Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Reasonably Shady, a production of the Black Effect
Podcast Network and I Heart Radio. Welcome. It is another
episode of Reasonably Shady. I am Gazelle Bryant. What's up?
What's up? This is Robin Dixon. Thank you so much
(00:21):
for being here with us. Okay, yes, yes, yes yes,
And I want to say it is officially Virgos season
and I'm very excited about it. And we'll get to
that later in this episode, but for now, we have
our Reasonably Shady moments of the week. M So one
(00:46):
is now the laundry boy for his team one and
laundry I never thought would be in the same sentence.
Let's just start there. He comes home from practice. Um,
you know, his players are back on campus at Coppin
in there working out and he comes home from practice
every day with a bag full of sweaty, stinky basketball clothes.
(01:12):
Why because he's washing their clothes because he doesn't like
he's I don't know why he has taken the responsibility
to wash these young men's clothes, but he's washing the
sweaty clothes of an entire basketball team in my house.
And so when I go into the launder room, I'm
(01:34):
like what does that smell likeuse you know, because it
might be like in the net bag on the floor
or even like even after you wash them, they still stink.
I'm just like, why did he take this one? Because
he's I don't know, he's a nice guy. He's a
nice guy. He wants everything like together and nice and neat,
so he wants to make sure it gets done and
(01:55):
it's where it's supposed to be. Are you washing it? No,
he's washing it and folding so so not only does
it stink, now you're taking up the damn washing machine.
And I need to wash my clothes and my kids
need to wash and it's like lucky for me. I um,
when I when we built a house, I added another
(02:16):
washer dryer hook up in the basement. I didn't buy
another washer dryer yet, but I think I'm going to
do that soon. He should do that. I'm like, I
can't even wash my clothes like in a timely fashion,
but because he's hogging it with these stinky clothes. Yes,
wine is shady. Let me just say that because he
a no one told him to take on this responsibility.
I almost want to ask him for some coins, like, yes,
I need some quarters as if you're at the laundromat,
(02:37):
because because one is washing the basketball team's jersey's. Okay,
he's a really good coach. He he really cares about
his players, and so I like it. Okay, so we
can't be too mad about him. Okay. So I am
actually the shady person of the week because I'm so
excited that next week my kids are going to school.
(03:02):
And when I say back to school, not virtual in
my house, They're actually going to a building. They're going inside,
and I'm driving off. Yes I am. Summer is over
and I'm happy about it, but I'm surprised, Like I
feel like your girls are like grown and they leave
you alone. They do, they do, but it's just time,
you know, everyone, there's a little break, and it's like
star Crazy might go back on Monday. And honestly, I
(03:24):
feel like this week I was like, it's just like okay,
like just breathe robbing, because like they literally are going
star crazy where they're like wrestling all the time, pouring
water on each other for no reason. Like it's just
like okay, all right, like just not pouring water for
no reason. Jesus. Oh wait, I have another ship. I
(03:45):
have another shady moment. Okay, we'll just say it for
another time, another episode. All Right, there's so much happening
in the world, and we definitely want to talk about it.
But before we say what, I'm getting bay and say,
I'm gonna say, this is the last time I'm bringing
up this man's name. Okay, let me guess. Oh yes,
Nick Cannon, Kanye. Oh no, this is not the last time.
(04:06):
This is gonna be the last time. I don't want
to talk about him. I'm telling you this now, and
I'm telling you I don't want to talk about him
anymore because I don't get it. All right. So there's
several things here. Okay, First, you know that he filed
to change his name Yea officially to Yea Yeah, Yeay
West Yea. Like, why to file? Why do we need
(04:27):
to formally do that? I felt like Kanye West probably
owes a lot of money to somebody, and so he's
officially getting rid of Kanye so that money can go away. Okay, okay, okay.
And then secondly, part of this problem is you know
about this feud he's having with Drake. Okay, you know,
(04:47):
you gotta feel me in because I'm still unpacking. I
saw something where he did. Did he put Drake's address
on not the internet? Not only his address? No mind you,
I'm getting this tidbit from my children. And I love
getting t for my kids because my kids like to
spill T. So Kanye showed the picture of like the
like a drone picture of like the actual place on
(05:10):
top of Drake's house. Like, so a picture of of
Drake's house right, like if you type it in like
Google search. And he left the address of what he
typed in to show Drake's house. Why did he do that?
Because they're beef Why what are they beefing about? I
don't know what. I don't know apparently, like the years ago,
I thought they were beefing over Kim, but Kanye, you're
(05:31):
not with him either, so I don't I don't know
what they're beefing about. Has Drake said anything about this,
He's he's roommate, calm. He's just posted pictures of his
um physique, you know, his him working out in the m.
