not true. Did I hear it?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Was Jen with me to hear it?

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Yes, we were all at lunch. And so I don't
know why people act like they don't know. It's like,
just own up to the truth. And I think that's
part of the problem with Katie this season is she
hasn't owned up to the truth when the things happen,
but then she owns up later.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
It's like, if we all are.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Growing and learning, right, Carlos, we're all gonna make mistakes.
We're all not the perfect friend, We're not the perfect person.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Just own it and move on. Say you're sorry. If
you really mean it, I mean, you have to mean it.
But like I think that's where.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
It gets kind of a little confusing, and like I
think that's where the girls are right now, is it's like, okay, wait,
but then she goes to cameras and fesses up to
it when she said she didn't do it, but then
she says she did and owns it, and then you know,
the whole video thing though, or the recording of Shannon
was not a malicious or or any ill intent on
Katie's part at all. So I want to clear that

(07:12):
up right now. And I don't think Shannon should be
mad because I'm sorry. You have to learn from your
behavior if you're going to be a psychotic person there
someone hears.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
You on the phone or you know has it on phone.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
It's like, okay, just take accountability for your own actions,
you know. But so I feel really bad for Katie
in this episode and the first one.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
But what do you feel, Carlos. I want to hear
what you think.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I know. Listen, Alexis I disagree with you. I think
Katie did that maliciously. And hear me out, Sister, I
hear I think Katie is shady.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Okay, and that's fair you have that's edis a viewer
you have that you're entitled to have that opinion.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Yeah, right, No, The reason why I love you is
because you and I are able to have of their
reconstructive conversation where we could agree sometimes, disagree sometimes but
always respectful. Hey, listen, the reason why I'm so grateful
and thankful that you decided to hop on today is
because you're actually friends with these women. And I will

(08:14):
always speak on behalf of two sides. The side of
the producer and the side of a viewer as a viewer.
As a viewer, Katie's credibility is shot. And thank you
for clearing up that it wasn't a video, that it
was audio only. But it's one of those things where
you and I agree on this. Katie is incapable. Well,

(08:38):
I'm saying, cable, you did say that, But I wish
Katie would own the truth in the beginning instead of
sitting on it and then revealing it later.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
And that brings me to this Alexis.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Even when she was accused of speaking to said blogger
and she like, no, we dm each other. I never
spoke to her. And in the next episode, in this one,
she said, Okay, I did call her. And I'm like, Katie,
unless you work for nine to one one where you

(09:14):
do speak to random people every day and you don't remember.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
It, I find it hard to believe Katie that you
don't remember talking on the phone to a blogger. Well,
that's where I seem each other.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
I think that's where the women are. You know, I'm
speaking from watching the episode. I want to be you know,
because I am. I am a little bit more in
the circle since I am. You know, do speak to
some of these women still, and I'm good friends with
some of them, and then we're just some of us
are just acquaintances or whatever.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
But so I am a little bit in the middle
of some of it, but in a different way.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
But I'm speaking as a viewer and so taking my
friend and my personal relationship off and talking as a
watching the show person. So I feel like I can
understand why the women are upset because of exactly what
you just said.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
If you do something, own it.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
That's what I started saying with you own it and apologize,
and you're trying to grow and become a better person.
Know that that is something that hurt their feelings and
the women are upset about. But you can't lie and
then come back and say, oh, but yes I did,
and do that multiple times without everyone starting to go,
like the red flags to come up for the other women. Right,
But speaking personally about her, when I say I know

(10:29):
she didn't do it maliciously, I'm letting you know.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
And you can think that she did. I'm letting you know.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
We were very very tight at that time and we're
a little bit more distant now. But she did not
have any ill like she I see where on the
show she comes across like a certain way, but she
does not have a really a mean bone in her body.
I don't truly feel I think she's a kind person.

