Speaker 1 (00:03):
Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King.
I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your
favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey
and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and
Bell Collective. Every episode we recap reality television from the
Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in
(00:27):
addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or
scripted as well. One thing about Courtney Parker and I
as co hosts of Reality Crime Stories is the fact
that things happen every single day and as two journalists, Hey, Portsiche,
(00:54):
We're like, we have to talk about the goings and
the comings everything that has been occurring. So Courtney Parker,
are you ready to talk about the madness that seems
to be never ending with a mystical body eye.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Listen, It's going to end with reconciliation. This is my prediction.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Think So okay, you go, girl, you go.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Okay, reconciliation.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
They are just gearing up for you to produce their
third or fourth uh numptuals and marriage.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah mm hm, Parker, I listen. This is part four.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
This is part four Carlos King every Just when we
thought it was over with Simon and Portia, Simon says
he's about to sue so And for a five hundred
k for comments that. Yeah, he's my prediction, rain Drops,
(02:02):
support me, help me out. I think this is the
a deal storyline for a reconciliation relationship.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
I could be delusional, but I don't think so. It's
too calculated.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I think you are being the Lulu like Drew so
Dura's song or her album I Did It to Me. Okay, So,
rain Drops. This is the first live episode of Reality
Crime Stories. As you know, for the past couple of weeks,
(02:39):
we are tapping into the true crime space as it
relates to reality stars. I got my guest co host.
When I guess to the co host, excuse me. I
got my co host, Courtney Parker, who is not only
an executive producer, she and I work together on The
Hollywood Divas the next fifteen. She also is a true
(03:00):
crime expert because her tutelage includes working on Law and Order.
And you know one thing about black folks, we love
Law and Order. We watch it every day, especially on
the weekends. She has worked under Dick Wolf the Legend.
She also worked on Fatal Traction, which is my favorite
TV one series as well including Oxygen Snap. So Courtney
(03:23):
Parker is the perfect co host for this show because
she knows not only the ins and outs of being
a reality executive producer, she also knows the ins and
outs of true crime and the legal jargon that really
has us understanding the legal language in this space. So
(03:46):
with that being said, we got Ty Campbell. Okay, so
Ty Campbell is asking who is suing who, So let's
get right into it. Simon is apparently suing Portie for defamation.
So rain drops, this news just occurred late last night
(04:07):
where Porsche's X Now it's official her ex husband, Simon
Gubadia is demanding five hundred thousand dollars judgment over erectile
dysfunction posts. So rain Drops, this is what's going on.
Last year, Okay, because you know, we'd like to do
(04:28):
our research. Last year, Porsche made a post where it
was a black screen and it had ed. Okay, and
I'm being very honest and Courtney, we're gonna go line
by line when it comes to what happened in the
series of evanced chronologically. Okay, So let's do that late?
(04:53):
I mean sometime last year, Porsche posted ed okay, just Ed,
so rain drops, I've been honest here, Ed is Ed?
So I thought to myself, is she calling somebody mister Ed?
Is she saying somebody looks like a horse? Is she
(05:14):
saying she's a stallion? Like Meghan? Like, are we riding donkeys?
Mechanical bulls?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Like?
Speaker 1 (05:21):
What's going on? True story? That was my first reaction.
I'm like, I don't get it. Who is Ed? Is it?
Ed McMahon, like, what's going on? Right? So then Courtney,
I'm at luck with my homegirls. And my homegirls were like,
you saw a Porsche posted and I said, yeah, Like
who's mister d Right? Look, lady Roe is saying Carlos, Carlos, Carlos.
(05:46):
I beg honest, right, Nah, I beg honest. I'm like,
I don't know what that means? Right? Yes, rest in peace?
Ad mcmad. Okay, So my homegirl said, I think Carlo
is a rectile dysfunction. I said, you think so? Like
if the words a portion? Who said who said that?
(06:07):
Who said that? I ain't say that? So then Courtney,
after that occurred because I can't wait to Courtney's reaction
to this. Simon posted afterwards, the next narrative has arrived
erectile dysfunction in parenthesis ed hashtag white for the streets.