And you know, I'm not a Drake fan either. He
has nice music, but you know, okay, fine, I mean okay,
I don't find him attractive. I just love his music. Yeah,
(05:53):
my kids really like Drake, but whatever. I just find
it very strange that these two men are beefing right
in that manner where that's very dangerous, Like why would
you do that? And it's it's apparently his Toronto house,
not his I guess l a house, so maybe he's
not there that often. It doesn't even matter. You don't
do stuff like that, like you don't put people's houses
out there for them to get robbed, right because I'm okay,
(06:15):
So Drake can equally do the same thing to Kanye, Yes,
you know what I mean, but he wouldn't. He wouldn't
do that, right, But Kanye change. That's maybe that's why
he's changing his name or something. I don't know. I
don't know. This is pettiness. Guess what, Kanye. That's the
last time I'm talking about It's not it's not because
you know, it's so funny, Like I mean, okay, So
I find it so interesting that, like, you know, people
(06:36):
are always like quick to cancel Kanye and then they're
also quick to buy a concert ticket like that is true,
but I'm not. Oh, but speaking of concerts, so you know,
he's getting ready to do his album release in Chicago
and he had like his replica of his house built
like that was very strange to me. But maybe I
just don't have that kind of money. Yeah, and to
(06:56):
do that, like you know, narcissistic Kanye that like just
has to like do weird, strange stuff like that. I
can kind of see. Well, first of all, isn't the
album named after his mom? Yes? Yeah, so it's like Donda,
this is where he grew up. This word that makes
to raise me, you know, all that type of stuff.
I'm coming home. But it's so funny, like everyone through
(07:16):
Kanye to the curb, what do you mean? And then
and then we picked him back up. Yeah, like people
have you know, with him, you know, supporting Trump and
all just just his little crizziness as of late, and
no one wanted anything to do with Kanye. And now
they're buying his tickets and filling up freaking stadiums for
a listening party. It's so weird. I want to say,
I don't have a pair of Yeasy for a reason.
(07:39):
I get that I got one pair from my son
a few years ago and I probably won't buy another one. Okay, Well,
I would like to talk about Busta Rhymes. Oh yeah,
my father was very disturbed. He texted me last night.
Good yes, and he's very disturbed because they're paying him
in Baltimore the for him to come perform and after
all this mess yes, and the messes. He didn't tell
people you'll have to wear your mask. Don't let people
(08:01):
tell you what you can and cannot wear on your face.
You don't need to wear a mask now, mind you.
And I just want to say, and this is a
very serious or a serious note. Um, you know, I'm
um an Ak and my line sister passed away. She passed, Yeah,
she passed away. Yes, Grace, I'm working down here. Yeah, okay,
thanks Grace, Glad you're home. Yes, these teenagers. Um, she
(08:25):
passed away on Monday. Oh my god, I'm sorry. And
she literally like I was going through her Facebook like
three weeks ago, like living a vibrant life, kids everything.
She was my back. So I'm number forty five, she's
number forty six. She wasn't vaccinated and Detroit. Okay, I
(08:46):
want to say, don't quote me on that, but she
it's so just like unnecessary. We can all just get
vaccinated and hopefully these things won't happen. So I'm even
more mad at bus to Rhymes for even perpetuating people
are to even think it's okay, people are dying and
I don't I mean, I don't want to make this
(09:06):
a political issue or anything like that, but it's still
it's this is like a life or death issue for me,
and people are dying. That's I'm so sorry to hear that. Yes, um,
but as we move forward, when we know better, we
can do better. So I'm saying, get your ass vaccinated, yes,
and wear your mask and busting rhymes shut up, just
shut up. I don't like you no more. Very And
(09:27):
it's so sad because artists like that, they have such
a huge platform, you know, and to use it in
that manner it's just wrong. No, yeah, it's very so irresponsible.
All right, So we're gonna move on from that, and um,
Sean Bronson my back, We love you, and rest in peace,
definitely rest in peace. Okay. So I would like to
talk about Shikari Richardson. Yeah, what's like, what's happening? I'm
(09:55):
very confused, I know, for I'm confused why she's even
a topic at this point. Okay, but why do you
say that because she came in ninth. So she came
in ninth. She ran a race. Now, was it like
the Worlds or something? Was it like it was it
was a it was an important race. Maybe it was
the Worlds or the US Open or something. I don't know,
(10:18):
that's tennis. But you know what, she ran a damn
race and she came in last right right, like like
decidedly last, like you like eight steps behind everybody else.
So does that show like that time off between you know,
when the Olympic trials and today like if okay, so,
so does that tell us that she wasn't training during
(10:39):
that time? Like even though she didn't go to the Olympics,
does that mean she wasn't training or does that mean?