(10:53):
I think this show ate her alive. I think she
wasn't really ready for what she was getting herself into.
But I also think you need to own your mistakes,
like front up, Like if somebody catches you and you
know you did it, don't lie about it and then
come out and say it, oh, you know, a couple
different times, because your credibility is then everyone gets the Okay,
let me ask you this. If she'd done it once

(11:16):
and then said, Okay, I get it, I'm so sorry,
would you be more uh, let's just say easy on her, Like,
would your feelings be a little bit less.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Harsh about her?

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (11:27):
And I'm going to tell you why. And I'm going
to give you the credit for this too, Alexis you
hit the nail on the head. This show has eaten
Katie alive because she is a deer caught in the
hit lights of what the F did I sign up for?

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Right?

Speaker 2 (11:49):
I don't understand the social experiments of this ensemble show.
I think I think she walked into a world where
she did not know how to navigate it.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
And I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
I don't think Listen, I don't think Katie, by any
stretch of the imagination, is mean. I do believe that
she is incapable of understanding that this show is a
part of your life. And yes, yes, yes, there is

(12:25):
this sort of world where this is my TV life
and this is my real life off camera, and I
and I and I and I respect that too. What
I don't respect is any actions you do off camera,
you have to own it on camera. And I think
that's the sort of like place where you and I
both agree that Katie is feeling at like you live

(12:48):
this life off camera and when you're when you're on
the show, you try to you try to focus more
on how do I address this on the show? Which
my answer to reality stars, which is why I loved
you from the beginning.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
You have to own your ship.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Yeah, anyone, here's the naivity.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
If anyone thinks they're gonna go on a reality show
and they're gonna be able to you know, uh, shove
things under the rug or just cover make a cover up,
or not tell the truth.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
The truth's gonna come out.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
There's no way you're gonna go through an entire season
and not have the reality and the truth come to fruish, right.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
I think I think that might be exactly you.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
You made something kind of perk up in me where
you just said, you made the realization that she she's
trying to make up two separate worlds, like my private
life is my private life and my TV life is
my TV life, And that is a mistake to be
made by anyone that's on a reality TV show, because
I'm sorry, it's all one. It all becomes one, and

(13:50):
you you can't do cover ups. You can't lie, you know.
So I feel truthfully that Katie thought and was very
naive when she thought, you know, that the show was
gonna be one way, and then when you watch it
play back, you're like, oh my gosh, this is this
is what's happening, this is what you know. I just

(14:11):
I do wish she would have just owned up to everything.
And who knows, we got a whole season left, so
we don't know what well this is going. But I
feel bad for her because I do know she's a
lovely person. I do know that she has a heart
of goal that she cares about people. So I feel
bad that it's going this way. But from what I'm watching,

(14:31):
it doesn't seem like the women are going to lighten up.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
That's the thing.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
It's like, it looks it looks bad for her, like
I don't.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Know, yeah, yeah, yeah, And I think I think it's
because if she would have owned the beginning and just
kept because the think is this, you own it the beginning.
And unfortunately, this is what I would have done if
I was on the show. Katie, listen up. As the
king of reality TV is giving you advice? Shell you
come back next season.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
We don't know yet.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
I wi say, hey, guys, State of the Union. This
is all the ship I did off season, and I
was I liked.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
I liked where she said, though Carlo she admitted it.
I like where she said. I I did make some mistakes.
I didn't understand.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
That's that's real. That's being vulnerable, you know, And that's
why Emily gave her some grace.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
You have to own it, right, you have to own it. Now.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
This is the other problem. Let me give you the
other problem with her though. One other thing.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
She freezes up and you can't freeze up as a housewife.
If you're going to be on reality TV, you can't freeze.
And she admitted it in her interview, her confessional on
this last episode, she admitted she's PTSD from her past
life or you know, the things that she's gone through,
And her past is what I meant, not past life,
but things she has gone through in her past. So
the problem is if you freeze every single situation, you