(06:31):
So I said, huh, he's saying erectile dysfunction. She did
not say that. He also said Courtney. The narrative changed
from imminent deportation and clean the country to Dubai to
broke and selling luxury cars. Waiting for next narrative hashtag
(06:56):
story keeps changing Courtney one more and I want to
get your thoughts on it. Porsche then and her stories
posted hashtag men's health awareness. Things you can do to
help with erectile dysfunction Number one. Lose weight if you're overweight,
(07:18):
Number two, stop smoking number three, eat a healthy diet
number four, exercise daily. Number five. Try to reduce stress
and anxiety. Try to reduce stress and anxiety. And Porsche,
who's a journalist, citing her sources with ww dot NHS
(07:43):
dot UK, which are the conditions of erectile dysfunction impotence.
Last thing that was posted was Simon saying, if I
didn't allow witches in my life, my angel would not
have to work so hard. So Courtney, I want you
to tell me your thoughts when you saw that ed
(08:08):
where you like me it was sticking horses or did
you immediately know what it was about?
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Immediately? I knew what she was talking about.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
And listen to take us. Everybody knows the sub a
good sub when you see one, and this was no different.
That's why I'm like ED is erectile dysfunction. And it's
at a time where they were throwing shots at each other.
(08:37):
So they were back and forth and back and forth
and back and forth. So for her to just put
simple ed, he knew what was coming, and she knew
what she was doing.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
She knew what she was doing. Drink beat I'm.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Sorry, Wait a second, Wait a second, wait a second.
If the mark of carlos keg, let's have a real conference.
So d Leanly McDonald said, drink beat juice. Now, I
are you? Are you saying the lean lean if? I
got your name right, child, that drinking beat juice helps
(09:14):
with erectile dysfunction. Cordy, I don't know eithing about that hoodey,
I'm I'm good underneath my hood? So is that?
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (09:24):
No, there are holistic approaches that men can take, which
is exactly whise like your rain drops already know Carlos
your rain drops though, so I'm so confused as to
how you did not know and portion knew exactly what
she was doing by simply black screen ed.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
He knew.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
That's why he was like, Okay, here's the narrative we're
on then for her to post mental health awareness, going
into a webed WebMD page breaking down specifically what.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Beaten mark. I love your rain drops, like.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
The rain are the best in the business. This is
no cap no shay, I love everybody, nobody, nobody to
be It's more in tune, funnier, educated, well versed gangs.
Go ahead, Cortney, go ahead, baby.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
But yeah, like we we knew what she was doing. Uh,
he knew. The sad reality is how he knew. Why
he knew.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
It could be alleged that they had actual experience and
this was a private moment that she is now making public.
But for her to say it, yes, Portia was throwing subliminals,
I agree, Lady Roe. I agree like it was she
was throwing subliminals. She was throwing shots, and to do
(10:58):
that during the very contentious breakup, that's what she was doing.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King.
Let's get back into the show. Okay, So this is
the thing Porsche first wrote ed mm hm. Then Simon
himself elected to be the first person to add a
(11:28):
name on it and say, fully erect how dysfunction? So
my question for you is this, he is suing Porsche
for five hundred thousand dollars for defamation Courtney. So there's
so much to read that let's just get right into it, okay.
(11:49):
Simon's lawyer alleged that these posts were intentionally crafted to
imply that he suffers from this condition, casting him in
a negative and humiliating light. The nature, timing, and contexts
of these posts admissed the couple's public separation, led reasonable
(12:13):
viewers to infer that her statements were referring to Simon
because they were.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
They were, they were.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Now you said something interesting when before like hit dogs
holler yeah, and and and again. That can be true. Uh,
but she knew exactly what she was doing.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Of course, she just said ed.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Uh. Simon raised his hands. Yes, but again she was
throwing shot. It wasn't like they weren't having exchanges. So
we have to look at the intent and the premeditated intent.