I don't, like, I don't even know. I don't really
know what to say. You know what I hate? This
is what I hate. It's like she I saw something
like the day before the race. Was it Nike that
she had like a new like Nike AD or a
new you know, some sort of sponsorship deal. Okay, And
(11:01):
so it was like it feels like, you know, there
was all this like focus and attention on height on
the hype and so you know, so now I'm wondering, like, Okay,
was she not training during that time? Losing focus of
like why she was really here or why you know,
people were really invested in her um and then she
you know, she came in ninth and then you have
people who were like reveling in her loss. I'm not
(11:23):
I don't know. I'm not saying you are. I'm just
saying I saw it was. It's almost like one of
those it's like people can't wait for you to fail
to like revel in it. But you know, you're an athlete.
You put yourself on that platform. You you know, when
you especially when you start accepting money and sponsorships and stuff,
so then it's like, okay, you're going to be subject
to criticism. But just I don't know, It's just I
(11:44):
feel like there's too many distractions going on with her.
I think there's a lot of distraction distractions. I think
all the people that were like, oh my gosh, let
her go to the Olympics, are y'all pulling for her? Now?
Probably not, y'all probably talking trash about her. I just
I'm yeah, I want to see how she bounces bad
from it, Like is she going to refocus. You know
what I mean, is she want to be you know,
(12:05):
inspired and say, whoa, that's not acceptable. Yes, that's not
why I'm here. Let me focus why I'm here and
not and stop worrying about you know, the media and
the attention of the height. But guess what, it's humbling.
She humble. Now, yeah, she's definitely hopefully going to take
this and like learn from Yeah, I mean, and honestly,
the only reason why people okay, okay, So, so why
(12:26):
people even knew she was because she was disqualified, right
or was it prior to that? It was like, okay,
she ran the race she wanted because her mother just passed. No,
she won. She was winning, like she was decidedly winning,
like you know, running and like pointing at people and
still winning. Like it was like, whoa, this girl, that's fast. Wow.
So she had not run against those Jamaicans before, so fast,
(12:49):
but the Jamaicans were like, okay, girl, jaces was like
take that. None did the Jamaican those Jamaicans that won
this race that they win in the Olympics. Okay, alright,
but she alright, go ahead and practice some more. Honey.
Just we we love you, but just you need some
more practice. Just focused, Like, let's like drop the hype.
I mean, if if you want to have a long
(13:09):
career in track and field and you want to win
and you know, be Alison Felix, then just focus, yes,
just focus all right now. I want to get into
the fact that this is virgo season. Okay, so just
that everyone can understand what that means. I'm a virgo
(13:32):
on my birthday is a couple of weeks and everyone
so this is like the time for like people who
are just like perfect and okay, okay, I'm kidding, um,
but you know this is this is like when because
virgos all get each other and we understand each other.
And if somebody tells me that they're virgo, I'm like,
I'm here for I get it. It's immediate, I get it.
(13:56):
And we don't make any apologies for who and what
we are. No, not a not a one. So you
know what's so crazy to me? I have so so
many close people in my life that are virgos. Is
there and I haven't actually looked this up. Is there
a compatibility between aries and virgos? Um? I know, I know,
definitely tourists and virgos for sure, because I have a
(14:18):
million and you're kind of on the cusp a little bit,
are you know you're not? Okay? I have a lot
of tourists in my life, and I know that that's
like a good mix. Yeah, yeah, I have Okay, like you, Carle,
our director of operations. My my best friend Joy from college,
one of my best friends from childhood, Candice, my son Carter,
(14:42):
my um wants cousin Brandon who lived with us, who
I'm really close with. Shirley. No, Shirley's Leo. I have
a lot of Leo's too. But it's so weird. I'm
like all these virgos. Beyonce my best friend, like yes,
let's call yes Beyonce. Like it's I just feel like
I don't it's something there. It's so weird, and it's
(15:03):
like it's it's like I know how to deal with them,
like they're so annoying, Like I mean we are. We
are annoying and we make no bones about it. And
it's because they're just so like, you know, cocky, and
they think they're right all the time. And I just
know how to be like all right, whatever, Okay, you know,
I'm just like how to deal with this it's like
oh my god, or they're like, don't ask you like
(15:24):
fifty times if you've done it already, like yes, you
want to do it? Leaves me alone. Oh, just for
you to understand, like I'm the quintessential virgo, like I
was raised by virgos. My mother's a virgo, my father's
a virgo. So I didn't stand a chance. But just
just r yea and I'm fine with it. Yes, that's
(15:44):
that's that's your I mean. But it's like but right,
So like to know you, to know a virgo is
to love them because like if you can't deal with virgo,
then it's almost like like that's like a test in life,
you know what I mean. If you could deal with
a virgo, you could deal with anything. Yes, Like if
you could make in New York, you can make it anywhere.