(15:52):
can't get your thoughts out, you can't get across you,
you can't get anything accomplished. And so she has to
find a way for the rest of the sea and
hopefully to stop freezing and speak what you mean and
mean what you say, you know, like get it out,
get the truth out. And but okay, so go ahead,
and you were going to make another point, but I
just wanted to say that. I think that's another part
of her problem, is that she does freeze, and and

(16:15):
you know, it makes me I feel bat she's like
a deer in headlights, you know.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
So she really is, it really is.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
And I think but she's funny Carlos in person, in
person and in life, she's freaking funny.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
Like when we go to start, oh, she says the
funniest stuff, So her confessionals where she's like being witty
and funny, it's true.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Well, I have to see more of that, Alexis girl.
I believe you. But let me ask you this.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Without giving too much away, because it's a lot of
rumors will lie and I'm not here to address any
of those things because I'm only gonna focus on what's
airing on the show.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
But I would like to ask you this, How is
Katie doing today?

Speaker 4 (16:55):
I mean we we've kind of lost touch, like I
said a little bit ago, like me being off this
season and you know, the whole Shannon issue with the
what she recorded, it's kind of made Katie and I
have definitely stepped back from being close however, So I

(17:17):
don't know, but I do know from other housewives that
I do talk to that you know, it was it's
a rough season for her.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
So I don't know how she's doing right now. Personally,
I hope she's okay. I mean it's tough.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
It's tough.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yeah, how is your wedding planning doing now that Shanna
has helped you funded with the sixty thousand dollars seven
and she's dead.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Data say she gave you money, honey, and it's helping
your wedding crowd.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Well, considering she owed us seventy five thousand and we
had to pay attorneys twenty five or thirty, we only got,
you know, we gave her a discount at sixty, so
we made about thirty thousand out of.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
It, you know, but or thirty thousand of it back.
But yeah, so that bought I mean, that's helping.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
What the invitation costs to thank you for that, I guess,
but I mean, or it might have been our family
vacation we took that she got, you know.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
But here's the funny part why this is all so
commical to me.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
So the person who couldn't afford her facelift or her
bills and needed money from my ex husband, my future
I'm sorry, my her ex boyfriend, my future husband is
now saying like acting like she's some god because she
paid us back the money she freaking owed it, Like,
how is that lost on anyone? And then there and
then and then it comes around that John paid John

(18:35):
never paid for anything, She hadn't paid for everything. How
is the person paid for everything needs seventy five thousand
dollars for my future husband how it's just it's I
look at people and I'm like, you're freaking weird, Like
you can't see the reality of this. Like he had
the money sitting there, he gave her the money, she
promised to pay it back. We have the emails to
prove it. So she had to pay him back. And

(18:55):
don't think for one second she wouldn't have written that
check if she didn't know she's gonna lose in court.
So I mean, it's just just all, okay, so move on.
This is such old news.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
I know. I wanted you to clear the air speaking
of old news that her It's a new news. Gretchen
Rossi is back, Alexis, and let me tell you something.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
I like you.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
We're friends with Tamra.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
However, just like Tamra and you, we also appreciate good television.
Gretchen Rossi coming back made me smile from it the air.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
She's gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
There's there's not one person who can get underneath Tamra's
skin the way Gretchen does.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
So it was nice to see Gretchen back. I was
happy to.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
See that she does have a nose. Tamra, I know
you think she air brushes her phones. A lot by
I saw, I saw Nostro okay, so that that may be.
That made me happy to see that, so we.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
Tamra's line was funny though, when she said, uh, hold
on to your face tunes girls or something like that.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
That's a funny lot.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Right, because Tama's infamous lie with Gretchen came on the
show season I think four or three hold on to
your Daddy's girls, here comes Gratch right.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
No, exactly, so now it's hold on to your face
tuned girls, because a decade later here or fifteen years later,
here we are.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
I thought that was so iconic for that this is
reality with the King and I'm Carlos King. Let's get
back into the show.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
This was so interesting with Swamp, like, ah, I want
a Lexus on the show this season, but you're busy
and you're you're in love, so I'm happy for you anyway.
But you're also friends with Gretchen, and correct, Carlos, what
rock have you been under? No? No, I wanted to
clear the air because there was this thing that I saw,

(20:53):
and again I like to clear the air that you
Katie are friendly and that Gretchen is a part of
that too, and that you're friendly with jin And there
were some rumor circulating last season that Gretcha was going
to come back and it's going to come back through

(21:14):
you guys. Did you hear that rumor too?

