Okay, So Rob and I have I think a joint
shady moment.

This is actually speaks to our two hundredth episode. We
should have a joint shady right, Yes, okay? So Rob
and I went to New York the other day and
we'll get to the event in a few but we
were traveling home, yes, and we were like it was early.
It was like we had a nine o'clock train from
New York to the Maryland area.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yes, got, which we do all the time. We do
this all the time. Frequently.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
I have done this over two hundred times, right, speaking
of two hundred tapisode, I've done this a million times.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yes.

So me and Robin, we're in the Manahan train station
in New York and we just talking to eek oh.
We see people lining up to go. You have to
go down this little escalator to get down to the train.
So we see people lining up, We get in line,
we go down, we get on our train. We weren't
sitting together, so I had a different seats than Robin.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Robin's a different car than me. So we're sitting down
and the train starts moving and I'm just like, oh, now,
mind you. When I got on the train, this woman
was sitting in my seat, so I was excuse me, ma'am,
this is my seat, and she was like, oh, this
my seat. Day must have double booked us. We're gonna
talk to the conductor. So I was like, yeah, we'll
just wait for the conductor to come.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
So I'm sitting in this seat and I'm chilling, and
we waiting for the conductor. And the conductor came and
was like, ma'am, you're on the wrong train.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Wrong train going in the wrong direction, and the wrong
We're going to Connecticut, guys. And if you get a map,
you can see we're going in the wrong direction.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
We're in New York going to Connecticut. Were supposed to
be going to Maryland?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yes, yes, and.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
That first stop forty minutes away. It's forty minutes away.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Forty minutes.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Typically the stops are like fifteen minutes or so. We're
not really with the a seller because we were on
in a cellar.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
We were on in a cellar, yes, right, so they
kind of skipped like the smaller stations, yes, but yeah,
there are stations in between between New York City and Stamford, Connecticut.
There certainly were stations that they could have stopped at,
but they did not. So anyway, the lady was very sweet.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
She was like, okay, she talked to the conductor and
we had to get off the train at Stanford, uh
huh and zoom over to this other track and jump
on another train. Yes, And they knew we were coming,
so they were like, just throw them in the cafe car.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
We we ain't gonna have no seats. Just set the
cafe car.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
So let's let's rewind those So Giselle's finding out that
she's in the wrong car, and I guess I must
not have been looking at my phone. It's like she
texted me saying we're in the wrong car.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
So I'm like sitting and so then the conductor gets
to me and same thing. She's looking at my ticket
and she's like me, can I that again? Let me
see it again, and she's like, you're on the wrong train,
and I was like what and me, I just start
busting out laughing.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
I'm like, oh my gosh, like how did this happen?
Speaker 1 (06:10):
We're so stupid, like we it is no one's fault
but our own.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
I'm cracking up. So then I called you owne and
she's like, oh my gosh, I'm freaking out.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
I was like, I'm dying, dying upset and I'm cracking up.
I'm like, okay, I think it's funny. I don't find
this funny at all.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Okay, this is like ridiculous, and I'm hyper ventilating. So
my time the lady gets to me, she was like,
are you with that other lady? And I said, yes,
both of us are idiots. Gone the wrong freaking train. Okay,
So we get on, we get to Standford, we zoom
on to train number ninety five, Yes, which was on
track three. We got in track two, but in order
to get to another track, you gotta go upstairs around

the corner downstairs, and we only had like three minutes
to do this.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Well, luckily, so track, the train we were trying to
catch was running late.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
If they weren't running late, we were going to have
to wait for the next train, which.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Was going to be an hour later.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, So luckily, somehow, you know, that worked out in
our favor.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
We were able to hop on train ninety five.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
So we on ninety five, and the conductor's like, look,
you know we gotta you gotta call and change your
actual record because you know, the average they need our
ticket because they need to know where we are.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
So okay, the fact that on the other train, this lady,
then the lady who checked your ticket gave us a
little slip, and the slip said, train number ninety five,
give this to the conductor. Right, we got on the
wrong train, like like it was a sliptle kid. Yeah,
going to clack a hall pass go to the bathroom,

crazy and we and we handed it over like like
this is kind of like this is our.

So we changed our train. Robin closed the people.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
We do it the right way.

Yes, okay, let's back up. My first the train that
we was taking, I thought I was going home.

I was in first class. Yes, she was in first class.
Robin was in business class. Well I didn't buy this ticket,
by the way. Yeah, yeah, this was a work she was.
We were both there for work related events.
Speaker 3 (08:11):

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, we got on that train of a ninety five.
We called to change our seats. Is we was a
coach Okay, we was in the back of the bus
where where you pick your own seat. Yes, and that
was unfamiliar with that concept.

I know I've experienced that before, so I knew that
that's what we were going to have to do. Whoo,
so the story continues.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yes, so wait, so Robin picks our seats. See, I
just kind of felt like God wanted us to travel
together and have a moment.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
It spent some time to get because we got some
things accomplished. Yes, okay, we talked.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
We go back. Oh God, this is what I get scared, y'all.
We go back to our seats, right, our coach seats, yes.