Same with her gos. Um okay, So I kind of
want to get messy a little bit because um, the
(16:07):
curries are getting a divorce and it didn't got good. Okay.
We're being messy okay, and it's fine. People don't don't
come for us because we're being messy. But it's getting
good okay. And you never want to say it's getting
good when people getting a divorce, but it is getting juicy, okay.
I mean because you just like looked at them like,
oh my god, what the like you know, like the Huxtables,
(16:29):
like they were like the perfect family and they were
just also beautiful and they have these beautiful kids and
you know, successful kids. And I'm like, there's a lot
that's been going on in the Curry house. Let me
run it down, Okay, del You've been having all kinds
of mistresses for the whole thirty years you'll been married already.
Know if it's thirty, I don't know. And like it
(16:49):
was kind of like she knew about it. It was
kind of like look the other way a little bit.
So you know this this I hate to say this
because like everyone looks at like Stephen Aisha it's like
so perfect. But I'm like the Apple Does from the
Train said, no, I'm not. I'm hoping that's not the case.
But it's just to say, like, let's never put perfect
(17:13):
on anybody exactly yes, perfect, because I would look like, oh,
that's so perfect, and then I'm like he's an NBA player,
I shouldn't know better. But then I'm like, uh, you know,
but we like them together. We like that together. We
hope everything is perfect, but like, let's never yeah, put
perfect on anyone in anyone that tries to pretend like
they're perfect. We know a lot of those. But anyway, okay,
(17:35):
so getting back to end, well, yeah, getting back to
the t so um Sonya apparently had a little fling
on this spot. She had a little boo who she's
deal with, but she says she's not anyway, She's trying
to protect her assets. But the point of the story
is good for her that she got a boot right. Yes,
if Dolls out there slaying his things, yes she needed
(17:57):
to go do her thing too. Yeah, I mean mad
as Sonya, do you boom? I wonder how long that
was going on for though, you know what I mean,
I don't know, but Dalla is mad. And this is
the thing, this is the thing. A man wants to
do what he want to do, but when he finds
out that you're doing something on the side, let me
just explain to everybody, he can't take it. His ego
can't take it. He is like raging mad and he
(18:20):
wants to burn down the house. And that's what he's doing.
He can't take it. You don't want to get He's
imagining every position. Yeah, he's like I wonder if he
puts your leg over your head, like got you. And
(18:41):
I hope that Steven Johnson or whatever his name is
was breaking her back out. Okay, I hope he was listen.
And she's beautiful, right, Okay, So one day this I
was at um my brother in law played for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh and I was at a game at Georgetown and
somebody came up to me. It was like, are you
(19:03):
Steph Curry's mother? And okay, so imagine like and this
was like, okay, this was literally like years ago, like
Germaine was like I don't know, thirty six now, so
like this was when he was in college almost freaking
fifteen years ago. And I'm literally like, okay, that's a
(19:24):
compliment because she's pretty. She's beautiful, But do you think
I look that old to be Steph Curry's mother. I
was so like what, but I mean it has been said,
and I would never not say that because I'm getting
Trump anyway, but yeah, she is, she is very she
is very pretty. Um So I again say to uh
(19:48):
ms sonya Curry? Uh and when I was reading all
the information about it, I did say to myself, there
should not be any there's so much money involved, Like
Steph has money, the dad has money, Like everybody got
all this money. Like why are we fighting over money? Right?
But are they really I mean how like how much
do we really know? Well, we know Steph Curry just
signed like, well, but that's not their money. I know
(20:09):
he would right to the money, right, but he would
take care of his mother if dad was not taking
care of mom, right right? And then Dell, I'm sorry,
don't even play the basketball game in umpteen years? So
how much money were talking? He don't have no money.
I mean, I'm not saying that. I don't know. But
they were married for thirty three years. So one when
he hears it, like he's all like, you know, oh
that's sad, He's like, I mean, but they might as
(20:30):
well just stay together. They've been together for thirty three years.
And I'm like, no, right, no, right, because your parents
just divorced after thirty something the thirty two maybe right. Yeah.
So it's I feel like sometimes older people they like
they're like, get out of my face doing this ship
no more? Yes, and I don't want to be the
one to wipe your ass when you get older and
(20:52):
I'm stuck with I don't like you, and I don't
want to have to take care of you exactly so,
and and go find you a young girl to go
do it. Because yes, and she's a hottie. She's still cute.
