Speaker 1 (00:02):
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Matthew twenty three eleven. Dear Lord, I want to follow
in my Saviour's footsteps to be a servant leader too.
Please help me to open my heart so that I
may receive your inspiration. Please help to guide my hand

(00:22):
so that I may know the actions you want me
to take. And please loosen or still my tongue so
that I may speak only the words you want spoken.
Thank you, Lord in Jesus' name. Amen.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
And I pray for twenty minutes a day when I
wake up. I call it meditation, But I pray. I
think about what I want and how I'm and why
I want it and how I'm going to get it.
And I do it with radical humility as a leader
that I'm not alone, that I am going to get

(00:58):
out of my own way and allow everything that I
want to come to me rapidly and accurately. And how
do I do that? Very simple? When I pray, I
think about what I want immediately, giving me a mathematical
advantage as a leader over everybody else. Why Because the
minute I realize and clarity, balance and focus with confidence
with that I want, it's a possibility, a mathematical advantage

(01:20):
over most people on earth. I have a possibility. And
then if I can be inspired, if I can think
about my values and I can feel inspiration in connection
right and connected to goodness, connected to God, connected to
what I believe in that inspiration, I now have even
a bigger superior advantage because my possibility when I'm inspired,

(01:42):
becomes a probability, a probability, a mathematical advantage. I haven't left,
my eyes haven't even opened. I've just been praying every morning.
I take, by being of service and being inspired, every
possibility of what I can think about what I want,
and I make it a probability. What is the possibility,
the why? The inspiration is my probability. And then all

(02:03):
I gotta do is get out of my own way,
be aware of the ego, the car rolling down the hill,
the time, anxiety, guilt, separation, inferiority, superiority, all these things,
and use strategy number one. Strategy very simple. How can
I be of service? And can you think of anyone
that can help me? Discipline do stuff every day. I

(02:24):
prioritize and I do stuff religiously every day in the
pursuit of my potential.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
In this episode of Relentless Hope, award winning humanitarian and
CEO of Sports One Marketing, David Meltzer teaches us about
becoming leaders of service. We learn that leadership is a
side by side relationship and that leadership is more than
just inspiring others. We have to be inspired too, and

(02:54):
we get that inspiration by being in relationship to that
which inspires us, like God in Jesus. As David teaches
us to live an inspired life, we have to understand
that we will face obstacles, voyages, shortages, and challenges. The
key is how quickly we can return to the center,
how quickly we can come back to that relationship which

(03:17):
inspires us. As David says, we can't give what we
don't have, and that inspiration has to come through if
we're to be of service. David shares two simple questions
that leaders must ask themselves. How can I be of service?
And do I know anyone who can help me? David
explains that the first question is about the energy of giving.

(03:41):
The second is about the energy of receiving, which is
hard for many of us. As David shares, we often
don't feel worthy or we don't have a purpose or
a passion behind our receivership, which is being open to
receiving inspiration from God or Jesus in order to allow
that in inspiration to go through us for the benefit

(04:02):
of others. We also learn that leaders need to have
radical humbleness, as David shares, most leaders are of service,
but they are afraid to ask for help and live
in receivership. David teaches us that leaders don't make things happen.
We're not in control. Instead, we allow things to happen.

(04:23):
David also teaches us about the three types of listeners
and how this relates to our ability to listen to
others and receive inspiration from God or Jesus. And we
learn why knowing our values is critical, why it's important
to cultivate empathy and accountability, what it means to be
truly happy and to pursue our potential, and how to

(04:44):
let go of blame, shame and judgment of the past.
David also shares how to stay inspired and motivated to
be of service through effective communication. As David explains, inspiration, awareness,
and an understand comes from the power of faith and hope.
The minute we feel time or our ego getting in

(05:06):
the way. We can return to our center through prayer
or meditation. We hear how David prays for twenty minutes
in the morning, putting positive thoughts into his mind and
heart about what he wants for the world and how
to help make it a better place, how he can
be a better person and raise his awareness, and who

(05:27):
he can be of service to that day. Famous person
quote takeaway for the day. I used to ask God
to help me, then I asked if I might help him.
I ended up by asking God to do his work
through me. Hudson Taylor. All Right, thank you for listening
