Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another week of Giadiaries.
This week, I am going to talk about Love Island.
So last night was the Love Island finale, which was
pretty crazy. I got into Love Island, I would say,
because all my friends were watching it. They were all
talking about this season, and then Christian and I started
(00:23):
watching it together, and I think he became more obsessed
than me. So then Christian and I started watching it together.
Whenever I'm down the shore on the weekends, my friends
and I will watch it in the morning and do
a little morning recap. So it really has been such
a great show to watch. I definitely feel like this
(00:44):
season is the first season that I genuinely really watched
the show through and through. The challenges are crazy. I
don't know if I would personally be able to go
on Love Island and do that. I mean, I just
don't think I could kiss that many people in one challenge.
(01:06):
I just I don't know if I could do that.
But I think a lot of things were shocking this
season on reasons of why people were getting sent home,
aside from viewers' votes or just voting within the villa.
So that was kind of what I said last week
on Casual Chaos. If you want to be in the
(01:27):
public eye, especially being on a show like Love Island,
it gets attention all across the US and more. I feel,
so if you want to come into the space of
the public eye, you, I don't even want to say,
clear your tracks, Like, if you are just not fit
(01:48):
to being in the public eye and have done things
in your past, then you probably should not be exploiting
yourself on reality TV or in the public eye, because
everything always comes out. I guess this is just kind
of a friendly reminder to always check yourself. Everything can
always be traced back online, and things that you never
(02:08):
thought could resurface will resurface. And I always learned that
just growing up on reality TV. No matter what, everything
will resurface from your past, whether it's good or bad.
But the bad is more likely to resurface because that
gives the drama and that's what viewers want to see. Unfortunately,
(02:32):
so you always just have to kind of, you know,
cross every t and dot every eye before really putting
yourself out there in the public eye, something that Christian
and I disagreed on in the beginning, but then we
came to agreeance at the end was Huda. I love
her and I always loved her, and at first, you know,
(02:55):
she did go through things in the beginning of the
season with you know, her emotion and how quick her
and Jeremiah kind of took off, but she just basically
had to get a handle of her emotions and just
be true to herself. And I feel like you really
saw her growth throughout the Love Island journey, and that
(03:16):
made me love her even more because when you see
somebody not grow and stay at that same level, obviously
that shows that you know they're not benefiting themselves. But
I really loved her with Chris, and I'm really sad
to see that they broke up on this finale episode.
(03:38):
I just felt like he was perfect for her in
the sense of always keeping her calm and trying to
really talk through situations. I felt like he was really
understanding and always tried to see where she was coming
from and talk through and really communicate, which I think
(04:01):
is so important in a relationship. But ever since Chris
brought up to her that she doesn't kiss him outside
of being in bed and going to sleep, I think
that really affected their relationship and kind of honestly formed
(04:22):
like a shift in their whole relationship since then, I
felt like they were not intimate. I know, in not
last night's episode, but the episode before, Huda was trying
to you know, kiss him and cuddle with him in
bed and he was pretending like he was sleeping. It
reminded me of you know, when you're fighting with your
(04:44):
boyfriend and they turned the other way and just don't
want to talk to you. But that's never a good
feeling to obviously receive on the other end. So you
definitely saw that shift in their relationship. I thought maybe
when Huda's sisters came and Chris's sister and mom came,
that that would kind of bring them back together, but
(05:07):
it didn't. Even though you know, Chris was saying that
his family could be really harsh, and they ended up
really loving Huda. I feel like even though they didn't
come out with being a couple at the end and
this journey in a relationship, I think this experience definitely
benefited both of them. It shows you what you want
(05:30):
and what you don't want in a relationship. You're connecting
with so many different people and just seeing so many
different relationships form. I think this definitely was great for Huda,
and I feel like she's a better person after this.
So I loved her and I am I hope she's
happy with her journey. And I really loved Chris too.
(05:52):
I just felt like he was so calm and a
really good communicator. So I hope he finds someone too.
My second favorite, I have to it's kind of a
tie for me. I love Amaya and Ryan. I love
their chemistry and how much they accept each other. When
(06:14):
they were doing the Tell All with the male notes.
I loved the way that Brian stock up for Amaya
and really defended their Latina culture and said, you know,
this is how she talks, this is very normal. And
I really loved the way that he defended her, and
I felt like that was that just was gonna, you know,
(06:37):
seal the deal that they were going to make it
till the end. And I hope Amaya gets so many
brand deals after leaving the villa. I mean, Poppy literally
named a drink after Amaya Papaya. So I hope she
gets her bag when she gets out of the villa,
and I think she will. And then I love Iris
(06:57):
and Pepe love I think Iris and Pepe are both
just so down to earth. Pepe is so sweet, and
Iris held her composure and was just so put together
the entire season of Love Island. I have so much
respect for her, and even though they came in last place,
(07:17):
I really think they are going to leave the villa
and be such an amazing couple. Then Nick and Landria,
I don't know. I had really mixed emotions about Nick
when Sierra left, because I feel like he could have
(07:39):
left the villa with her, and he was the one
that obviously closed things off and made things exclusive with Sierra,
so when she left, I feel I just felt like,
if their connection was that strong, then he should have
left the villa with Sierra. But then how quick things
just with him in Alandria. Considering that Alandria and Sierra
(08:04):
were so close, I just thought that whole thing was
very fishy. And then I didn't I don't know. I
kind of just felt like Nick was there for the plot.