She might even look better than her son's wife. But
that's I didn't say that out loud. Okay, I mean
she's beautiful. That was the shade in me. Okay, let's
(21:13):
just move on, all right, I do very quickly wanted
because we need to get to the meat of this episode. Um,
can we talk about Biden for a minute, because I
want to say a little prayer for Biden because I
think we dropped the ball. Yeah, okay, So for those
of you all that's perfect job, you know, for those
of you all have been under a rock. This whole
Afghanistan thing has been bothering me, and I don't want
(21:36):
to get into the meat of all of that because
this is not seeing in. But goddamn was a disaster,
my god, disaster. But did we I didn't Okay, in
Biden's defense, did we? I didn't think it was gonna
be a disaster so fast, like it the data band
took over an eight seconds, were like for went in there,
(22:01):
like okay, let me. We can't make fun of that.
This is not funny. Is the issue is? Though? It's
not even that the Taliban moved in so quickly and
took over. It's that we didn't get the people out,
American people specifically before pulling them pulling the military out.
And I don't think, in hindsight, I don't think that
(22:21):
Biden felt like it was going to be an issue
to get the Americans out or to get out who
ever wanted to leave. I didn't think that it was
all this was going to happen, and didn't think that
then women and children were unsafe, right or young girls
that were unsafe. So like no, I don't think anybody
saw a comment. And I kind of want to get
Biden a hug a little bit because it's a disaster.
(22:44):
But can you imagine, I just it's so this is
like such an unknown world. I'm like, so it's weird.
It's it's really sad because it is like this is
a crisis that's going on and we live our daily
lives like and don't even like think about it, it's
like so sad that this is happening. Um, but it's like,
(23:04):
what was the Afghanistan army doing when this was happening?
They dropped their guns and ran, So that's what they
were doing. What do you mean? Like why why was
that able? Like why did that happen? Because? Okay, so
as soon as the US left because they were they
were um with the U. S. Army working together. As
(23:25):
soon as the U. S. Army was pulled out and
they saw the Taliban coming, they dropped their guns and ran.
So so the so the Afghan people were clearly left
with no protection. So did the US or did Joe
Biden whomever is responsible think that, like the Afghan army
was strong enough to handle this, correct, Like Okay, you
(23:46):
guys are in power, you guys got this. You guys
got this. And that lasted literally it didn't I think
eleven days it lasted it. You know, we don't know
did the Afghan military tell the US you know what,
we're good, y'all conroll? Like do we of that? There
was From what I understanding, there was brief things done
and that Biden was told that there's a possibility that
(24:08):
this is gonna go wrong. Not a probability, a possibility.
I don't know what, you know, just it's just semantics here.
But um, it didn't has it? Clearly Biden knows he's
got to redirect and make change course, switch course. But
in the meantime, because you know, Biden is, oh, he's
uncle Joe, and I just want to give him because
I know he knows he sucked out. Yeah, this is
(24:30):
a disaster. Oh yeah, he sucked up. Yes, But but
apparently and I'm almost like, you know, but other people
there's you know, he's not the only one given the
orders and the commands or whatever. But apparently he was
so like experienced and involved in Afghanistan like your prior
that like it is probable that this was all on
(24:51):
his call, all on him. All right, we're gonna switch
gears because um, we put out a question on to
you guys are listeners, and y'all answered, and oh my gosh,
y'all are funny. I mean, y'all make me and robbing
a funny. No, y'all are funny. Okay, And the question
was and and the title of this episode is I'm
shallow and I hate my ex. Okay, because and the
(25:14):
reason why that's the title is because of the responses
that y'all have given. Okay, y'all are hilarious. The question
that we asked you, guys was give us shallow reasons
why you broke up with your ex. Yes, I would
get a kick out of reading these, like so funny. Alright, alright,
so Robert, what you got here first? Okay, this one
(25:35):
is hilarious. High Ladies. This is from will Marie. High
Ladies love You and the pod. This is my shallow
reason why I broke up with him. He wore tidy whities.
I don't even let my kids wear tidy whities. Okay,
you more tidy whities. That's it. It may be shallow,
(25:56):
but I could not get past it. He looked like
a damn todd I can't date a grown man who
wore those. Okay, but a part of me feels like,
why didn't you just tell him that he's are inappropriate
for a grown man? Because I like, Okay, I'm sorry,
I think that's that's like the shallow part. It's like,
you know what, this is horrible, and the fact that
(26:16):
you even chose to war these speaks mountains about your
like who you are, like your corny and you're a loser,
Like there's no way I'm even having this conversation with you,
and what if he like debated her on that was like,
well it pick my balls feel good, you know what
I'm saying, Like, oh, but I need to I need
to hold my penis in really tight, like you know
what I mean, I need ball support, she said, right,
(26:38):
she said, we were, she said, by the way, we
were in our twenties. I'm thirty now and still think
about that first time I saw those on him. Men
out there, please, this is a message to you many needs.