We're looking at it from a scope of true crime law,
(13:03):
legal standing parameters.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
She did it while exchanging.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Remarks about one another, so how would he not assume
that ed?
Speaker 3 (13:16):
And then to go on to say, how do you
men deal.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
With arectile dysfunction? How do they feel when they're experiencing
a rectile dysfunction? She didn't list anybody else. She never
came out and said, hey, I'm not talking about you.
She know exactly what she was doing, and he took
the bait explicitly.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
But I with Mackenzie, I would to say ED stands
for anthing divorce. Now look now, look I look, yes,
that's what Mackenzie flobbers to use sis. So look, I
with Mackenzie, if I write ED did not put a
name on it, you all to put a name on it. Now.
Portia did add some hot sauce to or some lower
(14:04):
seasoning saw by describing erechtob dysfunction, but she still never
put a name on it. So, Courtney, in terms of
your expertise and all things true crime, is this a
crime considering she never said his name first? He did, Yes,
(14:28):
they were going through a cycle. But in the sheer
definition of the legal case. Does Simon have a case
based on this alone?
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Absolutely? This is defamation.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
This is defamation, And I was asked about this when
we decided to talk about this. I'm gonna use an
example of like Mike Tyson, the average person who was
not a public figure can't yield words and posts to
weaponize against somebody else that is not a public figure.
(15:03):
So if I'm just talking to my homegirl nay name,
and I'm saying, hey, my soon to be ex husband,
because they were still married legally made their divorce was
just finally, So when you're making posts and allegations while
separating or going through what we now know was a
(15:24):
contentious divorce, throwing accusations at that while you're legally married,
It's not like they weren't married.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
They were both public figures.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
She has and is on a huge platform where her
words are scrutinized, her words are taken seriously. Any accusations
you make in that public forum against somebody else who
is a public figure, that is defamation. One one, If
(15:57):
I'm Mike Tyson and I get into a bar brawl
with someone, my fists are legal weapons.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
It has There are not so many people out.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Uh there, I'm considered my hands are considered lethal and weapons,
and so I can't go into a bar fight as
Mike Tyson and do the kind of damage that legally
my hands are considered weapons and not be charged with
(16:32):
assault with a deadly weapon because he is a professional
boxer that has knocked people out, caused severe damage because
his his profession allows him to be to use his
fist or now weapons. She is weaponizing her words while
(16:54):
going through a separation and a divorce. If you're throwing
these kind of allegations because you're going through a divorce
and a split about even if she didn't say it,
it's implied the implications of it being the man she's
talking about. The reason she's talking about rectile dysfunction is
(17:17):
because of.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Her husband or her soon to be ex husband. That's
why this has some grounds. That's why this has some standing.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
I doubt very seriously that this won't be taken seriously.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
So okay, So in the court documents, I want to
say this because again I like to make sure I
give all sides to the story and the court document.
Simon argued that Portia's posts were presented in a factual
(17:52):
manner that implied he had ED and were clearly intended
to cast him in a negative and human alligating lights.
For the record, For the record, the lawyer did right
that Simon, In case you all care, the lawyer did
say that Simon does not have ED and has never
(18:13):
suffered from or been diagnosed with this condition. They are
claiming that Simon suffered emotional distress and personal anguish due
to the Instagram post made by his ex wife in
the suit, guys, he added by making these claims in
(18:35):
a public form Portia ensured their immediate and widespread dissemination,
applifying the harm to Simon's credibility and social esteem. So
Simon is a legend coortny that these allegations caused him
(18:56):
emotional distress and did harm to him personally. Now, with
that being said, does that indicate that he feels this
is a situation in which it could have prevented him
from like dating or because this isn't a business. I mean,
(19:18):
let me ask you, is this something that could affect
his business? That's what I'm trying to get at.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yeah, because if.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
His integrity is being attached, here's the thing. Lies are
loud and it doesn't matter if it's not the truth,
and he can prove through medical documents that he has
never suffered. Like. It's getting into his personal business. And
when you get into people's personal business, yes, it can
(19:48):
affect his professional business as well, because when people should
be talking about the merit of who this man is
as a businessman, they're now caught up in the fluff
of what this rumor is about him. And she did
it in such a public way, on a public platform.