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Well?

Speaker 4 (21:17):
I did, but it wasn't There's nothing true about that
rumor because Gretchen and I are not Gretchen and I
are not friendly. I mean we might give one little
like high or something, I mean at the most, but no,
because she was one of my very dear friends when
I first got on the show, sure, and I became
fast BFFs. I mean, her and Slade would come over
to Jim in my house while the kids are in bed,

(21:38):
and we'd stay up until two or three, you know,
just hanging out. So we were very tight, and you know,
then the show unfortunately got in between us. But then
I also saw true colors. So and I know, like
the viewers, I'm really intrigued by this whole thing with
Tamara and Gretchen, by the way, because I'm like thinking,

(21:59):
how in the world are they were just gonna both
just like let it go.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Tamra, in my opinion, is and was ready to just
let it go.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
She's just like, can we just move on, like, let's
just fifteen years ago when we talk about that. But
there just still is this animosity between both of them.
So it's gonna be a good season. I thought last
episode was good to watch. I just wish there was
more fun. I wish it wasn't always so heavy and
so much arguing. Like I said in the beginning of this,
but I thought it was a good episode. What did
you What did you think?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
First? Like for the whole episode, I enjoyed the first episode.
I agree with you, I want them more fun. I
really enjoyed episode two. Episode two, I was glued to
the screen because, yeah, listen, Tamra and Gretchen's beef is
sort of like the old school WWE between like Hawk
Hogan and one of his opponents. It was just something

(22:49):
that you were definitely here for and to see them
together make me so intrigued because one of the things
that I want to talk about, it's the fact that
before we get to the Gretchen versus Tamra that sort
of ended the episode when Tamara was talking to Heather
Debro and she you know, Heather mentioned Gretchen and coming

(23:15):
to you know, the launch, Tama made some accusations that
Jennifer wants to be her. Tamra alests that Jennifer moved
a couple of houses down from her a few years ago,
that she started to go at the gym. She was
going to using her pretty much hairstylist. She had plastic

(23:37):
surgery on her face so looked like Tamra. She lost
all this weight. We did see them before and aft
the picture. I think Jennifer's gorgeous. Do you think that
Jennifer wanted or wants to be Tamara?

Speaker 4 (23:57):
You know, I personally don't because I'm Jen, you know,
and we I don't, but I can. They've got such
a beef now that I Jen and Tamra have such
a beef now that I just I don't know that
Tamor will ever give up on that, and she is
going to hold to the fact that Jen does want
to be her. But I personally, as an you know,

(24:19):
outsider looking in I don't think so. I think I
think if anyone wants to change their their looks and
lose some weight and get some longer hair and put
on some makeup and get your lips done like I mean,
we're in California. Carlos, Hello, that's ninety percent of the
people you U see walking down the street, because that's just.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
What Californians do, or blonde, big booms, big lips, and
you know, so I don't know. That's for me, that's
my That's where I stand on it. What do you
think now?