Do not wear tidy whiteis unless you were in your eighties,
not even not even then, not even then, Why are
you wearing anything? And your eighties your balls need to
like be free, so you wouldn't wear it. Then. I
(27:02):
feel like when you're eight eighties you might need to
just hold some stuff in that you know. But like, yes,
I feel you on that girl, M I feel you too. Okay,
I got one, all right, So this is from Jordan's Crosby. Okay,
so she said, the shallow reason why I broke up
with him was because he ate garlic wings and came
(27:25):
to bed without showering. It was seeping from his pores
and he smelled repulsive. Okay, okay, now that is shallow.
If you didn't know, now you know, because I couldn't
(27:48):
you just tell him to go take a shower or like,
but if it's if if he ate the garden, the
shower is not going to get rid of the garlic
that's seeping through his pores. No, it's not like it's
not it's it's like, damn, he just had too much
garlic and asked him, you know, to not do that again.
Right right? What? Oh, oh my gosh. Emily said, I
(28:11):
broke up with a guy because he wore white socks
and black pants, y'all not okay, he was Michael Jackson.
Was that? Yes? No, Michael Jackson. Did he wear whites? Yes? Yes, yes,
So sequently Emily was dating Michael Jackson. So I actually
hate I don't like white socks, like athletic socks. Who
(28:33):
does annoy me when one wears them? Right? But in
I like ankle socks, and one we're like the ones
like up to his like calf. Okay, I'm just like
like stop wearing that. But I'm not going to break
up with him because, of course not because you'll have
two children together. Okay, I have to give a story
as to why it's a shallow thing that I felt
was the reason for me. I don't know if I've
told the story before they give you the elevator story. Yes,
(28:55):
that's how we got okay, Okay, So just for y'all
who didn't hear it, we got to hear because this
guy would like talk to people in the elevator and
that just like drove me completely insane and I broke
up with him. Okay, So that was shallow one. I
do have a shot another shadow thing that I did.
So this was back in the day before we have phones,
(29:16):
and how we were able to I noticed very foreign
to young people. How we were able to um find
places to eat restaurants was like from the white yellow pages.
So um or calling four one one and when you
call four one on the phone number to the weather,
Remember that what was the weather? Um to? Okay, we'll
(29:38):
call and it'll tell you the weather, and then you
can call it to get the time. At the tone
the time will be. So if you wanted to know
where things were, you would call four one one before
on one costs like a dollar okay, that there was
a cost associated with that. So I was dating this millionaire, wow,
I mean a trillionaire, like he owned all all kinds
of ship right. He lived in Richmond, and I had
(30:00):
come down to see him or whatever, and we were
trying to figure out where we were going to eat
that you know, where this is going and I and
he was like, oh, we'll just well, we'll figure it out.
And I was like, well, we gotta figure out like
where we're going and we have to maybe make a reservation.
And he was like, I said, I'll just call you know,
four on one. He was like no, no, just we're
just gonna look it up on a yellow in the
Yellow Pages. I was like, no, I'm just gonna call
four one one. He was like, well no, I mean,
(30:22):
you know, because he didn't want me to spend the call.
This freaking millionaire did not want me to spend a dollar.
Cheap principles, stard, you cheap bastard. I broke up with
him on the spot. I was like, out here, it
was the principal. He didn't want to be with a
lazy woman, as lazy, spoiled woman that would not open
(30:42):
the Yellow pages listen, listen, listen up. Do you know
what I said to him? I said, I'm gonna call
I'm gonna use four one one to figure out what
time the next plains for me to fly out of here.
And I did, and I flew home. And I haven't
spoken to him since. I don't know if that was shallow.
You should just say his name put him out there. No,
I'm not gonna do that anyway. Back to the y'all's
(31:11):
crazy answers and responses to Okay, I mean this this
one is like not not it's not surprising. But so
I have broken up with a guy because he was
too short, his penis was too small, he didn't have
a car, job or crib. He made me pay for dinner. Thanks, ladies.
I mean, that's not shallow. That's not shallow. You should
(31:33):
have broke up her head. Oh those are big red
exs like okay, So, how do we deal with small penises?
Like do we do? Do we base it off? I know?
I mean no, I have I have seen a couple,
and do we deal with the ocean and the motion
or do we deal with other things that he might
(31:54):
be doing to overcompensate for the small penis. I mean
I would assume because okay, this is my assumption. Like
your finger is not big, right, Like you can please
yourself with your finger, so why can't you of small
penis please you? Dr Phil said, And I saw this
on his show, and I said to the to the TV.