(20:12):
I could say that it causes him and Simon grief
simply of the strength of he doesn't want people talking
about something that is not true that attacks his character,
his manhood. It's not just about him going after new
women or you know, new potential girlfriends or webers. It's
(20:35):
about the fact that people are now talking about this
him in a derogative way, a derogatory way, and that
can interfere with some of his professional relationships and businesses.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
So.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
The thing is that the pic that follow you, Carlos, think
about the rumors that allow you like those grade school rumors. Yeah,
if you have that, the locker Top, they're one of
my favorite movie, I mean series right now is forever
Marl b RockA Kills Forever she did that It was all.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Based off of a rumor.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
When you watch that show, that little girl was assumed.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
To have sets. That was video we found out and
discovered later.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Spoiler alert for anybody who hasn't seen the series. It
wasn't the extent that we thought it was, but it
caused such emotional distress that the little girl had to
leave school.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
All of these things.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
So imagine if you are a businessman as prominent.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
As Simon may think he is or portray himself to be.
And this is a conversation we don't know. We don't know.
I personally have my own.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Thoughts because I think all of this is gonna lead
them back down the aisle.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
I said that from the beginning.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
There is no way of God's green Earth that they
are getting lift it. I have a better chance of
marrying portion of my crush than that I'm getting back together.
I don't see a ray drop. Let me know the chat.
There is no way in the world I see this.
But tell me why, Courtney Parker, you feel so strongly
(22:32):
that well, they will get back together.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
I feel strongly because I am a story driven person,
like true crime is finessed in a way.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Crime stories are finessed.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
In a way that you have a hero, you have
a villain, you have a victim, And there the way
that this thing is panning out couldn't be. This is
when reality TV is not scripted. But you're like, I
couldn't have written this any better myself. Like they just
got a divorce, she was just awarded a settlement. Like
(23:10):
I've never seen two people who claim to not care
about each other anymore go at it so passionately over
every little thing, because it's easier for Simon to just
go away. You're deported, you claim on your Instagram or
on your social media that you're living your best life.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Why bring this back into the fold.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Why she just did her waiting to excel moment in
People magazine, Like I've never seen two people who are
dying to get away from each other work so hard
to maintain a story of them together.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Like what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Just go into your own private corners and lick your
bones if you actually have them.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
I think they have them. I think they're gonna get
back together.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Okay, maybe, okay, listen, I vehemently disagree with that, but
I want to I want to ask you this, Courtney,
because again I want to talk about the specifics of
what he is saying. Simon's lawyer argued that these posts
(24:20):
simply provided information regarding a common condition, and alleged that
with portrait using hashtag men's health awareness to draw awareness
to the information that may help some of defendants social
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I want to make
I want to retract that and really talk about what
(24:40):
this was. Okay, this is how Porsche just lawyer responded,
So rain Drops, I'm going to repeat this again. What
I'm now about to read to you all is lawyer's
response to it. They are demanding that this be thrown
out of court. A okay, Porsche's lawyers wrote this in response, Raindrops.
(25:05):
None of P's posts referred to any particular individual, let
alone Simons. Specifically, Porsche cannot and should not be held
liable for sharing information regarding a comic condition that likely
plagues many of Porsche's social media followers. For this reason
(25:30):
and the reasons detail here in this court should dismiss
Simon's complaint in its entirety. Porsia's lawyer argued these posts
simply provide information regarding a comic condition. And Porsche even
uses Min's help awareness as a hashtag because she wanted
(25:51):
to draw awareness to the information that may help some
of her social media followers.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
So here's what she's gonna have to prove. She's gonna
have to prove.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I mean, if you if you listen to that, just
in its entirety, in all sincerity. Why, of course, she
is not a doctor, she's not a nurse practitioner. She
is nothing in the medical field. She is not an
advocate for a rectile dysfunction. She has not expressed within
(26:27):
her storyline that her father, her any mail in her
life was suffering from this.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
It's not been a part.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
So it comes out of the blue while you're separating
from your then husband. So, I mean, this sounds really good.