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Lit that Okay, I.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Can see that if what Tamra is alleging is fatuo
in the chronological order, sure there's some sort of like
question marks. They're right, it would appear if that's Again,
I haven't seen Jan's past addresses. I haven't seen any
of these things. But what Tamara's saying is factual in

(25:13):
the sense of the chronological order, then sure there could.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Be some validity to it.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
But what is so interesting is when it comes to
those two, I wanted them to remain friends, and I
think Jenn is the future of OC and I told
Tamar that myself, and Tamer's like, that's your opinion, as
Tama would say, But I listen because ah, Jen to

(25:38):
me is such a fun girl that on the show.
And I know you said Katie's a fun girl, but
I want Jen to have fun and I just don't
think Katie's the right one. I think Jen and tamar
Ca have fun together, but I get to see Jen
and Gretchen together, which to me is going to be
way more fascinating to watch because when they were together.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
With each other's hausbands, that was the fun. I think
you and I are talking about that we needed. Yeah, yeah,
go ahead, yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Just the lightheartedness, just the every day to day living,
not just you know, okay, let's go to this dinner
and have a fight, you know what I mean. Like
it's I don't know, that's that's just my perspective, and
I know people tune in for the drama. I just
feel like even when I was on the show a
decade ago, you know, back in seasons.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Five through eight, there was more fun.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
I feel like the show showed more fun, and you know,
it has it has evolved, which we all all TV
shows evolved.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
But I don't know, that's just my two cents on it.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
I like the like the laughing.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
I like the girls looking like dorks and doing dorky
things and showing true life.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
You know, so you didn't laugh when Emily had the
egg in her purse.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Okay, that was funny.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
I did laugh, But also, who's gonna put a hard
boiled egg, whether it's raw or heart boiled.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Who's gonna put it? You can't eat enough at lunch
that you need a little snack for your uber rite home.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
I know, I was just like Emily.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
I love Emily, but I was like, please don't make
this another situation where you put a freaking subway. Yeah,
I'm like Emily enough with the food in the purse,
please save me a spare this season. But getting back
to the scene of the girls having lunch, you are right, Alexis.

(27:30):
I did feel like when Gretchen and Tamar saw each other,
I did feel like Tamar was trying to diffuse it
but also understanding the assignment of we have to address it.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Tamara alleged that Gretchen contacted her daughter when she was
going through the legalities of her ex husband and how
her daughter at the time was was, you know, publicly
stating how Tamara just wasn't the mother she thought she
would be, which is powerful for any mother to hear. Now,

(28:03):
Gretchen did leave a comment which my opinion, I love Gretchen.
I think it's off limits as it pertains that anyone's
child lashing out on social media.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
I one hundred percent agree with you, And I don't
think the part that I how I feel is it
doesn't matter if you reached out to her on Instagram
or Facebook or a DM or a phone call or
a text. Doesn't matter at all. It's an announcement. Especially
now since Gretchen has a daughter. You would think Gretchen
would have gone, you know what, that was wrong with me.
I think that's where Gretchen could have she missed the
beat there. She could have looked at Tamar and said,

(28:37):
you know what, I have a kid.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
Now, I get it.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
That was wrong.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
No matter how I reached out to your child, I
should have that should have been off limits. But Gretchen didn't.
She just kept, you know, going to the point of, oh, well,
you know, it wasn't a phone call and it's not
the same. By the way, how scary was that when
she goes it's not the same, Like I was like,
ooh those eyes right there. So but anyway, I think that,

(28:59):
you know, it doesn't matter how you talk how you
talked to the child. The child a child, and it's
always going to be chamorous child. Even if the child's
twenty six, it's still going to be Chamer's child. So yeah,
it's off limits hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah, I think it's off limits. And listen, they're going
to get some more issues later this season that we know.
This was just a tip of the iceberg. But I
would like to get into the Shannon Badore of it all, because,
as we saw this episode, Shannon has taken this personal
liking to Katie because she keeps saying Alexis that it's

(29:37):
hard for her to watch one person get ganged up on,
which Emily was like, you're gonna stop saying that we're
not bullying her. Shannon said, I know what that feels like.
It happened to me before, and she was really on
Katie's side before we get to the bomb drop that
happened at the lunch table. Did you feel that Shannon