In the back, and we sit down.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
And Robin was trying to recline her chair. Yes, and
it was a maze sitting behind Robin's chair.

No, he wasn't, but directly behind me he was.

I was in the window seat, he was in the
out seat right, and there was no one behind me. No.
So I go to recline my seat back, and before
my seat could even fully recline, he hits the back
of my back of my chair.

Yeah, like hits it, like jokes it up. Yeah.

And I was like, well, damn, I'm sorry, and then
he goes, sure you are.

I was like, so wait, so when this is happening,
I'm talking to one of my kids, So I'm not
really understanding what's happening. And then I get off the
phone and I turned around to look at who Robin
is talking to.

This is the biggest man I've ever.

Seen in my entire life, Like he could have been
three hundred pounds and like six' five like.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
He was four hundred. Pounds, clearly he.

Said So i'm, Like robin's picking a fight with the
biggest man on the, Train like what are we doing?
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Here And robin does not back. Down she was, LIKE i,
MEAN i GUESS i can't recline my. Seat and he was, like,
YEAH i said WHAT i? Say she was, like what
what you? Say like they're going back and. Forth jesselle's
cringing into a. BALL i do not want to fight
on the train BECAUSE i can't fight.

This big ass. Man he's big as, shit.

Okay And robin is like looking at me, like, OKAY
i think IF i wasn't, There robin would have fought the.

reclined ability on these.

we WERE i THINK i. Was originally my train left at.

NINE i was supposed to get, home like get to
the station like eleven thirty. EIGHT i didn't get To
it's probably what pushed us back like two. Hours, yeah,
probably you, know close to two. O'clock that like took.

ME i was exhausted the rest of the. DAY i was,
exhausted AND i had so much to. Do WHEN i got,
HOME i was. Exhosted, no one can't so.

That but the Whole i'm, like there's no, one no
one in this, world not one single person to blame
for us getting on the wrong train Besides Jaselle bryant

It Black effects started five years, ago, Reasonably shady started
four and a half years. Ago and so the fact
that they took a chance on us when we didn't
even have a podcast to show them like, hey listen
to our work or these are our, Numbers like they
took a chance on, us someone that did not have
a podcasting experience at, all it really like in, retrospect

it means so much more to me now just, understanding, like,
damn they were new and trying to like make a
name for themselves and to really develop a, great.

I don't, know selection of, podcasts and they chose us
to be on their podcast when we had absolutely zero
experience and a lot of their other podcasts had already been.

like thank them for taking a chance on. Us but

network is, amazing And i'm so excited for the network
BECAUSE i think it's just so well rounded AND i
think there's so much more for them to accomplish and
to totally just to keep keep evolving and keep adding

and I went to New York the other day and
we'll get to the event in a few but we
were traveling home, yes, and we were like it was early.
It was like we had a nine o'clock train from
New York to the Maryland area.

Yes, got, which we do all the time. We do
this all the time. Frequently.

I have done this over two hundred times, right, speaking
of two hundred tapisode, I've done this a million times.

So me and Robin, we're in the Manahan train station
in New York and we just talking to eek oh.
We see people lining up to go. You have to
go down this little escalator to get down to the train.
So we see people lining up, We get in line,
we go down, we get on our train. We weren't
sitting together, so I had a different seats than Robin.

Robin's a different car than me. So we're sitting down
and the train starts moving and I'm just like, oh, now,
mind you. When I got on the train, this woman
was sitting in my seat, so I was excuse me, ma'am,
this is my seat, and she was like, oh, this
my seat. Day must have double booked us. We're gonna
talk to the conductor. So I was like, yeah, we'll
just wait for the conductor to come.

So I'm sitting in this seat and I'm chilling, and
we waiting for the conductor. And the conductor came and
was like, ma'am, you're on the wrong train.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Wrong train going in the wrong direction, and the wrong
We're going to Connecticut, guys. And if you get a map,
you can see we're going in the wrong direction.

We're in New York going to Connecticut. Were supposed to
be going to Maryland?

That first stop forty minutes away. It's forty minutes away.

Typically the stops are like fifteen minutes or so. We're
not really with the a seller because we were on
in a cellar.

We were on in a cellar, yes, right, so they
kind of skipped like the smaller stations, yes, but yeah,
there are stations in between between New York City and Stamford, Connecticut.
There certainly were stations that they could have stopped at,
but they did not. So anyway, the lady was very sweet.

She was like, okay, she talked to the conductor and
we had to get off the train at Stanford, uh
huh and zoom over to this other track and jump
on another train. Yes, And they knew we were coming,
so they were like, just throw them in the cafe car.

We we ain't gonna have no seats. Just set the
cafe car.

So let's let's rewind those So Giselle's finding out that
she's in the wrong car, and I guess I must
not have been looking at my phone. It's like she
texted me saying we're in the wrong car.

So I'm like sitting and so then the conductor gets
to me and same thing. She's looking at my ticket
and she's like me, can I that again? Let me
see it again, and she's like, you're on the wrong train,
