Speaker 1 (00:01):
Two are better than one because they have a good
reward for their labor Ecclesiastes four to nine. Dear Lord,
I know how important relationships and connections are, so please
show me how I can experience deeper, more meaningful ones
in my life. Please teach me how to open my

(00:25):
heart so that I may give and receive love, support
and strength, and help me to empower, encourage and uplift
everyone I meet. Thank you Lord in Jesus' name. Amen.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
We know that actions speak louder than words, and so
as leaders, we need to truly walk the walk. And
for me, this needs showing up as what I call
the Chief Energy Officer, the CEO. And as a chief
Energy officer, I know that as my well being, as
my positivity, as my sense of possibility goes, there will

(01:06):
be a ripple effect through my entire organization and through
all the community groups that I lead. So I work
on myself being the best person I can be and
putting myself in the best state possible so that I
can go out there and help others be in the
best state possible. And I do this through having time
in the morning for spiritual connectivity, to get grounded in

(01:29):
a framework beyond myself and to know that I am
here to serve the world, to use my gifts in
my fullest expression to truly impact people and help transform
the planet. And I see myself as being a catalyst
for good, and I want to put myself in the
best state possible to create the greatest good I can.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
In this episode of Relentless Hope, Seth Streeter, founder and
Chief Impact Officer of Mission Wealth, teaches us a bit
about leading from connection connection to our spiritual selves and
our people. We learn how Seth begins each morning in
spiritual connection so he can put himself in the best
state possible to create the greatest good. We learn how

(02:16):
Seth tries to be mindful of all his choices which
add up to the collective impact he can have on
himself and the people he leads, including the seemingly small
choices during the day, from smiling at strangers to being
kind to animals, to the music or podcast he listens to,
and the food he puts into his body. Seth also

(02:36):
teaches us about the power of vulnerability and how he
uses it with his team members and clients. As Seth says,
we don't have to have all the answers. Sometimes it's
just being present with people, listening, and being kind. He
reminds us that it's important to remember that we are
all human beings with emotions, not just human doings. Seth

(02:58):
encourages us to work on our emotional intelligence and ability
to be connected to humans in a deep way. If
we do this, then Seth explains that the people we
lead will be motivated and want to be part of
what we're creating. As Seth shares, he strives to support
empowered beings. As he explains, if he doesn't have an

(03:19):
empowered team, then they're not doing anything as a business.
Seth also encourages us to be playful. He says we
can have fun and still be productive, and he invites
us to smile and connect with our teams on a
personal level rather than only focusing on execution in the task.
We learn how for Seth, being a leader also includes

(03:40):
being positive, listening, caring, and knowing that he has to
be the example that his actions will always speak louder
than his words. We learn some of the marks of
what Seth considers to be great leadership, including being tenacious
and persistent. As he explains, leaders never quit Seth also

(04:01):
gets candid about some of the failures he endured, including
being overly ambitious and setting unrealistic goals. But as we learn,
Seth doesn't shy away from failures. He sees them as
an opportunity to grow, learn, and reapply the lessons for
the future. Seth also teaches us how he identifies people's
strengths across four key areas, including as originators, advancers, refiners,

(04:26):
and implementers, and he explains why it's important as leaders
to understand the strengths, natural, roles, and abilities of our teams.
As we learn, finding personal connections with our teams is
about understanding their unique roles and how we all need
each other to work together toward achieving our long term vision.
As Seth shows, leadership is about knowing people, understanding their

(04:49):
strengths and weaknesses, and having realistic expectations for what we
can achieve. Famous person quote takeaway for the day. When
dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures
of logic, but creatures of emotion. Dale Carnegie, all Right,

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