(30:03):
was being genuine taking this personal liking to Katie or
was she using Katie to try to prove a point
to the ladies that gang it up on one person
it's off limits.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
I think the latter. I think exactly what you just said,
I don't think.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
I don't think it was genuine, But at the same time,
I do agree with her. I don't think that anybody
should sit at a table and harp on one person
on if you want to have a one on one
conversation with that person and tell them what they're doing
wrong or how they've hurt you. That's different than six
women and five of them all, you know.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Being on Katie.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
That's a very I've been in that place myself on Housewives,
and I don't like to partake in it, and I
don't like when it happens to anybody. I don't care
if they're right or wrong. I still feel like I
agree with Shannon on the fact that it was it's
not okay, Like not one person sitting at that lunch
would want to be in the hot seat and have
all six women on them at that moment about something

(31:01):
they've done wrong, no matter how.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Wrong it is.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
It's like, just okay, let's take we're older women now,
let's be adults and pull them aside or make a
phone call to them. I don't agree with the ganging
up on thing, but I don't think Shannon get chanced
your question. I don't think Shannon was genuine about it.
I think it was more of let's not do ganging
up on anyone could have been anybody that she was
trying to say that about well, and now we know

(31:26):
they're not very close friends by the end of this episode.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Yeah, because look, Emma le revealed to Shannon that look,
while you're defending Katie, she recorded you and sent it
to Alexis. Shannon freaks out, saying in her confessionals that
you know these people were suing me and that she's
alleging that you guys could have used that in your.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Case against the judgment to get the money back.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Then again, it's a stupid comment. Yea makes no sense.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
It It makes no legal There's no legal thing there.
It's like the litigation that, by the way, was John
and Shannon, not we. John and I did not sue Shannon.
John sued Shannon back for the money she owed him,
So let's take the we out of that. Even though
he's my has my fiance. However, there would be no
recourse of action for that that It was not a video,

(32:21):
which keeps getting thrown out there. It was a voice
memo recording. There's no way that would have helped us
in a court case at all.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
She's she's a lunatic. Okay, that doesn't get us our
money back.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
Doesn't show any proof of the we needed the emails
and the proof that we had a video of that
or a voice memo.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
That's not going to help our case.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Shannon has a tendency to leave the table and listen.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
I like Shannon, but I'm very honest, I'm sick and
tire of her leaving every scene.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
It's not well, You're probably not alone in that because
it happens every single season, and the girls are sick
of it. The girls, all the cast is sick of it.
They just like, roll her eyes now and they're like,
you know, they say it behind and they're like, oh,
here she goes. She's gonna leave again, So look at you.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Let me know Alexis. Alexis.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
Nothing bothers me on OC because it's such a great
show except Shannon's ability to not sit in her chair
and deal with what's happening because she's getting a paycheck.
I'm sick and tired of Shanna ba door being shown
the door and not addressing what is happening in front

(33:37):
of her.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
You've been there, does Shannon, So we let me ask
you this.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
You worked on the show. When she leaves, is she
like yelling at producers what does she is she like?
Getting her like what is happening? Why can't she just
sit there and take it?

Speaker 3 (33:53):
You gotta have her on the podcast to find that out.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
I don't know, because I mean, when you sign your contract,
you know that's what you're getting yourself into.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
I mean, that's what the show's about. It is conflict
and resolution.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
So there's going to be a conflict and be able
to get up every time and say I'm done, I'm leaving.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
It's I mean, it means you can't really hold your
own You can't. You can't.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
You can't sit there and take it, and you also
can't dish it back out, which is what you're signing
up for.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
That is the job, you know.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
You'll have to ask her why and what she's doing thinking.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Oh, Shannon, Shannon, come on, because listen. I love when
I see you as the mom. I think Shanna's the
great mom her daughters. Whenever she's with her daughters, you
can see the love that they have with the mother,
and that obviously means Shanna is doing something right. So
I applaud her as a mother, applaud her relationship with
her daughters. The thing is I don't applaud her for

