Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another week of Giadiaries.
I hope everyone had a very RESTful weekend. I know,
Thanksgiving it just passed, and it was, honestly, such a
nice holiday. My mom basically hosts every single holiday because
Louis family's small, we have the bigger house, and it
(00:24):
kind of just falls on her every year.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Every holiday.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
I kind of hop around to each of my family's houses,
you know, kid of divorce. But it does come with
its perks because I get to see so many people
that I love on the holidays and.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Not feel like it's too divided.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
It is also a pain not being able to just
stay at one place all day. We started at my
mom's and all my sisters are home, so it was
so nice to just be all together.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Gabriella had a short her break.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Because she had to get back for the Ohio Michigan game,
and unfortunately Michigan did lose, but she was yelling at
my entire family that we had to watch the game
on Saturday, and it started off a really good game
and then Ohio State came in hot.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Honestly, Jose, being at.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
A football game at Michigan is so insane, like their stadium.
I'm pretty sure it's like one of the biggest in
the US, and it is just crazy. I have never
seen a stadium like that in my life. Gabriella's college
experience fully blows away my college experience. Like that is
(01:47):
what a big ten school is supposed to be, Like
Michigan all the way, Like just everything about Michigan, just
her college town, just everything like that is a real
college experience to me, honestly. So, Gabriella did go home
(02:07):
a little earlier, but we started Thanksgiving at my house.
My mom cooked and it was delicious. Then we made
my way to my Zia Maria's house, who is my
dad's sister.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
And I got to see my nana.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
We made mootzadella and there was just so much there
and so much food. My dad's side they cook for
an army, and there was so much food.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
It was so delicious.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
You have to eat a little bit everywhere you go,
so I thought I was not going to have a
big meal at my aunt's. I got there, you know,
I started serving my plate a little bit out of time,
and the next thing you know, I have a full
plate and I ate the whole plate because it was
just that good.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
On Friday.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I did sleep home on Thanksgiving, and I slept home
on Thanksgiving Eve. It was so funny because I was
telling Ariana that Blackout Wednesday is a really big thing,
and she did not even know what Blackout Wednesday was.
This year, we did things a little different, which was nice,
and Christian stayed local to his town and went out
(03:21):
with his friends, and I went out with my friends
in Morristown, which is kind of like, I want to say,
the Happy Medium to like the Morris County.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Area, and we went there. It was a high school reunion.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
I don't think I've ever done Thanksgiving Eve like that
where it actually felt like a high school reunion. And
I saw so many people from my grade that I
have really not seen since high school. So it was
funny and it was just like crazy to see I'm
the worst. I don't know if anyone else is like this,
but I will know a face always, always, I will
(04:01):
know you by your face. I will know that I
know you, or that I recognize you, or that I
know you from something. I am so bad with names,
and that is something obviously on me. But I couldn't
remember some people's names and I would look over at
(04:22):
my friends and be like, wait, that's Jake Smith and
they were like, no, Gia, that's doing something and I
was like, oh my god, I'm literally the worst. And
they thought it was the funniest thing in the world.
But obviously it was still fun to just like see
familiar faces and actually feel like I was.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
In the middle of a Montville reunion, but.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Ended up meeting up with my cousin too, and it
was actually such a fun night.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
I was dancing. It was great.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
And then on the Friday, I woke up at my
house after Thanksgiving and I just kind of did a
little bit. I ran a couple errands, I got my
nails done. I still have not found a nail place
in Jersey City, but I haven't tried, so it's just
worked out with the holidays and stuff since I've moved.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
In where I could just go get my nails.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Done at home. And then I came back to my
apartment on Friday, and it was funny because my dad
was like, why didn't you just like stay home, and
I was like, well, this is my new home, Like
I really like love being here, and it just is
so nice that I was able to make my space
(05:41):
so cozy and a place that I really enjoy being at,
and it really does feel like my own and I
just feel at peace when I'm here. So I love
it here. I don't know, I just I love it.
And then on Saturday, I ended up getting dinner with
(06:02):
my cousin and we ended up meeting my friends out
in the city afterwards, and that was fun. All the
bars are decorated for Christmas, so it's really cute. And
then on Sunday, Christian and I rotted on the couch
all day and I loved every second of it and
it was amazing. But yeah, no, the holidays are great.
(06:26):
I'm so excited for my sisters to come home for Christmas.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
It's so quick because.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
When you're in school, your winter break is so long,
and after Thanksgiving it feels like you're back at school for.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Like two weeks and then you come back home.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
So yeah, so lots of fun things planned for when
my sisters come home. We are not going away this year,
which is different. We usually do go to my dad
basically every year for New Year's but we all just
have such busy schedules. I'm wrapping up the season filming
next gen m I see, and there's just a lot
(07:04):
going on, so I kind of I think we were
all kind of we all kind of agreed that we
wanted to just stay put this year and just make
our times to go see my dad. So I'm super
excited once my schedule kind of slows down in January
to definitely plan a trip to go see my dad.