I just didn't know what his real intentions were, and
I knew, like I really did love Alandria and Taylor,
but you know, Taylor found his match with Clark, and
I loved the way that they exited the villa as well.
(08:26):
They exited the villa together as a couple, So I
give Alandria props for, you know, making it as long
as she did and not being in a couple and
not really having a real connection. But then once Sierra
left and like Nick was single and that whole thing happened,
I just felt like it was very fishy, especially because
(08:49):
of Alandria, Sierra and Shelley attacking Hudah for Chris. I
just felt like, Okay, you guys are gonna attack Khuda
for a apparently not being a girl's girl and not
letting Shelley explore her relationship with Chris. But then Sierra
left and Alandra's tongue was down Nick's throat in zero
(09:10):
point five seconds. So I just I never really understood
that aspect of things, and I just thought the whole
thing was kind of fishy and that they were just
there for the plot. So I don't know, maybe they
do have a really strong connection, and I just I
don't see it just because of everything that happened. But
(09:34):
I do think they like each other. I just don't
know how real I feel like the connection is. And
maybe and that's just my opinion. I didn't like the
way Nick played that. I just felt like it was
very very sneaky and Alandria too, So then maybe they
are meant for each other. Maybe they they are actually
going to be perfect for each other. But yeah, that
(09:58):
was kind of my Love Island recap. I loved Iris
and TJ, but I feel like her and Pepe just
have such a better relationship because when you are close
as best friends first and then form into a romantic relationship,
I just feel like you really know a lot about
each other and the chemistry is there. So I am
(10:19):
really happy for Iris as well. The other season that
I really watched was UK when Ecken, Sue and davy
Day one, and I was obsessed with eck and Sue
and davy Day. Oh my god, I thought they were
the hottest couple ever. But that was years ago. I
was in college. I think I was a junior in
(10:40):
college when their season aired. And then obviously I know
Leah and Miguel and all of them from their season,
but I never actually watched their season. I always saw
clips on it, especially because their season just went so viral,
and you know, Kayler and and just all of them
(11:01):
and Kendall. But yeah, no, Leah definitely had some iconic moments. Obviously,
I knew Rob. There was just a lot of things
on TikTok from their season that were just so iconic,
and they blew up you know, Kayler and live work
heavily with Revolve. They all just have amazing brand partnerships
(11:23):
and really established a career after that season. I also
think that their friendships are really real. They even just are.
Another show from their season is actually launching Love Island
outside the Villa and it's Leah's season, it's all of them,
and it's launching on Peacock really soon and it's Love
Island outside the Villa. And I think that's the first
(11:45):
time that they've ever done Love Island outside the Villa.
Clarify me if I'm wrong, But this is just how
like iconic their season was and how real their friendships are.
They hang out obviously outside of the villa. Now they
go to a bunch of events together and do brand
deals together. So I would say, like, who wouldn't want
(12:10):
to act like their season. I know a lot of
people were saying that this current season of Love Island
they were trying so hard to be like last season,
And I mean, after seeing the way that these people's
careers exploded after last season of Love Island. I think
anyone going into this show sees the potential of where
(12:33):
your career can go that I totally get it, but
you can't try too hard. It also needs to be
authentic because people can see through that. But after seeing
last season of Love Island and seeing where their careers
took them, after just going on this show where you're
just trying to find love and it's just one of
(12:53):
those fun dating shows that you think you're gonna go on,
kind of like The Bachelor. I know some current people
from this season in we're recently just all in La together.
So if you try to form, you know, friendships and
really keep your friendships and relationships outside of the villa,
I think a handful of people from this season are
really going to pop off now that the season has ended.
(13:16):
I think Kuda is gonna be just fine. She I've
been seeing so many clips of her on TikTok and
they're not even her accounts, and they're getting over two
hundred thousand likes, So I think she's gonna be just fine.
Amaya is gonna kill it. I honestly think Shelley and
Ace are gonna be fine too, even though I feel
(13:39):
like I just love Ace's personality. I always loved Ace's personality.
I feel like he's so real and raw and tells
it how it is, and I love I love somebody
who can do that and have and has a personality
like that. I think the final four couples will be
just fine, especially a Maya Papaya. That Poppy brand partnership
is waiting for her when she leaves the villa. And
(14:03):
I think Chris, he just had such a warm and
sweet personality. He was a great communicator. I think people
are really are really gonna love him too, you know
after this season and in the like, you know, outside
of the Villa and Alandria and Nick, I don't know
(14:23):
people loved them. I mean they got second place. I guess.
I'm just curious to see how it's gonna be for
them outside of the villa. I'm pretty sure. And this
makes me love Amaya even more. She was the only
one that didn't have somebody run her Instagram for her
while she was in the villa. Amaya has two point
five million followers right now on Instagram. She's gonna kill
(14:46):
it when she gets out Huddah has two point nine million,
which is insane. I think she she's gonna have an
amazing career. Two the fact that she's almost at three
million followers. And once she starts posting her organic stuff
again on Instagram because she had somebody running her account,
(15:07):
it was a lot of posts about Love Island. But yeah,
she's at two point nine million. And again, a sound
that went viral with Hudah was the Amamami. So I
think they're all gonna have amazing careers after this. All right, guys,
and that was all for this week's episode of Geodiaries
(15:30):
and I will see you next week. Love you guys. Bye,
