Speaker 1 (00:01):
But godliness with contentment is great gain. One Timothy, chapter six,
verse six. Dear Lord, thank you for sharing your word
with me, for giving me examples of how I can
live according to your will, and for teaching me how
to live a more godly life. While I will never

(00:23):
be perfect like you, I vow to work to live
more like you every day. Please help me to be
more honest, humble, disciplined, forgiving and loving. Thank you Lord
in Jesus' name. Amen.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Well, God has the Ten Commandments, tells us to be honest,
tells us what we need to do, how to lead,
And he is the example of what we're really talking about.
He is perfect, we are not. But what we do
need to do is that we need to be more godly.

(01:08):
We need He is the example in front of us
that has taken responsibility. He loved us so much that
he died on the cross for our sins. He took
that all on, shed his blood for us. And when
we're talking about leadership, we're not talking about going to
that degree. But what we should be doing is taking

(01:30):
a look at God, our Lord, who has sacrificed so
much for us that wants us to succeed in every
single thing. He wants us to give us abundance. But
we can't get to that abundance if we don't bring
him into our heart and into our soul and pray.

(01:53):
You know that he will help us and guide us.
And he will. And so it is so important in
leadership to do the things that God ask God to
help you through these things. Try to immic what he's doing,
because he's not doing anything that he didn't already do.

(02:17):
He wants us to come and live the rest of
our lives eternally with him, and the only way that
we're going to get there is to be more like
he is, to be serving other people, helping them to
become good leaders, in sharing who God is and what

(02:39):
God wants, and for helping other people to be able
to get to their goals. Whether it's in business, whether
it's in family, it doesn't make any difference. It's all
the same.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
In this episode of Relentless Hope, shave On, lifestyle pioneer
and co founder and CEO of WTVN, the women's broadcast
television network, teaches us that leaders lead by example, and
she urges us to be more godly. As Shay explains,
will never be perfect like God. We can strive to
be more like God, and she teaches us that as leaders,

(03:17):
people see everything we do. They see who we are,
how we talk, and how we treat people. Shae reminds
us that God gave us the best example for how
to be more Godly in this world. Like Jesus. He
loved us so much that he died on the cross
for our sins, as Shay explains, as leaders, we don't
have to go to that degree, but we should put

(03:38):
our people before ourselves. We should sacrifice so that our
people can succeed. As Shay explains, God wants us to
come and live the rest of our lives eternally with Him,
and the only way we're going to get there is
to be more like Jesus. To serve others, to help
them become good leaders, to share who God is and
what he wants, and to help others reach their goals.

(04:02):
Whether that's in business or in family life, it doesn't
make a difference, it's all the same. Shay also teaches
us that leaders aren't born, they're made, and anyone can
become a leader. We learn about developing certain traits within
ourselves which help us to become better people so we
can become better leaders. Shay teaches us about being authentic

(04:22):
and being disciplined and committed to do whatever work needs
to be done in order to get where you want
to be. She also teaches us about perseverance and never
giving up or walking away. We learn about self control,
understanding that nobody can do our lives for us, about
accepting responsibility for our actions and the outcomes that may

(04:43):
come from our acts, and finally, integrity, being really honest
with ourselves, others, and God. Shaye encourages us to be kind,
to share, to serve, and to keep turning to Jesus
and God who is there to teach us all these
things and more. We also learn about the value of

(05:04):
taking small steps every day and for starting the day
with the right mindset, one filled with gratitude for waking
up and being alive and the gift of life that
God has graced us with. We hear how Shay starts
her mornings by going to the window and saying, it's
a wonderful day, whether the sun shines or its raining.
As Shay explains, it's a wonderful day because she makes

(05:26):
the choice to start her day with something positive and
that comes from within, and she reminds us that every
single day is a blessing from God. Here and now
is a blessing from God. As Shaye teaches us, this
prepares us to deal with whatever comes up. Shay also
encourages us to go to God in prayer, seeking his

(05:46):
counsel on what's best when we're unsure of what to do.
Famous person quote take away for the day. Being a
Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversation. It's a
daily process where by you grow to be more and
more like Christ. Billy Graham, all Right, thank you for