(07:25):
It is needed and a much needed reset on the beach.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
It's calling my name.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
I'm excited to just spend that time with my sisters
plan some things. They didn't make the effort to come
see my apartment, which I'm so upset about, but they
did try. On Saturday, Milania and Audreana were on their
way here with my mom and then it popped up
(07:51):
literally as they were on their way here that Audreyana
had a Make a Wish event. I don't know if
you guys ever did that in high school, but it's
the make Away Foundation and Audriana is a part of
the Make a Wish committee. So they had to turn
around and Audriana had to go do that. So they
did try to get here, but definitely over their winter
(08:14):
break they have to come to my apartment. I always
love to plan a Sister's Day. So now that they're
home for winter break, I want to go see the
tree with them and just kind of do Christmas activities
in the city. I always love to do it when
we're all together at points, so obviously Thanksgiving break is
(08:34):
a little bit shorter, so I was able to obviously
be with them on Thanksgiving. In the summer, we always
do a sister Summer Day before they all go back
to school, so I always love to plan something. So
I'm excited to have them all here. I want them
all to sleep over and us to have a cute
little sister's day. So that's definitely in the works. And
(08:58):
we did have Black Friday. Honestly, guys, I don't know
about you, guys. I just think Black Friday shopping is
just not as good as it used to be, like
to go into the stores. I just feel like it's
not as good. My cousins and I used to have
a tradition where after Thanksgiving dinner, we would wait until
(09:21):
twelve o'clock and all go Black Friday shopping, and I
just feel like it's not as good as it used
to be. We would spend all night at Woodbury Commons
and shop through the outlets and just have the best time.
But honestly, I just don't think it's as good as
it used to be. And I don't have the energy
to stay up all night doing Black Friday shopping like
(09:44):
I'd rather do Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday's more my vibe.
I will online shop.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
All day every day, and.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
I'll just if I don't like it, I'll get that
refund and it's like the best thing ever. So definitely
have to start Christmas shopping. I get my sister's gifts.
They do not get me gifts yet, obviously because they're
not really working and they don't make their own money.
But I do love to get everyone in my family
(10:12):
a little something, and I should.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Actually do that today look online for them. But I
would say.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
The hardest person to shop for in my family is
probably my mom because but I think this year, honestly,
I'm just gonna get them all like Skims pajama sets
or like Dairy Boy pajama sets, and I think I'll
call it a day because you can never go wrong
(10:45):
with pajamas. My pajama collection is all Dairy Boy and
all Skims, and they are the comfiest most softest pajamas.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
In the world.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
I do have a pair of ever Jay pajamas as well.
They're great, but I don't know. I love my skims
and Dairy Boy better.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
So I feel like for.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Sisters and family members, like pajamas are just such a
good staple gift, and that's what I think I'm gonna do,
Like pajamas in a candle.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
I feel like that's perfect. If you guys have any
more ideas, let me know.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Honestly, I'm like pretty good at shopping for anyone.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
I love gift giving.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Like I would say a staple gift that I always
get for my stepdad and my stepbrother are workout clothes
you just can never go wrong.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
A Lulu set and Alo set.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
I would say Little Louise more Lulu, Big Louise more Alo.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
So I'll just do like a solid Alo set.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Christian we've been dating for so long, so sometimes we'll
throw in a gift that we want and we kind
of pick it out our ourselves, and then we'll throw
in a couple surprise gifts. But he's definitely the biggest
person I shop for on Christmas. But he's pretty consistent
every Christmas. He always says that he wants clothes like
(12:13):
a new wardrobe revamp. So honestly, I think him and
I need to spend a day and really go through
all of his clothes and kind of just see what
he wants to keep and what he doesn't want to keep,
and then I think we need to go to the
mall and do like a big shopping spree and that'll
(12:33):
be obviously like part of his Christmas gift, and then
I'll throw in some things that he obviously wouldn't expect,
And that's.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Kind of what we do, like our big gift to
each other.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
We typically know what it is every year, and then
we'll throw in a couple.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Little things that we wouldn't that we don't know about.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
But yeah, I love gift giving on the holidays though,
and that is I think one of my many ways
of showing my love and appreciation. So I used to
always do something really sentimental for Christian with basically every
gift that I gave him, and I want to do
that again. And he saved all of them, which is
(13:14):
so cute. But you know the boxes and each layer
is a different row of like photos, So I did that.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I made us a scrap book.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
I just always loved making him little things like a
jar of Oh, pull this out when you're feeling sad,
or this that. Like. I always love to do cute
little things, and I feel like I haven't done that
in so long.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
So he's been.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Bringing me a lot of flowers lately, so I think
I need to do something that is going to make
him feel special too, So let me know I need
some recommendations.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Yeah, the holidays are such a great time of the year.
It really just.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Gives you time to chill, sit back and just enjoy
the people around you, whether it's friends or family. And
it is the season of gift giving and spreading the love.
So I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. And Christmas
(14:21):
is right around the corner, so start shopping, all right.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
And that's it for this week's to You diaries. Love
you guys. Bye,