All the legal jargon sounds.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Amazing, but the reality is this is a shot and
it's stuck.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
It's stuck, like you're you're saying, so produce the receipts,
which they all have. Right of somebody coming to you
coming to Portia to say, hey, what's your advice on
erectile dysfunction?
Speaker 3 (27:09):
She didn't have ev with pare hands. She knew what
she was doing.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
And so what they'll have to do is prove that
her intent for these posts were not malicious, and what
he has to do is proved that they were. And
I think in this particular case, Simon can prove from
the theory the posts that preceded it and the series
(27:38):
of posts that came after it, that she was talking
and directing these posts towards him. That's going to be
the easier thing to do if we're just talking legally.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
The parameters of this case. It's not.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
They're going to have to prove intent, and they're going
to have to prove Simon's is gonna have to prove harm.
So she's saying, I bet you think the song was
about you, Joni Mitchell, and it wasn't. She's going to
now have to say, well, who was this about? And
do you have a history of giving medical advice or
(28:16):
support to people who suffer from a reptile dysfunction? Again
all providing contexts for Simon's real claim she was talking
about me.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
She was dead wrong. I need five hundred K.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
So this is the thing, though, a lot of the
rain drops in the chat are fired up, and they
have tons of commentary rain drops, I see you Happy Friday.
He's imagining five hundred thousand dollars, and a lot of
the rain Drops who also went to the Law and
Order University school as well, they all feel like sign
(29:00):
I meant allegedly asking for a five hundred thousand dollars
it's because allegedly that's the money he has to pay
hard so baby, based on the judgment of their divorce
being finalized, do you think that the five hundred thousand
dollars is a way of breaking even for the money
that he allegedly or once she wants to accumulate the
(29:23):
you have to pay her.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Maybe again, if he's nothing else, Simon is savvy, like
it doesn't matter. They I finally talked the one, Hey Carl,
let's check, hey Alabama. But even if that is true, again,
what what assuming they're paying in legal fees?
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Is this is really not about the money. This is
about to keep the conversation going.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
Like Portia's got it, Simon's got it.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
This is not.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
But in layman terms, five hundred thousand dollars is a lot.
Forty K a month is a lot. She makes more
than that with Row Housewives. He is a successful businessman,
So to me, this is not necessarily about the money.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
It's about the vindication and it's about the victory. They
want to.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Wait, wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on,
hold on, hold on. Let's have a conversation, and this is
us to us to squirrel friends talking right. Do you
honestly think Simon creating this lawsuit of defamation has to
(30:40):
do with what he put in the legal document when
he filed it to clear his name, or do you
think this is another attempt of him trying to get
at Poorsha.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
I think it's personally amongst us friends. I think it's
a little bit of both, Like it's almost like a
one up of each other. Nobody can deny her people
spread was iconic, her recreating waiting to excel behind with
(31:18):
the rollers, behind the black car, I mean behind with
the planes and all of that was that was Portia's
last word. So we could have debt this, debted, this
entire conversation of the Porte and Simus.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Saga with that moment her crying in.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
The interview or being tear tearful in the interview, saying
I'm just off love for a second, and I don't
know how to date and all the things that she
alleged was her Mahogany moment for me, and Simon is like,
not that, not too fast, because again you've already got
me deported.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
It's a leg allegedly because Porsia for the record, for
the record, Porsia has denied any involvement calling eyes.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
She has so part one of Reality Crime Stories with
Carlos King and Courtney we got all into that. So
if we believe the alleged and assumptions that she didn't,
no matter what he got deported, he got deported. It
doesn't hit the same when you're uh sending pictures from Dubai,
(32:34):
when you're sending pictures from Africa, it's not the same.