(32:15):
As I was watching it, he was like, all the
women a woman needs is three inches. I said, I said, doctor,
not Dr Phil. I'm sorry, Dr Oz. This is what
Dr Oz said. This was scientific. I said, doctor, do
you a damn lie? And I turned the TV off? Okay, anyway,
moving on, Okay, So ginger A Seagal said her shallow
(32:35):
reason for breaking up with him was he drooled on
my straight hair during a makeout session and made a
section wet and curl. Now, that would piss me to
hell off. Do you know how hard there? So I watched,
I watch you. That's not shallow. That is real. In
the fields ruled, first of all, why are you drooling?
(32:58):
Why are you drooling? And then you're drawing on my
freaking hair, messing up my hair? Oh my god. Yeah no,
that's not shallow. That was a good reason to break
up with his ass Oh my god, Okay, shallow Sandy says,
I love you guys on rhop and your podcast. I
appreciate all the laughs you provide. People look at me
like I'm crazy when I'm walking down the street with
(33:20):
air pods. Inn love it. People just like walking and laughing.
That's awesome. She says. I dated a guy who was
a football player, and he was fairly built and like
to wear fitted athletic shirts. Unfortunately, he was Greek and
very hairy. His arms look like a sweater and then
he wore those stupid fitted shirts. I couldn't stand it.
(33:42):
I broke up with him because he was too hairy. Yeah.
That see, I would like, how do you even get
to the point where you're breaking up? Like how do
you even like start dating that? I don't you know
what I mean? Like, but and then it's like, okay,
I wonder if by now if he has figured out
he needs to wax, that he needs to wag his head. Yes,
Harry's sweater arms, yes, Okay, So Mark Sachet, he's gay
(34:07):
and he talks about his ex boyfriend. Okay, so he said,
So I had an ex boyfriend who was lovely. He
didn't have bad teeth, they were white. No, but like
they looked a little baby or catee like they weren't crooked,
but they were a little too spaced out. I couldn't
(34:30):
get past. Oh my god, I couldn't get past. It,
couldn't get past. But the funny thing, like y'all really
give people a chance. I think it's like, okay, if
you mark when you saw him, I had the baby
or teeth right right, Like why did you If you
didn't like it, then why wasn't because he was a
nice guy. Like a lot of times he's like, oh,
(34:50):
he's a nice guy. I'm gonna give him a chance.
But I feel like if it's something you just it's
bothering you, Like why do you even like go down
the road of why do you entertain it? Because I
mean know, people want to feel like they're not that shallow.
That's a good point, that's a good point. But I
feel like he could have also suggested that the guy
get racist. But then that's kind of mean, right, that's
kind of mean. Right now, I've had this problem, and
(35:13):
I you know, this is this this is the shallow
with me because I kept him around for a long time,
and this is the reason why Jimmy Old said I
broke up with him because we had nothing in common,
but dated him because his dick was perfect. I can
I can say, yeah, I felt victim to that. They
probably happens all the times. Yes, it's perfect, Paennis. Yeah,
(35:43):
um okay, so I you know I've been with one
for a long time. Yes, I do have like a
little small story. So after one and I divorced, I
was like outdating guys just you know, not nothing serious
or whatever. And the this guy that I was on
a date with, he was like, yeah, I'm looking to
(36:05):
get married soon. And I was like and like I
couldn't get out of that restaurant faster. But okay, but
you know, it was so funny because I'm sure he
thought I wanted to hear the opposite, you know, because
most women want to know, you know, what are your plans?
Where you what are you trying to do? Yes? He
are you talking about marriage? I said, oh, no, like
you know, I'm not, I'm not. I'm just looking for
(36:26):
a fun time. Yes, I'm just looking for a good
night tonight. And that's it. And if you call me
too many times, I'm gonna block my number, all right.
So Tony may Zach said don't judge me. Okay, there's
no judgment here. It's a judgment free zone on reasonably shady.
But he invited me to dinner at his house. Got there.
(36:48):
It was in the projects. I go inside, but that's
you know, can't judge people, even if you live in
the hood. Is fine, but they go inside. And he
served dinner off paper plates and serve me cool aid.
Deal done. Never spoke to him again. Sorry, Oh my god, listen,
(37:08):
ain't not wrong with paper plates and kool aid. Y'all
are wrong out here in the streets. I mean, listen,
why Okay, he had to have known that, like you
gotta do better. Maybe he didn't like that's but but no,
that that doesn't work. Okay, but listen, sometimes people have
to work within their means. He might not have had
(37:29):
the means to get real plates, clearly, and I feel
like he didn't have the means and he actually didn't
even know better, because I mean, if he's serving you
kool aid, like he didn't know better? Like how old
were we here? That's what I want to know? How
old were we? Yeah, we need to follow up information
because I feel like, yeah, for the further questions, I
need to ask, Yeah, I mean, but still like he
(37:52):
should have taken her out. So, um, this is funny.