(34:44):
leaving a scene because the thing was this nobody.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
The difference is this. I I was on Shannon's side
last season.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
I told my friend Camera off the record and on
the record, like, girl ain't liking this, but I at
least understood that if you're calling somebody a drunk, it's
not the nicest things to say.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
And I can understand leaving the situation.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
I'm not on Shannon's side when it's sort of like, well,
Katie did this, and she's like, I'm leaving. No one's
attacking you, Shannon. No one's calling you a drunk. No
one's even attacking you. It's meek and mild Katie, who said, look,
this is what happened.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Deal with it.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
And if that's your friend who you love to have
one on once with on a park bench overlooking the
o c Ocean, honey, then I'm gonna need you to
be able to sit there and deal with it. Like
I didn't understand the walk off in this episode, I
truly did not.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
I don't know that I understand any of them, to
be honest, because it does happen so frequently that it's
like it's you just know that it's gonna the scene's
gonna end sooner than thought because she's gonna walk away.
So the one thing she does get together girls, you
know the job's done a little faster.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Because they're like, if Shat is leaving, then we could
go home there because those that makes sense, that makes sense.
Before I let you go, I do want to I
do want to ask you this you your.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
Name is being mentioned, it has been mentioned in the
first two episodes.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
We did see the coming attractions, like the next week.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
My name's in that one too.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
The least paid housewife on the book, because okay, just
like John's John's you know appendage last year he had
they had, he had his own, he had his own
contract too.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
Unfortunately, so is it because look, one thing I know
about you, you are a strong woman who has the
capabilities of defending yourself, your.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Beliefs and what you stand for.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Have it been challenging or not to watch the show
hearing your name constantly come up and you're not there
to defend yourself.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
I mean, yeah, that's would stink for anyone.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
And and like I said, I set the record straight
on No, it wasn't a video No, that's not what happened.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
This is how it is.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
It's like it does. It does stink to not be
able to have a voice when.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Your name is bringing mentioned every single episode so far,
you know, and obviously next week it's going to be
mentioned again.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
And I have a feeling it's it's not gonna dwindle
down that much.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
So yeah, but what do I do?

Speaker 4 (37:38):
You know, there's not much. There's not much I can do.
I just stay true to myself, and I am a
very convicted person. I will I will defend what I
believe is right, and I will stick up for myself.
You know, I guess to a fault like I did
last year, but I'm not gonna I'm not gonna change
who I am.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
No, Now, I don't want you to listen. I adore you.
I think you're so fun. You will always, always, always, always.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Receive my props for your contribution in the awesomeness that
was last season's Oh see, I mean it was.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
It was a ten out of a ten.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
And I said this on my platform numerous times, and
I would say this behind your back to it would
have been a very different season about you because you
were able to ignite a much needed fire that that
show needed. And I appreciated the real, organic friendship that

(38:36):
you had with Heather and Camera on the show. And
I'm not happy you're not there, but I am happy
that you are living your best life.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
You are getting married.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
You are showing the world, not that you needed to,
but you're showing the world that what you and John
had was real and it was not to get under
anyone's again, that this is a real to me, like
it was real love and and the magical wedding that
you two will have is really going to illustrate that

(39:09):
you have found love.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
And I could not be more happier for you and John.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
Thank you so much. We are going to miss you.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
I know we don't want to speak too much about that,
but we are going to miss you that We know
you can't make it, but.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
You were invited, so there you go.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
I want to invite and listen and listen, listen. We
will have We will have other moments to celebrate. So
thank you Alestener for hobbling on reality with the King.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
Look, I know you're busy planning the wedding, but I
will speak to your team because I would love to
have you back. Because you're You're such a fun girl,
and I would love to continue doing this with you
whenever I can.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
That will be fabulous.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
I will look forward to that. Okay, all right, you too,
thank you. Elections.