So if you're craving the celebrity and you want to
literally have the last word, this is his attempt to
keep his name in all of our mouths, which he
is successfully doing right now.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
To some things up, rain Drops. What's happening now? Is
this okay? Simon is seeking five hundred thousand dollars for
this is what Simon's alleging in the court document. So
Courtney Parker and rain DOFs listen up. Simon told the
(33:15):
court he will be seeking five hundred thousand dollars for
lost business opportunities and sponsorships in addition. In addition, he
will also be seeking unspecified general damages for harm to
(33:36):
his reputation, emotional distress, and humiliation. Now, how this is
my I have a question, yep. I'm trying to find
the through line and the the the attachment to the
(34:04):
allegation of a legend ed and how that can affect
your business.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Again, it's defamation.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
What I know, I know, but but but but again
again the correlation between a legend ed affecting you at
work as you're doing business as sponsorships. Are you able
to explain to me how those two can relate to
(34:35):
each other?
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Again, it's it's it's any conversation, it's it's the word
defamation in its entirety.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Like if I create a narrative.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
And say Carlos King is impossible to work with, that
can be further from the truth, because all of my
experiences have been wonderful with you.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
But if one somebody says.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Carlow's King is a tyrant when you're going into other
business dealings instead of talking about the merit of who
Carlos King is and the plethora of opportunities that you've
created for me, myself.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Other black people.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
They're now talking about this one rumored of you being
a tyrant or you being difficult. It's it doesn't matter
what the term was, it's the intention to drive a narrative,
a false one.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
According to Simon, that is an extraction.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
So Edie is now on the mouths of everyone, including us.
We're talking about Edie erectile dysfunction, and we're assuming and
associating ed now with Simon.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
But if I'm in a business meeting Courtney Courney, if
I'm in a business meeting and someone put this on
Twitter that the person I'm meeting with has ed this
is my opinion, as Carlos King the businessman, whether your
performance in the bid room doesn't indicate your performance in
the boardroom. And that's the thing that I'm trying to
(36:28):
find a correlation, because I understand that if somebody says
like you're impossible to work with, your tyrant, your things,
you're that. I get all that. I find it I personally,
this is my opinion. I'm not a lawyer. I find
it hard to correlate the assumption that your performance are lacked.
Their up in the bid room has anything to do
(36:50):
with your performance in the boardroom.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
It doesn't, but it's your view now as a distraction
because of this divorce takes away some of your professional
appeal because I don't want to be in I don't
want to do business with someone.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
That's involved in so much mess. Do you see what
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
So it's about it.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Doesn't matter about his performance in the bedroom or his
performance on the on the boardroom. She has created a
conversation and a narrative that have people talking.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
So if I go into my.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Venture capitalist meeting and I'm looking for an investor and
an investor has to even ask me, hey, man, I
write about the headline over your defamation case, it's now
created a cloud of what people think about me. And
he didn't necessarily do it to himself. You gotta think professionally.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
I don't anybody.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
It's embarrassing, particularly for a man, when you attack his
man hood. So if some who knows nothing about Simon
and they're looking at I'm getting ready to get into
business with this man, and I google him or I
do research on him, this is the thing that's gonna
(38:13):
come up A rectile dysfunction, and now I have to
sue to prove that my wife at the time, my
ex wife now was a reality star, creating a reality
TV narrative to keep first storyline, her popularity thriving. She
(38:34):
used her public forum to diminish my name in any sense.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
Whether it's true or not.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
People are now gonna if someone comes in and says, hey,
are you okay? Hey, if they make a joke about
him locker room talk, if they make a joke.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
About him, say uh whatever, whatever, whatever.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
If he does get into a business agreement and dealings
with other women.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
We don't watch the show, We're.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Right putting there saying hm, And that.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Could be just enough to make him feel insecure about
something that he alleges. It's just not true. So it
becomes a distraction, which people in business can say, legally,
you you seem like a nice person, but what comes
with you these rumors, these antics, this deportation, all of
(39:35):
the things that surrounded him while he was married to
this very public figure and reality star is now interfering
with his business.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
Hi, Felma, thank you, Thelma.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
I'm saying all done, go.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
What you think about my rating jobs? This is why
I love somebody?