He walked on my freshly vacuumed car bit that I
was doing to stage an apartment. It took me forever
to get that diamond design in that carpet. Yes, he
got the boot and I rented the apartment. Damn, you
don't play, y'all are me? She doesn't play about her
(38:16):
carpet design. Y'all are mean? Okay, So, so Chanie said, hey, ladies,
been loving both of you enjoyed the episodes. Um, so
I was dating this handsome guy and who had it
all together, just a fine brother overall. But anytime we
went out to eat, he ate like it was his
(38:37):
last meal. Everybody knows somebody like that, and somebody like
that might be me, I like talking about because or
rob because we greedy, okay. Um. So then she went
on to say he always inhaled the food and legit
never left any crumbs. It happened a couple more times before,
(39:00):
and I eventually goes to do she couldn't take it.
Maybe the dude was hungry and then he probably ate
like really really fast. Yes he was fast. Kind Yes, yes,
I mean, but I guess it's like when you're like
just getting to meet someone, it's like those little things
can just irritate you, like like damn, like, can we
(39:21):
have a conversation over dinner. I'm just gonna okay, but
maybe maybe you want to eat and then yes, that's funny.
That is funny. Okay. So Lane says their allergies annoyed me,
which I get that because when our wand is sick,
(39:43):
I want to knock him out, like, dude, if you
don't shut up with that coughing? So is it? Is
it sneezing? Oh? Yeah? I wonder what the allergies are
because they could be like a food allergy. That would
be annoying to write. You know, we're breaking up people
because they have allergies. I mean, hetty if you have
no tolerance for for allergies. Okay. I thought it was
(40:06):
like you're gonna take the good with the bad, sickness
in and health. Yeah, they must not have been offering
a whole lot more. Yeah, and I think people make excuses,
but I okay, okay, what if you're a foodie. Okay,
so this day this is a food allergy? Right, and
you're a foodie and you want to go out to dinner,
you want to go on dates and everywhere you say
you want to go there like I can't go there
(40:29):
because I'm allergic, and I'll right, okay, so okay, so
I can say this. I was married to this guy,
I think his name is Jamal, and he hates Mexican food.
So for our entire marriage, we never stepped foot. I
never had a taco, I never had like chips, and
I have girlfriends that like Mexican. So anytime I got
(40:49):
with my girlfriends, I was like, let's go to please
go to Mexico. I was like begging, can I have
a taco? Please? He was like, just zeal us all
I ask for? We don't go to Mexican. And I'm like,
what sure? What is your beef with a type on something? Yes?
So yeah, I get it. I mean, you know, we
make compromises in life, but some things are not compromisable. Yes, yes, yes,
(41:12):
all right, let's see what else we are we got anymore?
I just go down the list. Okay, let's let's get
one more, let's get more funny. I just grow down.
I got the motherfucker was uglier in person. That's that's
grounds for a breakup, not uglier in person. So what
you met him on tender? I guess so people fool
(41:33):
people out here can't that doesn't work. Or you meet
someone in a club and it's like dark, and then
you're like, okay, let's go, let's go out, and you
go out the next day and you're like, or have
you ever been to a club? Right? You ever been
to a club? And then like the lights turn on
at the end and you're like, holy shit talking to
you this whole night? Why I been talking to you?
(41:57):
And then you're like, oh my gosh, I need some
fresh here. I need to get out of here. Or
when a guy who wears hats when he takes his
hat off, Oh my god, some guys look really good
in hats and then they take that hat off and
their ugliest ship they have an egghead. Yes, yes, that
so I have one other like and this is actually
not a shallow reason. So I was like dating this
(42:18):
baseball player and black guys, baseball player of brown skin,
and he actually said something, he commented like, oh I
wish my skin was lighter. Yeah that was that was
Oh my god, that was a wrap for me. I
was like, what who says that? No, that's bad. That
wasn't even shallow. I was just like, I can't like
someone over here like saying anything want their women. He
(42:39):
said he was a rapper, a baseball player. Robin was
satting a baseball player. I mean like it was like
a couple of days. Okay, alright, alright, but he literally
said he wanted a skin to be lighter. I was like,
because he's an idiot. Yeah, I'm like red flag right there,
like flag on the play out. Yes. All right, well, people,
we hope that we have highly entertained you guys this evening,
(43:02):
because guess what, I'm entertained word. I know we could
keep going, y'all, list long, we could get going. So listen,
we're gonna put out another question. We're gonna put that
out on our socials, and you guys have not disappointed.
So thank you so much for responding. Um be on
the lookout for our next question. I don't know what
it is yet. We haven't come up with it yet.
(43:23):
Membrane is not working. Yeah, but it's gonna be good.
But until then, people, we love you. Thank you so
much for continuing to tune in. Don't forget to live
your life either reasonable or shady or both. Yes, are y'all? Bye?