Speaker 3 (40:04):
All right?
Speaker 1 (40:05):
They I think I have the only supporters who read me. John,
I'll just be like, okay, no, hey, demogrant Democrat said Carlos,
I love you, but open your eyes and a whole
Portia constable for something, you know, all the bad things
she does, I with courty one hundred percent. Listen. I
always hold Portia accountable for things. I'm the one who
(40:27):
said she was wrong for me with Ralph. I'm the
one who said, you know, when she was with Shamia
and with the force and knives. I'm like, that was
dismiss Porsche. So I do I do in this particular case, Thelmagrat,
Hey baby, how are you happy Friday? Uh? Demo Grat.
I'm trying to find the correlation in terms of listen, listen,
(40:48):
listen my charlottat Ebony K. Williams. I also attended the
Ebony K. Williams School of Law. So, Thelma Grant, all
I'm trying to do is fine the correlation between the
ed defamation and loss of business. That's it. That's it.
(41:09):
And I was honest by saying when I saw the
post in the initially I thought mister ed and I
thought we were riding horses, stallions and mechanical bulls. But
that's just me now, Courtney, this is what another rain
Drop said. She did a super CHATV said another Porsche hater.
(41:31):
This dude stayed on social media talking about her. So
the believes Cordy, you are Porsche hater. There's people in
the chat Cordy who believe you are hating on Porsche.
And are you on Simon's payroll?
Speaker 2 (41:43):
I am not, And if I were on Simon's payroll,
I would confirm and not deny.
Speaker 3 (41:50):
If the EV was was real. But I'm not when
we're looking at it.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
That's why I use the analogy of is this case sufficient?
Speaker 3 (42:00):
Can it be thrown out?
Speaker 2 (42:01):
And I'm like, people have to understand and they're using
their very public forums create an atmosphere to where there
are consequences for one's actions. And in this case, I'm
ready for the saga of Portia and Simon to end.
I personally think she should have had her moment. Not
(42:24):
a Portia hater. She should have had her moment and
rolled off into the sunset to Brandy or Mary J.
Blige music from the original or of Waiting to Excel.
That was the knell in the coffin for me. She
looked great. It was awesome. But he is not wanting
her to win or have the last word, and rightly so,
(42:48):
because this stuff really.
Speaker 3 (42:50):
Did happen to him.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Now whether personally believe that this is stuff he should
even be talking about. Like I said, this is part
four for Carlos and I on the Simon and Portsha saga.
This is a story that will never end and I'm
here for it. However, does he have a legal case
(43:14):
of defamation?
Speaker 3 (43:16):
He absolutely does.
Speaker 2 (43:18):
Does she have to be more careful with how she
uses her words her platform to throw shade at situations
that are real, especially dealing with someone as astute as Simon.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
Who is just like he's ready. Yeah, she has to
just be careful. But legally he has a case.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
I'll be very surprised if this gets thrown out because
he doesn't have to prove how this affected his business.
All he has to say is, she said she threw
a post. She made a post about me. I feel
like it was aimed at me. It was during a
time where we were separated. If we're just looking at
(44:06):
legal facts, it was at a time when we were separating,
and she had been there's proof that they had been
going at each other, and now he's like, I don't
whether he wants to pay the forty K. And that's
the exact amount the five hundred thousand dollars sumbs up to.
(44:27):
When it's all said and done, he has a case
and she did it, and so she's gonna have to
prove the intent behind why she made it.
Speaker 3 (44:38):
She's gonna have to prove it.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
Her lawyers made a statement, but now she's gonna have
to prove it if this case moves forward, or.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
She can settle it and just be done.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Is only for five hundred k, which is Tiffany, You're
absolutely right?
Speaker 1 (44:54):
Which is what is forty k? Over fifteen months? It's
only five k? So listen, Yeah, so rain drops. We
will be diving more into this as more materializes, but
we have to do this emergency Reality Crime Stories episode.
